That was tougher than Alexia had anticipated. Over the past two weeks, she has struggled intensely to suppress her usual habits—no flirting, no checking out other women, no casual sex.
It's been a challenge she hadn’t fully grasped when she made the bet with you. She’s accustomed to moving from one woman to the next, and this sudden shift is excruciating.
Each day without her usual indulgences feels like a trial, and the thought of enduring another two weeks feels almost unbearable. Yet, this pain dissipates whenever she looks at you.
Your captivating eyes, your radiant smile, your voice—they never fail to leave her in awe of your beauty.
The time you've spent together outside of the store, including with Mia, has only deepened her admiration for you.
When you’re not looking, she finds herself observing you, marveling at the kind of person and mother you are.
Alexia is determined to take you on that date, but she’s realized that her feelings for you extend beyond just physical desire.
She yearns for something deeper, something more meaningful, though she’s unsure how to convey it. Her plan is to show you her seriousness through her actions.
Once you see that she’s committed to this path and genuinely not interested in anyone else, you’ll understand her true intentions.
At the moment, you were behind the register at the store, handling some clients while Alexia carried Mia, helping her reach the flowers she couldn’t quite get.
Carmen was away this week, and she trusted you enough to take care of her store. To ensure you weren’t alone, Alexia was here as often as she could be.
After finishing with a client, you watched as a tall, young, and undeniably attractive woman entered the store—definitely Alexia’s type. You couldn’t wait to see Alexia’s reaction and whether she’d break her bet.
As Alexia and Mia returned to you at the register, Alexia asked, “Mia’s hungry. Did you bring any food, or should I run out and grab something?” She gently placed Mia on the counter while you leaned in to give your daughter a kiss on the cheek.
“No, it’s okay, Ale. I packed something in her backpack in the back room,” you replied. Before you could fetch it, Mia eagerly jumped in, “I’ll go!” She asked Alexia to put her down and ran towards the back room.
Alexia turned to you with a playful grin. “What’s up?” she asked.
“You called me Ale,” Alexia pointed out, still smiling. “You never do. It’s always Alexia… admit it, you like me,” she teased, her eyes sparkling.
You laughed at her antics. “Oh, stop it. It’s just a nickname. Just like you call me ‘guapa’,” you said, and Alexia’s smile widened.
“I know you like me,” she said with a wink.
Just then, the woman from earlier approached Alexia, interrupting your playful exchange. Alexia briefly acknowledged her with a smile before turning back to you.
“Disculpa”the woman said, “¿Podrías, por favor, hacer un ramo con estas flores?” She handed you a handful of flowers she had picked out. (Excuse me,could you please make these into a bouquet?)
“Por supuesto.” you replied, taking the flowers and moving to the counter to start arranging them. (Of course)
Mia reappeared, munching on her sandwich. “Mommy, I found it!” she announced, approaching you.
“Good job, baby. Here, sit down and eat,” you said, pulling out a chair for her. She complied and quietly ate her sandwich.
You glanced over at Alexia and the woman as they engaged in a conversation. The woman seemed to be flirting with Alexia, but to your surprise, Alexia was quite dismissive, not engaging in the flirtation at all.
Leaning in a bit, you tried to catch their conversation. “¿Puedo tener tu número de teléfono? Quizás podríamos volver a vernos.” the woman asked. (Can I have your phone number? Maybe we could meet up again?)
You held your breath, waiting for Alexia’s response. With a firm yet polite tone, Alexia replied, “No, gracias. No estoy interesada.” (No, thank you. I’m not interested.)
You were actually impressed—Alexia had just rejected a beautiful woman. She was serious about the bet, and that realization hit you harder than expected.
The woman didn’t push her luck and, after nodding her head, distracted herself with her phone.
Meanwhile, Alexia had already made her way over to you, casually lifting Mia from her chair and settling her on her lap.
She sat down like it was the most natural thing, Mia cuddling against her easily, a familiar comfort between them that made your heart soften.
As you finished wrapping the bouquet for the woman, you handed it over with a polite smile.
Once she thanked you and left the store, your attention immediately shifted back to Alexia and Mia. Alexia shot you a wink, her smirk playful and full of mischief.
Mia hopped off Alexia’s lap, grabbing her sandwich and skipping toward the back room to announcing that she wanted some water bottle.
The second your daughter was out of sight, you turned toward Alexia, clapping your hands together with exaggerated disbelief.
“I’m impressed. You actually rejected a woman?” you said, raising an eyebrow. “Damn, didn’t think you had it in you,” you teased, folding your arms.
Alexia, still lounging in her chair, rolled her eyes dramatically. Before you could react, she grabbed your hand firmly, pulling you toward her until you were standing right between her legs.
Then, with little effort, she slid her hands behind your thighs, forcing you to straddle her lap. You let out a surprised gasp, instinctively wrapping your arms around her shoulders to steady yourself.
“Alexia!” you yelled, your cheeks flushed from the unexpected move. She only grinned, loving how easily she could fluster you.
Her arms circled your waist, pulling you closer, pressing you tightly against her. You could feel the warmth of her body against yours, her breath hot against your ear as she leaned in, her voice dropping low.
“Dios, I can’t wait for the day you scream my name like that when I finally get you in my bed,” she whispered teasingly.
A shiver ran down your spine at her words, and you tried to maintain composure, even as goosebumps spread across your skin.
You slapped her shoulder lightly, trying to regain control of the moment. “You wish,” you muttered, though your voice lacked the firmness you wanted.
Alexia’s hands slid slowly up your waist, her touch gentle and lingering as she looked directly into your eyes. Her expression softened, becoming more sincere.
“I rejected her because I’m only interested in one woman,” she said, her voice more serious now. “Y esa mujer... pronto va a salir conmigo” (And that woman… she’s going to go on a date with me soon.)
You were caught off guard by how genuine she sounded, her gaze locking onto yours with that look of admiration she always had when you weren’t looking.
You hesitated for a moment before letting your hand rest on her cheek, gently caressing her skin. Alexia closed her eyes at the touch, her lips brushing against your palm in a soft, tender kiss.
Before you could get too caught up in the moment, you reminded her, “You’ve still got two weeks left, don’t forget.”
You quickly slipped off her lap, putting some distance between you two before Mia could return and witness anything.
Alexia simply leaned back in her chair, a smug grin spreading across her face. “Two weeks is nothing,” she said confidently, her eyes still fixed on you. “I can do it.”
And from the way she looked at you, part of you believed she just might.
——
The two weeks were almost up, and Alexia hadn’t cracked once. You were impressed. Only two more days to go, and despite all the tempting situations, she hadn’t given in.
Over the past couple of weeks, you’d seen her reject every woman who so much as looked her way, whether at the store, in the street, or when you went out together.
The women barely got a “hola” in before Alexia was shaking her head, firmly saying, “No estoy interesada.” (I’m not interested)
And every single time, she’d wink at you with that familiar smirk, playfully calling you her “future wife.” You’d laugh and shake your head, amused but also undeniably touched by how serious she was about the bet.
But it wasn’t just the rejections that had caught your attention. Watching Alexia with Mia was what really made your heart flutter. Over the weeks, Alexia had become Mia’s favorite person.
She’d take her to the park, push her on the swings, or take her on long walks with Nala. Mia was obsessed, constantly asking when Alexia would be back and begging you to call her whenever she had a new drawing or just to say goodnight.
Alexia was equally as obsessed with Mia—teaching her new Spanish words, cuddling her when she got tired, playing with her... The two had developed a bond that was impossible to ignore.
But today, with just two days left, you decided to test Alexia’s patience a bit more.
You were unloading flowers from a delivery truck at the store, working with Pedro, the delivery guy. He was charming, a bit flirty even, but you hadn’t really engaged—until you saw Alexia walk in.
The moment she spotted you talking to Pedro, her whole demeanor changed. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at Pedro like he was some kind of threat.
You smirked inwardly. She was jealous, and you couldn’t resist teasing her a little.
Pedro handed you the delivery papers to sign, standing a little too close as he made small talk. “No te había visto aquí antes. ¿Eres nueva?”he asked with a friendly smile. (I haven’t seen you here before. Are you new?)
“Sí, lo soy.” you responded, watching Alexia out of the corner of your eye. Her expression darkened as Pedro continued chatting with you. (Yes I am)
He then switched to English, showing off a bit. “Ah, you’re not from Spain, huh? You’ve got a lovely accent,” Pedro complimented, leaning in slightly.
Alexia, standing by Carmen, was visibly fuming. She wasn’t even pretending to listen to Carmen anymore.
Her eyes were locked on Pedro, her jaw tight, hands clenched at her sides. Her possessiveness was written all over her face.
Deciding to push it a little further, you laughed softly at one of Pedro’s jokes and lightly touched his arm.
It wasn’t much, but it was enough to send Alexia over the edge. She shot forward like a bullet, striding over with a fake smile plastered on her face, her eyes sharp.
Without a word, Alexia slid her arm around your waist and tugged you close to her, forcing you to step away from Pedro.
“Hey, bebé, ¿ya terminaste aquí? Carmen te necesita en la parte de atrás” Alexia said sweetly, though her tone carried a thinly veiled edge. She pressed a soft kiss to your temple, her eyes locked on Pedro the entire time. (Hey, baby, are you done here? Carmen needs you in the back)
“Uh, yeah, I’m done,” you said, hiding your smirk as you pulled back slightly from Alexia’s grip. You thanked Pedro and signed off on the delivery, but Alexia’s hand remained possessively on your waist.
When Pedro finally walked away, but not before looking at you one more time, Alexia’s eyes followed him, her jealousy practically radiating off her in waves.
“Juro que si te mira una vez más… “Alexia muttered under her breath, her hand still gripping your waist protectively. (I swear, if he looked at you one more time…)
“Jealous, are we?” you teased, raising an eyebrow at her.
She scoffed, though her grip on you tightened. “I don’t get jealous.”
You laughed softly, knowing full well that wasn’t true. “Right. Sure.”
Alexia stayed at the store for the rest of the afternoon, supposedly to help Carmen, but you noticed she was really there to keep an eye on you.
Every chance she got, her eyes would dart in your direction, watching how you interacted with customers or the delivery guys.
And every time you acted just a little more friendly than usual—whether it was smiling a bit too much or laughing a little too loud—Alexia’s jaw would tighten, and her mood would darken.
At one point, another delivery guy showed up, and when he asked you about your day, you smiled and answered politely.
Alexia, who had been helping Carmen with a display, immediately stopped what she was doing and moved closer to where you were standing.
Her entire posture screamed protectiveness. She folded her arms and stood just a few feet away, glaring at the guy like he was public enemy number one.
“¿Necesitas ayuda aquí?”Alexia called out loudly, her voice dripping with false politeness. (You need help over here?)
The guy glanced at her, confused, but you shook your head. “No, I’ve got it,” you replied, biting back a grin as Alexia’s eyes narrowed even further.
You were thoroughly enjoying the power you had over her. Alexia was always the one in control, always the one with the upper hand when it came to the women she was with.
But now? Now you had her wrapped around your finger, and it felt incredible.
In the back room, Alexia cornered you, her eyes locking onto yours with a mix of frustration and amusement. “Do you enjoy torturing me?” she asked, her voice teasing yet edged with genuine curiosity as you turned around with a smirk.
“Absolutely,” you replied, savoring the satisfaction of seeing her reaction.
“That’s not fair,” she said, taking a step closer, her body language hinting at playful irritation. “I’m here, stuck not flirting with anyone, while you’re out here flirting with everyone,” she added, her gaze flickering with a mix of challenge and allure.
“Well, let me remind you,” you said, your tone light yet pointed, “it was your idea to avoid flirting and not sleep with anyone just to get a date with me.” You patted her shoulder reassuringly as she let out a huff of frustration.
“I know you’re jealous,” you said, your voice softening, “but don’t worry. In less than two days, it’ll be you I’m going out with, not anyone else… unless, of course, you break first.”
“I won’t break,” Alexia said firmly, her eyes flashing with determination. She moved closer, her hand slipping around your waist as she pulled you into her personal space.
“And after that date, you’ll love it so much that you’ll be begging for another date. Then, you and I will be having the greatest sex of your life,” she added with a cocky smirk, her tone dripping with confidence.
Lately, Alexia had become increasingly touchy with you, and though it was a change, you were thoroughly enjoying the closeness.
“Oh, really?” you whispered into her ear, your arms wrapping around her neck, the intimacy making your heart race.
“Yeah,” she murmured, her breath warm against your skin. “And I assured you you’ll be begging for more” She buried her nose in your hair, her voice trailing off as she inhaled deeply.
“I find that hard to believe,” you said, pulling back slightly to meet her gaze. Her expression softened, the playfulness in her eyes turning to something more tender.
“You’re so beautiful,” she said softly, her eyes locking with yours. The sincerity in her voice made your heart skip a beat.
“I can’t wait for you to be mine,” Alexia continued, her tone earnest. “I’ll take care of you in every way you deserve, and I’ll make sure Mia is well cared for, too.” Her hand caressed your back gently, the tenderness of her touch almost making you swoon.
Her words were like a balm to your heart. She knew how to touch you deeply, speaking to both your own feelings and your love for Mia.
You smiled, leaning in to place a soft kiss on her cheek. “I really hope that after this bet, you’ll still be able to keep your eyes and hands to yourself. Because, honestly, I want that too,” you confessed, your voice filled with gentle sincerity.
“I promised you,” Alexia said, leaning her forehead against yours, her eyes locked onto yours with unwavering sincerity. “I’m only interested in you, no one else…” she assured, her voice soft but filled with confidence.
You nodded, feeling a wave of relief and affection. You kissed her cheek one last time before smiling, which she returned warmly. As you both walked out of the back room, you hoped with all your heart that her promise was true.
With each passing day, you were falling deeper for her, and the thought of heartbreak was becoming increasingly unbearable.
——
Today was finally here—date day. Alexia had truly impressed you by sticking to her commitment, and you were genuinely surprised by her dedication.
You approached Carmen, who was busy arranging flowers behind the counter. “Carmen, I was wondering if you could watch Mia tonight,” you asked, hoping she’d be available.
“Of course, I’d be happy to. Are you going out?” Carmen replied, her voice warm with curiosity.
“Yes, I have a date,” you said with a casual shrug. Carmen’s eyes widened in surprise and excitement.
“A date? That’s wonderful! Let me guess—it’s with Alexia?” Carmen asked, her smile widening as she glanced at you.
“Yes, how did you figure that out?” you asked, intrigued by her insight.
“Por favor! It’s been pretty obvious with the way you two have been looking at each other lately. You’ve definitely gotten closer,” Carmen said, her tone full of knowing amusement.
“Yeah, we did. We actually made a bet. If Alexia could go a month without flirting or being with anyone else, I’d go on a date with her,” you explained, smiling.
“Wow, she really pulled it off?” Carmen’s eyes were wide with astonishment.
“Yes, she did,” you confirmed, chuckling at her reaction.
“She must really like you,” Carmen said thoughtfully. “You know, Alexia has changed a lot since she met you. I can see it in the way she looks at you—there’s a genuine happiness in her eyes now,” Carmen added softly, her gaze filled with warmth.
You smiled, touched by her observation. Carmen knew Alexia like her own daughter, so her acknowledgment of this change meant a lot to you.
“I’ve noticed it too,” you admitted. “She’s been amazing with Mia and with me. It’s like she’s become a different person in the best way.”
“I’m so glad to hear that,” Carmen said, her smile gentle. “You both deserve to be happy. Enjoy your date tonight, and don’t worry about Mia—she’ll be in good hands.”
“Thank you, Carmen,” you said, your gratitude evident in your tone. “I really appreciate it.”
As Carmen gave you a reassuring nod, you felt a mix of excitement and nervousness for the evening ahead.
That evening, after finishing the last touches of your makeup, you stood back and admired your reflection. Alexia had asked you to wear something casual but nice, so you chose a simple yet elegant combination: a soft blouse paired with a flattering skirt.
The anticipation for the night ahead had your heart racing slightly, though you tried to stay calm.
From the living room, you heard Carmen call out, “Y/N, Alexia’s here!” Her voice broke your focus, and you hurried out to greet her.
When you reached the living room, there was Alexia, standing confidently with not one, but two bouquets of flowers and a single flower in her hand.
She spotted you and her eyes lit up, the familiar smile that made your heart skip a beat curling at her lips.
“Hola, guapa,” Alexia said, her gaze sweeping from your head to your toes, taking in every detail of your outfit.
You approached her, leaning in for a hug. She smelled faintly of her favorite cologne, a comforting, familiar scent.
After the embrace, Alexia handed you a bouquet of red roses. “These are for you,” she said softly, watching your reaction.
Smiling warmly, you took the flowers. “Thank you, Alexia,” you replied, placing a kiss on her cheek, which made her grin grow wider.
Alexia then turned her attention to Carmen, holding out a bouquet of yellow roses. “Carmen, me di cuenta de que nunca te he traído flores, así que estas son para ti.” (Carmen, I realized I’ve never brought you flowers, so these are for you,” she said with a playful grin, handing her the bouquet)
Carmen’s eyes softened, clearly touched by the gesture. She pulled Alexia into a warm embrace, gently cradling her face in her hands before kissing her on the forehead. “Gracias, querida,” Carmen said lovingly, a motherly warmth in her voice.
Alexia chuckled softly, the bond between her and Carmen clear to see.
“Where’s Mia?” Alexia asked, looking back at you as you placed your bouquet in a vase in the kitchen.
Before you could respond, an excited voice shouted from the hallway. “Alexia!” Mia came racing into the room, her little feet barely touching the ground as she leapt straight into Alexia’s open arms.
“I missed you so much!” Mia squealed, wrapping her tiny arms around Alexia’s neck.
“I missed you too, nena,” Alexia responded, lifting Mia and holding her close. She then lowered her to the ground, pulling out a single white rose.
“Look what I got for you,” she said, handing the flower to your daughter with a gentle smile. “I hope you don’t mind, but your mommy gave me permission to choose your flower of the week.”
Mia’s eyes went wide with delight as she took the rose. “Thank you, Ale! It’s beautiful,” she said, standing on her tiptoes to kiss Alexia’s cheek.
“You’re welcome, mi amor,” Alexia replied, her expression softening as she watched Mia beam with excitement.
Mia rushed over to show you her flower, and you picked her up, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “It’s beautiful, baby,” you told her, carrying her back toward Alexia and Carmen.
“Alright, baby, Alexia and I are going to head out now. Be good for Carmen, okay?” you said gently. Mia nodded enthusiastically, wrapping her arms around your neck for one last hug. You kissed her cheek, smiling softly.
“Bye, baby. I love you,” you said. Mia waved with her small hand, her face lighting up with a big smile. “Love you too, Mommy,” she said sweetly.
She then turned her attention back to Alexia. “Bye-bye, Alexia!” Mia called, waving at her.
“Bye-bye, mi nena,” Alexia said, leaning down to kiss Mia’s little hand, earning a giggle from your daughter.
With a final look around the room, you and Alexia both said, “Bye, Carmen,” in unison, causing Carmen to laugh.
“Bye, girls! Have fun—but not too much fun!” Carmen teased, sending you both a playful wink. Alexia’s lips curled into a smirk at Carmen’s words, and you rolled your eyes, chuckling softly.
As Alexia and you made your way towards her car, she opened the door for you as you thanked her and she winked at you.
The ride to the restaurant was silent but peaceful. You find it kind of weird since Alexia is never silent and always have something to say.
Even though she’ll never admit it but Alexia was nervous and you could see it by the tap she does with the hand that is resting on her thigh. You decided to tease her a bit.
“You’re nervous” you asked her playfully and she just scoffed.
“Of course not” she said
“Yeah sure” you retorted pointing out her hand on her thigh and she immediately stopped as you laughed.
——
Arriving at the restaurant, you and Alexia were promptly seated at a cozy corner table, giving you just the right amount of privacy. The ambiance was warm, the soft glow of candles casting flickering shadows on the walls.
After being handed the menus, you both quickly decided on your meals, exchanging glances that carried a hint of excitement. It felt like something new was beginning.
When your food arrived, the conversation began to flow naturally between bites. Alexia, sitting across from you, seemed relaxed, more open than usual.
She started sharing stories about her family, reminiscing about childhood adventures with her sister, and funny moments with her friends.
You found yourself leaning in, captivated by the way she painted each story with vivid details. In return, you opened up about your own experiences, feeling a genuine connection deepening between you two.
Of course, it wasn’t long before Alexia, ever the tease, sprinkled in some playful flirtation and cheeky innuendos.
Her eyes gleamed with mischief every time she dropped a suggestive remark, her grin widening when you laughed or rolled your eyes at her antics. It was easy with her, the conversation flowing seamlessly from serious to lighthearted.
The chemistry between you was undeniable. You hadn’t been on a date in a long time, and Alexia made it feel special, like she’d put thought into every little detail. You could tell she wanted to make this night memorable for you, and so far, it was working.
But just as you started to fully relax, savoring both the food and the moment, something shifted. A subtle tension began creeping into the air, casting a shadow over the otherwise perfect evening.
But that date was about to take a turn for the worse… well, for Alexia.
“Ay! Do you remember that time you were telling me a story, but stopped halfway because I got distracted by another woman and wasn't paying attention?” she asked, her tone half-teasing, half-annoyed, as she narrowed her eyes at you. You nodded, a small, sheepish grin tugging at the corners of your mouth.
“You never finished it! I want to know the end,” she insisted, leaning forward in her seat, waiting eagerly. You couldn't help but laugh softly at her persistence.
“Alright, alright. So, Mia and I were—“you started, but before you could get the words out, Alexia suddenly cut you off with a low, startled “Mierda,” her eyes darting past your shoulder.
“What? What is it?” you asked, your brows furrowing in confusion as you followed her gaze.
“Nothing. It’s nothing,” she quickly muttered, trying to dismiss it, but her entire body had stiffened, and she looked like she was ready to slide under the table to avoid being seen.
The tension in her voice was unmistakable, so naturally, you turned around to see what was going on.
There, just a few feet behind you, stood a group of three girls waiting to be seated. They were scanning the room, completely unaware of the storm they were about to bring. You glanced back at Alexia, noticing how she was now staring down at the table, her head tilted just enough to avoid eye contact with anyone in the group.
It was clear she was trying to hide, but it was already too late
“Alexia?” you heard a voice call from behind, and one of the girls from the group stepped forward, her tone dripping with skepticism.
Alexia froze. Slowly, she looked up, giving the girl a strained, awkward smile. “Hola.. um, Alicia?” she asked tentatively, her voice faltering.
“No, es Martina,” the girl replied sharply, clearly offended by the mistake. “Sigo esperando esa llamada que me prometiste.” she added, crossing her arms over her chest, her eyes narrowing as she glared at Alexia, completely ignoring your presence at the table.(No, it’s Martina. Still waiting for that call you promised me)
You blinked, glancing between Alexia and Martina, utterly bewildered by the situation.
“Uh, sí... sobre eso...” Alexia stammered, but before she could say anything more, another girl from the group stepped forward, her eyes widening in recognition. (Uh, yeah…about that…)
“¿Espera, Alexia?” she exclaimed, turning to Martina. “¿La conoces?” (Wait, Alexia?, You know her?)
“Sí, esta tonta y yo salimos como una semana.” Martina said bitterly. (Yeah, this idiot and I went out for like a week)
“Tuvimos sexo,y me prometió que me llamaría, pero me dejó en visto” Her voice was dripping with disdain, and you couldn't help but raise your eyebrows at Alexia, who was now staring at the table, her face flushed with embarrassment. (We had sex, and she promised she’d call, but she ghosted me)
“¡A mí me pasó lo mismo!” the second girl chimed in, her voice sharp with anger. (Same thing happened to me!)
“Nos acostamos, y luego, cuando me la encontré en la calle, actuó como si yo ni siquiera existiera.”She shot Alexia a venomous look, and you could see the color drain from Alexia’s face as she shrank further into her seat, looking like she wanted to vanish on the spot. (We hooked up, and then when I ran into her on the street, she acted like I didn’t even exist.)
As if things couldn't get any worse, the third girl from the group joined the conversation. “Chicas, la mesa está lista.” she said, then paused when her eyes landed on Alexia. (Girls, the table's ready)
“Alexia?” she asked, her face lighting up in recognition. You, on the other hand, closed your eyes and rubbed your temple, feeling the weight of the situation.
The other two girls whipped around to face their friend. “¿Tú también la conoces?”they asked in unison, their voices tinged with disbelief. (You know her too?)
“Si” the third girl replied with a sigh. “Nos acostamos hace un meses, y luego literalmente me sacó de su cama y me echó de su apartamento porque su hermana iba a venir. Luego se disculpó con flores, y tuvimos sexo de nuevo. Ella prometió que me llamaría, pero nunca lo hizo.¡Todavía tengo un moretón por eso!”she added, rolling her eyes dramatically, well that sounds familiar you thought. (We hooked up a couple of months ago, and then she literally pushed me out of her bed and kicked me out of her apartment because her sister was coming over. She then apologized with flowers and we had sex again, she promised she’ll called but she never did.I still have a bruise from it!)
At this point, you could barely believe what you were hearing. Your gaze slid over to Alexia, whose head was hanging low.
“¿También tuviste sexo con mis amigas?”Martina asked incredulously, her voice rising in anger. Alexia just nodded, biting her lip, knowing she was caught. (You slept with my friends too?)
Martina’s expression hardened as she grabbed Alexia’s champagne glass and, without a second thought, tipped it over Alexia’s head.
The liquid cascaded down her hair and onto her clothes. You gasped, eyes wide with shock.
“Eso es por acostarte con mis amigas.”Martina spat, her voice cold. (That’s for sleeping with my friends)
Before you could react, the second girl reached across the table, grabbing your champagne glass. Without hesitation, she poured it over Alexia as well. “Esto es por pretender que no existía y hacerme sentir como si estuviera loca” she said, her glare piercing through Alexia. (This is for pretending I didn’t exist and making me feel like I was crazy)
Finally, the third girl took the bottle of champagne that had been sitting in the middle of the table and dumped the entire thing over Alexia’s head. “Y esto,” she said with a smirk, “es por darme un moretón.” (And this is for giving me a bruise.)
The entire time, Alexia didn’t say a word. She just sat there, drenched in champagne, fully aware of how badly she had messed up.
Her usually confident demeanor was completely shattered, and she knew there was no escaping the consequences of her actions.
The three girls turned and walked away, but not before one of them lightly tapped you on the shoulder and said, “Buena suerte, tia” with a wink. (Good luck, girl)
The whole restaurant had gone deathly silent. You could feel everyone’s eyes on your table, all of them watching the fallout of Alexia’s disastrous past.
You smirked and picked up your fork, continuing to eat as if nothing had happened. She had it coming, and you couldn’t help but feel a little vindicated.
Alexia looked at you, her eyes wide with disbelief, but you just shrugged. “Don’t look at me like that. You deserved it. You’re a jerk,” you said casually, turning back to your plate while Alexia slowly got up, mumbling something about going to the bathroom.
When she returned, still slightly damp and clearly humiliated, the two of you decided it was time to leave. Alexia paid the check without a word, and the two of you walked back to the car in utter silence, the tension between you almost tangible.
Neither of you said anything on the drive home, and the weight of everything that had just happened hung in the air between you, too thick to ignore.
As you arrived at your apartment, the silence from the restaurant lingered between you and Alexia. Standing in front of your door, you turned to her, trying to lighten the mood.
“Well… that was fun,” you said, managing a small, somewhat strained smile. Alexia responded with a sad, half-hearted smile of her own.
“Yes, um… I’m really sorry about all of this” she said, motioning to her champagne-soaked clothes, her voice filled with remorse.
“It’s okay,” you said gently, trying to reassure her.
Alexia hesitated, then asked nervously, “Entonces… ¿crees que podríamos, ya sabes, intentarlo de nuevo?” She fiddled with the ring on her finger, clearly anxious. (So… do you think we could, you know, give it another shot?)
You sighed, gathering your thoughts before responding, “I don’t think so,” you said softly. Her head snapped up, eyes wide with surprise.
“Didn’t you enjoy yourself? Well, before everything went wrong?” she asked, her voice betraying her insecurity.
“I did enjoy myself, especially when everything went wrong. And Alexia, I really like you,” you admitted, your voice earnest.
Her expression softened, and she looked relieved, if still uncertain.
“I really like you too, Y/N. And if you’re worried about me seeing other girls again, I promise I won’t. You’re the only one I want,” she said quickly, her eyes pleading with you.
“It’s not just about that,” you said, shaking your head. “ I have to think about more than just myself. I need to consider Mia too,” you explained. Her brow furrowed in confusion.
“Mia loves me,” she said, her tone a mix of confusion and hurt.
“I know she does, but imagine if something like this had happened while Mia was with you. What do you think she would say?” you asked, your voice firm but compassionate.
“He estado con Mia muchas veces antes y nada como esto había sucedido.”she said desperately. (I’ve been out with Mia plenty of times before, and nothing like this ever happened)
“Yeah, but that doesn’t guarantee it won’t in the future,” you pointed out. “I’m really sorry, Alexia, but as much as I like you and want to be with you, I think we’re better off as friends,” you said, your heart heavy. She looked at you with sadness in her eyes but nodded slowly.
“Come here,” you said, opening your arms. She stepped into your embrace, her face buried in the crook of your neck as she whispered apologies. You gently rubbed her back, offering comfort as best as you could.
When you finally pulled away, Alexia pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. “I’ll fix this, I promise. I’m not giving up on us,” she said with determination, her eyes locked on yours.
“I know you won’t,” you said with a soft smile. “Goodbye, Alexia,” you said, opening the door to your apartment.
“Adios, guapa,” she replied, giving you one last smile before turning to walk away.
As Alexia made her way down the hall, she was overwhelmed by a swirl of emotions—feeling foolish, embarrassed, and heartbroken.
She regretted missing her chance to be with you but was resolute in her determination to make things right. She walked away with a promise to herself to fix the situation and not give up easily.
——
You hadn’t seen Alexia in nearly a month after that night. She stopped visiting the store, and the only communication between you was through sporadic text messages.
Mia, who had grown quite fond of Alexia, missed her terribly. She frequently aked about Alexia’s absence and why she wasn’t coming around anymore.
You found yourself making up various excuses, claiming Alexia was tied up with work commitments.
Despite her absence, Alexia still took the time to call Mia occasionally to wish her good night, which you found genuinely touching and appreciated.
The only glimpses you got of Alexia were on TV, during her matches that you and Mia watched together. On screen, she looked striking—blonder than before and just as captivating.
You often asked Alexia when she would be coming back to the store, but her answers were consistently vague.
She would simply say, “soon.” The last time she gave you this response was two weeks ago, leaving you wondering when she would actually return.
“Mia, no running in the store, baby, please,” you called out, watching your daughter race around the aisles for what felt like the hundredth time in the past ten minutes.
You had no choice but to bring her with you today since Maria, your usual babysitter, was sick and couldn’t look after her.
“Sorry, Mommy!” Mia yelled back as she skidded to a halt. You walked over, picked her up, and set her on the counter.
Just as you were about to speak to her, the familiar ring of the door bell sounded, and you looked up to see Alexia entering the store.
Before you could even react, Mia leaped off the counter, causing your heart to skip a beat, and sprinted straight for Alexia, shouting her name at the top of her lungs. She flung herself into Alexia’s arms without hesitation.
“I missed you so much, nena,” Alexia said, wrapping Mia in a tight embrace and kissing her lightly on the shoulder as she walked over to you, Mia still clinging to her.
Alexia didn’t let Mia go immediately. She waited, cradling her close until Mia finally pulled away and smiled up at her.
“Why haven’t you been here? I thought you left me,” Mia said, her lower lip jutting out into a pout. The words made your heart sink, the thought of Mia feeling abandoned tugging painfully at your chest.
Alexia’s expression mirrored the heartbreak you felt. “Oh, no, nena. I would never leave my favorite person in the whole world,” Alexia reassured her, pressing a few more soft kisses onto Mia’s cheek, clearly trying to make up for the lost time.
“Alexia, do you wanna see all the drawings I made?” Mia asked, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
Alexia grinned and nodded, more than ready to follow Mia’s lead. They headed toward the back room, Mia tugging on her hand eagerly.
As they passed by, Alexia glanced at you, her eyes soft. “We’ll talk later, okay?” she said quietly, her voice filled with an unspoken apology. You nodded in response, not needing to say anything at the moment.
On their way to the back room, Alexia greeted Carmen with a quick hug and a few exchanged words. Carmen smiled and gestured them through.
During your break, you decided to check in on them. As you stepped into the back room, your breath caught at the sight in front of you.
Alexia and Mia were lying together on the small bed Carmen had set up for Mia’s naps when she visited the store.
Mia was curled up on top of Alexia, her tiny body tucked against Alexia’s chest, her face nestled in the crook of Alexia’s neck. They were both fast asleep, breathing softly in perfect unison.
You couldn’t help but smile at the scene. It was a picture of calm and warmth, a reminder of just how close Mia had grown to Alexia.
You stepped closer quietly and grabbed Mia’s favorite blanket, gently draping it over both of them. As you adjusted the blanket, Alexia stirred, her eyes fluttering open. She blinked sleepily at you before offering a soft, sleepy smile.
You smiled back, and for a moment, neither of you spoke. There was an unspoken understanding between you.
Alexia had missed you more than she could express, and you could see it in her eyes. She had been distant, but you knew she was trying to make things right.
Carefully, Alexia shifted, sitting up slowly to avoid waking Mia. She gently placed Mia on the bed, tucking the blanket securely around her tiny frame. After making sure Mia was settled, Alexia quietly got up and approached you, her gaze soft but intense.
Without a word, she pulled you into a tight hug, the warmth of her embrace familiar. “¿Cómo estás?”she asked softly, her voice low in your ear. (How are you?)
“I’m good. And you?” you replied, pulling back slightly to look up at her. Alexia smiled, echoing your words. “Good.”
You rested your head against her shoulder for a brief moment, her scent and the comfort of her touch bringing back memories.
Then, in a quiet voice, you whispered, “I missed you. Where have you been?” You pulled away enough to look her in the eye, the question hanging between you.
“Let’s talk outside so we don’t wake her,” Alexia suggested gently, nodding toward the sleeping Mia. You nodded in agreement, and with that, she took your hand, her touch warm and steady.
Leading you out of the back room and through the store, you let Carmen know you’d be stepping outside for a moment.
Once outside, the cool air hit your skin, and you felt a little lighter, but the conversation ahead weighed on your mind.
Alexia gave your hand a reassuring squeeze before letting go, and the two of you found a quiet spot to talk, close from the store.
“So... where were you?” you asked, cutting straight to the chase, unable to hold back the question any longer.
Alexia let out a soft sigh, her eyes flickering with a mix of nerves and determination. “I’ve been thinking a lot about what you said,” she began, her voice quiet but steady.
“After what happened on our date and how you didn’t want Mia around if something like that ever happened again.”
You nodded, recalling the conversation clearly. That night had been chaotic, and the thought of Mia witnessing anything similar made your stomach turn.
“Bueno... sé que puede no parecer mucho para ti, pero realmente quería asegurarme de que esa situación no se repita” Alexia continued, her gaze earnest. (Well... I know it might not seem like much to you, but I really wanted to make sure that situation never repeats itself)
“I didn’t want to risk women getting mad at me in public with Mia around... so, I decided to go and apologize to every single woman I’ve hurt.”
You blinked in shock, her words taking a moment to sink in. “Wait, what?”
“Si” she said, with a nervous chuckle, running a hand through her hair. “It took a while—a month, actually. There were... well, a lot of women. But I made sure to apologize to every single one of them for treating them badly, using them, or hurting them in any way”
You stared at her, your surprise evident. Alexia had always been confident, even a little cocky at times, but this... this was something entirely different. “Wow,” was all you managed to say, the weight of her actions hitting you.
Alexia offered a small smile, clearly relieved by your reaction. “I want to be different. A new version of myself,” she said, her tone soft but determined.
“No more womanizer Alexia, no more jumping from girl to girl. I want to be Alexia who’s focused on only my four girls” She paused, letting her words hang in the air.
You furrowed your brow, unsure who she meant. “Four girls?” you asked, curiosity piqued.
She grinned, her eyes softening. “Si. My mom, my sister, Mia and you.”
At that, your heart melted completely. There was a sincerity in her voice that struck a chord deep within you. “I think I like this new Alexia,” you said, your voice gentle but full of warmth.
Alexia smiled wider, clearly touched by your response. “I like her too,” she said, and you could feel the shift between you, something unspoken yet understood.
Without thinking, you wrapped your arms around her neck, pulling her into a tight embrace. Alexia responded immediately, her arms circling your waist, holding you close.
The hug felt different this time—not just physical closeness, but emotional connection, a promise of something deeper.
After a long moment, she whispered into your ear, “I was worried you’d be mad at me for disappearing.”
You shook your head gently, still nestled against her. “No, I could never be mad at you for taking the time to figure things out. I’m proud of you for doing that,” you said softly, pressing a light kiss near her ear as a small gesture of reassurance.
Alexia pulled back slightly, her hands resting on your hips, but she didn’t let go. “I’ve got to head to training now,” she said reluctantly, her eyes searching yours. “But... would you and Mia come to my match tomorrow?”
“Really?” you asked, excitement bubbling up. You knew how much Mia adored watching Alexia play, and you could already imagine her reaction.
“Yeah,” Alexia said, her grin widening. “Don’t worry about tickets—I’ve got plenty set aside for friends and family. Please come. It’ll be fun.”
“Of course! Mia’s going to be thrilled,” you replied, already imagining Mia’s excitement when you told her. Then, after a brief pause, you added, “Also, after training, would you like to come over for dinner?”
Alexia’s eyes lit up at the invitation. “I’d love to,” she said, her voice warm as her hands squeezed your hips gently, as if to seal the moment. “I’ve missed you both so much. I’d love to spend time with you two again.”
You smiled, your heart feeling lighter than it had in weeks. “We’ve missed you too,” you admitted softly, your voice carrying the weight of the time that had passed.
Alexia smiled back, and for the first time in a while, everything felt right again.
——
“When is Alexia coming?” Mia asked for what felt like the hundredth time tonight, her little voice full of impatience and excitement.
“Soon, baby,” you said, smiling as you gently squeezed her chubby cheeks, making her burst into a fit of giggles.
A few minutes later, there was a soft knock at the door. Mia's eyes lit up as she gasped, “Alexia!” Her excitement was infectious, and you nodded, her joy mirrored in your own smile.
You walked over to the door and opened it to reveal Alexia standing there, her familiar warm smile lighting up the space.
She had Nala cradled in one arm, and in the other, she carried a Barca bag. “Nala!” Mia squealed, holding out her hands towards the dog.
Alexia knelt down and gently set Nala on the floor, and with a wagging tail, the little dog scampered inside, Mia trailing closely behind, laughing as she chased her around the room.
“I think Mia loves Nala more than she loves you,” you teased, laughing as you looked over at Alexia.
Alexia chuckled softly, eyes crinkling at the corners. “I think you’re right,” she agreed, shaking her head playfully.
Stepping inside, Alexia pulled you into a warm hug. Her familiar scent and comforting presence made everything feel just a little brighter.
After the hug, she joined you in the kitchen, sleeves rolled up, ready to help with the last bit of dinner prep.
Together, the three of you worked in perfect harmony, Mia perched on a chair stirring something while Alexia handed you ingredients.
The kitchen was filled with soft laughter and the clinking of dishes. By the time dinner was ready, the atmosphere was as warm as the meal itself.
You all sat down at the table, Mia in the middle of you and Alexia, happily chatting as she recounted her day in between bites of food.
The sound of her tiny voice mixed with the hum of evening conversations made the moment feel blissfully perfect.
After dinner, you moved to the living room, where the three of you sprawled out on the floor, playing with Mia’s collection of dolls. Mia giggled as you and Alexia helped the dolls “talk,” her laughter bubbling up every time one of you made a silly voice.
“Hey, Mia, guess what?” you asked her, lowering your voice like you were about to share a big secret. Her wide eyes locked onto yours immediately. “What?” she asked, voice full of curiosity.
You exchanged a knowing glance with Alexia, and a smile crept across both your faces. “Tomorrow, we’re going to see Alexia play at the stadium,” you revealed, your voice filled with excitement.
Mia gasped loudly, her eyes widening even more as she whipped her head toward Alexia. “Really!?”she asked, practically bouncing in place. Alexia nodded with a soft smile.
Without hesitation, Mia flung herself into Alexia’s arms, wrapping her tightly in the biggest hug her little body could muster.
Alexia laughed, her arms wrapping around Mia in return. “I have something for you too,” Alexia said, her voice gentle and playful. “For both of you,” she added, glancing at you with a smile.
She stood up and grabbed the Barca bag she had brought with her, then sat back down next to you, her eyes twinkling. With a flourish, she pulled out a tiny jersey, perfectly sized for Mia, with her name on the back.
Mia’s eyes went as wide as saucers. “A new jersey!” she exclaimed, clutching it like it was the most precious thing in the world.
“Thank you, Ale!” she squealed, and in an instant, she was up and planting a big kiss on Alexia’s cheek. “Look, Mommy! A new jersey!” she said, proudly showing it off.
“I see it, baby,” you said, matching her joy with an exaggerated gasp and a wide smile. “It’s perfect!”
Alexia wasn’t done yet. She reached into the bag again and pulled out another jersey, this one larger, clearly meant for you. You raised your eyebrows, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
“And this one’s for you,” Alexia said with a wink. “Since I know I’m your favorite player, of course I had to choose my jersey,” she teased, a playful grin on her face.
You couldn’t help but laugh, shaking your head. “Thank you, Alexia,” you said softly, your heart full as you leaned in and kissed her cheek. “It’s perfect.”
Mia, already wearing her jersey over her pajamas, threw her arms around your neck, beaming up at you both. “Now we can all match” she exclaimed, her little face glowing with excitement.
You smiled, kissing her on the cheek. “Yes, we can! We’ll all wear them tomorrow for the game,” you promised, imagining how happy Mia would be to wear her new jersey to the stadium.
Alexia watched the two of you, her gaze soft and filled with warmth as she took in the sight of Mia nestled in your arms, the three of you wrapped in this quiet, loving moment. It was the kind of simple joy that made everything else fade away.
At bedtime, Mia sweetly asked Alexia to read her a bedtime story, and Alexia, with a bright smile, happily agreed without hesitation.
Mia, already tucked under her warm blankets, gently handed Alexia the book she had chosen for the night, her eyes shining with anticipation.
Alexia gratefully accepted the book and thanked her, but before she could begin, Mia looked over at you standing in the doorway. “Mommy, come too,” she said softly, her small voice filled with warmth.
You stepped into the room, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting a peaceful light across the room. Sitting down beside them on Mia's bed, you felt her tiny hand reach out for yours.
You held it, the warmth of her fingers a comforting reminder of the moment, as Alexia opened the book and began to read, her voice steady and soothing, bringing the story to life.
Only five minutes into the story, Mia’s eyelids fluttered shut, and she drifted off to sleep, her chest rising and falling gently with each breath.
You quietly stood up, careful not to make a sound that might wake her, and leaned in to plant a soft, tender kiss on her forehead. The warmth of her skin and the calm expression on her face filled you with love and peace.
Alexia, with a soft smile on her face, followed your lead and leaned down to give Mia a gentle kiss as well. Together, you both quietly tiptoed out of the room, leaving Mia peacefully asleep, her dreams already beginning.
Since it was still early, you and Alexia decided to spend more time together by watching a movie. The mood was light and comfortable, with a relaxed air between the two of you.
While you busied yourself making popcorn, you could hear Alexia humming softly as she browsed through the movie options, searching for something just right.
When the popcorn was ready, you walked over and sat down close beside her, the warmth between you instant. She smiled at you, her eyes soft and full of affection. “Ready?” she asked, holding the remote.
“Ready,” you nodded, returning her smile. Nala was lying peacefully on the floor, her breathing slow as she slept through the evening’s calm.
As the movie played, you slowly started to feel tired. Alexia noticed the way your head began to dip slightly, and without saying a word, she shifted closer to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “Come here,” she whispered, gently pulling you into her side.
You leaned into her, letting the weight of the day melt away in her embrace. Her hand found its way to your hair, gently running through it in soft, soothing strokes. “You okay?” she asked quietly, her voice tender.
“Mmm, yeah, just tired,” you murmured, already feeling sleep pulling at you.
“Go ahead, rest. I’ve got you,” she whispered, her hand continuing to caress your hair, lulling you into a deep, peaceful slumber.
You didn’t even notice when you fully drifted off, lost in the comfort of her arms and the warmth of her presence. Time seemed to disappear until you were gently woken by Alexia shifting next to you.
“Hey,” she whispered softly, her hand still in your hair as you blinked yourself awake. “Sorry, I didn’t want to wake you, but it’s getting late and I should go.”
You rubbed your eyes and nodded, sitting up a little. “It’s okay. I didn’t mean to fall asleep,” you said with a small, sleepy smile.
Alexia smiled warmly, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face. “You looked too peaceful to wake up sooner,” she said with a gentle laugh. She stood up, stretching slightly before you both walked toward the door, Nala following lazily behind.
Once at the door, you opened it for her, the cool night air drifting in. Alexia stepped outside and then turned back toward you, her smile soft and full of warmth. “Thank you for dinner tonight. It was perfect,” she said sincerely.
You stepped closer to her, feeling a soft blush rise in your cheeks. “Thank you for the jersey,” you said with a shy smile. “I can’t wait to wear it tomorrow.”
Alexia’s eyes lit up. “I can’t wait to see you wearing it tomorrow,” she replied, her voice playful but sweet.
She moved closer, her hands gently resting on your hips, and you instinctively wrapped your arms around her shoulders, pulling her even closer.
“Please don’t tease me like you did in the kitchen the other day,” Alexia said, her voice low but teasing, a grin tugging at the corners of her lips.
You laughed softly. “I’m not teasing,” you whispered, before leaning in and kissing her.
The kiss was soft and sweet, but there was a deeper connection between you. It felt natural, almost as if you had been waiting for this moment.
Her arms tightened around your waist, and you melted into her, letting the warmth of the moment surround you. Your lips moved together in sync, the kiss growing more passionate as your tongues met, exploring each other.
Alexia sighed contentedly into the kiss, pulling you even closer as if she never wanted to let go. You could feel her heartbeat against you, and it was as if time had stopped, the world outside disappearing.
But then, Nala’s sudden bark broke the silence, causing you both to laugh into the kiss, reluctantly pulling away from each other. Alexia chuckled softly, resting her forehead against yours. “Finally,” she breathed, her voice a mix of relief and happiness.
You grinned and playfully kissed the tip of her nose. “You really made me work for that,” she teased, her hands gently rubbing your sides. “But it was worth every second.”
You smiled softly, your heart full as she leaned in and kissed you again, this time just a light, sweet peck on your lips.
“Okay, I really need to go now,” Alexia said with a soft sigh, her reluctance clear in her voice. She didn’t want the night to end.
“I’ll see you tomorrow?” you asked, your voice soft, not wanting to let her go just yet.
“Of course,” she said, smiling warmly at you. “See you tomorrow, guapa,” she added, pressing a tender kiss to your forehead before stepping back, her eyes lingering on yours.
“Goodnight, Alexia,” you whispered, your heart full as she gave you one last smile before turning and walking away, Nala trotting beside her.
You watched her disappear down the path, closing the door with a happy sigh, feeling like you were floating. The night had been absolutely perfect. Everything—every moment, every word—was just right. You couldn’t wait to see her again tomorrow, already counting the minutes.
——
“Mommy, look, Alexia is coming out of the tunnel!” Mia exclaimed, her voice bubbling with excitement.
All day, Mia had been bouncing with energy, even waking you up at 6 a.m. by jumping on your bed and insisting you get up for the Barca match, even though the match was in the afternoon.
Her enthusiasm was contagious, and you were just as thrilled to see Alexia play live, rather than through a screen.
After your kiss yesterday, you and Alexia had been texting non-stop, sharing flirty messages and exchanging photos. You had sent her a cute picture of you and Mia wearing her jersey to show your support. When Alexia saw the photo, she couldn’t help but smile widely and set it as her lockscreen background.
“Yes, I see her,” you said, nodding as you watched Alexia warming up on the field. She looked stunning—her hair tied back in a ponytail, her powerful legs ready for action, and her intense focus. It was hard not to think she looked incredibly attractive.
Every so often, Alexia would glance towards the stands, searching for you and Mia. When she finally spotted you both, Mia jumped up in her seat, waving her arms excitedly. Alexia’s face lit up with a huge smile as she waved back.
Then Alexia caught sight of you and playfully blew you a kiss. You returned the gesture, and she caught your kiss, pressing it to her heart with a cheeky grin.
The match started, and Barca took control of the game right from the beginning. At one point, Alexia scored a breathtaking goal, and the entire crowd erupted in cheers. Mia was beside herself with excitement, jumping up and down and chanting Alexia’s name.
When the game ended and it was time to leave, you carried Mia through the bustling crowd to make sure she didn’t get lost.
As you made your way down the stairs, you received a message from Alexia telling you to joined her at a certain spot so she’like pick you and Mia up.
You walked to the designated spot, and Mia continued to chatter excitedly about her favorite moments from the game, her eyes sparkling.
Soon, you saw Alexia’s car pulling up. You opened the door, and Mia immediately reached out to Alexia, wrapping her arms around her in a warm embrace.
Alexia hugged Mia tightly and asked, “Did you have a great time at the match?”
Mia’s face lit up as she replied, “Yes! I loved it! It was amaziiiing!” She stretched out the word, her excitement palpable.
“Come on, Mia, climb into the backseat,” you said gently. Mia eagerly obeyed, sliding into the car.
Alexia looked a bit concerned as she apologized, “I’m really sorry I don’t have a car seat. I’ll be very careful, though.”
“It’s okay, Ale,” you reassured her, fastening Mia’s seatbelt with a smile.
Once you were settled in the front seat, Alexia started the car and asked, “And how about you? Did you enjoy the game?”
“Yeah! I loved it! It was amaziiiing!” you said, imitating Mia’s enthusiasm, which made Alexia laugh.
Mia, still full of energy, playfully called out, “Hey! Meanie mommy,” which made you laugh and apologize in a cooing voice.
The car ride was filled with warmth and laughter, a perfect end to an unforgettable day.
——
Arriving at Alexia’s apartment, you and Mia were enveloped in the cozy ambiance of her home. The first thing Mia did was dash over to Nala, who was lounging on her favorite spot.
Mia greeted her with an enthusiastic hug and a flurry of kisses, her excitement palpable. Nala responded with playful wagging of her tail and happy barks, clearly delighted by the attention.
Alexia joined in, her laughter filling the room as she played with Mia and Nala. The three of them engaged in a lively game of fetch, with Mia giggling every time Nala brought the toy back. The joy in the room was infectious, and you found yourself smiling, watching the delightful scene unfold.
Meanwhile, you decided to take a moment for yourself and wandered into the kitchen. You poured a glass of water and savored a few quiet minutes.
The soothing hum of the refrigerator and the occasional clink of the glass were calming. Just as you were about to finish your drink, you felt a familiar and comforting sensation: arms wrapping around your waist from behind.
You smiled, leaning back into the embrace. Alexia’s warmth surrounded you, and you felt an immediate sense of peace. She planted a tender kiss on your forehead, her lips lingering slightly as she embraced you.
Turning in her arms, you looked up into her eyes and reached for her lips. You shared a soft, lingering kiss, the world outside seeming to fade away as you lost yourselves in the intimacy of the moment.
“Did you catch that amazing goal I scored today?” Alexia asked, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
“I did,” you replied, your smile widening. “It was incredible!”
Alexia’s cheeks flushed with pleasure. “Good,” she said with a mischievous grin. “I scored it just for you.”
You teased her playfully, “Do you use that line on every women you want in your bed?”
Alexia’s smile softened, and she shook her head gently. “Only one,” she said, her voice tender. She then rubbed her nose against yours before pressing her lips to yours in a sweet kiss.
As the kiss deepened, Alexia hummed softly and whispered against your lips, “You look so stunning in my jersey. But I bet you’d look even more amazing without it.” Her voice was filled with warmth and affection, making your heart race with excitement.
You laughed, enjoying the playful exchange. “Maybe one day you’ll get to see,” you said, your tone light and teasing.
Alexia’s arms tightened around you, and she beamed with satisfaction. “Can you believe you went from ‘in your dreams’ to ‘maybe’?” she said triumphantly, her eyes dancing with joy.
You laughed and leaned in for another kiss, this one more passionate, as the joy of the moment enveloped you both. The kiss was filled with the depth of your feelings, and you both savored the connection.
Just then, a small voice broke through with an emphatic “Ewwww!” You pulled away abruptly, eyes wide with surprise, and turned to see Mia standing there with a mix of curiosity and concern.
“Mommy, why are you kissing Alexia?” Mia asked, her brows furrowed. You glanced at Alexia for guidance, but she looked just as taken aback.
“You can’t kiss her! She has a girlfriend,” Mia declared, her little face serious. You were amazed at how much she remembered and understood.
“Um… I…” you began, struggling to find the right words.
Sensing the need for clarity, Alexia walked over to Mia and gently knelt in front of her, her eyes filled with sincerity. She gestured for you to join them, which you did, feeling a mix of anxiety and affection.
“Mia, sweetheart,” Alexia began softly, her voice tender and earnest, “I kissed your mommy because I really, really like her. I care about her a lot, and that’s why I kissed her.”
Mia looked at Alexia, her confusion slowly giving way to understanding. “But what about the girl at the store? You were holding hands with her?” Mia asked, her little face full of questions.
You interrupted . “um…that girl was just a friend of Alexia, honey. Sometimes friends hold hands too, just like you might hold hands with your friends.”
Mia seemed to accept this explanation, her face lighting up with a new understanding. “Oh,” she said, her tone softer. “But are you in love with my mommy? Is that why you kissed her?”
Before you could respond, Alexia took a deep breath and looked at Mia with heartfelt sincerity. “Yes, Mia, I am in love with your mommy. Very, very much,” she said, her voice filled with emotion.
“I hope that’s okay with you because it means I’ll be spending a lot of time with you too, if your mommy wants that.”
You looked at Alexia with surprise and admiration, deeply touched by her openness and the depth of her feelings.
Mia’s face lit up with joy, and she threw her arms around both you and Alexia in a warm, enthusiastic hug. “Yes, you can be in love with my mommy! I want to spend all my time with you and Nala! You’re my bestest friends!” she exclaimed, her happiness evident. She then ran back to Nala, eager to continue their playtime.
As you and Alexia stood up, you looked at her with a mixture of wonder and love. “So, you’re really in love with me?” you asked, your voice trembling with emotion.
“I am, more than I ever thought possible,” Alexia said, her eyes shimmering with sincerity. “I finally figured out what was that feeling in my stomach… You make me so incredibly happy. When I’m with you, nothing else seems to matter.”
Feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, you kissed her deeply, the connection between you both palpable. The kiss was a reflection of your deep feelings, filled with passion and tenderness.
“I’m in love with you too,” you whispered against her lips, your voice filled with heartfelt truth. Alexia’s eyes brightened with joy as she picked you up and spun you around in a joyful embrace.
“Is it official? Are we together?” she asked, her voice filled with hopeful anticipation.
“Yes, we are,” you replied with a beaming smile. You covered her face with affectionate kisses, and she laughed, her joy radiating from her.
“I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” Alexia said, her voice glowing with happiness as she held you close. The world around you felt perfectly right, enveloped in the warmth and love you shared.
——
“Hola, guapa!” Alexia greeted with a bright smile as she entered the shop, leaning in for a quick but tender kiss.
“Hola, Carmen!” she added, turning to Carmen with a warm hug. Carmen reciprocated the hug with equal affection, clearly delighted by the visit.
You and Alexia have been together for six months, and these months have been the most fulfilling of your life. Alexia has been the perfect partner, balancing her caring nature with her playful teasing and occasional cheeky jokes. Despite her antics, you wouldn’t change a thing about her.
“I’m heading to training, but I just had to drop by to see your gorgeous face and hear your lovely voice,” Alexia said, her tone flirtatious and full of affection.
“You’re really inflating my ego today,” you laughed, enjoying the compliment.
Alexia’s eyes sparkled mischievously. “Do you want to go on a date tonight? Alba can come by your apartment to look after Mia. I’ve already asked her, and she’s more than happy to,” she proposed.
In the past six months, you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Alba and Eli, Alexia’s mom, both of whom have been incredibly warm and welcoming towards you.
They were also quite surprised, because you were apparently first woman Alexia had ever brought home to meet them.
“I’d love that,” you replied, a smile spreading across your face. You leaned over the counter, and Alexia promptly met you with a sweet kiss.
“See you tonight, mi amor,” Alexia said as she pulled away, giving you a flirtatious wink before heading out the door.
Carmen looked at you with a knowing smile. “Looks like someone’s in for a special night,” she said, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
“Please, don’t ” you replied, trying to maintain your composure as you got back to work.
That evening, Alexia picked you up and took you to a charming restaurant that you had been wanting to try.
As you arrived, she held the door open for you with a courteous smile, and you both were shown to a cozy table by a window with a view of the city lights.
“I’ve been looking forward to this all day,” Alexia said as you sat down, her eyes shining with excitement. She reached across the table, taking your hand in hers.
“So have I,” you replied, squeezing her hand gently. “It’s been such a perfect day already.”
Alexia’s smile widened as she perused the menu. “What are you in the mood for tonight? I’m thinking we should share some tapas and then maybe have that dessert we’ve been eyeing.”
“That sounds wonderful,” you agreed. “I’m craving the croquetas and the patatas bravas.”
As you waited for your food, you both talked about everything from the latest football news to funny anecdotes from your week.
Alexia updated you on her training sessions and some of the amusing moments from practice, her laughter filling the air and making you smile.
“So, I scored this amazing goal today,” Alexia said with a proud grin. “You should’ve seen the way the ball curved into the top corner. I’m still buzzing from it.”
“You were incredible,” you said, your eyes sparkling with admiration. “I was watching on the live stream, and I had to rewind it a couple of times to make sure I wasn’t imagining it!”
As the evening continued, the food arrived, and you both enjoyed sharing plates of delicious tapas. The conversation flowed effortlessly, filled with laughter and light-hearted teasing.
When dessert came, you both indulged in a decadent chocolate mousse, feeding each other bites and exchanging playful banter.
By the time the check arrived, you both felt completely content. Alexia walked you to the car, her hand intertwined with yours. As she drove, she glanced over at you with a soft smile.
“I’ve had such a great time tonight,” she said, her voice filled with warmth. “Being with you always feels like a perfect escape from everything else.”
“Me too,” you replied, leaning over to kiss her cheek. “Every moment with you is just… right.”
Alexia parked the car back at your place, and as you both walked to your door, you turned to her with a tender expression.
“You’re staying the night, right?” you asked, your voice filled with a mix of eagerness and affection.
“Of course,” Alexia responded with a playful grin, leaning in to give you a soft, lingering kiss. She then gave you a light pat on the butt, making you both laugh softly.
Once inside your apartment, you moved quietly to avoid disturbing Mia, who was soundly asleep in her room. You thanked Alba for taking care of her, chatting briefly about the night’s events and exchanging warm goodbyes before she left.
After changing into more relaxed attire, you and Alexia headed to the bedroom. The room was softly lit, casting a warm glow over everything.
You and Alexia were making out in your bed and as Alexia’s kisses grew more insistent and heated, the atmosphere between you became electric. You felt a surge of confidence and gently pulled away, your heart racing.
You removed your shirt slowly, letting it fall to the floor, and then slipped off your shorts, leaving yourself completely naked. Straddling Alexia, you could feel her eyes on you, her admiration evident in the way she looked at you.
“Dame un pellizco.”Alexia said suddenly, her voice tinged with disbelief. Her eyes were fixed on your chest, not meeting yours. “I need to make sure this isn’t a dream.” (Pinch me)
You raised an eyebrow, both amused and touched. “What?”
“You always said this would only happen in my dreams,” she explained, her gaze still locked on your chest. “I need to be sure it’s real.”
You chuckled softly, guiding her hands to your breasts. “Does this feel real enough?” you asked, and she responded by gently squeezing, causing you to let out a soft moan.
“So real,” she murmured, her voice filled with awe. With a loving smile, she wrapped an arm around your waist and shifted your position so that you were lying on your back, with her on top of you. Her kisses traveled from your neck to your collarbone, each touch tender and full of longing.
“I can’t wait to finally have you,” she whispered against your skin, her lips moving to your chest. Her kisses were warm and tender, sending shivers of pleasure through you.
You moaned softly, lost in the sensation of her touch.
After finishing, you both lay there, panting and completely naked. You rested on top of Alexia, savoring the moment as her fingers traced soft, calming patterns on your back.
“How was it?” she asked softly, her voice a mixture of curiosity and satisfaction.
You lifted your head from her chest, meeting her gaze. With a tender smile, you kissed her lips gently. “Incredible,” you whispered, placing another light kiss on her lips.
“I did it,” Alexia said with a playful grin, her eyes twinkling with triumph. “I told you I’d never give up. I promised you that one day you’d be naked in my bed,” she said, smirking proudly.
You arched an eyebrow, a mischievous smile on your face. “Well, technically, you haven’t fully achieved that yet, since this is my bed,” you teased.
Alexia chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “It’s only a matter of time before we’re doing this in my bed,” she said, her grin widening. “And on my kitchen table, the counter, in my bathroom… I’ll make sure we make love in every room and piece of furniture in my apartment” she added with a sultry smirk.
“Hmmm, that sounds like quite the adventure,” you replied with a playful tone. “But for now, let’s head to the shower and get dressed. I have a feeling tomorrow morning will involve a tiny person bouncing on us,” you said, getting up and stretching.
Alexia groaned but grinned as she started to get up. “You’re probably right,” she said, her voice a mix of amusement and resignation.
As you both moved toward the shower, the warmth and intimacy of the evening lingered, promising more moments of closeness and affection to come.
——
The next morning, you awoke to the gentle sensation of a hand softly caressing your cheek.
“Hola,” Alexia whispered tenderly, and you instinctively moved closer, savoring her warmth. “Hola,” you murmured back, leaning in for a quick, loving peck on her lips.
“Mmm, I could really get used to waking up next to you every day,” she said softly, closing her eyes as a contented sigh escaped her lips. You traced your fingers through her hair, feeling a deep sense of peace.
“Me too,” you agreed, your heart swelling with happiness. Alexia then wrapped her arms around you, pulling you on top of her. Her gaze was filled with tenderness as she said, “Te amo.”
The words caught you off guard, and for a moment, you were speechless. It was the first time Alexia had ever said those words to you.
After a few seconds of letting the moment sink in, you responded with equal fervor, “I love you too, so much.” You kissed her deeply, the passion of the moment outweighing any thoughts of morning breath.
As you pulled away, Alexia’s eyes sparkled with affection. “Ay! By the way, I was thinking, you never finished that story you started at the store and then at the date. I’m dying to know how it ended!” she said with a playful pout. You chuckled at her eagerness.
“Oh, right! So what happened next is that Mia and I…” you began, but before you could finish, the bedroom door swung open with a burst of excitement. Alexia groaned in mock frustration, clearly disappointed at the interruption.
“Mommy! Ale!” Mia exclaimed, her tiny feet pattering as she clambered onto the bed with your help.
“Good morning, my little sunshine,” you greeted, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek.
“Morning, nena,” Alexia said warmly, planting a kiss on Mia’s cheek as well. Mia giggled, clearly delighted by the affection.
“I’m hungry!” Mia declared, patting her stomach with a dramatic flourish.
“Ooh, the little monster is hungry!” Alexia said with a grin, sitting up and playfully nudging Mia. You slid off her, and Alexia began to tickle Mia, who erupted in infectious laughter.
As you watched the two of them, a deep sense of contentment enveloped you. Here you were, in Barcelona, living a life filled with love and joy.
You felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and fulfillment, knowing that you had finally found the happy ending you’d always dreamed of… even if it was with a former womanizer.
FIN.

