Hey so can I request a something. So I wanna see your interpretation of what would happen if Rika got adopted by Yoosung's family.

I myself had made some headcannons like yoosung's mom gets Rika's parents and the p*do priest arrested. Around the time she adopted Rika (who is older than her own daughter by two years) she was pregnant with yoosung.

And while she was a good mother to Rika life wasnt the smoothest cuz I could see yoosung's sister being jealous of Rika and Yoosung cuz Rika herself had severe traumas and yoosung was literally a baby and since her other siblings had more needs she was getting ignored which led her to lash out at Rika (like she cut Rika's hair short one time out of jealousy) and eventually at baby yoosung. But eventually their conflict get resolved

So these are the few headcannons I have what do you think??

okay first, i firmly believe that rika would’ve founded the rfa no matter what. she definitely still struggles with her mental health, but it isn’t as severe as it is when she isn’t adopted.

i can definitely see her absolutely adoring yoosung the moment he’s born. i feel like she’d be one of those kinds of little girls that carry around a baby everywhere and a stroller, so she’d love to do the same with yoosung

yoosung’s sister not liking her would hit rika very hard. she tries so hard to be as perfect as she can be because she is terrified of losing her family

of course, the sister doesn’t realize this and all she sees is rika, with her perfect grades and perfect attendance and her perfect behavior. and so, when the parents pay more attention to rika than their own daughter, it does cause her to lash out quite a bit

i don’t know if she’d go as far as cutting her hair, but she’d certainly pick fights and even go as far as destroying something rika likes. like, maybe cutting up her barbies or ripping out the pages from her favorite book

it takes a lot of counseling and a few rocky patches until rika and the sister begin to make amends

rika and the sister would have a very strong relationship, i feel. they would ABSOLUTELY have one of those talks that go ‘so why did you hate me so much?’ ‘because you were perfect!’ ‘perfect? i was petrified every single day of doing something wrong.’ with lots of tears

would have a VERY close relationship with yoosung. she’d be both his bestie and another sister to him

rika would grow up to be a genuinely warm person without a devil inside of her. i think she would still date v, but it wouldn’t happen as fast as it normally does. like, they start dating nearly as soon as they meet because they’re both desperate for more- v for his artistic stuff, and rika as a last-ditch attempt at controlling her devil

but they would still fall into a very deep and genuine love with each other.

it’s also interesting to note that this would drastically change the character routes

if everything else stays the same, and v still takes saeran and still has saeyoung become a hacker, then saeran would be a completely different person

saeyoung and saeran wouldn’t be able to reunite for a while still, but saeyoung gets a lot more photographs of saeran

saeran would act a lot more like ray- minus the. threatening to hurt himself and all that on v’s route

yoosung would also be the complete opposite of how he is right now. he probably would not have touched lolol, would be very intent on staying on course to becoming a vet

v would not be the self-loathing and anxiety ridden person that he was when you met him. his relationship with yoosung would be a lot better, too. they’d regard each other as brothers, and yoosung wouldn’t be as untrusting of v as he is

i’d like to think mc would still join the rfa, too. maybe rika would convince mc to be a party planner once she and v got married and started thinking about creating a family.

all in all, rika would be a much better person if she got to grow up with yoosung. there wouldn’t be any mint eye, any tragic secrets, any of the shadiness on v’s part.

This is the 7th addition to my very long string of posts, where I Homestuck classpect Mystic Messenger characters. I explained in my very first post with Zen how I go about doing this. For Saeran I will split it into 2 parts because... I have a lot to say. buckle up this is real long, even compared to the previous posts.

Personality/General Info:  Depends on which story we’re talking about. Generally: is a good hacker like his brother. Likes cooking and gardening. Weak constitution. Used to be sweet and gentle as a child, but grew up to become aggressive and rage-fueled.

Great ambition to get revenge against Saeyoung, believing that he abandoned him. As a child, saw him as his most precious companion. When Saeyoung left, it brought pain and grief. Rika manipulated him into believing that he abandoned him on purpose, causing Saeran to feel intense rage and hatred for his brother. Considers V a traitor for taking Saeyoung away. Everything they say to him is considered a lie. Saeran wants to inflict as much pain on Saeyoung as he could (killing or torturing MC in some BEs, though doing that is a last resort).

Saeran’s devotion to Mint Eye is great, to the point he is considered one of the most faithful followers. He even has a Mint Eye tattoo on his arm. In Deep/Casual, not only does his thirst for revenge blind him, but the anger towards the abuse he suffered at the hands of his own mother consumes him, and thus he'll easily abuse others to let out his anger even when he hasn't been part of Mint Eye for months (Yoosung's Bad End 3), or lash out violently when his plans aren't successful (Yoosung's route) to the point he blinds Yoosung's left eye when he stops him from detonating a bomb in MC's location with her in it.

