I'm rewatching Attack on Titan with my cousin, who has never seen it, and boy, is it a tripping experience.
I first watched Attack on Titan when it first came out, back in 2013, and now in season 1, there are moments that just physically kick me back in time, back when we knew nothing.
My cousin said, "Are Levi and Mikasa related? They have the same last name," and I was struggling to remember why it wasn't obvious to us back then that there was a connection–
And then it hit me that we didn't know Levi's last name for a while. He does, but we didn't.
I remember the tumblr posts the most; I remember the horse face jokes, and the memes like "dead mom hairstyle" and eren joining the "did nothing wrong squad." I remember the fics with the Levi squad and the huge shipping between Levi and Eren– how Levi always called them gaki/brats and the "characters watch the show" fics. I remember the discourse between people who shipped eremika and those saying "they're siblings," and I remember the live action movie.
During an episode, I saw Levi's name spelled as "Rivaille" and could almost smell the summer air in my childhood bedroom where I watched AoT.
It's so bizarre watching the first season now that everything is over, because at the time, genuinely nobody could have seen it going the way it did. We never thought we'd end up here. All we wanted to know was what was in that goddamn basement.
Even as I have read and watched everything, when I'm back in season one, I just keep quietly wondering to myself...
How did we end up here?

AOT characters relationships with you.....
Levi Ackerman
At first your relationship with Levi wasn't good at all. You thought he's an arrogant bastard and he thought you're a lazy assed useless doctor who won't survive even a second on the battlefield. He got more pissed on you because he was ordered to train a fragile person like you and had to turn you into a soldier.
On the other hand, you used to get so pissed with him because he was a strict and harsh trainer. Also not to mention he used to insult you as often as he could. You almost shouted at him every day. But little did none of you two know, Levi liked it when you would get angry at him and you really liked shouting at him.
Slowly but surely, you two started to get close. You started to heal his mental and physical wounds, he focused on making you stronger. Not to mention he never hesitated to let anyone know that he was your protector and he would show no mercy to anyone or anything which will try to hurt you in any way.
But with you he was soft. He would cry on your shoulder, reveal his real feelings to you. You helped him to get out of his childhood trauma, showed him how amazing love and physical affection is.... You made him love you so hard that getting worried if losing you, he dragged your ass to the church and married you just when he got the chance. And thus you two become the ideal couple of the survey corps.
Hange Zoe
She's your best friend in the survey corps. Also not to mention you two spend the most time together. You two are like sisters to each other, you pulling her to shower she's pulling you out of your bed in the morning. Though there's a lot of difference between you two.... You two never fail to get along.
Also, she's the main supporting character in your relationship with Levi. Also the main teaser too!
Erwin Smith
Your relationship with him is formal but you two both respect each other. You slowly but surely get his trust and he started to trust you so much that he never imagined making you a pawn of his bet. Also you both support each other mentally if you two get the chance. Like he would console you if you wouldn't be able to save a soldier's life and you would console him if one of his plans would accidentally fail.
Special Operation Squad members
Since you were a member of this squad too and you spent most of your time with them, your relationship with them was pretty friendly. Especially with Petra, you cared for her like she was your little sister. Also you and Oluo would try to mimic Levi together, have fun chatting with Eld and Gunther. They even forced you to meet their family... That's how close you were with them. You were the breath of fresh air and happiness in the squad.
Mike Zacharias
Your relationship with him was just how two colleagues relationship should be. You two would meet often and talk about the normal things out of formality. Also you liked how amazing his smelling ability was, it always amused you.
Eren, Mikasa and Armin
You always cared for them as you little siblings. Especially Armin, who likes to read books just like you. You would chat with him for hours about your favourite books and not to mention support his amazing ideas and encourage him since he was so insecure about himself.
Eren and you had spent enough quality time together. He was so scared of Levi and you would try to reassure him as you would laugh seeing his scared expressions. Also most of the time you two would talk about the titan abilities and you would try to find out how many similarities titans and humans had until it was discovered that titans are actually humans.
Mikasa and you never really spend that much time together.... But you always respected her for her strength and protectiveness and she loved you for always saving Eren's ass from Levi.
Jean Connie and Sasha
Just like the previous trio, you cared for these three the same. Especially Sasha, you probably cared for her the most. You find her always the cutest and the most adorable. You litarery cared for her so much that you sometimes gave her the opportunity to sneak in the kitchen to steal food. Also you loved cooking for her and enjoyed seeing how happily she ate them.
As for Jean and Connie, you would always enjoy their jokes and stupidity. You would sometimes joke with them too to reduce some weight from your shoulder. They were a refreshment for you from the cruel life of the survey corps.
Historia Reiss
You always felt pity for her. You didn't know her until her true identity was revealed. After she became queen and started to work for the homeless-unwanted children, you helped her to run the orphanage and to manage the kids. You were with her during her pregnancy period and helped her to give birth.
A/N: Hello there everyone! So I decided to write my thoughts on what your relationship would look like with the AOT characters. Of course it's my and only my thinking, you guys can think in your way. Here you means 🫵 (if you wanna imagine yourself) also me and my oc.... The oc of the story I've been writing on my ao3 account.
So that's it! Hope ya all have a great day!

As I said before, I love your writing SOO MUCH >w< I hope you don't mind if I ask a request again, if so I'm sorry but I can't handle all these deaths in aot ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚
Can I request a scenario where characters like Levi's team (Petra, Oluo, Gunther, Eld) , Hange, Erwin, Mike, Moblit and Nanaba live? They are in forest around the fire like the scene where Zeke is in the forest, they are all sitting together, chatting, drinking and having fun. The reader and levi explain them that they are married, maybe one of levi's rare smiles
(♡´▽`♡) thank you and if you don't want to do it or change it, it's okay
(^з^)-☆Chu !!Love you<33

A little outdoor celebration
Levi x fem!Reader
Canon AU, fluff, romance, married, celebrations, camping.
Levi takes you to a little camping spot to meet the rest of the scouts. The gathering was organised for the scouts to relax a little, but Levi turned it into an announcement to reveal the marriage between the two of you.

A warm evening breeze drifted through the trees. The warm hand of your husband was so soothing to you. It was exciting that he was taking you on a woodland walk, at night and in his uniform. You could never get over how handsome he was in his uniform. It all fitted him so well and his cravat was so cute.
Those alluring steel-blue eyes of his looked over at you causing your cheeks to heat up. A cute small smile that you had come to love spread over his lips. Though his smile was rare to others, it was something you saw a fair few times. A smile from Levi was reserved just for you.
His warm lips against the back of your hand made your heart flutter. Those dazzling eyes of his locked onto yours as he kissed. A desire overcame you, you just needed to feel Levi. With a gentle tug, you pulled him against you. Your loving lips pressed against his flustering you both.
Levi wrapped his arms around you and held you close against your warm body. His loving fingers tangled in your hair as his tongue moved against yours. He released your lips before gently kissing you to confirm his love.
He gently took your hand in his allowing him to continue his walk with you to the campsite. "We're a little late, but I'm sure they'll be okay with it."
"Where will we be sleeping?"
He looked up at the tall and imposing trees. "Up top." He glanced over at you. "We'll be sharing."
A heat consumed you as naughty thoughts took over. "R-Really." You gasped a moment. "Oh, I've never used your gear before. It'll be like flying when you take me. I can't wait!"
"I'll be fun."
A soft hum of talking and laughter got louder. The welcoming smell of a bonfire and food drifted over to you and Levi. It was exciting to meet the massive team after everything they'd been through. They'd faced the female titan and lived to tell the tale and met the beat titan for the first time and Mike fought back. It was a miracle they all lived and it truly showed how strong they all were.
"Levi!" Erwin strolled over. "You made it."
Levi pulled you closer. "We did."
Erwin leaned around Levi to see he was shielding you, which showed just how much Levi loved you. "You must be the woman Levi mentioned."
You gave your name. "Lovely to meet you."
He shook your hand. "You too. We have plenty to drink and eat. I also made suer the tent in the tree for Levi was big enough for two."
"Thank you."
Levi squeezed you against him. "Good. I would have been pissed if we weren't sharing."
You tugged on his shirt a little. "Levi? Could we get something to eat?"
He held your hand and pulled you to a little spot. "Here okay? Eat anything you like." He got you a bowl full of stew and a drink. "You deserve it."
Petra and Oluo decided to join you and Levi. Petra smiled at how Levi was with you. "Are you two dating?"
You stopped eating and looked at Levi. "Umm." You didn't say a thing because you knew Levi had kept his marriage to you quiet. It wasn't because he was embarrassed, but he just wanted privacy. "Levi?"
Levi took your hand. "We're not dating. She's my wife."
Your cheeks burned at his declaration. "Yeah, we're married."
Oluo stared. "The Captain? Married?" His head raced at learning something about someone he looked up to for years keeping information from him. "Marriage..."
Mike walked over and handed Levi a bottle. "Wine?"
Levi held his hand up. "No thank you."
Mike sniffed the air and hummed. "You smell like each other."
Levi released a long sigh. "I should announce it." He pulled you close. "Everyone? I want to tell you all something." He looked at you and smiled sweetly surprising everyone. "This is my wife."
Hange raised a cup. "A toast! To the married couple! Let's make tonight about the scout victories and Levi actually getting a woman to like him!"
"Tch, shitty glasses."
You giggled as the group cheered. "This will be fun."
Levi looked at you. "Mm, I suppose. What's important is you. Sleeping in the tree together will be fun."
You felt your cheeks burn. "I think so too."

Erwin, Mike, Nanaba, Gelgar, Hange, Moblit and Levi Squad getting ready to go on a vacation road trip to a couple of cities. Rented out two vans to fit all of them + luggage (they all know getting one van would lead to an accident).
Getting ready to leave for the long trip though…hopefully someone packed lots of aspirin and ibuprofen for the trip. Modern AU.
thanks, this was fun!
one hell of a road trip
snk veterans. modern au. 1889 words.
Sitting in the driver’s seat of one of the vans, Levi glances at his watch for the fifteenth time. They were supposed to leave two hours ago, but everyone keeps trying to cram last minute items into their luggage cases or running back to grab something else. Levi has gotten out of the driver’s seat a half dozen times already to stretch his legs. Every time, he had told himself to just give his friends a few more minutes and that they’d be ready to leave soon, but he has half a mind to just drive off without them.
In the back, he can hear his friends arguing. Levi had taken a few aspirin tablets earlier to fend off the inevitable headache that would come with traveling with so many people in a cramped van, but he’s debating taking another one. Enough time has passed that it probably won’t hurt to take another tablet or two.
“Are you sure we have everything? Maybe we should pack extra clothes in case we run out,” Gunther says worriedly. Gunther is incredibly meticulous, sometimes too meticulous. He’s been fretting over what to take on the trip and had blown up the group chat with dozens of messages last night to ask if he should bring supplies they probably wouldn’t need: tents and sleeping bags even though there were plenty of motels and inns along the way, canned and dried foods in case despite the towns along their route that are sure to have convenience stores or gas stations with snacks at the very least, and survival gear in case their car broke down and they were forced to fend for themselves in the wild which was very unlikely to happen. Everyone had assured him that he was going overboard, but it seems Gunther still isn’t convinced.
“I think we’ve packed enough clothes, especially you. Do you really need two luggage cases worth of clothes? That’s not including the other bags of stuff you packed,” Eld says. He’s been subtly throwing out unnecessary items while Gunther wasn’t looking, sneaking them over to Moblit who would run back and leave them in the house. “We’re going to weigh down the van with all this stuff you’re packing. We might not make it a mile. It’ll be a miracle if we don’t break down in the middle of the road from all this baggage!”
“That’s why I packed the survival gear!” Gunther huffs.
Behind Gunther’s shoulder and out of his sight, Moblit looks over at Eld and shakes his head to indicate that he’s managed to return all of Gunther’s survival gear and emergency rations to the house. It’s extra work, but Moblit was already hauling back extra gear that Hanji was trying to pack too. It was fine when Hanji asked to take their gaming laptop and some of their handheld consoles, but Moblit had to draw the line when Hanji tried to sneak in their entire PC gaming computer.
Petra slips into the passenger seat of the van Levi is in. Even though they’ve been getting ready to leave for hours, she looks as cheerful as ever. The smile is just a mask, however, because she reaches into the cupholder where Levi has placed the bottle of aspirin and shakes out a tablet before swallowing it down with a gulp of water. Once she’s done, she looks over and flashes a smile at Levi.
“How are you holding up?” she asks.
Levi sighs through his nose. He glances at the rearview mirror where he can observe Eld and Gunther still arguing in the back. “Should we just leave now? We can leave them here. They can squeeze into the other van and go on their trip. Let’s just go by ourselves.”
“A private trip does sound good, but Auruo was looking forward to this group trip so much. Let’s plan a trip for ourselves once we come back from this from.” Petra leans over and presses a light kiss against Levi’s forehead before hopping out of the van to help their friends finish packing.
Mike is sitting on the sidewalk marking the pit stops they’ll be making on their road trip. The group had debated earlier on whether they should take a map or just rely on the GPS, but Gunther wouldn’t hear of going without a map in case the GPS stopped working inexplicably. Mike had decided to take it upon himself to mark it up with stops for them to reload and refresh as well as take note of any landmarks they’re interested in visiting.
Nanaba peers over Mike’s shoulder and looks amusedly at the route they’re apparently planning on taking. The route to each city is less of a straight path and more roundabout than Nanaba had anticipated. A closer look makes Nanaba realize that some of these so-called landmarks are actually more out of the way than they should be. It’ll definitely delay their trip if they visit places that veer too far from their destination.
“Are we really going here? Some of these landmarks sound weird,” Nanaba says. She leans down to take a closer look at the map, squinting as she reads the name of a place Mike has circled on the map. “Shiganshina Emu Farm? Why are we visiting an emu farm?”
“Why wouldn’t we visit an emu farm?” Hanji pipes up from behind them. Hanji plops themselves down beside Mike. They throw an arm around Mike as if protecting him from Nanaba’s judgmental gaze. “Emus are magnificent creatures. If we’re in the area, we should visit them!”
“Okay,” Nanaba says, but she doesn’t sound entirely convinced. She frowns as she scans the rest of the map and notices that the other places Mike has marked are equally as peculiar. She grabs the map from Mike while he’s still marking it, leaving a red streak that runs across the map. Nanaba reads out the names. “World Erotica Museum? Corn Palace? World’s Largest Objects? What’s even that last one?”
“It’s a town with some of the world’s largest objects — absolutely gigantic!” Hanji says enthusiastically and Mike nods beside her.
Nanaba looks at Hanji and Mike suspiciously. After a pause, she points a finger at Mike. “How much did Hanji pay you?”
“I didn’t pay him! He’s interested in going to these places too,” Hanji insists, and Mike nods in agreement.
“I’ve always wanted to go to the World Erotica Museum,” Mike says without even cracking a smile.
Nanaba observes Mike for a moment and then says to Hanji, “Give me the same amount of money as you gave him and I’ll help convince the others to visit all the landmarks you want no matter how ridiculous they are.”
Hanji’s face brightens and they hold out a hand to Nanaba to shake. “Deal!”
Moblit is at the second van trying to shut the trunk. Although he had tried to return the bags Hanji didn’t need, they had somehow found their way back in the trunk of the van. Hanji had even managed to stick them underneath everyone else’s luggage case, making it even more difficult for Moblit to just remove Hanji’s bags and put them back in the house. Exasperated, Moblit throws up his hands and goes up to the passenger seat where Erwin is to seek his friend’s help. It seems, however, that Erwin has already started relaxing.
A notorious workaholic, it had taken ages for everyone to convince Erwin to clear his schedule for the road trip. Now that he has, it seems he’s on vacation mode. He’s dressed in a Hawaiian shirt (despite the fact that they’re going nowhere near the island), a wide brimmed straw hat, and sunglasses. In his hand is a half-finished mimosa. It’s his sixth one today, and they have two pitchers of sangria in one of the ice boxes they’ve packed that Erwin plans on starting on once he finishes his current drink.
“What’s wrong, Moblit? You look like you could use a drink. Have a mimosa,” Erwin says. His speech is only the slightest bit slurred, and he speaks slower than usual. He has a serene smile on his face as he raises his glass as if to toast Moblit.
“No thanks,” Moblit sighs. He should probably leave Erwin to relax anyway. It’s rare that Erwin takes a day off, let alone a week. Desperate, Moblit looks into the van to ask Gelgar for help unpacking some of Hanji’s extra bags, but he finds Gelgar passed out in the back.
Before this trip had started, Gelgar had taken motion sickness medicine because of the awful motion sickness he gets on long car rides. It was the nondrowsy kind, but he’s been rendered unconscious anyway because of the strength the medicine.
It looks as if Moblit isn’t going to get any help. He sighs and returns to the back of the van that’s absolutely stuffed with things. He frowns as he takes in the mess in front of him. Maybe if he just rearranges everything, he might be able to fit everything better and won’t have to make a return trip to put back Hanji’s things.
Once packing is over, they finally start on their trip. Their first stop is a town in-between where they are now and the city of Liberio. It’ll be a few hours for their stop, and Levi is sure it’s going to be an annoying one. While he cares deeply for his friends, their constant bickering can get annoying at times and he expects there will be a lot of it with everyone cramped into the van. It’s surprising to him when they manage a half hour without any arguing.
He looks at the rearview mirror and frowns. Something isn’t quite right.
“Where’s Auruo?” he asks.
Everyone freezes for a moment before exchanging panicked looks. In their haste and exhaustion, they had forgotten their friend. Auruo's absence also went unnoticed in part of the luggage that had filled not only the trunk but also a few seats in the van, making it difficult to see who was seated and who was missing completely.
“He said he was going to the bathroom,” Gunther suddenly remembers.
“Didn’t he already go before?” Eld asks.
“He said he had to go again,” Gunther says.
“No wonder it was so quiet,” Petra comments.
“Why didn’t you notice he was gone! You managed to pack sleeping bags and extra blankets for everyone but couldn’t even keep track of all of us?” Eld snorts.
“Make fun of me all you want, but you’ll be thanking me when we don’t freeze our asses off in the cold,” Gunther retorts.
“We weren’t ever going to do that anyway because we were going to be booking into motels and inns the whole time!” Eld protests.
Levi makes an abrupt U-turn that sends everyone yelling as they’re thrown to one side of the van. He ignores the strange looks that Mike and his friends give him as Mike’s van passes them. “Text the others and say we’ll catch up to them after we pick up Auruo.”
He glances at the bottle of aspirin still sitting in the cupholder. He hopes he has enough to last the entire trip, but something tells Levi he’ll probably need to buy another bottle or two before the trip is over.