‘I hate him! I hate him!! I hate him!!!’ I screamed in my mind as I wiped my tears again, getting out of my car. ‘That fucking bastard!’ I wanted nothing more than to actually scream out what I was feeling but I just wanted to get in, grab my shit, and go. I used the spare key I almost wanted to shove down his throat, to get into his family home. I haphazardly tossed my shoes off and barely slid on the house slippers before I started on my way into the home.
With my tears blurring my vision to next to nothing, my thoughts were going a million miles a minute with the constantly recurring thought of how heavy my finger feels without the ring that bastard had the audacity to promise himself to me with. I didn’t see the hulking figure in front of me, having heard the harsh shutting of the door. I crashed into a solid chest and almost fell had it not been for the Firefighter’s fast reflexes.(Am I funny now??)
“I-I’m so sorry, sir. I-,” I tried and failed to suppress a sob that interrupted my sentence, “I di-didn’t se-ee you..” My body shook with my repressed sobs, though I couldn’t bring myself to care. In my state, I also hadn’t realized that Shouto’s father hadn’t let me go yet, nor had I realized he was shirtless.
“Y/n? What happened?” Enji asked, a hand coming up to cup my face and brush away the tears. I hadn’t even had a moment’s thought of how intimate the action was. I was simply comforted by the, vaguely surprisingly gentle hold.
“I-I don’t.. I don’t wan-want to c-cause anything..” I said through the tears still running down my face. The upside to the tears running meant that they weren’t all in my eyes, so I could actually see to an extent.
“Don’t worry about that, Little Flame, what’s happened?”
“Sh-Shouto…” Even saying his name wrought a strike of pain to my heart. Apparently, I physically cringed at it, making Enji pull me into a warm embrace. Burying my face in his bare chest, I felt content enough to continue, “He-He cheated on me…” I mumbled, just loud enough that he could hear. Suddenly, the hold around me tightened, not in a painful way, no, in a protective way that made me feel safe for reasons I didn’t understand in my emotional state. It almost took my thoughts away from the imaginary weight on my hand even with the lack thereof.
“He what?” Enji all but growled, I could somehow tell, though, that he wasn’t angry with me. I nodded into his form and curled in on myself a bit more.
“W-with Yaomomo..” I shuttered out, seemingly a substitute for the sobs that wracked my body just minutes ago. It seems I was out of tears. I could feel his fists clench before he pulled back, holding me by my shoulders.
“That is unacceptable, Little Flame. I promise he will be dealt with accordingly. In the meantime, is there anything I can do for you?” The large man asked, the look in his eyes seeming like he already had something in mind. The feeling of safety and security he gave me, as well as the powerful look in his eye, I decided in under 5 seconds.
“C-can you hold me..?” I asked weakly, wanting to feel his strong arms around me again.
“Of course, Little Flame, anything for you,” He gave me a smile that sent a shiver down my spine for all the wrong reasons since he’s my, now Ex(whether he knew it or not), fiancé’s father. That thought didn’t stay long as all I wanted to focus on was the comfort he could give me.
He effortlessly lifted me into his arms and moved to the family room and sat down in the large armchair with me now in his lap. He led me to lean into his chest as he caressed my back with both hands. With his entire body naturally dwarfing me, his hands encompassed most of the space, his left hand gently stroking over my lower back while his right stayed between my shoulder blades.
My breathing returned to normal while I inhaled his smoky scent and let myself feel his body against mine, lightly blushing when I finally processed that he had nothing on his very built torso. I moved my head closer to his neck from where it lay on his shoulder, my hands beginning to slide up and down his hard chest slightly, feeling the sparse, coarse chest hair. Slowly, his left hand moved lower and dipped under my sweater top and stroked his fingers lightly on the skin just above my where my leggings ended.
His right hand smoothed down my spine before he planted it heavily on my thigh. He stroked his thumb over the area, so close to my mound, and it made me clench around nothing. He’s my cheating ex’s father, I knew I wasn’t supposed to be doing this, any of this, with him, but he’s just so big and warm and comforting and I’d be a boldfaced liar if I said I’d never thought about it. I’d also be a liar if I said part of me didn’t want to get revenge on Shouto, and you know what they say, ‘If he cheats, fuck his dad,’ no matter if it makes me feel the tiniest bit guilty.
Lifting my head up to look at him I inadvertently arched my back to look into his eyes. My gaze flickered to his lips and I noticed that his did the same to mine. Before I could even think of any reason not to, I leaned forward and captured his lips. He immediately returned the kiss and slid his left hand up my back, under my sweater top, to pull me closer.
“Yo! I’m home!” The front door opened and closed as Natsuo announced his presence. I startled and started to pull back but Enji stopped me.
“Don’t worry, Little Flame. Natsuo! Do you know if Shouto will be home soon?” Enji called down the hall to Genkan.
“Uh, I think so, why?” His voice got closer to the family room and my panic started to steadily grow with each step at the prospect of being found like this. The misunderstanding could be the end of me. As far as I knew only Enji and I knew about the affair, or at least that I knew as Shouto had no idea I had found out. So if my supposed fiancé’s brother found me in their father’s lap, I could only imagine the media storm I would fall prey to.
“Good. So he can see what he lost.” The smirk was evident in his voice and I was ready for the shouts and accusations as Natsu turned the corner.
“Oh, shit. You girls really mean it when you say that if a guy cheats on you, sleep with their dad, huh? Respect. Definitely gonna make sure not to piss off my girlfriend…” The lack of extreme reaction shocked me and I could only gawk at Natsu as he moved to sit down on the couch furthest from us.
“I- w-wait… What..? You know?” I stutter out, still gawking.
“I found out last night. I don’t have your number so I couldn’t tell you so I tried to find you but I had no clue where you were, sorry.” He bowed his head in genuine apology and I felt slightly better knowing that Natsu, even being Shouto’s brother, wanted to tell me of his betrayal.
“Now, Little Flame. Let me make you feel good, and even better when you can show him that you know he fucked up.” Enji’s voice brought me back and, with a newfound enthusiasm, I dove back in and crashed my lips to his, heat blooming in my core at the sound of his deep baritone voice cussing, for me no less. His left hand then moved down to my other thigh where he squeezed the flesh and angled them so his thumbs would both be rubbing at the edges of my cunt. I moaned wantonly into his mouth and rolled my hips to both grind on his bulge and try to get his hands further on my clothed pussy.
“Hey, Natsuo! I’m here! What did you want to talk to me about?” Shouto’s oldest brother, Touya— though he said to call him Dabi— called into the house with the sound of the front door opening and closing again.
“In the living room! I guess it’s more show and tell now, though.”
“Show and tell? What are you, fi- Holy fuck…” Dabi stopped mid-step as he turned the corner and then started to laugh in amazement, “Damn, what the hell did Shouto do?! If you’re fuckin’ the Old Man he must have really fucked up.” He spoke through his laughing fit before he wiped an imaginary tear and smirked in our direction. “But, uh, hey, if you’re lookin’ for revenge on the brat, I’m always free, too, babe.” I rested my head on Enji’s chest sideways to look at the tattooed man and giggled as I never stopped the motion of my hips.
“I’ll keep that in mind next time he cheats.” I said bitterly and got a sick sense of satisfaction when I saw the way Dabi’s eyes widened and his mouth dropped open.
“Holy shit, forget revenge fucking his dad, I’m gonna help you set the bastard on fire.” I had heard stories of his pyromaniac tendencies but I didn’t think they were real, or at least I thought they were massively exaggerated.
“How about the three of us go afterwards, Touya.” Natsuo’s voice called from the couch and I returned my full attention to Enji when he kissed and nipped at my neck with a possessive growl in my ear.
“Sounds good, Natsu. Now scoot over, ain’t no way I’m missing this shit.” The pleased man trotted over to his brother and sat, watching in both lewd interest and smug satisfaction. Getting impatient, I whined and ground my hips harder against the behemoth of a man.
“Please..” My voice came out high-pitched and needy, “Please, Daddy…” Enji’s breath hitched at the name and I panicked for only a second before another, more possessive growl sounded against my throat, and his hands wrapped tightly around my hips and moved my hips to roughly press into his as he leaned back enough to capture my lips.
“Damn, how am I both not surprised at all and yet entirely unprepared for that?” Dabi muttered to Natsuo who only offered a breathless chuckle in return.
Finally getting impatient, Enji slid his hands up from my waist and took my sweater top with the lift. I sat up to help him shuck it off and teasingly tossed it at Dabi. He whooped and jokingly told Natsuo to hand over his wallet. I rolled my eyes with a smile before my spine stiffened with a shocked gasp and moan when Enji’s thumbs dug into the seam of my leggings, with the rest of his big hands pulling the fabric taut, and tearing into them to expose my soaked panties.
“Holy shit… I mean, I figured it’s been a while since he got laid but, fuck, that was…” Natsuo spoke, both bewildered and kind of amazed at the actions of his father and the strength he exhibited in the moment.
“Desperate? Savage? Insane only the most pent-up kind of horny can make you? Yea.” Dabi cheekily replied, still not taking his eyes off the scene as he leaned toward his brother to mutter his response. Enji kept a hand at the apex of my thighs surrounded by the remains of my pants and used the other to pull me back down for a sweet kiss to my lips, to my cheek, and my jaw.
“I’ll buy you a new pair, Little Flame, I’m sorry,” he apologized, though it only sounded about half genuine in the moment, as he nipped at my lobe. His lips attached to my neck as his hand returned to the shreds of fabric and he maneuvered it enough that he could pull it easily enough down my thighs without disturbing our connection.
“Fuck… Enji, please..” I whined, the throbbing in my core becoming too much. He growled lowly at my voice and nipped at the skin just below my ear and moved his hand back to my soaked-through panties.
“Needy, Little Flame, huh?” He asked teasingly as he slid his thumb over my cunt through my underwear. My grip on his broad shoulders tightened and I let a chalky breath out at the pleasure just a layer closer to my heat. As if he could sense my thoughts, Enji moved his thumb to sneak under the hem of my panties to stroke my pussy directly. The sudden stimulation had me crying out and arching my back, pushing my chest against his.
Enji used his free hand to pop open the clasp on my bra and help me pull it off, leaving my breasts exposed. Dabi whistled and I didn’t have a chance to give a witty response when the hulking man beneath me took one of my nipples between his lips and sucked. I gasped and clenched around nothing which he must have felt. His fingers moved and he pulled the fabric to the side of my pussy and stroked through the labia with his fore and middle fingers before he eased them into my hole. While he sucked on my tit and lightly nipped at the bud, he slowly moved his fingers in and out, in and out, in and out of me. He turned his wrist over to have his closed palm facing upwards and sped up his ministrations.
“So tight, he hasn’t been taking care of you, has he?” Enji popped off of my nipple and spoke.
“T-Too.. busy fucking my best-best friend, I guess…” I breathed and looked down at his face which held a lust-clouded anger, a fire in his eyes as he gazed up at me. My gaze flickered down to where he was finger fucking my cunt and I saw the dark patch on the front of his sweatpants from my dripping arousal.
“Which one is her best friend again?” Dabi murmured to Natsuo, clicking a lighter repeatedly, likely a fidget the Pyromaniac had developed.
“Uh, the one with the giant ponytail and her tits always out.” Natsuo summed her up, making me giggle breathlessly while their father fingered me.
“Oh, yea, that one. Wait- Yaoyorozu? The brat of that one ridiculously rich and snobby family we do business with?”
“That’s the one. Yea, I never liked her, she was somehow a little brat and a stick in the mud at the same time.” My instinctive response was to defend her, say she was different if she was comfortable around you, but I stopped myself, quickly remembering just what kind of person she really is if she would betray me like this, to fuck my fiancé behind my back and have the audacity to lie to my face and still smile at me as if she wasn’t a homewrecking whore.
“Oh, fuck. Y’know I always did was want to watch them crash and burn.” I smiled and shivered at Dabi’s sentiment and moaned loudly when Enji’s thick fingers brushed against the spongy spot inside me. He smirked and brought his hand back up to hold the back of my neck to pull me into another kiss.
Even with his fingers plunging into my heat again and again, I felt far too empty so I lightly scraped my nails down his chest to the waistband of his sweatpants. He groaned into my mouth and his grip tightened on my nape and his fingers in my pussy plunged faster and harder. I moaned— a whiny, high-pitched noise— against his lips and rushed to yank his pants down below his solid cock.
Finally getting it free, I wrapped my hand around his dick and began to stroke. I gathered my own arousal on my fingers and smeared it over his tip to mix it with his pre-cum and used the mixture to lube my strokes. With each stroke, his kiss became more hungry and he moved his fingers faster and more deliberately, until finally, he decided enough was enough and pulled away from my lips.
“Oh my God, is it finally happening?” Dabi asked no one, a teasing lilt to his voice, though it had an underlying excitement.
“I think so, dude.” Natsuo responded, sounding almost exasperated but had poorly concealed excitement lacing his words. Enji pulled my hand away from his length and moved to try and position my heat over him to sink me down. Try being the operative word. We had managed to position me to hover over his cock but in the position we were in, I couldn’t properly sink down or even get him to enter me. I whined in frustration and looked at him desperate and needy to be filled.
“Don’t worry, Little Flame, I’ll take care of you.” The behemoth of a man promised me and sealed it with a kiss before he grabbed my hips firmly and lifted me up as he stood. I squealed in surprise and gripped his shoulders for balance before he set me down.
“Enji..?” I asked, wondering what he wanted me to do next. He smirked at how I looked to him for instruction, likely the action had pleased his dominance.
“Good girl, looking to Daddy for instruction. Bend over, against the chair.” He said, the smirk still present on his red and swollen lips. Dabi and Natsuo both snickered at their father but I hardly paid mind to it in my desperation to be filled by Enji’s fat cock. I quickly complied and bend myself over the arm of the chair, facing the brothers who had their gaze locked on the scene before them. Quickly after I got into the proper position, Enji got behind me and grabbed my hip with one hand and used the other to press his tip to my sopping hole.
He grabbed my other hip and pushed in and bottomed out with one hard thrust, pulling back on my hips to bring my hips flush with his. I moaned loudly when his cock buried so deep inside me and filled me better and more than Shouto ever had. His lean muscle had nothing on his father’s hulking form that encompassed me so wholly.
“F-fuck-! So.. So fucking big…” I whimpered out, the burn of the stretch was just this side of painful. I felt more than heard Enji’s low chuckle vibrating through my body, starting from my cunt, where we were connected.
“I’ll bet he never filled you up like this, huh? Certainly not recently. He truly is incompetent for throwing away such a perfect good girl.” He growled out, grinding his hips against mine to accentuate his point.
“No-! Kami no, he could never fill me up like this!” I cried out when he pulled back only a bit to roughly rut his hips against my ass, his balls slapping against my clit. I moaned loudly when he started moving, pulling back and thrusting back in. His cock dragged along my twitching walls and it felt like heaven. He sped up his thrusts and began pounding into me, jolting me forward and making my ass ripple against his forceful hips and my tits jiggle.
“Fuck-! Daddy! Feels- Feels so good~!” I moaned lewdly and felt his rhythm falter when the sound of the door cut through the living room and I stiffened up at the knowledge that my cheating Ex-Fiancé was here. In the house that his father was currently fucking me in.
“I’m home!” Shouto announced his arrival and I could hear the shuffling of him taking his shoes off and transferring to house slippers before he would start heading down the entry hall. Enji manhandled me easily to lift me to my knees on the armchair for just a moment before gripping the backs of my thighs to pick me up. My back was pressed to his chest and he continued his thrusts with a new vigor.
“You ready to show him what he’s missing, Little Flame? How much he fucked up?” The man at my back growled into my ear, kissing just below my lobe and biting the juncture of my neck and shoulder. He never stopped his thrusts, fucking up into me. I nodded hurriedly, suppressing a whine as I clenched around him and shot my grip to his forearms and dug my nails in.
“Yo, Shouto! We’re in the living room!” Dabi called smugly to his youngest brother, shooting me a smirk and a wink. ‘You can do this, princess.’ He mouthed to me with a nod. Even with Enji giving me mind-numbing pleasure, I managed to nod back.
I heard the shuffle of Shouto coming down the hallway and tried to prepare myself. I let myself focus on the drag of Enji’s cock on my walls to relax my stiff body before I let myself moan out just as Shouto was turning the corner. At the noise, his eyes widened and shot to me. To me in his father’s grasp, his cock pumping in and out of me.
“What the fuck..?!” He gasped. At first, I had been anxious, a twisting in my gut at the situation, at what would happen, but that melted away when anger replaced it. Burning rage twisted in my chest when I saw that he had the gall to look upset, to look hurt.
“Sh- aah- Shouto.. Hey.” I greeted as casually as I could with a cock slamming into me, reaching my cervix and even feeling like it would almost bust through it.
“What… What the hell are you doing?!” Shouto asked, looking bewildered.
“Haahh..! Welcome home~!” I called out in a whiny voice, preparing myself to reveal that I know he’s a lying, cheating bastard, “How’s Momo?” I asked cheekily.
“Wha.. Momo..?” The bastard tried to mask panic for confusion which only fueled the fire of my anger.
“Yea, did she- Oh fuck!- Did she feel good? Does she feel better than me? I guess she does if- if you’ve been fucking her rather than your own fiancé.” I stated through moans and my voice shaking from Enji bouncing me eagerly on his dick.
“Wh-what..? I- Fuck. Y/n I can explain. Please just- I’m sorry! It wasn’t supposed to-” He began to plead, a desperate look on his face that both made me even more pissed yet also like I wanted to hear him out, like maybe that meant he didn’t mean it and that he would come back. Enji must have seen, or sensed, or something, that I was feeling so as he nipped at the shell of my ear.
“Don’t do that, Little Flame. Don’t let yourself fall. Remember what he did, why you’re here,” he muttered into my ear and kissed my jaw softly as he slowed his thrusts to deliberately drag his cock against my sweet spot. Quickly, I remembered exactly that and steeled myself once more.
“Explain what? That you were fucking my best friend? That you fucking cheated on me? Were you fucking her the whole time? Before you fucking proposed to me? Before you promised yourself to me? Promised to love me for the rest of our lives?” I asked angrily, my fingernails digging into his father’s arms harder.
“I- Baby, please. Just come here and talk to me. Please just- just stop.” He begged, pointedly not answering, giving me my answer.
“Fuck. You.” I panted, feeling my climax building with each time Enji rammed into my g-spot. “You don’t get to act all hurt. You broke my fucking heart, you bastard. You fucking cheated on me and then had the fucking audacity to propose to me and act like you loved me. Did you ever fucking love me? Or were you using me?” I demanded, tears pricking my eyes. I chose to believe that they were from Enji fucking me so fucking good rather than letting myself know that they were from the pain I was experiencing all over again from the man in front of me.
“Of course I did! Please, Y/n, baby, I do love you. I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry…” The bi-coloured man continued to beg with me.
“I don’t- oh Kami- I don’t fucking believe you. You piece of- Oh fuck!- You piece of shit!” I yelled at him.
“That’s right, Little Flame. I’ve got you. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. Daddy’s got you,” Enji purred, purposely loud enough for Shouto to hear. Shouto tried to glare at his father but it was more defeated than truly pissed and spiteful.
“Ah-! Yes-! Yes, Daddy! I know.. I know you’ve got me… Oh Kami you feel so fucking good… So full. So fucking big…” I rambled on, shifting from taunting Shouto to losing myself to the pleasure of Enji pounding into me.
Shouto stood at the mouth of the hallway and looked torn between staying and watching, maybe even continuing to plead his case, and leaving. The turmoil filled me with a sense of satisfaction. He was fighting a war in his head and it pleased me to no end. Now he knew even a sliver of what I felt when I found out he’d been fucking my best friend— Ex best friend. I would have made more taunting remarks at him had I not been nearly overwhelmed by my approaching orgasm and Enji fucking me dumb.
“Fuck! Enji- Daddy! I’m close... I’m so.. so fucking close-!” I cried out, my hips bucking against him. He released a pleased growl next to my ear and bit and sucked on my neck possessively.
“Go ahead, Little Flame, cum on my cock. Cum on my cock and I’ll fill you up. I’ll breed you so full, fuller than you’ve ever been.” He hummed to me and taunted Shouto further.
I let myself forget about the fucker in front of me and only focus on the pleasure coursing through me and the tightening knot in my belly. The knot pulled tighter and tighter and tighter until it finally snapped and I came— hard. Harder than I have in years. Harder than I have since before I started dating Shouto.
My orgasm gushed around him and he roared a moan at the tightness of my cunt constricting so hard around him. Around his fat cock. As his hips came up to slam hard into me, he used gravity and his grip on my thighs to bring me down even harder as he came. His tip slammed so hard into my cervix I was certain he truly had busted through. Ropes and ropes of white hot cum gushed into me, almost like lava in my lower belly with how hot his cum was. I cried out in a whorish moan at the feeling of him pumping me so full of his cum. His cum filled my walls and my womb yet it was still too much. His jizz proceeded to leak out of me, squeezing between the taut stretch of my pussy and his thick cock to drip down his balls.
“Fuck… That was hot and rewarding.” Dabi smirked, fisting his spent dick. I didn’t know when he had pulled it out or even when he started jacking off but the sight was fucking hot. His chest heaving and cum splattered over his fist and his toned belly. When he had taken off his shirt I wasn’t sure but I was silently appreciative. His intricate tattoos spread down further than his shirt had allowed me to see and they were even in other places, including leading below the waistband of his pants. His bare chest exposed his nipple piercings I had heard about and it filled me with an exhausted excitement.
“Very.” I breathed, smirking at him as I laid limply against Enji’s chest, “Though I might take you up on your offer later, too.” I teased, though it held actual consideration.
“Oh, believe me, princess, if you do, you will not regret it.” He smirked wolfishly back at me with a wink that would have made heat bloom in my cheeks had they not already been flushed from the situation and Enji’s rough fucking. Shouto stood for another moment, looking defeated and hurt before he turned and marched down the hall back to the Genkan.
“Wait-!” Natsuo started but was cut off by Dabi putting a hand up, “What..?”
“Let him go running back to his whore. That way, Y/n will have time to recover before we go.” Dabi explained, glaring at the spot his brother had been.
“Go..? Go where?” Natsuo asked, lost.
“Go after him, duh. Don’t you remember the plan? We’re gonna set him and his slut on fire.” The raven-haired man smirked evilly. It made me happy that he was so serious about that but it also filled me with concern that he was so serious about it.
“Okay, no. We are not setting anyone on fire. You can get revenge some other way, just without the pyromania.” Enji instructed as he sat back down in the armchair and let my legs rest more comfortably. He wrapped his arms around me loosely and pressed soft kisses to my shoulder and neck, leading up to my jaw before lifting a hand to turn my head for a sweet kiss to my lips. I giggled against his lips and happily relaxed into him as I indulged in the kiss.
“Ugh, fine, Old Man… Killjoy,” Dabi said, practically pouting. “We’ll just have to ruin him or something. Get the evidence out and let him be his own downfall.” He shrugged halfheartedly, clearly not pleased by the relatively docile plan.
“Maybe we can fuck up his car, too. Go full Carrie Underwood on him.” I suggested and that got his attention, his expression lighting up, making me laugh.
“Perfect. First, though, we gotta get you off the Old Man’s dick and cleaned up.” He smirked and raised a brow at my blushing face. Wordlessly, Natsuo handed his brother a box of tissues as he pulled out his phone to pull up the evidence he had found that he had wanted to tell me about the night before.
“I got enough here to send to the media, but if you really want to make it stick for a while, you might want to get some more.” He stated casually, happy to help me get revenge on his younger brother. I smiled at the family all helping me and already started planning ways to thank them.
Home-cooked meals seemed like a good start.

