Hiii omg its so good to see a fellow book of hungry names enjoyer out there.... i was wondering if u managed to get sex scenes with podge ingame? Bcuz I've seen people mention it's possible and ever since then I have been desperately trying to no avail 😩 it's cool if you didn't, just thought i'd shoot my shot (also im literally obsessed with your art its so good)

anyway shitty diy romance guide under the cut

including other companions bc ive seen ppl have problems hooking up with melodie too but there is/was a podge-specific bug ill get to after the general stuff. disclaimer first tho english is not my native language & i dont play on steam so cant code dive properly BUT essentially:

podge, elton & melodie’s routes require some initial investment in charisma—not a lot (2 dots is fine) but the higher ur charisma the higher the modifier will be during romance checks, which will help you pass even if your relationship score with them isnt the best/mid range 2/3 dots. in the same vein some of the convictions your character can have also act as modifiers. what ive been able to piece together is that:

melodie likes when you uphold & respect the litany/tradition & the three families, but keep humans/nomi at a distance or out of the picture entirely for their own safety

elton likes when you maintain dignity in your situations, are logical/calculative making decisions & successful in your chosen means to an end (failing rolls is swagless behavior he will judge you)

podge likes when you weaponize your Rage—not necessarily escalating everything to violence (but it is a fair bit of that lmao) but in terms of like challenging the litany/tradition/authority, protecting the weak/disadvantaged

nin likes when you remain level-headed/composed, keep an open mind, respect her as a person/don’t treat her different as a wolfborn, utilize & accept your spiritual third as garou—recognize that cultivating gaia with kindness & hope are as important as protecting her with teeth & claws

TLDR for best relationship modifiers:

Elton: 2 or more dots in Charisma, high Find Purpose Through Dignity conviction

Melodie: 2 or more dots in Charisma, high The Litany Sustains Us conviction

Podge: 2 or more dots in Charisma, high Our Weapon Is Rage conviction

Nin: 2 or more dots in Composure, high Our Answer Is Spirit conviction

so the issue with podge’s route from what i can tell was a coding error that has since been fixed by kyle, basically during the first date most people opt to kiss podge back, which obviously boosts your romance score but at that point in time it boosted it past the threshold check for the sex scene & locked you out of it for both opportunities LOL. this is no longer the case but if your game hasn’t updated since May (not on version: 52507) you will have to play hard to get with podge (dont kiss him back) or your ass is NAWT getting dicked down later. all other scenes proceeds as normal tho

hopefully this helps!! im currently (slowly) playing thru again testing more stuff so i might update this or make a more detailed cleaner post in the future ^^

Signar and Skjor reached their destination by mid-afternoon. It took some time to find the right hot spring pools. Signar kept walking around until he found a cave. He saw the giant tree inside the cave. The Eldergleam. “This is the one.” He said as he walked out.

Skjor was already stripping and sitting in the warm water by the time Signar finished talking. Signar had to control his face after watching that spectacle.

Signar walked over and removed his clothing as well. He sat down close to Skjor. He sank down into the water. He bet this would feel so much better in the winter. But they were here for the healing properties, not comfort.

Skjor looked at Signar. “Were you talking to Danica?”

Signar nodded. “I know the wound is healed but you still have problems. I asked if she knew anything to help.” He shrugged. “Not sure if it’ll help. But I wanted to try.” The Skaal looked around and sat closer to the edge. An arm's reach from Skjor.

“Why go out of your way for a has-been?” Skjor laughed.

“Which answer do you want?” Signar looked at the water.

Skjor looked at him. He watched him. He thought he’d misunderstood Signar’s past gestures. Apparently not. “The truth.”

Signar’s heart pounded. He swallowed. “I….”

“The truth, Signar,” Skjor said above a whisper. Signar’s heart gave him away. Skjor felt himself inch closer.

Signar stayed silent for a few minutes, debating on what to say. He finally looked at Skjor. His eyes trailed across the scars on his face and exposed skin, to the light color hair that covered his body. Skjor saw the fire burning in Signar’s amber eyes. “I care about you. Like you. Attracted.” Signar looked away, biting his lip.

Confession, huh? That wasn’t what he was expecting when he came out here. Skjor saw a flush on his cheeks. He couldn’t tell if it was from the hot springs or his confession. Both? He would wait. He looked over the younger man. Signar was not young by any accounts being in his mid-forties, but the man somehow managed to keep his youthful appearance. Very few tendrils of gray in his brown hair. Not someone Skjor thought would find him attractive.

