That it’s Sirius is, somehow, expected. Who else than one of his closest friends, handsome and always kind with him?

Remus contemplates this new knowledge for a full week before burying it deep deep deep at the bottom of his heart.

September rolls around, and nothing change; Sirius, as usual, drags him to Hogsmeade and pays for his drinks and books and teases him gently in a way that would be confused with flirting and massages his aching joints before the Full Moon — and Remus can almost pretend Sirius loves him back.

As Expected, A Repository of Great Songs… ONF, the Significance of Their First Instrumental Album [N Focus]

(Seoul News 1) Reporter Kim Minji = Boy group ONF is showcasing their musical confidence by releasing their first instrumental album.

ONF will release their first instrumental album "INFUSE" on August 2. The album name "INFUSE" combines "IN" between ONF and their fandom FUSE, signifying a gift-like album from ONF to their fans. "INFUSE" will feature instrumental versions of songs that have received positive responses from fans since ONF's debut in 2017.

The instrumental album "INFUSE" offers a fresh perspective for K-pop fans. While idols sometimes include instrumental versions of title tracks as an event, it's rare to fill an entire album with instrumental tracks.

Regarding the reason for planning such an album, ONF's agency WM Entertainment told News 1, "Fans had requested an instrumental album many times, and the members were well aware of this. They often shared live instrumentals with fans during their activities, so they thought an instrumental album would be a great gift." They continued, "In celebration of our 7th anniversary, we wanted to give fans a gift they desired and would enjoy. From song selection to photos and design elements, the members participated actively, ensuring the album would remain a joint creation of ONF and FUSE."

Monotree's head producer Hwang Hyun, who worked on the album, said, "We were confident in ONF's music. ONF's fans listen to music meticulously and are interested in the various elements that compose the songs. We thought this album would be a gift for such fans."

The album will be available in three formats: online, CD, and LP.

How were the songs selected? Producer Hwang said, "Initially, we made a list with the company without setting anything specific, incorporating ONF members' opinions. The company suggested songs that fans wanted, and I focused on music suitable for instrumental listening. As we are releasing an LP, I recommended songs that would match well." He added, "We selected songs that sound like instrumental music when listened to alone, regardless of whether they were title tracks or B-sides. Although we wanted to include all tracks, we aimed to choose songs that convey a story even as instrumental tracks."

It's reported that a lot of effort went into the mastering of the instrumental tracks for this album. Hwang re-mastered all the instrumental tracks, ensuring each song could be enjoyed in the format that best suits its sound. He said, "LPs suit warm, analogue sounds, so we focused on actual instrumental tracks rather than too danceable or electronic sounds. Conversely, tracks like 'Slave to the Rhythm' sound like commercial music in instrumental form, so they were included in the CD and online versions."

Hwang further advised listeners, "Usually, people focus on melody and lyrics when listening to songs, but there are numerous instruments behind them. Listening to instrumental versions might reveal parts previously overshadowed by vocals. Additionally, the tracklist was arranged considering the flow of the music, so please listen accordingly."

ONF member Minkyun told News 1, "For this album, focus on the themes of each track. Listen to the rhythm and bass to appreciate the themes more." Seungjun added, "The charm of an instrumental album lies in hearing the instrument sessions separately, offering a new experience. It allows listeners to create and imagine deeper emotions, a flow, and stories. Since ONF's songs contain many narratives, I hope you can feel the thrill of those aspects. I wish for it to feel like our journey unfolds as a fairy tale."

The Adair Club of light blues turned out in force to support the lodges and our very own bro Simon on passing to the second degree.

The festive board was brilliant all 5 courses, the speeches and toasts were inspiring, the free raffle raised lots of money for local causes as every brother gave freely, the prizes donated were most excellent.

The night over many of us conveined to the bar for some social drinks and chatting with a night cap.

Nobody wanted to leave this wonderful evening, always a good night at JDC especially us Gordano Lodge boys there too.

[Album+Video] Chilly Gonzales mit neuem Album!

Chilly Gonzales veröffentlicht am 15. September sein neues Album "French Kiss" über sein eigenes Label Gentle Threat - das erste Album von Chilly Gonzales, das in der Sprache von Molière und Bangalter geschrieben und aufgeführt wird. Vorab gibt es den Track "Cut Dick" nebst Video! "’Cut Dick’ ist ein Stück von Monsieur Oizo, alias Quentin Dupieux, das ich seit seiner Veröffentlichung liebe. Ich habe mir immer eine orchestrierte Version vorgestellt. Das Label Ed Banger Records hatte ein Orchesterkonzert mit mehreren Titeln organisiert, und ich sah, dass Cut Dick nicht auf der Titelliste stand! Ich dachte, ich muss etwas tun. Nach der Pandemie führte ich eine Live-Version des Songs auf der Bühne auf, und sie kam beim Publikum sehr gut an. Alles, was ich tun musste, war, Quentin zu kontaktieren, um seinen Segen zu bekommen, diesen Elektro-Punk-Song in einer ‘gonzifizierten’ Version zu covern“, so Chilly. Der Videoclip, bei dem Daniel Gebhart de Koekkoek Regie führte, übersetzt den Titel audiovisuell, indem er einen DogChef zeigt, der phallische Lebensmittel schneidet - ein Saxophon-Solo vom Meister himself gibt es obendrein. 

Chilly Gonzales ist für seine intime Annäherung an das Klavier durch seine Solo Piano Album-Trilogie ebenso bekannt wie für seine unbestreitbaren Talente als Performer, der seine Showman-Energie in den Philharmonien Europas versprüht. Er hat mit international bekannten Künstlern wie Feist, Drake, Jarvis Cocker und Daft Punk zusammengearbeitet, und die hymnische Kraft seines Tracks Smothered Mate (aus IVORY TOWER) wurde zum Soundtrack des WM Sieges der französischen Fußballnationalmannschaft 2018.  Seitdem ist der unberechenbare Pianist Frankreich immer näher gekommen, bis er schließlich nach Paris zurückkehrte, um im Herzen der Ile Saint-Louis zu leben, von wo aus er die Einweihung von Notre-Dame mit einer Träne im Auge und einem Joint auf den Lippen beobachtete.
