7, 15, and 22 for Mar, please :]]
Ask and you shall receive!
7. Are they a fighter or a lover?
Depends on who's askin'! Really though, very much a fighter, in most cases, and a quick tempered one at that. Well, unless someone actually manages to get close to her (rare), then they unlock her secret Lovebug perk.
15. Tropes, tropes, tropes! Do any come into mind for this character? Or do they subvert any?
Huge Reluctant Hero energy up in here - girlie is not a huge fan of this whole "Savior of Nirn" crap, she just wanted to make a little booze money! Straight up refuses to use the Thu'um once the dragon mess is under control and she leaves the province a few years later. Also gives off some major dumb jock vibes sometimes - she was... never the best student, aside from an odd talent with languages. Left formal schooling at 15 and never wanted to go back!
22. Ignoring time, what Elder Scrolls NPC would they get along with the most? Or the worst?
Best? She and Roggi Knot-Beard would be fantastic drinking buddies, not gonna lie, even if she'll never get the fascination with mead. Hits it off with Delvin as well, just likes his vibe.
(I have Skyrim brain atm and keep drawing blanks on guys from other games lol)
Worst? If she could go back in time and slit Tiber Septim's throat, she would in a heartbeat. She doesn't give two shits about the whole can-a-man-be-a-god thing, she just thinks (rightly) he was a piece of shit that, human or not, doesn't deserve godhood.
She would also neuter Crassius Curio if he tried to pull what he does in Morrowind on her lmao (she still secretly likes his books tho)

20 Questions for Writers
Got tagged by both @throughtrialbyfire and by @redyn-nerevarine to do this fun questionnaire. Thanks for tagging me. :D
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
I currently have 9, though one of them is a collection of first person character studies that are technically each a separate story.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
274,802... thats a lot considering I only started writing a year ago.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Exclusively Elder Scrolls atm, Mostly focusing on Morrowind.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Serious Mistakes, Sleepers Awake, Adherence, On Apocrypha, The Properties of Ash Hoppers and Slaughterfish.
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try to, though sometimes I get too overwhelmed by what to say and subsequently forget to reply. I swear if that has happened it's not because I don't appreciate them, I do, I'm just really sick atm and don't have a lot of energy to formulate a decent reply that isn't <3 <3 <3. I do try to reply.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
...Oh that's hard, all of them are like that. Adherence might take the cake though.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I don't write happy.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I don't want to get to into it, but I did experience it once. It was pathetic on their end and I'd rather forget it.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I have included smut within fics, though I've never written one with that as the focus....that I've published. My kinks stay secret...
10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what's the craziest one you've written?
Never quite been a fan of crossovers to be honest. I'm also not so into isekai as a genre. So it's unlikely I'd ever dabble in it.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
It's in the works ;)
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Arg, it's 100% Josh and Erra . Give me my dumb cinnamon roll Ashlander OC and my kidnapped Skyrim NPC/ Nerevarine who I OCafied to a ridiculous degree any day and I am happy. Erra is a friend group favourite.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have a pov from Joshi's father that I'm so close to finishing but I need to be in the mood to write 1st person.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I don't know to be honest, I have trouble with these kinds of questions.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm a new writer, only really started up with writing fan fiction last year. I still have a lot to learn.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
If done well it's great. I love seeing Dunmeris being used within fics. I use a lot of Ashland, which I've compiled using the Akkadian and Sumerian languages as a the root with some Dunmeris mixed in. Assyiology has its benefits- namely I can pick up half the shit going on in Morrowind and Chimeris ;)
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Trinity Blood. (I made a comic as a teen that never actually put that online).
20. Favorite fic you've written?
A tie between Sleepers Awake (ongoing, main Morrowind fic) and Arkanis: Teldryn (which covers Teldryn (Josh) going through Kogoruhn as part of the Warrior Trial for Sul-Matuul.)

Please answer any or all of the Skyrim ask game questions you want! I want to hear whatever you're willing to tell me!
Oh my god Emily you can't be doing this to me /j
Welp, here goes!
-
Helgen - Who was your first Skyrim character? Do you still make anything with them/play as them now?
My first Skyrim character is actually 2 different characters. If by "first" you mean the first character I made from the character creation, it would be a male Argonian named Adrastea (yes named after my dragonsona). But if by "first" you mean the first character that completed the main quest, it was a male Khajiit named Draqanar.
