Enjoying myself trying out my new English Longbow, made by an American bow maker. This is a single hickory stave and a little different from what I am used to. ........... I'm loving the quiet, early evening, surrounded by beautiful scenery, as I gently stretch the bow and myself whilst trying out new draw techniques and positions to suit. I've also recently made new wooden arrows which you can see in the photo. ......... It's been a while since I've posted and shot a bow, and will need to take things steady to build up the strength and momentum I had before. Does anyone have any tips? .......... Practising the two finger draw. If you look closely in this short video demonstration, you can see where I make a mistake of leaning forward on the draw. It's interesting to observe just by the small change from three finger to two finger how I need to work on strengthening these weaker areas.
