CAN I PRETTY PLEASSSEEE request more child! Reader with squid games caretakers😿. The one I read a bit back was super comforting and I highkey want more💔
Squid game male characters x little girl reader
Tumblr media
Ok I see that you liked this dynamic and it's good, it also helps my inner child so I bring you more, and here I will put writings of the characters in the first and second seasons ♡
If you want me to do it with the female characters, let me know!
master list!
> Seong Gi-hun
With him the tea parties were never boring
He always made you laugh and made sure you had fun even when your mother looked at him sternly for being with you longer than he should, now you won't finish the schoolwork.
He wasn't a good father, admitted it, but at least he tried and this time he didn't make the same mistake as did with your little sister.
—I think the princess would love to have more tea! —He said in a squeaky voice moving your toy doll as if she was the one talking.
You laughed and served him more with a fine movement, you loved the few moments spent with your father.
But you also noticed the tension that your father and mother had every time he came home and that was something that you didn't like, you were small but not ignorant, you could see that something was wrong between them, you just didn't know what it was about and that led you to commit some pranks that in your mind seemed innocent.
Like, for example, sneaking out of school to go see him, at first he would congratulate you for being so smart but then he would scold you for putting yourself at that risk.
—I like that you come to see me but don't do it this way, your mother would kill me —He said taking your hand as both walked through the subway to take the train back to school.
—She doesn't mind —You said with an innocent smile —besides, she's busy organizing the move.
—¿Moving? ¿Where are they going to move?
You raised your shoulders without having an answer, neither your mother nor your stepfather wanted to tell and that activated an alert in Gi-hun's head, after taking you to school again was when he found that strange and mysterious man with the briefcase and after that day your father was never the same.
He only wanted the best for you and your little sister and if he had to stay away to protect you that's what he would do.
> Cho Sang-Woo
Walking on his shoulders was the best, you felt like you could see everything from above and you liked hugging him by the neck from time to time.
It was curious how you were the only one who could see him smile genuinely, at first he felt scared when received the news that he was going to be a father, he wasn't going to lie, considered leaving you with your mother and sending money every month but now he couldn't see himself in a world without you.
—¿Do you want vanilla or strawberry ice cream? —him asked you as I walked towards the ice cream stand.
—¡Strawberry! —You responded happily while pulling his hair a little like that chef mouse used to do in the movie you liked so much.
He let out a low chuckle and walked towards it but stopped short when he saw a group of men that he instantly recognized walking casually down the sidewalk, they still didn't see Sang-woo but he was sure that if they did there would be problems because of his money problems.
He immediately put you on the ground and walked back the way came from, you looked at him in confusion, but before asking a question he entered a store without letting go of your hand.
—¿And the ice cream?
Your question caught his attention and he took his attentive gaze away from the door.
He formed the best smile could and told you that better choose some candy from there, you excitedly did so, ignoring the tension on his part and after a few minutes fortunately those bullies continued walking without seeing them, Sang-woo was able to release the air trapped in his lungs and returned to you.
After paying for the chocolates you took, both left the store and continued walking back home until Sang-woo met the recruiter.
The recruiter filled him with promises of a stable and secure future for you, a future where he wasn't constantly worried about your safety or whether he had enough money to buy the things you wanted.
He left you in the care of your grandmother and entered the games, it didn't matter what he had to do or the traitorous murderer he would become, he promised to come home and would do that.
> Hwang Jun-ho
No matter what he did, you did exactly the same thing whether it was something common or something dangerous.
¿Was he preparing to have cereal for breakfast? You did it too, ¿did he accidentally spill milk on the table? You also dropped it just to copy it.
You saw him as a hero and bragged at school that your father was a police officer to the point where they bullied you for even listening to it, something you didn't care about because you were still proud to say it.
People used to tell Jun-ho that you were a mini copy of him and that made him smile, because it was true and he was proud of it but also a little terrified of the trouble you were going to get into as you grew up.
He would drop you off at school every morning to make sure brought your breakfast and were well combed and clean, sometimes he struggled with your hair because being a single father he had to resort to video tutorials on the internet but you were always happy with the result.
—If you can't open your water bottle, ask the teacher for help —Your father said as you got out of the car.
—¡Yes daddy! —With your backpack carried on the shoulder and stumbling you ran towards the entrance of the school before they closed, it was already late and there was little tolerance and the teacher at the entrance let you know with an expression of disgust when she saw you.
You apologized with a slight bow and the teacher scolded you, she was already telling you about your punishment when suddenly Jun-ho sounded the sirens of his patrol car to get the teacher's attention.
Your father was still sitting inside the vehicle, only this time showing his best smile and waving at her with one hand.
The woman immediately changed her posture, gave your father a flirtatious smile and gently pushed you into the school, telling you that this was the only exception.
Jun-ho knew how to use his charms and he would use them as long as it was to save you from a school punishment or for them to make exceptions like this.
both had an excellent father-daughter relationship, however, when he went to that island to look for In-ho and then he was found in the water, those were the worst days of your short life. During the time he was in a coma, you slept next to him and your grandmother had to take you off of him by order of the nurses.
The good thing about that is that when Jun-ho opened his eyes, the first thing he felt was your body pressed against his like a little koala looking for comfort.
You were a real daddy's girl.
> Ali Abdul
Due to your nationality you were excluded at school, you didn't care much since the encouraging words of your mother and father always echoed in your head but when you started learning magic tricks to impress your classmates the teasing got worse.
Now you were in the back of your house trying to learn a card magic trick while holding back tears, you didn't want to worry your family, your father was constantly working and your mother was busy taking care of newborn brother.
You knew your family was going through a hard time so tried to make as little noise as possible.
You placed a six diamond card in your left hand and shuffled the other cards with your right hand, you made a quick movement of your hands and the card managed to appear right in the middle of the others
—Taraaaa... —you said without much encouragement despite your successful result.
Suddenly you heard a joyful applause and turned your head as saw your father coming out of the house looking at you with pride.
—¡That was fantastic princess!
—¿Oh really? ¡Thank you! —You said more excited than before, rearranging the cards in your hands to do the trick.
—It would be an honor to see a great magician do her show.
Despite being absent from you most of the day, he loved you and always reminded you by telling you or just paying you a lot of attention, even if it was only for a short time.
He knew that they bullied you for being different from others, he also suffered that discrimination but he tried to make you feel better every day.
For the next two hours he was attentive to every magic trick you taught him and applauded with pride and surprise every time you finished successfully, may have had no money and social status was horrible but were a united family and that was all that mattered.
He entered the games to help his family move forward, he spent each one thinking about you, your mother and your brother, family was his motivation and in fact, thanks to you he was saved in the game of marbles.
"Nothing is what it seems"
You said at the end of each act of magic and for some reason he remembered the phrase when he was about to fully trust Sang-woo, he didn't and just as you played with illusions and cards, he played with distraction and marbles.
> Hwang In-ho
He is not an excellent father, his work and the hard life he led consumed him as a human, but at the end of the day he always made sure to come to your room to read you a bedtime story, turn on the night light so you wouldn't be afraid of the dark, and stay by your side until you fell asleep.
You were a small lotus flower growing in a minefield, he disliked it but it was the only way to have you by his side, he affectionately called you "little sun" because you illuminated his life among so much death and darkness.
—...And then the circle did this for me —You finished narrating your day while showing him a paper flower that a guard with the circle figure impregnated on his mask had made for you.
—it's very pretty —He said after turning on the light to sleep and sitting next to you on the bed.
He was busy most of the day so he asked the guards to take care of you, a wonder for you and a danger for them because if he noticed a single unhealed scratch on your body he would make sure that the guard who didn't take good care of you would pay the consequences.
—It's time to go to sleep.
In-ho covered you with the blanket and placed a kiss on your forehead while humming a sweet melody that your mother loved.
You pretended to fall asleep and he left the room, usually you were obedient to his every rule but this time would be different.
This occasion was special.
You put on your bunny slippers and left the room wearing your duck pajamas, one of the square guards saw you on the screen but with just two buttons he changed the image to prevent the frontman from seeing you.
You walked cautiously until a triangular guard found you and guided you to a huge room with a childlike atmosphere, a blue sky painted all over the wall with white clouds and rainbows decorating it.
He gave you a radio and you spoke to all the circular workers to start your big plan.
You were a very smart and nice girl so you managed to convince everyone to help you organize a surprise birthday party for your father.
Placed balloons of all colors, confetti bombs everywhere and they made you a cake just as you requested, a large cake with a badly made figure of the frontman on top.
The next morning the mere image of seeing your father wearing his dark gray suit and his trademark mask in the middle of the playground with lots of colorful confetti falling on him and shouts of "Congratulations" from all the workers was enough to make you laugh.
In-ho was on the verge of a breakdown, there was a lot of work to do and you had distracted all his employees with this but he immediately calmed his fury when he saw you smiling like that.
That day was something unusual on the island, all the masked men received a slice of cake and saw their leader, the most firm, severe and imposing man open birthday gifts with his little daughter by his side, that day was an exception and there were no scoldings for helping you.
Now everyone was sure of one thing, you were his great weakness and if something happened to you the frontman would have no mercy on the world.
> The Salesman
The night passed calmly, the boring and monotonous atmosphere of the luxurious house in which you lived was about to consume you when you heard the main gate open, you quickly left your room, ran downstairs and saw your father, taking off his jacket and hanging it on the coat rack.
—¿What is the reason for this reception? —He asked you curiously as he placed his briefcase on the floor.
—¡I'm bored!
He looked at you in silence and tilted his head a little at the same time as he crouched down to be at your level.
—¿And what do you want to do? —He asked you even though he already knew your answer.
You had inherited his love for random games, where you didn't know if you would be the next to lose or win, so that was a hobby shared as father and daughter.
—¡Poker! —You said enthusiastically, forming a malicious closed-lipped smile on your mouth as you pulled a set of cards out of your pocket.
He couldn't be more proud, he was molding you into his shape and likeness which wasn't good but not all bad either, when you grow up you will have many freedoms and privileges in exchange for offering desperate people an unreliable opportunity, it wasn't an honest job but at least that way you wouldn't live like he did in his childhood, without a penny to eat.
After you explained the rules, prizes and conditions began to play, you won every time and as a reward he gave you one of your favorite chocolates, a more than special prize considering how strict he was regarding your bedtime.
Until in a bad game you lost, causing a small laugh to come out of your father's mouth.
—Looks like your luck has run out —He said leaning forward and without erasing his malicious smile.
You looked at him with half-closed eyes and before you knew it he lifted you off the ground and started to make you ribs without mercy.
You yelled at him between laughs to stop but he ignored it, despite being who the salesman was, he was more than happy to share a bit of his vile reality disguised as a childish act with you.
—Now to sleep —He said seriously once again, walking up the stairs to your room without letting you go —Tomorrow you have ballet classes and violin rehearsal, if you arrive sleepy you won't be able to do it.
—¡It's not fair! —you said with a pout as he placed you on the bed.