I talked about this in my inpiration behind my tes ocs post, so do check that out!
Riverwood - Hadvar or Ralof? Why?
Hadvar. Honestly I only chose Hadvar because in my first time playing, at the opening scene in Helgen, I was so overwhelmed by whatever the fuck was happening around me and just chose to follow the first NPC I saw in front of me, which happened to be Hadvar.
Whiterun - Do you tend to do Bleak Falls Barrow before or after meeting with Farengar?
Usually I visit BFB before going to Whiterun, by triggering Lucan Valerius' quest in Riverwood trader. Saves me some time because I don't have to go to Riverwood, go to Whiterun and go back to Riverwood again. Although, from a lore/story standpoint, I think Bethesda intended the players to go to BFB after meeting Farengar. Which I find to be more immersive.
Ivarstead - How do you feel about the Greybeards and Paarthurnax?
Cool chill old men and cool chill old dragon! I could never side with Delphine again after she tells me to kill grandpaarth. Luckily I've found a way to get around that.
I do wish Bethesda did a bit more with them though, like why can't I talk about Miraak with Arngeir or Paarthurnax? I hope there will be some mods to address that. We have voice synthesizer tools now like xVASynth and ElevenLabs, so I'm just waiting for someone to take one for the team and create a mod like that.
Morthal - Do you enjoy exploring dungeons and ruins? Why or why not?
Matter of fact, I do! Especially when it's night time, because 90% of my characters are stealth snipers. I embrace the darkness like a friend. It's even more satisfying when using mods that let me one shot kill enemies via headshots. One of my favorite shootout places is Treva's Watch, there's a stony cliff just across the river that makes perfect sniping position. I love it.
Kynesgrove - What's your favorite non-major city/town/settlement?
I don't know if I have one. Riverwood and Dragon Bridge both are nice, but I don't really feel any particular attachment to them, or any minor settlements. My favorite place has just been Whiterun since the beginning.
Markarth - If you could rewrite one questline in Skyrim, which would it be?
Dragonborn DLC. Initially I didn't have problems with it, but like I mentioned before, there's almost no connection between Miraak's story and the Greybeard's and Paarthurnax's acknowledgement. We could just settle with "Miraak was so terrible that Arngeir and Paarth don't want to talk about him" reasoning, but then so was the Dragonrend shout. And they had dialogue options about it.
Idk, it's just subpar to me after repeated playthroughs. Deep down I feel like Bethesda only made that DLC for the sake of wanting to give Morrowind fans nostalgia.
But I do have to give them credit for one thing, and that is this music:
youtube
See I've never played Morrowind before Skyrim. But when this music hits, it made me feel all fuzzy. Like "wow this is very Morrowindy." And it is, because it's original TES3: Morrowind soundtrack. I think it's a powerful moment when a music can convey a message even to those who have no prior experience. Good stuff.
Blackreach - What's your favorite enemy in the game? What's your least favorite? Why?
Favorite enemy actually I think was Harkon in the Dawnguard DLC. Really the game forces you to wield Auriel's Bow to defeat him (well, probably not, but I don't see how you can beat him otherwise, esp without Sunhallowed arrows). I'm already an experienced virtual archer before Dawnguard. Watching him disintegrate to blood red messy dust pile at the end was gratifying.
Least favorite is any dragon priest (Vokun, Krosis, etc). If you've had experience trying to fight dragon priests as an archer, you'll know that their hitbox is absolute dogshit. Arrows have a large tendency to just pass through them without doing damage. I've been scouring the internet trying to find a mod that fixes their hitbox but nothing has turned up yet. Nowadays I use TK Dodge RE to make the fight a bit fairer.
Throat of the World - How do you feel about "Season Unending"?
Oh God, where to start? Imperials and Stormcloaks. These two care more about the defeat of the other, more than the fate of the mortal realm. I hate it. And there's no way to make both sides like your decision either, no matter which options you choose, even the ones that you think are the fairest options.
I tend to side with the Empire. Not that that's saying much, because around 2022 I learned that both sides are equally shitty. Scylla and Charybdis situation, I suppose.
There's only one good Season Unending, this one:
youtube
Skuldafn - How do you feel about dragon priests?
