@gleefully-macabre another drabble about Bog’s coworkers speculating on his romantic status.
The sky that day was clear, the sunlight unfiltered. It poured down on the construction site and the builders hustling back and forth with timber and concrete. It did not even spare the site supervisor who generally carried with him an atmosphere of dark clouds gathering in an oppressive blanket before a thunderstorm.
He glittered in the sunlight. He sparkled. He gleamed.
He looked ready to rip someone’s spine out.
The workers gathered for lunch, talking in hushed tones about their boss’s sparkling state. None of them felt it was safe to talk about it at anything like a regular speaking volume.
“Does anybody . . . have any idea . . . why he’s covered with glitter?”
“Nope.” Steph crunched a taco, deadpan as ever, lettuce falling all over her lap.
“N-nope.” Thane said, fidgety as usual.
“Girlfriend connection?” someone suggested.
“What, is his supposed girlfriend actually a bathbomb?”
There was a mediative silence. Thane fidgeted. Steph ate her second taco.
“Boggy!”
All of them jumped and swiveled around when a very carrying voice exclaimed from the direction of the parking area. A slim blonde woman in a blue and white sun dress stood on the edge of the site, hands cupped around her mouth as she shouted.
“Boggy Woggy!”
“BOG.”
Everyone swiveled in the other direction, automatically put on alert by the sound of their boss’s bellowing. He was trekking across the site, swift and sparkling.
“Boggy!”
“Would you knock it off!”
“Not until justice has been served! How dare you ditch me like that!”
The workers murmured amongst themselves. Girlfriend? Dumped girlfriend? Cheated on girlfriend?
“Look! We’re not required to consult you about these things!”
“This involves my sister!” the woman shrieked.
Steph helped herself to a bag of chips out of one of her coworker’s limp hands. They didn’t notice.
“This is where I work!” Bog bellowed back, hiking up the incline up to the parking area.
“Good! The world should know about your wrongdoings, Boggy!”
At that point their boss reached the woman and their conversational volume went down a few notches. It became impossible to hear what was going on. All eyes remained riveted on the two combatants. The woman looked tiny next to their boss but she was jabbing her finger in his chest and talking aggressively up at him. He hunched and shuffled his feet.
A blinding flash of light dazzled the onlookers. When they could see again they saw the woman had dumped a container of pink glitter all over their boss.
“Wasn’t this morning enough?” they could hear their boss plead.
“Not even half enough!” She was reaching in her bag and pulled out another. The contents of this one were thrown in his face too. He stumbled, put his foot wrong, and began to slide back down the incline.
“I was saving this for the wedding! I have enough for a week of this!” the woman shouted, throwing the empty container after the boss. She stormed off.
The workers rushed to help their boss before he fell all the way down the incline.
“What was that?” shock allowed them to ask questions they normally wouldn’t have dared to, “your ex?”
“Sister-in-law.” the boss replied, coughing on glitter.
They had all been pulling him up but involuntarily let go again. He dropped back down in the dirt. “What?!”
“Sorry.” Thane said quietly.
“He and his girlfriend eloped this weekend,” Steph finished her stolen chips and grabbed the boss’s hand, heaving him back up, “the sister wanted a big wedding.”
“He--girlfriend--how do you know?”
“I’m friends with his mom on facebook.”
“You--he--he’s married?”
“I’m suffering,” the boss growled, shoving them all aside and walking back to the trailer office.
“He’s ecstatic,” Steph said.
Their boss did not dignify that with a response. He shimmered off in grim silence.
Everyone pounced on Steph. “Details! Details now!”
Unimpressed, Steph said, “I accept payment in the form of snacks or gas money.”
“Sorry.” Thane said with a helpless shrug.

I decided to compile a list of all the Strange Magic fics I want to write in one place...
Afterwards
Post-movie two-shot. After their confession, Bog and Marianne have to decide where to go from here. Featuring Bog and Marianne navigating a very awkward, cute, shy first date, discussing Marianne’s dreams of uniting the kingdoms, and wanting very badly to hold hands but not being sure how to go about it.
Alone
Short one-shot. On one side of the border, a goblin king’s loneliness and hidden hunger to be loved eat away at his heart. On the other side of the border, a fairy princess sobs herself to sleep on what would have been her wedding night. A feel-good little character study type of thing comparing Bog and Marianne before they meet and after.
Beauty and the Beast
One-shot. Bog is in bed with a fever, so Marianne decides to share one of her favorite stories from her childhood with him. ButterflyBog fluff with a fairy version of the Beauty and the Beast tale, and Marianne and Bog bantering about how their own story fits.
Blue Eyes and Purple Wings
Multi-chapter AU. A fairy child and a goblin boy happen to meet on the border of two kingdoms and an unexpected friendship blossoms between light and dark. I know it’s been done before, but it’s too cute an idea not to try my hand at a version of it.
Boggy Woggy
Short one-shot. Marianne knew that the Bog King utterly despises Roland. What she never expected was to one day walk in on her current fiance attempting to strangle her ex. Inspired by a conversation with a friend who wanted to know how Bog would react to someone other than Dawn calling him “Boggy.”
Concerning Children
One-shot. With their wedding in the near future, Bog and Marianne have a serious discussion about what will happen to their kingdoms once they are married and the conversation turns to children. Marianne thinks they are discussing possibilities in case a goblin and a fairy are not able to have a child together. Bog thinks they are discussing the topic for a very different reason. Bog being his usual insecure self that can’t imagine Marianne desiring him, and Marianne reassuring him that that’s definitely not the case.
The Dark Side of the Moon
Multi-chapter fic. Not in the same continuity as most of my post-movie fics. Two kingdoms united, a fairy queen wedded to a goblin king, and dreams come true. But Roland has not yet given up on the throne and puts a new plan in action that could ruin everything. Dark and angsty, involving Roland attempting to have Bog assassinated, stealing the throne, and coercing Marianne into being his queen, Marianne striking a terrible deal with Roland to allow her unborn child and the rightful heir to live, and Sunny and Dawn leading an uprising against Roland.