—Ah, princess, in life nothing is fair —he murmured, leaning down to leave a fatherly kiss on your head.
He was a heartless and sadistic man who loved the life and work he led but also loved being with you, he just hoped that when you grew up you wouldn't oppose his ideals or else he would have to get rid of you.
> Park Gyeong-seok
You were daddy's princess, while he was doing his paintings in the park you were next to him blowing bubbles and talking about random topics non-stop.
He laughed occasionally at what you said and responded to you but his eyes were still on his work, it was exhausting having to take care of you and your ill sister but there was no better reward than a hug from his two daughters at the end of a long day of work.
—¡Daddy can I go see the parade! —You said excitedly, pointing to the parade of motley that was passing by and handing out candy,
He hesitated for a few seconds, he didn't want to let you go alone and although it was a family environment there were always some risks.
—Fine but take your sister —He responded with a soft smile, you jumped with excitement and ran to your little sister to take her hand and quickly go to the parade.
Na-yeon and you went through all the people stealthily until reached the front where the animal motley were passing by and handing out candy. You jumped once again to get the attention of one of them and they gave you two pieces of candy for you and your sister.
The two continued watching the parade with a smile and curiosity until you were distracted by a clown who made you a dog made of a balloon, you didn't realize how long you were talking and laughing with that man until your father suddenly arrived and picked you up from the ground.
Gyeong-seok looked at the clown distrust and scolded you for your recklessness,
—I told you to take care of your sister, you should not talk to strangers ¿And what have I told you about staying away from me too much?
The minutes he spent anxiously looking for you were torture, when he found your sister in the dressing room with the motley, he immediately noticed your absence and his poor heart almost suffered an attack, he didn't know what he would do if something happened to you or Na-yeon.
—Sorry... —You murmur with tears in your eyes as you still see traces of his previous despair.
He hugged you tightly and turned around to return to his position where he had previously left your sister, he caressed your hair and gave you a kiss on the cheek as an apology for his reaction but you couldn't blame him, you were his world and he would lose his sanity without you.
After your sister's medical situation worsened and she was admitted to the hospital, things got a little complicated, your father knew that he had to find money to pay for her treatment and he would do whatever was necessary, even if that meant having to leave his two daughters in the care of the hospital.
—I don't want to be alone —You said with a pout on your lips and your arms crossed, although more than upset you were scared of having to go through this situation alone.
—I know princess but I need your help for this ¿Can I count on you? —He left a kiss on your forehead and took your hands to join them with his.
Receiving the news that he would have to be away for a few days distressed you a little, your mother died and you didn't want to lose him too.
He didn't want to leave them either, but that man with the briefcase offered him a great opportunity and hope that he couldn't let go.
—You are my brave girl ¿right? It will only be a few days and when I return I promise that everything will be better for us —He had no other option so he said goodbye to you with a promise that, by the way, he didn't know if he would be able to keep.
> The Masked Officer (Park Hee-soon)
Your father was a firm, authoritarian and even a little insensitive man.
Quite the opposite of you, you were an energetic and colorful ray of sunshine.
Letting you accompany him to the island was not the best decision, not because you didn't know how to behave, but because you were like a whirlpool among all the employees and guards, playing and ignoring the real reason why everyone was there.
Occasionally he would find a toy lying in the hallways and his office, naturally painted black with a small lamp next to the bed, was now full of stuffed animals and other things that you had put in the suitcase before leaving the house.
—¿Did you like how I decorated the room? —You asked happily with a wide smile on your face.
He looked at you in silence while pinching the bridge of his nose regretfully, it had been a long day at work, with the frontman infiltrating the games and him in charge being a complete burden but he could handle it, what he couldn't handle was you and your hyperactivity.
—Yeah... —He growled, taking off his black suit as he walked to the bed so could sleep, he was too tired to deal with you now but as soon as his body touched the bed you jumped on top of him, completely knocking the air out of him.
—¡I'm not tired yet! ¿Can we play something? ¡I see I see! —You suggested, jumping next to him on the bed excitedly.
—¿What do you see? —He murmured tiredly but playing along until an idea came to his mind —Hey, ¿why don't you go to the third floor and go to the eleven room to play? I'm sure she would be happy to do it.
You quickly ran to where he had told you and as soon as you left the room he grabbed the radio and spoke to eleven.
—My daughter is going there, be good and play with her until she falls asleep.
It wasn't a request for a favor, it was an order and even though eleven was also tired, she had no choice but to play with you until you fell fast asleep in her bed.
Anyway, most of the guards and employees there had a little affection for you.
> Lee Myung-gi
Now, he doesn't have the slightest idea how to take care of you.
He was still young and it wasn't in his plans to become father but now here you were, in to his computer playing video games.
—It's late and you have school tomorrow —He told you with a tired sigh, he didn't know what to do to convince you to go to sleep because when you stayed up until the wee hours of the morning it was quite a challenge to deal with you.
You ignored him and continued playing, you didn't take him seriously because he was very soft on you due to the little experience he had, also your mother's abandonment was another problem to deal with.
—Come on, you must go to sleep —He insisted for the second time, approaching you shuffling his feet, he was physically and mentally exhausted.
Another problem, now he had lost all his monetary income and several people were looking for him for fraud, it was a nightmare.
—No —you said flatly, turning to show him your tongue in a rude childish gesture.
Myung-gi sighed and left you at the computer to go to his bed to sleep, however as soon as you saw him close the door you heard him curse and... ¿Sob?
You took off your headphones and gently turned to look at the bedroom door, where you could swear he was crying.
You twisted your lips and stood up, your bare feet making contact with the floor and you crept towards the bathroom to brush your teeth and comb your hair.
After doing your little routine before going to sleep, you passed by your father's room, you stopped and thought about whether it was best to go in to see how he was or go straight to bed.
He didn't have the best family bond with you, you disobeyed him and he didn't seem to care but this time it was different, you didn't know all the problems he was going through and your behavior and rejection had been the icing on the cake.
You opened the door gently and saw him lying face down on the bed with the pillow on his face, you approached and he felt your presence so he turned to see you.
It wasn't his best year, he had lost a lot of money, all kinds of people were practically hunting him for him to give them back what they lost, he accidentally got his girlfriend pregnant and left her without telling her anything, your mother left him to his fate with you and you... another unplanned daughter that made his days more difficult.
He was overwhelmed and now lay red-eyed and full of tears on the bed.
—¿Can you read me a bedtime story? —You asked cautiously, playing with your fingers.
—I'm not in the mood... —He whispered, shrinking further into the bed.
You left the room in silence, he thought you had gone to sleep or play but after a few minutes you returned with a hot chocolate that you had prepared yourself and a children's story trapped in your arms.
You gestured for him to move aside and he did, you placed the cup of chocolate on the nightstand and lay down next to him.
—Once upon a time there was a soldier in shining armor... —You started reading the story for him.
Myung-gi was going through the worst time of his life but just for tonight, with you reading him a story and giving him a hot drink he felt better, he as a father was supposed to take care of you, not the other way around, but this nice act on your part felt like a big hug to his ugly loneliness.
He fell asleep when you finished the story, you covered him with the blanket and went straight to your room to sleep, it would be a difficult path to walk but for now you had each other, had to adapt, besides, internally both had some affection for each other.
That's why when he entered the games he took a photo of you with him, the guards took it from him when they put him to sleep but it doesn't matter, you would be a great reason to get out of there alive.
> Choi Su-bong // Thanos
He used to call you "My serotonin" because you were one of the sources of his happiness, a drug that came into his life by surprise and he had no intention of leaving.
As a father he wasn't the best of all but at least he tried, he let you dye your hair whatever color you wanted despite your young age and he bought you anything you asked for.
In your eyes he was the best father in the world but to the rest of the world he was the worst and most irresponsible.
—Fuck those idiots, you had fun, ¿right? —He said, throwing the newspaper with the headline "rapper leaves his little daughter forgotten in a club in the middle of the night" to the other side of the room.
You nodded happily as you took a sip of your apple juice.
—Besides, this is also partly your fault, I told you not to get away from me —He told you, pointing a finger at you accusingly.
He looked at you carefully, your colorful hair and your poorly painted nails of the same color were what stood out the most about your outfit, you were like a smaller version of him so he must have gotten the idea that the rules were not going to work for you.
—Anyway, let's go have breakfast ¿what do you want?
—¡Hot cakes with chocolate chips! —You shouted euphorically, raising your arms, Breakfast was the best part of the day.
—¡You read my mind darling!
With a carefree attitude he walked towards the kitchen with you following him like a baby duck would follow its mother, he wasn't the best example but you were more than proud to follow him.
You and him together were a mess but were more than happy, of course, when he lost all his money it was a problem to deal with but with you things were more fun.
And to think that at first he thought of leaving you in an orphanage, now you were his greatest confidant and official leader of his fan club.
In addition to your carefree and hyperactive behavior, you also inherited him taste for art, only you didn't rhyme, you had a fascination for plays, colorful costumes and extravagant makeup.
Another point that made him proud, your clothes were always colorful and full of life, you stood out from the ordinary just as he did.
Two colorful fish in a big ocean.
Okay tell me if you liked it! I missed Dae-ho but I hope to add him in future projects like this
Thanks for reading💗! And another thing, is anyone here a fan of Lee Dong-wook?

our leaves must fall before our flowers can bloom (teaser)
Tumblr media
genre: poly hockey team!ateez x coach fem!reader, enemies/strangers to lovers, athlete!au, slow burn, fluff, angst
length: 1.0k (teaser) + approx. 38k (full fic)
c/w: sweaty ateez (warning well deserved), lots of hurt/comfort, one of the slowest slow burns to slow burn, remaining tags to be revealed with full fic
synopsis: you become the new coach of the elite men's ice hockey team, the red devils. but with both yourself and the team carrying burdens of the past, you all find it difficult to see eye to eye. as you lead them to the championships in the korean ice hockey league, you discover that teamwork and trust is not as straightforward as it seems.
a/n: when i started writing this i really thought it wouldn't exceed 25k but here we are :D full fic will be released in about a week and i am so ready
Tumblr media
“she’s the new coach?” yunho frowns in confusion. “no offence, but we’re not a bunch of kids for her to practise being a soccer mum to.”
“she was the assistant coach for the grey eagles,” coach cho discloses.
“the grey eagles? the under-21 men’s championship team?” yeosang looks incredulous.
mingi sceptically comments, “the fact that we’ve never seen or heard of her before probably tells us enough.”
hongjoong’s lips purse sourly as he tries his hardest to analyse the situation with the professionalism of the team’s captain. but with the sudden change in coaches and the same critiquing doubts as mingi, hongjoong cannot help but feel his personal judgement webbing over his mind. over the team’s entire career as an elite ice hockey team thus far–five years, now well into their sixth–the red devils have only ever had two coaches. coach cho has been with them for the longest and whilst it took the team a while to eventually warm up to him, he has been with them for almost quadruple the amount of time it took to trust him.
the team’s alternate captain, seonghwa, speaks to you directly, “if you don’t mind me asking, why are you not playing as an athlete yourself? you’re clearly our age–nowhere near retiring.”
you knew from the very start that your age would make your credibility as a coach much lower, and your answer to seonghwa will not help your case either. “i stopped playing.”
