@womaniz for rosalie
he lingers in the doorway for a moment before stepping in. it always astounded him how esme always managed to set up their new homes so quickly, and each time making them feel just as warmly as the last had. they had moved on from the last town as late as they could have. it seemed everyone had grown attached to the small town. even he had grown attached to the people that would frequent his medical office. " i know that leaving isn't always easy. " he paused moving in to lean on the corner of the desk. " at least this house has a garage for you to work on your cars. "

the curse of eternal life always felt greatest when tied to human society, having to see those aging and moving on with their lives as they had to hide the fact they remain stagnant. having to leave the humans he had grown to cherish may have become easier for him, but he had gotten hundreds of years of practice watching the world grow and change around him. his family that he had created became a grounds of peace and love that he cherished beyond all else, and hated any ideas of them facing any pains. " i'd love to see some of the work that you do. " he loved all of his children's hobbies that they picked up throughout the years. rosalie's talent of engineer and workshop was no exception. he paused at the question, his face falling into a frown. he knew this wasn't easy for any of them, and he hated his lack of ability to shield them from this kind of pain. " as long as we can. there's the high school and the college. it's not one of the best you've been to, but it would keep us here longer. " a tight smile appeared on his face as he attempted to assuage the pain that came from moving constantly. " if nothing goes wrong, we could stay for at least seven years. but i think alice may have a better idea than i. "
no matter how much time had passed, each move chipped a piece away of who she was. it was a reminder that time simply stood still : she'd never have a proper home, a proper family to settle down with, be able to grow old and die. this was forever and it was an awfully long time. yet, the cullen's, emmett ... they made this life bearable. this is what it entailed and she had come to accept it; although, it was something rosalie would never wish upon anyone. " it's just another move. " tone flat cold. she slowly folded clothes, putting them away in drawers as rosalie vaguely acknowledged his presence, " i like that. " sighing briefly, turning towards his direction, " how long will we be here for? "