I encountered a drug called "Dextromethorphan" when looking up things that react with grapefruits for a fic. I found out it's been banned in Sweden since the 90s, so I couldn't use it for this specific story, but if you've got any interesting history I'd be happy so know!
Are you ready for this? Like. Ask yourself. Are you really ready for this?
In 1954, a researcher with the US Public Health Service received $282,215 (1954 dollars) from the US Navy, ostensibly to find a non-addictive alternative to an opiate drug called codeine (used for pain and and as a cough suppressant).
So the researcher found a bunch of people who had substance abuse disorder and tested 800 substances on them, trying to find ones that couldn't cause physical or psychological dependence, even on people who were prone to that sort of thing.
(Now, you might be asking if this experiment was ethical. The USPHS was concurrently doing the infamous Tuskegee Syphilis Study, so while I couldn't find any concrete answer, imma guess no.)
Out of these 800 tested substances, we use 3 today: propoxyphene (used as a painkiller), diphenoxylate (used as a diarrhea medication), and dextromethophan (a cough suppressant (and, as of 2022, part of a fast-acting antidepressant)).
Importantly, it was later noted that all of these are addictive substances and today most of them require a prescription. Though depending on where you are in the world, you might just have to be over 21 and show an ID.
You might think this sounds like a pretty standard story.
You would be wrong.
Because while the US Navy was the one handing the money to the USPHS, the US Navy had come by it via the Central Intelligence Agency.
Yes. The good ol' CIA.
So what stake did the CIA have in a non-addictive codeine replacement? Nothing, it turns out. That's just what they'd told the US Navy. What they really wanted was an incapacitant- a drug that causes incapacitation like unconsciousness or continuous hallucinations- without killing. Incapacitants are also useful for discrediting prominent political figures by making them look like they have severe mental health concerns, which was another reason the CIA wanted them.
This was part of a project called MKPILOT.
And wouldn't you like to know which of the three listed above they liked the most? Dextromethorphan. Because at high doses it causes severe- and incapacitating- hallucinations (this is also why it is banned in Sweden).
The problem with it is that it requires really, really high doses (about 3 grams, which would have to be packaged in some other substrate)- this would make it difficult to slip into a drink or food.
(It should be noted that around the same time, the US Army was doing research into a much more usable incapacitant called 3-Quinuclidinyl Benzilate which required as little as 150mg of the substance to be useful- it was featured in a MacGyver episode and I did a nice little review of it here. While I have no sources that say the CIA was directly involved in funding this, based on their extensive funding of similar DoD projects at the time, they probably did.)
But you wanted to know about how grapefruit interacts with dextromethorphan:
A substance in grapefruit (along with seville oranges, limes, pomelos, and possibly pomegranates) blocks the pathway by which many drugs are metabolized in the liver. This causes the levels of drug in the body to be much higher than expected. In the case of dextromethorphan in particular, it can mean that the drug stays in the body a lot longer- up to 24 hours instead of the usual 3-4 hours. It can also make side effects and toxic effects significantly worse, leading to hallucinations and sedation, even at low doses normally used for coughing.