“how come?”
the trigger of memories fills your nose with a sharp stinging smell. you blankly reveal, “i chose to stop playing.” you know exactly how it sounds like to somebody else, even more so to professional athletes. coach cho has also told you of the team’s hardheadedness and strong will when it comes to the passions of their career, so you are expecting the cold receptiveness that you are met with.
your response strikes the wrong chord within wooyoung. there was a point in his career not too long ago when the choice of continuing to play or not was at risk of becoming a forced decision. the way you answer so callously with those very words that had threatened to tear his world apart has his jaw grinding and eyes darkening, and he is not the only athlete in the arena who feels similarly.
“i would rather choose to die before i choose to stop playing. ice hockey is my entire life and without it, i am not living either, hongjoong jabs and you cannot help but clench your fists because you know exactly what he means. still, you stay quiet as he continues, “sorry, but i can’t respect a ‘coach’ who chose to stop playing.”
at the captain’s words and subsequent move to leave for the changerooms, the rest of the team also gather their equipment and follow his steps. san’s feet falter in front of you, expression hesitant until he decides to voice, “our team needs a bit of time. it’s hard for us to warm up to…outsiders, and i know it might not mean much to say this but we have our reasons. don’t expect us to blindly trust you just because you’re a coach.”
the use of the word ‘outsider’ does not go unnoticed as you nod, “of course.”
san jogs off to rejoin the others and coach cho hums, “guess some things haven’t changed. they were just as prickly to me when i first became their coach.”
you raise an eyebrow, “prickly? to you?”
“yes, believe it or not,” he chuckles nostalgically. “we’ve come a long way because i’ve been their coach for years now. but it took me a while before i was able to break down their walls.”
you briefly mull over the information, then ask out of curiosity, “what would you have done if i didn’t sign the contract?”
“begged you to rethink your decision,” he jokes with a pleased chortle. “i would have to start looking for a different coach, i suppose. you were my only pick.”
“but why me, of all people? there are so many other experienced coaches that you can choose from.”
he looks at you, eyes glinting with intuition and confidence as he simply says, “you’re familiar with their playing style. they play just like you used to.” at your silent processing, coach cho probes, “why didn’t you tell them the real reason?”
you smile wistfully, “i didn't tell them because i’m not here to gain their pity.”
some of the boys’ voices grow louder as they emerge from the changerooms, changed into fresh clothes and their kit bags slung over their shoulders. you hear one of them ask, “captain, is she really going to be our new coach?”
they step out from the facility’s corridor and you accidentally make eye contact with hongjoong, yet neither of you look away. maintaining a steady gaze directly at you, he responds with a slight glower, “maybe, but she’s only the coach by title. i’m still the captain of the team, so let’s see who everyone listens to.”
as they exit the rink’s arena, you feel a fire of determination growing inside of you. you have won over your own demons and you have won the championships before–this is nothing in comparison. whether your next words are for coach cho or for yourself to hear, it does not matter.
“i may not play anymore but i was still once an athlete and no athlete has ever, in their career, wanted pity. i’m here to earn the team’s respect and i will win over them, especially their captain.”
you watch the swing of the glass door as it shuts behind the players, catching a brief glimpse of the trees lining the arena’s perimeter. it is the first day of autumn when you meet the red devils for the first time and outside, the leaves are beginning to change their colours.

"Would it be okay if i borrowed your sweater/Shirt/ jacket?...it smells like you"

Summary: Can i borrow your shirt?/hoodie/ jacket?
(Cho hyun ju, Thanos, Namgyu, Young il, Gi hun, Dae ho, minsu, Sang woo) (Roh jae won, Choi san, Kim seo wan)
Thanos
Tumblr media
You're sitting on the couch, trying to focus on a movie, but the room feels too cold. You tug at the sleeves of your shirt and glance over at Su-Bong, who’s lounging nearby with his jacket slung over the back of the couch.
"Hey, can I borrow your jacket? It smells like you."
Su-Bong looks up from his phone, then pauses, his expression softening. There's a rare moment of vulnerability in his eyes, and he takes a breath before handing it over without a word. You pull it over your shoulders, feeling the familiar warmth that always feels like home.
He glances at you again, his lips tugging into a slight smile. "You can keep it... for as long as you want," he says, voice quieter than usual.
Namgyu
Tumblr media
Nam-Gyu's just about to leave for the day when you realize you’re feeling a bit too cold. His hoodie, draped over the back of a chair, looks so cozy, and you can't help but smile at the thought of wearing it.
"Hey, can I borrow your hoodie? It smells like you."
He freezes, turning back to look at you with wide eyes. A blush creeps up his neck, but he chuckles, rubbing the back of his head nervously. "My hoodie, huh?" He grins. "I guess that’s a yes. Just make sure you give it back, okay?"
You slip it on, the soft scent of him wrapping around you. He watches you with an amused, yet affectionate smile, obviously enjoying the way you’ve claimed his hoodie as your own. "It does smell like me, huh?"
Dae ho
Tumblr media
You’re sitting together at a café, and the draft from the open door makes you shiver. You glance at Dae-Ho’s jacket, hanging on the back of his chair, and without thinking, ask,
"Can I borrow your jacket? It smells like you."
Dae-Ho blinks, momentarily startled. Then, a shy smile spreads across his face as he shrugs off his jacket and drapes it over your shoulders. His voice is low but teasing when he says, "You sure it’s just my jacket you’re after?"
You laugh softly, pulling it closer to you. "I’m just trying to stay warm!"
"Sure," he murmurs, looking at you with that softness in his eyes that makes your heart skip. "But I like it when you wear my things. It’s... a little comforting."
Young il
Tumblr media
You’re both sitting on the floor, looking through old pictures, when you shiver. The air in the room is cold, and you look over at Young-Il’s sweater. It’s the one he always wears when he’s feeling a little down, and you’ve always loved how it looks on him.
"Hey, can I borrow your sweater? It smells like you."
Young-Il stares at you for a moment, blinking in surprise. Then, his usual cheeky grin returns as he pulls it off and hands it over. "You’ve got a soft spot for my scent, huh?" he teases.
You slip it on, feeling the soft fabric and the lingering warmth of him. You look up at him with a smile. "I just like the way it makes me feel... close to you."
His eyes soften, and he leans in to press a quick kiss to your temple. "You always know how to make me blush."
Min su
Tumblr media
Min-Su is sitting on the couch, flipping through his phone, while you quietly shiver from the cold. His sweater is within reach, and it’s exactly what you need. Without thinking, you blurt out,
"Can I borrow your sweater? It smells like you."
He looks up at you, eyebrows raised, clearly a little surprised. "My sweater, huh?" he asks, his voice teasing but with a touch of warmth.
You nod, already pulling it over your head. He grins, clearly flattered. "You sure know how to make a guy feel special."
As you snuggle into the soft fabric, Min-Su leans in, pressing a kiss to your cheek. "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you always have something that smells like me to keep you warm."
Hyun ju
Tumblr media
You’ve been cuddling on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, when you suddenly feel a chill. Hyun-Ju is next to you, her jacket sitting beside her, and without thinking, you ask,
"Can I borrow your jacket? It smells like you."
Hyun-Ju looks at you for a moment, then smiles softly. She hands it over, her voice warm. "You know, I think that’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever said to me."
You slip it on, the familiar scent of her filling your senses. Hyun-Ju leans in close, wrapping her arms around you. "If you ever need anything of mine... just ask." Her words are gentle, and you feel a warmth spread through you, both from the jacket and from the affection in her voice.
Gi hun
Tumblr media
Gi-Hun is stretching on the couch after a long day, and the chilly air in the room makes you shiver. You glance over at his oversized hoodie, already feeling the warmth it would bring.
"Hey, can I borrow your hoodie? It smells like you."
He stops stretching, blinking at you before a grin spreads across his face. "My hoodie, huh? You must be trying to steal my style."
You chuckle, slipping it on, the soft scent of him filling your senses. "I just like the way it makes me feel like you're here with me, even when you’re not."
Gi-Hun laughs, clearly charmed by your words. "Alright, alright. Keep it for as long as you want. Just... don't make it a habit to steal all my clothes, okay?"
Sang Woo
Tumblr media
Sang-Woo is at his desk, working on some notes, while you sit nearby, trying to focus on your own work. You shiver from the cold, glancing at his shirt that he’s wearing today—the one he wears when he’s feeling unusually comfortable.
"Can I borrow your shirt? It smells like you."
Sang-Woo’s eyes flicker up, and he gives you a look—half amused, half embarrassed. "You... really like the way I smell, huh?"
You shrug, your voice soft as you pull the shirt over your head. "It’s comforting... makes me feel like everything’s okay."
His lips curl into a rare, soft smile. "You can keep it. Just don’t get used to it. I’m not always this generous."
Roh jae won
Tumblr media
You’re sitting next to Jae-Won on the couch, his arm casually draped over the backrest behind you. The weather’s gotten colder, and you’re starting to feel it. Glancing at his jacket, you ask,
"Can I borrow your jacket? It smells like you."
Jae-Won’s eyes widen for a second, then he flashes a mischievous grin. "Aww, is my scent that addicting?" He chuckles, standing to take off his jacket and hand it over. "Well, if you insist..."
You pull it on, the familiar scent wrapping around you. He leans in close, pressing his lips near your ear. "Now, you smell like me. Don’t be surprised if I’m a little clingy from now on."
Choi san
Tumblr media
You’ve been quietly reading a book, but you can’t ignore the cold any longer. San’s jacket is hanging on the back of a chair, and you can’t resist. You ask,
"Can I borrow your jacket? It smells like you."
San looks at you, his face softening. "I think I’ll allow it... but only because it’s you asking." He hands it over with a teasing smile. "You sure you can handle it? It’s got all my best scents."
You slip it on, feeling the warmth and the familiar scent wrap around you. "I can handle it," you reply with a grin. "Feels like you’re here with me."
Kim Seo Wan
Tumblr media
You’re sitting beside Seo-Wan’s hospital bed, keeping him company, when he suddenly looks at you with wide, hopeful eyes. "Can I... can I borrow your sweater?"
You blink in surprise. "My sweater?"
Seo-Wan nods enthusiastically, his eyes dreamy as he says, "It smells like you, right? If I wear it, maybe I’ll feel closer to you... even when you’re not here."
You can’t help but feel a soft ache in your chest. You hand it over gently, and he immediately pulls it over his shoulders. "Thank you," he whispers, his voice full of gratitude. "I’ll never forget this. You’ve always been so kind to me."

Sukuna’s Wife and Yuuji’s Onee-chan (Sukuna x Reincarnated!Y/N) scenario
Request/Inquiry from @aikothingdream:
“It would be funny to see Yuuji also not like his teacher hitting on Onee-chan”
Tumblr media
Life as a cursed spirit’s “bride” was hilariously boring.