Dates and Questions
One-shot. About a month into their relationship, Marianne and Bog are out for a date and find the courage to start asking each other some of the questions they’ve been wondering about, to learn a bit more about each other and put some of the myths surrounding their respective cultures to rest. Total fluff and humor with some exploration of fairy and goblin cultures.
Different Is What I Like
One-shot. When Bog finds his eldest daughter in tears, he finds himself giving her the same comfort that he had once given the woman who would become his wife. Bog as a father and teenage Princess Rosalind struggling with her biracial identity.
Double Date
One-shot. About a month after the events of the movie, Dawn and Sunny are planning an outing together, but when Dawn invites Marianne and Bog for a double date, things get a little awkward for a certain elf who is still a bit wary of his future brother-in-law. ButterflyBog, Potionless, and Bog & Sunny bonding.
An Eye For Beauty
Character study type of one-shot. Bog has a knack for seeing beauty in the most diverse and unexpected places, Marianne notices. There seems to be only one place where Bog can only find ugliness.
Fairy Princess, Goblin King
Human AU one-shot? That could possibly turn into more? Bogdan Kingsley is well aware that he has no life. The only thing he really enjoys are his weekly LARP group where he can immerse himself in his fantasy alter-ego of the dreaded goblin king. But when a newcomer joins the group, Bog finds his life turned upside-down.
Fairy Wings and Ferris Wheels
One-shot (or possibly two or three-shot with fairly short chapters) Human AU. Marianne, Dawn, Bog, and Sunny participate in a scavenger hunt challenge at their favorite theme park. Bog and Marianne being aggressively competitive dorks, Dawn and Sunny being cute together and pretending like they don’t know those two animals who are taking bumper car competition waaaay too seriously, and sisterly bonding.
Handsome
Three or Four Shot. Bog is happier than he’s ever been with his beautiful, fiery fairy girlfriend. But a chance reminder of his own hideousness sends him spiraling into worry and doubt over whether he is good enough for Marianne. So he goes to Sugar Plum Fairy for a different sort of potion, but Bog’s plans don’t go quite as he expected. Angst with lots of hurt/comfort fluff.
I Could Have Lost You
One-shot. During a tender moment, Bog becomes deeply distraught. As Marianne seeks to comfort her husband, she learns that he is still haunted by a moment from their past. My take on Bog’s guilt over coming so close to killing Marianne on the night they met.
I Think I Love You
One-shot. Marianne still caught her cheating fiance, but feeling emboldened by her freed self that has emerged, she decides to go to the Dark Forest to prove her dream of peace is possible. She finds the last thing she expected: a friend who understands heartbreak just as well as she does. But then, when everything is perfect, she has to go and mess it all up. I know it’s been done before multiple times, but I want to try my hand at it. Friends to lovers (when everyone but the two of them are well aware of what is transpiring and bets are being placed on who ends up kissing the other one first).
I Wish I Had Boys
Two-shot. In which the Fairy King gets his wish, and makes the effort to get to know his future sons-in-law a little better. Dagda & Sunny and Dadga & Bog bonding time.
Kidnapped!
One-shot. When Bog went to sleep that night, the last thing he expected was to be kidnapped. In which Marianne gives Bog a taste of his own kidnapping medicine and takes advantage of having a sexy goblin king in her power.
A King’s Wrath
One-shot. Marianne makes the mistake of confronting Bog in front of his servants when he’s chewing them out. Bog responds with seeming aggression and anger, damaging Marianne’s trust in him, but afterwards he comes to her privately to apologize and explain to her that goblins rule in a very different way than fairies.
A Lesson in Love
One-shot. Marianne couldn’t love her goblin boyfriend more, except for one thing. Every time he disparages himself or suggests that he is not enough, it is like a dagger in her heart. And so she decides to break her insecure boyfriend of the habit once and for all by giving him a taste of his own medicine.
Lovestruck
Multi-chapter AU. My take on the “what if it was Bog who got a face-full of love potion” scenario, because it’s just too delicious not to explore.
Meat
One-shot. Early in their relationship, Marianne stays for a meal in the Dark Forest with Bog and is confronted by a reality that she knows she should have realized beforehand but still can’t help but be deeply disturbed by, and she realizes she’s going to have to make a decision about whether she can truly accept Bog for who he is and everything that entails. Based on my headcanon that fairies do not eat meat.
Monster
One-shot. Bog overhears a group of fairies gossiping about their princess and her monstrous paramour. When Bog doesn’t show up for their date, Marianne goes looking for her lover.
Nothing Goes As Planned
One-shot. Both Bog and Marianne long to be parents, but they are beginning to think it might not be possible for them. Bittersweet Bog/Marianne bonding and comfort and discussions about alternatives to having biological children.
Oh You Scaly-Backed Cockroach
One-shot. Bog overhears (OK eavesdrops on) Marianne talking to Dawn about him. What he learns about how Marianne sees him is startling to him, but he decides to put this new piece of knowledge to the test, even if it takes him decidedly outside of his comfort zone.
One Fateful Day
Two or Three Shot most likely. Fifteen years ago, Bog almost ruined the life of the girl he loved and he’s lived with the guilt of his deed ever since. Now, he decides he finally needs to do what he should have done all those years ago and finally put the ghosts of That Fateful Day to rest. Bog-centric, but also deals with Marianne’s trust issues. I haven’t run across many fics that really deal with Bog’s guilt and shame for attempting to use the potion or him trying to make amends for what he did, so this is my attempt to explore that.
Only Fools Rush In
Multi-chapter fic. An alternate ending to Strange Magic where the “Tell Him/Her” confessions never took place and Marianne is not quite so sure she’s ready to give her heart to another man, even one like Bog. Basically, my attempt to explore what I felt would have been a more satisfying ending, where Marianne and Bog are not rushed into confessing their feelings and both of them have more time to wrestle with their hang-ups surrounding romance and finally come together on their own terms when they feel ready.