part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: after sudden attacks on women around town, you take a self defense class. ellie, your long standing crush is the instructor
part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4
each chapter will have their own warnings please read them! eventual smut
cw: mentions of child abuse and implication of attempted sexual assault (does not go into detail for either), panic attack
fluff and angst
light rocking against your shoulder and a distant call of your name pulls you from your deep slumber making you groan, not conscious enough to take in where you are. “hey sleepyhead, wake up.” ellie’s raspy whisper has you cracking one eye open. you’re too tired to even speak or think coherently, making you hum in question.
ellie chuckles and looks at you for a moment before speaking. “sorry to wake you up so early.. I gotta be at the construction site in an hour.” you blink away your remnants of sleep and realize ellie has damp hair, is fully dressed for the day and the sun isn’t even up yet. “it’s okay. sorry I fell asleep here I didn’t even realize.” she smiles softly, “no worries, I don’t mind. you looked pretty comfy..I can drive you home on my way to work.”
the short drive to your house shares a peaceful, comfortable silence between you and ellie. the sky painting a breathtaking winter sunrise of pinks and purple. ellie pulls up to your house way too quickly for your liking, the small disappointment of having to part ways felt in your chest.
“thanks for the ride and letting me crash at your place.. I had fun last night.”
“me too,” she smiles and you feel that warmth settle deep in your stomach again. it’s a rarity to see her full smile “it’s no problem, really.. are you busy tonight?”
“no, I don’t think I have anything going on.” you know you don’t actually have anything going on. you bite the inside of your cheek to try to suppress a smile, but ellie looks between your eyes and down at your mouth and smirks at you. caught.
“well, if you’re not busy later you wanna hang out? I get off at 3, we can go to a cafe or something.” she clears her throat and you can see how physically painful this is for her. she forces herself to keep eye contact though.
you giggle and she narrows her eyes at you playfully, unspoken words and body language received between the both of you. “yeah, I’m down. just text me when you get off.”
“alright cool I can pick you up. see you later, ___.”
me: DINA wake the fuck up!!!!!
dina🤍: bitch its literally 7am why tf are u disturbing me
me: wow. anyway! last night I was walking to ur house and some creepy dude pulls up next to me asking me for directions and shit acting super sketchy. ellie pulls up out of nowhere and goes all psycho ellie mode and pulls out a fucking switchblade. I was like 😦 but it was also so hot. he skids off and she gets pics of his plates and we go back to her place for joel to deal with it. he thinks the cops can keep an eye out for that car and see if that guy has anything to do with the assaults happening. it was lowkey really scary but I’m okay. we ended up smoking and talking for hours and it was literally perfect and then we ended up falling asleep and I woke up in the middle of the night laying ON HER CHEST with her arm around me. we’re hanging out again tonight
dina🤍: wtf that’s so fucking scary! im glad ur okay:( but ommg im so excited for u angel. its ab damn time some moves are made and we can go on double dates tg hehe
me: ok let’s not get ahead of ourselves here we’ll see what happens. that’s all I wanted to tell u. ur allowed to go back to sleep now:)
dina🤍: wow how gracious of u. lmk how everything goes though <33
clothes are strewn all over your bed and floor, while you frantically try to find a cute outfit to wear. it’s fine, it’s just ellie. she’s seen you a million times since you were both 14. you finally settle on a pair of jeans and a black sweater, with your chelsea doc martens. good enough.
ellie🌿🗡️: Hey, I’m outside whenever you’re ready.
me: be right there!
okay, just breathe. everything’s fine!
as you hop into the passenger seat, ellie looks you up and down. “you look good.” you give her a shy smile and observe her; hair tied half up, in a dark green flannel with an oversized black denim jacket, black jeans with her usual pair of converse, multiple rings on her long fingers, and the scent of her woodsy cologne. “thanks, you don’t look too bad yourself.” she smiles and shakes her head, pulling out of your driveway.
“yeah, he almost dropped a whole fucking plank of wood on my head today!”
you start laughing, walking out of the coffee shop together. “maybe the hit would’ve done you good, ellie. you are very hard headed.” ellie’s jaw drops “wow, someone’s feisty today, huh?” you smile and roll your eyes, going to shove her and she catches your wrist, pulling you close to her. your breath hitches and you look down at her lips. something behind you catches ellie’s attention, her smile dropping instantly and face turning ghostly pale.
“ellie? what’s wrong?” she grabs your hand and walks you quickly to the car, opening your door to make sure you get in first before frantically hopping into her seat and speeding out of the parking lot.
“hey, what’s going on?” she shakes her head and doesn’t respond, her chest rising and falling at a rapid rate, eyebrows scrunched together.
the speed of her driving and her concerning behavior is stressing you the fuck out. she pulls up to her house and lets you both in before she runs up the stairs to the bathroom, whipping the door shut with a loud slam.
you slowly walk up the stairs, not knowing whether or not to give her privacy. you suddenly hear her crying and hyperventilating. “ellie, I’m coming in.”
ellie is seated on the floor next to the tub with her head between her legs, forearms laid on her knees. “hey, hey I’m here. can I touch you?” she nods and you gently take her hand, softly rubbing the back of her palm while you place her other hand against your chest. “try to follow my breathing, okay?” you take slow, deep breaths for her to follow until she calms down.
“I’m sorry.” she avoids looking at you. “no, I’m here for you, okay? you don’t have to hide from me.” she wipes the rest of her tears from her eyes and nods. you move to sit next to her and gently rub her back, still holding her hand.
“do you wanna talk about it?” she clears her throat and looks straight ahead. “I uh… saw one of my old foster parents. he was pretty fucked up,” she lets out a dry laugh. “thought I was over it but I didn’t expect to see him.”
“what did he do?” she looks at you in contemplation before looking away with a cold, steely gaze. she sniffs and nods, “he… used to beat the shit out of me all the time for no reason.” she looks down at her scarred tattoo and rubs the skin. “this burn… he tried to-“ she clenches her jaw and shakes her head. “anyway, I managed to get away before he did anything, but I ended up burning my arm on the stove in the midst of it all. tried to press charges but that didn’t work, big shocker,” she scoffs. “I ran away and refused to go back so they placed me with joel and he eventually adopted me.”
she looks back up at you, trying to gauge what you’re thinking. you don’t realize you’re crying until she wipes away a tear from your cheek. “hey, don’t cry it was a long time ago I was just… not prepared for all of that.”
“sorry, I just hate that you had to go through all of that, especially at such a young age.” she lets out a deep breath and nods. “sorry our date got ruined” she gives you a sad smile.
“it wasn’t,” you squeeze her hand “I had a good time and I’m just glad I was able to be here with you.” you look up in thought, “do you have brownie mix?” she looks at you in confusion and lets out a small laugh “uh, I dunno, why?” “whenever I’m sad or going through something, I like to bake because it gives me something to do to take my mind off of everything and brownies are fucking good.” you nod with conviction. ellie laughs, “you are so fucking cute. c’mon let’s go see if I have some brownie mix.”
as you mix the chocolatey batter, and hum to the song playing on the speaker, ellie leans against the counter and watches you. she loves the domesticity and warmth you surround her with, and you were right, doing all of this is making her feel better.
“are you just gonna stand there and stare at me or are you gonna help?” “nah I think I’m good right here” she smirks at you. you nod slowly and look at her with mischief, holding up the spoon. her eyes widen and she points her finger at you, “don’t you fucking dare.”
you chase ellie around the kitchen island, out of breath from laughing and she ends up slipping on her sock, grabbing onto the counter for balance. as you run up to her and try to smear the batter on her face, she grabs your arm. you struggle against her, making you trip over her leg and she catches you, wrapping her arms around your waist. both of your laughters fade into small smiles as both of your eyes trails to each other’s lips. ellie’s face becomes serious as she leans in, lips ghosting yours. the sound of the front door opening has you both abruptly backing away from each other. fucking joel.
“hey kiddo, what are y’all up to?” ellie’s face is beet red and she clears her throat, “just making some brownies. why are you home?” ellie’s voice holds a bit of an edge to it.
“well, damn, I’ll get outta your hair in a minute, just stoppin’ by, forgot to pack my dinner.” she hums in annoyance. your eyes widen at the tension ellie is radiating.
“joel! my parents wanted me to give this to you as a thanks for the free self defense lesson, and for helping me out yesterday.” you open up your bag and take out a bottle of whiskey. ellie’s brows furrow, oops you forgot to tell her.
joel holds the bottle at a downward angle “would’ya look at that.. I’ll be sure to send my thanks to them.” he walks to the fridge and grabs out a container. “alright I’m headin’ out,” he looks at ellie “do me a favor, don’t burn the house down.” she groans and rolls her eyes.
“mm, these brownies are fucking good. you were right after all.” you scoff and smack her arm, “of course I was right. don’t ever doubt me again.” ellie rolls her eyes, “yes ma’am,” she quips sarcastically. “now, pay attention, this is my favorite part of the movie,” you say with feigned sternness. she smiles and nods, finishing off her brownie and leans back into her pillows.
you rest your head on her shoulder and place your hand on her stomach, tracing small patterns. you look up at her and whisper, “ellie?”
“hm?”
“do you really feel okay now?”
she turns her head to the side to look at you, face only inches away, and nods slowly. you feel her breath ghosting your lips and your heart starts racing, chest rising up and down quickly. ellie parts her mouth and licks her lips, leaning in, kissing you softly. she pulls away to look at you, before sitting up and grabbing your face, deepening the kiss.
HA sorry to edge u all. things are gonna get spicy as fuck in the next chapter. interactions are much appreciated 💗