Gojo described your cursed energy as below average, you had zero martial arts training or talent, and Sukuna threatened Gojo and Yuuji not to put you in danger.
Yuuji was often busy training, studying, or hanging out with his new classmates. You were happy that he had people to look after him in your place, but without a job or a class to attend, you were a parasite.
To alleviate your guilt, you did everyone’s laundry (minus their unmentionables, even Yuuji's, who furiously insisted he was old enough to wash his own underwear–kids, they grow up so fast *sigh*), mopped the hallways, wiped the windows, and other chores.
You just finished rearranging the clothes in your cabinet for the second time today.
You sprawled yourself on the floor like a starfish.
Free food, no rent. Everything was paid for here. This should’ve been the ideal life, but you were so booooored.
Spurned by the desire to fill the void, you went to the kitchen. No one was around. Of course.
You searched the cupboard, but only found a half-eaten package of cookies. The fridge had a can of whipped cream on the verge of emptiness and some strawberries..
Shutting the fridge close with your hip, you chomped on a cookie and a medium-sized strawberry then sprayed a swirl of cream in your mouth.
“Guess who’s back with treats! I–ah.” Gojo Satoru stopped at the kitchen doorway, a plastic bag full of sweets hanging from his hand.
A silence fell over as you saw each other.
He stood there, quietly as you stared, frozen with a mouth stuffed with sugar.
You: (⊙o⊙)
Gojo: ( ._. )
Gojo: …
Gojo: …pft.
You: …!
You forced yourself to chew faster, but expectedly, the thing that was supposed to be in charge of you and your brother burst into maniacal laughter.
“PWAHAHAHAHA!”
“Mm…mf!”
“Oh, man. I gotta take a picture.” He pulled out his phone.
You wanted to say something, but there was too much stuff in your mouth!
Gojo continued laughing between clicks and flashes until you started choking like a pelican who swallowed too big a fish.
In an instant, he was behind you, arms wound tightly around your abdomen. “Please don’t die. It would be too pathetic!”
“Aurgh..!!!??” Translation: You think I wanna go like this, you a&%****!?
With one, strong squeeze, Gojo forced the food out of you.
“That was close! Good thing I was here or who knows what would’ve happened.”
“...”
“Hm?”
“...”
“Not going to say anything? What’s wrong, nee-san?”
Feeling a vein near popping, you coughed out, “I believe I asked you not to call me that.”
“You’re so cold. Megumi and Kugisaki call you that. Even the second years!”
You had a couple of things to say, but considering that he technically saved your life, you opted to keep them to yourself. “Thank you for the help, now please let go. I’m going to clean this up.”
But as you said this, your knees buckled and his arms shifted to stop you from falling.
“Aw, don’t be like that.”
Whoosh
A giant knife flew towards Gojo, stopped only by his infinity.
You both turned to find Yuuji standing by the door, panic and shock on his face as he gripped hard on his right arm responsible for throwing the blade.
“I-I didn’t know how that happened, I swear!”
Sukuna spoke from his cheek. “You damn blue-eyed bastard. How dare you touch my wife so shamelessly?”
“Excuse me?! I just saved her from cho–”
“Yuuji!” Embarrassed, you pushed yourself out of Gojo’s embrace and walked towards your brother. “Welcome home. Do you have any requests for dinner?”
“I’ve been craving curry rice since this morning.”
“I think we just ran out. I’llgocheckthestorageroom!” Flustered, you rushed out of the kitchen, forgetting your own mess.
Yuuji quietly went to mop the food you choked out.
Gojo sighed. “Yuuji, what should I do, I don’t think your sister likes me.”
“Gojo-sensei.”
When Gojo met his student’s gaze, it held a surprising sharpness. “???”
“Thank you for taking care of us,” Yuuji’s normally cheery tone was flat as he spoke, “but please don’t bother my sister too much.”
“???????”
Later that evening, in Fushiguro’s room…
Gojo: Megumi, why is everybody so mean to me?
Gojo: (˃̣̣̥ᴖ˂̣̣̥)
Megumi: Please leave.
A/N: I tried to have more fun with this one so I was more liberal with my style. Anyway, I got a few more requests, the products are coming soon!

meet me down on polk street
cho hyun-ju x f!woc!reader
part four here - this is part five - part six here
Tumblr media
this is a series that is based in the united states in 1967. after coming out as a trans woman back in south korea, hyun ju moves far away to california and has met the girl who is the love of her life.. y/n l/n.
warnings: same ones as the last five chapters
Tumblr media
the warm spring air of san francisco wrapped around you as you and hyun ju walked down polk street, the late afternoon sun glinting off the shop windows.
after the whirlwind of the past twentyfour hours…meeting hyun ju, inviting her into your home, the intensity of last night, and the moment earlier at the motel. it felt grounding to just walk side by side, the city humming quietly around you.
"so… there's this italian place i know," you began, glancing over at her.
"nothing fancy, but the food's good, and they have those red-checkered tablecloths that make it feel like you’re in italy or something. i found it when i first moved here and come here sometimes, does that sound good?"
hyun ju smiled softly, her hands tucked into the pockets of her vibrant skirt.
"sounds perfect," she replied, her voice light, but there was a noticeable ease in her now that hadn’t been there before.
she had changed after you got back from the motel…freshly showered, her dark hair still slightly damp and sat combed neatly over her shoulders. the korean’s outfit caught your eye as you walked together. the outfit details hyunju is wearing is stunning.
she wore black heels, adding just enough elegance without being over the top. the colors popped against her smooth complexion, perfectly in tune with the spring of 1967… a bold, yet soft, statement.
"you look very… winter turning into springtime," you commented, smiling.
she looked down at her outfit, a small blush creeping to her cheeks. "i wasn’t sure if it was too much while changing."
"no way," you laughed.
"it’s perfect. you could walk into a magazine spread and no one would bat an eye."
hyun ju chuckled, her shoulders relaxing even more.
the woman loved dressing feminine, even though it scared her sometimes. she couldn’t back in korea and the outfits helped validate her.
the italian place wasn’t far…just around the block and down a quieter street. a wooden sign that read “giuseppe’s trattoria” swung gently in the breeze, its red and green paint faded but still charming.
as you stepped inside, the aroma of garlic, basil, and baked bread filled the air. the place had that old-world charm…checkered tablecloths, wine bottles lined along the shelves, and a soft italian melody playing through the speakers.
a kind-faced waiter led you to a small booth by the window, giving you both menus before disappearing with a promise to return for drinks.
you settled in, your elbows resting lightly on the table, glancing at hyun ju as she looked around, soaking it all in.
“so…” you began, raising your brows playfully, “tell me about yourself…where are you from, miss special forces?”
she let out a soft laugh, her fingers gently tracing the edge of her menu.
“gwangmyeong,” she replied.
“it’s a small city in korea, not too far from seoul. i–uh– grew up there, spent most of my life moving between cities after joining the military.”
“ahh,” you nodded.
“so you’ve been on the move a lot.”
“more than i wanted to be,” she admitted.
you leaned in slightly, deciding to go first to make her feel more at ease.
“well, i’m from norfolk, virginia,” you said, a smile tugging at your lips.
“virginia is on the other side of the country but um… the beach was only five miles from my house. i used to ride my bike down there during summers, sit on the sand and only eat ice cream and fruit for hours.”
hyun ju’s eyes lit up.
“that sounds nice.”
“it was,” you said, though there was a tinge of sadness behind your words.
“my dad was a world war two vet, he served on the european side of the war, he being one of the only few non-white men there. my mom was a nurse stationed in france during the war too. they met there, actually.”
“really?”
“yep,” you chuckled.
“i guess it was a classic war love story, somehow. she patched him up after a minor shrapnel injury, and somehow, that was it for him.”
hyun ju smiled at that, the warmth in her eyes unmistakable.
“they got married after he got honorably discharged,” you continued, “moved back to my dad’s home virginia. dad worked in the shipyards, and mom became a housewife. typical, i guess. they had my sister in 1942 and me in 1944.”
“you’re… twenty-three?” hyun ju guessed, her eyes narrowing slightly in thought.
“january, ‘44,” you confirmed with a grin.
“ha! i’m older than you,” she said, leaning back in her seat, her smile playful.
“december ‘41.”
you gasped dramatically.
“oh no! i’ve invited a much older woman into my home!”
hyun ju snorted, laughing genuinely, the sound making your heart flutter in your chest.
“careful,” she teased, “i was a sergeant, remember? show some respect.”
you blinked in surprise.
“wait what!? you didn’t tell me you were a *sergeant!”
she smirked, a glint of pride in her eyes.
“i did say i moved up the ranks.”
“but sergeant?” you pressed, placing your hand over your chest mockingly.
“i didn’t realize i was living with someone so… authoritative.”
you kept that in mind for later late night activities with hyunju in the future..
hyun ju chuckled, her shoulders shaking slightly.
“you’ll get used to it.”
the conversation flowed easily, the nerves from earlier fading into the background.
“so, i remember you said back in the bar that you were discharged before vietnam?” you asked gently.
hyunju smile faltered slightly but didn’t fade completely.
“yeah,” she said, her voice softer now.
“they were going to send me over, but i…” she hesitated, choosing her words carefully. “i got discharged before that could happen.”
you noticed she didn’t elaborate on the details, and you didn’t push.
“probably for the best after seeing the news footage from over there,” you offered, your voice gentle.
she nodded, her fingers drumming lightly on the table.
“yeah. probably.”
the waiter returned with your food, setting the plates down carefully…your lettuce-wrapped burger and fries, and hyun ju’s fruit salad with a bright, colorful smoothie.
“enjoy, ladies,” he said with a smile before walking off.
hyunju had a great blush on her face, knowing that the man validated her identity.
you picked up a fry, dipping it in ketchup.
“you’re really eating that?” you teased, eyeing her fruit salad.
she raised an eyebrow, lifting a forkful of sliced mango.
“what’s wrong with fruit?”
you popped the fry into your mouth, smirking.
“nothing. just seems too… healthy. ha i’m kidding, i’m kidding!”
hyun ju chuckled, taking a bite.
for a while, the two of you ate in comfortable silence, the hum of the restaurant and soft italian music filling the space between you.
it felt easy.
it felt right.
like you had known her longer than just a single night.
as you took another bite of your burger, you caught her staring…not in a way that felt invasive, but soft. curious.
“what?” you asked, smiling through a mouthful.
she shook her head gently, a small smile tugging at her lips.
“just… this is nice,” she admitted. you felt warmth spread through your chest, and you couldn’t help but agree.
“yeah,” you said softly, meeting her gaze. “it really is.”
the soft clinking of silverware continues, but for a moment, all you could hear was your heartbeat. hyun ju had just asked about your older sister that you briefly mentioned in the last conversation…so casually, so gently…but it was enough to make your chest tighten.
she noticed the way your expression shifted, the way your shoulders tensed, and immediately, her lips parted in regret.
“you don’t have to talk about her,” she said quickly, her voice soft, laced with concern.
you shook your head, offering a small, tight-lipped smile.