Dogshit hitboxes, like I previously said. Nothing more than that.
Sovngarde - How would your Last Dragonborn celebrate after the battle with Alduin, or would they celebrate at all?
I've actually been waiting to answer this one.
My current LDB is a Khajiit named Merri'sa. She's not fighting Alduin because she's following her destiny as Dragonborn. She's fighting Alduin on a personal level; a revenge for burning down her hometown before the events of Skyrim (fanon).
But for her, there's nothing to celebrate. Because she knows that nothing can bring back her memories.
So, she opted for a quiet life in Whiterun, before finally going back home to Cyrodiil.
I'm actually in the process of writing her story from start to finish, which I will upload some day in the future, either on tumblr, AO3, Wattpad, or all of them. I plan to upload the entirety of it at once, instead of chapter by chapter. So keep an eye out!

Rikke's mod recommendations
These are all for PC and SSE, but most of them also have a Legendary Edition counterpart. Anniversary players, cope.
At Your Own Pace - Slows down the main quest a bit so you don't feel so rushed to complete it
JS Armored Circlets - Adds armored circlets for if you're like me and hate the look of helmets but still want the extra armor rating
Book Covers Skyrim - Adds unique book covers to literally every book in the game
Floating Health Bars - I hate the way vanilla health bars work (when they decide to) so this helps me tremendously with combat, and even displays enemies level which I'm pretty sure is impossible to see in vanilla
Teldryn Sero Dialogue Expansion - makes my favorite charater even chattier and gives him some synthesized lines as well, including allowing him to read Nerevar at Red Mountain to you and even letting him play the lute if you ask nicely :)
Practical Female Armors - Makes the more abysmal female armors look more like their male counterparts
Impractical Royal Vampire Armor - Adds a titty window to the male vampire royal armor :3
Better Civil War Guards - Makes it so that guards in captured holds retain their unique colors while still being Imperial or Stormcloak soldiers, with seperate files depending on who you side with
Morrowind Armor - Netch Leather - Adds craftable netch leather armor and even puts it on certain Dunmer NPCs including Ralis, Jenassa, and Athis
Freckles and Rough Skin Complexion - makes freckles and rough skin more noticable
Pet The Dog - Lets you pet the dog :) (really only works in 3rd person though)
more under the cut to keep this post from taking up too much of the dash lol

On one hand, I want to believe that characters like Elisif and Ysolda are short queens because they give off that vibe, but on the other hand I know they're both nords and therefore probably fucking tower over my poor wood elf dragonborn like I bet they're both like 5'10"

Why people hate meridia? Really i don't know what happened about her and Daurien Gautier, i would be glad if you could explain to me :)
I have a paranoid suspicion this is bait but whatever, fine, you can have it.
There’s like two general reasons, the first being her in the lore and the second being her actions in eso.
In the lore, going all the way back to the time of the Ayleids, Meridia was the one who backed them in their fight against the humans they were enslaving. Particularly, she backed Umaril the Unfeathered (who you may remember from the Oblivion DLC) in his fight against Pelinal Whitestrake. Pelinal also sucked, but he was fighting alongside Alessia the Slave Queen to free her people. The Ayleids sucked and were an incredibly cruel people, so Meridia helping them is not great.
In the lore as well, Meridia is known to “purify” her servants, making them immortal but also taking away their free will. She also does this as a punishment to those who break their vows to her, and just in general. We see this in the dungeon “Depths of Malatar”, where she enslaves the Imperials who went to loot it, as well as keeping her Ayleid worshippers “alive” for thousands of years in service protecting half of the Wrathstone for some unknown reason. I believe it is implied she wished to use it someday, but dont quote me on that.
And in the lore again, Meridia has been known to “collect” people, being called the Daedric Prince of Greed in the Illiac Bay. We can arguably see this again with the Purified Imperials in DoM.
And finally in the lore, Meridia’s feud with Molag Bal has resulted in her sacrificing the lives of her own worshippers on the regular just to spite him. When Molag Bal’s forces were attacking a city of her worshippers (the Hollow City), she used the portals they were coming in from to move her city into Coldharbour. Molag Bal could not touch the city, but she moved/displaced all of her loyal followers into another princes realm just to stick it to her enemy. Every single inhabitant of that city either died from being placed outside the protection of the city, or eventually left the city due to being sick and tired of being trapped in there/Oblivion and eventually died. The only survivor was the last Ayleid king, who had been being held and tortured the entire time before his rescue via the Vestige. So a few thousand years.