idk can i just……… hockeyrry being an absolute dickhead on the ice but then getting home with his gf and just absolutely being a crybaby about how sore he is and how bruised up hes gonna be the next day 😭😭😭😭😭 please i am begging u on my hands and knees
"Did you have to get yourself thrown out of the game?"
"It wasn't my fault. He's the one who—fuck, that's cold—He's the one who threw the first punch."
"Because you had been asking for it all night! Honestly," you said, shaking your head at Harry disappointedly. "You'd think you'd be more careful about getting hurt since you're such a baby about it afterwards."
"A baby?" Harry asked incredulously.
"Yeah. A big baby."
Harry scoffed, but didn't say anything after that. You sat next to him as he soaked in the ice bath, nursing all his sore muscles after a particularly physical game. The ice baths weren't necessarily a regular occurrence, but helping Harry with his aches and pains was. He was always picking fights, mouthing off to opposing players and earning a body check in return, which occasionally turned into an all out brawl. You typically held your head in your hands when he got into fights, but not because you were worried about him. Exasperated was probably a better description. Especially because you knew he would moan and groan about his new injuries after the fact. Harry might have been tough on the ice, but he hissed and flinched and complained whenever you had to stretch him out with a roller or cleaned up his cuts or forced him into a tub of ice.
"You don't have to stick around, you know," he muttered, clearly still bothered by your teasing comments.
A baby indeed, you thought. Harry was completely pouting now.
"Yeah? And who's gonna drive your bruised ass home?" you replied. Harry grumbled something under his breath, crossing his arms in the ice, though you could tell he was suppressing a wince. You leaned a little over the tub so your lips pressed right up against his ear. "Who's gonna kiss all those bruises better?"
Your hands found purchase on his shoulders, squeezing gently before slowly sliding down his chest and beneath the surface of the ice water. Harry inhaled deeply through his nose, but you knew it had nothing to do with the cold water biting his skin. Despite the ice, your touch felt like fire licking down his torso until you settled on the tops of his thighs and squeezing again.
"Here?" he asked.
You kissed the corner of his jaw, your teeth grazing his skin just a little. "No. Not here. But if you manage to get out of here and behind the wheel without complaining, I might be able to give you a little something on the way home."
Water splashed and ice cubes hit the floor as Harry practically jumped out of the tub and hurried to get dressed. He suddenly wasn't feeling so sore anymore.

Some Astro Observations 🪐
1st house stellium really do have an in-your-face presence. They can be attention seekers without appearing like one. They can be assertive on others without realizing it. Self-reflection is pretty hard for them because they justify everything they do as the natural personality that they cannot change. If others have a problem with them, it is them that need to adjust.
Sometimes, I really do internalize that life is pre-written. "Free Will" is a feeling which is only just a feeling like happiness and anger.
10th house stellium may not always have successful careers or are overachievers. But they can be really great people's person. They may know how to sell their persona, their personal transactions are also quite professional because of how calculative and opportunistic they can be.
Saturn in 8th house does not always give long life. It can give long disease though. It can give life situations where the solution is delayed beyond tolerable limits.
2nd house placements really do value valuable things whether it is possessions or people and even ideology. These are people that may keep touch with all extended family because every person is an asset to them.
Scorpio risings are quite extreme in their persona. Very talkative to very quiet. Very goofy to very irritated. They may be a rollercoaster.
One time I saw a native being very authentic about their life problems and financial weakness. They were too much honest about their problems telling in detail everything wrong in their life. Wow, does this person really trust me so much? Turns out they are a Cancer stellium. This detailed sharing of life story was actually a subtle manipulation to appear harmless and innocent, so that people dont notice their mind game and cunning flavour of personality.
Being in the good books of every single person is essential to a Libra. Their self definition depends on how other people tell them who they are. It is important that people tell them good things about their personality because a Libra can't stand appearing like a bad person.
8th house moon too have extreme emotional drives. This can lead to addictions to things that give extreme pleasure such as food, music, entertainment, social media. They feel everything to the extreme and nothing less.
Capricorn moon really suppress their emotions in order to bear responsibility and appear strong. Their vulnerability can show in other ways that connect the psychic life to physical life such as being obese which shows suppression of feelings.
How we project our own mental images on others and judge/analyze them. But if we withdraw the projection, we realize it was actually our own personality that we saw in others. Even the very bad and worst and evil qualities that you notice in others but refuse/fail to see in yourself.
If you have 7th house lord in 8th house, do warn your partner that they are going to undertake lots of responsibilities and unpredictable ups and downs on your behalf and as being associated with you. Relationship is not just romance and flirting. It is life changing because you become responsible for the well being of someone for a lifetime. You stand with them through thick and thin. And 8th house gives challenges like anything. Though the goal is to tame your mind and neutralize the feelings. Pain or pleasure, all is same. Praise or insult, all is same. 8th house challenges can make you a deep thinker and deep observer who goes to the root of everything. You will realize that it is the bad people and the misfortunes that are the actual eye openers to the truth of life. "But the right way to wholeness is made up, unfortunately, of fateful detours and wrong turnings." ~Carl Jung

You had never seen the goddess of wisdom so furious.
Athena had shown various emotions since she brought you to this place. A temple of hers. The most common emotions were: disappointment and exasperation.
But never a fury so great that it could tear the heavens apart if she were the goddess of the heavens.
You couldn't help but feel small in front of her. Athena was generally a figure of calm authority, a presence that inspired reverence and respect. Yet now she stood before you like a storm about to break, her gray eyes blazing with an intensity you had never seen.
"How could you?" Her voice resounded through the temple, echoing off the marble walls and making the flames of the torches tremble, "I trusted you. I gave you time, even if I didn't have to, and you betray me like this?"
You shivered at the fury in the words coming out of the goddess's mouth.
You opened your mouth to defend yourself, to say that it wasn't your fault, that all you wanted was to go back to your old life and not be with her, but no words came out when you opened your mouth. Athena took this as a mockery and it only made her angrier. You could have sworn you felt the marble floor of the temple shake.
Athena took a step forward, and you almost instinctively backed away. The force of her presence was overwhelming, "I gave you a chance to prove yourself, to show that you were worthy of my trust. And what did you do? You wasted that opportunity trying to leave me."
Panic started to take over you. Her every word was like a blade, cutting off any hope of mercy. You tried to find your voice, but the gravity of the situation and the intensity of Athena's gaze made it impossible. Your lips moved without making a sound, a useless reflection of your will to defend yourself.
"But I should have known better than to give you freedom, to allow you to roam free. I made a mistake in doing that and I will make it right." Athena's words made you shiver, the determination in the goddess's icy voice giving you goosebumps.
Athena approached closer, her footsteps echoing heavily through the temple. You felt your heart beat frantically, and your mind was in a whirlwind of fear and regret. The glow of the torches reflected in her eyes, which looked like two silver flames of pure fury.
"You may have forgotten, but I have not," Athena continued, her voice now lower but no less threatening, "I remember every broken oath, every broken promise. And your betrayal will be remembered."
You finally managed to force some words out, "I... I just wanted to go back to my life... I didn't want to betray you!"
That seemed like the wrong thing to say, as Athena's eyes narrowed and she stared at you, "Go back to the miserable life you had before me?" You waved, even though it wasn't necessary, "Do you realize how insulting this is to me?!"
You knew that Athena did not forgive offenses, no matter how small. She was very proud and very similar to her father in that regard.
Athena shook her head, "You think you're smarter than me, don't you?" You opened your mouth to respond but Athena silenced you by raising a finger, "But let me tell you something, you are not. And the death of your little friends is proof of that."
Those words hit you like a physical blow. The mention of your friends brought back a wave of pain and guilt that you had tried to suppress. Your knees gave out and you fell to the cold marble floor, feeling the weight of Athena's accusations.
"You killed them!" You screamed, your fists clenching as anger took over your body. Athena raised an eyebrow.
"I didn't kill them. You did." She shrugged, "When you chose to reject me, reject the life you could have with a goddess. Do you think you can beat me at my own game?"
You shook your head, your eyes filling with tears, trying to erase the image of your friends' lifeless bodies. This was all a sick game for the entertainment of a sadistic goddess. Athena could pretend that she cared about you, that she wanted the best for you, but at the end of it all, she wanted you as a prize to be shown off.
Athena knelt and lifted your face with her soft hands, "They were side effects. A means to a necessary end." She stroked your cheek tenderly, "And a lesson for you to understand that you should never try to surpass me. Ever."
You closed your eyes, your lips trembling as tears fell down your cheek. Athena kissed your forehead.
"To fail is human." She said finally, her voice implacable, "But learning from mistakes is what separates the fools from the wise. You are a fool but I will give you another chance."
You didn't say anything, just opened your eyes and looked into the gray eyes of the goddess of wisdom. Athena smiled.
"And I'll make sure you don't try to be a smartass again."

✶┈ TELL ME HOW — BLAIR WALDORF
Tumblr media
synopsis: it’s all about the yearning. also a lot of undertones so.. think what you will.
pairings: blair waldorf x fem!reader
warnings: nothing but fluff, a little bit of angst, and drumroll… a homoerotic friendship! how fun. (not)
Tumblr media
The room was dim, illuminated by the soft, golden glow of a single table lamp. Blair sat at her vanity, brushing her hair with slow, deliberate strokes, each movement precise and controlled. Her reflection showed a face of calm composure, but you could see the slight furrow in her brow and the tightness in her jaw. You sat on the edge of her bed, your fingers nervously twisting the hem of your sweater. You’ve been here so many times before, but tonight feels different.
Your heart felt tangled, caught between a mess of longing and frustration, the yearning so palpable it felt like a physical ache in your chest— silence between you both felt suffocating.
“Blair,” you began softly, your voice barely above a whisper.
She doesn’t turn, doesn’t even acknowledge your presence. The brush strokes slow, but she remains silent.
You take a deep breath, pushing yourself off the bed. You move closer, standing behind her, your reflection now visible beside hers. “Please, don’t ignore me,” you plead, the vulnerability in your voice cracking the polished veneer of her calm.
Her hand paused mid-stroke and she slowly placed the brush down on the vanity, her eyes finally meeting yours in the mirror. There’s a brief shift in her gaze—pain, maybe, or uncertainty. It’s gone too quickly to decipher.
She turns to face you, her expression fervent, dark eyes locking onto yours. There was a flicker of something vulnerable, something raw, that you rarely saw in her.
“I’m not ignoring you,” she said softly, though her tone revealed her inner conflict.
You moved closer and knelt beside her, your hand reaching out to gently touch her knee. The warmth of her skin under your fingers made your heart skip a beat. Blair’s eyes widened slightly, and you could sense the struggle behind her poised exterior.
“Then talk to me,” you urged, your fingers brushing lightly over her skin. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
Blair’s eyes fluttered shut for a moment, as if gathering the strength to open up. When she looked at you again, there was an earnestness in her look.
“It’s just… everything feels so complicated,” she admitted quietly. “And you… you make it more complicated.”
You felt a pang of guilt twist in your chest. “Blair, I never wanted to make things harder for you,” you said softly, reaching for her hand.
Blair’s hand covered yours, her grip warm and reassuring. “I know,” she murmured. “But you do. You always have.”
A heavy silence settled between you, filled with everything that had remained unsaid. As the realization sank in, the closeness felt almost overwhelming, and you felt the yearning you had tried so hard to suppress.
“I care about you,” you said, your voice unsteady with the weight of your feelings. “More than I should, maybe.”
Blair’s eyes softened as she stood up and gently pulled you up, closing the gap between you. “You’re not the only one,” she whispered, her voice faltering slightly.
In that moment, nothing else mattered but the space between you and Blair. You could feel her heartbeat mirroring yours.
Without thinking, you leaned in, your lips brushing against hers in a tentative, almost shy kiss. It was sweet a release of all the emotions that had built up between you.
When she pulled back, her eyes glossy with emotion and a soft smile on her lips, she pulled you into a hug. “Don’t ignore me,” you murmured against her shoulder.
Blair shook her head gently. “Never,” she whispered, her voice tender yet firm, making your heart swell. “Never again.”