“no… it’s okay.” you hesitated for a moment before continuing, “her name’s amanda. we used to be close… really close, actually. we grew up doing everything together. she was only a grade above me in school so we had more opportunities to do things together.”
hyun ju set down her fork, giving you her full attention, her dark eyes soft but attentive.
“however, she didn’t go to college after high school like i did. she married her high school sweetheart, joseph, right after graduation.” you let out a dry chuckle, pushing your fries around on the plate.
“to the family, that was the better choice. the traditional one since according to my dad, the world is ‘turning into a bunch of hippies.’”
hyun ju’s brow furrowed slightly, sensing the sting behind your words.
“when i told my parents i was going to virginia tech…especially after the school started to finally integrated black and ‘colored’ people into their schools…my mom was secretly happy for me. she would tell me and i could see the joy in her eyes,” you smiled at the memory, but it faded fast.
“but my dad? he wondered if it was too risky. said something like, ‘college women aren’t preferable to a lot of men.’”
you rolled your eyes at the thought, the sting of those words still lingering after all these years.
“that was before i even realized i was gay. before i could understand why i didn’t care what men thought of me. i remember cringing at the idea of marrying a man. it felt wrong. it always had… but anyways…”
your gaze drifted to the window, watching the soft sway of tree branches in the spring breeze.
“now, though?” you smiled softly, your heart fluttering with the thought.
“i can actually picture it…getting married. maybe not the big white dress or all that, but… standing there with someone who really sees me. who loves me.”
you caught hyun ju’s gaze, her expression unreadable but her eyes so soft, so gentle, like she could see into your thoughts.
maybe it could be her, you thought for a brief moment, feeling the warmth spread through your chest.
the heaviness of the conversation pulled you back.
“anyway,” you sighed, “things changed with amanda. we were treated like equals until i decided to do something different. going to college made me the outsider. and when… when i was outed by jane…” your throat tightened at the memory.
“amanda was the only one who wasn’t outright cruel, she didn’t call me slurs or make disgusted faces at me but she stuck by her husband, joseph, who said all sorts of disgusting things about me.”
you could still hear his voice in your mind…muttering under his breath at family dinners, calling you slurs when he thought no one could hear.
“after i got my degree in social work, i ran. didn’t tell anyone where i was going, not even amanda. she's probably upset at me, but i do not know how she is doing anymore..”
you felt hyun ju’s gaze linger on you, and when you looked up, her frown deepened, her eyes filled with something unspoken.
“that sounds… familiar,” she murmured, her voice soft.
you tilted your head, giving her a knowing smile, “you ran away too.”
she nodded, her fingers playing with the edge of her napkin, “to find somewhere safer. somewhere better.”
the connection between you thickened, almost tangible.
“and now you’re here in one of the friendliest-ish cities for gay people,” you whispered.
“and so are you.”
the silence between you was no longer heavy…it was comforting, like the unspoken understanding between two people who had carried the same kind of pain for too long. after finishing your meals, hyun ju quietly reached for the bill, sliding it toward her before you could protest.
“hey—” you started.
she shook her head, smiling, “my treat.”
you smiled, letting her.
as the two of you stepped back out onto the sidewalk, the sky had shifted into soft shades of pink and purple, the sun dipping low behind the city’s skyline. the cool breeze rustled through your coat as you wrapped your arm around hyun ju’s waist, feeling her arm snake around yours in return.
the streets were quieter now, the city winding down for the evening. as you turned onto polk street, you noticed the familiar line forming outside the black cat bar. the neon sign flickered to life, casting its soft pink glow on the sidewalk.
you slowed for a moment, glancing at hyun ju. she looked back at you, and without saying a word, the two of you shared a silent agreement.
not tonight.
tonight, you just wanted to go home.
you both passed the bar, the laughter and music growing faint as you made your way back to your apartment. the place you guys met just 24 hours before can wait another evening.
when you finally reached your porch, you stopped, taking in the moment…the soft glow of the streetlights, the way her arm still rested gently around your waist, the ease you felt just being next to her.
nothing was said.. but the heated feelings lingered in the air, filling the quiet space between you with something sweet, and something real.

((This started as a fun little drabble by @colibrie and it was such a cute image that I had to draw something for it, so here you go.))
釣り - Fishing
Tumblr media
"Otō-san! Otō-san!" Cho yelled, charging forward to wrap Yoshi's knees in a strong (and wet) hug, beaming a snaggle toothed smile that could rival the sun. "Look! SanSan and me got a biiig feesh! Just like Chio-san!"
"Is it big enough for all of us to eat, otō-sama?" San queried, big eyes peeping adorably from beneath his over sized hood even as his tiny arms easily pinned the struggling koi in place on the paving stones.
There was not a single part of him that could be angry, even the part keenly aware of the disapproving stares spearing into his back.
"I am very proud my sons," he replied, kneeling down to properly meet his eldest boy's eyes. "It was kind of you to want to help feed others, and resourceful of you to work together to achieve your goal. But these fish are not for eating."
"Why would you waste time and resources to keep fish that aren't for eating?" San asked, cocking his head as Cho clicked his beak in confusion.
"Koi are special fish," Yoshi explained, raising his voice ever so slightly to cover the disapproving "tsk" that hissed from the group behind him. "They are symbols of fortune, luck, and fortitude. In return for our care they bring blessing to the house and all under its roof."
"How can a fish bring blessings?" San asked with a frown, ever the inquisitive skeptic.
"There are powers at work in this world beyond what we can see, Sannan," Yoshi chided gently, barely suppressing a chuckle at the nonplussed look he received in reply.
A loud sniff ended his amusement, and he quickly looked down to find big, tear-filled eyes staring up at him.
"Are the symbols gonna do bad things now cause we tried ta eat 'em?" Cho whimpered, lip wobbling as a few salty lines rolled down his cheeks.
"No Aka-chan," he soothed, catching the edge of his sleeve to clean his child's cheeks. "You and San-chan didn't act out of malice. If you put the koi back and apologize, they will understand. And then, I will take you to the river and help you catch some fish for supper."
"But you said we aren't allowed to swim in the river. It's too fast," San countered, even as he dutifully rolled the captured koi back into the pond with a loud splash.
"Yes. I will show you how humans fish. But first…"
He led his sons to the edge of the pond, pleased when they offered the appropriate bows without prompting.
"We are sorry for trying to eat you, koi-sama's," Cho stated, nudging San until the smaller yōkai also mutter a half-way decent "Sorry."

Five's Original Apocalypse (aka the one he got stuck in) wasn't caused by the moon
I don't think it was caused by the moon/meteor hitting the earth like at the end of s1, I think it was an alternate apocalypse caused purely by Viktor's unrestrained powers.
The amount of destruction that the moon caused is disproportionate to the destruction we see in Five's apocalypse.
The moon fragment that hits earth is bigger than the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. The Chicxulub asteroid (type that into google to get a fun little animation!) measured roughly 15 kilometers wide, for reference, this is 15 kilometers:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's not even big enough to cover all of London or NYC. The crater it made was 10x that:
Tumblr media
looking at the size of the smaller moon asteroids, they seem roughly the right size (note that i am terrible at maths and will not be doing any science to reach this conclusion) based on the explosion size - and there's at least 13 of them. 13 dinosaur killers before the big fragment even gets close.
Tumblr media
using this guy's estimation, the larger fragment is a minimum of 100 km, which is more than 6x the size of the Chicxulub:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and guessing from the chicxulub crater, this crater would be 10x 100km = 1000km.
Tumblr media
which easily eats most of western europe or at least 12 states:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
which is more than an extinction event, it's The extinction event, possibly Earth's extinction.
it's not super clear what part of Earth the fragment hits, I think it lands somewhere in the pacific
Tumblr media
the strip of dotted lights leading from the bottom right meteor to the middle most meteor is likely California -> Mexico, with the Meteor hitting close to or the east of Hawaii (RIP Hawaiians)
I've said this recently but I think this shot, showing the earth getting wiped out in a fireball shockwave is of California's coast.

with the bright group at the bottom right being LA (where Claire lives) with the sticky out bit being Long Beach. and the bright group at the top being San Francisco with the blue strip being San Pablo Bay and San Francisco Bay
But my main reasoning (because this is a superhero show where u have to suspend ur disbelief) for why the moon wasn't the cause of the original apocalypse is this:
Vik didn't seem interested in ending the world. He was more interested in just playing in his orchestra until Luther and Diego tried to charge him.
He also doesn't do anything even related to the moon on purpose, rather he gets interrupted mid power use, seemingly causing his powers to rebound back into him which he is unable to contain/control causing all that pent up power to release in one strong stream. sort of like how water will, under pressure, release in a stream, but without it will trickle in the direction of least resistance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Five's apocalypse, Luther, Allison, Diego and Klaus all die fighting Leonard and Viktor before the world ends
Tumblr media
so with Viktor (presumably, unless Leonard survived having his eye socket ripped from his skull) as the last man standing, there's nothing to stop him from finishing his orchestra. which is what I think caused the end of the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Viktor's powers are already active before the orchestra begins, his eyes are white. Then as the hargreeves attack he begins to glow as he uses his powers not just to repel them, but to force the orchestra players to stay. But nobody's attacking him when his powers bleach him white, something they never do again. All he's doing is playing the violin, particularly, he's building up to the crescendo, if not at the crescendo when this happens. And soon after than, his powers begin to build in the surrounding area, with visible waves emanating from him.
So what I think the series of events were leading up to the original apocalypse, without Five's interferrance:
Luther, Diego, Allison and Klaus all play Reginald's murder mystery
Leonard finds the Red Book and begins manipulating Viktor
Leonard kills Helen Cho and Viktor gets first chair
Leonard's plan to trigger Viktor's powers by forcing him to watch his boyfriend get beaten up works but causes him to lose an eye
Leonard gets a prosthetic eye fitted
Viktor and Leonard return home for whatever reason - possibly to confront the Umbrella's with Viktor's new powers and learn their part in the cover up
Leonard is very obviously manipulating Viktor and using him to attack the Umbrellas, possibly even revealing his true motives
A fight breaks out causing Luther to rip Leonard's eye from the socket and for Viktor to crumble the entire building and kill Luther, Diego, Allison and Klaus
Viktor, pissed and betrayed, continues to attend his orchestra
Viktor's emotions doubled with his sound-controlled powers cause him to accidentally overload and destroy the world, but not destroy the moon in the process
We've seen Viktor do something similar in s2, in the FBI building. And while he was able to recover and only destroy one building, it was still an uncontrolled blast of power which wasn't even aided by Viktor's violin, complete with bleaching and new flight abilities.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We've also seen Viktor's powers kill people without any real root cause, complete with burned out eye sockets and withering bodies
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
but each time we see this element of his powers, he's interrupted before he can finish, so potentially, prolonged exposure to his life draining power could cause someone to end up looking charred
Tumblr media
(i personally think this body is leonard but that's neither here nor there)
whilst those who were already dead prior to the activation of Vik's energy draining beams, may not have taken much if any damage (as there is no life or ebbs of life left to take)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this also has the added bonus of not burning literally everything (the hargreeves' bodies included, as well as the multiple books and newspapers and the glass eye that Five owns in the apocalypse).
and without the asteroid impact there is no mega tsunami to worry about either (which, if it hit close to Hawaii, would flood the entire west coast of America at the very least.) no acid rain or nuclear winter obscuring the sun for years. no acidic oceans. and it won't take 1000 years for plants to come back (and seeing as Five is already seeing plants return a mere 45 years after, this kinda tracks).
so basically what I'm saying is, the apocalypse that Five grew up in is not the same apocalypse that Viktor caused at the end of s1. Five probably did have the moon present, which probably contributed to him not suspecting meteor or outer space origins for the apocalypse, but rather human based causes such as the owner of the eyeball.