Now in the games, particularly ESO, it is a popular belief that Meridia was the one who originally led the Vestige to the Worm Cult where they were killed, and is the kickstarter for the events of you being the Hero. The Hooded Figure looks shockingly like the Groundskeeper, has the same voice, and has a vested interest in getting someone powerful to have a deep hatred of Molag Bal and the Worm Cult and be on her side. A lot of people don’t take kindly to being led to their torture and death. Though this is a theory, not confirmed canon, but fandom interpretation is powerful.
Meridia also did not tell the Vestige she was Meridia until just before the fight against Molag Bal, playing with the Vestige like a chess piece in her own fight against her enemy. A lot of people don’t take kindly to being manipulated and used, even if it was against a common enemy.
As for Darien, Meridia created Darien to be her champion on Nirn. She let him believe he was just a normal Breton his entire life during ESO. At the end of the main quest, Meridia does not return Darien to the rest of the group, and instead takes him to her realm and keeps him there. A lot of us players, as well as NPCs, cared greatly for Darien, and very much dislike Meridia for that.
Darien writes from the Colored Rooms that he wanted to come home, a letter we can show to his friend Gabrielle (who it is strongly hinted he loved and who loved him back).
We don’t see Darien again until Summerset, when Meridia sends him there to help stop the daedric triad. Meridia did tell him the truth about who and what he was, to some degree, but not everything. When Meridia first talks about Darien, she expressed distaste for how he had changed having met the player. He had a singular purpose, but now he... cares. Meridia does not like her servants having their own freewill and thoughts.
Darien has to sacrifice himself at the climax of the main story. Once that quest is over, you can find a letter again from him, warning us not to trust Meridia. Just one tiny bit from “Words of the Fallen” “I need to tell you something about Meridia. She's a deceiver. She promised that if I served her faithfully, I'd earn my freedom. She never told me that freedom was just another word for the void. Don't trust her. Don't trust any of the Daedric Princes. Not ever.” I highly recommend reading all of Words of the Fallen btw.
So! Meridia promises freedom to her most loyal champion, and then takes it away after he does his job. Those who like Darien once again very much dislike Meridia for this.
In Dragonhold, there is a sidequest where you find someone dead next to what looks like Meridia’s Beacon. A letter on him implies that Meridia is looking for a new champion, one who will not betray her, implying that Meridia thinks Darien betrayed her. We know from Words of the Fallen that Darien sacrificed himself for the player, not Meridia. Meridia does not like that Darien cares about the player.
You can bring the letter to the dead khajiit’s wife, who says she is going to throw the stone in the lake. But if you talk to her again, she says that she thinks she’s going to hold onto it now, implying that she thinks she will be able to hear those same voices as him, and that she might take up the champion mantle.
The world boss quest giver in Southern Elsweyr talks about his own issues with Meridia, being a people collector and possibly having some past trauma with her/her cult.
And in Greymoor, Meridia's temple (mount kilkreath) is attacked by the Icereach Coven's harrowstorm, which steals the life energy of people and either kills them, turns them into mindless passive zombies, or feral vampires known as harrowfiends. It was mostly her priests and pilgrims that were attacked. Meridia did nothing to protect her followers or purge this corruption from even the inside of her temple. Many followers lost their faith that day.
All of this together, and the sneaking suspicion that she is not done with yet in ESO, makes a lot of us not only dislike her, but not trust her at all. Zenimax brought up Darien for Valentines Day, keeps bringing him and Meridia up in DLC, has her featured greatly in the main quest and a major chapter DLC...
It’s less an outright hatred of her. Believe me, I hate Molag Bal significantly more than I “hate” Meridia. I tend to take on my OCs beliefs and feelings as I play them, and my own main character was in a relationship with Darien and hates all daedra. Also she gets brought up more in recent DLC and thus is more of a relevant topic than Molag Bal. So I tend to post a lot about Meridia in less than positive lights. It’s more than I take issue with her being so connected to slavery and manipulation of mortals, yet being painted in a benevolent or even good light by a lot of the lore. I take issue with people who ignore the fact she is featured very prominently in recent games and accuse anyone who talks about disliking her of misogyny for not being equally or more loud about their dislike of other, worse daedric princes, regardless of if they do or do not. I take issue with people who romanticize her slavery or call her a “feminist icon” solely because they don’t like Darien (or me. That’s another reason). But that’s more of a specific tesblr community issue rather than “legit reasons in game or lore to not like Meridia”.