Yoooo
Not sure how this goes but how about prompts #22 or #29 for levihan? Whichever inspires you more/first xD
Yoooo Koala Bear! Smut Scribbles 22: “Show me how much you need me.”
Now or Never (Part 1) (NSFW) Characters: Levi x Hange; Levi x Petra (mentioned: Mike, Nanaba, Oluo, Gunther, Eld) Word Count: 2178 words
New Year’s Eve. The city streets were swarming with visitors returning from the local shrine, heads bowed against the cold, night air. Beneath a black sky pin pricked with stars, apartment windows offered their own warm glow; a brief exhibition of the different lives within.
And in his bedroom, Levi Ackerman was rudely awoken by a foot colliding with his face.
“Ah, fuck!”
He sat upright, stifled by the stench of sweat and stale beer. It pressed in on him like a wall of heat. Gunther, who was lying upside down beside him, sprawled over onto his stomach and groaned into the mattress.
“Not sharing a bed with these guys again…” Levi decided ruefully, climbing out and standing on the carpeted floor. As soon as he had moved, Gunther swung over onto his back and stretched out his limbs like a starfish. Supposing that that was the end of the struggle, Levi stepped gingerly over Oluo and Eld who lay crumpled beneath a mismatch of covers.
Bending down to unplug his phone, Levi tapped on the screen to see no missed notifications. He hadn’t been expecting a follow up response after Petra’s brief but sincere ‘Have a great night! Can’t wait to hear all about it! See you next year :)’ And yet, he could not help but feel a sense of something… lacking. It had been a recent revelation, their progression from acquaintances to dating. Petra was a junior at the organisation where Levi worked, and best friend to the three sleeping bodies which were currently slumped in various corners of his bedroom. Whilst she had taken a trip with her family to celebrate the new year, Levi had been coerced into putting up an assortment of work and university friends after a long night of drinking. That was the thanks he got for being the only adult responsible enough to rent an apartment within walking distance of a major station.
Levi shuffled out into his hallway, towards the long through room which encompassed a lounge, diner and kitchen. Here the shutters were partially-closed to the city’s luminescence, leaving a little light to dilute the darkness. At the end of the room, the countertop was covered with beer bottles, half-drunk cups and crusted plates. Levi’s sofa was swaddled in a brown, paisley blanket; Hange’s arm protruding from beneath. Nestled in the space between the sofa’s back and Levi’s bookshelves, Mike and Nanaba were sharing a single futon. She was pulled tightly to Mike’s chest, her pinkened face half-hidden in his shirt.
Awake now, despite his aching temple and bleary eyes, Levi looked towards his kitchen with grim determination. There was nothing else for it, especially since his entire array of bedclothes had been donated to his friends.
At the sink, he carefully pulled the tap on, angling it so that the spray did not hit anything noisy or metallic. Yet, someone was stirring at the sound of water. Levi turned to see Hange disentangling themself from the blanket.
“Go back to sleep…” Levi approached, keeping his voice low so as not to awake anyone else. “I got woken up, so-” At this, he gestured towards the cluttered kitchen as though this provided a comfort which sleeping no longer could.
“What, did the mess give you a nightmare?” Hange was sitting up, rubbing beneath their glasses. “Can I help?”
“No…” Levi looked doubtfully at the washing up brush he was holding. “I’m just killing time.”
“Levi, it’s-” Hange pulled out their own phone from where it had slid beneath the sofa. “-four in the morning. You can’t wash up all night. Just sleep here.” To demonstrate, they pulled back the cover. Levi hesitated, regarding the space on the sofa beside them warily.
Under other circumstances, sharing a sofa with a friend in order to catch up on some much needed sleep would not have been anything momentous. However, there was nothing normal about the circumstances between Levi and Hange. The pair of them shared a long, muddied history which began with Levi losing Hange’s number on the second day of university. Reuniting the following day had led to five years of friendship, only recently culminating in one heated episode. Three months had passed since that moment, and yet the memory of it was as fresh in Levi’s mind as though it had occurred yesterday. Unsurprising, given the amount of replays he had devoted to it. However brief, however trivial their encounter had seemed at the time, it was made worse by the fact that neither had spoken a word about it since.
Hange was beginning to rise from the sofa cushion, forcing Levi to put out his hands. Both whispered at once, each insisting that the other take the couch.
“Come on, let’s just sleep here,” Hange sighed finally. “It won’t be weird…”
Levi suffered a swooping sensation, like the sudden shock of missing a stair. It was the first time they had come close to acknowledging those reckless actions which had accidentally dented the Platonic exterior of their relationship.
“...we need to sleep. I’ll face away from you so you don’t get blasted by my bad breath!”
Levi looked hopelessly over at the washing up. His mouth felt parched and a steady pulse was throbbing behind his eyes. With a curt nod, he quickly lay down and dragged the blanket over him, as though the speed of the action would make it less controversial. The couch creaked in protest as Hange rolled over. Their body was squeezed as close to the sofa’s back as possible, affording Levi room to lie behind them.
Resting his head on the very edge of their shared pillow, Levi waited. It struck him all at once; he would never be able to sleep like this. His mind was alight like a livewire; his skin prickled. Readying himself, he half-expected Hange to speak again or turn to him without warning. Levi pressed his hands between his knees, his rigid body angled away from them. He had never felt so awake in his life. Only now it was too late to change his mind. What reason could he give for getting up? Levi could not afford to have Hange realise the extent of his awkwardness for fear it would further fracture their friendship.
Where he lay, Levi could not help but catch faint strains of coconut from Hange’s hair. It was that dry shampoo they stuffed it with whenever they resorted to survival mode; something sickly sweet but oddly comforting and familiar. Levi drew each shallow breath through clenched teeth. Beside him, Hange's chest rose and fell rhythmically whilst the air in his own lungs scorched him. It was too hot; too confined beneath this single blanket with the scent and the heat of them enveloping him. He kept his hands pressed in tightly, as though to accidentally brush against them would burn his skin. Agonising, unending torture. It pained Levi to recall how often he had swept an arm over his own cool, unwrinkled sheets, lamenting the shape of their absence; longing to have Hange lying this close to him. All those sleepless nights he wished for exactly this and now- No. Not here. He couldn’t give into those thoughts here. Those were fading memories, overwritten by the present. Now, there was Petra.
Turning his thoughts firmly to Petra, Levi felt himself begin to relax. Meanwhile, Hange was breathing deeply, blissfully unaware of his inner turmoil. Fatigue lay heavily upon Levi’s body and, as his face sank into the crumpled pillow, his eyes closed.
It was a low grunt which caused Levi to jerk awake. In the immense effort of casting off what felt like several hours of deep sleep, he tried to orientate himself. Coarse strands of hair were tickling his cheeks. He was curled on his side, pressed against something. The cotton of the pillow was gone. Levi inhaled the scent of coconut, his face nestled in the warmth of Hange’s neck. Horrified, he quickly withdrew to the very edge of the couch. The abruptness of his movements should have awoken them, and yet they lay perfectly still. Levi tensed. He could have sworn he heard a breathy chuckle and then… there was silence. For a moment, he envied them. Hange swept in and out of his life with all the passion and violence of a storm, arriving with a crash and leaving with nothing more than a whisper. What he wouldn’t give to live and love so freely…
Positioning himself with care, Levi’s head was perched at the end of the pillow; legs hung precariously over the edge of the sofa cushions. If exhaustion had not crept over him once more, inviting and unannounced, he would have given up any attempts at sleep. But Levi could no more contemplate braving the cold air outside the blanket more than he could stepping onto the cool, wooden floorboards. He gripped his hands under the pillow, and once again surrendered to rest.
Beneath his palms, the heat of their cheeks burned. Levi was cupping Hange’s face in his hands as his lips pressed theirs. Each kiss was dizzying; addictive. As he leaned into them, he felt Hange respond with increased pressure as they savoured each brush of his lips. They sank backwards, causing the makeshift bed to groan under the weight of them both. Levi was drawn out between Hange’s legs, his tongue gliding across the back of their teeth. Beneath him, Hange gasped, open-mouthed as their back arched off the thin mattress. The press of their body sent hot whips of pleasure lashing through him. Levi’s eyes rolled back as they fluttered closed. If this is how good they felt on his cock whilst fully clothed… Levi’s hips pistoned forward against them. So fucking good. His teeth grazed and pulled at their lower lip. Breathlessly, he withdrew to gaze down into Petra’s flushed, smiling face.
This time Levi awoke groggily. The thick, oppressive layer of sleep coating his mind was even more difficult to shake off than before. Outlined by a slither of street light filtering through the shutters, Levi could make out the sofa’s back and Hange’s sleeping form in front of him. His body was moulded to theirs; arms aching as he clung to their waist. Their weight rested against him, back held flush to his chest. And, still worse, he was hard. Shamefully, unbearably hard. With a sigh, Hange shifted against him. As though on instinct Levi’s body responded, hips rolling into them, sending another wave of whitehot electricity coursing through him. His eyes closed in agony; mouth filled with saliva. Levi was lost in the heat of them; wanted nothing more than to keep up that same rhythm; relish that delicious, blistering friction as it intensified… Levi moaned into their neck, loud enough to drown out Hange’s quiet gasps.
“Shit-” The cold realisation of what he was doing suddenly dawned upon him. Levi struggled to sit up. With a fluid movement, Hange turned over and caught his wrist in their hand.
“Shh!” they hissed, “Mike and Nanaba.”
Levi froze, hardly daring to draw breath. “Shit. Shit. I…”
Half-lowering himself, Levi’s limbs stiffened. His head barely grazed the pillow. Hange’s face was so close to his own that he could feel the heat lifting from their cheeks. Levi clutched the underside of the sofa arm to prevent himself from falling.
“It’s okay,” Hange mouthed, hardly audible. “I’m not going to kiss you.”
“You’re not?”
“You sound disappointed, Levi.” He could hear quiet breath whistling down their nose. Up close their eyes appeared large and dark in the gloom. Desperately, Levi sought for a safe response amongst dozens of dangerous options, but came up empty-handed. He was seized with a need to clear his throat.
“Are you?” Hange added.
Levi’s mouth was almost too dry to speak.
“Can’t-”
“What?” Their breath was on his mouth. Their familiarity, their smell, their warmth was clouding him; pulling him under. Less than an inch stood between them; it would be too easy to close the gap. Levi knew that if he shifted only slightly, Hange would melt into him. The thought alone was enough to harden him more. It took every fibre of his resolve to remain still.
But Hange didn’t move any closer.
“Levi, we can sleep here and never talk about this again.”
Levi could hardly speak, hardly breathe as they drew towards him.
“Or… you could show me how much you need me.”
One last, star-filled night. This night. The pair of them crowded close, noses almost touching beneath an old, threadbare blanket. Here, where they were hidden from other’s eyes. This would be his only chance. It was never to be repeated again. But, it was impossible; staggering in its enormity. Either he leaned in and claimed everything he had been longing for, for five long years. Or he remained where he was; refrained from crossing a boundary that would sully two relationships held so dear to him. The course of his future lay in his decision.
And decide he did.

searching for aot/attack on titan writing partners (updated NEVER EXPIRES)
Elle. 20+. GMT. discord/tumblr/docs. I'm a long-term roleplayer and I will literally send you memes and HCs and create Pinterest boards and google docs one hour after we start talking because I'm both stupid and unhinged. I joke around a lot but be critical of the media you consume or leave, also this is a no bigotry zone.
WE'LL GET ALONG IF:
You are older than 19 years old.
You’re not interested in smut-centered plots.
You’re genuinely ok with doubling up. I've been roleplaying for over a decade, trust me it's blatant when someone is forcing themselves to write a character they don't want to write.
You're okay with discussing family-centered content, even if it's not realistic / just in an AU - I love talking about families and our characters as parents, so this is a must for me.
You don’t care intensely about following what’s canon: my philosophy is to look at the world that is provided to us and turn it into our playground.
You like plots with a mixture of realism and clichés: realism is VERY important to me especially when writing ships, but i WILL conjugate that realism with more cringy elements (like love triangles, pinning, and accidental pregnancies).
You’ll match my energy. I'm going to jump right to plotting and shipping to gauge if we’ll be compatible or not because I don’t like to waste time.
You can communicate and be enthusiastic: I'm a very devoted roleplay partner. I don't expect us to talk every day and I don't expect fast replies, but if we don’t interact for 2 weeks, I'll clock out.
You'll explore mature topics with respect. I don't have trigger warnings and enjoy writing potentially triggering topics like manipulation, religious themes, and memory loss etc, but let's always be respectful.
what i'm interested in writing:
please know that ilse langnar, mike/miche zacharias, and eld gin are my main characters and i will always want to throw them at you, in a ship or in a brotp or i any other dynamic.
i only write m/f ships with new writing partners, sorry!
erwin smith x f oc
zeke yeager x f oc or pieck finger (i can write either)
porco galliard x f oc or pieck finger (i can write either)
marcel galliard x f oc
levi ackerman x f oc
and also:
reiner braun x f oc (selective with this one, need to discuss plot ideas first)
jean kirstein x f oc
jean kirstein x hitch dreyse
erwin smith x f oc
zeke yeager x f oc
mike zacharias x f oc
gunther schultz x f oc
eld gin x f oc
petra rall x m oc
hanji/hange zoe x levi ackerman (i can write either)
hanji/hange zoe x erwin smith (i can write either)
absolute massive bonus points if you do a mumu with me bc i love connecting characters and plots. i write ilse (and lynne) and if you give me a brotp for her with any of these characters : marlene, nabana, hange i will deadass cry. if you let me write mike or eld against erwin in a brotp i will deadass cry too.
ty for reading!! don't forget to say hi if you're interested. ✨

“Relax, my darling,” Erwin’s voice travels up his body in prickling waves. “Let me take care of you.” Erwin does take care of him. He’s given him more than he ever could have wanted in the years they’ve known each other. Erwin makes him feel loved. The voices are silent when Erwin leaves after a light breakfast. They know what they’ve done, Levi can feel their malicious grins plastered up the length of his spine. Deep rooted sentiment and fervor have ensnarled themselves in the gaps between his ribs. Blooms of white Carnations, Wisteria, and Tulips have pierced his lungs and the thorns of roses have nested themselves in his heart. Sprouts of undying love have planted themselves so deeply within him, that he doesn’t even know where to begin in digging them out — can’t imagine plucking them free without removing a vital part of himself with them.
So, I may have gone off the deep end this time. Kind of wrote my first Dead-Dove fic. And it kind of possessed me for nearly two weeks while I wrote all 90 pages of it.
Anyways. It's a lot. The tags are a bit spoiler-y, but I do recommend looking at them before reading this.
I also recommend pouring yourself a glass (or bottle) of wine while you read this one.
Enjoy!!

