I mean it sounds kind of miserable, being raised your whole life to be solely relied on for one moment… and then what? How do you handle the sudden shift to ‘not being needed anymore’? Evidently, most of them didn’t have very much happen to them after the events of their games since we don’t get to know—

Again Thame is unintentionally healing Po. He’s healing his past wounds. Thame already knows that Po is an overthinker, so he went into the phone conversation apologizing for not prioritizing Po’s feelings. He wanted Po to know how important he is to him, and not just because Po is helping him bring his group back together. He wanted Po to know he wants to get close to him. Thame is making Po feel love again after his ex treated him like shit. Po is literally twirling his hair and kicking his feet because Thame learned his favorite song for him. And all of this is happening before their dating era.

It's really freeing when you learn that rationality isn't going to be feasible in the long run, not because rationality is this thing that only Truly Enlightened people get the privilege to experience, but because humans are just irrational.

You can know when you're being irrational, and sometimes, it is in big ways. But pretending like that irrationality doesn't exist or can only exist if you're "stupid" only sets you back from growing. Irrationality is part of the human condition - it is impossible to actually be this enlightened person people like to project themselves onto.

Something interesting I thought about watching Ralph Breaks the Internet the other day; when Ralph goes to BuzzzTube in order to get views to earn money, some of the viewers comment on Ralph being that old arcade character. I questioned this originally because you'd think Wreck-It Ralph would have gone on to make a name fir himself like Donkey Kong did, but instead the movie makes it sound like Ralph only ever had the one arcade game and that's it.

After thinking it over it occurred to me: I don't think most people (adults especially) know that Donkey Kong is a franchise, if kids went and asked their parents if they know who Donkey Kong is, chances are they will just say he's that arcade game gorilla. So in a way the movie is staying true to how most people forget that Donkey Kong went on to make a name for himself in his own series of games as well as guest appearances in other games like Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Super Smash Bros.

That said, it would have still been cool if the movie did add in lore to their games suggesting they went down a similar path that Mario did; Felix stars in his own series of games similar to Mario Bros. Mario World, Mario 64, etc. While Ralph went on to do the Country games, Sugar Rush became Mario Kart and maybe the characters actually made crossovers with other games. (And I don't just mean Kingdom Hearts)

He taps it on his knee in the taxi home, he whispers it under his breath as he lines up his shoes by the door, and he has to stop mumbling it when he brushes his teeth, so he hums it at the mirror instead. The person staring back at him looks a little weird – like he’s having trouble not smiling.

“Actually, I was about to text you,” Po had said, earlier that evening at the suit shop, right after Thame had stopped reciting Po’s phone number out loud. Po had had this look on his face that was- Really nice. Sort of wide-eyed, in the same way Thame feels every time he learns anything new about the person Po really is.

Thinking about how talking isn't his default method of communication (it used to be his less sheltered expressive nature) it used to be the way his hands moved to also help get his points across. Being around people who knew how to communicate+ chose to do so how worked best for him.

Steb's frustration, anger with people expecting him to talk *especially piltoverian and it becoming more of a constant "need" re: demanded expectation. What was already usually for people's benefit, or manageable as needed+enjoyed during tending to people's wounds became that much more sour.

-He doesn't mind adapting especially to the need of a patient he's treating but as much a good rapport can be, he often enjoys the fresh air of to the point/talking minimally. (sucker for prompting people to talk about passionate subjects though, will always ask further questions because of course he is listening & paying attention)

-Where one might write, or make a small muttered note to themselves he usually signs it to himself+ so very often if he wants to complain about something he leans into zaunite sign language (it's the best for lamenting the enforcer part of his job and he stands by that)
