The fact of that matter is that I was digging through their production decisions and the evidence just piles on that reddie happening the way it did in that movie was... not intentional by the production staff. sksndjdkdnd the actors were just obsessed with each other and annoying and muschetti is a director who (and I don’t necessarily disagree) thinks the best way to get natural acting from kids is to let them be themselves and give lots of input and etc so we ended up with what happened and tbh if jake was an adult he probably would have demanded a rightfully deserved writing credit on that film

that doesn’t necessarily mean that I think they’ll throw it all away in this movie bc I don’t think the production staff is stupid and it’s a great dynamic, Gay or otherwise. but I don’t think it will be in the script at all in similar amounts and I don’t think The Adults will force it in there at all in the same fashion so we’re all gonna be wearing our reddie clown wigs basically

#StrangerThings Renewed for Season 3

Well, it looks we're going to be getting more awesome eighties references because Netflix announced on Friday that they've renewed Stranger Things for a third season. 

  The series co-creators the Duffer Brothers had previously confirmed that a potential third season would make a time jump ahead of a year to 1985, when the aforementioned classics ruled the box office. 

 "Even if we wanted to hop into the action faster, we couldn't," said Matt Duffer, when he told The Hollywood Reporter. "Our kids are aging, We can only write and produce the show so fast. They're going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting Season 3...(so) it forces you to do a time jump."

  The Duffer Brothers also hinted that Season 3 would feature a rematch between Mind Flyer and Eleven, telling THR that the shadow monster is "very much aware of the kids, and particularly Eleven. It had not encountered her and her powers until that final episode. Now it knows that she's out there."

 Stranger Things' season two was, by all account, a smashing success. Although Netflix doesn't release any viewership data, Nielsen reported that a total of 15.8 million people watched the first episode during it's first three days of availability (starting Oct. 27th), putting it right on par with The Walking Dead's recent Live+3 DVR numbers. 

 Returning for Season 3 are series regulars Winona Ryder (Joyce), David Harbour (Jim), Finn Wolfhand (Mike), Noah Schnapp (Will), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Cara Buono (Karen), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Keery (Steve) Dacre Montgomery (Billy) and Sadie Sink (Max).

 There are no information on the episode count for season 3. The first two seasons were consisted of eight and nine episodes. Maybe we'll get ten episodes?

but i’m mixed on his whole Lewk in general. but i also don’t think they put a ton of thought into it to be WHOLLY honest with u. like i don’t think they considered how he chose to dress in the book as an adult reflected where he was in his relationship with his Self. i think they were like “how do we make him look as much like fann wolfhands (like they did with everyone else) so people aren’t sitting there the whole times being like ‘wait which kid is that again’.”

book richie and his lewk- the no glasses, the suit, all of that, to me, is just a reflection of how much he hates himself and who he was as a child, and how hard he strived to get away from it. the degredation to his old look and old self was part of his journey back to derry. i think they don’t really have time to incorporate this into the movie but by doing so, they’re skipping a hell of a lot of character development. then again, there are 7 of them… i really think they’re only gonna spend that kind of time on bill and bev. (not even ben. i think they’re just gonna be like: here’s ben, he’s perfect now.)

#StrangerThings S2, Ep. 7 & 8: "Chapter 7: The Lost Sister"/"Chapter 8: The Mind Flayer" Recap/Review

Chapter 7: The Lost Sister

As Eleven goes into the mind of her mama's to search for what had happened to her and turned up to find that there might be a sibling.

When Eleven goes out on her own and searching for what she calls sister, who happens to have been with her when she was with Papa. Eleven fines Eight (the person that was in the beginning of the first episode) in Chicago after searching in mama's mind and papers that her aunt has kept.  

There in Chicago, she finds Eight along with her gang, who happen to show a little bit of The Outsiders in a way. Soon after Eleven tells Eight who she is and what brought her to see her, the two connected well. But Eight has ideas for what her and her gang can do with Eleven's powers, one of them is being taking down the person that hurt their mama.

Soon Eleven travels with Eight and the gang to search for the man that ruined their mama. As they get there, they start touching the man and just when Eleven was about to kill him, she saw a photo of him with his daughters and stopped. Eight later pulls a gun and Eleven stops her from shooting him. But the kids, who happen to be in their bedrooms, had called 911 and soon the cops were on their way. Eleven gets a few words from Eight about never to stop her. Back at the hideout, Eight get into Eleven's head when she sees papa walking in the room and has Eleven apologizing. But soon as things were seemed to be okay, the Chicago PD was on there way to bust in. But with Eight and her mind tricks, they did get away but only Eleven decided not to stay with Eight and her gang and left them to go back to her friends.  "The Lost Sister" was a strong episode. I enjoyed the one stand along episode of Eleven's adventure to see her lost sister and come to find that Eight is not like her at all and quite different from what she has learned with Mike and friends. Browns gives a good performance once again and the writing was really good. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.  