Summary:
The gravity of the whole conversation strikes Levi then. It weighs him down with vulnerability and emotions he’s not equipped to handle. Erwin’s offering him something he’s never held before, something he doesn’t know that Erwin’s ever even offered before.
“Okay..” Levi settles back into sheets. He lets Erwin peel their clothes off, one article at a time, and then rolls onto his side. Erwin pulls him in for another kiss.
It’s easy, like this, for Levi to relax. The voices have retreated to a hushed corner in his mind, leaving him to bask in Erwin’s attention, uninterrupted. Erwin’s kisses are serene, with little flicks of his tongue and docile fingers tracing the slope of his spine. Tension seeps from Levi’s muscles, he feels unbound — malleable. Everything is saccharine, as though he’s been dipped in golden honey with the way Erwin devours him in the most tender way possible. He has to hold onto Erwin, twist his fingers in pale blonde locks and grip sun-kissed skin. If he could, he’d carve both of them open, pry both of them apart at the seams, just to stitch them back together with a curved needle and silken thread.

Black Tea is Fine Ch.9
AO3 link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/44651227/chapters/112440589
Preview: "Hey Hans, sending a quick message to inform you I got the item you wanted. Come pick it up whenever you're free. And remember you have to tell me about this cute guy you-" But he never got to finish reading the message as a shriek filled the air, a frantic Hange hovering over him and snatching the device from out of his hands, barely missing the untouched cup of hot tea she left on the table. The woman shakily scanned over the rest of the message before pocketing her phone, trying hard to ignore the red blush rising on her neck.
The school's spring sessions had seamlessly transitioned to summer, just as quickly as the cool breeze and blossoming start of the year shifted into warm days that enticed students to spend their time outdoors instead of being cooped up within the school walls. And within that time, just as similarly, had the dynamic between Levi and Hange's friendship. The man had slowly softened and warmed up to the crazy eccentric chemist, letting her into his exclusive little bubble of people he considered tolerable, much to the shock of both his best friends. And although Furlan took a bit longer to warm up to Hange, Isabel became ecstatic about their friendship as Hange continuously indulged her with cavity filled sweets, much to the displeasure of the shorter man. The initial hostility he held towards Hange had ebbed away like water droplets evaporating during a warm summer day, and along the way he'd eventually learned to accept and adjust to the same quirks that had driven him mad when they had first met. Instead finding ways to deal with them in his own begrudging and fitting way (many of said methods including some sort of forced form of shower and physically tearing her away from her research so she didn't shrivel away at her desk like a moth). By all means the scientist's quirks and eccentricity still elicited an annoyed 'tch' that was specially reserved for her from time to time, but having spent so much time working with the woman he'd eventually accepted that it would be easier to deal with her that way than force her to change.
During the same time, he'd opened up more to his other coworkers at Paradis High as well, and even managed to acquaint himself with a group he didn't completely find revolting and could call them somewhat more than just coworkers. And although he vocally complained every time he was invited out for a group drinking night or meet up at someone's place, he allowed himself to be dragged without much complain by Hange, Mike, or Erwin. Nanaba would jokingly tease him for his grumpy mood but was always glad at seeing him join them as well. The woman even went on to add him to their group chat and rename their group to the 'Survey Corps' as a running joke that they, as seasoned teachers paved the way for Paradis High students' knowledge and expansion beyond the concrete walls of the school. He thought it was absolutely cheesy but the others seem to get a giggle out of it. To his surprise, he even got friendly enough to the group to actually have their numbers and contacts saved on his phone- saving him the potential of embarrassing himself if he had to contact any of them through Hange's number if he ever came across needing them. And despite his denial, he saved the photo Nanaba had taken of the group during their first outing together, even with that death glare he threw at the camera.
Similarly to Levi; Oluo, Petra, Eld, and Gunther all were newer staff additions as well, only having had started a few months to a year prior to when Levi joined. At first they held back from approaching him, not sure how much of the rumours floating around were true regarding the man. But after having saved them from an incident involving a clip of Oluo comparing Shadis to an animated googly-eyed potato taken by his friends and accidentally sent to the principal's email, they had learned that the man was not the murderous and cold-blooded man rumours depicted him to be. They had been lucky the janitor had passed by the bawling and bloodied mess that was Oluo who'd bit his tongue in fear of being reprimanded that day, and had granted them access to the principal's office to delete said email before Shadis had a chance to see it. Although no one wanted to nor dared question how the raven-haired man managed to easily hack into the security system, letting it become a mystery they were happy to ignore and pretend didn't exist. But because of the incident, Oluo had somewhat started idolizing Levi to the extend he started picking up his mannerisms and way of dressing- much to the displeasure of his pals and specially Petra.
"What do you think you're doing copying Levi, Oluo?! You're not as cool to pull it off!" She'd exclaim in frustration. And Hange couldn't help but tease him about it every time Oluo sneaked up to him whenever he was spotted. But from the incident the five eventually grew a bond between each other, which Hange dubbed the 'Levi Squad' as they all seemed to follow him like some sort of war hero.
And most shocking of all, even the students that held judgmental views towards him from the start started loosening up around him, some even chatting him up along the halls before going to their respective classes. Most being from Mikasa's friend group who seemingly had taken an interest in him because of the high praises Jaeger gave him, swearing on his life that he had saved his life. He did miss the days when he could get a fleet of students out of his way by just glancing at their direction, but it was also a nice change of pace to not have constant rumours spread about him. Specially ones that brought back memories he tried to disconnect from.
And as Levi had come to realize, all of this had started from the encouraged and semi-forced socializing that Hange had prodded onto him, which as she'd stated, was her own way to get even for all the forced showers he made her get. And as much as he hated to admit, he actually started liking working at Paradis High because of these newly formed bonds, it made him feel as if for once in his life, he actually belonged somewhere. That he was accepted and not looked down as some piece of scum from the poorest and most disliked part of the city. For once he didn't feel as if he was a havoc of grime ready to infest anyone who dared get close to him. Because up to recent, he could just imagine the invisible grime covering him, oozing and ready to repel anyone away, bringing misfortune to anyone that even attempted to be near him. The stupid grime that only he could see but was constantly reminded of every time he let down his guard. And to think this all started from one cup of black tea he had begrudgingly accepted back at the start of the year.
Despite the many friendships he'd harbored during the last five months, Levi and Hange seemed to spend most of their time together apart from the group. He had become Hange's favourite person to turn to when she found something interesting about her research, even taking up the spot on her speed dial from all the 3am calls she gave him when she had an eureka moment. And he just allowed her to blabber away as he silently worked away on some cleaning or got lulled into a nice slumber as he listened. Outside of their work they constantly stayed over at each other's places and ventured on random detours to antique bookstores, questionably licensed pet stores, random tea shops they've found, and cleaning supply stores whenever they had some free time, much to the amusement of Erwin and Mike as they pondered over how abnormal the two were for finding these places of interest. Only to come to the conclusion that only they would tolerate each other's unique quirks.
The infamous chemistry room had become their little safe place away from the rest of the school whenever they needed a breather from the chaos that came from working at a high school, and hosted the continuation of their countless tea filled afternoons, allowing them the perfect pockets of time to get to know each other on a personal level. Where through sips and shared cups of different teas they slowly revealed piece by piece the story of each other's pasts; allowing them to get a better picture of the person that lay behind their outward persona. And during the many sessions they spent together, piece by piece, Levi told her about growing in the filthiest and most crime ridden city within Sheena, one so hated it was dubbed the 'Underworld'. He told her of his mother who he loves dearly and understood that out of desperation to raise him and feed him had resorted to selling herself. And in return had attained sexually transmitted infections that both of them just couldn't afford to cure. Which became reason as to why she'd distanced herself from him so she didn't burden him with constantly having to come face-to-face with her weakening state, or to even make him stress about hospital bills. He told her about his youth in which he resorted to stealing from the rich in the community, and ended up befriending Furlan and Isabel, two orphaned kids that had helped him escape one of his unfortunately unsuccessful heists. He even told her of some of the regretful crimes he'd done and how much it still haunted him to this day, despite understanding he was just simply trying to live and depended on his survival instincts to get by.
During one particularly rainy day that reminded him of the fateful day his life changed, he told her of the day a young police officer had found him and Furlan fending off a group of traffickers that were going after Isabel- a group that the inspector had been searching for months. That had been the day he met Erwin Smith. It was also the day someone finally had reached out with good intentions and tried to save him from the world he never asked to be born into. From then on Erwin had done everything in his power to get Isabel and Furlan out of the system and decided to adopt them, taking in Levi as well since his mom wasn't well enough to take care of him. Although Erwin did his best to send part of his paycheck to help her medication whenever he could. At the age of 24 he had also pulled enough strings to help enroll the three teenage friends into one of the best schools within the Ehrmich district, where very soon they found themselves isolated and picked on for their background. But that only made them more motivated to prove them wrong, ending with the three of them graduating with some of the highest grades in their year. And despite all he's done for Levi in his lifetime, he still helped him once more with getting him the job as janitor at Paradis High.
"So that's why you're so loyal to Erwin." Hange had said with fascination as the man finalized his story. A glimmer of newfound appreciation and respect for the blond man swirling in her brown eyes. "No wonder you were so close to him from the start! And here I thought you had become instant best friends with him." At her words, a bright smile took over her face as an idea crossed her mind. "Does that mean that I get the title and honour of being Levi Ackerman's first friend at Paradis High then?" She asked, only to get a shove in return from the man next to her, eliciting a laugh to fall from her lips as she tried to steady herself before toppling off her high chair.
"Say... you never told me why you started working here. Of course, your obsession with cleaning and shouting at kids seem all to fall under the perfect work conditions for you, and it's not like we're not happy having you here, shorty, but you mentioned that Erwin helped you get this position so it doesn't seem like the first option you had in mind." Hange said as she stirred her tea, trying to let it cool down a bit before taking a sip.
Levi took his time as he watched the gentle wisps of heat evaporate from his cup, his hands holding onto the rim of the cup in the only way she'd ever seen anyone do. For a moment, time seemed to have stilled, no one moving or uttering a word as Levi continued looking into his cup, wordlessly. Hang was debating whether to change the subject when the man's voice finally spoke up.
"I needed the money... Mom needs the money." He mumbled softly, his words so gentle they almost mixed and flew away alongside the vapor.
At seeing his vulnerability, one so unknown to her, she started feeling bad for bringing up such a topic. She should have guessed it would be a sensible subject, but it had somehow slipped her mind from the excitement of getting to know his past. She should've been more careful. But before she could dwell too much in self blame, the man flicked at her forehead, bringing her attention onto his grey eyes. "Don't. You look like the biggest shit is stuck up your ass when you think like that." He said. And she couldn't help smile at his terrible way of making her feel better. It was their thing, the poop talks, one that others found absolutely appalling, but made complete sense to them both.
It was one of the many reasons she starting catching feelings towards him.
Your mom must be a wonderful woman to have given birth to such a kind son. I would love to meet her someday. Hange found herself thinking, as she watched the man in front of her with a smile, her eyes tracing the way the summer sun glimmered against his pale skin. Taking notice of the man's gaze shifting towards hers, she cleared her throat. She'd rather die than be caught ogling her best friend.
"Have I shown you the newest picture my sister sent me of Gabi?" Hange changed the subject, scrolling through her messages before landing on a photo attachment, opening it up to show it to the man, a fond smile on her face.
"Brat's getting bigger." He said with a tch as his eyes scanned the way the girl stood tall and proud next to a cannon. "She finally got to visit that war memorial she wanted to see?" He asked as he took a sip of tea. Hange let out a knowing chuckle. "Yes, she'd begged my sister for the last three months and finally drove her up the wall with her whines. I'm guessing the added stress from the incoming baby hadn't helped her either." She said as she looked at the photo for a second longer before placing the phone down on the table. Despite her not getting along with her mother, Hange had always had a soft spot for her younger sister, and her affection only grew in magnitude with her niece. Levi could easily tell from her stories and her fondness over the girl that they got along like real mother and child, their ponytailed mess of brown hair, their inquisitive brown eyes, their determination that only frustrates those around them, and even their weird obsessions seem to align with each other. And despite Levi having gotten to know Hange's life story, she never opened up to him about his mother's wish for her to get married- and even more, of her actual deep seeded desire to do so, but fear of falling into the same fate as her biological father held her down from dipping her toes into the far fetched idea. It had crossed Levi's mind once or twice why she'd never settled down yet. She was in her thirties and seemed to love children, and from the way her students saw her, they loved her just as much. Of course, he could see blatantly see her flaws and quirks, he wasn't blind for goodness sakes. But he could see she was a talented woman capable of loving and caring for others unconditionally with the big heart she had. Whatever man got to marry her would be extremely lucky.
With a stretch of her arms over her head and a groan, the woman sat up, walking towards her desk. "Want some cookies? Some girl scouts were selling them and I just couldn't say no to them. But um... I might have ended up buying more than intended." She said as she sheepishly went behind her desk and held up three bags full of sweets.
"Four-eyes, you truly are the most gullible person in the world. How did you get robbed off by a bunch of ten year old brats into buying the whole truck-load of cookies?" Levi grunted as he stared in disbelief at the pile of sweets. Before the woman could defend herself, her phone dinged, drawing both their eyes to the middle of the table where her screen lit up with a new message.
"Who's it from?" The woman asked as she started picking through the bags to find the one package that called to her. With a roll of his eyes, Levi pulled the brunette's phone towards him, his fingers lazily typing in her password (his own birthday because she reasoned that statistically speaking no one would put Christmas as their password) before scanning her notification bar. Taking quick notice of the background picture displaying both her pet leeches. Absolutely disgusting.
"From your sister." He called out, getting a hum of acknowledgement from the brunette. "Must be another message about Gabi then."
"Hey Hans, sending a quick message to inform you I got the item you wanted.
She didn't dare look at Levi's expression, scared of seeing if he'd read the rest of the words as well. Just that thought alone was mortifying enough to think about, but if he managed to put two and two together that he was the one they were talking about, she was ready to become feed to her beloved pets. Quickly clearing her throat, she shoved a bag full of cookies at Levi. "Here, for Isabel." She said in a mumbled hurry trying to shift the awkwardness into calmer waters, all the while ignoring the ringing of her phone in her pocket. But the silence that followed only seemed to amplify the vibrating machine and the obnoxious sound of her ringtone- the sounds of raptors from Jurassic World, which she hilariously tried to explain once were actually recorded sounds of two turtles mating.
Levi raised a brow but didn't comment on the woman's odd behaviour, instead taking a final sip of his tea. "I think I should get to checking on Jaeger. Can't trust the brat to get things done properly." Levi said as he stood up, stacking up his stool as he headed for the door. A blank and unreadable look on his face. He paused for a second at the doorway as he outstretched his hand back out to the blushing brunette, gesturing towards the bag of sweets. "I'll pass these along. Although if Isabel ends up needing a kidney transplant I'm taking yours in exchange." He drawled out before taking the bag out of Hange's hands, all the while avoiding looking the woman in the face.
"Answer your goddamn phone, shitty-eyes." He grumbled before closing the door behind him.
As he walked down the hallways, he couldn't help a blush from dusting his cheeks as well, although his was way more subtle than the one the woman sported. Get over it Ackerman, it's just a stupid crush. He told himself as he shook at his perfectly styled hair in frustration. He was praying to whatever God was out there that he hadn't made it obvious to the bespectacled woman that he'd read through the whole message, or that he had already interpreted from the words that he was the one at the end of their conversation. Despite his awareness of how close he'd gotten to Hange, as well of the way his heart beat faster at being in close proximity with the woman, and of the longing in his eyes whenever he caught sight of her, he'd made it clear to himself early on when he found out his feelings that he wouldn't pursue anything with her. He wasn't willing to risk everything and throw away the one relationship he had grown so fond of just because of a stupid crush. He knew that rationally it would only complicate things and the possibility of losing her for even entertaining such a selfish thought was not worth it in his eyes. He really did care deeply for her, even if his gruff attitude and lack of dotting words didn't portray his true feelings. But it was because he cared so much for her that he didn't see it fair to her to try to start something with her. He was just a boy from the Underground, what could he possibly give her that she didn't already achieve on her own?