Overall, Meridia is a daedric prince. They’re not good or bad by mortal standards because they don’t ascribe to mortal defined morals. They do what they do because they must. It is their realm, their sphere of influence. Meridia started out as the Daedric Prince of Greed in early games, a collector of people, and her hatred of undead and Molag Bal are extreme. The fact that she is more present in ESO, a game I play on the regular and that gets updated multiple times a gear, means that people will talk about her more. When I was deeply into Skyrim, I talked about my dislike of Hermaeus Mora a lot. When I was deeply into Oblivion (for a short while), I talked about my dislike of Mehrunes Dagon. And when I am thinking about Morrowind, I end up talking about my dislike of Azura and the Tribunal. She isn't necessarily better or worse than other Princes, just more of a hot topic in the ESO side of the fandom than other Princes.
If this was sent in good faith then I apologize for saying it felt like bait. If it is bait, then here. Take it and start raving about what an awful misogynist I am. I await my callout post.

In the Elder Scrolls universe, my home and heart will always in Morrowind. I love the depth of the world. It’s heavy with dialogue, history, lore, culture. I'm still pretty classic RPG. I rarely mix skills and classes. 11: House Hlaalu, House Telvanni, House Indoril, House Dres, or House Redoran? House Hlaalu 12: Favorite faction? Thieves Guild in Morrowind Knights of Nine in Oblivion College of Winterhold in Skyrim 13: Dark Brotherhood or Morag Tong? Morag Tong 14: Do you hate any race/faction/etc.? Gadayn Andarys – Morrowind – for his terrible love letter Relmyna Verenim – Oblivion – delightfully morbid Paarthurnax – Skyrim – mentor and dragon grandpa 16: Favorite in-game book(s)? Yep. 22: Tell us about some of your characters/OCs? Pass 23: Favorite DLC? The Shivering Isles 24: What makes TES special to you? Questions snatched from here!
1: What was your first TES game?
Oblivion, though when I got it, my laptop was already so old it couldn’t run it at above 10 FPS. :D So I never got out of the first dungeon in the beginning. The first one I got to play properly was Skyrim which I bought soon after getting my current gaming laptop.
2: What TES games have you played?
Oblivion and Skyrim. Yes. I got Oblivion on Steam a while ago despite already having the physical CD. I would have played it more already, but I’ve been struggling to get mods to work on it. Hm... So I just keep going back to Skyrim because mods work so painlessly there.
3: Which TES game is your favorite? Why?
Skyrim. Yes. A big reason for this is the Familiar Faces mod. MAN. I love that mod. I doubt I would have been able to keep myself THIS obsessed with it without the ability to have my own characters as followers! Seriously, playing as Tai while having Liminka as a follower is just a dream come true~. They’re such amazing friends~.
Tumblr media
4: What is your favorite thing about TES?
The fact you can make your own characters. That’s also my favourite thing about Dark Souls! As a person who collects dolls and makes OCs... well, the ability to play video games as those characters is just AMAZING! (And plus points if I have a doll of the character I’m playing as watching me play. Sorry, Limmi, that I got you beaten again... But look at that ragdoll, how funny is that!)
5: What is your favorite race?
Nords, wood elves and dark elves. Can’t pick just one! Nords because, well, I live in a Nordic country... And the other two because they just seem so fascinating! I adore the accent that Dark elves have as well as how different Morrowind is as a place, and I am very curious about wood elves’ culture... (The cannibalism part is especially interesting. : o Can we pls have Valenwood soon?)
6: Who is your favorite Aedra?
Mmmmmm. Probably Mara. The Aedra don’t really do much in Skyrim so I haven’t really gotten super attached to any of them, but I do like the quests for Mara’s church. (+ Erandur is still my favourite vanilla follower. HNGH. SWEETHEART OF AN OLD MAN.) Also Praise Talos.
