Hi, so I've been watching you for a while but this is my first time writing. First of all, your blog is incredible and thank you, I'm ignorant to say the least, but you are certainly helping me to learn. That being said, I was wondering if you have ever heard of the musician Brett Dennen? He does a song called "Because you are a woman" and I was wondering what your feelings on it are? I'm just a bit uncertain what to think about it. It feels a bit off, but that might just be my imagination.
Hmmmmm. I’m not entirely sure. I know it does mildly annoy me for some reason but I can’t put my finger on it. Gives me a slight vibe like whoever she is, she is being put on a pedestal a bit. He sounds a bit John Green ish.

Let's not be too haaaaasty! (Still I think he's RATHER tasty.)
Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat, otherwise we'd get along. (WRONG!)

I don’t know, I would call it inspiring. Being able to push through anxiety and be willing to converse with strangers. It was a very worthwhile cause. I didn’t even actually help when it was happening.
Well, thank you! :) It did help that I brought a friend along. Moral support can be nice. :D

I’m so sorry. Though I am really impressed that you were able to call strangers, that’s very inspiring actually.
It took me a few minutes to compose myself enough to do it. But I dunno, it felt like the right thing to do for a cause that I support so adamantly. Is it really inspiring...?

Funny story my mom is the only person that has told me I need to get over it. Thankfully i’ve been able to hide it from people for the most part. Hey! Rants are perfectly alright, why are we on tumblr if not for ranting?
That's good! I can usually hide mine too, except when I volunteered to help with the Vote No campaign and I had to call a bunch of strangers and nearly hyperventilated beforehand. That was fun.
And that is true, Tumblr is a perf place for ranting!

It’s kind of weird. I have not be diagnosed, but it’s a condition that has gotten worse recently. I am trying to get over it, but it is not exactly a simple fix. I do understand the enjoyment of being around people, I just can’t do it myself.
I definitely get that!
I just hope people haven't told you you need to get over it because that is the single SHITTIEST response ever. I have anxieties that aren't social anxiety and they SUCK and when people tell me to just "get over them already" like I have an actual choice in the matter it makes me angry.
Whoops that became a rant.

I can understand your feeling there. It gets difficult when you have social anxiety though. It’s difficult to feel comfortable around people. singing, kissing, dancing, those are good, but I usually don’t imagine good things happening there…
I totally understand! I myself don't have social anxiety, but my best friend does, and I have heard from her about what it's like. I guess I can't say I understand completely what it's like, but I understand the concept pretty clearly.
Anyway, I just really like being around people. Even if it is difficult for me to communicate with said people. But if you don't like being around people or it's difficult, I get that too!

Well…there is that. But it’s so much easier to not deal with people at all…
Easier, yes. But you begin to lose the excitement of spontaneity without "real-world" interaction. You can't always guess what a person is going to do when you meet them outside of the computer. You can't guess whether they are going to make a witty comment or do a random jig or burst out singing or just up and kiss you, even!
Where is all the excitement of life when you don't have any of that? The real feelings that make you shiver or make you sweat or make you get that feeling way down in the pit of your stomach?
#wolfonthewind#i am a major extrovert#who is also really shy and anxious#so i appreciate interaction much more than you'd think

The nice thing about the internet is that there are always new people to meet and new adventures to have without having to leave your room.
Yes, that is nice. Although leaving your room and talking to those lovely people outside of the computer screen is really nice too. Unfortunately most Internet people don't live very close...
#wolfonthewind#i didn't have any internet friends from the MN until i met you actually#unless they were also irl friends