“What’s wrong?” you asked, glancing up at your charge. You couldn't see his face in the dim light, but his tense shoulders and the way he held his breath told you everything.
He simply sighed and began lengthening his stride, as if trying to outpace both you and the thoughts that were plaguing him.
You hurried to keep up, calling out “Solda- Bucky, slow down!” you yelled, your voice barely audible over the roar of the wind whipping through the snowy Siberian plains. You gripped the straps of your backpack tighter, trying to keep pace with the lanky figure beside you.
“Can’t.” His eyes scanning the icy surroundings with an intense focus, his ears perked up for even the slightest sound.
You knew he was on high alert, worried that he was still being pursued, even though you had traveled miles from the HYDRA base and crossed the town border. "They'll be gone by now," you tried to reassure him, "No one will find us here." But Bucky remained silent, his gaze fixed resolutely on the horizon as he pressed onward, the biting wind whipping around you both.
But Bucky remained silent, his gaze fixed resolutely on the horizon as he pressed onward, the biting wind whipping around you both. You couldn't help but shiver, tugging your coat tighter, realizing that it wasn't just the threat of pursuit that was troubling him. "It's not just them, is it?" you asked in a hushed voice. "It’s the memories, right?"
Bucky finally paused, his shoulders slumping slightly. He turned, his gaze meeting yours. The haunted look in his eyes broke your heart. “I’m not sure what I am anymore,” he said, his voice rough and low. “Bucky, Soldat… I don’t know where one ends and the other begins.”
You reached out, taking his cold hand in yours. “You're both,” you said, your voice firm. “You’re Bucky, the man who fought for his country. And you’re Soldat, the soldier who survived. But you’re also something else,” you added, squeezing his hand, “You’re a man who is trying to find his way back.”
Bucky looked at you, his face etched with pain and confusion. “How can I find my way back,” he asked, “when I don’t even know where I started?”
You pulled him close, his warmth a welcome contrast to the frigid air. “We’ll find a way… together,” you whispered, leaning your head against his chest. “We’ll work through the memories, find your past, find your future. We’ll find your way back home.”
He held you tightly, his body shaking with suppressed emotion. You knew the road ahead would be long and difficult, but you were determined to walk it with him. He wasn’t alone anymore. You were here, and you wouldn't let anything tear you apart again.
“They won’t stop, you know?” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
“I know,” you said, your heart sinking. You knew the HYDRA agents would be relentless, their lust for control insatiable. But you refused to let fear paralyze you. You had escaped with Bucky, with the man you had learned to love while caring for him. You had told him his true identity, the truth of his past as Bucky Barnes, an American soldier who had been captured and transformed into the weapon known as the Winter Soldier. He had looked at you with an unreadable expression, the years of HYDRA conditioning still etched on his face, leaving you uncertain whether he believed you or not.
But then, a flicker of recognition sparked in his eyes, a glimpse of the man he once was, the man who had lived a different life before he was turned into a weapon. And in that moment, you knew he held onto a sliver of hope, a spark of humanity that you could nurture.
“We'll find a way,” you said, placing a reassuring hand on his arm. “We'll be okay.”
Bucky hesitated, his gaze unwavering as he stared at the horizon. The wind whipped his hair, a stark contrast to the dark, tangled locks that covered his eyes when was The Winter Soldier.
“They don't know what we're capable of. And even if they find us, we'll be together. We'll face them together. Trust me, Bucky.”
Even with the added pressure of being pursued, you couldn’t quite keep up with Bucky. You were exhausted, not having slept much the night before, but the thrill of freedom coursed through your veins.
“Where’re we going?” you asked, your voice hushed by the wind and snow.
Bucky didn't answer, instead pointing with a trembling hand towards the distance. Your eyes followed his finger, landing on the vast expanse of a rail yard, a jumble of freight cars bathed in the twilight’s fading light. The realization hit you like a physical blow. He planned to stow away on a train, to disappear into the anonymity of the metal behemoth. A shiver ran down your spine. It was dangerous, risky, but it was also undeniably brilliant.
“Bucky,” you started, your voice laced with apprehension, “Are you sure about this?”
He turned to you, his eyes searching yours, their usual icy blue now tinged with vulnerability. “We have to keep moving,” he said, his voice low and gravelly. “They’ll be looking for us. This is our only chance.”
You knew he was right. HYDRA wouldn't rest until they had him back, their perfect weapon. Yet, you couldn’t shake the fear that gnawed at your heart. The train ride was risky, but staying put, letting them catch you, was unthinkable. The weight of uncertainty hung heavy in the air as you and Bucky raced towards the distant rail yard, the promise of freedom beckoning like a siren's call. Though your body ached with exhaustion, the adrenaline coursing through your veins pushed you onward, fueled by the knowledge that HYDRA's relentless pursuit would grant you no reprieve.
As you neared the rail yard, the towering freight cars loomed before you, a chaotic jumble of metal behemoths bathed in the fading twilight. The sheer size and scale of the hulking containers was almost overwhelming, each one standing several stories high and stretching out as far as the eye could see in every direction. The air was thick with the pungent scent of diesel fuel and the rhythmic clanking of steel wheels against the tracks, a cacophony of industrial sounds that filled the senses. Overhead, the last vestiges of the day's sunlight cast an amber glow across the weathered exteriors of the cars, their dented and scratched surfaces a testament to the countless journeys they had undertaken.
“What now?”
“Look,” he said, pointing to the distance. “The train.”
Amidst the overwhelming display of mechanical might, a glimmer of hope emerged as you followed your companion's gaze, spotting the barely visible silhouette of a freight train in the distance, lumbering slowly through the snow-covered landscape.  Your heart leaped with hope. This was your chance.
"Let's go," he said, grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the train.
As you rushed headlong towards this potential salvation, a moment of hesitation crept in. “Do you know where it’s going?” you asked, your voice tinged with a cautious uncertainty.
“Away.” He shrugged, his response simple yet profound. In that moment, the uncertainty of their destination mattered little; what mattered was the chance to leave this oppressive reality behind, to venture into a world of untold possibilities, with each other as the only constant.
The rumble of the train grew louder as you drew closer, the rhythmic chugging of the locomotive filling your ears with a steady, pulsing beat as the freight cars clattered and clanged along the tracks. Bucky maintained his tight grip on your hand, his fingers wrapped firmly around yours, not willing to let you go even for a moment, as if he was afraid you might slip away if he loosened his hold even slightly. There was a sense of urgency and determination in his movements, a laser-like focus that told you he had a very specific plan in mind.
He moved with purpose, leading you towards a particular set of freight cars towards the rear of the long train, the cars becoming more weathered and battered the further back you went. Their steel surfaces were covered in layers of chipped paint and faded, colorful graffiti, remnants of countless journeys and the marks left by those who had ridden them before. But despite their aged and rugged appearance, the cars seemed relatively stable, their sturdy frames and thick metal walls providing a sense of solidity and security, a means of escape, a path to freedom. If you were bold enough to make your move, that is. Bucky's gaze was unwavering as he appraised the cars, mentally calculating the risks and weighing the options, determined to find a way to spirit you both aboard and leave this place behind, no matter the cost.
“Ready?” Bucky looked down at you momentarily before his eyes flicked back to the train, his grip on your hand tightening.
Your eyes widening with surprise and trepidation as the meaning of his words sunk in. “Are you sure?”
Bucky nodded and you knew you could trust him. “On the count of three?” he asked.
You took a deep breath and braced yourself for the leap of faith you were about to make. "One... two…”
“Three!”
As Bucky's deep, commanding voice echoed out the final count, a surge of nervous anticipation coursed through your body. You knew this was your only chance - your one shot at escaping the merciless grasp of HYDRA. Bucky's muscles visibly coiled with tense, focused energy, his eyes narrowing with fierce determination. In that moment, he was the very picture of a predator, poised to pounce on its prey. And then, on that final count of "three," he lunged forward, his powerful legs driving him into a desperate sprint. Without hesitation, you followed suit, your own legs pumping furiously as you fought to keep up with Bucky's breakneck pace.
Though your bodies ached with the strain of their relentless flight, the adrenaline coursing through your veins kept you moving, spurred you onward. You knew HYDRA would show you no mercy, no quarter, they would hunt you down without pause until you were back within their ruthless clutches. That knowledge burned within you, a fiery motivation that pushed you to keep running, to not falter even as your lungs burned and your muscles screamed. Bucky's metal arm was a vice-like anchor, wrapping around your waist to half-drag, half-carry you along as the moving train grew ever closer.
Then, with one final burst of speed, Bucky hurled himself and you onto the narrow connecting platform between the two train cars, your bodies colliding with the metal surface in a jarring impact. For a moment, you clung to the edge, your fingers scrabbling for purchase, before Bucky hauled you fully onto the platform. There, you lay panting, hearts pounding, knowing that you had barely escaped the jaws of the beast… but that the hunt was far from over.
The rhythmic clatter of the freight train echoed through the frigid night, lulling you into a false sense of security. You and Bucky, fugitives on the run from HYDRA, had stowed away in a warm freight car, seeking respite from the relentless snow and cold.
As you sat there in the dimly lit freight car, the only source of light coming from a small, barred window near the ceiling, Bucky couldn't help but notice your weary expression.
He moved closer to you, his muscular frame filling the meager space in the car. He looked down at you, his blue eyes filled with concern.
"You look tired," he said, his voice raspy but gentle. "How much sleep did you get last night?”
"Precious little,” you smiled sadly. You didn’t want him to think you blamed him.
Bucky nodded, his eyes tracing over your face, taking in the weary shadows under your eyes and the slight slump of your shoulders. He knew all too well the physical and emotional toll of life on the run, of being pursued and hunted at every turn.
"You should rest," he said, his voice firm yet gentle. "We don't know how long this journey will be, and we need to be sharp if we want to stay ahead of HYDRA."
He moved a strand of hair away from your face, his touch feather-light but electrifying.
As the train surged forward, you huddled close to Bucky, his strong arms enveloping you. The warmth of his body and the gentle rhythm of the train lulled you into a relaxed state. For a brief moment, you forgot your perilous circumstances and allowed yourself to indulge in the stolen comfort of his presence.
Bucky held you close, his strong arms encircling you like a protective shield. He could feel the tension in your body gradually ease as the train's rhythm and his touch soothed you. For a brief moment, he allowed himself the indulgence of appreciating your warmth against his, a brief respite in the constant storm of uncertainty you were facing.
He ran his hands along the curve of your back, a slow and gentle rhythm against your skin, hoping to bring some semblance of tranquility to your weary soul.
Bucky's touch was tender, his gaze filled with a mixture of concern and longing. He had been through so much, his memories tainted by HYDRA's brutal conditioning. Yet, there were glimpses of the man he had once been, the man who had fought alongside Steve Rogers.
Bucky continued to hold you, his touch still gentle and reverent. His gaze studied your face, taking in every detail: the curve of your cheek, the flutter of your eyelashes, the fullness of your lips. He drank you in like a man starved, as if he had been holding his breath his entire life and was finally being able to breathe for the first time.
The cool, smooth surface of Bucky's metal hand against your skin was a stark contrast to the intensity of his gaze as he reached out and cupped your face. His thumb traced the delicate arch of your cheek, sending a shiver down your spine. In that moment, the world seemed to slow, and all that existed was the two of you, locked in a silent, electric exchange. The air between you was thick with unspoken longing, a desire that had simmered and built over time, finally igniting as your bodies grew warm with the heat of your proximity. You couldn't resist the temptation to give in, to explore this connection that had been building, your kisses passionate and desperate, tinged with the bittersweet realization that this fragile, peaceful moment was fleeting.
But the tranquility was shattered in an instant, the sudden screech of brakes cutting through the stillness as the train lurched violently. Although the train slowed slightly it didn’t stop and suddenly the doors of the freight car were flung open, and a squad of HYDRA agents, armed and determined, their faces cold and unforgiving, stormed inside, even dropping in from a hatch on the roof. Bucky immediately leapt into action, shoving you behind him protectively, his metal arm raised and his eyes blazing with a deadly focus. He was a living, breathing shield, ready to defend you against the onslaught, his every muscle coiled and primed for the impending battle. In that charged, adrenaline-fueled moment, the simmering desire was eclipsed by the harsh reality of their precarious situation, but Bucky's unwavering resolve to keep you safe was a beacon in the chaos.
"Stay behind me," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Without a word, Bucky lunged at the nearest HYDRA agent, his training and strength allowing him to quickly incapacitate the first wave of attackers. His movements were efficient and calculated, each strike landing with deadly precision as he systematically took down the enemy forces surrounding him. Bucky had honed his combat skills over decades, becoming a formidable and unstoppable force on the battlefield. His metal arm gave him an added advantage, the limb a powerful weapon that he wielded with deadly grace.
But Bucky's focus shifted in an instant as he heard a familiar gasp - your voice, filled with fear and alarm. His head snapped up, eyes narrowing as he scanned the chaos around him, searching for the source of your distress. And then he saw it. An agent had seized you from behind, ripping you away from Bucky's side and dragging you into the fray. A surge of pure, primal rage coursed through Bucky's veins at the sight, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive. With a guttural roar, he lunged forward, every fiber of his being consumed by the single-minded need to reach you, to tear your captor limb from limb and ensure your safety.
However, the agent was not unarmed, and as Bucky charged, a barrage of blasts erupted from the firearm in the agent's hand. Bucky was forced to dive to the side, his swift and agile movements allowing him to narrowly avoid the onslaught of projectiles. Even though they missed their target, the explosive blasts didn’t fail to cause damage as they ripped through the freight container with ease.
Even as he dodged the attacks, his gaze remained locked on you, his eyes burning with a mixture of unbridled fury and desperate, unwavering determination. Nothing would stop him from getting to you, from tearing you from the clutches of your captor and ensuring your safety, no matter the cost.
"Hang on, I'm coming," he called out, his voice barely audible over the chaos and the wind howling through the large holes in the walls of the traveling metal box.
Adrenaline coursing through his veins, Bucky threw himself back into the fray, his muscles coiled and ready for action. Dodging and weaving with the grace of a seasoned fighter, he nimbly evaded the gunfire raining down around him, his sole focus honed in on reaching you and making your HYDRA captor pay. The agent's grip on you tightened as Bucky advanced, but you refused to go down without a fight. Punching and scratching with a primal ferocity, you finally managed to sink your teeth into the man's exposed skin, eliciting a yell of surprise and pain. The agent's hold on you slackened in his shock, and you seized the opportunity to break free from his grasp.
Bucky wasted no time, kicking the agent hard in the stomach before turning his full attention to you. Rushing to your side, he pulled you against his broad chest, shielding you with his formidable frame. But Bucky's protective maneuver came at a price, he didn't have time to evade an oncoming gun blast, so he raised his gleaming titanium arm in a defensive stance. The blast struck his limb with tremendous force, and while Bucky was able to brace himself against the impact, the sheer power of it sent you tumbling backwards, flying out of the compromised freight car. Bucky's calloused hand shot out, wrapping around your wrist in a desperate attempt to catch you, and you looked up to see him practically hanging out of the train, his expression one of fierce determination.
For a split second his eyes glazed over, images invading his brain, a sickening familiarity threatening to overwhelm his senses. But he blinked and it was gone, there was only you. Your smile of relief, however, was cut short as you noticed another HYDRA agent materializing behind Bucky, the change in your expression instantly alerting him to the new threat.
“Hold on!” he yelled, spinning on his heel to kick the man behind him without even turning to look at him.
Unfortunately the death of their fellow agent did nothing to deter the rest of the team who were quick to attack his clear weak spot. Bucky was able to hold his own for a number of punches before he was knocked off his feet. His grip on you slipped and soon you were hanging on by the tips of your fingers. You screamed in fear, barely noticing the look of terror on Bucky’s face but it was too late. The snow swirling around you loosening your grip and the hurtling train jolted your hold so you found yourself slipping from his grasp.
Your terrified scream pierced through the chaos. The last thing you remembered was Bucky screaming your name before your world turned black.
“Kotyonok!” Bucky's heart hammered in his chest, mirroring the frantic rhythm of the train's wheels. He felt his heart shatter as he realized he was powerless to save you. In that moment, all fight left him, he sank to his knees, letting the HYDRA agents wrestle him down, because without you, his life was meaningless.
*
In the cold, sterile confines of a HYDRA bunker, the echo of Karpov's hand against Soldat's cheek reverberated through the room. The winter soldier stood impassively as his handler punished him for his failed escape attempt. But within the depths of his programmed mind, a storm of emotions raged. The loss of his beloved Kotyonok weighed heavily on Soldat's heart. Your laughter, your warmth, all consumed by the relentless march of fate. The guilt and despair gnawed at him, a torment that seared his very soul.
As they forced him into the chair, Soldat’s mind raced with defiance. He had endured countless memory wipes, but this one felt different. It was not merely the erasure of events; it was the annihilation of his love, the piece of his humanity that you had awakened. As the process began, a single tear escaped Bucky's hardened exterior, tracing a path down his chiseled features. A whispered plea slipped from his lips, barely audible above the hum of machinery: “Kotyonok.”
In that moment, the memories of your shared moments flooded his mind. The stolen kisses, the whispered confessions, they unfolded before him like a montage of lost dreams. And as HYDRA's programming invaded his subconscious, erasing the memories of you, Bucky's heart echoed with a void that would never truly be filled.
When the procedure was complete, Soldat stood as an empty vessel, devoid of his past and the love that had once filled his existence. The name ‘Kotyonok’, once whispered with such tenderness, was now lost to the shadows of his shattered mind. And so, the winter soldier continued his relentless march, a broken and obedient weapon with no memory of the love he had lost, a love that would forever haunt the remnants of his soul.

My Birdy Took Flight
A/N- I am aware I really need to write my asks and my Spencer Reid story but I am currently obsessed with Simon Riley okay!
Simon Riley x Sniper Reader
Readers pronouns- She/her
TW- Swearing, falling, injuries, and military inaccuracies but I mean it's COD and they have a zombie game so are going to attack them too? lol
Summary- Who knew the complete off-the-books mission would go off the rails and leave you with the worst rope burns of your life. The injuries however were not the scary part it was having to face Ghost and admit you fell out of the heli.
Word Count- 1991
Tumblr media
This mission was completely off the books, asshole Shephard did not care at all that Kate had been taken hostage and would not send reinforcements for help. I've been working with Price and Kate since I was a recruit they are my family. There was no way I was leaving Kate to be killed. The plan was simple enough I stayed in the heli for overwatch while Price, Gaz, and Farah worked their way up the line. Things were going smoothly I've worked with Nik before he is one hell of a pilot. Things however took a turn for the worse an explosive hit the copter and I fucking fell out. I'm sure Nik and Captian thought I died for a moment but I was bloody hanging from the rope. I am lucky my sniper skills are still top-notch when I'm hanging upside down though I would prefer not to test it again. After that hiccup, we recovered Kate and she luckily had no physical injuries.
We returned to base that night and Price insisted I go to the med bay to get checked out. To quote his words, "You look like shit kid, get the hell to med bay before I drag you myself."
The medic rushed to treat me, but something told me that was Price's doing. They wanted to keep me here for observation due to my concussion from the explosion impact. I begged them not to I'd sleep way better in the barracks I hate the sanitary hospital smell, I even prefer the smell of gunpowder. The medic would not take no for an answer I wanted to fight them harder but they said they preferred my anger to Price's wrath. The medic left shortly after and would return sporadically to do random vital checks. At least I knew the concussion wasn't that bad as it didn't beckon me toward the darkness like other times. Though my raw skin kept me from finding any peace I honestly kind of miss the darkness. I spent the night tossing and turning the pain and clinical setting keeping sleep a far distance away from me.
The clock ticking was mocking me as I watched it hit four am. How are hospital settings supposed to help you heal when there is so much beeping and someone always coming into your room? Speaking of which I heard the door creak yet again didn't they just take my vitals ten minutes ago! I can't take this without thinking I launch the flat uncomfortable pillow at what I assumed would be the intern medic yet again only to lock eyes with Ghost looking as shocked as I did.
"That's one hell of a greeting darling," he says in his usual deep voice. My eyes are still wide with shock that I just hit my superior with a pillow but he takes this opportunity to speak again. "Heard you took flight today, Gaz was telling everyone."
I wince at the thought of everyone knowing I failed to hold on during the explosion and try to change the subject to avoid thinking about it, "Aren't you supposed to be on a mission with Soap?"
"Just got back. Johnny and Gaz are out celebrating," he responds.
"They are out celebrating at four am?" I question.
"You know Johnny no one can outdrink the Scott," he says like it's the most obvious thing the world.
"Well, why aren't you out there celebrating with them?"
"My birdy took flight and thought it only decent to check up on her," any other time I would have dwelled on the fact that he said 'my birdy' but he placed his hand on my welted ankle and I could not suppress the groan. His eyes quickly shift to concern and he rips the scratchy hospital blanket off me.
"Ghost!" I shout at him for having the audacity to rip the blanket off me. He has no right to barge in here and act like he's in charge, he may be the boss of me in the field but he is not my doctor and I do not care for showing off my nasty ass wounds to my team members.
He does not acknowledge my shout at him in the slightest instead his full attention is on my rope-burned ankles."What quack treated this," he growled.
"I'm fine," I try to yank my foot out of his grasp but he holds tighter.
"Yeah because the skin falling off your ankle looks spectacular," he says sarcastically.
"Wow you sure know how to treat a girl," I roll my eyes.
"Haven't heard any complaints," he says nonchalantly as if that innuendo wouldn't have Soap applauding.
"Seriously, it's fine. Go celebrate with the team," I assure.
"If you think I am letting you let your ankle get infected you are off your rocker. I am going to need names, sweetheart," he commands.
The nickname glides out of his mouth so easily it's as if he had said it a hundred times. I want to stay as calm and collected as him but I unfortunately stutter, "What names?" God, it's a good thing I'm a sniper and not a spy because I would be dead.
"Of the idiot docs who treated this," he speaks as if it's obvious.
I sigh, "It's not their fault... I didn't tell them. Price only knew about the concussion and I just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible."
"Ah so you're the idiot," he growls.
"Can you not be mean to me I did just fall out of a heli."
"Shut up you lived," he rolls his eyes, gently places my foot down, and turns to leave.
"Please don't take your anger out on the medics," I beg.
"Oh trust me darling I will be taking my anger out on you," he growls yet again.
I shiver, "Where are you going then?"
"To get some medical supplies for your dumbass. No one way I'm letting a medic treat you when you will just lie to them."
"What makes you think I won't lie to you?" I tease well aware that I am in no place to be teasing.
He chuckles an evil kind still it's one of the best I've heard, "Me and you both know you aren't capable of it."
He exits the room and I am unsure if I want to slap him or rip that mask off and kiss him... I am definitely incapable of either. I may be able to beat Soap, Gaz, and even Price on the mat but no one can best Ghost. I, unfortunately, hear him shouting at medics for a damn first aid kit... so much for him taking out his anger on me.
He returns rather quickly but does not speak as he meticulously places the first aid supplies by my bedside.
He pours some alcohol on my rope burn and I hiss loudly, "shit a little warning would be nice."
"You would have just fought harder. Need to clean the debris out who fuckin knows how old that rope was."
"Aw is Ghosty worried about me," I pout.
"Thought I told you and Johnny to stop calling me that, you want me to make this hurt worse than it already does?"
I roll my eyes at him and in response, he presses the gauze harder than necessary. "You asshole!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about," I can see his wicked smile through his balaclava.
"Yeah sure," I huff. "You know..." I smile mischievously. "This would go a lot faster if you just kissed it better."
"Oh really," I could hear the grin in his voice. I was expecting him to make some snide comment in return instead he finishes wrapping my ankle and lifts his mask to rest on the bridge of his nose.
I am sure my eyes widen to the size of saucers. I feel like a Victorian man seeing a woman's ankle. His grin widens it could only be compared to the Cheshire cat's smile. He gently lifts my ankle to his lips but does not stop there. He places delicate kisses all the way up to my thigh. I think I have officially stopped breathing. Then my heart decides to do the most embarrassing thing ever. It speeds up so atrociously fast that the monitors start beeping incredibly loud. That's it I have officially died there is no coming back my face is melting off from how flushed I am.
Ghost sits back and laughs and I mean properly laughs, I have never seen him like this. "This is a good look on you birdy all red and flustered, all for me too." He pulls his mask back down but I can still see the smile in his eyes.
"Shut up! I am a highly trained sought-after sniper, I don't get flustered!" I feel like that would have sounded better if I didn't stutter each word.
Ghost glances at my heart rate monitor, "Your heart says otherwise."
A medic comes in as the dumb machine won't stop beating, "Are you alright? You're looking quite flushed and your blood pressure is higher than it was when you first came in."
I swear I could see the smugness radiating off Ghost. God I want to strangle him.
"She's fine thanks to me," his eyes squint at me and I know he has a huge grin under that balaclava. He then turns to the medic, "Don't you know the 141 are notorious liars and the worst patients! Next time call me down here as soon as she is being treated."
The poor medic flinches at Ghost's rough voice and can barely whisper, "Yes, sir"
I mouth, 'I'm so sorry," to the medic he looks appreciative.
The medic flees as soon as my blood pressure normalizes. Ghost roughly throws his body onto the uncomfortable hospital chair and groans.
"What are you doing? Shouldn't you be going back to the barracks," I glance as he makes himself comfortable well as comfortable as one can be in a torn hospital chair.
"In a rush to get rid of me birdy?"
"Is that name going to become a thing," I roll my eyes.
"Only for me, if anyone else has the nerve to call you that I'll gut them," he replies.
"Even Johnny?"
"Especially Johnny," He grins.
I smile, "Seriously Ghost you should go sleep in your own bed that chair cannot be comfortable. I'd be in my bed if they would let me escape."
"I know you can't stand hospitals, I won't let you be sleepless and cranky alone."
"Fine, then at least share the bed with me, I forbid you from sleeping on that fifty-year-old chair."
"The fact that you think you can forbid me from doing anything sweetheart is laughable. Are you sure you want me to be over there might make your heart monitor scream again?" He makes his way over to the bed despite his words.
I roll my eyes, "I'll manage."
He lays on the small hospital bed and takes up ninety percent of it but I don't mind it because it doesn't smell like hand sanitizer and blood anymore it smells like him.
"Goodnight birdy," he kisses the top of my head and my heartrate monitor instantly starts beeping annoyingly again.
"Goddammit," I groan and he just laughs.
"You would make a terrible spy with all those emotions, you're lucky the red face works on you." he chuckles.
"You're just jealous of my amazing sniping abilities you must point out my flaws," I poke his chest.
"You ain't got no flaws birdy except the fact that you're stubborn as hell. Now go to sleep before I knock you out myself."
"Yes LT.," I fake salute him and he rolls his eyes.
Sleep comes so much faster in the med bay when you aren't alone, I wish falling asleep would always be this easy.