Danganronpa V3 Werewolf AU: The Unknowing

So I came up with a Danganronpa werewolf AU idea where all the students at Hope's Peak are werewolves, but nobody knows that everyone else is a werewolf. Basically Monokuma makes a motive saying one person is a werewolf, and the first person to find out who it is will get a free murder with no trial. Of course this is a trick motive since ALL OF THEM are werewolves.

Shuichi trusts Kaede, confesses he's a werewolf, but Kaede thinks he might be lying since she's a werewolf too. They realize the motive must be a faks or something, bit are still nervous to inform the others.

Of course at some point, everyone finds out they're all werewolves and the motive was just to break people's trust in others.

So here is everyone and how they were infected, split between WolfBorn (Born as a werewolf) and WolfTurned (Infected/Turned into a werewolf after birth)

Kaede Akamatsu- WolfTurned: Kaede has a pretty average werewolf story, being bitten and turned into a werewolf when she was in her early teen years. Nothing much to share compared to her talent, other than she has decent control, and can speak a little bit while a wolf. She is a quadropedal werewolf, meaning she walks on all fours as a wolf.

Shuichi Saihara- WolfBorn: Shuichi was born a werewolf, getting the gene from his uncle's side, and being able to use his keen senses and wolf instincts to help with his detective work. His uncle assisted in helping him with his wolf instincts and all that jazz while growing up since he was a werewolf too, and Shuichi has really good control over his wolf form overall, being able to speak and communicate well while a wolf. Shuichi is a polypedal werewolf, meaning he walks on his hindlegs and all fours as a wolf.

Rantaro Amami- WolfBorn: Rantaro was born as a werewolf alongside his sisters. Being the oldest, he always found it as his duty to help his sisters with being werewolves while they were growing up, and helped them through tough transformations and just did what he could to make him feel better. He's worried his sisters could be hunted while missing around the world, so he's doing whatever he can to reunite with them all as soon as possible. Rantaro has an equal amount of control like Shuichi does, but cant speak much while a wolf and is only able to let out growls and barks. Rantaro is a quadropedal werewolf.

Ryoma Hoshi- WolfTurned: During his fight with the mafia, Ryoma was attacked by one of the mafia werewolves who bit him on the shoulder, but Ryoma didnt know that it was a werewolf, and thought the mafia just had really big guard dogs. One night in prison, he transformed out of the blue, and had to be transferred to a werewolf prison. Since he had been bitten by the mafia werewolf, he now has a permanent fur pattern that represents the mafia's logo, which is permanently in his fur forever as a constant reminder of what he did. Ryoma had decent control, and can talk, but just prefers not to. Ryoma is a PolyPedal werewolf.

Kirumi Tojo- WolfBorn: Kirumi was born as a werewolf in her family, and made it her duty to assist humans and werewolves in need, no matter the cost. She looked after the young werewolf pups of the families she worked for a lot while they were out turning, but still did her maid duties during the day whilst a human. Her control is one of the best of the group, Kirumi practically acting like she isnt a werewolf at all in wolf form. Kirumi is, obviously, a bipedal werewolf, meaning she only walks on her hind legs while a wolf.

Tenko Chabashira- WolfBorn: Tenko was born as a werewolf, and was always aggressive in wolf and human form as a child. When she was sent to train with her master, she learned to teach herself disciplinary control with the help of her master. She would always scare away the bad people with her wolf half, using it to her advantage. Tenko has decent control of her werewolf form, but can loose control easily when she gets pissed off by someone (that someone will most likely be a boy...) Tenko is a PolyPedal werewolf, leaning more toward the Bipedal side more than anything

Angie Yonaga- WolfBorn: Angie's island was full of werewolves, everyone there being a werewolf in some way, so it made sense for her to also be born a werewolf as well. She grew up with werewolf traditions, and still uses them at the academy. Angie has good control of her wolf form, and howls more than she talks. Whenever she does talk, it's usually to convince people to join her werewolf rituals, which are blood sacrifices in disguise! Angie is a PolyPedal werewolf, leaning more toward the quadropedal side.