7: Who is your favorite Daedric Prince?
Sheogorath, no contest. I love the in-game books about Sheogorath and his dialogue in Skyrim is A++++. So... random!
8: Which faith would you follow?
Oh gosh... Uh... Prolly Mara. Healing would definitely be my sorta thing so...
9: What is your favorite school of magic?
Restoration. It’s so useful! All of my characters use it! And my mage characters? Healing Hands + a strong follower is godsent. Just stand behind the Follower and heal them while they kill all the draugr death overlords and such. :D
10: What is your usual playstyle?
Sheak + Archery AND One-handed swords + Shields. As in, first sneaking, and if that fails, just jump in and MURDER EVERYONE. While I do have also characters who use two-handed weapons or magic, I find it much more fun to go with archery or one-handed weapons. I just like to be able to block.
11: House Hlaalu, House Telvanni, House Indoril, House Dres, or House Redoran?
Oh gosh. I only know a TINY bit about these thanks to Dragonborn. Hmm... I think House Telvanni because I find Neloth fun. Such a weirdo. But his quests are fun. (That freaking water side-effect, good lord, that was amazing.)
12: Favorite faction?
The Companions are a Faction, right? They’re definitely my favourite! Farkas is one of my favourite followers alongside Erandur and GOOD LORD, KODLAK. KODLAK, NOOOOO. Kodlak’s journal stabbed me and my friend RIGHT through the heart and killed us both. Yes. I like the Companions. Even if they live in a mead hall and I hate alcohol.
13: Dark Brotherhood or Morag Tong?
Uh.... In Skyrim, most of my characters actually opt to destroying the Dark Brotherhood. I like the characters, or most of them, but I just rrrreally don’t like assassinating characters who are not just random bandits. (LURBUK, NOOOOO. NARFI, NOOOOO.) Morag Tong I again only recognise from Dragonborn and they’re all evil butts in my eyes too so... I’ll pick neither.
14: Do you hate any race/faction/etc.?
Nope. No hatred from me. Even if I don’t like quests that require killing named NPCs, I still don’t HATE any faction or race. (Though the Thalmor soldiers really grind my gears and I usually go out of my way to free their prisoners. DON’T YOU DARE KILL THESE POOR NORDS.)
15: Favorite individual character?
SO MANY. Erandur is my absolute favourite because he’s just SUCH A MASSIVE SWEETHEART. The dialogue he has just makes me want to give the poor guy a hug. ;A; Then there’s Farkas who’s just hilarious. Also in both me and Blue’s games he’s just the king of glitches who ALWAYS finds ways to glitch himself somehow. Then there’s Knight-Paladin Gelebor... That poor, POOR guy. I just feel so bad for him when I have to leave him alone in that temple-whatever after the quest. ;~; And Kodlak because of the stuff he says in his journal. And Brynjolf because he’s a bro and I like his voice. ALSO Faendal. Because he’s just cool. Yes. AND Sheogorath.
16: Favorite in-game book(s)?
Wabbajack. Absolutely.  “Maybe I'm smarter because I know cats can be bats can be rats can be hats can be gnats can be that's can be thises. And that doors can be boars can be snores can be floors can be roars can be spores can be yours can be mine.” I JUST LOVE THIS PART. JUST. YES. PERFECT. I love rhymes and I love associating. And that’s why I also adore Sheogorath. Though I ALSO like “Myths of Sheogorath” because it has hilarious little stories, and then “Troll Slaying” because it’s so sassy. Yesssss. I love themmmm.
17: Favorite in-game location?
Anyplace pretty, really. And there’s a TON of pretty areas in Skyrim. e_e So many... Though if we go by atmosphere, I quite like the Thieves Guild. Everyone there is just so nice and it’s so homely. D: Even if most of my characters are not thieves, the Thieves Guild still feels like such a safe haven. ALSO. A FAVOURITE PLACE. WOULD BE THIS ONE PLACE I WAS ABLE TO GLITCH MYSELF INTO IN THE FORGOTTEN VALE. I found a tiny hole in the wall there and was able to squeeze myself through so I was walking and swimming inside the walls. :D Basically I could see into the narrow caves from outside. I think Tai was traumatized by this find.
Tumblr media
18: If you were transported to Tamriel, what race and class would you be?