The Prisoner
Multi-chapter AU. When she marries the love of her life and the handsomest fairy in the kingdom, Marianne expects Happily Ever After. When King Roland declares war on the Dark Forest and takes the goblin ruler as a prisoner, Marianne gets something else entirely. On the dark and angsty side.
See You At the Dark Forest
Multi-chapter Human AU. Marianne and Dawn decide to check out the Dark Forest Café, and Dawn becomes quite smitten with the tall, dour owner. Marianne, on the other hand, is decidedly less smitten.
Stormy Evening
One-shot. An unexpected storm keeps Marianne a prisoner in the Dark Castle. She and Bog find plenty of ways to pass the time however. Fluff, make-out sessions, and Marianne and Bog having a conversation about Bog’s Obliviousness to the fact that he totally a goblin stud.
Unclad
Short one-shot. Bog finds himself worrying over whether his state of…undress is embarrassing to Marianne.
Unmarked
Multi-chapter Soulmate mark AU. Marianne has always had a strange dream about a place where light and dark meet, where blue eyes meet hers from the darkness, and a clawed hand with a mark that matches hers reaches out to seize her wrist. But the dream is pushed aside when she meets a dashing blond fairy with a matching mark and knows she’s met her soulmate. But nothing is quite what it seems, on either side of the border. Unabashed cliché, I know, but I don’t think I’ve run across a Strange Magic soulmate mark AU, so why not? In which Roland is his usual terrible, lying self and Marianne meets a goblin king who is mysteriously Unmarked.
Wedding Bells
One-shot (or possibly two-shot). ButterflyBog wedding! As Bog prepares for his wedding with old goblin customs, he shares a tender moment with the person who never gave up on seeing her boy happy beyond his wildest dreams. Bog & Griselda bonding, goblin wedding traditions, and the royal wedding of the century.
Where the Asters Bloom
One-shot. One day, Marianne notices that Bog seems particularly distracted. As it turns out, today is a day with special meaning for Bog and he decides to introduce Marianne to someone very dear to him. Bittersweet fluff with some exploration into Bog’s childhood and fairy and goblin customs surrounding death.

Chapter 10: The Spring Ball Dance
“I look ridiculous.”
“You look gorgeous!”
“I certainly am not.”
“Don’t be such a baby, Marianne,” Dawn said to her in the car as they went to the Spring Ball. The other girl snorted, crossing her arms on her chest. “And I adapted it for you! It isn’t even a dress anymore!”
“I know, but -” she blushed, stopping herself mid-phrase.
“Bog would like it,” Dawn smirked, guessing her sister’s thoughts. She was easier to read now that she let her be herself in front of others.
“I wasn’t thinking about him!” Marianne’s blush darkened, and looked out of the car window, watching the houses go by.
“I certainly hope not,” their father butted in from the driver’s seat, his eyes never leaving the road. Marianne tensed for a moment before relaxing again. Her father was an ally now, she had to remind herself. But years of fighting were difficult to forget. “Please at least wait until your birthday.”
“Yeah, yeah,” she said robotically, as she usually did when her father tried to remind her the obvious.
Dawn snickered from her seat by her side.
Since what happened a few weeks ago, after the breaking point where she confessed what Roland did to her in front of the entire school, her father did a complete one-eighty with his behaviour. He asked her all the time how she was and what she thought about anything and if he was doing good with this new development. He tried to spend time together and asked her opinion for every decision he made. It wasn’t like she was going to actually tell him what to do but… he was listening.
About Bog, well… They got the security tapes and one camera in front of the Library showed enough proof to let the librarian go. Marianne was happy that at least Bog’s name and job weren’t at risk anymore, and considered not telling her dad about the very real relationship between them; but in the end she chose to tell him. She sat one day with her dad and explained - not without difficulty - that they liked each other and that yes, they were aware of the age difference, and yes she was a minor thank you for pointing out the obvious, dad. She let her father fret and be angry about it for a few days, declining with a smile when he offered her going to a therapist once again.
In the end, Dagda got the same conclusion as Dawn - not that his little “chat” with the blonde behind the elder sister’s back had anything to do with it, of course -. Marianne was practically an adult and Dagda had been ten years older than Violet when they met, too. It wasn’t like he had to enjoy it, but…
Marianne was happy. Genuinely happy. It was what mattered, he said.
“If it helps,” their father added as he parked on the school’s grounds. “I think you girls look adorable.”
Dawn smiled showing all of her impressively white teeth and got out of the car, ignoring the stares and awes and ohs she received for her costume. She was used to being the center of attention, and while she didn’t let it get to her head, she kind of enjoyed it. She got to smile to a lot of people and talk to them, she usually said.
A little grumpier, her older sister exited the car, her back slumped at the idea of having to go to that stupid dance. It brought so many memories, good and bad, and she wasn’t very eager to spend her friday night surrounded by teenagers dancing to the latest pop song. At least the DJ was Sunny, so she could sneak a nice song or two.
“Have fun, you two! I’ll be back at ten,” Dagda smiled from the other side of the car window and left the sisters there.
“Lucky bastard,” Marianne gritted her teeth. It was ironic that the school’s Director didn’t have to be on the dance.
“C’mon, Marianne! Let’s have fun!” the blonde grabbed her gloved hand and tried to move her, without success. “Don’t make me call Boggy Woggy to drag you inside.”
“Do you really have to sneak him into every conversation?” she glared at her sister, letting her feet move even if it wasn’t with as much grace as her sister.
“Yes!” Dawn huffed like it was common knowledge. “It’s the only way to make you pay attention!”
Marianne sighed. Her heart fluttered every time she thought about him and she didn’t like it. It was… too much. She wanted to just be with him and love him, all this teenage drama was unnecessary. She couldn’t wait for it to stop and settle into something more relaxed, more her style.
“And it’s my job as little sister to mess with you,” the other girl added, turning to smile at her one more time before they entered the gym, where the dance was held.
***
So far so good, Marianne thought as she sipped her coke in peace, looking at her classmates dance to whatever Sunny put on now. She hadn’t got into a fight with anyone and no one dared to ask her to dance, so no one had received a punch in the eye. Yet.