Before he could entertain his thoughts further, he caught sight of a familiar boy who sported a similarly absentminded look on his face. This at least was enough to shift his attention away from the woman for a second.
"Oi, you call that cleaning? That window looks worse than before you started, Jaeger." Levi's voice droned over to the dazed out high schooler. "You trying to make a stained glass instillation?" At his words, Eren looked up at the window he'd aimlessly been scrubbing at the last ten minutes, only now realizing that he'd been wiping away at it with a tablecloth he'd used to wipe at a paint spill in the art room earlier. The brunet's green eyes widening in realization and surprise at the streaks of red smearing the window panels.
"Levi, sir! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to create a mess!" He sputtered out as he fumbled with the supply cart searching for the proper supplies. Levi watched him with a bored manner as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his shoulder, assessing the boy in silence. He knew that Jaeger was clumsy, but this was beyond his typical fumbles.
"Spill it brat, what's got you all constipated and wasting my good cleaning supplies?" He asked inquisitively, taking track of the crossed brows on the boys' forehead indicating his distress. For a moment he thought he was ignoring him and was about to ask again when the boy finally let out a sigh, turning to look at the man he considered his mentor.
"My stepbrother... he found out about the cigarettes and fire incident when Mikasa brought up the incident a few days ago. I wasn't aware he'd be home so early that day, so he overheard the whole thing." Eren gave a sigh as he started spraying cleaning solution onto the windows. "Ms. Zoe had done everything she could to keep it a secret from my parents, but seems like it's all going to go to waste if my brother decides to tell them instead."
Levi watched the discouraged kid as he wiped at the window, leaving behind even bigger smears of paint as the solution mixed with the paint and slushed downwards through multiple droplets of red in a way that the janitor could only describe as driplings of blood. Levi had to actually bite down on his tongue to stop himself from cursing at the boy- although he couldn't possibly fight back the grimace that took over his facial expression. "I'm taking you're not on best terms with your brother?" He voiced out through gritted teeth.
Eren let out a shrug. "Never got along with him. Mom and I found out that dad had another family and never informed either one us of it. We only figured it out when Zeke showed up to our doorstep one day to confront father. He's not necessarily fond of me as I am of him. Unfortunately, in an effort to keep both of his families, dad and our mothers have agreed on letting Zeke come stay with us from time to time so we can bond together. Stupidest arrangement I've ever heard in my life..." He muttered darkly, putting a bit too much effort into his wiping and causing the window panel to sway slightly from the force. "That bastard was the one who brought this stupid arrangement to be. If he hadn't brought this up to our attention then mother wouldn't be heartbroken and our family would still be happy." He spat out.
Levi allowed the boy a minute of silence and solitude to cool down as he picked up his own supplies and started cleaning the window next to his. "Would you really have been happier being kept in the dark about your father's other family? Wouldn't it have been shittier if your stepbrother had kept it from you?" He finally asked as he finished his section.
Eren froze for a second before slowly shaking his head. "I'd rather have been ignorant of it. Now I can't look dad in the eyes anymore. I think that knowing too much can actually hurt more." He mumbled quietly as his hands stilled over the newly cleaned window. Levi studied the boy quietly and came to the realization that Eren was indeed relying on him in a way that a kid would a mentor. Maybe shitty-glasses had been right after all.
"You think your brother will give your ass up to your parents?" Levi gruffly asked as he shoved the kid to the side, redoing the panel he'd been working on. "I... I don't know. He was never super hostile to me, but I don't see why he wouldn't use this opportunity to try and pull one up on me." He muttered with honesty. "But... I don't want mom to think she'd raised the wrong child out of us... she's deserving of more than that."
At the sight of the disarmed boy next to him, Levi couldn't help but think of his own mother, and to what extends he'd gone through to protect her from his wrongdoings as well. And the similarities he saw of himself in Eren reflected back at him once more. Turning away from the boy, Levi let out a tch. "You've done a shitty job today. Go and rest up so you don't create extra work for me next time." He muttered, roughly taking the cleaning supplies out of the boy's hands, trying to ignore the surprised look the boy gave him.
"Are you not going? Should I make you clean the urinals instead?" He asked, but they both knew his words were void of any real threat. With a grateful smile, Eren bowed down to the man before heading down the hallway. But not before he froze and turned to the man once more, a blush and a sheepish look on his face. "Say, um... do you happen to know how Mikasa and Jean are doing? You know, just worried about horse-face and his ego, and Mikasa being my childhood friend, and Armin not tell-"
"Kid, do I look like a fucking messenger to you? Fucking ask her if you're so bothered." Levi deadpanned. And with that note, Eren turned once more and left the halls.
"Brats." He muttered.
----------
What Levi had not expected that day as he walked up to his apartment was for a familiar and rather drunk man to stand by his door. A rather obnoxious sleezy smile grazing his lips, the uninvited guest tipped his cowboy hat back to look down at the owner of the house when he caught sight of Levi's signature undercut.
"Ah, Levi, you finally decided to show up, huh?" Kenny chuckled as he pointed a hand holding a half empty liquor bottle at his nephew. "My, my, you haven't grown at all since the last time we met. Come here, give your uncle a welcoming hug." The older man chuckled as he opened his arms wide, waiting for the stunned man to come towards him like an obedient puppy.
Levi felt his blood freeze, his eyes widening in shock and confusion as his mouth fell agape, rendering him completely unable to utter a word. All stemming from the surprise at seeing his uncle for the first time in God knows how long. What was that bastard doing at his home? Why now of all times? Could it actually be him? For all he knew it could be a complete stranger pretending to be his uncle, he hasn't seen his face in so long he actually thought it could be possible. But just as quickly, his piercing grey eyes morphed into thin slits as the initial shock got overridden by the anger and resentment he held for the man.
"What are you doing here, Kenny?" He hissed as he swatted away the outstretched hands of the older Ackerman. And to his added annoyance, the drunkard only took another swing from his bottle before letting out a boisterous laughter. One that was bound to get complains from his neighbours.
"Can't an uncle drop by to his his favourite nephew?" He asked innocently, looking at the other man from over the bottle he went back to shugging from.
"Only if that said uncle decided to stay in their nephew's life and didn't disappear without a word for over 20 years." Levi hissed with all the pent up hate flowing freely through him now. Suddenly a flash of realization appeared in his eyes as he glanced at the door of his house with a panic. "What did you-"
"I didn't touch any of your precious friends. I made sure to come when they were both out." Kenny reassured Levi, allowing him one second of peace before the hatred returned in his eyes, grabbing the man forcibly by the collars and shoving him forcefully against the wall with hostility. "Great, now cut the crap and tell me what you're doing here? You got 20 seconds to explain yourself before that precious bottle of yours gets pushed up your ass as you crawl your way back to whatever hellhole you've been hiding in." Venom laced his words, his hands further pushing the man up the wall so his feet were slightly off from touching the ground.
A strained chuckle left the older man's lips as he looked down at the grey eyes that reminded him so much of his sister's. "I see you've kept up with the way I taught you to speak, little runt. It's so dirty compared to the good life you've built up for yourself in the city, boy." He chuckled, but only for a second as a wheeze replaced them as Levi's hold tightened onto his neck.
"10 seconds." He muttered darkly. And with a gulp, the easiness Kenny's expressions showed a few seconds ago disappeared, replaced with genuine fear. "A place to stay. I need somewhere to stay low until the police stop looking for me." He explained. At his words, the anger in Levi's eyes only intensified.
"No." Was all he said, barely above a whisper before he threw the man to the side, letting him go. "Get out, I don't want to see you standing by my house ever again." Levi said with finality, turning to open the door.
"Levi, c'mon! You can't throw your old man out like this! Remember I took you in and helped raise you when you were but a baby!" The man shouted, grabbing hold of the shorter man's leg.
"You took me in long enough to help me realize you're a bag load of shit, Kenny. And all you've left was a life filled with violence and a mother to take care of in the hands of an eight year old." Levi voiced out with malice, turning to glare at the man as he shook him off his leg. "Pieces of shit deserve to be left behind, right? That's what you told me, wasn't it?" And with a final shove, he turned the key in his hands and walked into the safety of his place. "Leave before I call security." He muttered before shutting the door behind him with a final bang.
For a moment all was still, only the rapid beating of his heart indicating time was passing by. He stood still against the door as he waited to hear the receding footsteps of his uncle. But despite his venom filled words, part of him hurt. Sure, he hated the man with his guts, and blamed him for his troubled past and his mother's worsening health, but it was also true that he had been part of his life at one point. He had taught him despite not being his actual son the necessary skills he needed to help provide for him and his mother when it was just the two of them. He had been his father figure at one point.
The sound of sirens passing by the building momentarily filled the air. Levi aware from knowing Kenny he wouldn't have left any evidence behind to lead the cops to his apartment, but still his fists clenched in worry as he struggled against the intrusive thought crossing his mind.
A soft chuckle filtered through the small gaps between his door. "Glad to see you're doing alright, runt. Make sure to keep those life lessons I've given you to use." Kenny's sleezy voice called out through the door, before some shuffling followed after him along with his fading footsteps.
And before he could slap himself and think things through, Levi swung open his apartment door, throwing the older Ackerman a shoe to the head to get his attention. "Get your ass in here, old man. I don't want the neighbours questioning why a dirty old bastard with a cowboy hat has been visiting me. I don't have the time or effort to answer to another cop investigation." He muttered, ignoring the surprised look his uncle gave him from across the corridor.
"Just remember, nothing comes free in life, everything has it's price. Your own words. So be ready for any favour I need to ask of you, piece of shit." Levi said.
---------
To say his day was shitty was an understatement. Having taken in Kenny had been a complete horror to live through, not to mention the looks of alarm and panic that crossed his best friends' faces when he explained to them about their momentary roommate. Of course, they'd never really come face-to-face with Kenny before, but they've heard of the tales of the so called "Kenny the Ripper", he was famous in the Underworld for a reason. And if Levi's skills had shown anything, then they could just imagine the kind of skills a famous perpetrator like Kenny had. Needless to say, his friends had slept with their eyes open and doors locked all through the night. The morning hadn't been better as they all awoke to the smell of cigarettes being exhaled through their apartment. In a fit of rage, Levi had taken the half-used package, soaked them in his lavender scented detergent- rendering them useless, before shoving them back into Kenny's hands. "Only thing allowed to be smoked in this house is food, otherwise you clean instead." He hissed as he threw the man a vacuum and air spray.
His mood didn't get any better when he'd gotten to school that morning. Already being called in to clean after a kid who'd obtained food poisoning from eating leftover they found in the cafeteria. Levi made sure to leave a very heartwarming message to Mikasa about her friend Sasha after that, thanking her for allowing her friend to puke all over the floors of the girls bathroom. How she had managed to miss the toilet for all of her vomiting fits was beyond him.
Things only got worse as the hours passed and he found himself having to clean after a rat infestation they found behind the school's gardening club shed. They'd apparently been eating away at their harvests to the point they were the size of cats. Shadis tried to reason with Levi that they would call an exterminator later that evening, but just thinking of how many of these creatures ran across the school grounds freely made him shutter. He wouldn't give himself the time to ponder if it was mating season for them as well, and of how many little monsters could possibly be scurrying around unnoticed.
Which was why by the time evening fell and the chatter and noise from students and staff had died down, he was in no mood to deal with Hange's hurricane of a mess of a room, or her boisterous voice that rung at him as he entered the room.
"Levi, Leviiiii! Guess what, Levi!" She started, eagerly jumping and surrounding him as she waved a wad of paper in front of his face, eliciting an annoyed tch from the man as he tried pushing them away from his face. Unbothered by his rude behaviour, she continued with a giddy smile. "I was doing my usual research when I came across this paper! And my goodness the research they've been conducting is beyond amazing! I've been reading it the whole morning to the point my students had to point out to me that class started! Haha, can you imagine?!" She shrilled louder, flipping energetically through her papers once more, her eyes gleaming with excitement. And usually Levi would relish in that happy face on her face, or even take a seat so that he could listen to her explain her newfound research. But his mood was soured and the state of her room only made things worse. Not to mention the added energy and loud voice she had at the moment only added to his strained nerves.
"Not now, Hange. I'm not in the mood." He grumbled as he pushed past the bespectacled woman, ignoring her stunned look as he went to her desk and started throwing away the pile of garbage that had accumulated over it. "Eh... but you never use my name." She said with a slight laugh, taking in the man's disgruntled look as he threw a questionably piece of paper covered in some brown substance. "Come on, Levi! Just a second, I've been dying to talk to you about it!" She pushed, walking towards the man and placing the papers in his sight once more, only for him to once again swat it away, this time with slightly more force, shocking the woman.
"Fucking hell, shitty-glasses... look at this mess... Who would stand living their lives with you like this? Does it ever cross your mind to keep your area tidy instead of inconveniencing others to clean after your mess?" Levi hissed in frustration at the endless amounts of take out containers he found on her table.
Hange's smile slowly dropped at his words, the paper she had been so excited about drooping unforgotten to the side as a lump formed in her throat. Ah, there was that comment she always feared to hear directed at her. In that moment, Levi had solidified all the fears and worries she'd had about thinking of starting a relationship with anyone. Of being seen as a hassle, of being so preoccupied with her work she tuned out the world, of making the person she devoted her heart to clean after her, baby her, and for them finally having had enough of her antics and lack of self care to the point they would abandon her. Just like her dad.
Hearing those words would have hurt regardless of who uttered them to her, they were the ones that inflicted wounds into her heart since she was young after all. But it was the fact that it had been Levi, the one person she thought would be accepting of who she was, that uttered those words so carelessly towards her that made the whole ordeal much more heartbreaking.
He was, after all, the man she had started falling for.
Levi turned around, ready to yell at her to help clean when he caught the somber and shaken look on her face. "Four-eyes?" He hesitantly asked, his hands slowly dropping the items he was holding to, ready to walk towards the woman and check on her. Slowly she blinked back at him, not having registered him for the last few seconds as she battled with her inner dialogue. Eventually an automatic smile plastered its way back on her face, covering up the deep seeded sorrow her heart was pulsating through her veins. "Sorry, yeah, I'll get to it! You take this side and I'll take this one." She said in a bright tone, quickly shuffling to the other side of the room without giving him much as a look.
Levi froze in his spot, wondering what had caused the sudden change in Hange's attitude. He admittedly had been a bit rough with her just now, but they've been through worst jabs and confrontations with each other before that he didn't think his words could've hurt her to this point. And for a brief moment, his anger and tiredness from the last two days had faded and been replaced with concern towards the bespectacled woman. But his pride and his lack of experience in comforting others stopped him from reaching out, instead turning back to the cleaning work at hand. In his mind hoping he could make up for it later.
His eyes wandered over to the clock above the board and noticed the time for the first time since he'd walked in. He'd been late without realizing it, having walked in well over an hour later than he usually did. His gaze silently turned towards the usual seats the two sat in at the front of the window, noticing two cups waiting on the table. One which was still full while the other was mostly empty.
His heart wrenched in his chest. She'd been waiting for him. No wonder she'd been so excited to showcase her research to him when he walked through the doors.
The two silently cleaned up for the next half hour, the whole time Levi throwing concerned glances over towards the woman, who seemingly ignored them all as she shuffled quietly through her side of the room. Just as they were about done, a knock penetrated through the door, bringing both their attentions to the newcomer.
"Hi, I'm looking for professor Hange Zoe?" An unfamiliar tall man with curly yellow hair and a face full of beard asked as he looked at the two occupants of the room.
Hange's momentary surprise shifted to a welcoming smile. "Hi, that'd be me! I'm Hange Zoe." She said in her usual chirper voice. And anyone would have thought she was fine with the way she sounded, but Levi having gotten to know every little detail about her, could still see the residual sadness in her eyes. "To whom do I have the honour of speaking with?" She asked as she walked towards the stranger, holding out her hand in a friendly greeting.
The man seemed transfixed for a second at the bright smile the woman gave him. With the clearing of his throat and quickly fixing the glasses on his face, he returned the same smile she gave him, taking her outstretched hand in his own as he shook it firmly. "Nice to meet you, I'm Zeke- Eren's brother."