Mmmmm. A Nord, definitely. Probably a mage. A healer. And if I was the Dragonborn whose destiny is to save the lands? AHAHA. AS IF, I’LL JUST HIDE IN THIS CAVE AND EAT MUSHROOMS WHILE CRYING FOREVER. NOPE. NOT GOOD. I’M NOT HERO MATERIAL.
19: Thoughts on vampirism?
NOT MY THING. Only one of my characters is a vampire and that is Kai the murderous psychopath.
20: Thoughts on lycanthropy?
MORE MY THING. Though yeah. You need them mods to make Werewolves viable on higher levels. I like playing as a werewolf!
21: Do you role play while playing?
Uhm. Yes. You should be able to guess from the fact I play as my OCs and have OCs for followers too. :D Man, I’ve gotten so many fun story ideas for Limmi and Tai while playing them. Like that one time Tai and Limmi were ambushed by a horde of Falmer when I was playing as Limmi. Limmi took a LOT OF HITS AND I HAD TO RUN. And then I was super worried over Tai getting slaughtered there alone. BUT THEN HE WAS FINE AND THE RELIEF WAS GREAT.
22: Tell us about some of your characters/OCs?
I already listed and described them all in another post so I won’t do that again. But have some screenshots! Because I love sharing screenshots! (Have some Limmi with Tai, as well as some Aili with Ilka!.. and Erandur. xD Because ERANDUR.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
23: Favorite DLC?
OH NO. Either Dragonborn or Hearthfire. I love Solstheim and all the stuff you can do there... But I also really like Hearthfire and how you can sloooowly gather all the stuff you need to build the stuff for the house. : o I don’t care for paying a steward to furnish the houses... I want to do it myself!
24: What makes TES special to you?
Again, the character customization. Suddenly every playthough is unique because I have different characters and thus different playstyles and priorities! Heck, there’s even that one character who’s always in werewolf form. He doens’t do quests, he just runs around trying to keep his werewolf form up as long as he can!

I'm sorry it's been awhile! (;´Д`) Eris 16, 21, 23; Rhea 2, 26; Thal 1, 5, 13!!
*whispers* hullo, i,,,miss you ;; Kick your thesis’s ass and thank you for these 💓
Eris:
16. Does your oc take their time as they travel, or are they purposeful? How do they survive in the wilds, especially if they aren’t hunter-types? How dependent is your oc on civilized society?
Depends. When Skyrim was new to her, she took her time, learned the land, didn’t use roads, scaled the mountains to cut the distance, this kind of stuff. Now that she is familiar with the routes she goes as she pleases. For example, she takes the road to Riften, but never takes one for Solitude, prefering the sightseeing. She survives in the open just fine. At first she has food in her bag, lovingly packed by Rhea. When she’s out there’re always inns. If there aren’t there’re always bandit camps- catch her eating a leg of goat with corpses around. So i guess she’s dependent on someone to feed her- she won’t go through hunting, skinning and then cooking just to sate her short-lived desire for food. Better stay hungry. Have some self-respect.
21.How picky is your oc about their gear? Do they have different equipment for different adventures, or is it the same suit of armor for everything (not counting upgrades like from steel to ebony)?
Well, when she only started, Eris had to carry a lot of things on her. But now, when she leaves things like books or souvenirs at home, it’s the same set of things for her journeys- her Ebony Mail, her greatsword and a dagger, some food and some gold. A warm scarf if she’s going north. And things to sell, she doesn’t miss an opportunity. Everything else she can pick up on the road.
23. Can your oc swim, and how well? Have they ever swam in the ocean, or only lakes/rivers? Remember, it’s much harder to swim in the ocean than in a lake! If your oc is an Argonian, do they take special advantage of it somehow (e.g., do they go diving for fun/for profit, do they instinctively hide in the water, etc)? If your oc is a Khajiit who can swim, how do they get their fur dry?
Oh, she enjoys swimming! Her usual route to anywhere makes her cross lake Ilinalta and will she walk around it like a normal person? She will not. I like to hope she gets her armor off before swimming irl, but ingame she just jumps in in full-suit of ebony. Maybe it’s not too heavy (technically, it’s not). Maybe she is real strong (she is). Maybe she uses a spell to dry herself off (she just might). Leave the judgemnt at the door.