what do you think of the comments on mdl of my stand in calling ming a cheater?
hi nonnie []~( ̄▽ ̄)~* that's actually something i've been thinking to write about because i saw those remarks as well but it is such a controversial thing to discuss. if you don't mind, this discussion post will be filled with mild spoilers of the novel.
!!!!!! novel spoilers warning !!!!!!
alright so first of all, @ineffable-opinions wrote an excellent post about the danmei tropes in my stand-in (which i highly recommend everyone to read). this is a great post as they discussed the white moonlight trope presented in my stand-in.
Tumblr media
i don't consider ming, a cheater because as i see it, tong was simply ming's white moonlight. ming never established a physical nor emotional connection with tong, throughout his time knowing joe. tong was always an idealised fantasy, he's mistaken it for it to be love. in other words, i see it as ming looking up tong like a delulu fanboy with an idol crush than him actually having any substantive feelings for tong ever. i mean if you had a partner that looked like a kpop idol, and sex with your partner makes you feel like you're achieving your sexual fantasy, are you cheating on your partner? maybe? maybe not? probably controversial and debatable question but for me, i don't consider it 'cheating'. i do think ming took for granted joe's genuine feelings and did not fully appreciate joe's affection (ming you ungrateful bish, repent).
Tumblr media
during their time together playing pseudo 'not boyfriends', ming showed that he could be an okay partner. whether it's caring about joe's day at work, how hard joe's job as a stuntman, accepting joe's invitation to accompany him to his wrapped filming party.
Tumblr media
i mean it's really bare minimum but that's already quite a lot coming from the dude who's afraid as hell once joe started mentioning the 'faen' word, triggering his self-defense mechanism, depreciating himself trying to claim that joe wouldn't be able to stand him.
Tumblr media
i think one of the most obvious example of how afraid ming was to lose this relationship, was him using the word 'faen' in the last breakup fight with joe. this line was very ironic of him to say, because i'm sure even ming knows this line applies more to himself (how in this life, ming won't be able to find a better boyfriend than joe).
Tumblr media
i absolutely love ming's emotion progression in ep 4 because it encapsulates perfectly his 21 year old spoiled brat attitude. he was confused when broken up over the phone, then mad and started throwing tantrum trying to get joe to coax him (like joe always does), until he realized it wouldn't work this time and he started frantically begging for joe to stay so they could go back to playing house and being happy.
Tumblr media
personally, i don't consider it cheating because by around ep3/4, you can already started seeing ming settling down with the option that makes him "happy". some may even argued that by this point, he has 'recognized' his feelings (not me though, i think he just wanted his simple happiness/domestic bliss back, i still think it's during the period he lost joe 1.0 that he learned what love truly is).
Tumblr media
now the most important question of all: is ming cheating on joe 1.0 with joe 2.0 or vice versa?
Tumblr media
to quote chapter 63 of Professional Body Double (My Stand-In novel), i think the author puts it best how ming views joe 2.0.
He has fallen to the point of looking for the shadow of that person in a substitute. This is his punishment. When he thought that he was using [Joe] as [Tong]’s substitute, he was not aware of the actual person who had entered his heart. He had failed miserably with this method but still could not help himself from wanting to try. There are no other reasons. Just that he was in too much pain. He can’t endure anymore. He was adamant that [Joe] is not dead but no one could confirm it. That little doubtful voice in his heart is getting louder and louder, but is roughly suppressed by him time and time again. To continually be persistent with this thought, he needed a lot of willpower. He knew better than anyone else. Even if this [Joe] could bring him a little comfort, he wanted to be close to him, just like a long frozen person wanting to be close to a matchstick. This can’t save him… but he couldn’t stop himself from taking that little warmth.
i LOVE this metaphor and this little inner thought of ming we got because we can see how he's very much aware that he's falling right back into the bad habit that got him into trouble in the first place but... he's a fucking fool... who resorts to spiritual shamans for hope...
Tumblr media
but also the familiarity he got from joe 2.0 is way too strong to joe 1.0. so for me, i'm seeing it as ming is using joe 2.0 as a means for comfort and relief as well as keeping him close to observe the similarities between him and joe 1.0, rather than viewing joe 2.0 as a replacement for joe 1.0 (because keep in mind, at this point he doesn't know they're the same person yet).
so !!!!!!!!! BIG WARNING of spoilers from the novel !!!!!!!!! if joe had considered joe 2.0 to be a direct replacement of joe 1.0, i don't think he would have had this conversation with joe 2.0 about joe 1.0.
Ming spoke right at this time. His voice sounded very faint and very soft, “Joe, are you hiding something from me?” Joe didn’t know what Ming meant by this. He asked cautiously, “I don’t understand what Khun Ming means.” Ming, “The feelings you give me is too familiar. It’s as if I’ve known you and have lived with you before. Why is this?” Joe forced himself to responded, “Maybe this is fate.” If it wasn’t because they are fated, they would not be in the predicament of today…with a relationship that is so unclear in both past and current lifetimes. “Joe. Tell me….If a person had been missing for more than two years, do you think he may still be alive?” Joe’s tensed up and smiled, “Most likely impossible. If still alive, he would have come back already.” “Why can’t he be alive? It could be that he didn’t come back because he doesn’t want to come back.” Joe is silent for a moment, “Khun Ming, are you talking about the other Joe?” Joe clearly felt Ming’s body stiffened. Then Ming asked, “How much do you know about him?” “I don’t know anything at all. I just heard from what others have said.” Ming quietly asked, “Then do you know what relationship I have with him?” Joe’s heart tightened, What relationship? You say, what relationship? He clenched his teeth in the dark, “I don’t know.” Ming’s voice is like the rising of the quiet abyss, cold and empty, “I feel that he’s not dead. He just doesn’t want to come back.” Joe heard his own voice dissociated from his thoughts and automatically asked, “Why won’t he want to come back?” Ming didn’t respond to his question, instead he tightened his arms around Joe.
i like that in the 2.0 timeline, we got ming learning but also not learning his dumbass mistakes at all. ming learned that he should be upfront about his feelings and be straightforward with his sexual partner, but at the same time he's still impatient, hot tempered and say hurtful things easily.
Tumblr media
so i think through and through the second half of the series, you'll see his fidelity to joe (the soul) only. while perhaps it was the shadow of a back that mesmerized ming in the first place, but it's the kindhearted soul of joe that ming truly fell in love with, the person that showed him what love means, the only period in his life where he felt happiness.
Tumblr media
© gif courtesy of the talented @alienwlw
you can also check out @befuddledcinnamonroll and @ineffable-opinions discussion on matters of transmigration, attachment of the soul with the body in their excellent posts, here and here. to sum it up, i think up kinda succintly puts it here in this interview.
Tumblr media
of course, this is not to excuse dating/fucking anyone who resembles your missing ex but then treating them like they're your object ;_; like i'm just saying i don't think what ming is doing with joe 2.0 can be categorized as cheating (for me). it's something scummy, foolish, dumb, really stupid but... not cheating ┗( T﹏T )┛.
Tumblr media
also if you notice, ming doesn't sleep around. surely he could have slept with dozen of nice looking man with similar physique to joe 1.0 to "keep the warmth" if he was that type of dude... but he doesn't... so for me, i see this proposal he has for joe 2.0 is not simply because of a physical attraction/similarity to joe, but it's the vibe/the aura/the ✨energy✨ that joe 2.0 radiates that is too similar to joe 1.0, drawing ming to him again.
Tumblr media
tldr: ming is a lot of things but for me, i would never characterize him as a cheater. ming is a scummy, spoiled, arrogant, entitled, hot tempered hi-so brat but also a foolish little crying bag with zero wife-chasing skills. his only tactic is begging and getting his waterworks flowing.
Tumblr media
ps: i'm not sure if this ask actually answers your question at all but hopefully some of my thoughts made sense ಥ_ಥ

ITADORI YUJI [SUKUNA'S VESSEL]
Tumblr media
" I'LL PROTECT YOU WITH MY LIFE ... I SWEAR IT.
JUST PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR LOVE. PLEASE! "
- ISFP - 15 y/o - He/him - March 20 - Caring + Obsessive Yandere
Yuji, for the most part, isn't a yandere you can immediately notice. He does such a good job at hiding it that honestly, it could grow to be terrifying at how hidden it is. His obsession with you doesn't come out in front of you. Ever.
If you're unaware of it, he'll make sure you don't ever realize it, or at least try his best to make sure you don't. Both because he wants to keep the good friendship you have so far, and he doesn't want to unintentionally scare you off. He's rather gentle on a surface view, you could say.
With the cheerful disposition alongside with that kind smile he possesses, Itadori is the last person you'd think is obsessed beyond redemption for you and you alone. And thank god he's trying to suppress it when you're present because if you just knew how unhinged he could be when it came to you ... only god knows if you'd ever see him the same again.
Yuji most likely doesn't admit he has an interest if anyone catches on that he's drifting off, thinking about something. Or someone. If somebody asked "do you like someone?" he will most likely shake his head no. He doesn't want anyone involved. Despite his accepting and carefree nature, he'd rather not drag in other people into his love life.
The few times you might rarely ever get a glimpse of his unhinged behavior is when somebody hurts you. The moment Yuji learns someone hurt you, he is beyond pissed off. He might be organizing himself in a rare occasion, but if he so much as hears a whisper or faint rumor that you were hurt?
He's not going to be happy. At all.
He will find you, no matter where you are, even if you're hiding. Any other matter can wait. They can scream at him that someone else is in need of help. But Itadori doesn't care. Not in the slightest. Not when you're the one who's in pain.
That's the scary thing of Itadori. As much as he cares for the wellbeing of the general population, he cares about you more than the rest. For all he cares, he'd die for you and kill for you. He'd do it all, go through hell and back just to be with you. He's like a switch. One moment, he's the caring boy you held a strong friendship with, the one who'd protect everyone.
The other? He could care less what happens to the world so long he gets to keep you for himself. Is that selfish? Yes. Is he aware? Yes. Does he care? Possibly. But will he ever bring himself to stop? Hell no.
You could say that as much as he hates it, Sukuna's traits might show a little when it comes to the latter side. He has no qualms in fighting for you. Verbally and physically. He just does not care.
As for how he tries to keep you for himself.. It's going to take him a long while to figure it out. The way he sees it, if he just drags you, it would terrify you beyond measure, and it wouldn't go too well. He wants to do it in a way you won't have problems with. Even though that's technically.. impossible.
He's definitely thought about taking you for his own with a chloroform rag, but he thinks it's too much of a hassle, and it'd still alarm you. He's also thought of knocking you out, leaving you unconscious until hours later, but he'd hate to hurt you.
So he just ends up being convinced about the fact that he can't take you for himself. Or at least, not kidnap you. Sounds good, right? Not really.
Because then he gets desperate. Increasingly so. He wants you. You. Just you. And he can't have that. And the more he grows desperate, the worse it is for you.
He begins to be a little clingy. At first, you just see it as something playful. He's just being adorable, how he clings to you, likes to be with you, you find it endearing. And for the most part, it is... right?
But it soon becomes a little concerning. He wants to be around a bit more than would be comfortable.
You're going out for a walk? Yuji's right by your side. You're buying some books to read alone? Yuji will accompany you! You want to go back home? He'll walk you back to it to keep you safe. You're calling a friend to make plans? He's going to tag along.
You were going to hang out by yourself someplace? Yuji so happens to be there already. You're going to a restaurant? He's gotten reservations! He's going to be with you, whether you like it or not.
If you ever asked him about it, he'd just say that he's doing this "for your own safety" despite the real reason being that he just is stuck to you like glue because of his obsession. But it doesn't end there. He begins to catch on that you're not exactly comfortable with this.
So he "stops" being with you so much, as much as it pains him. You feel relieved that he's not on your tail all that much, or at least, that's what you think. Because like hell he'd ever let you leave his sight. So he resorts to observing you from afar.
Contrary to what many would think, he makes it be very subtle, barely noticeable. The few times that you feel someone observing you, it's not something that makes you uneasy, and when you turn around and see nothing, you just tend to brush it off.
Yuji is patient. He has time. He has the will. He can wait for you to grow to love him too.
He'll wait until you confess with your face red and embarrassed. And he'll be more than happy to reciprocate. He'll love you with a full heart. So this could go two ways. It could turn out really well for you, so long as you don't find out the amount of people who've been indirectly threatened by him, and you keep loving him as the sweet darling you are.
Or it could be worse. You realize that any movement could result in a person's death. That your love is something sought after preciously. If you ever did, unfortunately, come to realize Yuji's obsession, you best believe he's not going to let you go anywhere.
Hell, if he has to strap you to a chair in your own room, he will- He's not going to risk letting you escape him now that you've found out the one thing he wished you hadn't. But at the very least, it also rids him of a burden.
He can now show you just how true his love his. His passion. His desire. It burns true and rightfully so. You'd do good to not outright reject him either. It would break him if you did, yes. His heart would be shattered. He wouldn't understand.
But at the same time, he would know why. Nevertheless, as much as he feels bad for you, he does not let go. At all. You'd expect that maybe after seeing your pain and dislike for this, he'd maybe loosen up a bit on the restraints, but no. If anything, he takes extra measures to be sure you won't go running away and escaping him.
And if you did manage to run away? Please; it's going to be less than ten minutes before he finds you once he realizes you're gone. It's pointless. You can't escape him, no matter how hard you try. And it'll only be worse for you if you managed to run and he finds you.
In all honesty, it is. His trust in you will decrease. Severely. If you had the freedom to even walk around through other rooms on your own, that privilege is also gone now. You're forced to be in the same place until Itadori comes back to be with you. He will make sure you don't run.
As kind as he is, he will be harsh, should you push him. A patient boy like him also has his limits. You ought to know better than to piss him off and cross the line.
Push his buttons enough times, and you'll begin to know what fear truly tastes like from firsthand experience.
Send your prayers. You might need them.
RYOMEN SUKUNA [KING OF CURSES]
Tumblr media
" I'D KILL THEM ALL IF THEY SO MUCH
AS LOOKED IN YOUR DIRECTION. "
- ENTJ - 1000+ - He/him - UNKNOWN - Sadistic + Possessive Yandere
Oh, you're an unfortunate soul.
If you caught the eye of Sukuna, it's fair to say your life is only going to downhill from this point and on. He gives zero shits whether you're consenting or not. He will more than happily drag you kicking and screaming to where he wishes.
He is a highly possessive, jealous yandere. Definitely obsessive, but most prominently a possessive one. And it shows. He never lets you out of his sight. The moment you caught his eye, your fate had been sealed. And your end.. wasn't a good one, to put it lightly.
He's stalked you since day one, and there's no other way to put it. He has. He knows your routine, your preferences, your dislikes, what makes you tick, all of those insignificant details of yours that nobody cares to pay attention to. He knows you better than you know yourself, probably.
It would scare you to think about it. And he wants that. He loves your fear.
From the moment you met, it's clear to him that he's not gonna let you go. Maybe he's a little bit passive at first, just flirtatious, but it's far too dark what awaits you beneath the surface. And you couldn't be more blind to it.
Let's not count how many he's killed. Honestly, he's killed for less, so a massacre in your name is nothing more than a sweet, heartfelt course of action for your affection in his eyes. The blood on his hands is more than you'd ever be able to know.
You most likely tend to avoid him, given he is the King of Curses. You think he's someone who's best left undisturbed. And to a certain degree, this is true. However, in Sukuna's eyes, it only amuses him that you try to avoid him.
He thinks it's funny how you try to find an excuse to not get close to him and to avoid him when even still he manages to find you. He will definitely try to and scare you a bit by making appearances next to you without making a sound. It's like he's just appeared out of thin air next to you and every time he does it you're almost scared shitless.
( Though really, he's just.. stalking you and then showing himself every now and then just to say hi. He likes to piss you off. Yes, he's an asshole- )
Sukuna doesn't really care if his feelings towards you are unhealthy. Hell, he's a curse. Why should he of all people care about whether his feelings are healthy or not? It's not like he's not batshit crazy.
Oh, and remember how it was discussed he'd drag you kicking and screaming with no problem? Yeah, this man (curse) is kidnapping you. Good luck with that. It's better if you don't resist either, because come on. Look at him. He could kill you at any second if he wished to. You're getting more mercy than anyone else ever would by his hands.
Most likely there'll be no way to escape, and he'll have his own fun chaining you. He's not running risks. However, the restraints are more of a thing that he just would use for when he finally decides to take you for himself. He will be fucking you senseless.
Restraints such as chains, cuffs, and collars are an absolute thing he'd use on the occasion. He is tying you up. Sukuna is sadistic, and it shows. Knife-play may also be involved, though he takes care to not hurt you gravely, just enough to draw blood on some places. (As much as he hates to admit, he won't hurt you enough to kill you. He does care. In his own weird way.)
His sadism isn't just shown by the way he delights in your fearful expression when you plead him to spare others, to not kill them. It doesn't just show when you beg him, to the point tears brim from your eyes. It's honestly pathetic, the way he sees it, but he loves it. He's lovesick. Your suffering is his passion. Pain is pleasure, he'd say.
If you're a masochist, though? And you enjoy all that sadistic shit he makes you go through during sex? Oh god. You better not let him know. He's already a sadist as is, but knowing you enjoy that? It's going to amplify his excitement furthermore than is good.
The moment he realizes you like this, he will take things to a level above painful pleasure. He's going to put you through mind-breaking sex.
He's relentless, really, marking you in more ways than one, whether it be a mark on your neck left by a bite he did, or just fucking you until you can't even think properly anymore and you're all tight and wet, making you keep that length inside of you pushing and throbbing whilst you beg and scream.
He wants you all to himself, so why wouldn't he go to the extremes? After all, he doesn't want anyone else to even touch you. Please. He'd kill them if they so even glanced at you in the wrong way.
It's not going to be hard for him to claim you as his, nor will it be hard to keep you. You can't escape from him. It doesn't matter where you run, where you hide, to whom you'll plead and beg to help and save you; he'll have his eyes on you and you alone, and he'll make sure that during that bothersome eternity he lives through, you'll be with him too.

Sonic and the Mirror of Trauma: Scrapnik Island
Tumblr media
Scrapnik Island is by far the most intriguing and impressive IDW Sonic miniseries so far. Daniel Barnes wrote an excellent story about recovering from trauma, struggling to escape your past, and facing the setbacks that come with both of those, and Nathalie Fourdraine and Jack Lawrence produced some beautiful art.
On its surface, the story has the potential to be a cheeky, cliché one-off akin to a spooky Halloween story (that started in December… hehe). But, when you look deeper at the plot and some of the tropes, and once you remember that it takes place between issue 56 (which I’ve crucially discussed at length) and issue 57, it suddenly becomes so much more important.
Mecha Sonic is a version of Sonic who has been forced to address the pain of his life and dabble with the consequences, and he represents the moment that Sonic has to face his own trauma—and that scares him.
Scrapnik Island sets off with the Scrapniks pursuing Sonic to help him, but Sonic, of course, has missed the memo. Mecha Sonic is hottest on Sonic’s trail, which stands out to me as not only is Sonic visibly afraid of Mecha (both from his sudden presence and from his memories of their last encounter), but he’s actively running away from his trauma, his past, his fear.
Even after Sonic’s been set straight on the Scrapniks’ deal, he’s still put off by Mecha Sonic’s silent demeanour and their history. So, Sonic treats him coldly, and this animosity triggers something deep within Mecha that he fights to starve off.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is lots of visual storytelling to indicate that Sonic and Mecha Sonic are meant to be literary foils, but below is my favourite example. A flashback of a decommissioned Mecha Sonic fades into a present shot of Sonic “taking it easy,” but more so getting fed up with his situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sonic is also particularly distrustful (and afraid) of Mecha Sonic, compared to the other Scrapniks. However, as time runs on, Sonic comes to an initial understanding of Mecha’s changed ways and wants to make peace. However, right after this, Mecha Knuckles attacks, Mecha Sonic defends and, in a way, sacrifices himself for Sonic, and things fall apart from here.
Tumblr media
After Mecha Sonic is triggered during his battle with Mecca Knuckles (after a forceful encounter with Mecha Sonic’s past that sends him down a path of relapse), Mecha Sonic loses his ability to starve off Eggman’s primary programming. He turns on Sonic once again, but instead of serving Eggman, he strives to serve himself. While Mecha is falling victim to his traumatic past and coping mechanisms, the unfortunate thing about this is how it all reads to Sonic: another betrayal of his trust. It all calls back to Mr. Tinker, Metal Sonic, and Surge.
Tumblr media
Mecha Sonic’s plan is to swap bodies with Sonic so that Mecha can use Sonic’s speed to escape the island, but the Scrapniks attack before the transfer can complete. This leaves Mecha and Sonic in an in-between state where they hear each other thoughts and feel each other’s feelings.
Tumblr media
Even though Sonic states that the anger and sadness in his head is not his own, he’s still clearly shown to be feeling those feelings. They don’t originate from him, but their presence mingles with his own emotions to produce something darker and more irritated. Their presence also acts as a gateway of sorts, where the latent anger and sadness that Sonic can’t suppress makes it harder for him to put away his own feelings. Couple that with his physical pain from his sprained ankle (on the same leg he busted up a few issues prior), and soon, Sonic snaps for the first time in the entire IDW comic’s run.
Tumblr media
I love whenever Sonic’s anger is allowed to shine because he is never enraged for petty reasons. Sonic has an attitude that often leads him to cranky comments, but Sonic is genuinely angry here because it hurts him to see someone speak so lowly of themselves, to have been hurt by the world so poorly. Mecha Sonic is also yet another person who has been created by Eggman’s terror specific to oppose Sonic. It’s another example of Surge’s “I will kill you or die trying” with the added complexity of Mecha’s attempt at redemption being corrupted by the trauma of Eggman’s influence. This puts pressure on Sonic because these impositions put Mecha, Surge, Kit, and others like them in direct opposition to Sonic for reasons entirely of no fault of his own—and that angers him. All Sonic strives to do with his life and his gift is help people, and to have so many people come out of the woodworks to say that the only thing he can do to help them is to kill himself is absolutely devastating to him. Not only because he believes in the direct opposite—that the only person who can give one purpose is oneself—but because it threatens to strip his own purpose away from him whenever these notions are unearthed.
Sonic isn’t angry at Mecha, personally. He’s angry at the system created to hurt them both.
The most important thing to remember is that, unless I fully missed something*, that strange mind-link thing between Sonic and Mecha Sonic is never undone. After Sonic cries Mecha Sonic’s tears, the story cuts to Tails officially deprogramming Mecha Sonic and Mecha Knuckles from Eggman’s directives, but it’s never explicitly stated that Mecha Sonic’s and Sonic’s mental link was reversed.
Tumblr media
It can be reasonably assumed that it occurs off-screen (off-page? Outside of what is shown to the reader) because that would make general sense, but then again, so did the reprogramming, and that was explicitly mentioned. Further, it’s a general rule in writing for media that if you want something to be known about your story, it needs to be shown to the audience if not alluded to or directly referred to having happened. So, this is either an oversight, or it’s entirely intentional.
* The only way I can imagine this being accounted for is that the machine that linked Sonic and Mecha’s brains, the Egg Noggin, is (obviously) an Eggman device. Thus, whenever Tails removed Eggman’s programming from Mecha Sonic and Mecha Knuckles, perhaps it also restored Sonic’s brain to normal. This, however, feels like a bit of a stretch because we never see or hear of Sonic needing or receiving any treatment, but I am willing to consider it to be a viable reason. Either way, I think the point I’m about to make still stands as either a physical change or an emotional change in Sonic’s character.
This experience, this sharing of minds in such an intimate way where they can both so clearly hear each other’s hearts, taught them something. I read this as some sort of floodgates being opened, where while Mecha Sonic can more easily feel compassion and listen to the good in his core, Sonic now more clearly feels his anger and has a harder time suppressing his emotions. Whether there is lasting physical damage left in Sonic or he’s simply reeling from the depth of his emotions felt in this adventure, there’s been a clear impact.
Even if Sonic isn’t fully delving into things just yet, he’s taken a lesson away from all of this.
Tumblr media
(From the IDW Endless Summer One-Shot, set between issue 64 and issue 65 and after the 900th adventure one-shot)
If nothing else, Sonic clearly understands trauma better now. Sonic is absolutely traumatized by his experiences with Eggman and other high-stakes adventures, but again, due to his tendency to push away his darker emotions, he hasn’t processed much of this. Sonic puts all his sadness and rage and fear and confusion into box after box after box before shoving everything onto a big, cluttered shelf, never to be seen again… until now. With such a clear look into the mind of someone actively reeling through trauma, a trauma so like his own, that shelf has collapsed, and now everything is spilling onto the floor before Sonic, quick as can be, can stop it.
Sonic is finally starting to understand the bigger picture, but I don’t think he’s fully on the path of self-awareness. I think there’s more boiling under the surface, more than even he realizes. And if Sonic keeps taking these micro-risks (instead of his usual Hail-Marys) that are fueled by his anger, like storming the Eggperial City too soon, then something will have to give.
Scrapnik Island is incredibly important to the IDW storyline because it showcases not only Sonic learning the depths of his pain and the pain of others but also yet another nail in Eggman’s coffin.

