estelle is always busy. she doesn't have a moment of peace and for herself. first, she has to go to charms. in the break, she has to help that first year find her her class. she has this to do, and that to do and no moment of goddamn peace

the worst part is that she doesn't even have the time to just be lazy because emmeline got stuck in the broom closet... again. marshall has once again has been hexed by cereus (of course, what else would she do? not hex her friends??) tilden is in detention and in desperate need of estelle bailing him out, and God knows where carmen is (probably snogging emma... ew)

all she wants is one god-forsaken minute of peace... who would've guessed marcelina mina would be the reason she gets it?

There were a few things that Edgar required to take him, he also took it upon himself to check in with the younger order members. It was his family, and knowing how they were doing was important to the older wizard. At the same time, it made him feel old. There was also the fact it gave him the opportunity to not thing about the mess that was his life.

A hand pushes the door open, glancing around until they fell onto the wizard in question. "Tilden." A smile on his face. "I need to stock up on a few items, think you can help me?"

BIOGRAPHY:

Tilden had always been encouraged to be himself. Both of his mothers loved and accepted everything about their little one, even when he chose a different name and changed his pronouns. He had been exposed to anything he’d shown an interest in, from gardening to football and everything in between. Although he had two left feet and knew he’d never grow up to be a star footballer, he still had fun and in the end, that was all that mattered. Making friends was hard, kids could be incredibly cruel. Karma found its way back to them, with kids' shoes tying themselves together out of nowhere, kind of like magic.

The arrival of his Hogwarts Letter came as a surprise to everybody. The little family didn’t know that magic even existed, but they were over the moon and of course encouraged Tilden to embrace this side of him. His school list wasn’t right, though, with his name being listed as Tulip and his uniform requiring skirts. Thankfully his mum’s purchased him trousers instead, knowing he would be much more comfortable wearing pants. If the school had a problem with it, they could take it up with his parents. The school didn’t have any problems with it, and in fact, the school embraced Tilden for exactly who he was. On his first day when he attempted to enter the girls dormitory, the stairs turned into a slide and wouldn’t let him in. Although he was scared he may have to go back home, thinking he didn’t really belong, an older student asked him to try going into the boys dorm instead. The boys dorm would be his home away from home for the next seven years.

Hufflepuff was exactly the place that Tilden belonged. It took a bit of time for him to find his footing, but most of his classmates were nice enough to him, unlike the kids back at muggle school. He hadn’t done particularly well in any of his classes during his first few years, as he spent much time in the hospital wing. The healers at the school helped Tilden with his transition, using magic to change certain physical attributes in order to make him feel more comfortable in his own skin. By his fourth year, Tilden’s outward appearance matched what he’d always seen in his own head and his confidence grew a great deal.

Tilden had never been very good on a broom, but he’d always admired Quidditch. It was similar enough to football that it was able to capture his attention from the moment he’d learned about it. Finally deciding to try out for Keeper of the House Team, Tilden failed miserably. But he didn’t let it bother him, laughing it off as he slipped off his broom. His new-found confidence and goofy personality did catch the attention of Professor McGonagall, though, and Tilden was asked to start announcing Quidditch games. He was quite shy, and the thought of speaking in front of so many people nearly made him faint, but he accepted anyway and he absolutely thrived. He had the voice for radio, he’d been told time and time again, and he had so much fun with the announcements.

Because of his poor coordination, magic wasn’t something that came easy to him. Using his wand was quite difficult, but he’d always been good with more hands-on types of magic. Herbology, as he’d been gardening since he was young, and potions came easier to him, as well. Because of those skills, Tilden managed to land a job at Dogweed and Deathcap. He was happy to be working with plants, and being so close to Hogwarts made him feel incredibly safe during the war. He was always surrounded by people and aurors working in Hogsmeade, and it gave him the opportunity to continue to see his favourite professors, and be a good influence on the Hogwarts students that visited the shop.

He couldn’t help but to miss his time as Quidditch announcer, so when the Wizarding Wireless Network posted a sign saying they had an opening, Tilden took it. It was one hour a week that he could fill with anything he’d like. Sticking with what he knew, Toots, Shoots n Roots came to fruition. One hour a week of Tilden taking calls and answering herbology related questions, it gave him the satisfaction he was craving.

With the war now over, Tilden’s life hadn’t changed much. He was still working in Hogsmeade and hosting his radio show. He felt more confident visiting his parents now that they weren’t in danger. He was rather satisfied with how things had worked out for him, all he wanted now was to settle down and start a family.

Perhaps the girl should take her nose out of her books and notice what's right in front of her. Can't he brew a potion for that, or something?

CHARACTER SUMMARY:

Born as Tulip Toots, Tilden learned at a very young age that he definitely was not a girl. Always preferring to wear trousers over dresses, keep his hair short, and be referred to by his chosen name. Having two mums helped him feel more comfortable with being himself and Tilden was accepted for exactly who he was, no questions asked.

A Hogwarts letter arriving was a shock to the little family, but Tilden had always been different. It was very exciting for them all to visit Diagon Alley for the first time, to choose Tilden’s robes and wand. It was a brand new experience for him, but he loved every second of it.

Hufflepuff was the obvious choice for the boy with a green thumb. He fit in well with his fellow Puffs, but had a few instances of bullying from other houses. This left Tilden to be quite introverted, only opening up to those he knew he could trust. He did fairly well in his classes, but excelled in Herbology and Potions.

After graduating, Tilden landed a job at Slug & Jiggers Apothecary as a potioneer. It was an interesting job, getting to know regular customers from all walks of life. He became quite close to the owner, never really having a father figure in his life, Tilden learned a lot from him. When the previous owner passed, the Apothecary was left to Tilden.

Having quite a bit of alone time, Tilden grew quite used to talking to himself. His true friends were few and far between, and there were only a handful of people he could confidently speak in front of. After reading aloud to himself frequently and talking to himself in the shop as a sort of reminder to himself, Tilden felt it made sense that he applied to be a radio host on a whim. It wasn’t like him to volunteer for such a thing, but he had extensive knowledge on Herbology and he got to sit alone in a booth for an hour talking about his passion, so it seemed to make sense.

Tilden remained neutral during the war. Being a muggleborn, of course he wanted to ensure the safety of others like him, but he cared more about his own safety. Selling potions and ingredients to both Order members and Death Eaters, Tilden had to remain friendly to everyone that entered the doors.

With the war over, Tilden’s business wasn’t thriving like it once was. But this was his passion, and he wasn’t going to give it up.

"Daisy!" Tilden called out as he opened up the bathroom door, stepping out in his party outfit. "Can you help me with this harness thing? I haven't a clue how to do it." He chuckled softly as he took a few steps around the corner to the living room, eyes growing slightly wide at the sight of her wearing nothing but black lingerie along with one of his button-down shirts. He was left speechless for a moment before his head shook slightly, not wanting to make any comments on her appearance, worried he would either say something inappropriate or something that may hurt her feelings.