What would the vets name their boy/girl when they would have kids?
This took me far longer to write than it should have done... Apologies if it's a bit rubbish, I went for more ideas on the types of names they'd like, along with a brief suggestion for most. Would be interested to hear others take on this ^_^
Erwin would give his child a strong, Germanic name – something that would make his father proud even though he won’t say that out loud. Regardless of gender, Erwin would want his child to have a name that means something and that when said aloud elicits certain imagery. Perhaps a shorter name, but one that sounds bright and hopeful, not just strong and commanding. A few thoughts are Jürgen, Klaus, Ilse, Emma.
Levi would name his child after family, if it’s a girl they’d be named Kuchel. A boy would have the middle name Kenny, but more likely for the first name to be after a friend or one of the Scouts that died fighting beside him. Isabel and Furlan are high contenders.
Hanji – they’d probably give their kid one of the names they’d given to a titan. Or name them after a medicinal plant, a planet or star. Perhaps some names would be Yarrow, Holly, Hazel, Jupiter, Sirius or Andromeda.
Nanaba – Is fond of traditional girls names, something pretty and that reminds her of spring like Rose, Lily, Primrose, Azalea.
Mike – He’s incredibly fond of old names that remind him of folk law and ancient stories, perhaps names that are linked somehow to earth and nature. Potential names would be Rowan, Niamh, Penelope, Finn and Phoenix.
Moblit -Maybe he’d name his kid after Hanji? But probably not, I think Moblit would think about it long and hard and need a lot of input from his partner. I don’t necessarily think he has a specific idea like some of the others do, it isn’t something that’s kept him awake at night or that he’s dreamt of. But I think he’d be fond of slightly more popular names. He wouldn’t want his child or children to be bullied so would want to avoid some of the more complex names. He loves names like Jack, George, Zoe (this also reminds him of Hanji) and Sally.
Petra – Petra would love names which are a blend of traditional meets slightly more quirky or unique takes. Perhaps a double barrelled first name or giving their child several middle names so they can choose which name they want to go by. Ivy-Rose is something she loves the sound of and Archie-James.
Oluo – Definitely would want to name his child partly after himself, not necessarily Oluo junior, but I think he’d want either his name or heritage to be reflected in the name. It sounds obvious too but maybe they’d be a reference to Levi as a middle name, not that he’d want anyone apart from his partner to know this. The sentimental part of Oluo may want to include Petra’s name somewhere.
Gunther – Gunther would want to name his child or children after relatives who were very important to him, perhaps parents or grandparents. But of course, this would only be with the consent and agreement of his partner, in the end the name would be a mix of both their heritage. A few names he’d be fond of include Ulla, Stefan, Hans and Evelyn.
Eld – Possibly the least concerned about the name of their child. It’s not that they don’t care because they absolutely do and they’d love for their child to have a beautiful name, a strong name, a name they could be proud of. But also they are more concerned that their child is happy and healthy, they are simply so excited to be having a child that the name hasn’t really crossed their mind. So they’re happy to allow their partner to make the decision or come up with suggestions and ask his input.

I just rewatched "Crash Landing On You" and i couldn't help but think about an Eruri AU of it.
Levi as Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok and Erwin as Yoon Se-ri. The other roles could be Mike, Nanaba and Gelgar or Nile as the two secretaries and the one who helped searching for Erwin. Petra, Oluo, Gunther and Eld as the soldiers and Isabel and Furlan as the siblings of Levi(instead of just one older brother are two siblings who died and the watch was from Furlan) Seo Dan as Zeke and Gu Seung-jun as Marie(but maybe it's to strange for them to get together then Nile could take Zekes place and Zeke would be Cho Cheol-gang)Hanji and Moblit as the one who listened secretly and his wife. The other roles could be whatever you want as example Nifa as one of the other wifes or Carla and the kids could be Mikasa, Armin and Eren or just random selfmade Characters instead. Instead of crying so often as Se-ri does Erwin who takes that place could just get sad/depressed or lost in tought sometimes and Levi who is Ri Jeong could swear to make them more in character.
I hope it was understandable because English isn't my native language, please let me know what you think about it and if there already is such a story that i could read somewhere(if not and one of you magnificent writers writes one then thanks in advance and please let me know)

Secret Santa for @thelittlewiseowl
A cup of Latte with 100 percent Love
Levi Ackerman was the owner of the Ackerman cafe opposite to Wall Sina institute. All his customers were mostly students and professors. All familiar faces. So, Christmas was nothing notable for this grumpy anti-social clean freak. However this year, he didn't have Oluo, Petra, Eld, and Gunther to accompany him. Oluo and Petra were married and off on a holiday. Eld's brother had invited him to stay around. Gunther was to go to his girl friend's home and get introduced.
Levi sighed. It seemed he was destined to be forever alone.
It was Christmas. He had hired a college drop out Eren, and his best buddy (a nerd, what Levi suspected) Armin to help him. He also asked his cousin, Mikasa to help him as she had nowhere to go either. He was rather surprised to hear that she was rather excited to help him. Oh! He should've realized there was something up between Mikasa and Eren. But it was too late! He scrunched his nose in disgust as he saw Eren hold Mikasa's hand while talking in a corner.
'Oy brat! Get to work you two! I can still see coffee stains on table 4'
They scurried away. What's worse is no one remembers it's his birthday. Not even Mike and Nanaba. They must've forgotten, what with 3 kids to handle at home. Kids are always brats! And her.... He would rather not recall anything about her...
Levi shook his head. It's been a long time. Their relationship would've worked out if only he had been a little more temperate; if only a little more considerate. He still loves her. Last night, she had posted a picture of her returning back on her Instagram. It's a wonder she hadn't blocked him yet. He had pushed her away. He had done terrible stuff. He should've supported her dreams. She was always meant to fly. He was only holding her back.
He sighed again.
It's a history, and she is not coming back anymore.
He sat with a fresh tea cup, well one hour before dawn. As everyone busily cleaned the room for the day, he sat there reminiscing her.
He was sitting right where he was, when she came in. She had a commanding face that begged for attention. Someone you cant ignore. Her brunette hair tied high up. He was listening to Mike and Nanaba bicker, Erwin was still alive then. He was the one who introduced her to him.
'Hey Hanji! You here for the first time?'
She turned to look at him and beamed. Oh! How much he wanted her to make her smile at him like that!
'Yap! Moblit said he brought all my coffee from here. So thought about visiting this place today.'
She strolled towards the counter where they all were sitted.
'And where is Moblit?'
'On a date with Nifa' she said with a very mischievous smile. Well. Present day Moblit was married to Nifa, till Levi remembers. 'Wasn't he your boyfriend, Hanji?' Nanaba piped in. 'Who gave you such ideas, Nana? I am forever single.' Hanji laughed.
'Meet Levi here. He is my other forever single friend. The owner of the shop.' Erwin gestured towards Levi. To be honest, He just stared at Hanji, when she looked at him. He was lost. Lost in those brown eyes. Lost in the smile. Lost in her everything. Time seemed frozen.
'Hey Levi! It's not good to stare at someone you know.' Hanji laughed. He was broken out of the trance, and realized.... she was dirty. He couldn't believe he had overlooked the coffee stains, the mud stains, and pen mark, in the lab coat she wore (lab coat? Must be Erwin's department scientist) and the dirt in her trousers, her crumpled shirt.
'You are dirty. Take a bath'
Hanji just stared. Everyone did. If Levi didn't like someone he just stared at them and didn't speak. If he liked someone he learnt to keep shut about stuff he didn't like. But Levi being so blunt in first meet, was... something to behold.
That was his first meet.
Now looking back at the last...
The sun was high in their shared apartment. 'Levi please. I wanna go. It's the best chance in my life. I cannot leave my project right here. Not after I have worked so much.'
'Hanji its a damn war! You may get killed!'
'Erwin is going too!'
'I dont care!'
'Hanji dont go, please.'
'I can t deny the government! I need to be in their project. Erwin's whole team is in.'
'Hanji if you don't back off, we are breaking up.'
Hanji cooled down a bit. She looked hurt. So very hurt. 'Is it the other option? I go and we break up, I don't, we stay put?'
Levi took a step back. He was angry. He desperately wanted to be with her. He didn't want to see her die. He had read in the newspaper. All the people who died. She was a scientist, yes. But it didn't stop her chances to... he couldn't bring those words.
'Yes' He hoped she valued their relationship over her science. He knew. But he knew wrong.
'Okay then.' She said calmly and put the ring off from her finger. 'I will pay this month's bill as it was supposed to be. I am booking tickets.' And she left the living room in a flurry, leaving a broken and bewildered Levi looking right at the spot she was standing on. He didn't want this. It was his last straw to protect her. It was the last method. And... no... he didn't. He didn't...
She was gone the next day. The bill in an envelope. No sign she ever lived in this apartment. No sign that Hanji ever existed. Phone number not working. Instagram didn't exist then. She was off grid. Yes. She was in a top secret mission. She had to he off grid. Both Erwin and Hanji. One month later, North headquarters were ransacked. Scientist Erwin Smith was reported dead. Levi was so broke. He couldn't open his cafe anymore. He just sat in his apartment and cried. The envelope she left was also on its place. He would never sell away something that was hers. It still sits in his drawer. The ring still sits in the bedside table.
He sighed again and looked at the watch. It was 7 am. It's time to open the cafe. 'Oy brats! Did you finish yet?' He tied a handkerchief around his mouth and started to help them, seeing it was going nowhere. The shop opened, people got in looking all merry. It only broke his heart.
Time flew past boringly. People came and went. Ordered their drinks, and left with them, sat with their lovers, their families.
It was a heck of a day. Christmas was always a heck of a day.
As Levi was cleaning the counter for the nth time, trying not to mutter 'shitty day' in a row for nth time, the door opened with a chime. He didn't know why he felt an urge to look up. Some aura had got in in him. It was unusual for him to bother looking at customers, since Eren, Mikasa, and Armin were doing all the work other than cleaning. He looked up, and his jaws dropped. Time stopped. It was as if he held the entire world that moment.
Those eyes. Those shitty eyes. Four eyes. The spark behind te glasses. The commanding lines of the face that demanded his attention, that spoke authority. The brunette mess of hair tied in a ponytail. The smudged, crumpled shirt and trouser. The only thing missing was the white lab coat. Hanji. Zoe Hanji.
She moved closer to him, hesitantly. He couldn't comprehend what was happening. Had he gone crazy? Had his mind already taken all the shit in life? What was he doing? He just stopped and stared.
'Hey Levi! It's not good to stare at someone you know' she smiled softly. All the brazen starkness in her angular face gone. The quirks long faded away. Her face was soft, different. She radiated a soft aura. She was different. She wasn't the ambitious Hanji, he knew. She was someone else. Someone softer, yet someone home.
Hanji held his hand. Suddenly Levi was conscious that Eren, Mikasa and Armin were staring at them. At him. He pulled his hand away.
'What would you order, ma'am?'
Hanji laughed. 'A latte with 100 percent forgiveness. Can you give me that, Mr. Ackerman? I will pay with 100 percent repentance.'
Sheesh. Those brats were all googly eyed. 'I will serve you a latte, and maybe talk about you specific request a bit later?' Hanji laughed again. That laugh. The one he had always yearned to hear. He smiled. He actually did. After all those years.
'You three get to work! I am making the latte for Dr. Hanji'
'Hoy!'
'Why did you come back?' He asked. Sitting down on the chair opposite to her, with a latte and a cup of tea. 'I realized I was wrong. I should've stayed. I should've understood that you meant good. I wanted to come back after the damn war ended. But I was burdened with more work. I had to sort out a lot of stuff. Erwin's stuff. I understood your point, Levi. When Erwin died... it was so sudden... I understood it. I had talked to him an hour before he died. It was so normal. I-'
She broke off crying.
'I am sorry too, Hanji.' He held her shaking hands. 'When you left, I went to my mother. She was very angry with me. She pointed out my mistake. Her last wish was that I sort out our matter. But I never did that. I could'nt bring myself to connect to you. I was afraid-'
'I am so sorry about your mother, Levi. We both were quite uncompromising, you know. It brought the end of our relationship.' Hanji whispered. A moment of silence passed.
'Anyway' restored to her jolly mood, 'I brought you presents!'
Levi could feel his ears go red, as he again caught Eren and Mikasa staring at them. He glared at them.
'Those brats!'
'Ugh. Let them be. They are hormone inflicted teenagers! Will be okay in a few years!'
'Whatever!'
Hanji pulled out a box of tea set from her huge handbag. This is your christmas present.
'Jeez, thanks.' Oh fuck! He hadn't prepared any gifts for her.
'And this is your birthday present. Happy birthday, Levi.' She looked at him sheepishly as she passed him a packet. He opened it to find a bunch of photos. It wasn't him and Hanji on it only. One had his mother, Hanji, and him. One had Kenny and him. One had Erwin, Hanji, Him, Nanaba, Mike and Moblit. A picnic photo. They brought tears to his eyes.
How all of them had moved on. Since the war. Since the college days. Since everything. And it was only him. Still living in the past.
She gently put her hand on his shoulder. 'Let's renew something broken today, Levi. I know its too much to ask for but, will you-'
'I have only one present for you.' He pushed the Latte to her. 'I know you asked for latte with 100 per cent forgiveness, but if I gave you latte with 100 percent love, just for free, will you accept it?'
'My grumpy, little neat freak!'
This Christmas, almost 10 years since the last he enjoyed, was a cup of latte with 100 percent love.