Because it may have been almost a month, but what is time, anyway.
The air in the antique shop was thick with dust, and Combeferre coughed into the crook of his arm before giving Enjolras a look. “Remind me again what we’re looking for,” he said, picking a particularly tacky snowglobe off of the shelf without bothering to hide his look of revulsion.
“A gift for Grantaire,” Enjolras repeated for easily the twelfth time as he examined the spines of a stack of ancient books with yellowed pages.
“Right,” Combeferre said, replacing the snowglobe and sharing a knowing glance with Courfeyrac. “Why?”
Enjolras glanced up at them and away again. “Does it matter?”
Courfeyrac leaned against a shelf that creaked ominously, and he hastily straightened. “Well, it’s not Christmas,” he reasoned.
“Not Grantaire’s birthday, either,” Combeferre added.
“And no judgment, Enj, but it’s a little late for Valentine’s Day.”
Enjolras ground his teeth together, glaring a garish painting of a sad clown as if it had personally offended him. “It’s an apology gift,” he said sourly, staring determinedly away from Courfeyrac and Combeferre so that he didn’t have to see the look they inevitably gave each other.
He was already familiar with it.
“Uh-oh,” Courfeyrac said, with barely suppressed glee masquerading as concern. “What are you apologizing for?”
Enjolras sighed. “I said something stupid.”
“No shit,” Combeferre said, uncharacteristically blunt, not that Enjolras didn’t likely deserve it. “But what specifically?”
Enjolras sighed again, raking a hand through his blond curls before telling them reluctantly, “We were watching some movie, or at least, it was on in the background while I was doing work. Some kind of rom-com thing and it ended with the couple old and happy together, and Grantaire made some comment about how maybe that’d be us someday and—”
Courfeyrac stared at him, all traces of amusement vanished. “Don’t tell me.”
“I just pointed out that statistically—”
“Enjolras,” Combeferre and Courfeyrac groaned simultaneously.
Enjolras winced. “I mean, the world’s probably going to be uninhabitable long before we’re elderly—”
Courfeyrac rolled his eyes so hard it looked physically painful. “Mm, yeah, whisper that in his ear, see how it goes.”
“I didn’t realize he was trying to be romantic,” Enjolras muttered, the tips of his ears flaring as red as his favorite hoodie as he continued to avoid meeting Combeferre or Courfeyrac’s eyes.
“Of course you didn’t,” Combeferre sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Enjolras huffed another sigh. “And now I need to make it up to him,” he said, determined to force the conversation back to something productive.
Combeferre just gave him a look. “And you decided an antique shop was the best place to find a gift because…?”
Shrugging, Enjolras picked a small ceramic ornament off the shelf, turning it over in his hands as he tried to figure out what the hell it was supposed to be. “I don’t know,” he admitted. “He loves this place, so I figured there must be something here worth getting.”
Courfeyrac made a noise that sounded suspiciously like a hastily-stifled cackle. “Pretty sure he likes the bar next door better,” he said.
“Probably,” Enjolras said, “but I can’t exactly get that for him, can I?”
Though at the rate he was going, that might actually be the only gift big enough to make it up to Grantaire.
“Fair enough,” Combeferre said, ever the voice of reason. “Why don’t we split up, cover more ground?”
Enjolras made a face. “Why does this feel like the start of a slasher movie?”
Courfeyrac smirked. “Probably because if you don’t succeed, your relationship’s going to be the first thing to die?”
Enjolras glared at him. “Thanks for your support,” he said dryly.
“Anytime,” Courfeyrac said, saccharine sweet.
Enjolras rolled his eyes as he turned to survey the assorted crap that evidently passed for antiques. He knew he should be more grateful that his friends were willing to put up with him and his now decades of emotional incompetence, but in his defense, they didn’t have to be such assholes about the whole thing.
Though, in this case, Enjolras definitely deserved it.
He scowled as he drifted somewhat aimlessly down the aisle, not even sure what he was looking for. His eyes fell on a tattered cardboard box perched precariously on the end of one shelf, or more accurately, on the neon green postcard taped to the front.
PHOTOS AND LITHOGRAPHS, it proclaimed. TWENTY-FIVE CENTS EACH.
Enjolras had no idea who in their right mind would buy random old photos of people they’d never met or places they’d never been, but he intrigued enough that he pulled the box off the shelf, shuffling through the untidy stacks until he pulled one out at random.
It was a black and white photo of two young men in dinner standing next to each in front of an old-fashioned car. He flipped it over and he could just make out, written very faintly on the back, ‘Before the big dance, 1944.’
He frowned as he turned the photo back over, but before he could toss it back in the box, he caught sight of the familiar half-smile the shorter of the two men wore. A smile that Enjolras had kissed more times than he could count, and without warning, he could see it in his head like a memory he didn’t even know he’d had.
“Hey, kid,” Grantaire said, giving Enjolras that little smile as he leaned against the fence.
“Don’t call me kid,” Enjolras said, breathless. “I’m eighteen, and besides, I graduate soon.”
“I know,” Grantaire said, raking his eyes slowly down Enjolras’s body, his smile sharpening. “Besides, you don’t look much like a kid tonight.”
Still, Enjolras hesitated. “You don’t have to come with me, you know. I know you’re shipping out soon, and I doubt you want to spend your time with a bunch of kids…”
Grantaire raised both eyebrows. “Didn’t we just establish you’re not a kid?” he said easily. “Besides, someone’s got to keep an eye on. Especially if Courfeyrac spikes the punch again.”
Enjolras half-smiled at the memory, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “I wish I was going with you.”
“I don’t,” Grantaire said flatly. “Hard enough fighting the Nazis without having to worry about you getting shot or blown up.”
Enjolras just shook his head. “You’ll write?”
“As often as I can,” Grantaire promised, reaching for his hand. “And I’ll be back before you know it.”
It was a hollow promise – they both knew too many young men who would never return from the war in Europe. But before Enjolras could point that out, Grantaire dropped his hand, straightening. “Mr. and Mrs. Enjolras,” he said with what he clearly thought was a winning smile.
“Oh, Grantaire,” Enjolras’s mother said. “I didn’t realize you were going tonight.”
Grantaire shrugged. “Thought I’d give the kids a little treat,” he said easily.
Enjolras’s father laughed and clapped him on the shoulder. “And hopefully keep them out of trouble,” he said.
“Of course,” Grantaire said, winking at Enjolras, who rolled his eyes.
“Wait, before you go, I want to get a picture!” Enjolras’s mother said, and Enjolras groaned.
“Ma, not tonight—”
“Just one,” she said, and Enjolras’s father frogmarched them both over to pose awkwardly in front of the car. “See, all done.”
Enjolras just sighed and looked at Grantaire. “Let’s get out of here,” he muttered.
Grantaire grinned. “I’ll make sure I bring him back in one piece,” he promised Enjolras’s parents, who both just smiled and waved.
Enjolras and Grantaire made it all the way down the sidewalk and around the corner before Grantaire pressed Enjolras up against the side of a garage to kiss him. “Sorry,” he said. “You really do look good, kid.”
“So do you,” Enjolras murmured, and Grantaire kissed him once more before releasing him.
“What do you think?” he said, casually. “Make an appearance at the dance and then you can come back to mine to say goodbye properly?”
If Enjolras had his way, he wouldn’t say goodbye at all. But since that wasn’t an option, he settled for nodding. “Yeah,” he said. “Sounds like a plan.”
Back in the antique shop, Enjolras shook his head, feeling almost dizzy as the memory – or whatever it had been – faded, leaving a strange sort of buzzing sound in his ears. He set the photo down with trembling fingers, and then, like an idiot, reached back into the box again for another.
This time he emerged with a color photograph that looked like someone had torn it out of a book based on the caption in tiny print underneath the picture. ‘Portrait of a young man writing a letter,’ the caption read, dry and boring like any art book Enjolras had the misfortune of flipping through, ‘ca. 1650. Artist unknown.’
Enjolras frowned down at the picture, letting out a sigh of relief that it didn’t look anything like Grantaire.
At least, until he realized that it did look, at least a little bit, like himself.
Enjolras’s chest felt tight as he scanned Grantaire’s latest missive. Where most of his friends sent updates on how their efforts were going to liberate Enjolras from the cursed marriage his parents had foisted upon him, Grantaire’s alone were like a balm in these dark times. They weren’t full of hope, as Enjolras would never expect from the cynic, but they were full of certitude, of no promises but instead guarantees that no man could stand between Grantaire’s blade and Enjolras.
“Patience is a virtue neither of us possess, but I must beg you for what little you can spare me,” the latest letter read. “Dark is the night but soon we shall be reunited in the dawn. And should we fail, know that my heart will belong to you for the rest of time, and none may cleave my soul from yours when we depart this earth.”
Enjolras traced his finger over the scrawled ‘R’ at the bottom of the page, lifting his finger to brush against his lips. Only then did he sit up in his chair, straighten his shoulders, and grab his own quill to begin to write his response.
Again, Enjolras resurfaced in the antique store, and he reached out automatically to grab the shelf, steadying himself against it. His head swam, and he had no explanation for what was going on, save for the obvious that he’d finally cracked under pressure and lost his entire mind.
It didn’t feel like he was going crazy, though. He was still him, still in this cursed store, still trying to find some kind of apology gift and instead unearthing bizarre memories of, what, alternate lives?
A hysterical giggle rose in his throat and he did his best to tamp it down, instead reaching for the box to return it to its spot on the shelf.
Instead, he caught sight of a lithograph on the top of the pile of pictures, a charming little scene of what could only be a Parisian café a century or so ago, and despite now having two very distinct reasons to know this was a bad idea, he lifted it out of the box.
He couldn’t even pretend to be surprised at what happened next.
Enjolras squinted up at the sun, too high in the sky already for how much he had to accomplish that day.
But as he strode past a café, someone hailed him, delaying him all the further. “Enjolras! Join me, won’t you.”
Enjolras scowled at the dark-haired man seated at a table outside of the café, his chin propped in his hand as he grinned at him.. “I see you are putting your morning to good use,” Enjolras said sourly. “Alas that some of us have more important matters to which we must attend.”
Grantaire’s grin widened. “And yet what may be more important than sating your hunger and thirst?” he asked with feigned innocence. “Even gods take the time to feast with mortals.”
“I suppose it is well that I am not a god, then.”
He turned to leave but paused when Grantaire called after him, “All the more reason to join me, then. As I doubt I merit the company of gods regardless.”
Enjolras sighed, turning back to again refute him, but before he could say anything, Grantaire straightened, his grin sobering into something more genuine, something that made Enjolras’s chest feel inexplicably warm. “Please,” he said, something soft and almost sweet in the word. “Would the world cease to spin should you spend a half hour letting someone take care of you?”
“Is that what this is?” Enjolras asked, forgetting to be harsh.
Grantaire shrugged. “A first attempt, at least.” His grin returned. “How am I doing thus far?”
“That remains to be seen,” Enjolras said, hesitating for only a moment before, reluctantly, sitting down across from him. “Very well. You have a half hour. Do your best.”
“For you, I always do,” Grantaire said, his voice low, and Enjolras was suddenly aware that the warmth on his cheeks had nothing to do with the sun.
At least this time, he didn’t feel like he was going to collapse upon returning to himself, which was a small sort of comfort. He did feel a little shaky, which probably explained how his renewed attempt at putting the box on the shelf instead sent it falling to the floor.
Enjolras groaned as he bent to pick up all the pictures and shove them back in the box, hoping this didn’t mean he’d suddenly experience a hundred memories at once. Luckily, he remained entirely in the present, and he hastily gathered all the photos, placing them back in the box, which he successfully returned to the shelf.
Only then did he notice a photo he’d missed, and he sighed again as he bent to pick it up, glancing automatically at it. This was a color photo, much more recent if a little out of focus, of two older men kissing, and he flipped it over to see if anything was on the back.
In bold Sharpie strokes, someone had written ‘FINALLY! Fifty years in the making. June 29, 2015.’
Enjolras felt the breath catch in his throat. Three days after Obergefell.
He waited for the memory to overwhelm him yet again, but this time, it didn’t come, and he frowned down at it, a little surprised. Maybe it was because neither man particularly resembled him or Grantaire.
Or maybe it was because he and Grantaire had to live this memory themselves.
It was a stupid thought that somehow still had tears pricking in Enjolras’s eyes, and he shook his head, starting to return the photo to the box before hesitating.
He knew what he needed to give Grantaire.
— — — — —
“I bought these.”
Grantaire glanced up from where he was lounging on the couch, scrolling through his phone. “Hell of an opening,” he said mildly, sitting up as Enjolras sat down next to him. He accepted the paper bag that Enjolras held out, his brow furrowing, and he carefully shook out the four pictures Enjolras had purchased from the antique store, fanning them out across the table.
He blinked down at them and back up at Enjolras, his brow furrowing, just slightly. “I don’t understand,” he admitted. “You bought four random pictures?”
Enjolras jerked a nod and then took a deep breath. “I wanted to apologize.”
Grantaire looked up at him, his expression neutral. “I’m listening.”
Enjolras wet his lips before telling Grantaire, “I meant what I said.”
Grantaire sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Ok,” he said, with something like patience, “maybe we need to first circle back to what the concept of an apology means—”
But Enjolras refused to be deterred from his point. “You and I both know that we aren’t guaranteed to get old together, let alone separately,” he said, and Grantaire fell silent, something tightening in his expression, something that Enjolras wanted desperately to smooth away with his fingertips. “Hell, we’re not even guaranteed to make it to next week, let alone past November, or five years from now or what have you.”
“Stirring oration as always, Enj—”
“But what I should have said,” Enjolras continued, “and didn’t, is that it doesn’t matter how much time we have together. What matters is that we have any time at all.” He reached for Grantaire’s hand, a little surprised when Grantaire let him take it. “Whether it’s five years or fifty years, any time that I have with you will be worth it. I don’t know if we’re going to get a happy ending, but I’ll be damned if we don’t get a happy right now with each other. And that– that’s what I should have said.”
He had faltered a little at the end, but it was worth it regardless for the look in Grantaire’s eyes, for the small half-smile that lifted just one corner of his mouth, for the way his fingers tightened around Enjolras’s.
Enjolras took another deep breath before telling him, “I went to the antique store to get you a present to say that I’m sorry, but instead I got these.” He gestured at the pictures still spread across the coffee table. “Something about them– I can’t explain it, but I look at them, and I see us.” He shrugged, a little helplessly. “I know that between the two of us, I’m the believer, but I have to admit, until I saw these, I don’t know if I truly believed that it really is me and you, forever. Whatever that forever ends up looking like.”
He squeezed Grantaire’s hand before telling him, “So I didn’t get these for you. I got them for me, to remind myself of that. Because the only gift that I can give you that matters worth a damn is time.”
Grantaire’s smile was soft and his eyes were just a little bit wet, and he shook his head. “Enjolras—”
He broke off as if he couldn’t quite decide what to say, and Enjolras added, “And I really am sorry that I didn’t say this the first time around.”
Grantaire shook his head again. “Well,” he managed, his voice thick, “you said it now. C’mere.” He tugged Enjolras to him, reaching up with his free hand to cup Enjolras’s cheek, to brush his thumb along his jawline as he leaned in to kiss him. “I love you.”
Enjolras kissed back before telling him, “I love you, too.”
Grantaire kissed him once more, his lips curving into a smile against Enjolras’s before he leaned back to ask, innocently, “So does that mean you didn’t actually get me a present, or…?”
Enjolras sighed, the exasperated, endlessly fond sigh of a man in love with the biggest pain in the ass he’d ever met. “Just shut up and kiss me.”
And for once, Grantaire did. After all, they had time to worry about presents later.
They had all the time in the world.

Remy LeBeau x mutant!gn!reader who’s mutation makes their physical appearance zombie-like? Of course, there are always positives in their mutation, like regeneration, and fast accelerating movements.
there’s always the negative outcome though. In some cases of their mutation, the reader can experience slight cannibalistic tendencies, and they tend to get rid of that feeling by biting or eating part of themself, not hard because they can regenerate, but it still hurts them.
Beneath the Surface
The night was quiet, save for the occasional rustle of leaves in the breeze, as you sat on the rooftop of Xavier’s mansion. It was a place you often retreated to, especially when the darker aspects of your mutation weighed heavily on you. Tonight was one of those nights.
Your body felt heavy, your skin pale and mottled like the dead. The feeling clawed at the back of your mind, the urge you hated, the one you tried so hard to suppress. You glanced down at your hands, eyes tracing over the faint scars from the countless times you had bitten yourself, trying to satiate the unnatural hunger that gnawed at you from within.
A shudder rippled through you, and despite the cool air, a bead of sweat trickled down your temple. You clenched your fists, fighting the temptation to give in. The pain always helped, the biting, the self-inflicted wounds, but the relief never lasted long. You hated it, hated the part of you that felt so out of control, so inhuman.
"Chère…?"
The familiar voice pulled you from your thoughts, and you looked up to see Remy standing at the edge of the roof, his red-on-black eyes soft with concern as he approached. He moved with his usual swagger, but there was a gentleness in his step, a carefulness that told you he had noticed something was wrong long before you even realized he was there.
"I was wonderin’ where y’ were hidin’," he said quietly, taking a seat beside you on the ledge. His gaze flicked over your hunched shoulders, the tension in your jaw, and the way you were avoiding his eyes. "You feelin’ okay?"
You swallowed hard, shaking your head slowly. "Not really, Remy."
He frowned, his gloved hand brushing lightly against your arm. "Wanna talk ‘bout it?"
You hesitated, your stomach churning with anxiety. You had never been able to hide the truth from him, even if you wanted to. Remy had always been observant, and more than that, he genuinely cared. But explaining this part of yourself—your mutation, the grotesque side of it that felt too monstrous—was something you weren’t sure you could put into words.
"I…," you started, your voice shaky, "it’s happening again."
Remy’s brow furrowed, and he leaned in closer. "The hunger?"
You nodded, the word alone making your chest tighten. "I’ve been holding it back, but it’s… it’s getting stronger. I can feel it. The need to—" You trailed off, your fingers trembling as you pressed them against your lips, stopping yourself from saying it aloud.
Remy was silent for a moment, his expression unreadable, but then he reached for your hand, gently prying it away from your face. "Y’ don’t gotta be ashamed of it, chère."
You let out a bitter laugh, shaking your head. "How could I not be ashamed, Remy? I look like… this." You motioned to your body, the pale, scarred skin, the patches of near decay that marked your appearance. "I feel like some kind of monster."
"Y’ ain’t a monster," he said firmly, his grip tightening around your hand. "Y’ never been a monster, *chérie*. I’ve seen monsters, and y’ ain’t one of ‘em."
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes, the weight of his words making your throat tighten. "I want to believe that," you whispered. "But when I get like this… it’s hard. I feel like I’m losing control. And I hate it."
Remy’s thumb brushed softly over the back of your hand, and he tilted his head, his voice gentle but unwavering. "Y’ ever let me help with it? Let me be there when y’ feel like y’ losin’ control?"
You bit your lip, unsure of how to answer. You didn’t want to burden him with your mutation, with the horrors of it. He deserved better than that—better than the side of you that wanted to consume, to bite and tear just to keep yourself grounded.
"I don’t want to hurt you," you admitted softly. "Or anyone else."
Remy chuckled softly, his eyes glinting with that familiar mischievousness. "Chère, I got enough trouble handlin’ myself. Ain’t worried ‘bout a few rough patches with you."
He reached up, brushing a loose strand of hair away from your face, his hand lingering there for a moment. "Y’ ain’t gotta do this alone, y’know. I can take a bite or two, if it means keepin’ y’ safe."
You blinked at him, surprised by the sincerity in his tone. "Remy, you—"
"I mean it," he cut you off, his voice soft but serious. "If y’ ever feel like that, y’ tell me. We can figure it out together. I ain’t scared of ya."
Your chest tightened, a flood of emotions overwhelming you. How could he be so calm about this? How could he look at you, someone who was practically a walking corpse, and not flinch?
"I don’t understand," you whispered, your voice shaking. "How are you not scared of me?"
Remy smiled, that easy grin that never failed to make your heart skip a beat. "Because I know y’. I know the real y’. And all this—" he gestured to your appearance, "—that don’t change nothin’. It don’t change how I feel ‘bout y’."
Tears slipped down your cheeks before you could stop them, and you looked away, overwhelmed by the weight of his words. "Remy, I—"
"I love y’," he said softly, cutting through the doubt swirling in your mind.
Your breath caught in your throat, and you turned to face him, wide-eyed. "You… you love me?"
He nodded, his eyes soft and unwavering as he held your gaze. "Always have. Don’t matter what y’ look like, what y’ go through. I’m here, mon cœur. I love y’, just as y’ are."
A sob escaped you before you could stop it, and you leaned into him, your body shaking as you let yourself fall apart in his arms. His arms wrapped around you tightly, holding you close as you cried into his shoulder.
"I’m scared," you whispered, your voice muffled against him.
"I know," he murmured, his hand stroking your back gently. "But I’m here. I’ll always be here. Y’ ain’t gotta be scared no more."
And for the first time in what felt like forever, you believed him. The hunger still lingered, the darkness still clawed at the edges of your mind, but with Remy by your side, it felt a little less suffocating. A little less impossible to bear.
And maybe, just maybe, you weren’t so monstrous after all.
As you pulled back slightly, your eyes met his again, and without thinking, you leaned in, capturing his lips in a soft, tentative kiss. It was gentle, filled with all the things you couldn’t say, all the fear and love and gratitude swirling inside you.
When you finally pulled away, Remy smiled, his forehead resting against yours. "Told y’," he whispered, "ain’t nothin’ gonna scare me away."
For the first time in a long while, you smiled too. Maybe you could let yourself believe that.

Comfort
tags: amon x gn! reader (as far as i know), hurt/comfort kinda, implications of the mcs parents death, implications of amons parents death
note: not beta read, drabble i wrote last night bc i could sleep, probably ooc but oh well. mc is kind of just based on my own feelings so. wrote this bc amons my babygirl, posting bc there should be more for him
you were currently staying in the avisos palace for the next few days, courtesy to bael hoping to lure beelzebub back once again. despite being used as bait, bael was at least kind enough to give you your own room to stay in, though now it wasnt exactly being used.
you dont know what exactly it was, but you couldn't get your brain to shut off so you could rest. your brain was just too full of thoughts that you usually tried to suppress, but as much as you wish they'd dissappear they never seem to. instead deciding to haunt you late at night when there's nothing you can do to push them away.
after getting tired of your restlessness you decided to take a walk through the empty halls of the palace, hoping this would do to clear your mind so you could rest.
unfortunately your thoughts only seemed to echo in time with your footsteps, bouncing off the walls of your brain until it was too much to hold together anymore.
quietly you sat down by one of the windows, cracking it slightly to let the cool air hit your face that felt like it was burning up.
truly you didnt know why you were crying now of all times, you were in hell where tons of devils loved you, but you couldn't help but still feel lonely.
a hard painful lump was in your throat while you tried your best to keep quiet with your sobs and sniffles, not wanting to wake anyone. you wouldn't know how to explain why you're crying, there wasnt really a true reason, sometimes you just need it.
despite your attempts to keep quiet, the sound of foot steps came through the hall to the room you were in.
you quickly tried to wipe your face to hide any traces but there wasnt really a need as a blonde haired demon carefully entered the room.
"oh, its you... you're crying" amon thought aloud almost curiously. he had been on night patrol through the palace, making sure no one had snuck inside or if beelzebub had returned yet.
amon came closer to you by the window, a look of concern on his face. "is something wrong? are you hurt?" he asked, looking over you for any signs of physical harm.
you shook your head a bit embarrassed, though there was no hint of judgment in his eyes. "no im okay i was just having a hard time sleeping and all i guess... i dont even know why im crying its just... stuff from when i was younger and i just..." you trailed off, the painful lump in your throat and watery eyes returning.
you didn't need to finish your sentence though, amon had been told about your past already and he can understand without words how pain from years ago can still hurt just as deeply, how you can feel just as lonely.
"oh... I can keep you company if youd like" amon offered, sitting beside you and offering to hold you.
with a hesitant nod, you let amon pull you close to his chest, placing you on his lap and holding you tightly in his arms, feeling the tears continue to well up in your tired eyes despite the feeling of comfort he gave.
amon didnt let go or push you away, only holding you tighter and letting you cry into his chest as you needed.
he silently understood the way you felt, understanding the need to release pressure on these old feelings sometimes, and even though he cant make the lonely feeling dissappear, he promises to keep you company through them.
