Desde entonces, acoge a cualquiera que pueda pasar una pequeña pero difícil prueba, dónde son juzgados no solo por Kei-Ahn, sino por un elenco de actores y actrices famosos del país. WKA tiene firmado un acuerdo con todas las empresas de entretenimiento en el que aquellos idols o trainees que deseen ser actores, puedan tomar algunas clases en su centro, siempre y cuando actuen, aparezca que es de su empresa.

CONTRATOS CON WKA

› Los contratos no son tan fáciles como parecen. Se debe de estar mínimo dos años como trainee y demostrar que tienes madera para ser actor/actriz. El saber cantar o bailar no suma puntos, pero siempre viene bien en algunas películas, anuncios de TV o doramas. › Las dietas son necesarias, pero son impuestas por un equipo médico que evalúa lo que necesita el cuerpo de cada idol. Los trainees se someten a una dieta básica: pueden comer todo en pequeñas cantidades y hacer ejercicio después. › La vida de los trainees no suele ser muy ajetreada, van unas tres o cuatro horas a ensayar y a aprender, y luego, regresan a sus casas. Aquellos que no pueden, van a unos apartamentos compartidos con otros trainees. Los actores y actrices debutados también viven en apartamentos, pero en su mano queda si vivir solos o en conjunto. › Las relaciones están permitidas, pero han de ser llevadas, no en secreto, pero sí no hacer una noticia de ellas. › Las redes sociales importan, y si bien crean un perfil en cada una para cada serie o película, son llevadas siempre por los mismos. Interactuar con los fans mediante estas redes siempre es importante. Aún así, controlan mucho a los idols sobre qué poner o qué no poner sobre series o películas, para no dar mucha información. Tienen mucho cuidado con las filtraciones. › La vida con los fans es casi igual a la de los idols cantantes, suelen hacer fanmeetings para promocionar las series/películas, aunque no tan seguido. Los idols también interactuan con los fans por su cuenta. › Las ganancias de la empresa están repartidas entre un 30% para la empresa, y un 70% para los idols. También depende de qué papel tenga ese idol, si es principal, ganará algo más.

OBSERVACIONES

Solo admiten actores y actrices, así como trainees que deseen ser actores y actrices en un futuro.

Puede que sus trainees y idols sepan cantar y bailar, pero no será su empleo principal.

Sus idols pueden debutar como un cantante en solitario, pero deberán de hacer una especie de contrato temporal con alguna otra empresa. Aún así, su color seguirá siendo el de WKA dado que es su primer empleo.

Traditional yet spare architectural forms make up this winter retreat for interior designer and homeowner, Britt Taner, and her family of five.

Located in the seaside planned community of Windsor, Florida, the Windsor Residence project follows strict requirements set by the township. The design guidelines are derived from vernacular Anglo-Caribbean sources to encourage the simultaneous time-honored values of community and privacy while being responsive to the semi-tropical environment.

Although limited in size and aesthetic range, the home maintains simple, direct forms. Four pavilion volumes of varying scale, shape, and function are arranged around a pool and courtyard oriented to the sun. Roofs are steeply pitched with broad overhangs, complying with guidelines while maintaining their purest distinct form.

Entry into the home begins through a landscaped entry court along the west side of the site that doubles as guest parking in between a colonnade of palms atop crushed gravel. A white stucco retaining wall extends from the back of an open-air pool pavilion to guard the entrance into the courtyard and procession to the main door.

Composed entirely of a white masonry wall and punched openings, the pool pavilion’s exposed structural roof framing is the most primitive expression of the building type, removed from any function other than shade from the sun, shelter from the rain, and privacy from the street.

It stands opposite the living-dining pavilion, a more developed form that nonetheless maintains simplicity and features a singular interior volume that echoes the balanced, symmetrical shapes of the exterior. This volume mediates between the private courtyard and distant views of the landscape and town center to the east, making it perfect for both family time entertaining.

Functional family spaces of kitchen, baths, bedrooms, and closets are housed in a two-story pavilion to the north, open to the sun and courtyard to the south. Additionally, a separate guest suite is tucked under the roof of the garage-pavilion. A row of privacy hedges and columnar trees complete the enclosure of the courtyard.

Highlights include: • Design guidelines derived from vernacular Anglo-Caribbean sources that are responsive to the semi-tropical environment. • Simple, direct forms with four pavilion volumes of varying scale, shape, and function arranged around a pool and courtyard oriented to the sun. • Fun, lively interiors blending vintage finds, like a 1920s brass cocktail table from Paris, with contemporary design elements, including Bulthaup custom countertop, cabinetry and dining table, Carl Hansen CH56 bar stools, Knoll Barcelona chairs and Flos table lamps.

After a lengthy search, a full penthouse floor of a Chicago high-rise was discovered that afforded 11 foot high ceilings, a double height space looking south to the city, and 360 degrees views. The site for Residence for Two Collectors was gutted to a shell condition, awaiting the new interventions.

The owners’ brief was “a home we love, have pride in, are comfortable in; ability to entertain graciously with simple elegance”.

Lifelong collectors, the brief included also finding space for numerous pieces of mid-century (to present day) furniture, sculpture, art. It was to feel comfortable for the couple and their dog, their immediate family, and philanthropic events for 75 people.

The process was truly collaborative, with the owners intimately knowledgeable, fascinated in construction; the way buildings, things are made. Discussions often led to Jean Prouve and Pierre Chareau, who offered the precedent of machined elements that could operate, and transform spaces of long views and openness to ones contained, and in between.

The first essential decision was the non-directional end-grain walnut floor, providing the visual weight and durability of a factory. Plastered perimeter walls for art; perforated metal, slatted wood, and floating planes of fabric provide acoustic absorption.

Machined, patinaed steel fabrications were subsequently “inserted” as operative/functional elements: barn/pocketing doors, shelving/storage/mezzanine loft and stair, doors and jamb-liners, all to toughen the space. After all, the client’s father was a machinist, and what could be a greater sign of respect than selecting correct fastener size and drive, countersunk of course.