She leaned on her dark corner, watching with awe how good the decorations were made this year. She didn’t like the theme so much, but art was art, and what the organizers had done to the place was indeed beautiful.
Fairy Land was the theme, and the gym had been completely remade into a forest-like environment, with trees and roots and enormous flowers that made her feel really small. The lights were placed so a constant moonlight shone over their heads, giving it this magical air to everything inside.
If there had been anything else but a school dance that night, she was sure she would have enjoyed it better. It even made her feel good in her costume and a lot less ridiculous than she did that afternoon when Dawn dragged her into a last minute costume test. Of course it had fit perfectly, Dawn was never joking when dealing with sewing and clothing, but the reflection she got from the mirror wasn’t exactly her.
She had added her personal touch, of course, and -
“It’s amazing what these kids had done to the place, right?” a voice interrupted her, making her jump in her place. She knew that voice very well.
“You forget that “these kids” are rich,” she said without turning to see him. Marianne drank the rest of her coke and threw the cup into a nearby bin, getting it inside on the first try.
“Nice shot,” she heard the smile on his deep voice. “How many times have you tried that tonight?”
Marianne smiled too, finally turning to face him. “Way too many. That was the first time I got it right, though. My aim had gotten worse through the night.” She suspected that somehow they had spiked the punch, because once she noticed the bitter taste of alcohol she switched to coke.
“Then I’m sorry I couldn’t be here sooner to see you fail.”
“Idiot,” she snorted.
“Nice costume, by the way. It makes me want to have one as well,” he said, pointing to his boring normal clothes.
“Thanks,” she blushed a bit, but kept talking like her face wasn’t red at all. “Dawn made it for me.”
“She is good,” Bog caressed one of her fake wings, marvelling at the texture. From there, he went upways to her shoulder and then to her hair, putting a bit of her hair behind her pointy ear. He leaned so he could whisper only for her. “You look beautiful.”
“Idiot,” she repeated, looking anywhere else but him. If she was paying attention, she could have seen him blushing. Still without looking at him, Marianne snaked her gloved hand and grabbed one of his, feeling warm inside when his fingers interlaced with hers as naturally as breathing.
Absorbed in their little moment, the two not-that-secret lovers enjoyed each other’s company. Neither really listened to the music or the voices of the people around them; it was just them basking in the presence of a kindred spirit.
This was what Marianne enjoyed most about them. More than the hormones and intrusive thoughts about what they could be doing instead of standing there, she loved how at home she felt by just being with him. It was comfortable. He was comfortable.
“Do you want to go listen to some real music?” he asked after a few minutes that could have been hours.
“Sure,” she nodded and let herself be dragged away from the party by Bog. No one noticed them leaving.
The silence once they left the gym was deafening after being subjected to deep drums and bouncing bass, making them notice their breathing and the way their hands were still joined. Neither tried to get free.
Marianne looked at the reflecting surfaces of the windows, which gave back a pretty clean image of herself in full costume. It was silly, but Dawn had insisted that as it was her last dance at least she could leave the school with a bang. Her sister had promised that she would be a sight few could forget, and she had to confess that Dawn definitely delivered.
What once was a maroon dress now had been shortened to a glorified sleeveless t-shirt that had been modified. Dawn decided to use the leftover fabric to criss cross them into a pattern in the front, mimicking petals of a flower flowing around her midsection. To cover her legs, Dawn had painted a pair of dark red leggins Marianne had buried deep in her closet when she decided to forsake colors, making the illusion that thin vines were growing around her legs.
The most impressive thing of her sister’s creation were the velvet-like wings weighing in her back. Deep purple with the borders painted black, they were pretty good imitation of Monarch butterflies’ wings style, making her full outfit resemble some kind of warrior princess of the fairies.
The only thing Marianne was missing was a sword, but their father forbid them to sneak one on the dance. Shame.
Bog, for his part, couldn’t stop looking at her. Venturing a glance or two in her direction as he guided them through the dark hallways of the school towards their sanctuary - the Library - he couldn’t stop mavelling at the sight of her under the moonlight. Everything in her was colorful, alive, vibrant; her intense personality captured from the designs on her leggins to the purple shade of her eyeshadow. He wondered what kind of lottery he had won to earn this girl’s affection, his mind plagued with the same thoughts of regret he got every night alone in his bed, considering if this was all a very bad idea.
“Hey, Bog,” her voice cut through the quiet night as he opened the Library. “How old are you actually?”
He blinked, not expecting the question.
“Why? Are you going to be all grossed out once you know it?”
“I think we are pass all that already,” she huffed, remembering all the jokes and puns from her sister at home about being a ‘lolita’.
“Then I’ll let you know that I’m actually twenty-four years old. My mother complains that maybe I’m more like fifty years old.” Bog snorted, letting her pass before him and getting inside the Library. He closed the door, and the soft thud of it did little to appease Marianne’s rapid beating heart. They were alone now.
She chuckled, despite her nerves. “Why?”
“Well, I never was one to do as my classmates. No parties, no alcohol…,” he grabbed her chin and looked into her eyes with intensity. “No girlfriend.”
Marianne smiled softly, knowing how this had been a delicate issue for him for years. Once they got green light to be together, or as much as Dagda allowed her while she still ‘lived under his roof’, they had talked a lot about themselves, their thoughts about everything, about Marianne’s mother and how she was the one that educated her in music, about how her death forced the girl to step up to fill a void she shouldn’t have to fill. Bog was slow at first, but shared with her about his mother and his father, about how his death affected him in a time where everything was dark, about his constant battle with his image issues and his mental health.
Each time the crying stopped and they went for ice cream or a movie later, they felt more in tune than before.
The girl put a hand on his cheek. “She can’t complain now. Or sign you up on those dating sites,” she added, her smile turning teasing.
“Thank God,” he shuddered, but smiled too and leaned down slowly, like he was giving Marianne the chance to pull back if she felt uncomfortable. He always did it and it was a cute detail in her opinion. “My girlfriend would kill me if I cheated on her.”