Chapter 8: The Mind Flayer

HOLY SHIPS!!! From beginning to the end I was either stand up or sitting on the edge of my chair during this episode. The episode picks off right where we left in episode six and the creatures has come up and taken apart the lab. Mike tells Joyce to put Will to sleep because he is the one communicating with the creatures and after Joyce asked Will a simple question that only needed to be answered in a split second, she put him to sleep. 

Owens and Hopper get to Joyce, Mike, Bob and Will and headed to the control room after there seems to be no way out. As they get into the control room, the power goes out and it looked like it was up to Bob to save the day. Bob goes to turn the power back on and has he does he also helps navigating the creatures away from the area.

With Hopper, Joyce, Mike and Will out, only Bob was the last to get out and with the help from Owen, it looked it her was in good shape but sorry to say, he got the Barb treatment in this one. As Bob was in the closet, he steps out and as soon as he walks out, he knocks the broom stick out and falls to the floor. One of the creatures hears it and chases Bob but as he escapes death, turns out that the creature jumped through the doors and attacked him. Hopper grabs a very upset Joyce and with Johnathan and Nancy driving in, they all left along with Lucas, Dustin, Max and Steve. They all head back to Joyce's house and trying to figure out what the hell these creatures are and only Mike and the gang come up with an idea of what these creatures are and figures that the creature is communicating from Will's mind and soon figures that Will is still there and communicates with Morse code. So they do an interrogation but only telling him stories from birthdays to drawing to even to music and first time Mike and Will met. Those scenes were very powerful, mostly from Joyce and Mike telling Will. They do get a message out that says "Close Gate." Which is probably about the gate that Eleven came through from the upside down. But all good plans must fail at some point and that comes from the phone in the house going off twice and soon Joyce puts Will out again and takes him back to the house. Everyone is on full alert as the creature was to come. There seemed to be one around the house until it screams and what looked like it jumped through the window but apparently it was dead. Soon the locks on the door started to unlock and as the door opens, everyone's faces were in shock to see that Eleven is back!! OMG! "The Mind Flayer" was probably one of the best intense episodes comparing to the others in this season. It had a blended of humor, intense drama, emotional drama and not to mention a great ending to the episode with Eleven walking in. I don't know about you guys but does anyone thing that Hopper might be Will's dad? I'm asking this because that's what my brother thinks. Also, I thought that Mike's eulogy of Bob was very nice and heartwarming as well. Anyway, the performances from Ryder, Wolfhand and Schanpp were amazing and so memorable. I did have to grab tissues. Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10. You can catch Season 2 of Stranger Things available on Netflix now along with Season One.

And she did, the sound guttural and choked, but nonetheless laughter. It echoed from her throat, torn and bloody, spitting mirth into the face of her mortality, refusing to be cowed by the idea that it had all come to an end. Was this it, then? Did they think there was something grand in taking her down, a travel-weary wanderer, underfed and footsore and tired? She laughed because it didn’t matter, none of it, because she hoped that Saboro would find them all the next day, because she had no purpose anyway, because she had fooled herself into believing she had left for any other reason but selfishness. If Gemini couldn’t be her’s entirely, then she wanted none of it.

Threw his head back and yelled into the winds, arms spread wide, teeth bared to the world.

Her head fell against the dirt, mouth agape with that laughter, which died ahead of its host, leaving only her fangs, still bared with lips peeled back, dipped in blood, ready to resume the battle. There was no fight remaining, however. If the red tattoos found her sister in a week’s time, in a month’s time, ten years down the road, Derringer would not be there to fight like she had when they found Avery, when they found Nathan, like she would have if Coven had truly walked into Gemini to bear witness to Serrate giving birth. Derringer’s battles were over, her fight for control, her struggle for power, for the upper wolfhand, all of it was done.

(There is a bitter triumph in crashing when you should be soaring.)