The reaction of AOT characters to your relationship with Levi....
1. Erwin
I knew opposite attraction is always the strongest. Since y/n is sweet, friendly, funny and a wholesome person who can heal anyone with her words.... I thought maybe she'll be able to heal Levi's wounded mind too? After all she's a doctor... So I placed her in Levi's squad and ordered him to protect her. I took a bet and it seems like I have won again. I'm happy for both of them.... At least Levi isn't using too much slang or curse words like before. (Chuckle)
2. Hange
Y/n is a clumsy girl... But Levi is an organised one.... I love it that Levi's taking a good care of my bestie. And that y/n is healing both Levi's physical and mental wounds too! I didn't find it shocking at all.... I mean my bestie can make any guy fall in love with her sweet personality. Anyway.... (Psycho smile) I'm just curious about how Levi is in bed.....
3. Mike
Oh that short doctor and Levi? I don't know what to say..... I guess it's their own business that they're in a relationship.... And it wasn't shocking at all.... I've noticed Levi's protective and loving glance towards y/n sometimes..... Well I'm happy for them.... Also... (Chuckle) They smell nice together.
4. Oulo
Damn.... I was so curious one night to check if they really have sex together or not... Guess what? I pressed my ear into the captain's bedroom to hear their moaning sounds... But instead of that I heard the captain's voice telling me to enter his room. I was fucking scared.... As soon as I enter the room and look at him.... I swear I was about to piss myself.... I've never seen heichou glaring that dangerously to anyone or anything for fucks sake! He's voice was calm but there was a dangerous edge in it when he told me to mind my own business. And when I was returning to my room..... I found y/n sensei's door locked.... She was probably sleeping peacefully in her room.... While I pissed myself in my pants... Damn!
5. Gunther
I'm glad they're together.... It was obvious kind of... The captain was always so protective and kind towards y/n.... And y/n Sensei is a the sweetest doctor I've ever seen... Ngl but I've shared some of my miseries with her and she consoled me in the best way possible..... She probably did the same with Levi heichou too.... I can understand why heichou loves her so much.
6. Eld
I'm happy for them... I mean the captain seems more like a human when she's with him. And she always cheers us all up with her wholesome and sweet and energetic mental energy. She's a peace in the Levi's squad... Maybe in the whole scouts.... I'm glad heichou had finally find peace in her and that they're together now.
7. Petra
Y/n Sensei in the best person for heichou.... I'm glad for them. Y/n Sensei even knew that I had a crush on him.... And that I sometimes felt sad that he loves Sensei, not me.... But she consoled me, healed me telling maybe someone better is waiting for me? (Chuckle) She's really a sweet person.... No wonder why heichou is so protective of her.... I even noticed heichou smiling softly at her when she's not noticing.... Or always the peace in his face when she's with him.... She even cured his insomnia.... I'm so happy for heichou.... I'm so glad that he's happy.
8. Eren
Well... (nervous smile) What should I say? I'm happy for them? I mean I don't wanna say anything inappropriate and get kicked by heichou again.... But I'm glad they're in a relationship.... Sometimes we are saved from heichou's wrath for y/n Sensei... Maybe that's a good thing....
9. Mikasa
They deserves each other..... (Calm face)
10. Armin
Yeah I'm happy for them.... But sometimes it feels so weird when captain asks me with his jealous tone why she's so happy when she's bragging about some shitty books with me.... He even gives me some glares sometimes which makes me scared. (nervous chuckle) Maybe he's a bit jealous that y/n Sensei spends a lot of time with me about talking about her favourite books... It's also funny when captain sometimes asks for my suggestions on romantic books.... He's so sweet and even possessive when it comes to y/n Sensei.... I'm glad that they're together.... They complete each other.
11. Jean
Damn.... Why do sweet girls always have to be taken by dangerous scary boyfriends? No, I'm not telling I wanted a chance with Y/n Sensei... She's a lot older than me... But still I don't like the glance heichou gives me when she's joking with me and laughing.... Like he doesn't want to see her laughing with anyone else other than him. (Rolling his eyes) I mean man come on.... I'm not stealing your girl!
12. Sasha
(Cheeky smile) I'm so glaaaaaaad! After all y/n Sensei gives me some opportunity to steal food while keeping the captain busy... I'm so glad they're together really.
13. Connie
I don't know what to say.... They acts like the same even when they're in a relationship.... I never even saw them kissing even once... I mean aren't the couples supposed to kiss and touch each other?
14. Historia
(Smiling happily) I'm so happy they're together.... They seems so happy and cute.... I hope everyone will find happiness like them.... They complete each other..... So cute...
15. Ymir
I wonder when it is the time they fuck each other? I've tried to find out a lot of times but it's a loss project.... I've never even seen them kissing each other.... How that shortie can be so secretive? Also I wonder if he's afraid that he might hurt y/n Sensei while fucking her? I mean maybe yeah.... She's a soft person after all.
16. Reiner
(Mumbling) Well..... If she's gonna make Levi heichou weak, it's gonna be a plus point to us. (Jerking awake) Oh yeah yeah... I'm so happy for them... She's cute and sweet, captain's hot and strong... They're perfect....
17. Annie
Do I look like I give a fuck?
A.N - I used the word Sensei here for y/n because the Japanese people address the doctors as Sensei. Also heichou means captain which I have used for Levi just like Isamaya.
Y/n is a doctor working under the survey corps.... And since I think this role is more suitable for the main female lead.... So I'll always be making her a doctor.... But If you guys request me to change her.... I'll do that too.
Also English is not my first language.... So I may have made some mistakes... Please be kind and let me know if I'm wrong through the comments.... Also since it's my first time writing something.... I guess I haven't succeeded in making it a good one but I tried.... Also I tried to maintain the character's personality too.... I would love to hear your opinions on them if you think I'm making some mistakes in maintaining their personalities.... Please let me know.... My inbox is always open for you all 🩷
Finally.... Have a nice day ya all!

Petra muddles up love confession letters to her former crushes with the ones to each member of her family, and in a hurry, she ends up sending the love letters. She's terrified when she finds out and when Captain Levi approaches her with a letter in his hand as she sees the Commander Erwin who also got one coming toward her, she doesn't know anymore what she's doing and kisses Levi in front of Erwin. (Established Rivetra?)
this is so much crack and insanity. I love to all the boys I've loved before. fun fact, I listened to this soundtrack on repeat when I started grad school. something about the order of the songs inspired confidence 🥰
Rating: T
Pairings: Erwin x Petra, Erwin x Mike, Petra x Levi
Word count: 770
Letter writing was one of Petra’s passions in life. Family, brother, sister, cousin—Petra wrote them at least once a week to keep them all up to date on her life. The other reason, the one she kept close to her heart, was when she inevitably met her untimely death, her family would have several letters to remember her by.
She sent her letters off every Saturday morning, postmarked by Monday, and she’s kept this routine since she was a cadet. The stationary changed based on the season, keeping her letter paper simple, but the envelopes were often in bright and overly ornate colorful paper. It was autumn, which meant orange and yellow envelopes made up her writing desk to complement the hues of the trees.
It surprised her when she noticed Levi carrying an identical envelope as he swiftly approached her, his mouth pressed into a taut line. It was unlike him to be late for training, but maybe he received paperwork he needed to attend to. Dressed in identical white cotton shirts, with Petra wearing green shorts that cut off right below her ass, and Levi’s an inch above his knees, she was just warming up for a run as she leaned to her left for a stretch.
“Captain!” she greeted cheerfully, but her eyes zeroed in on the letter in his hands. In neat, cursive handwriting, unmistakeably hers, the front of the letter read: Captain Levi. A heart was drawn to the side, followed by assorted patterns and doodles, and Petra was sure this had to be a nightmare. That was the only explanation as to why Levi held her love letter—a letter that was never supposed to reach his hands.
In addition to writing letters to her family and friends, Petra found it cathartic to write when she felt overcome with love. In a position like hers, romance was off the table, and like most young women, she flitted from crush to crush. It started with Levi—back when she was young and still a cadet, and she squashed those feelings the moment she joined his squad. A few other men in between, and she processed them the same way she always did, with writing.
Currently, she was harboring a crush on their effervescent commander, Erwin Smith. Tall, blond, handsome, she always found him attractive. It was just a harmless crush, enjoying the giddy feeling during meetings, and how he complimented her work. Their friendship over books and writing instruments helped, but she was always able to keep her feelings at bay. It wasn’t until he started dating Mike that things changed. Jealousy reared its ugly head.
Mike was a close friend to everyone on the squad, and seeing Erwin draping his arm over his shoulder ignited a deep melancholy inside Petra. She wanted a partnership, but she was dedicated to the Scouts, to Levi, and anything related to dating would just get in the way.
So, as she did when she was ready to put those feelings aside, she wrote Erwin a letter last week. Among her writing, she reflected on her past loves, noting with grim optimism that this too, shall pass.
“Oi, Ral. We need to talk.”
Eld, Gunther, and Oluo were already running around the track, and Petra nervously wondered if she could get away with running away from Levi. He’d catch up, the damn bastard was fast and never broke a sweat.
But it didn’t mean she shouldn’t try.
She took off, sprinting like an Abnormal chased her, but it took five seconds for Levi to catch up.
“OI!” he shouted, tugging at her shirt. “Is that how you treat your commanding officer?!”
Petra stopped, face flushed, her gaze not tearing from the letter in Levi’s hand.
“Look, Ral, I don’t know what’s gotten into you, or if this is some dare from Eld, but this type of language is strictly unprofessional. I admire you as a colleague—“
Levi’s words grew muddled like she was underwater. In the distance, just a few feet away, hand in hand, were Erwin and Mike, making their way towards the track. In Erwin’s other hand?
Her letter.
“Fuck!” she cried, then looked side to side. In a moment of insanity, she pulled Levi to her, but she slipped, crashing them to the ground as she pressed her lips to his. Levi yelped in his throat, but she chased it down, praying to the goddesses that Erwin saw them. Not now. She couldn’t lose her friends, even if she just ruined her relationship with her boss.
The angry expression on Levi’s face told her otherwise.

Hi Jelly!! I love your works, and wanted to ask if you could a scenario where Levi admires the reader but decides to reject them because he knows he's off on a dangerous expedition with Squad Levi and he doesn't want to put them at risk. But when he comes back, he gets jealous seeing them hanging out with someone else and ignoring his existence, and finally confesses?
Adorable <3 I like this. Nothing a little jealousy to give Levi that kick up the arse to say "I love you!" I will try my best with this one.
Mine.
Pairing: Levi x reader
Genre and tags: falling in love, hidden feelings, confessions, jealousy, cannon AU, Levi adores you, happy ending.
Concept: Levi has slowly fallen for you since you joined the scouts at the same time Petra, Oluo, Eld and Gunther did. He wanted you in his squad, but Mike snatched you up before he could due to your amazing tracking skills. Levi loved you from a distance but never acted on it, even when he overhears you saying you have a crush on him, he doesn't. When the scouts get excited for Valentine's Day, he thinks about confessing but he has to go on a dangerous expedition with his squad taking the lead. He decides not to confess because he knows you'd try to go with him to keep him safe. When he returns with his group, he sees you and Mike getting very close as you do the finishing touches for the party together. Levi decides enough is enough and acts.
"So..." The scout moved closer to you as Levi hid behind a door. "It's Valentine's day in a few days."
You reached up and pinned a heart on the wall. "Congratulations, you know your days!"
Levi smirked a little at your tone and words. He liked how witty, quick and spicy you could be, at the same time you were a kind sweetheart who would be a mum to anyone who needed you. You were a gem in a rough batch of people. After all the horrors you've seen, you were still so wonderful. You'd survived so many suicide missions because of your amazing tracking and hunting skills. You were quick, quiet and like an assassin.
Your friend groaned your name. "Stop messing with me!"
You grabbed a decoration from them. "Then get to the point."
"Fine...mum."
You looked down at them from your stool. "If you think that's an insult, then you're wrong. I like being a mum to people." You sighed. "So, what are you after?"
They helped you down from the stool, then waited for you to move it to the other side of Levi's office door. "Are you going to make someone a gift, or give a card, or confess, or ask them to the party?"
You glanced at Levi's door and blushed a little, then you carried on putting up decorations. "I highly doubt I'll get a yes from them. I mean, I could go out and get them a gift. I know the perfect present for him."
They gasped. "Him? Who is him?"
You blushed and climbed down. "I." You glanced at Levi's door, then at your friend. "I can't say right now."
They inhaled. "You have a crush on Captain Levi!?"
You covered their mouth with your hands. "Quiet! What if he's in there?"
They pulled free of your hands. "Why haven't you made a move?"
You sighed and picked up your stool. "Have you seen me? The Captain wouldn't want someone like me."
"Wait, so you've given up before even trying?"
You sighed. "Kind of. I still might get him something."
They groaned. "Boring. So, you're not going to ask anyone to the party?"
You hummed in thought. "I don't think so, but I'm open to anyone asking me."
Levi wanted to hear more, but you and your friend had walked down the hall out of his hearing range. He left his office, then looked at the hearts around it. He wanted to tell you how he felt about you. He wanted to tell you that you were beautiful in his eyes. He was madly in love with you. He felt this urge in him to embrace you in his arms, but he didn't because he needed to head out on a mission that was dangerous for him, his squad and Hange's that were going with.
He made his way to the gear room with you on his mind none stop. He got to his horse, then looked to the building to see Erwin and his team, along with Mike with his were seeing them off. Levi searched the crowd for you, but couldn't see you anywhere. He wanted you to see him off, but he couldn't find you. Levi felt a tap on his shoulder making him jump. He turned around quickly making you jump.
You placed your hand on your chest and laughed. "Wow, double jump, huh?"
Levi gulped hard and blushed a little. "Tch, it's because you're so damn quiet."
You hummed a laugh. "I am a little."
He watched you pet his horse, then nuzzle against them. "What do you want?"
You blushed and pet his horse. "I wanted to see you off. I noticed that no one seems to say goodbye to you, so I thought I would." You looked to Levi and gave him a smile that always made him melt in pure happiness. "Good luck, Levi. I know you don't need it, but I do wish you luck. Come back safe."
He clenched his jaw as he fought his urges, then climbed onto his horse to distract himself. "Tch, enjoy being lazy here and doing nothing."
You stepped back from Levi and sighed. "Goodbye Captain."
Levi stared at your sad smile and felt like you'd given up on him at that moment. Levi tapped his heels and rode off with his squad. He carried out the dangerous mission and returned back, but you weren't part of the welcoming party. He was tired mentally and physically. He felt like he could just collapse. He wanted to see you. He wanted to hear you laugh. He wanted to see your smile. He wanted to be soothed by your voice.
He took his horse to the stables, then made his into the base. He saw there were more decorations around the place and people were running around happy. He let out a long sigh, then went to his office and peeled off his gear. He groaned when the straps of his gear came undone, then thumb on the floor when he let them fall off him. He had a quick shower, changed his things and went to his desk to see a present.
Levi sat at his desk, then opened it to reveal a custom made tea set and tea. He smiled at how beautiful and nice they were. He noticed a little card involved with the gift. "Happy Valentine's Day Levi." He felt his heart throb at reading your name and a little heart with it. "Tch, damn brat." He got up, then walked down the hall trying to look for you. He eventually ended up at the mess hall to see you joking and laughing with Mike. "Tch, the fuck? I was gone for a few days."
You playfully shoved Mike back. "You're an ass."
Mike glanced over at Levi to see him seething in anger. "Hey, we should go outside for some training."
You pouted at him. "But it's the holidays."
He picked you up and put you over his shoulder making you laugh hard. "Training never stops."
Levi watched you go past and caught your eye. He said your name, but you didn't acknowledge Levi and instead messed about with Mike. "Tch, damn brat. What the fuck happened?"
Levi had followed you around and Mike was practically glued to your side. He'd watch the two of you train, have meals together and finish up setting things up for the party. Levi did get a chance to talk to you for the whole day and it was pissing him off. He wanted you all to himself. He didn't care about the dangerous missions putting his life at risk and a possible chance of leaving you alone. He wanted you.
Levi wore his best suit for the party, then stormed into the mess hall turned into the party. He looked around and found you wearing such a beautiful outfit that complimented you so well. He hurried over to you as you spoke to Mike and Hange. He grabbed your hand, then dragged you away and out of the party away from everyone. He ignored your shouts and pleads to slow down. He kept pulling you along to outside.
You panted and stumbled. "Levi! Levi! Levi, please slow down!"
Levi took you all the way to the treeline by the lake. He stopped, then let you go. He clenched his fists tightly. "You know, you really piss me off."
You caught your breath and frowned. "I don't follow."
"You see me off. You get me a present and then you...you..." He turned to you. "You didn't welcome back!"
You blushed a little. "Oh, well because I didn't think you liked me around me anymore. I thought I was a nuisance to you. So, I left the gift with you and kept my distance."
"I don't want you to keep your distance from me."
You frowned. "You don't? Then, what do you want? Can you just tell me so I can understand where I stand?"
Levi grabbed you and pressed you against a tree as his lips were on yours. He held your waist, then squeezed you making you gasp. Levi took the opportunity to test if you wanted him more by edging his tongue in a little. You woke up from your daze, then clung to Levi. You tangled your fingers in his hair and moved your tongue with his. You explored each other as bodies became heated and curious hands travelled.
Levi pulled from your lips when he heard people giggling and walking closer. "Tch, shit." He pulled you into the treeline where it was dark and leaned against a tree as he held you against him. He leaned out to see some of the scouts going on dates. He whispered to you. "Don't move and stay quiet."
You pouted and whispered back. "Why? Don't you want to be seen with me?"
"I do want people to know you are mine, but I haven't told you everything yet about how I feel about you." He sighed. "If they find out we're together, then they won't leave us alone and I won't get my chance to tell you I love you."
You smiled and felt your heart scream in happiness. You wanted Levi so badly for so long and to know he had always loved you made everything better. You undid his cravat then put it on yourself. You hummed, then slowly undid his top buttons.
Levi blushed hard. "Tch, oi? What are you doing?"
You kissed his neck and sighed. "Marking my territory." You kissed down slowly. "Be a good boy and stay quiet."
You nipped the crook of his neck and smiled when he inhaled sharply, then shivered. You bit down a little and sucked at his neck. You ran your hand up his wonderful warm body to the other side of his neck and cupped it. You inhaled deeply and enjoyed his tea and lemon-scented body with a hint of mint. You could feel that his pulse was racing under your touch and lips.
You pulled back and lightly kissed his neck, then you noticed his blush was around his ears and cheeks. You smiled, then whispered in his ear. "I love you too."
Levi turned his head and locked eyes with you in the dark. "I." He gulped. "I said I loved you. I had a whole speech planned and everything and I let it slip while hiding."
You smiled at him. "You did. So?"
He pulled you close and said your name with the sweetest smile. "I love you more than words can describe." He kissed you lightly and smiled. "I love the present you got me. I'll have to get you something in return." He looked to your neck. "But first, my brat, I have to get you back for being a naughty girl." He yanked his cravat off you, then attacked your neck. "Be a good girl for me and moan."
You clung to Levi and tangled your fingers in his hair. You gasped and moaned as he bit down, then ran his tongue over your skin to soothe his actions. "Le-Levi."
Levi pulled back, then kissed you. "Good girl." He put his cravat back on and fixed his buttons. "I expect you to share my bed with me from now on. I'm not letting you leave my sight." He flicked his cravat, then gazed at you. "You're mine now, brat."
You puffed bright red and felt a fire shoot through you. You nodded and squeaked a little. "Y-Yes Levi."
He reached out for you. "Hand." He waited for you to take it, then he walked with you. "We're going on a night walk. It's our first date." He looked at you and smiled softly making you smile back. "You're so beautiful."