The girl scoffed. “Sure as hell she would.” Then she grabbed his shirt to pull him down for a quick kiss on the lips. “Careful with the lipstick, though.”
“As if you cared about that,” Bog scoffed, putting his arms around her to lift her in the air, their faces close and their lips closer.
“Maybe so,” she chuckled. Her legs were put into action and she trapped him to her body, wanting to feel the warmth of her boyfriend through her fine clothes.
With a slight push, she managed to get his lips on her person once again, this time with intentions that went further than something quick. He knew that and, with a throaty chuckle, obliged gladly to the whims of the feisty fairy in his arms. He kissed her back with as much intensity, closing his eyes and surrendering to the feeling of her soft lips, her tongue, her teeth barely scraping his lower lip.
He loved kissing like this. It made him forget about the rest of the world for a moment that could last forever. It made him feel loved, awakening feelings in him that he had forgotten that existed. He felt passionate about her, about the way her body was pressed against his and her hands had trapped his head into her direction, about how she moaned softly in their kiss. He had made her produce that sweet sound, the thought sending shivers down his spine.
Marianne was everything. She was the air he breathed, the warmth he didn’t know he needed, the peace he craved. He wanted to kiss her and touch her, do so much with her and explore more of these untouched feelings she provoked on him.
“Careful,” she warned when she felt him shift her in his arms to grab her by her legs. She was totally aware that he was groping her butt, not that she complained; the bold move only turned her on.
“Hm,” he grunted, guiding them to the nearest table and softly putting her down without breaking the contact of their lips.
Marianne’s hands let go of his head and traveled to his back, feeling every tense muscle and every bone, marveling at the thought that all of that was hers. Bog would give her everything she wanted of him, and she knew it. In the time they talked about themselves words of adoration were shared more than once, his eyes telling her how much he wanted their relationship to work, how careful he was with every step. She understood it and was kind of garetul for that. She still felt a bit raw from the buried memories of Roland’s misdeeds that came back to the surface with all the drama; so after talking with Bog about her worries they settled into a comfortable pace both enjoyed. It wasn’t like they had to behave in a different way around each other. Going slow was good.
But that didn’t mean the she wasn’t allowed to make out with her boyfriend.
He let go of her lips, deciding to give his attention to her jaw and her neck, smiling cheekily when she sighed in delight. He loved making her react to his attentions. He didn’t want this to stop, but when he felt her legs close tighter around him, the sensation of her warmest spot against his crotch waked him from the daze he was in.
Softly, Bog detangled from the girl and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes to find Marianne all flushed, her cheeks bright and her lips swollen from their activities, her hair out of its careful hairdo. He thought that it was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. He put a hand on her face, partly for stopping her from leaning in to kiss him and partly to touch her to make sure that it was real.
“You are so beautiful,” he whispered, caressing her red cheek with his thumb. “But I think we should stop.”
It was her time to take a deep breath. He was right, of course. She was on the verge of being carried away by her hormones and she didn’t want it to happen yet. Or at least not like this, in secret and rushed on her prom night. She felt silly, but she wanted it to be special and sane, in a moment where both were in their right minds. This was not it and every fiber of her being told her to stop.
“Yeah,” she smiled as she put her hand over his own, which was still on her cheek. “And you promised me good music, don’t think I’m forgetting about it.”
“Let me fetch my bag,” Bog nodded. Marianne’s legs let him go but he stayed in his place for a few more seconds.
“What?” she said when he didn’t move.
“Nothing,” his eyes were shining with awe. She looked elsewhere feeling a bit overwhelmed. Bog chuckled and patted her head. “It’s just that…”
He took a step back, biting his lip and considering if it was a good idea or not. One glance at Marianne’s confused face helped him make up his mind.
“I love you~” he sang with a really bad falsetto voice. “And nobody else~”
Of course Marianne recognized that song. Dawn had been singing it for a few days nonstop since Sunny confessed to her about his pretty obvious crush on the girl. The song had driven the elder sister mad to the point where she complained about how horrible and ugh it was. She really loved her sister, and Sunny, and wanted them to be happy but -
“I’m going to kill you!” she grabbed the first thing she saw available and threw it to the man, who was running to where he left his stuff when they arrived, laughing like crazy as the glove Marianne had thrown missed his face by inches.

could i have a beatles and queen ship? :) i'm 5'3" with longish light brown hair. i have hazel blue green eyes with hints of brown. i've been playing piano for almost 13 years along with a few other instruments that i've picked up. (i'm too lazy to list them all) piano is definitely my favorite to play. i'm definitely the mom of the friend group. most people think i'm quite a shy person, but i'm talkative once you get to know me. i love to cheer and love my doggos.(or any dog) thank you so much!
Of course! You sound really cute!
(Also I tried to post it earlier and it flubbed. Gotta love Tumblr mobile....ick)
For the Bug Bois, I ship you with...
George Harrison!
George Harrison met you at a cheering thing bc all the boys wanted to flirt with the girls of course and he couldn’t keep himself from staring into your blue-green eyes and how it shone out of you.
So he asked you to walk through the park with him and if he could walk you home, and you blushingly said yes, shy, but knowing he wasn’t a threat and liking him already
So you both walk out in nature all the time. One time at the park, this older woman was walking the most adorable black chow dog. He was literally like a big, dark teddy bear. You immediately ran over squealing and so did Geroge. He played with its ears, calling it a “doggie woggie”
But it was when the dog rolled over on its back and let you rub its belly that Geroge knew that dogs had a natural trust of you. He jokingly called you a princess after that, but it was only half a joke after a time.
You both list off all the instruments you play to see who can play more, than “compete” to see who can play better, with plenty of funny but loving and good-natured banter.
Since you are shorter than him, he loves to spin you around, especially with your cheerleader grace.
One time you were both dragged to a boring public event for hte band and it got noisy and dull and you couldn’t leave yet. So you both sat somewhere quietly holding hands, with the occasional squeeze. You always keep each other safe.
For Queen, I ship you with...