Korekiyo Shinguji- WolfTurned: Korekiyo was infected by his sister "accidentally" at a young age after she was bitten by a werewolf a few years earlier. He still studied anthropology however, still feeling a strong connection to his human half despite being a werewolf. He is fascinated by his werewolf form though, and doesnt hate it the slightest. Korekiyo has a great grip on control, and like Kirumi, treats his body more like a human one than a wolf one. Korekiyo is a bipedal werewolf

Miu Iruma- WolfTurned: Miu was cocky with one of her inventions and tested it on herself, causing her to turn into a werewolf. Womp womp moment. She hated it at first, but now adores her beautiful wolf form, bragging about how good she looks every chance she gets, especially to Kaede since her chest fur is thicker than hers. Miu has a decent grip on control, getting easily annoyed with her wolf instincts and body when trying to invent something are her claws get in the way. Miu is a polypedal werewolf and switches between the two when necessary

Gonta Gokuhara- WolfTurned: This one is pretty self explanatory since Gonta grew up around wolves. One night him and his wolf family got into a fight with a werewolf, and Gonta was bitten by it. He felt more apart of the family since then, but tries to contain his wolf self to make his human family proud. Gonta usually just acts like a big puppy in wolf form, but can't speak while a wolf alike to Rantaro. Gonta is a quadropedal werewolf.

Kokichi Ouma- WolfBorn: Kokichi pretends that he's a WolfTurned, changing the story of how he was infected every time someone asks him. The reason he does this is because WolfBorns all have birthmarks resembling something werewolf related, and Kokichi's birthmark happens to look like a werewolf infection scar. Kokichi was actually born a werewolf and taught himself to gain control with no help. All the members of DICE are also werewolves too, and he considers them like his pack. Another thing Kokichi will lie about is saying he's a werefox, despite being a werewolf. Kokichi pretends he has a terrible grip on control, purposefully acting aggressive but never really hurting anyone. In reality, his control level is up there with Kirumi's level, but he doesnt want anyone else to know that!~ Kokichi is a PolyPedal wolf, usually walking on all fours when pretending to be feral, and walking on hind legs when he isn't pretending or he's just bored of the feral act.

Kaito Momota- WolfBorn: Kaito was born a werewolf from a long line of generations, and he never really liked his werewolf heritage in any way, believing he was a monster in some way. Despite this, Kaito would always find a way to help encourage new werewolves, and teach them proper control, even teaching them good werewolf exercises. Kaito has good control in wolf form, and can speak fluently. Kaito is a bipedal werewolf and refuses to walk on all fours unless he has to.

Tsumugi Shirogane- WolfBorn: Tsumugi thinks her story isnt that special. She was born a werewolf and grew up as a werewolf around humans, living through basically an average Teen-Wolf plot. The only thing special about her is a rare werewolf birth defect, giving her eight tails as a wolf rather than just one. (Eight because Danganronpa V3...five plus three is eight). She even gained the ability to make outfits for those who still want to wear clothes as a werewolf! Tsumugi is practically an "average" werewolf with average control, and can somewhat speak in wolf form. Tsumugi is a polypedal werewolf.

K1B0- WolfTurned: Probably my favorite one of the bunch, Kiibo was turned into a robotic werewolf by some malware that somehow made its way into his program. Professor Idabashi never being able to figure out a way to get rid of said malware, changing into a robotic werewolf under the full moon was now a normal occurrence for Kiibo. He's still adjusting to both human and werewolf culture, coming to Miu every full moon due to the painful transformations he has to endure. The entire time Miu was alive during thw killing game, they would always transform together, and even after Miu's death, he still went to her Ultimate Lab to find comfort during his shifts. Kiibo is still adjusting, and has somewhat decent control over his wolf half. When he doesnt havd control, he usually just growls and warns people to stay away, but is overall friendly when not feral, and has the ability to speak normally. Kiibo is a polypedal werewolf, and often loses balance in wolf form.

Himiko Yumeno- WolfTurned: Himiko was caught in a violent werewolf attack when she was in her early teen years, but prefers to say she was infected by an evil mage. She doesnt like to talk about her infection story, and does what she can to change the subject when asked about it. When in wolf form, Himiko usually just sleeps most of the time, and when she isnt sleeping, she's usually just laying somewhere while practicing magic. Himiko hates her transformations, and like Kiibo, usually transforms with someone. Sometimes Angie or Tenko, but after they died, she did it with whoever she could find as long as they were okay with it. Himiko has a good grip on control, and can speak, but doesnt really want to (opposed to Ryoma just wanting to keep to himself, Himiko is just to exhausted to speak). Himiko is a quadropedal werewolf.

