ok but what’s bugging me about the we need to talk video is if the last three videos are supposed to be in some kinda sequence and have a connected narrative and wntt ends with the start of not warriors/crybaby but lucky people also ends with the start of not warriors then what order are these videos supposed to be in I’m so CONFUSED

the part of wntt where awsten jumps out the window reminds me of the line in tantrum “maybe if i kill myself you’ll know i’m sincere”

103 isn’t random I don’t think; it’s in the wntt video as their apartment number and I feel like I’m remembering awsten alluding to that being his actual apartment number when he got that first apartment with c in texas. and 67 is his lucky number allegedly, it’s at least been consistent since I think cluster interviews, or at the very least dd era.
right 103 wasnt random PER SAY, but it wasnt rly like. anything? it had a few repetitions like u mentioned in wntt and i think also got referenced in some gh-era mv (violet? i forget) but it doesnt specifically mean anything afaik (outside of maybe an obscure detail in his personal life?). like its just a repeated theme with no actual significance beyond… idk being an easter egg (lol like the waterparks song) for the sake of being an easter egg
i didnt know that about 67 tho!! i dont remember him mentioning it and i feel like ive read/watched all the interviews they did back then 0__0 but okay i trust u so even if i give him that one im still like REPETITION SHOULD HAVE MEANING ATTACHED *shaking him* BEYOND BEING A PASSWORD TO SELL CLOTHES *shaking him harder*

Okay Peach (lobotomy) is the next Waterparks video
Why cause look at the track listing, especially
Peach (lobotomy)
We Need To Talk
Not Warriors
WNTT ended with the first scene of Not Warriors which is the track directly after it, so my theory is that Peach is next (possibly showing Awsten’s realisation of the bad relationship) and then it will end with the first scene of WNTT as is is the song before and hence it completes a trilogy.
Also blonde is the track before them three and lucky people the track after so they could be possible before and after scenarios.

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE SYMBOLISM IN THE WE NEED TO TALK MUSIC VIDEO AND LINKS TO OTHER WATERPARKS MUSIC VIDEOS
(I purposely avoided twitter after I watched the video cause I kinda wanted to get my own interpretation of it without being influenced by other peoples opinions)
Okay, so at the end of the video it becomes obvious that the We Need To Talk video is set BEFORE the Not Warriors music video because at the end of WNTT it shows the same shot that’s at the start of Not Warriors with Awsten walking into the house.
At the start of WNTT Geoff and Otto seem kind of sad and sort of lifeless (?) like they knew what was happening with Awsten and his relationship and want to be there for him but don’t really know what to do (this one is kind of a reach)
Around 0.59 seconds in WNTT Awsten throws himself out of the window which kills him -  this could show the amount of anger and hurt he felt in that relationship and potentially just wanted to end it quickly?
Around 1.01 in WNNT the blue colours when the girl is in bed are similar to 0.42 in Not Warriors when Awsten is laying in the bed (a parallel? in WNTT shows how the girl is feeling about the death of Awsten (the death/end of the relationship? Shows how Awsten is feeling about the relationship in general in WNTT he looks conflicted/angry?)
The orange glow under the door at 1.14 in WNTT is the same as 0.50 in NW when Awsten opens the cupboard door. Awsten takes a chance by opening the door and it could be a representation about opening up in the relationship and taking a chance. The cupboard could also be a representation of all the feelings Awsten has held in during the relationship. When he opened the cupboard the flowers and stuff exploded which could show how when he opened up about his feelings in the relationship everything blew up. Whereas in WNTT at around 1.14 its the same (similar?) cupboard with the same orange glow but the girl ignores it and like turns her nose up at it which could show how she just ignored the things that were wrong in the relationship or didn’t see that anything was wrong at all.
1.25 in WNTT with the cupboard on the wall which has the bottles in which spell out “Fuck you” and how they’re surrounded by three leaf clovers, this is a complete opposite to the lyrics - “I really thought you were my FOUR LEAF CLOVER” and “fuck me” which is changed to “fuck you” in the video. This could show how Awsten’s feeling have changed since writing the song. The four leaf clover in the lyrics being something rare whereas three leaf clovers are common which could show how he felt like the girl wasn’t actually special once everything had happened.
This isn’t part of the WNTT video but it links in with the next thing I’m going to talk about. The symbolism of the yellow car in the Not Warriors video (towards the end when parx smash it up and set fire to it). The car could represent his previous girlfriend described in Lucky People as his “yellow lovely” and mentioned in Stupid For You as “you’re yellow I’m natural blue” which led me to think that the yellow car represented her.
SO the parallel between the two shots with the lighter. In WNTT the girl uses the lighter as a way of bringing Awsten back (around 1.48 in the video) but in NW Awsten uses the lighter to set fire to the yellow car (as I previously mentioned could represent his past girlfriend). The different use of the lighters could show their different views on the relationship - she doesn’t believe that it’s over and uses the lighter as a means of bringing it back to life whereas Awsten uses it to create a sense of finality by burning the car (completely destroying it). Additionally the fact that Geoff and Otto join in with smashing car could show that they’re also angry about the relationship like Awsten is and are helping him get out of it.
With the whole summoning Awsten after he’s died could be a representation of how she had some sort of control over him (could link to the lyric “my hourglass is in your hands” from Lucky People).
And then, moving on to the Not Warriors music video, as mentioned at the start it follows on from WNTT with Awsten walking into the house. As soon as Awsten walks in Geoff and Awsten pay him little to no attention which could be because he is “dead” due to what happened in WNTT.
The whole of the Not Warriors video could be symbolic of how he’s trying to “bring himself back to life” or get over the relationship. At 1.30 in NW Awsten is looking at himself in the mirror and pulling down his eyes and stuff could be him checking to see if he’s still dead (due to his eyes changing in WNTT)
Finally, towards the end of the music video when Awsten leaves the room (2.24) Geoff and Otto notice him which could show that he’s alive again. They then proceed to drive and set fire to the car which inevitably would destroy it, creating a sense of finality to the relationship.
Obviously this is just my own interpretation of what everything could symbolise and I’m in no way saying that these are facts, it’s only things that I’ve picked up on.
Anyways, hoped you enjoyed the read (if anyone even stayed that long) and let me know if I missed anything

Okay the Peach video was cute and summed up exactly what Waterparks is like but I still wish that it was apart of the WNTT/Not Warriors story.
