listen. i'm always happy whenever someone leaves a comment because they enjoy my writing. whether it's a quick "love it!" or a longer dissection of whatever they've read, it warms my heart that they took the time out of their day, however brief, to let me know that they liked my work. i don't consider myself entitled to receive comments for posting my work, which makes every single one i get a gift!

but comments like these (particularly ones that come from profiles that haven't posted fic and are aggregates of bookmarks*) really do leave a bad taste in my mouth:

so, let me spell some things out for anyone who may be unaware:

I don't write for you.

I write for myself.

I am writing fic for free in the little spare time i have.

You are not entitled to my (or anyone else's) work

i haven't posted fic to ao3 since literally january of this year. i also wish i were posting fic more frequently, trust me. the only thing worse than writing is not writing. but asking "where's the rest????" and "part 2????" only activates my spite response to not post. you'll get updates to fics when you get updates. writing fanfiction is a hobby for me. i do it for fun. but i also take my craft (writing) very seriously. i want to write a good, compelling story and i take great care in the writing process. it's laborious to begin with, and on top of that, i am a meticulous planner. it takes me much longer to write a fic than it does for you to read it -- yes, even for the short ones and smutfics!

it's the famous "pick two: high quality, cheap, and fast", and unfortunately for all of us, if you want my "not bad"-writing and have it also remain free, then you're gonna have to be patient.

*i'm not saying that this is an incorrect way to use ao3. if you're using ao3 as a place to keep track of the fics you like, that's a valid way to use the site, and not what i'm mad about. it's the entitlement.

Ok, so I really don't mean for this blog to turn into something political but this is something I couldn't just ignore anymore.

I just wanted to clarify to everyone that may come across my blog, that I'm completely against EVERY SINGLE THING that comes from WOKE people. Such as:

Neo pronouns

"Trans women can have periods"

"Women have a penis"

Minors should have access to puberty blockers

Trans women don't have a physical advantage and should be able to compete in female sports

"He/Him" lesbians

"Lesbians are non-men loving non-men"

"You're transphobic if you don't want to date a trans person"

There are more than two genders

Drag Queens perfoming in front of children at their school

"My little girl/boy is trans"

Children should be able to transition

"You can still be trans and not having to transition"

Teaching children about LGBT content

Having the LGBT flag hagging on the wall inside the classroom

Having books with explicit sexual content in school libraries

The idea that children can consent and make decisions for themselves

And more.

I'm so done with this fucked up ideologies of "you can identify however you want" and "everyone is welcome and should be included"

NO, THEY CANNOT.

NO, THEY SHOULD NOT.

That way of thinking is dangerous and harmful and the fact that even PEDOPHILES created the acronym MAP ( Minor Attracted Person) and are claiming for a space in the community - that is looking more like a cult nowadays - should be enough proof of that.

These messed up and twisted narratives, are destroying everything all of those previous generations of LGBTs fought for. And people had enough.

Putting this over here to isolate this point: the OTW Volunteers did a lot of work to get AO3 back up and running after the DDoS. The OTW Board didn't do shit.

Your donations to AO3 go into OTW's financial reserve, and an estimate of how much they have is around $2.5 million (thread that breaks this down). They can maintain the platform for five years with what they have stored, and that number may be a low estimate.

OTW doesn't need your money. OTW's volunteers deserve financial compensation for all they've been subjected to, but none will see a penny from your donations.

Support the volunteers all you like, but know that your donations do nothing for them nor improve their working conditions.

I think things like this end up exposing the straight lines this view takes. Because that's not the point of the ideology - the point is using these children to breed more (white) children, and thus "out-breed" the Other. Why give a shit about listening to your kids interests - here he is, publicly disparaging one of his sons on a podcast, because he interrupted him on a phone call. I wouldn't say that telling your kid to "shut the hell up" when he's trying to talk to you about something he enjoys is like, good parenting or whatever.

But besides that, being a Birthrate Guy dedicated to pumping out as many White Babies as possible just is a straight line from what's currently in vogue with conservatives and white nationalists in the Anglosphere - full, unending control of your kids. Look at the growing homeschool movement talking about "not co-parenting your kids with the State". Look at the demands that schools communicate every choice a child makes to their parents. Look at the push to ban transgender existence in schools! Look at the push to remove transgender and "woke" teachers from classrooms! They don't want kids! They don't want human beings! They want tools! And luckily for them, the entire concept of the Family has been centered on giving them tools instead of children - of course they're not people, they're a constructed class without any rights whatsoever, and what little time they get away from their parents is now under an insane culture war siege.
