A/N: Sorry this took so long. It was meant to be a blurb but it’s a bit of a one shot. 

Requested:  @wittlemalum  hi!! can i get a blurb on draco realizing he forgot your birthday?

Cheers filled the air as the Slytherin seeker swept down through the air victoriously waving the golden snitch in the air. The roars of the crowd were deafening. Harry and the rest of Gryffindor hovered above the pitch looking dejected. 

Draco met you as soon as he touched down, he threw the arm that wasn't holding the snitch around you. The huge band of Slytherins with you in the centre charged back to the common room cheering. The quidditch cup had been snatched from Gryffindor's clutches. 

The party raged long into the night. The quidditch team was at the centre dancing, drinking and singing. All of the Slytherins and Slytherin supporters were there. As the seeker who had caught the snitch and secured the title Draco was at the of the celebrations. 

The next morning dawned and the Slytherin's dungeon was finally calm and quiet everywhere except y/n's dorm. As soon as all of the girls were up they pounced on you showering you in presents, birthday punches and happy greetings. You secretly couldn't wait to go down to breakfast and see Draco, you were shocked he hadn't snuck up to your dorm to greet you immediately. 

"Hey" As soon as Draco saw you he looked up and smiled. You took your usual seat just to the left of him. He reached over you to get some toast. ""How are you y/n" he asked. Your head felt a little fuzzy, did Draco forget? He had always been an amazing boyfriend, the best you could wish for, what had gotten into him today. 

You walked by Draco's side all morning, holding hands and barely speaking. Just going through the motions of life. All you wanted was for him to show you a bit of care. 

"Are you okay Draco?" you asked hoping that you might snap him out of his funk. 

"No I have a humungous headache from last night," he muttered angrily. You frowned to yourself and tried to concentrate on what Snape was saying. Every lesson you went through was tough. Sitting next to grumpy Draco who had forgotten your birthday made it one of the worst days you had had all year. 

Your feet slapped the corridors and your breath mingled with your tears as you ran into myrtle's bathroom. You collapsed on the floor in a bit of a heap and sobbed your heart out. Myrtle floated curiously nearby watching you. 

"oh poor y/n just because a silly boy forgot her birthday, y/n is older than poor myrtle will ever be." she skulked flicking her ponytails around. 

"Where is y/n" Draco ran down corridors and up stairs combing the castle for you. Yelling your name at the top of his lungs. Blaise looked up from the couch in the common room that Draco was currently rampaging. 

"You fucked up mate" he said before chucking and turning back to his book. 

"Yes, Blaise thank you so much for pointing that one out." He snapped back before seeing walk back into the common room. 

"y/n" He yelled running over to you. You pointedly looked away. He grasped your hand. 

"I am so ridiculously sorry y/n" You just sniffed indignantly.  

"Oh, I am sure you are Malfoy." he looked defeated. 

"y/n please, I bought you a present and planned the evening and everything I only forgot today." He pleaded with you rather desperately. 

"You can stay mad, just let me show you." You just frowned at him. 

"Fine" you muttered distastefully.  

Your feet tapped on the stairs. Not going to lie you were rather nervous-still mad but nervous. Seeing Draco standing in the tower among the glowing stars alleviated your nerves a bit. He turned and saw you enter. 

"You look beautiful, darling." A soft blush spread across your cheeks at his words. Draco kissed your hand softly and led you over to the grey blankets. He had arranged silken pillows, warm knits and tea candles around the tower to create a  beautiful picnic space. Draco fidgeted with the grey pillow next to him. 

"I truly am sorry y/n." The sincerity of his words left you speechless, Draco had never been one to apologise. 

"This is beautiful, I can see the care you have put in," you gasped. You may not have fully forgiven him but you knew Draco truly loved you and you truly loved him. 

You sat there together in your own bubble away from whatever life really was and talked, ate and gazed at the heavens.
