yk when you see someone share a finished handmade item that they clearly spent a lot of time and money on and it's just. The absolute tackiest thing you have seen in your life. And then you ask yourself why someone would waste all those resources on such an eyesore.
(no, of course you can't relate to that because you're a much nicer person than me)
In any case.
BEHOLD!

A wool coat!
The top fabric is handwoven and handspun, the whole thing is sewn by hand, too.
Tumblr media
Leftovers. Barely anything, all things considered, which is very satisfying.
This thing took me well over 3 years to make, on and off. And now I'm done.
Thank you for your attention.

you lose sight of it, somehow, when you consort with gods: how fragile mortals are, and how precious.

i've already made posts about this so many times but every time the raven queen's ascension gets brought up and its talked about like she did it for immortality or purely for power it makes me go a little insane because the story of her being a follower of the god of death before her and taking his place specifically because he didn't respect death is one of the best things about her lore in my opinion. that one of the biggest differences between her and those who failed attempts at ascension is that she did because of faith and not to spite it.

I like to imagine that every so often, Caleb and Essek go on vacation which entirely consists of two weeks of Essek trying to brute force teleport them into Aeor so that Caleb can have another go at that necromantic gem in the pillar.

Still reeling from Ludinus “I hate the gods, they can’t be trusted” Da’leth being asked what proof he has that Predathos (an immortal being 10 times more powerful than any god) won’t destroy exandria and he basically said “I asked him and he said he pinky promised that he won’t hurt us and I believe him”
Like he’s supposed to be this hyper intelligent arch mage and he didn’t think to like… run some tests??? Do some experiments??? Hello???

it absolutely kills me when fandom depicts bloodweave with Gale as the anxious rule abiding one that gets flustered over any crime worse than jaywalking, while Astarion is all crime and malice and not having fun unless he's breaking rules
like
have you guys heard of facades?
one of them spent his childhood obsessively hunting for ever more new and exciting ways to defy the laws of nature and his parents, became part of an exclusive circle of people who notoriously hold themselves above the rules for the sake of fucking around and finding out. proceeded to find that environment too stifling, decided to ignore their rules too, and fucked around so hard he ended up doomed for defying his own chosen god. and still didn't learn.
The other one was studying hard to make a prestigious career of upholding the law, and only turned to crime after centuries of desperation and no alternative. he's not even good at mugging.
if those two were trying to do something illegal and dangerous, Astarion would talk a big game until they actually got down to business, then watch in horror as Gale runs headlong into some life threatening bullshit with all the energy of a kid at disneyland

This all really helps put into perspective even more than ever how much of a DUMBASS Ludinus is. He’s watching this too, watching these unfathomably powerful beings curbstomp Aeor in a matter of minutes. And he wants to bust out the thing that EATS THOSE??!

hunger is whatever shape the moonlight pulls your shadow into.
The cover and first two pages of a comic about Essek and touch, set just after episode 97 and the reveal of his treachery.
There are nine pages. I will post them in batches as I finish them, and each post will be updated with the links to the other pages. 💜
I've had this idea sketched out for several years (check out my user icon, which hasn't changed since I made this account 😉 ), and I am excited to finally sit down and finish it! Here's a close-up of the Rosohna and Xhorhaus panel on page 2.

you know what i am so glad that exu calamity gave us insight into vespin chloras's reasoning and everything because now i can confidently say that the guy who kicked off the point in exandria's history that killed 2/3 of the population and fundamentally changed the way the gods interact with the world had more understandable reasoning than ludinus da'leth does.
