The offer was sweet. A gentle relief for the elder as he tried all over again to compose himself. He'd killed someone. He had no choice, they were hurting Vash and the only way to stop it was to end a life. He'd tried other ways, but the screams were unbearable. He'd scrubbed himself raw, his pale skin an ugly red in places where the blood and viscera had touched him, his clothes hurled and his stomach contents vacated in the mad haze. He couldn't even remember how they'd gotten to the hotel room. How he'd managed not to drive himself into the ground by his own blades. A lie even in his own thoughts, for the very reason was right beside him. The whole ordeal had stained platinum black at the front, a tiring ordeal to fight a demon, for that wasn't human. "I.... I killed him..." the elder pacifist was torn at this, horror burning his eyes. He'd hurt others in the past, torn tendons and blown kneecaps, sure, but never killed. "I'm a monster."

A sigh could be heard behind that great cloak of blades. Knives did not seem to feel like showing his face… for now. Being his brother he had met, he was far more permissive than anyone else who tried to get close.

The young man borderline snarled at the paper slowly becoming increasingly crinkled in his pale grasp. Such occasional list is beyond specific on brands and level of preparation on certain objects. A weird tincture he could only purchase at some shady pet shop in exchanging all too human bones? Seriously even his daytime delivery job going to multiple locations dropping off even more so questionable materials isn’t this asinine. Last time he will do any extra favors.

A pair of silver eyes stare back at D from a face that mirrors his own. "It's been some time brother," the twin known as E murmurs with a shark-like grin. "What troubles bring you here?"

Blue eyes meet silver as the two dhampir brothers are now face to face. His twin is identical to him in all ways but his eyes and personality, while D was taciturn, aloof, and serious; E was the opposite. Ruthless, expressive, prone to giving into his bloodlust. Everything D shuns and tries to bury within himself. A true dark mirror into his soul.

His brother is the twin-shadowed knight.

"It truly has." Though in some cases, D thinks not long enough. " But I assure you, I won't be long. Just another hunt to accomplish in this God-forsaken place."

So this was who he'd planned to feed to the feral. Great. he watched the other, eyes bland behind his glasses. "Unfortunately, I do know him." his words are drawn out, bland as he huffed, sagging back into the window. "Why'd you come here anyways? Con's not one to just invite randoms here, what's your deal?" he'd intended to tell the other to stay away and they'd be fine, but curiosity was far too strong.

☮︎ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ "I don't mind." He didn't. Second-hand smoke was the least of his problems, & if he were being honest, Vash liked the smell. If the stranger didn't have a problem sharing the room then he might as well stay. The blonde folded the paper & placed it back into his coat pocket, which he proceeded to shrug off & place on the end of the unoccupied bed along with his duffle bag.

"So, you know him?" Blue eyes sparked recognition from beneath round orange glasses. "He's the one who invited me here. I'm meeting him tonight." There's a curious head tilt followed by a gentle smile. "I'm Vash. It's nice to meet you, Mister Nicholas. Thank you for being so kind about the room situation. I'll try not to be a bother."

picture this: you turn over and realize they’re half-awake too. they pull you back under the blanket they stole during the night and wrap their arms around you. as you drift back to sleep you realize you couldn’t love a person more if you tried. they’re the safe space you go to when you’re anxious, the person where unabashed honesty doesn’t feel terrifying but something you’re grateful for. it took a long time and even though you never thought you’d be able to say this, you finally feel at home. at home in the same way you do when you look at the moon, and it’s all you’ve ever wanted from life.

☮︎ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ It was Wolfwood Vash had meant to grab, catching the Double Fang instead. It didn't seem to be an issue, however, or that Livio was significantly taller than Stampede -- despite Vash sinking lower into the cushioned couch beneath him.

The blonde released a breathy sigh, smelling of the alcohol he had consumed. His arms wrapped securely around Livio's frame while the outlaw nuzzled the side of his face into his campion's neck.

"Ah...hi Livi," Vash hummed dreamily, his cheeks red as a rose, glasses tilted on his face. He wasn't wearing his coat as it had been discarded somewhere. Most likely lost in a sea of people attending the nightclub. But Vash didn't seem concerned.

"Mmm, you so warm. Like a fluffy bear."

"I'm glad you find my form welcoming." Livio murmured with a faint smile. To be honest he didn't mind this in the slightest. If it brought the blonde peace it meant he was doing his job. Not to mention he couldn't lose the fool if he was currently on his lap.

What did get him to squeak though was the feel of Vash's lips so close to his neck, the brush of his nose against his skin was a sensation he just wasn't ready for, even if it was harmless cuddling. The shudder he gave was a full body one, biting his bottom lip to stifle a startled noise, his face painting red.

His grip held Vash tighter, breath slightly more ragged than before. "H-Hah...Vash please be c-careful..." Livio sputtered out weakly. Timidly reached up, taking Vash's chin in hand to look him in the eye. Oh he was right blasted, huh...

"How much have you drunk, Stampede."