Brown Boots month by month snippets!
I've decided to try and post a snippet from my Levi Squad/Rivetra fic Brown Boots each month this year (memory permitting)! The fic itself is sort of largely broken down into months, so I thought it'd be fun to post some of my fav lil moments from it as the year goes along 😇
It's largely OG levi squad based, with some rivetra moments in there as well if thats ur vibe ✨
A wee note! When a dash appears like so:
-
This denotes a change of POV 🌚 🌝
Read January's snippet (in which the squad end up at a farm) below the line break!
January
How embarrassing. Didn’t farms have trained dogs to do this?
It had been a solid twenty minutes and Petra was completely red in the face. She, along with the veterans and the farmer were desperately trying to herd the escaped sheep into an outdoor pen, but their attempts were proving fruitless: the sheep were darting between them and splitting up at every given opportunity.
“Blaargh!”
Ah, the distant sound of Oruo’s bitten tongue. She sighed.
A sheep bleated at Nifa, who shouted back at it almost hysterically; “They’re laughing at us!”
Petra was certain that the scouts could never come back here again, this little mishap surely meant a lifetime ban.
“Where’s the ass?” Eld shouted over.
Petra pointed in Oruo’s direction and Eld howled with laugher, “My bad - I meant, where’s the donkey?”
She shook her head. Only the goddesses knew where that donkey had gotten to at this point.
A sheep darted passed her, chased by an alarmed Moblit, who gave up running and stopped next to her, breathless;
“It’s funny,” He muttered, “We humans think we’re so smart, but all us trained soldiers in peak physical condition can’t even herd twenty sheep.”
Petra laughed awkwardly, wiping her brow, “Yeah. It feels wrong to say this but, killing titans might be easier.”
“AHHH!” Gunther bellowed a war cry and tackled a sheep as it tried to run past him, but ended up clutching onto its wool, panicked, as it dragged him along the grass.
“Let go!” She cried out, “Gunther - let go!”
—
Surely it’d been long enough now. The intermittent shrieking had significantly died down, which was a good sign. Levi took a slow breath, then traipsed outside, hands in pockets.
He was just in time to catch Eld (who was now somehow wearing the ‘birthday boy’ sash) ride in on a horse and catch the rogue, roaming donkey with a lasso, to ecstatic cheers and claps from the surrounding veterans. Levi almost rolled his eyes at the bombastic display and briefly considered insulting the man’s shitty beard to take him down a peg or two.
The sheep were huddled in a pen behind two small barking dogs, Lina was shouting expletives at Oruo, and Mike and Nanaba were trying to placate the irate farmer off to one side.
He exhaled wearily. He knew he shouldn’t have come, but the excursion had piqued his interest…
That was an ‘acceptable’ way of putting it.
It wasn’t that he’d simply noticed Petra’s ankle length moss-green skirt under her long military jacket of the same colour, and realised that (bar the heavy duty farm-appropriate walking boots) the squad were all going to town in their Sunday best. It couldn’t simply have been that he’d never seen her in a dress before, and a curious part of him wanted to know what she looked like in one - enough to drag him all the way out to a damn farm - even though he knew it was a selfish want, and would ultimately be detrimental to his attempts to suppress his inappropriate feelings towards her.
…
Anyway, this was unquestionably a more interesting day out than what he’d had planned, which was…surveying the perimeter of the grounds…again.
Since the return from the winter break Petra was bright, warm and gentle as she had ever been; she continued to check up on him, making sure that he was properly eating and resting - but - she’d stopped assisting him in the evenings with his paperwork. That was an interesting development that had, as with many other things, gone unspoken between them. Now she bothered him as minimally as she could whilst still remaining attentive, and she was strictly professional in their every interaction. The casual sparkle he'd often caught in her eyes was gone, replaced with the sharp focus of the battlefield, or the politeness of an arms-distance.
He should have been thrilled, it was, after all, what he wanted. Broadly speaking he was thrilled with it. Her misguided affection for him had appeared to vanish, and he found he could believe that her diligence sprouted from her trustworthy, hard-working temperament, and not because she wanted to impress him for any unprofessional reason. She was smart, and so it hadn’t taken her long to realise the folly of her ways - to leave her childish fantasy behind her like some shattered snow-globe.
As for him…
It was only natural that the tiny, insane part of him that felt for her would protest the change. Having no prior experience with ‘matters of the heart’ as Erwin might say, it was to be expected that on occasion, he might slip-up and indulge his insanity…which was how he’d ended up at a petting zoo on his one day off this week.
He bit back a sigh, and chose to instead fill his lungs with the clean, fresh winter air.