Brian May
Brian met you while hearing you play the piano somewhere. At first, he could only make out your back, but your shining light brown hair caught his attention with how beautiful it was.
And once you turned up, the face matched.
So he just had some questions about piano playing, since his own was not that good and he asked you to tea.
He teaches you all about the planets and animals and you teach him about music and cheering.
He even loves to take the most beautiful steroscopic images of you playing music or cheering.
He is basically an insta bf, but always supportive and singing your praises all the time
You seem almost like everyone’s parents, since you are both the mom friends of your groups.
You were shy at first with Brian, feeling you both hitch your breath whenever his long fingers accidentally grazed past yours.
But now you two are so open and comfortable and being so much taller, he wraps you up in a blanket of a hug anytime you ask (or sometimes not asking at all!)

The Average and Unusual Couple: Chapter Thirteen
Stan and Lydia were now a couple ever since confessing their honest feelings for each other during the halloween party. Following from that night, they happily told their friends and family about the newly love relationship they’ve started developing. While most of their friends were happy for them, only Cartman and Beetlejuice didn’t care as much. Their parents meanwhile were also happy for them with the exception of Randy who only still cares more about Tegridy Farms. Whenever Stan and Lydia were at school, they had to keep their hands to themselves because the place forbids students on having physical contact with each other. It’s only when they’re hanging with each other outside of school is where they would hold hands more often whenever they feel like it. And on Christmas Eve, Stan and Lydia had their first ever date at a movie theater in the Netherworld where they watched a movie call Attack of the Zombie Elves in the North Pole. The more they spend time together, their love only grows stronger. They were so attached to each other that they felt like nothing can’t ever separate them. Being together has now become the most happiest feeling in their entire lives, and they’re both determine to keep it that way.
It was now just shortly after New Years, and Sharon has invited the Deetz family to her home to have dinner together between them and her family. She wants her husband and Shelly in getting to know the Deetzes a little bit more since they’re don’t know them too well about them in comparison to her and Stan. Lydia has so far only visited the Marshes house twice. Her first visit was during Stan’s birthday party, and the other was a weekend sleepover between her and Stan. Her parents on the other hand had never visited to the farm house before, and this will be their first ever visit there.
The Deetzes had just arrived in front of the Marshes house.
Charles: This place really almost looks like Clyde’s home minus the farm animals.
Lydia: The only animal that they have around here is their pet dog name Sparky. But other than that, this farm is a pure weed farm.
Charles: What?! They have a dog here?! Oh no, I’m gonna be having bad allergies for much of the night.
Delia: Now, Charles. I once already told you that people only allergic to cats, not dogs. Don’t you remember?
Charles: You’ll be surprise to learn on how many people are allergic to dogs too. My own parents and brother are also allergic to dogs, and we never had one because of it.
Lydia: Can we just head inside already, please? Stan’s family are waiting for us to come in.
Charles: Just promise me that you ask them to keep their dog away from me, ok, pumpkin?
Lydia: Sure thing, father.
The Deetzes make their way to the front door, and then after giving the door a couple knocks, opening it was Stan.
Stan: Hello!
Lydia: Hi, Stan. How’s everything here so far today?
Stan: Same old, same old, as usual. And welcome to our house, Mr. & Mrs. Deetz. Come on in, and get comfortable.
Delia: Thank you, Stan.
As they come into the house, Delia and Charles take their seat at the couch while Lydia stands close to Stan.
Charles: Umm, is your dog around here?
Stan: He’s at the backyard, why?
Charles: Dogs gives me really bad allergies, and I can’t be near them because of…*makes a big sneeze*…it.
Stan: *laughs a bit* Looks like Sparky left a few extra hair before my mom send him out back. The tissue box is underneath at the little table next to you if you need any.
Charles: Good, because I surely can use some right now. *grabs a couple tissue papers and blows his nose*
Walking into the room from upstairs was Randy.
Randy: Huh, who the hell are you two? Are you here to buy my weed?
Stan: *sigh* No, dad. This is Lydia’s parents. They’re here on having dinner with us, remember?
Randy: Oh yeah, I’ve forgotten. Sorry about that, my mind is always on about my job that I often forget about other things. But anyway, I’m Stan’s father, Randy.
Delia: It’s finally nice to able to meet you, Randy. I’m Delia, and sitting next to me here is Charles.
Charles: Hello.
Delia: Your wife and son had told us many things about you, and on how much you love your we…*sniffs something*…I’m sorry, but something smells like marijuana in here.
Randy: That is the smell of the best goddamn weed in this entire planet, Tegridy weed! I just had some a little early today.
Charles: Phew, so this is how they really smell like, huh?
Randy: That’s right! Do you two want to try some?
Charles: Sorry, but I don’t smoke.
Delia: Thanks, but no thanks. I only like cigars.
Randy: If I were to make a Tegridy cigar, would you try it out?
Delia: Hmmm, we’ll see about that.
Stan: *whispers to Lydia* Let’s get the hell outta here before I puke from my dad’s stupid weed.
Lydia: *whispers back* Right behind you.
Stan: Umm, me and Lydia are gonna back out to check on Sparky if you’ll excuse us.
Randy: Go right on ahead then, son. See you two at dinner.
Stan and Lydia head towards to the kitchen area where the back door was. When they enter into the room, they see Sharon cooking dinner.
Sharon: Hello you two!
Lydia: Hello, Mrs. Marsh. *smells Sharon’s cooking* That smells really good. What are you cooking for tonight’s dinner?
Sharon: I’m doing salmon along with crab cakes, and green beans.
Lydia: Nice! I haven’t had any sea food since my last night back at Peaceful Pines. I can’t wait to have them.
Sharon: Where are your parents at?
Lydia: At the living room with Mr. Marsh.
Sharon: Oh boy. I hope he doesn’t give them any of his products.
Stan: We’ll be out back with Sparky until dinner is ready.
Sharon: Well, dinner should be ready in a little bit. Just remember to wash your hands once you two come back in.
Stan: We will, mom.
They both head outside to the backyard where Sparky was at. As they come out, Sparky was chilling at his doghouse. It was only when the dog sees Stan and Lydia approaching him, he begins to get excited.
