Excited about the trailer for "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" that was released yesterday? I certainly was, and did a drawing of one of the shots that I really liked, for #DailyMovieSketch. This was drawn with that pencil you see next to the sketchbook. Tap on the drawing to see a proper scanned version, on @dailymoviesketch. #VSCOCam #Canon #5DMarkIII #Baahubali2trailer #WKKB (at Marredpally,sec-bad)

Blood of Silvers: The Beginning of the End

Yes, in this AU, Rakepick kills Sarahi.
I imagine that most of you have never watched the Baahubali movies and therefore have no context for WHY THE FUCK-
And that is funny to me so I will currently give no context for why this happened LMAO. I will tell you that Rakepick most definitely did this against her will.
This drawing is based on the ending of the first movie, Baahubali: The Beginning.

This is my idea for the Baahubali fix-it that no one asked for, because I love tragedies, but it just hurts so much!!!!!!!!!
I don’t think it’s possible to reverse all of the tragedy, though, and I don’t even want to because the story is so good. I just don’t want Amarendra to die and I don’t want Devasena to be imprisoned for 25 years. There still has to be a lot of pain and suffering before the happier—but still bittersweet—ending, because anything less wouldn’t feel right.
Sivagami still orders her son’s death. Kattappa still stabs him in the back. Devasena still returns to Mahishmati, where Sivagami begs for her forgiveness and declares Mahendra king. Bhallaladeva still kills his own mother and captures Devasena and burns Kunthala. Sivagami still dies with the knowledge that she was manipulated into ordering Kattappa to kill her son.
Where the plot diverges is that Devasena tells Kattappa that she knows Mahendra is still alive and he believes her, and because Mahendra is now the rightful king, Kattappa has no reason to serve Bhallaladeva anymore. I also want him to realize that keeping an oath if it forces him to do terrible things is not worth it. Poor Kattappa. I don’t blame him for anything, I just want him to be happy. I want Kumara Varma to survive somehow, too.
Kattappa frees Devasena and they escape from Mahishmati. Devasena wants him to go in search of Mahendra, and he wants to stay with her, but he does as she asks. Meanwhile, believing that Amarendra is dead, Devasena goes to bury him, but finds no body. She goes back to the village where they were living before and finds Amarendra there, barely alive: the villagers found him and brought him back there to heal him. There would be so much poetic justice to Mahishmati’s people saving him.
Is it realistic for him to survive? Maybe not. But he took more than a dozen arrows to the back and kept fighting, which isn’t realistic either, except in the world of Baahubali—I refuse to believe that one stab wound killed him. Of course, he still got hurt really badly, so I think he’d be unconscious for at least a week and would need to heal for longer. (Someone give me the hurt/comfort fic I need! Or do I have to write it myself?) Devasena is afraid he’s going to die, especially during the first few days, and she sings to him (which would be such a bittersweet parallel with when he was injured in Kunthala) and he eventually opens his eyes.
Obviously I don’t want Amarendra to die because I love him. But the other thing is that, depending on the story, I feel like character death can be very unsatisfying, because there’s no more development after that—their story just ends. I want to see how he would handle everything that happened. I want to see how he would deal with the pain of his mother ordering his execution, and the fact that she’s dead, and the fact that his child is gone (the child he never even got to meet), and the fact that Bhallaladeva is behind it all. Especially when he learns how Bhallaladeva treated Devasena!
Sivagami’s death hurts too, because she’s such a fascinating and well-written character, but at least she gets a compete character arc before she dies—she realizes she was wrong and asks for Devasena’s forgiveness and saves Mahendra. She comes face to face with all her mistakes and all the lies she believed. Amarendra didn’t get that kind of development before he died. What would it look like????? What would he feel????? Pain, in so many forms. Rage at Bhallaladeva. Rage at himself, because he couldn’t prevent it all from happening??? I love suffering and being sad
On that note, we never got the Amarendra-Bhallaladeva showdown we deserved. If there’s one thing that would make Amarendra go completely berserk, it’s mistreating Devasena, and what about killing Sivagami? One of those things on its own is enough to make him snap, but both of them? After he lived his whole life unaware of how evil Bhallaladeva was, it would be so interesting to see him actually have to deal with the knowledge that his “brother” did these horrible things to the people he loved.
Also, for Amarendra and Devasena to go back to Mahishmati together to defeat Bhallaladeva would make it foreshadowing when Devasena said that she would gladly follow him to the jaws of death!!! I need that!!!!!!!!!! And the lion on Bhallaladeva’s chariot—the jaws of death—!!!!!!!!
As amazing as it is when Mahendra fights Bhallaladeva, I wanted it to be Amarendra. I basically want that scene to unfold exactly as it did in the movie, except with Amarendra instead. Devasena still does the fire ritual, because her having revenge on Bhallaladeva is one of the most satisfying moments ever. She would still have gathered firewood as a prisoner, and she would still burn him on the pyre—she just wouldn’t have to wait 25 years to do it. She’s suffered enough.
Then, because Sivagami declared Mahendra king, Devasena would become Raja Mata. And as much as I love him, we all know Baahu’s innocent and trusting nature makes him a bad choice to rule. Although, back to my earlier point, it would be satisfying to at least see him grow as a character after truly comprehending Bhallaladeva’s betrayal—but regardless, the best outcome is Devasena as queen. I also feel like her character development was building up to that when she criticized Sivagami’s choices and Mahishmati’s laws, and she was right about all of it. I just think she should be the one on the throne.
One of the things I also find so sad about the movie is that they never got to raise their son, and Amarendra loves children so much. Hopefully sometime after Devasena becomes Raja Mata they are reunited with Mahendra while he’s still a kid—either he climbs the waterfall early, or Kattappa finds him—and they actually get to raise him. Also, they should have a daughter and name her Sivagami. They should rebuild Kunthala together, with Kumara Varma’s help. The story ends with Kattappa no longer a slave or bound by any oath and treated as a full member of the family, who helps raise their kids. That’s what I want!!!!!!!!!

#Bahubali2 Scene By Scene Part 18: A Short Sad Stab
Welcome back!  I decided I wanted to get all the sad parts over with as quickly as possible.  So sad part part 1 was a few hours ago, now sad part part 2, and sad part part 3 will be going up in a bit.  And then, thank goodness, we just have the big old battle to deal with!  Which might wait until Monday, seems like you should all have enough to talk about with these three posts over the weekend.…