And shouldn’t she have soared? She could have risen high, above the rest of them, she could have conquered the sun at last, eclipsed her sister and taken it all for herself, ruled above the rest with Gaius at her side, with Falcon set poised to inherit all she’d finally stolen for her own. At her most bitter and vengeful, she told herself this, forgot about the countless wolves that held allegiance to the kinder, gentler Queen rather than the vicious one. She had left, abandoned Gemini to its Queen of ice, given her sister the peace Serrate always dreamed of, and it had caused her ultimate demise; the sweet irony of it all burned in her chest, that she had been brought down for something she had no part of. Let them believe they’d found the culprit, let Serrate blame her son’s death on her sister, let them all rot for all she cared.

The wax scorched his skin, ran blazing trails down his back, his thighs, his ankles, his feet.

Derringer felt blood dripping down her fur, felt it burning from where they had ripped into her, where they had stolen her life from her. She had given life to one of them! And she would have given life to the other as well, she would have taken him as her’s and given him the authority of her name, her rank, their children. No more. Her eyes flickered to Gaius, to Absinthe, and locked onto her daughter. ”I hope you burn.” The snarl echoed dimly, her eyes rolled back to Gaius, but when she tried to curse him in turn she found the words had escaped her, that there was an odd sensation of cotton in her throat where there should have been venom.

Feathers floated like prayers past his fingers, close enough to snatch back.

She felt it in her paws, first, this unique sensation; it tingled and yet was entirely numb, a static fuzz that spread from toenail to paw pad to ankle and further up, coursing through her body. A unique sense of curiosity, a naïve sensation unlike any she could remember feeling, bloomed within her thoughts. It was like a child’s wonder. She went to raise her head to look at her legs, and found she couldn’t. How odd.

Death breathed burning kisses against his shoulders, where the wings joined the harness.

Next came the heaviness. Where before there was nothing, suddenly she keenly felt her inability to move. She tried to rise, resulting in a twitch along her shoulders that she couldn’t feel, tried again to lift her head, eyes rolling, amusement replaced with anger replaced with panic. She wanted to scream at them, rage at being rendered so helpless, because for all her derision toward those smaller and weaker than herself Derringer had always found somebody else to blame when it was her in that situation, whether beaten down in a fight or demoted to the lowest of the low.

 The sun painted everything in shades of gold.

 She found them, again, staring at her two assailants, the child she had wanted rescued from the pits of hell, the man she had envisioned at her side until her death. They would have done well in Saboro, the both of them; Absinthe was more like her than she had ever seen before. Had she done that, through trying to unlock the secret of her sister’s strength? Had she instead unlocked some mimicry of herself, the vengeful daughter that would always hate her, that would see her dead sooner than bond with her? Did Absinthe see it, how she was nothing but the same old sad tale, repeated over and over again in this twisted scheme of fate – except this time she shattered it, that unbroken circle, bringing down the specter that haunted her dreams.

Her vision hazed over, giving the same warm tint to the surrounding area that befitted Saboro. Her former home – or her true home. Had she ever really left? Wasn’t she alone still acting under the guidelines that brutal place had instilled, weren’t her decisions only ever based off the careful molding her mother had done? Didn’t they understand? She never would have stopped. Serrate never would have rested. Derringer couldn’t ever stomach the thought of not being in control, she could only ever see justification in the weakness that was Serrate’s kindness. They would have continued, over and over and over again; Cain and Abel, Apollo and Artemis, Romulus and Remus, Castor and Pollux. Whether they were simply contrasting the other in opposition, sun to moon, ice to fire, or coexisting to survive, defending one another, fighting – all of it would have ended the same way.

She wanted to look at the two that had conquered her and scream, Don’t you understand, we would have killed each other anyway! But instead of ending in a fitting twist of fate, a scene too familiar to not become legend, Serrate’s ever-present demon fell here, two champions above her, rescuing their Queen from a reality that would have unfolded at an apex, perhaps on the cliffs overlooking the sea, or on a solitary island, full of questions and mysteries and death. Instead, Derringer’s choices had brought her here, her reckless impulsiveness leading to her unmistakable end, her desire to crush and control and take leading to her own demise.

(There is a certain beauty in setting the world on fire and watching from the centre of the flames.)

 But Derringer was the only one burning. The grey crept in around the edges, pops of it exploding in the middle of her vision, body feeling cold and numb and unbearably hot all at once – and then nothing.

Her eyes closed, and so did her chapter in their overarching story. The Lunar Queen, the Vengeful Sister, the Entitled Daughter – however you describe her, Icarus fell for the last time, crashing into blackness, sinking away from them all, leaving the sun to her rightful place in the sky.

The End.