Eris also had to swim in the ocean, but she prefers not to, because it’s fucking cold.
Rhea:
2.How educated is your oc? Did their parents teach them, did they have a tutor or were they apprenticed to a master, or did they attend a university? What university? What are they educated in? How long did their education take? (Learned skills like blacksmithing count here too!)
Huh. I suppose Rhea’s self-educated. Her mother taught her the basics, but then she was on her own. While she tried to find herself and make a living, she did a lot of things. In Cyrodiil she learned baking and thieving, but it didn’t end well. In Morrowind she really decided to get serious and properly educate herself. She sought tutors out, learned basic skills and magic, read books on history, geography and other disciplines; house Redoran helped too. She learned to weave and live off the land from Ashlanders. But she never attended a formal place of study. SOmetimes Rhea regrets it, but she still thinks she turned out fine without it.
26. How helpful is your oc, and why? Are they helpful or kind even during difficult situations? Are they pragmatic, or do they have a hero syndrome?
Oh no, she’s!!! an angel!!! She will kill mudcrabs pestering your guar or she will save you from a Sixth House base! And she’ll be okay with what you pay or even if you don’t! She is neither pragmatic nor suffers from hero syndrome, but boi she’s kind!!!! i cry
Thalion:
1. It’s a little unreasonable for everyone in a Middle Ages-esque fantasy to be perfectly literate, and writing with quills was considered legitimate labor! How well can your oc read and/or write? How detailed is their quest log/journal, if they keep one at all?
Thalion got a fine Altmer home education, including magic, once she showed her aptitude for it. It consisted of her mom and several tutors. So it’s safe to say she can write and read well.
She does keep a journal. She writes notes of her objectives, then goes into details about the things she’d done and she draws sketches.
5. How religious is your oc? Do they come into conflict with others over their beliefs? If their patron deity told them to do something extremely undesirable or against their moral compass, would they do it? Would your oc sell someone’s soul for a corn chip?
I think Thalion isn’t religious at all. She spent her childhood looking at her mother going to the chapel and her father worshiping the Tribunal and came to a conclusion that no gods actually work or there wouldn’t be so many. Or they all work, but she never knew who to choose. So she still goes to chapels, but only to heal herself, and she still swears by the gods, but she doesn’t have a firm set of beliefs in her soul. Sometimes she regrets it.
13. Does your oc have any particular rivalry or mutual dislike with any NPC?
I don’t think so? Rivalry would mean she cares about someone and she Doesn’t Do That.

5, 10, 18, and 25 for the oc asks!
Defaulting to Joshi today..lol.
5. If they're a magic user, have they ever had a spell backfire? Teldryn went through a period of about 33 years where he was wearing a magicka drain enchantment on and off. A lot of this was during the time he should have been homing his magical talents. As a result, he's had some significant stunting to his magical reserves. After his release from prison he has a lot of catching up to do and with his reserves almost non existent, he has to rely on raw energy to sustain his spells. As a result, particularly during a particular chapter I'm working on in SA, he's going to have his spells straight up just not work when he needs them to. As he adapts to his unique magicka issue, spell failure happens a lot less often, but he is still prone to it if he's not concentrating. Teldryn often experiences his magicka failing as a sharp, whip-like snap through his wrist. It's unpleasant.
10. What's a seemingly minor decision they made that wound up majorly impacting their life? Teldryn accepted help from the wrong high ranking Hlaalu after being kicked out of home for another decision which was decidedly less minor. Unfortunately, he thought he could trust this man, and it backfired so majorly that he's still mentally dealing with the path that decision put him on 200 years later. 18. What color of clothing do they wind up wearing most often?
Black, vermillion, beige and his pants are a dark olive green. I haven't coloured him in full armour yet but if he is wearing it circa Morrowind then it's mostly black. Circa Skyrim some of the chitin plate is untreated and he's left with a few bare shell pieces. His goggles are technically magenta.
Tumblr media
25. If they were an NPC, what kind of quest would they give? Or would they be the type to simply repeat basic dialogue?
(This version of Teldryn) Would most likely be involved extensively in at least one quest revolving around the Dwemer, he's a tonal lock expert with a few published works under an Altmeri pseudonym. He'll probably call you a cunt right off the bat.
Shoot me some more asks!