Mori-Mori-Mori-Mori Morioh Cho Radio! This is your favourite neighbour Kai Harada! It's going to be a beautiful, sunny morning. Remember to bring hats and a bottle of water. I wish everyone a tasty coffee accompanied by the best songs from the top of playlists. We'll see you again in an hour. The topic of the day will be the mysterious disappearances of dogs. Stay with us!
Yoshikage Kira stretched. Satisfied, he reached for a cup of dark brown liquid. He took a sip of the pleasantly hot liquid. It burned his tongue a little but that's what he loved. He glanced at the clock. He still had a few minutes to go. As a decent office worker, he did not allow himself to be late.
He thought about what he heard on the radio. Undoubtedly, some stand user has just attracted attention. He smiled happily. This will only distract any attention from him. It was going to be another great day.
— Come on, honey — he said caressingly.
He grabbed a delicate hand, twisted his nose at the rotten stench. The hand was almost completely dead. He sprayed it with flower spray, grabbed his briefcase and left. He will have to find a new woman. But that could wait. Leaning out at this point could end badly. So he went to the office, hugging his beloved.
***
[Reader] rushed out the school door, clutching her bag tightly. She almost hit a young middle school student. She waited impatiently for the bell to ring and then she was detained after class. No matter how hard she tried, she was fifteen minutes late.
The heat in Morioh was becoming unbearable. The stronger the sun shone, the more tourists came. And that meant ice cream prices were going up. Recently, she and boys found a place where they could get them quite cheaply. In the afternoon, the best ones were often already sold out. Therefore, it was necessary to run as fast as possible.
— [Reader], what's taking you so long? — Okuyasu kicked a pebble impatiently.
— Were you attacked by an enemy stand? — Kōichi looked at her. — Just a moment and we would go looking for you.
— I'm fine. — She waved her hand dismissively. — It's all Kūjō-san's fault.
Higashikata smiled widely when he saw her. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek. He was slightly confused, as he always was when she showed him affection in public places. Immediately afterwards, however, he eagerly grabbed her hand and they headed towards the store.
— But what does Mr. Kūjō have to do with you being late? — Nijimura never thought too fast.
The only time he really shined was in fights. Apart from them, he couldn't be expected to handle something his brother always did for him. Now that he had only his father left, he had to rely on his friends. The girl sometimes wondered how he would cope without them.
However, JoJo immediately understood what she meant. He sighed softly and muttered the customary: Yare yare greato daze. He didn't like the situation they were in either. They couldn't do anything with it. As usual, it all came down to Yoshikage Kira and the danger hanging in the air.
— I was late because Shizuka-san asked me to set her up with Jōsuke. You have no idea how difficult it was to get her off. All because your uncle — she pointed an accusing finger at her boyfriend — forbade us to show anyone that we were together.
— I'd rather not hide it either — he admitted — but I guess we don't have a choice.
— You aren't hiding now. — Okuyasu scratched his head thoughtfully.
You could almost hear the gears turning in his mind.
— Because he was only talking about school, so technically we're not breaking the ban at all — [Reader] blurted out.
She high-fived her 'partner in crime'. They had always shared a clever way of dealing with life's awkward situations. Lately, it had come in handy more often than they would have liked.
The heat pouring from the sky was becoming more and more noticeable. She was glad to be walking on the side of the sidewalk where the trees sheltered her. On the right, JoJo was blocking the sun. With his height, he created a perfect shadow the entire way.
When they saw the store, they rushed towards it. There was a nice cool air conditioning coming from inside. For a moment they just stood and breathed in the beneficial, cold air.
— Who pays today? — Hirose asked the usual question.
The three of them turned their eyes towards Higashikata. It was his turn.
— I don't have money anymore. — He scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment.
— You've just won the lottery! What did you spend that money on? — The short friend looked at him in disbelief.
— My mother froze my account until I was an adult — he sighed.
One million six hundred and sixty-six thousand and six hundred and sixty-six yen had been floating around in his head for two weeks. It was useless to follow Shigechi across half the city. When he finally got the check, Tomoko said she wouldn't let him spend that much money. So he said goodbye to the vision of luxury.
— Fortunately, my father can't take my money. — Nijimura laughed and went inside with Kōichi.
The building was tiny. Four people couldn't fit in it. Maybe that's why the prices are so low. It's also possible that the old man behind the counter simply didn't know much about business.
The girl leaned against the building. There was no one on the street. Most people were at work at this time. Tourists marched to the beach, and school students returned home.
A quiet footstep broke the undisturbed silence. She glanced at the direction it was coming from. A tiny dog was running across the road. Luckily for it, there were no cars. It had a red collar that jingled softly with every step. The white chihuahua moved its paws as fast as it could.
It was only after a while that she noticed the owner chasing him. The breathless woman stopped in front of her. She recognized her as a distant neighbour. She was holding the leash. The hair on her head was already starting to turn gray. By wearing a pencil skirt and high boots, she doomed herself to failure. In such an outfit, she had no chance of catching the animal.
— Have you seen my dog? — she asked, then described his appearance.
JoJo nodded.
— It ran through here a moment ago. — He pointed in the direction.
— How did she get up so quickly? Where did he get so much strength from? — she muttered.
[Reader] exchanged a knowing look with Jōsuke. It wasn't right to leave her in need. There went the quiet afternoon.
— We might help you look for her? — she suggested.
— It would be great. Her name is Kiki. — She left her phone number and then ran away.
They had quite a run in the heat before them.
***
The girl sent Butterfly ahead. Sometimes she wished she could, like her boyfriend, just punch the enemy. The group of butterflies was great for searching and tracking. However, it could not replace the brutal strength that even Star Platinum had at its disposal. The Joestar family always said that power is only as good as its user. Yet throwing a colourful insect at someone could only disgust them. The only advantage was the distance at which she could control the stand. Fifty meters usually happened with self-controlled entities.
When she finally managed to pick up the trail, she followed him with Higashikata. The other two separated fifteen minutes ago, hoping to find Kiki on the other side of the intersection. They didn't want to waste time. Especially since the whole thing smelled strongly of mysterious disappearances of animals from the area. They called Mr. Kūjō from a nearby payphone to let him know how things were going, and went deeper into the forest.
At first the route looked promising. The wide, beaten path through the trees looked familiar. Sometimes they went for walks here. However, the further they went, the more they had to stray from the well-traveled trail. The soft ground was covered with green needles and moss. The trees cast ominous shadows among the low bushes. They grew more and more densely. The couple stopped running. It became impossible. They responded to every sound of a breaking branch or slight breeze with readiness to attack.
That's why they lost the dog again. She must have gotten far enough away that the butterflies couldn't see her. They came back and started circling around the owner.
So they continued heading in the direction Kiki had been heading before. Morioh is a small town. They should be able to walk through the forest within an hour and come out on the other side. As long as they don't get lost.
— Did you hear that? — [Reader] stopped for the first time in a long time.
She sincerely hoped her ears weren't deceiving her. The rustling of the leaves seemed to increase.
JoJo didn't answer. Slowly and quietly he looked around. He summoned Crazy Diamond and waited.
Butterfly flew forward and stopped nearby. A boar was roaming under one of the spreading trees. For a moment it seemed to be looking for food. It snorted quietly and put its snout to the ground. But when it raised its fangs, it turned towards the travelers. It was as if it had been looking for them all along.
— Back away slowly — she whispered, trying to get out of the boar's way.
But it didn't help. A war cry announced a murderous charge. Several dozen kilograms rushed towards them.
Jōsuke spotted a tree with low-growing branches. Without thinking, he started climbing, aided by his stand. [Reader] wasn't doing that well. The bark tore her fingers until they bled. She mentally cursed her stupid uniform skirt. That's why she was doing so poorly. The boy grabbed her hand just in time. Just after she had safely grabbed onto the thick trunk, the boar hit the wood. Splinters fell. The world staggered slightly for a moment.
— Crazy Diamond!
A purple fist met a brown snout. One attack wasn't enough. Slightly stunned, the animal turned and charged again. Higashikata waited for it to run up and then rained down a barrage of blows on it. It was moments like these that he regretted that his range was only two meters. He had to go lower, risking a close encounter with the fangs.
The tired, battered boar finally gave up. With its tail between its legs, it limped as far away as he could.
— Do you think they are under protection?
— Is that really what you're worried about now? — [Reader] laughed in disbelief.
— I don't have money for a fine. — He rubbed his temple thoughtfully.
Suddenly something white flashed in the bushes.
— Over there! — she shouted, pointing in the direction.
She clumsily slid down the tree and ran towards where she saw movement. She stepped straight into the mud almost immediately. Or at least that's what she preferred to think. She didn't want to assume the worst. Brown, smelly goo stuck to the shoe. Wiping the nasty stuff in the letter didn't do much good. She cursed quietly under her breath.
At least she finally found it.
— There you are, Kiki. — She slowly extended her hand towards her.
The Chihuahua tentatively sniffed her fingers. She nuzzled her trustingly. Satisfied, she took her in her arms. JoJo shouted something but she didn't hear him. She immediately felt a terrible pain in her ear. Blood flooded her eye. Instinctively she reached out her hand towards it. The red liquid was flowing at an alarming rate. Only then did she realize that the dog had bitten her.
— You damn…— She didn't finish the sentence.
The little enemy attacked the ankle. She didn't look down. She was afraid that she would throw up her breakfast at the sight of flesh.
Jōsuke caught Kiki struggling and healed her wounds with Crazy Diamond. However, the momentary peace did not last long. They saw a man in strange fur. Immediately afterwards, a snake rushed towards the boy with stunning speed. He managed to catch it but the two deadly fangs left tiny red wounds. It hurt. He knew he didn't have much time. He squeezed the reptile tightly. The stand user had no choice. He separated himself and stood before them. Higashikata held him by the throat to be sure. Enough that he couldn't move. However, this caused the animal to slip away and crawl away into the trees.
— Don't hurt me! — the enemy squeaked thinly. — You need me. Only I ca-ca-can bring him back. Without the antidote, you'll die from the v-v-venom — he stammered.