Stan: Hey, boy! Guess who’s back?
Lydia: Hi, Sparky!
The dog barks, runs towards them, and then runs around them a few times.
Lydia: *laughs* It’s good to see you again.
Stan: Okay, buddy. Stay still in front of us.
Sparky stops running, and begins to stay still in front of them with all four legs standing while also wagging his tail.
Stan: Good, now sit.
The dog sits down while still wagging his tail.
Stan: Give me your paw. *shows his hand towards the dog*
Sparky puts one of his paws onto Stan’s hand.
Stan: Now give Lydia a paw too.
Lydia shows her hand towards the dog. After taking one of his paws out from Stan’s hand, Sparky puts his other paw onto Lydia’s hand.
Lydia smiling: Good boy!
Stan and Lydia then give Sparky some good gentle pets all around him.
Lydia: I swear, if my father wasn’t allergic to any dog, I would’ve beg for one right now.
Stan: I don’t think Percy wouldn’t tolerate to that idea.
Lydia: *sigh* I know, but I just can’t help but think about it once a while. At least Beetlejuice did severed well as a temporally pet dog while it lasted.
Stan: *laughs* I wish that I’ve could’ve been there to see it all. That must’ve been rough like hell for him during the entire time.
Lydia: Yeah, he hated being called a Little Doggy-Woggy that my mother once nick named him. But he did appreciate the good care that she gave him.
Sharon: *calling from the back door* Stan, Lydia, dinner is just about ready!
Stan: Okay, mom! *talks to his dog* Sorry, boy, you can’t join us for tonight’s dinner because Lydia’s dad is allergic to dogs like you. I promise I’ll give you something nice once dinner is over. Just stay here for the time being, okay?
Sparky understood on what his master had just said, and then heads back into his doghouse.
Lydia: Keep on being a good boy, Sparky. See you next time.
Stan: See you in a bit, buddy.
After washing their hands, Stan and Lydia joins in with the rest of their family to have dinner. They both sit next to each other along with Shelly sitting next to Stan. Delia and Sharon sat next to each other at the other side of the big table while Charles and Randy took their sits at the end sides. On each of everyone’s plate was a piece of salmon, two crab cakes, and a good amount of green beans. And while the kids have water and ice for their drinks, the adults each had a glass of wine.
Delia: Wow, Sharon! The salmon really taste like how I often cook them, and the crab cakes are fabulous too. How often do you cook sea food?
Sharon: Not too much. Especially since our local area often prefers cow meat than any other type of meat. I was originally gonna do steaks, but I figured since you guys are from the east coast, I wanted to give you guys my take on sea food cooking instead.
Charles: Well, you’ve done an excellent job with it I gotta say. Eating this makes me feel like being back at Peaceful Pines.
Sharon: Thank you. And what about you three? Is everything good with your meal?
Stan: It’s perfect, mom. I love it!
Shelly: Me too.
Lydia: Same. This is really delicious!
Sharon: I’m happy to hear that. How about you, Randy?
Randy: It’s really good, however, it just needs a little more of my Tegridy ingredient, then it should be perfect enough.
Sharon annoyed: *sigh* In times like this, I really wish that you can just go back to your cooking obsession instead.
Randy: Ain’t gonna happen anytime soon, sweetheart. I’m a Tegridy man for life!
Charles: What was your life like back then before you became a weed farmer, Randy?
Randy: That kind of stuff isn’t really important to me to talk about anymore.
Sharon: He used to be a geologist, and he even got a degree for it from Colorado State University.
Charles: Interesting. How come you decided to give all that up?
Randy: It wasn’t just my old job that I was getting tired of, but it was also living at South Park in general. It wasn’t as funny living there as it used to be, and so much crazy shit happens over there that I got frustrated with it. I needed to get away from it all, and when I found out about weed farming, that was the new lifestyle that I desperately needed. And that’s how we ended up here ever since.
Delia: Do you ever make any visits back to South Park?
Randy: Only whenever I do Tegridy business over there.
Delia: Uh-huh. At least that’s good to hear.
Randy: What about you two? What do you guys do for a living?
Charles: I’m a real estate developer, and Delia works as an art teacher at South Park middle school.
Randy: Neat jobs, but still, my job will always be the best.
Sharon: Randy, please!
Randy: What? I’m just stating the obvious.
Shelly: So, Stan, how did you and Lydia meet up in the first place?
Stan: It was during the first day of school at lunch time. I stood up against a couple people that were bullying Lydia. After they walked away, we got to know each other during the rest of lunch and recess time, and the two of us became best buddies ever since.
Lydia: If it wasn’t for Stan here, I don’t think that I would’ve loved living in South Park as much.
Shelly: And what things do you two share in common?
Stan: Well, we both love animals, being at the outdoors, helping out our friends, watching fun movies, and we both share the same love for anything dinosaur related.
Shelly: Really now? She loves dinosaurs just as much as you do?
Lydia: Yep! Just like with Stan, dinosaurs were the biggest thing in my childhood before I got into horror stuff. And he and I are planning to do a science project on what life was like in South Park during prehistoric times this coming spring.
Shelly: That’s cool. I wish you two luck on the project.
Stan: Thanks.
Randy: Yeah, about that, Stanley. That’s not gonna happen anytime soon.
Stan: Why not?
Randy: I was gonna tell you all about this until I’ve boughten the property, but what the hell. Next month, the Marsh family will be moving out of Colorado, and starting a new Tegridy life in California.
Stan, Shelly, Sharon, and Lydia all reacted in deep shock while Delia and Charles felt off guarded from hearing what Randy had just said.
Stan in shocked: WHAT?!
Randy: I’ve founded a huge property that’s not too far away from places like San Francisco and Oakland. Since California is one of the several states where cannabis is fully legal, and that area has about millions of people living there, it’ll be the perfect expansion for Tegridy Farms!
Stan very upset: No, no, no, no! I can’t handle this anymore! I JUST CAN’T!