Maki Harukawa- WolfTurned: One of Maki's targets was a werewolf, and unfortunately for her, it fought back and turned her. She is what is called a newly-turned, having a fresh infection wound and still adapting to being a werewolf. Even though she wont admit it, she appreciates Kaito's willingness to assist her in her werewolf journey, despite always shrugging him off and saying she can handle herself. Thanks to her pain tolerance, Maki can handle the transformation pain...or at least make it look like she can. Maki has great control, especially for being a newly-turned. She spends her nights running around to get some exercise in, and is basically a 'lone wolf', but will sometimes hang out with Shuichi and Kaito to do some small group howls. Maki is a quadropedal werewolf, and is adapting to walk on her hind legs, since she thinks walking on all fours makes her look ridiculous

-her mother, Jodis, used to be a pirate that primarily operated in the Far Shiverpeaks and the Janthir Bay, taking after her father. She’d already been trained as a Shaman of Wolf like her own mother, which she used to empower her crew - she returned to Hoelbrak when her mother fell ill and took over her responsibilities as a Wolf Havroun. She’s taught the kids (Faryen, Aelfsi, Rafe, Revna) about everything and anything, from sailing to stalking prey on land, how to use a bow and arrow as well and make them, how to make improvised weapons from the land and survive in the harsh climate of the Shivepeaks and so on

-her father, Einar, is a fisherman and a hunter, comes and goes from Hoelbrak, venturing out as far as the Bitterfrost Frontier, often accompanied by his own mother who’s a seasoned hunter. Though he’s bought into the ideology of Wolf after meeting Jodis, he’s mainly a follower of Bear. He’s likewise taught the kids a lot, like fishing and hunting, but with his profession and taking care of his mother who’s stubbornly continuing to live out in Frostgorge, he’s absent a lot

-Faryen and Aelfsi were born on 1308AE only minutes apart, despite their differences in personality they were inseparable growing up, until Fary left Hoelbrak with Eir in 1325AE, something Aelf is still salty about because she stayed behind to become Wolfborn alongside Rafe

Aelfsi is a ranger, she has a pet wolf and raven, named Hallie and Arne respectively, Hallie she adopted and raised as a cub from one of the many Wolf shrines they’d visit with their mother, and y she found injured in Borealis Forest once, which she mended back to health and have been inseparable since

-Rafe was found at the age of 10 (in 1313 AE) by their father, wandering around the Shiverpeaks by himself after his home was ransacked and his parents killed by the Svanir. With no other known family he was taken in and he readily picked up the role of the older brother to the girls. At some point he fell in with Skarti and Sigfast, joining the Wolfborn and would later vouch for his Aelf and Revna to join as well.

Before Fary left around 1325AE after gaining the title of Slayer of Issomir, he argued with her about staying in Hoelbrak and to not split up the pack, gifting her an arctic fox kit and alpine wolf cub in an attempt to convince her, but she flipped the argument on him and how they should join her instead, rather than sit around waiting for some prophesized hero to crack the Tooth of Jormag. Neither Rafe nor Aelfsi joined her though

- Revna was born in 1315AE, she was a timid girl growing up, preferring to stick close to their mother and observing the various rituals she’d perform as a Havroun. All three, Fary, Aelf and Rafe did pick up the mantle of the older siblings and would teach her anything they could, taking her out to hunting parties and moots etc. She’d join the Wolfborn too, fighting as a ranger though instead of utilizing any pets in combat she’d instead channel animal spirits