JoJo frowned. He always did this when he was worried. This didn't happen often. But now he wasn't sure what to do. He couldn't heal himself. This was the biggest drawback to his power. He had to endure every injury like a normal person.
— We don't need you at all — [Reader] said in a firm voice. — You didn't notice but I chased you to the edge of the forest.
The opponent looked back in panic.
— I also sent butterflies to find Kūjō-san. He'll be here in a minute and it's only ten minutes to the hospital. We'll make it. — She smiled defiantly.
— It can't be... you mean you did it when I was a wild boar? — His eyes widened.
— I'm the one asking the questions here. Who are you? Did Kira's father send you here? — [Reader] stuck her finger into his chest.
— My name is Ka-Ka-Kameko Hiroto — he sobbed. — Yoshihiro-san said I can do whatever I want. He called me a coward because I refused to kill people. I was too a-a-afraid.
The girl looked at him more closely. She seemed to recognize him from somewhere. However, the brown hair, small blue eyes and plain face brought no answer. In Morioh you knew almost everyone, unless they were tourists. The coat attracted the most attention. It consisted of fur pieces. Brown, black, white and gray. Dotted and spotted. They created a strange composition. The longer she looked, the more she felt sick. This is where all the missing dogs from Morioh were. He wore them as hideous clothes.
Hiroto had loved 'One Hundred and One Dalmatians' since he was a child. Every evening, his mother took a worn-out book from the shelf. There were also many others on the bookcase but she read this one to him every day. Otherwise, he simply wouldn't fall asleep. He knew the words by heart. He could recite them at every moment. Any time of day and night.
When he grew up, he started breeding fur ferrets. He studied hard, so he was accepted as an employee in a well-known and respected company. All this to look like Cruella De Vil, his idol. He wanted to create his own coat. Even if it couldn't be with white and black dots. However, it turned out that it was not that simple. He only managed to steal one piece of leather. The business was looked after with the greatest caution. He was fired pretty quickly for financial losses and animal abuse.
Bitter and angry, he moved to Morioh. The small, quiet town was supposed to give him peace. Here, where no one knew him, he decided to forget about his dream. He blended in with the crowd, toiling at the grocery store around the corner. He also rented a tiny apartment and found a fiancée. So he lived a normal life. Until fate gave him a chance — a stand that allowed him to take on the role of animals and control them. Desire overshadowed reason.
— Mercy! — he howled.
Kameko felt salty drops running down his face. Snot was coming out of his nose. He couldn't even wipe it off. He felt terrible. Until now, he had managed to reconcile his passion with the life of an average person. He was so close to achieving his goal and finishing the outfit he dreamed of. He hated the two people in front of him. He sincerely hoped they would die. If not now, then later, at the hands of the city's best assassin.
For a moment he wanted to beg for mercy again. After all, even if that little shit was bluffing, they were almost out of the forest. They outnumbered him. The situation is terrible. But through his tears, he saw his chance. It was floating a few meters away. He could barely contain the smile that spread across his lips.
— Loosen your grip! I'm choking! — he wheezed as hard as he could.
He knew it would work. He met JoJo once in a store. He was actually a soft man. Not like his creepy uncle. The only problem with him was that he never allowed you to owe a yen. He found this type of customer particularly annoying. It wouldn't save them if he let go sometimes. Because of it, he had to go to other cashiers. The brat probably had plenty of money anyway. After all, he was constantly buying hair care lotions. All the sprays and gels must have been quite an expense. Hiroto always thought it made no sense. The customer looked strange. He was wasting money.
— Just no tricks! — the boy warned him.
Kameko reached out with his mind towards a butterfly flying alone. Fate favored him by giving him this opportunity.
— Wild Animal! — He recalled his stand. — Bye, losers! Higashikata, someone must have hit you over the head once because you're a gullible idiot with a crap haircut! — He felt like he was on cloud nine shouting it.
Although he knew that he would not avoid abandoning Morioh but it was better than death. He will start over, somewhere far away. He will fly towards the blue sky and that's all they will see.
To his surprise, however, nothing happened. He should feel connected to his animal. Meanwhile, he was still stuck in Crazy Diamond's iron grip.
The girl held out her hand. The insect calmly sat on it.
— I had a feeling you might want to do that. Did you really think I would let any animal stay around? — The swallowtail butterfly flapped its wings. — I separated that butterfly from the group and changed its species while you weren't looking. You cannot bond with it because it is not a living organism. — She snapped her fingers. — Jōsuke, tell him something.
She saw that he wanted this very much. The Joestar family never left an opponent without a word. She found it funny but she didn't question the habits.
They had to hurry. The venom was slowly taking its toll. Beads of sweat ran down the back of his neck. His legs were starting to tremble slightly.
— First of all, you disrespected my girlfriend. — He pointed an accusing finger at him. — Secondly, you insulted my hair. This is unforgivable!
Crazy Diamond with a joyful Dora dora dora plunged his fist into Hiroto's face. There were screams, protests and pleas for help. However, they were of no use. After damaging his hair, Higashikata became extremely irritable. Blood was shed. It looked like it wouldn't end with a few broken teeth and a terribly bruised cheek.
However, he was interrupted by a quiet but firm voice:
— Yare yare daze.
In front of him, wearing his favourite hat, stood Mr. Kūjō. As always, he handled the situation with stoic calm. He didn't look happy.
JoJo breathed a sigh of relief when he saw him. It's true that he has to explain why he and [Reader] are together, since classes have ended a long time ago. However, he will deal with this later. The snake deprived him of his strength. He was barely holding himself together. After all, he could leave everything in the hands of others. He pushed his opponent into a tree. His head was now inside the trunk and his back was sticking out. Immediately after that, his strength left him and he fell to the ground.
Okuyasu and Hirose were the last to arrive. They panicked when they saw their friend's condition. They offered to watch the bastard until the Speedwagon Foundation took him over. They had no doubt that the Star Platinum user would be better able to transport the patient to Budogaoka Hospital. They also called Kiki's owner.
[Reader] shuffled after the older man.
— Don't look at me like that. It's embarrassing — she muttered.
She still couldn't understand how he was so different from the boy he carried on his back. It was hard to read anything in his eyes. No emotions.
— Good job — he said quietly.
She smiled. You couldn't count on more from him.
— But will we still get the lecture? — she asked.
There was a slight chance that they would get away with it. She allowed herself to dream.
— Yare yare daze.
— So we're screwed. — Resigned, she left the forest.
She looked up. The sun was already setting on the horizon. Purple mixed with pink, orange and yellow. The colours painted a beautiful picture. The heat of the day slowly faded away. A light sea breeze blew invitingly. Tourists covered in sand were returning from the beach. They gave her curious glances but said nothing. But the neighbours picked her up faster than she would have liked to tend to her remaining wounds. She had to leave her boyfriend in the hands of her uncle. However, she had no doubt that they would soon be able to spend a quiet afternoon with their friends. She was going to get the ice cream on sale no matter what.
Still, it was a good day in a crazy, noisy, bizzare town.

Translation of Sakurai Sho's interview with artisan Takeshi Matsunaga.
14 years after the nuclear accident... Traditional crafts in Namie-cho, Fukushima: a former shop is now an "earthquake legacy".
On 3 March 2025, i visited 36-year-old Takeshi Matsunaga-san. He was given a tour of the town of Namie, Fukushima Prefecture, where he used to live.
Sakurai: -"Beyond this point is a hard-to-reach area..."
Takeshi Matsunaga (36), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter at "Ohori Soma Pottery":- "This path is a difficult zone, and people cannot enter it without permission...".
Fourteen years later, the evacuation order is still in place in some areas, but in 2023 it was finally lifted in the area where Takeshi's family home was located.
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"This is my "parents house" where i lived until high school."
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter at "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"This is what happens when people don't live here for fourteen years." Sakurai:-"It's getting so rough..."
The glass was broken, things were scattered around the room, but the items that were used at the time were left in place.
This is the building standing next to it.
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"This was originally a shop where pottery was sold."
Sakurai:-"So it's really as it was.’
This location used to be the shop of "Matsunaga Kiln", a traditional pottery shop of "Ohori Soma" in Namie town.
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation potter of the Matsunaga Kiln of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"It wasn't because of the shaking, but because there was no one there for fourteen years, boars and roe deer got in, trashed it and made it like this...."
Looking round the shop.
-Sakurai:-"Is this the trail?"
-Takeshi Matsunaga, 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter at "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"These aren't human footprints, right?"
-Sakurai:-"Indeed..."
In 2023, Takeshi-san set foot in this area for the first time since the earthquake.
-Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"It was shocking. At first i couldn't see it, but i thought i had to face it, and i wanted to leave this legacy for the next generation."
He decided to keep this place as a remnant of the earthquake to preserve the memories and lessons of that time.
Sakurai:-"Why did you decide to leave it behind?"
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"Most of the houses in the area were demolished. Then you can't explain what happened." "In Namie City and the three Tohoku prefectures affected by the tsunami, there are remains, but nothing to tell us about the nuclear power plant accident."
They are preparing to open it to the public at the end of March. Sakurai:-"Who would you like to show your work to?"
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"The generation that doesn't know about 3.11, the younger generation, people who will be born in the future because their memory is fading away...’" "I want people to feel the smells and the atmosphere of the event, which cannot be conveyed in a photo or video."
Due to the nuclear accident, the Matsunaga Furnace now operates in the village of Nishigo, about eighty kilometres from Namie town.
Sakurai:-"This is really beautiful pottery."
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"This is a traditional craft that has lasted for three hundred years."
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":- "It has a two-layer structure, so it's not hot to the touch when hot tea is brewed."
Ohori Soma-yaki pottery comes from Namie City in Fukushima Prefecture. It is characterised by its "double-firing" and unique "cracked pattern."
His father, Kazuo, opened the kiln. There was a "certain sound."
-Sakurai:-"Like a bell ringing..."
The sound is believed to be the tiny cracks in heated pottery as it cools and shrinks in contact with the outside air.
The sleeve chemicals used to create these cracks were also affected by the nuclear accident.
Takeshi Matsunaga(36 years old), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"Originally, local magnetite stone was used to make this yuzu medicine, but the nuclear accident made it unusable."
The mining site is in an inaccessible area, so the raw material cannot be exported and even now the local soil and stones cannot be utilised. This year, however, there has been a shift.
In January, the Rehabilitation Agency began researching the "mining stone" and other materials found in Namie town. It is expected that they can be reused. - Kazuo Matsunaga(76 years old), 3rd generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"After all, it would be very nice if we could use original local products."
- Sakurai:-‘’Ohori Soma-yaki made from local materials"-that's the most important or valuable part."
Initially, Takeshi had no intention of taking over the family business, but after the earthquake, he suggested that his father work together to rebuild the Ohori Soma pottery workshop.
- Sakurai:-"Is a nuclear accident a big shock?"
- Kazuo Matsunaga(76), 3rd generation Matsunaga kiln potter of "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"With mixed feelings, i expected my generation to end, but the nuclear accident brought us back together."
Samurai are driven by a desire to "keep tradition alive" and a desire to "preserve the memory of the city."