He leaves the table, and heads up into his room in full frustration. Everyone else at the table were silent. Feeling seriously heartbroken to see her boyfriend in such exasperation, Lydia felt the need to check up on him.
Lydia: Will it be alright if I can go upstairs and help cheer up Stan?
Charles and Delia looked to each other for a moment, and both agreed to Lydia’s request.
Charles: Sure thing, pumpkin. We understand. How about you, Sharon?
Sharon was quiet for a few seconds before making her reply to Lydia.
Sharon: I believe that he could use your comfort words really badly. Go ahead.
Lydia: Thank you, Mrs. Marsh.
Delia: We’ll be waiting for you at our car when you’re done, sweetie.
Lydia leaves the table to head upstairs to check on Stan.
Shelly: Umm, I’m gonna check on the dog and then head into my room. Have a good rest of the night, Mr. and Mrs. Deetz. It was really nice to meet you both.
Charles: You too.
As Shelly leaves the table, it was now just the parents.
Delia: Well, thank you both for the wonderful dinner. Me and Charles will be just waiting in our car until our daughter is finished talking to your son.
Randy: And I gotta get on the phone with the owner of that huge property.
Sharon: Oh no, you and I need to have a private talk right now.
Randy: What? What did I do?!
Delia: We’ll leave you two alone. Have a good night.
She and Charles get up from their seats, and start heading out of the house.
Randy: And don’t forget about my good deals whenever you guys still want to try out my Tegridy weed.
Sharon: Randy! Into the farm house with me, now!
Randy: Okay, fine. Geez.
Meanwhile upstairs, Lydia does a couple knocks onto Stan’s door.
Lydia: Stan, it’s me. Can I come in?
Stan: Give me a sec.
Inside the room, he calms himself down, and wipes out the tears coming out of his eyes.
Stan: Okay, come in.
As Lydia comes in, she sees Stan sitting on his bed with his eyes slightly red.
Lydia: *sigh* That was so upsetting to watch. Never in my life have I ever sat in the same table with someone that rude. *sits next to Stan on the bed* I felt lost for words after he made that announcement, and powerless too.
Stan: How are you holding up so far?
Lydia: Not too well. I would ask you the same question too, but I know deep down that’s not the case, and felt that you needed some comfort instead. That’s why I came up to see you.
Stan: I’m so sorry for what happened down there. It’s just that…during these four years living on this farm, my dad has been a huge asshole on a lot of things, but what he just did down there, that has to be the worst thing he’s ever done. It’s already bad enough with the lifestyle that I have here, but now he’s gonna buy a different farm far away without even talking about it with us first, and he fucking announced it in front of you and your parents as if he was proud on saying it. Fuck him!
Lydia: Yeah, I’m really beginning to understand on why your father is such a mega douchebag. Not even some of my worst enemies were ever that terrible to me. Has he always been like that everyday in the past four years?
Stan: Pretty much, yeah. Ever since we moved here, he hasn’t been the same person from my childhood years. All he talks about is Tegridy Farms, and nothing else. Even whenever we tried to talk with him about fun past memories, he’ll quickly change the subject to his stupid weed. And he even tried to get us moving to other locations before, but always fail on actually doing it.
Lydia: Really? He tried to move you guys far away from South Park before?
Stan: Yep. Like the last time he tried to move us to a new location, he wanted to live near by Detroit. But before he could’ve started finding huge property there, the pandemic ruined those plans, and he had to cancel it.
Lydia: Why is your dad trying to get himself and the rest of you guys to move away from South Park?
Stan: Aside from what he said earlier about the town not being funny to him anymore and such, he also hates that South Park is allowing its citizens to grow their own weed in their backyards. Because of that, people in town are more often making their own weed than buying them from my dad, and that to him was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Lydia: So your dad now hates South Park for business reasons, huh?
Stan: That’s right.
Lydia: And knowing that you, your mother, and your sister still love South Park, have you guys ever tried talking with him about a solution that’ll make everyone happy?
Stan: We tried, but he just won’t budge. He keeps on saying that he wants Tegridy Farms to be a family business despite the fact we never wanted to be in that business in the first place. And since my mom still doesn’t have enough of her own money to file a divorce, we all feel like being stuck in a prison.
Lydia: There needs to be a way to separate you guys from him. I don’t want you and your family to move away from South Park so soon because without you guys, the town just wouldn’t feel like home to me. You all made living in South Park so special, and I want to continue on having so many fun times between my family and yours. And even though you and I can still see each other in person at the Netherworld, it just wouldn’t feel the same on living more closely to you in the real world. I seriously don’t want to live in that reality. *she tears up a bit*
Stan looks at his girlfriend with a somber expression, then puts his hand onto her hand.
Stan: We’ll figure out a way to prevent this from happening. I’m not gonna let myself live far away from South Park anytime soon. I want to finish school there, continue on having fun adventures there, seeing all of my friends as long as they want to live at South Park, and now, I have you. Living in my hometown has helped me in becoming the person that I am today, and I still need to live there in order to prepare my adult life. But I can’t do it alone. Do you want to join me in preparing our future lives together?
Lydia begins to lighten up a bit. She cheers herself up, and then looks into Stan’s face with a sweet smile.
Lydia smiling: Of course. I also need help in preparing my adult life too, and you and I will do it together not just as a couple, but as a team as well.
Stan smiles at Lydia, and then the two does a huge hug to each other for a long moment.
Lydia: Sorry to ruin the moment, but my parents are waiting for me at our car, and I need to be heading home.
Stan: Oh yes, of course. We’ll discuss more about our plans tomorrow, and we should bring in Beetlejuice too in case if he has any good ideas.
Lydia: Agreed. I don’t want him to feel left out anyway. Have a good night.
Stan smiling: You too, Lydia. I love you.
Lydia smiles: I love you too.
As Lydia leaves the room and head towards to her parents, Stan looks at the nightly sky from his window with a determination look on his face.
Stan: I’m not gonna let my dad change our livelihoods. It’s time that I take action to set everything right.
In the next chapter, Beetlejuice does demonic possession on Randy.