WoD5 thoughts: Why limits don't work

Preface; Liking WoD5 is not bad, finding it the best edition is fine. What I am talking about in this mini-essay is the more technical side of things. The reason the way WoD5 limits what you can play bothers me, is that I have seen why limiting options never works and in fact creates a lot of elitism within the community. To explain, in Revised edition it was very common for VTM sourcebooks to have a new bloodline or clan with cool new powers. Only for the book to say it was not meant to be played. They did this multiple times, if you have V20 just look at the bloodline section. While WtA didn't suffer from books inventing new fera left and right, the community itself started putting very harsh limits on what sort of character was acceptable. Thanks to lupus having 5 gnosis, the breed was deemed 'too hard to play' or 'only for power gamers.' Crinos-born baaarely squeaked through. It was clear most wanted everyone to just play homids of tribes that originated from Europe. Any other breed, tribe or Fera was seen as Snowflaky. (I cannot say anything about the rest of the games.) When the Revised edition ended in the setting ending, it took old-White Wolf/Onyx Path a bit to find their footing with the New World of Darkness/ Chronicles of Darkness. But once they did, the mentality towards unorthodox characters changed. Now, everything was given rules and ideas on how to play them. More importantly, since NWoD was not meant to be one cohesive setting but a toolbox for the ST to use, there was no longer a pressure to fit every supernatural into specific games. Once the 20th editions came around, they followed the same mentality found good from NWoD; The ST chooses what applies and what does not. You could now play all the bloodlines in VtM and for WtA lost tribes and fera were given full character creation rules (White Howlers even got their own tribebook!) No longer was it seen as snowflaky to play a non-homid or a fera. As long as the game functioned, it was fine. So, now with WoD5, it feels strange to see how limited your playable options are. Not to mention, there is a lot of morality tied to why you cannot play them. Second Inquisition is bad because The Man and fundamentalism, Sabbat is bad because they are in a cult, Cult of Fenris is bad because the writers want to make them neo-nazi, stargazers are bad because...reasons, as are tribeless werewolves.

Hunter gets it the worst, though, with hunter organizations being automaticly bad, even if they are based on a group of people trying to get rid of illegal sex tourism in their country. And what of the lupus? How many games allow you to play as wolfborn in W5? How many people wanting to get, once again, told to just play humanborns? After Steve plays DnD

Eddie waves to Jonathan as the kids pile into the car. Steve offered to drive them all, but it’s on Jonathan’s route home anyway, now that the Byers live up by the river, closer to everyone else.

Eddie goes back inside. Steve is cleaning up the game table, stacking the books and putting the dice into their bag. He pauses on the D20, turning it in his hands, his face furrowed with concentration. The facets glitter in the light.

“Beautiful, right?” Eddie asks. Steve looks up, surprised.

“Yeah, it’s cool.”

“You okay?”

“Yeah.” Steve puts the D20 into its velvet bag. He bites his lip. “Was I… Did I do okay?”

Eddie steps in, grabbing Steve’s hands.

“Of course! What do you mean?”

“I mean, it was my first time. I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right.”

Eddie grins.

“It’s Dungeons and Dragons, baby, not your gay virginity.”

Steve snorts and raises his eyes to the ceiling.

“I know.” He puts his arms around Eddie’s shoulders. “This was much more intimidating.”

Eddie laughs into Steve’s shoulder, kisses his cheek.

“You were fantastic.”

“Really?”

“Better than my wildest dreams.” He pulls back to look Steve in the eye. “You were really nervous?”

“Yeah. I know it means a lot to you. I didn’t want to disappoint.”

“You could never.” They’re swaying from side-to-side now, in the sort of slow dance that they do. “How did you know all that stuff about dwarves not liking cows milk? Or elves eating fish?”

“I read it in one of your books.”

“Which one?” Eddie had given Steve the basic introductory books, but none of the really deep lore.

“I don’t remember. Not one of the ones you gave me. It was on your shelf.”

Eddie pulls back.

“You read the ones on my shelf?”

“Yeah. Sorry. Was I not supposed to? Is that cheating?”

“No, not at all! It’s just… I wasn't expecting that.”

“I wanted to do it right.”

Eddie shakes his head slowly.

“Fuck.”

“What?” Steve’s eyes are wide and anxious. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I just really fuckin love you.”

Steve tenses in Eddie’s arms.

“Wait. Really?”

“Yes, really.”

“Oh thank God.” Steve sags against Eddie in relief. He rests his chin on Eddie’s shoulder and blinks away tears. “I wasn’t sure— nobody’s ever—“ he sniffs. “Mm. Love you.”

They stand there, letting that settle around them.

“Gnomes don’t like wheat,” Steve murmurs. “It irritates their digestion.”

“You’re literally my perfect human.”

“Mm. Not a human. I’m a Wolfborn.” Steve kisses Eddie’s jaw. “Child of a cursed lineage. Defender of my tribe.” He bites Eddie's shoulder, making him laugh and press closer. “And it’s a full moon.”

“Wolfborns aren’t werewolves,” Eddie gasps.

“I know. I never said I was. But I still like to howl at the moon.”

Eddie giggles and pulls Steve in for a kiss.

“Howl away, baby, it’s just the two of us.”