Takeshi Matsunaga(36), 4th generation Matsunaga kiln potter at "Ohori Soma Pottery":-"I never thought that my hometown would be a place i could never return to, so in a way this event has changed my life, but i want to look at it positively and move on. Hopefully i can do something to reach out to the people of Namie, where the evacuation order was cancelled."

Cho Eiyuu Sai 2025
The irony of the show starting with a warning against piracy when most people who got this went "yo hoi hoi" ala Zox Goldtsuiker
The only place where Sentai and Riders who have no business meeting in canon interact (Gotchard hugging ShinkenRed while they pump a crowd up along to the singing of the Gochizou)...
...Did they get Chris Peppler back because that sounded like Belt-san saying "Welcome to Cho Eiyuu Sai"?? Or maybe it was a sound clip from when Drive was the one on air
It's such a small thing but I'm so happy they didn't leave Gai out in the Gokaiger OP even after the whole thing with Junya Ikeda... The actor may not be a great man but Gai still is a hero to all of us :))
Milking Kohei Shoji's appearance for all it is worth to include him in the Kirameiger OP... and all he basically had to was show up in Takamichi costume and lay provocatively on the floor lmaoooo
HapiPare trio doing their image songs!!
Having the Kamen Rider Girls sing Saite (Fourze's graduation song) right before BACK-ON does Graduations (Gotchard's) *chef's kiss* <- pointedly ignoring the Geats song in between because I'm petty
Beverly my beloved (and fellow Pinay), you never cease to amaze me
Psychic Lover also my beloved, your OPs never fail to be absolute bangers
Vram pushing Gavv away when he tries to persuade him to do the Got Boost dance... then doing it anyway lmaoooo
Gavv Cast tossing candy to the crowds, because of course 😂
Seeing big acts like Flow and Fantastics on stage doing the finale song for Cho Eiyuu Sai is still so surreal
And last but not least... Yusuke Hino referring to the walking in on Shouma with Lakia/Shouma Granute reveal scene as "netorare" live on stage. What would we ChocoGummy shippers do without our Captain Hino
These shows are magic, I tell you. Magic.

"I've never noticed it before, it's cute"
Tumblr media
Summary: You seem to notice a habit of theirs you've never seen before
(Hyun ju, Thanos, Nam Gyu, Young Il, Dae Ho, Min Su, Sang Woo, Jae Won, Choi San, Seo Wan)
CHO HYUN JU
Tumblr media
You were sitting together on the couch, the warm evening light streaming through the windows. Hyun-Ju was reading a book, her legs tucked underneath her. Every now and then, she’d absentmindedly reach up and twirl a strand of hair around her finger. It was a habit that you hadn't really paid attention to before, but tonight, it stood out. "Hyun-Ju," you said softly, breaking her concentration. "I've never noticed that before.
"She looked up, a little confused. "You keep twirling your hair," you smiled, watching her fingers move slowly and rhythmically. "It's cute."
Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she dropped her hand, slightly embarrassed. "Oh, uh, I guess I do it when I’m thinking. It helps me focus." You grinned. "Well, it’s adorable."
She laughed softly, her fingers brushing against her hair self-consciously. "I’ll try to stop."
"Don’t," you said, leaning in to kiss her cheek. "It’s one of the things I love about you."
THANOS
Tumblr media
The two of you were hanging out at home, enjoying the quiet evening after a long week. You were curled up on the couch, watching an old movie, but every few minutes, you’d glance over at Thanos, who was sprawled across the chair with a slight frown on his face. You noticed he kept tapping his fingers on the armrest in a steady rhythm. The sound was subtle, almost unnoticeable unless you were paying attention, but something about it felt oddly comforting.
"You tap your fingers a lot," you said with a smirk, not sure if he even realized it himself.
Thanos stopped, his hand frozen in mid-air. "I do?"
"Yeah," you grinned, sitting up a bit. "It's cute, though. Like you’re lost in thought."
He blinked at you, his expression softening. "I guess it’s just something I do when I’m thinking. I never really noticed." You chuckled, "Well, now you have someone to notice it."
He smiled faintly, his thumb running over the armrest again. "Guess I’ll have to be more conscious of it."
"I like it," you said, leaning closer. "It's endearing."
NAMGYU
Tumblr media
You and Nam-Gyu were sitting in the kitchen, enjoying a quiet breakfast together. As you sipped your coffee, you noticed something he did every morning without fail—he always lined up his coffee cup, spoon, and napkin perfectly on the table before eating. You raised an eyebrow. "I've never noticed that before," you said with a smile, watching him carefully adjust everything, even though it was already in perfect order.
Nam-Gyu looked up, a bit startled. "Oh, um… I guess it’s a habit," he admitted, glancing at his own neat arrangement.
"It’s cute," you said, reaching over to nudge his shoulder lightly. "It’s like you’re preparing for a perfect day."
He smiled, his usual stoic expression softening a little. "I guess I like things organized. Helps me focus."
"Well, it makes everything feel a little more... calm,"
YOUNG IL
Tumblr media
Young-Il was pacing around the living room, deep in thought about something you weren't quite sure of. You'd noticed that whenever he was deep in concentration, he would always pull at the edge of his shirt, gently tugging it as if it helped him think. "You always do that," you commented, half-amused. "Pull at the edge of your shirt like it's your anchor or something.
"He looked down at his shirt, slightly embarrassed. "Oh, I didn’t realize. It’s just a thing I do when I’m thinking."
"It’s cute," you said, giving him a warm smile. "Like a little nervous habit."
He chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "I didn’t know I was so obvious."
"You’re not," you reassured him. "It’s just one of those little things I notice about you"
GI HUN
Tumblr media
Gi-Hun was lying on the couch, mindlessly flipping through channels when you noticed something. Every time he sat down to relax, he always kicked off his shoes in the exact same way: lifting one leg and casually tossing them off his feet as if they were an afterthought.
You chuckled, drawing his attention. "I’ve never noticed that before. You always kick your shoes off in the same exact way.
"Gi-Hun looked down at his shoes and grinned sheepishly. "It’s a bad habit, I guess. I’m too lazy to put them away properly."
You shook your head with a laugh. "It's cute, though. Like you're always so relaxed, even in the little things.
"Gi-Hun laughed, kicking his shoes to the side. "I like that you think it's cute."
DAE HO
Tumblr media
It was a quiet evening, and you were sitting together at the kitchen table, playing a card game. Dae-Ho, ever the focused player, had the strange habit of biting his lower lip whenever he was deep in thought. You smiled, your gaze softening as you watched him concentrate. "I’ve never noticed that before. You bite your lip when you're thinking hard, don’t you?"
Dae-Ho froze, his hand still holding the card. "Oh… I didn’t realize." His cheeks flushed slightly, and he quickly looked away, a little embarrassed.
"It’s cute," you teased, leaning over and gently tapping his nose. "I think it makes you look even more focused."
He laughed softly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I’ll try to be more aware of it… though I don’t know if I can stop now."
"Don't stop," you whispered. "I love it."
MIN SU
Tumblr media
Min-Su was sitting beside you, quietly folding laundry when you caught him humming a soft melody under his breath. It wasn’t the first time he did it, but today, it caught your attention.
"You hum when you fold laundry?" you asked, grinning. "I’ve never noticed that before."
Min-Su looked up, startled. "Oh, I… guess I do. It’s just a habit. Helps me stay calm.
"You chuckled, leaning your head on his shoulder. "It’s cute. Like you’ve got your own little rhythm to everything."
He smiled softly, continuing to fold the clothes with a gentle hum. "I like that you think so."
SANG WOO
Tumblr media
Sang-Woo was sitting at the desk, typing away at something on his laptop when you noticed something familiar. He always had a pen in his hand, absentmindedly twirling it between his fingers, never putting it down while he worked.
"I've never noticed that before," you said, your eyes on his focused hand. "You always twirl that pen when you work."
Sang-Woo stopped, glancing at the pen in his hand. "Huh. I guess I never realized. It’s kind of a habit I’ve had for a long time."
"It’s cute," you said, smiling at the way his fingers effortlessly flipped the pen around. "It’s like you need that little bit of movement to concentrate."
He raised an eyebrow. "Is it that obvious?"
"Not obvious," you teased. "Just cute."
ROH JAE WON
Tumblr media
You were sitting on the couch, reading a book, while Jae-Won paced back and forth. He had a strange habit of running his hand through his hair whenever he was deep in thought, sometimes doing it repeatedly.
You couldn’t help but smile. "I've never noticed that before. You run your hand through your hair a lot when you’re thinking."
Jae-Won froze mid-step, realizing what you meant. "Oh… I do that when I'm trying to figure something out."
"It’s cute," you said, putting down your book and catching his gaze. "It’s like you can’t help but fix things, even if it’s just your hair."
He smiled sheepishly. "I guess I do it more than I realize."
"Well, I like it," you added, a teasing note in your voice. "It’s endearing."
CHOI SAN
Tumblr media
San was sitting with you on the porch, sipping on his drink. You noticed he had a habit of tapping the rim of his cup gently with his finger when he was thinking, a soft rhythm that was oddly soothing.
"I’ve never noticed that before," you said, watching him absentmindedly tap the cup. "You tap your cup when you're lost in thought, huh?"
He blinked, looking at his cup as if he hadn’t realized. "Yeah, I guess I do. It’s just something I do without thinking."
"It’s cute," you said with a soft laugh. "It’s like you’re setting the pace for your thoughts."
San smiled, his expression softening. "I’ll try to be more aware of it, but… I kind of like it."-
KIM SEO WAN
Tumblr media
Kim Seo-Wan was sitting on the floor of his hospital room, lost in a world of his own as he muttered to himself. He was still delusional, thinking he was in a fantasy realm full of dragons to slay. But you noticed that whenever he was “tracking” one of his dragons, he would drag his hand slowly through the air, almost like he was following their movement.
"Seo-Wan," you said gently, drawing his attention. "I’ve never noticed that before. You follow the dragons with your hands."
He blinked at you, his eyes slightly wide. "I… I do? It helps me track them, so I can—"
"I think it’s cute," you interrupted with a soft smile. "Even if it’s all part of your adventure, it’s still kind of adorable."
Seo-Wan’s face softened, a confused but pleased smile forming on his lips. "You think so?"
"Yeah," you nodded. "I do."

youtube
TV Tokyo has introduced a new show in August named Game Majimesan, which translates roughly into Serious Gamers. In each edition, a famous idol is invited to sit down and play a videogame in a luxury hotel location. Previous episodes featured games like Metal Gear Solid 3, Okami and Shenmue.
For this fifth episode, Aki Suda from the idol grouo Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu is invited to play Ico. The show documents her progress, alternating with segments of an interview with Tadashi Miyokawa, Famitsu.com's editor-in-chief.
This video is offered without subtitles. If I find the time, I will try to translate Miyokawa-San's commentary as that is arguably the most interesting aspect of the show. Meanwhile, if this sort of program interests you, you can follow their official social media page.