Bad Timing (Levi x reader) Part 4
Summary: How do you tell your best friends that you’re falling for your big brother’s best friend?
Warnings: Kissing, and some light petting, underage drinking?
Word Count: 5.7K
Levi wasn't surprised to see that Erwin and Hange did not in fact make an appearance at Mike's party. The party turned out to be much bigger than he anticipated, even freshman showed up. Petra was social, dragging him with her as she bounced around the house, easily conversing with the other party goers. Levi licked his lips as he brought his red solo cup back up to his mouth for another sip. In that moment that dipshit Eren Jaeger brushed past him, jostling him and causing a few drops of his drink to land on his stark white hoodie. His grey eyes locked on the brunette who held his hands up as he apologized profusely. The red kool aid that he had used to mix in his drink already staining.
Petra remained deathly still, as did Gunther as they waited for his reaction. Levi scoffed, pushing past Eren and stalked towards the front door, meaning to go remove the stain with his tide pen he kept in his car. Eren sighed with relief as he watched the raven haired male retreat. Petra groaned, slapping Eren's shoulder before following Levi out of the house. She found him standing by his car, the trunk popped as he rummaged through his bag of miscellaneous items that he kept in case of emergencies.
Petra kept her distance as she watched him pull the soiled sweat shirt over his head, the t-shirt he wore underneath riding up as well, revealing his creamy abdomen. The moon was bright above, casting ominous shadows across Mike's wooded yard. Petra shifted uncomfortably as she watched Levi dab at the red stain, his eyebrows pinched together in concentration. She wasn't sure what was wrong with Levi but he was more tense than usual. She figured that he wasn't in the mood for a party, but then again when was he not? Technically the two weren't exclusive, although that was Petra's end game. He sighed in frustration, setting the sweat shirt down in his trunk and throwing the pen in carelessly.
"Forget it. I'm going to Erwin's to properly remove this stain." he said as he shut the trunk. Petra blinked, wandering if that meant he wanted her to accompany him to the Smith residence.
"Oh...I'll go with you!" she said enthusiastically, turning to walk around the car to the passenger side. Levi shook his head and waved her off.
"Nah, don't worry about it. I'll just catch up with you tomorrow." he said as he climbed into the drivers seat and started the car. Petra felt the brief sting of rejection as she watched him pull out of the drive way. But then she remembered his promise to speak with her the next day and decided that this would be good enough for now. A small victory in this long fight for Levi's attention and affections.
__
Levi drove slowly down the empty county road. This was a bad idea and he knew it, Erwin was mad at him, he was probably the last person he wanted to see. But still Levi turned into the long winding drive, sure to shut his head lights off. The house sat on a slight hill, the wrap around porch had been decorated with strings of bat lights, and various pumpkins and gourds. The olive green paint job always looked best in the fall with the colorful leaves of the forrest surrounding the house. He pulled into his usual spot under the basketball hoop, he shut off the engine and leaned onto the center counsel to peek into the large windows.
Erwin's minivan was absent, as was Hange's CRV. The house was uncharacteristically dark, usually you would be in the kitchen cooking, or maybe seated in the living room with Hange working on homework. Erwin would usually spend his time in the dining room away from Hange's ranting while he tried to work. Levi climbed out of his seat and popped the trunk, pulling his sweatshirt from the trunk. He locked his car, pausing to flip through his key ring for the spare house key that Erwin had given to him quite some time ago. He hesitated before inserting the key into the lock. He turned it slowly, relieved to hear the lock click, he turned the knob and stepped cautiously into the dark entry way. He kicked off his shoes and frowned at the lack of shoes on the mat. He did recognize your filthy air force 1s but he didn't see Erwin's massive nikes or Hange's ancient chocos.
He continued on into the kitchen, setting his keys down on the counter with a heavy sigh of defeat. He then refocused on the task at hand, setting off down the dark hall to the laundry room. He switched the light on and set to work on scrubbing the stain out. Levi sighed with relief as he studied his hard work. Just as he hung the sweat shirt up to dry he heard a creak from upstairs. He shut the door to the laundry room and slowly made his way down the dark hall. He rounded the corner, his gunmetal eyes widening a fraction when he met your own (e/c) eyes. He stopped before he could bump into you, your hands flew up and clutched at the small towel that was wrapped around you, your damp hair gathered in another towel. You screamed, staggering backwards, your back hitting the wall and the towel wrapped around your head falling off as you clutched at your chest.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" You managed to gasp out as you regulated your racing heart. Levi whipped his head to the side, favoring to look into the dark hall way then acknowledge the lack of clothing you wore. You sighed as you relaxed, turning to walk around Levi and down the hall to the laundry room. Levi turned his head sharply to look the opposite direction once again, a small dusting of pink covered his cheeks. He had never seen you so well... naked. He flinched when you brushed past him again, only this time you were wearing one of Erwin's hoodies, your fists balled up at the bottom to add length to the long sweat shirt.
"Don't look you perv!" you yelped, your face redder than a tomato as you shuffled past him. Levi brought his hand up and over his eyes, fighting a smirk.
"Don't flatter yourself, not like you've got much to look at." he scoffed, pleased to hear you gasp at the jab.
"What are you even doing here?" you sputtered, leaning against the wall and tugging the front of the sweatshirt down over the tops of your thighs.
"I had to remove a stain on my sweat shirt. Stupid Jeager kid spilled my drink." he grunted, groping blindly for the edge of the counter to lean against. You smiled at the sight, his hand finally landing on the counter, he pulled himself closer and leaned forward on his elbows.
"Why'd you come here? Why not just ask Mike to use his shit?" you asked relaxing a bit without his intense gaze on your vulnerable self.
"Have you smelled the guy? I doubt he knows where the detergent is kept in his house." Levi scoffed as he made himself comfortable, using his foot to pull a stool out to sit on.
"H-Have you eaten anything?" you asked after a moment.
"No, why does it matter?" he asked, his brows furrowing as he listened to you shift against the wall. You turned back down the hall way and dug around in the hamper, finally finding a pair of old boxers to tug on. You immediately felt better now that you were at least half way dressed.
"You want anything? I have leftovers." you offered, he felt your presence behind him as you walked to the fridge.
"Uh..." you were weird like that, always so tolerable of his teasing. You were beginning to take on more of Erwin's characteristics, although you weren't as much of a push over as he was just yet.
"Fine, I could eat." he said, spreading his fingers to see you pawing through the fridge, your back to him. He frowned at the sight of the forest green boxers that hung loosely off your hips. Not just any boxers, his boxers. The ones that he kept here along with a few other items of clothing since he basically lived here anyway. He quickly clenched his fingers together again as you turned around with your arms full of Chinese food containers.
"Oh, you can look now." you mumbled awkwardly as you dished out some fried rice and lo mein noodles into a dish to microwave. Levi drug his hand down his face, stopping over his mouth to cover his smirk as he took in your appearance. Damp hair, Erwin's sweat shirt no longer covering your lower half, the baggy boxers sagging enough to show your hip bones.
"Where'd you get those?" he asked, pointing a finger at the underwear. Your face turning red once again.
"Erwin's laundry, don't make it weird okay?" you said as you turned back to the task at hand.
"Those aren't Erwin's." Levi deadpanned, his eyes trained on your waist. You froze, your eyes widening at his words, if your face had been red before, it was now crimson.
"I-" what were you supposed to do? Say sorry? Go change? This was so awkward.
"Keep em. They look better on you anyway." he huffed in amusement as you finally turned to look at him.
"Gross." was all you said, your ears and neck flushed as you stuck the plate into the microwave. Levi smirked at the sight of you leaning up on your tiptoes, your hair had left a damp spot on Erwin's white sweatshirt. You set the timer for a minute, settling back onto your feet you began running your fingers through your damp hair to untangle the knots.
"So...you really left a party to get a stain out of your sweatshirt?" you asked, a small smile spreading across your face.
"Yeah, would've bugged me all night." he sighed, the mere thought of the red ugly stain making him cringe.
"Really? Was it a good party?" you pressed, a knowing smirk curling onto your face as you began to understand why he had really left.
"It was mediocre." Levi grunted, raising to his feet he moved to the cabinet with pots and pans. He pulled out the tea kettle and filled it water to boil. Leaning against the counter, Levi took the opportunity to check you out some more. Although you were still young, he still appreciated the insane amount that you had grown in the short time he had known you.
He could remember you being a snotty brat, begging to be included. He remembered the time that you had gotten into a scrap with Nile, the older boy had easily won, much to all the boys amusement. He huffed at the memory, those were simpler times. He finished filling the kettle, he slid past you to set the pot on the stove, you flinched and he frowned. He lit the stove before turning to study your face, your nose was wrinkled at his closeness, eyes glued to his hands, your mouth was pressed into a firm line.
"Are you afraid of me?" he asked, genuinely curious in your answer. You blinked, your eyes turning to meet his steely gaze as he waited for an answer. Memories of Levi and Erwin's other buddies chasing you around the house, pulling your hair, or just being plain cruel to you.
"No...not really." you said, your voice cracking, of course you were weary around him given your past encounters, but you knew he wouldn't hurt you too bad.
"Then don't act like it. Makes me feel guilty." he scoffed, still standing uncharacteristically close to you. Relief flooded you when the sound of the microwave filled the kitchen. You pulled the food from the microwave and turned to grab a fork for Levi. You stuck the fork into the food and handed Levi the plate, he thanked you, but remained standing next to you. He twirled the noodles onto his fork and took a bite, his eyes still fixated on your own. He chewed the food slowly, his eyes shifted around the kitchen, and he frowned, where had Hange and Erwin ran off to?
"So, where did your idiot brother run off to then?" he asked casually, taking another bite of the noodles.
"Oh, um I think he and Hange went out to dinner and back to her place." you said, rubbing the back of your neck as you eyed a bottle of wine that you had been meaning to open.
"Hange's place?" Levi quirked a brow at the notion, her parents were almost as crazy as her, the house was basically the laboratory, filled with petri dishes and lab rats.
"Yeah, I guess her folks are out on some research trip." you shrugged, moving to open the bottle of red wine. Levi sank back onto the stool, his eyes turned downward as he focused on the food.
"Figures." he scoffed as he twirled another fork-full of noodles.
"Wine?" you asked, digging the opener into the cork. Levi shook his head and held up a hand, seeing as his mouth was full.
"Suite yourself." you muttered as you popped the cork from the bottle, you stretched up to grab a wine glass for yourself. Levi once again appreciated the way your ass looked in his underwear, cringing once he realized he was checking you out. Erwin would annihilate him if he found out that Levi was checking you out. He averted his gaze and quickly finished his noodles and rice, fighting off the thoughts of you and your perfect ass. You poured yourself a full glass and Levi raised a skeptical brow at the sight.
Your shoulders visibly relaxed as you sipped the wine, a sigh escaping your lips as you wandered into the living room and sank onto the couch. Levi placed his dishes in the sink, turning his attention to the low whistle of the kettle. He turned the stove off and poured him self a cup of chamomile tea. He dunked the tea bag in the hot water as he pondered following you, or going into the guest room to pass out. He chose the former. Placing his cup down gently on the coaster, the glass clinking in the silence. You had your legs folded beneath you, arm resting on the arm of the couch holding your wine glass.
Your eyes shifted over to sneak a glance at him, but quickly averted when you were met with steely grey eyes. You slid your legs out from underneath you and swung them over the couch, the room was eerily quiet, only the sound of your heart racing in your chest as you withered under Levi's intense gaze.
"See, that's what I mean." he scoffed, leaning to grab his cup.
"What?" you yelped at his words.
"You act all jittery around me." Levi grunted, gesturing towards the way you had pressed yourself tightly against the arm of the couch.
"To be fair, you did pick on me a lot a few years back, and still do." you whispered the last part, your cheeks flushed from the wine and the honesty behind your words.
"Tch" Levi clicked his tongue, his intense gaze finally falling from your face to your lap, where your hands were fiddling with the stem of the wine glass. You swallowed thickly before setting the glass down on the coffee table, not caring enough to find a coaster. Levi frowned at the sight, leaning over, his hand landing on the couch beside your thigh as he reached to set your glass on the nearest coaster. You sank deeper into the leather, your heart racing when he didn't move his hand, his eyes flicked back onto you as he slowly brought his other hand to rest on the arm of the couch. Caging you in, he remained seated on the sofa, his thigh pressing against yours. You licked your lips as you stared into his cold eyes.
"Wha-"
"I don't want you to be scared of me anymore." he cut you off, his eyes suddenly much softer.
"It's okay really Levi, I promise." you whimpered as he shifted his weight again, his hand lifted off the sofa and fell on your upper thigh, causing your heart to skip a beat. You looked down, your damp hair covering your eyes, cheeks flaring back up into a crimson blush. His head tilted to the side as he studied your reaction.
"Hey, look at me." he murmured, his hand squeezing to get your attention. You slowly lifted your chin and met his eyes, he sighed eyes soft as he studied your flustered face.
"I-Levi what are you doing?" you stuttered, his breath fanned over your face as he lowered his gaze to your lips.
"What do you think I'm doing?" he whispered as he leaned in, his hand sliding up from your thigh to disappear beneath the large hoodie. You allowed your own eyes to drift down to his lips as he neared you. His hands were cold and you flinched as he squeezed your side, you licked your lips, gathering the courage to close the gap. You sat up straighter, tilting your head to the right as you brushed the tip of your nose with Levi's. He let out a shaky breath, you could already taste the chamomile on his mouth, it was unbelievably enticing.
You'd never felt this intense urge before, not that wasn't the word. Lust. You timidly pressed your lips to his, your eyes screwed shut, all your senses overwhelmed with this intimate moment. Just as quickly as you had taken his lips with you own you pulled back, a loud smack filling the room as your lips parted. Levi followed you as you pulled away, his arm around your waist suddenly pulling you onto his lap as he relaxed back into the couch, now you sat perched over him, both of his hands holding your hips. He raised a brow at you as you splayed your hands across his chest, not missing the rapid beating of his heart.
"Your heart's beating really fast." you stated, a coy smirk spreading across your lips as you leaned in to nuzzle against his pale neck. Levi ran his hands up your sides, one wandering up your back beneath your hoodie, he paused not exactly shocked to find that you wore no bra. You turned, once again brushing your nose with his, but this time Levi was the one to capture your lips in a searing kiss. His tongue brushed against your bottom lip and you gladly opened your mouth wider for him. A sigh escaped your chest as you tasted the chamomile on his tongue, your own tongue brushing against his. You barely registered his hand on your jaw, little lone his other hand that tugged at the base of your hair on the back of your head. Your own hands gripped the front of his shirt for dear life as you pressed yourself down onto him. Finally you pulled back, the need for a full breath of oxygen overcoming your desire. Levi pressed his forehead against yours as you both inhaled deep lungfuls of air. His hand slid down your neck, leaving a trail of goosebumps in his wake, his hand finally settled over your heart, fingers splayed across your collar bones.
"Your heart is also beating fast." he mused, grey eyes glinting mischievously as you blushed, his hands still cold against your burning skin.
"And you have cold hands." you snapped back, bringing your own hand to rest on top of Levi's. His other hand returned to your waist, toying with the hem of his boxers.
"Sorry." he muttered, releasing the hem so that it fell loosely over your hips once more, a small smirk on his lips as he watched them hang off your hips, relishing in the bare skin he could see. You grunted, leaning down to rest your head on his chest. The sound of his heart beating making you smile fondly. Just as Levi was moving to wrap his arms around you, you turned and grabbed your wine, taking a long sip, eyes trained on Levi. His gaze darkened at the sight of the liquid sliding down your throat as you swallowed.
He reached up and took the glass from your hands before returning it to its place on the coffee table. You pursed your lips as you watched him grip your hips tightly, suddenly he rolled you over, your back hitting the sofa with a soft thud. Your eyes widened as you looked up at Levi's stony face, his grey eyes shining in the dim moonlight that gleamed through the large windows. He was so beautiful, your breath caught in your throat as he leaned down to take your mouth in his once more, this time he kissed you slowly. His tongue lapping at yours, savoring the lingering taste of wine. You reciprocated his motions, your hands resting on his sides as he slowly sank down on top of you, his weight oddly comforting. When he pulled away a string of saliva connecting the two of you, a smile spread easily across your face as you admired Levi's delicate features. He furrowed his brows in confusion at your wide grin.
"What?" he whispered, sinking his face into the crook between your neck and shoulder, deeply inhaling your scent. You giggled, his breath tickling you.
"Nothing, just...I never anticipated..." you trailed off as you felt him stiffen above you.
"Huh?" he pulled back to examine your face as you spoke, a brow raised, unsure of the meaning behind your words.
"I just never thought you wanted to be my friend. I thought you barely tolerated my existence." you chuckled nervously, shifting your hips against his. He grunted, his lips were drawn into a thin line as he thought of what to say.
"You have... always been important to me." he finally settled on those words in hopes of calming your anxieties and insecurities.
"Oh? Well I guess that you are kinda important to me too." you smirked, enjoying the slight blush that painted his pale cheeks, and the way his brows drew together.
"Tch." he clicked his tongue and leaned down, planting a kiss on the corner of your lips, another giggle as you turned in an attempt to kiss him. He ducked his head once more into the crook of your neck and began kissing the skin he could reach, impatiently tugging the hoodie down to expose your collarbone. You turned to give him better access, your eyes slipping shut as you basked in his attention.
The loud ring of your phone startled both of you, Levi's lips withdrawing with a string of saliva attached to your neck. You groaned, digging your phone out from between the cushions, blinking in shock at Eren's name on your screen. Levi remained glued to your side, his arms keeping you close.
"Eren?" your voice was thick, breaths still short and airy as you tried to compose yourself.
"(Y/n)! Thank god I got a hold of you! I need a place to crash for the night, I'm piss drunk and Mike's place is filled to the brim." his voice was light, a bit suggestive if you strained your ears. Levi grunted, reminded of his unfortunate encounter with the hot headed boy.
"I guess you can stay here, you bringing your friends too?" you sighed as you rolled off of Levi to stand up and compose yourself.
"Uh yeah if that's alright." Eren mumbled back, feeling the slight sting of your subtle rejection.
"Ok, do you... need me to come get you guys or..." you asked, trying to fill the awkward silence.
"Uh no, I think walking would do us some good, need to um sober up." he stuttered, your shoulders sagged with relief. You didn't have a car, or license meaning that Levi would have to drive you.
"Ok be safe." you said, hanging up quickly. Turning your attention back to Levi, who had an arm thrown over the back of the couch, legs spread wide.
"What was that about?" he asked, leaning forward to take a sip of his tea, grimacing when he realized too late that the liquid had grown cold. You smiled at him, moving to take a sip of your wine as well.
"I told Eren he and his buddies could crash here tonight." you sighed, turning to go unlock the front door so they could let themselves in.
"Why would you go and do that?" Levi's callous tone made your stomach twist into knots.
"I dunno, cause I'm nice like that I guess." you shrugged, dropping back down onto the couch and smiling coyly at him. Slowly your smile fell from your lips and you turned to face away from him.
"You've always been a pushover." Levi teased, a weak attempt at bringing your smile back. You huffed in amusement. But now that you'd had some time to think, you remembered Jean. You remembered him asking you to be his girlfriend. All though you hadn't given him a definite answer, you still felt the guilt creeping into your heart.
"I'm sorry about earlier, it was a mistake." you apologized, eyes averted. Levi scoffed, his hand landing heavily on the back of your head, gently he turned you to face him.
"I'm not." his voice was husky, grey eyes still clouded with lust. You shook your head and licked your lips.
"You should be. What about Petra?" you whimpered, his hand tightening its grip on the back of your head.
"I don't owe her anything, she's probably sleeping with Oluo right now." his words were dripping with venom, and you didn't miss the small glint of hurt in those grey irises. You flinched for Petra's sake, she wasn't a bad person, you knew that.
"But, it's not right Levi." you urged, your hand gripping his wrist and gently pulling it from behind your head. His eyebrows pinched together, rejection wasn't something that he was familiar with.
"I like you but, this is just bad timing." you chuckled darkly, taking his hand in your own you grazed your thumb over his knuckles.
"That's a load of shit." Levi hissed, turning his face away, his bangs hiding his gunmetal eyes.
"Look, all I'm saying is that you'll be graduating soon and I wouldn't want to slow you down or anything..." you mumbled, giving his hand a squeeze. Levi turned back to face you, a scowl glued to his face.
"I don't give a damn about any of that shit." he hissed, squeezing your hand back, his eyes filled with sincerity.
"But I do, I want you to get out of this shitty town and I want you to live." you didn't look sad, your eyes seemed to sparkle with admiration.
"God you sound like your brother." he quipped, turning away from your starry-eyed gaze.
"Maybe, but it's really for the best Levi." you sighed, sliding your hand out from under his with reluctance.
"So...what you're saying is that if I go to school and become successful then you'll let me tap that?" he smirked at you, that same sad glint in his eye, despite his teasing tone.
"Basically." you giggled at his words and smiled broadly at him. He scoffed, certain that this was one of those traits that you shared with your brother.
"Fine, I'd better get going before those brats show up." He sighed, standing up slowly, his hand slipping from your loose grasp.
"Ok, I'll see you around?" You beamed up at him, from your seat on the couch, and he nodded, grabbing his cup to place in the sink. You rose with him, sad to see him go, but you knew that it was for the best.
"Sure." Levi mumbled, gently setting his cup in the sink and turning to the foyer to pull his shoes on while you leaned against the counter. The house was still dark, making it hard to see Levi's face as he tugged on his vans and Erwin's jean jacket that was hanging on the hooks nearby.
"Drive safe." you called after him as he left, he didn't even glance back. But that was just Levi for you, so you stalked to the door and locked it. Leaning against the cool surface and sliding down to crouch on the floor, resting on your haunches. The sound of Levi's car starting filled the silence, and his head lights lit up the dark house for a moment as he pulled out of the drive way. If you listened closely you could hear his music, a small smile graced your lips, before the mental images of you and Levi filled your head.
God what were you thinking? Such an idiot, you should have never kissed him, now he wouldn't want to be your friend, probably thought you were a prude. You hit your head softly against the door once, then harder a second time, you had to be better, you couldn't be this impulsive in the future. With a heavy sigh you heaved yourself back onto your feet to pull out extra blankets for your guests. About ten minutes later the trio arrived, clearly a bit tipsy, Armin's cheeks were flushed and his eyes glazed over, clearly tired. Eren was propped up between Armin and Mikasa, his cheeks were also flushed and his eyes were unfocused. Mikasa was fine as always. You grabbed water bottles for them and helped them downstairs, where you had set up their pillows and blankets on the couch. Mikasa let out a tiny sigh of relief when she lied Eren down, rolling him onto his side. You helped Armin down, he was babbling incoherently, his hands holding tightly to your forearms.
"You're so pretty (Y/n), thank you so much for...for" His face screwed up and you whipped your head around, looking for something that he could throw up into. Your eyes settled on an old bowl that still had some popcorn kernels at the bottom. You leaned over and scooped up the bowl and held it under his chin, running your hand through his blond locks to pull the strands framing his face back. He leaned forward and heaved, only a small amount coming out. Mikasa clicked her tongue, holding the bottle of water up to Eren's lips.
"I'm sorry." she apologized as she opened Armin's bottle, once you were sure he was done you reached around to the side table for a tissue to wipe his face. You took the bottle from Mikasa and held it to his lips, he took it gratefully and took long swigs. You took the bowl and quickly dumped the contents into the toilet and flushed, you rinsed the bowl and brought it back out incase either of them needed it again. Mikasa was slouched against the couch, the boys having already fallen asleep, you set the bowl down an even amount between the two of them.
"You can sleep up stairs with me if you want." you offered, slowly standing and holding a hand out to help her up. She glanced at Eren and pursed her lips in thought.
"Fine." She relented, taking your hand she spared one last glance at the boys as you switched off the lights and went up stairs. You could feel her eyes on your ass as you climbed the stairs, and at first you weren't sure why, but then you remembered that you were wearing boxers. You tugged at the hem of your sweatshirt, a blush dusting your cheeks. Once you reached the main level of the house you walked around and switched off the kitchen lights and the lamps that were on in the living room.
Mikasa waited patiently at the foot of the stairs, one hand on the rail, and a foot on the first step. Finally the room fell into darkness as you flicked off the last lamp and you groped your way to Mikasa. She huffed in amusement when your hands met her shoulder, she pulled you around the corner and up onto the stairs. You both climbed up the stairs, you giggling as she held on to you, her hand warm on your arm. You stumbled into your room and you fell onto your bed, a sigh leaving your lips. She fell next to you, the moon illuminating the second floor bedroom through the slit in your curtains.
"So you going to tell me whose underwear you're wearing?" She asked, a playful glint in her eyes. You huffed and shoved her shoulder as you rolled over to face her.
"They're Levi's." you admitted, relishing in the way her mouth opened in surprise.
"Gross why?" she asked, tugging the comforter up over the both of you.
"Well he showed up and I was only in a towel so I wasn't picky when I was digging through Erwin's laundry." You chuckled at the recent memory. She also let out an amused grunt, her steely eyes seemed to flash in the moonlight.
"Stupid shorty. I thought for sure he was going start a brawl at Mike's earlier." she scoffed, her distaste for Levi evident as she spoke.
"Why am I not surprised?" you rolled your eyes, knowing how explosive Eren could be when he was drunk and how easy Levi was to piss off.
"I wasn't surprised at all." Mikasa suddenly looked older, her eyes tired and her features pale in the small amount of moonlight in the room. You shifted, turning on your side to face her, she licked her lips and averted her eyes. You had always admired Mikasa's composure, she carried herself with such elegance and maturity. You only wished that she wouldn't try to shoulder the weight of the world alone, much like another Ackerman that you knew. She rolled over, her shoulders rigid, clearly she was done talking. With a sigh you tugged the comforter up over your shoulder and closed your eyes.
"Good night Mikasa."