Despite Mint Eye's manipulation having a hand in shaping his personality for the worse, he admits violence comforts him outside of the cult even after being weaned out of drugs, however, he's shown to have deep remorse over these bad actions after his anger subsides and is capable of improving to be a less harmful person, slowly becoming the warm person he used to be.

In the Secret Ending 2, Saeran begins to overcome his emotional trauma(s). After being rescued from Mint Eye following a major mental breakdown, Saeran's aggressiveness escalates and he refuses to trust anyone ever again due to his deep fear that he will be betrayed and abandoned again. Slowly and reluctantly, he begins to believe that Seven is being truthful and won't abandon him again, which makes his anger subside despite the path of recovery being a rocky one. By the end of 707's Secret Ending, Saeran is a lot stabler compared to how he was before and he joins the RFA, being its newest member now, thus marking his road to recovery and becoming his own person away from Mint Eye.

In Another Story there are 2 personalities: Ray and Saeran. The two personalities are aware of each other and seem to be able to communicate with one another.

Role in Narrative: Antagonist in main og story. Is important to main story, and is one of Saeyoung’s main character motivations. Most of his actions pertain to serving Mint Eye, but he also serves his own interests by taking revenge against Saeyoung. That was his main motivation: to serve Mint Eye for the sake of enacting revenge. He also genuinely believed in Mint Eye’s cause, but learns that it was all a lie. He must move past all of his pain and rage to live a better life with his brother and the RFA. Saeran kills V. He destroyed his life. He destroys Yoosung’s sight, psyche, etc. Tries to destroy the RFA.

Active or Passive: He could be passive (+) because he does things to benefit Mint Eye. But, he uses his position at Mint Eye to exact revenge against Saeyoung, which could be seen as active (-)...

I have multiple classpects that I'm considering for Saeran. He is a difficult character to parse, after all. So, I will split this into 2 posts, each focusing on 1 interpretation for his possible Classpect.

Classpect Interpretation 1:

Page of Heart (-) - One who serves Heart, or serves through Heart for themselves.

How this applies to Saeran: The description for Pages at their worst is how I would describe Unknown. Manipulative, selfish, and infuriating. Saeran created a persona as Unknown, hiding behind it. He doesn’t want to be the ‘weak’ Saeran, but the strong Unknown. Despite trying to be ‘strong’, Saeran was always gentle and innocent inside. He clings to the lie that Rika and Mint Eye presented to him, instead of believing Saeyoung when he says he didn’t abandon him. He clings to what he is used to. Pages can still be very perceptive though, but avoid unpleasant topics/truths behind their persona, and we see this with Saeran. In the SEs he starts having an internal conflict about his brother, if he really abandoned him or not. He retreats back to his Unknown persona, protecting himself, running away from reality. Other instances where he doesn’t take accountability and retreats to his persona is… killing V. When he sees Rika talking to V, he believes that she is being tricked by him. He aims a gun at him, showing his ‘strength’, and kills him. Saeran loses himself, constantly hiding behind Unknown, and being confused by all of the revelations happening around him. It causes him to become incredibly unstable.

Saeran can come off as mean due to the way he acts, but we see in his childhood how innocent he was. How he daydreamed about a better life. Loved watching the sky, ice cream, etc. His likes and interests were very childish.

A Page at their best is very charming, inspiring others to follow them, following their ideals, and people want to help them. We see the ‘inspiring others’ and ‘following their ideals’ part in Ray's After Ending, where Saeran is fully whole again, working with the RFA to save Saeyoung. He also wants to protect MC, not afraid of facing his father anymore. The RFA all looked up to Saeran for his earnest determination. You could say he is a fully realized Page in this ending, which was extremely difficult to achieve. The potential that Saeran displays is immense. Even his hacking skills are considered better than his brother’s, and who knows what else he can achieve if given the opportunity to live a normal life?

In the original main story, though, we see people who want to help Saeran. Of course, it's V and Rika. Saeran’s weak constitution is what made Rika want to ‘save’ him. V couldn’t help but want to help him (though, V has a compulsion to want to help everyone, but still).

In Homestuck, the Page class is known as the most difficult to master. As a result, the Pages we see in the comic, like Jake English, are viewed as ‘weak’ by the characters. Their discovery of their own self worth and true potential is extremely long, to the point that they may never reach the end of their journey. With Saeran, his past was stacked against him. A prime minister as a father who wants to kill him, an abusive mother that targets him for his weak constitution, being indoctrinated into a cult as soon as he left his old situation. In every turn he takes there is always something hampering his journey towards self-actualization. There are many bad endings in Another Story that show this, where he either becomes the cult leader of Mint Eye, dies, etc.

The development of a Page is considered slow too, needing help from others in order to mature. Because of Saeran’s childhood, he does need help in order to mature, lacking normal experiences that most would have had. V offers this help in the form of teaching him about photography and flowers. Rika seeks to help him ‘mature’ or ‘grow strong’ by indoctrinating him into Mint Eye. She believes that by doing this he will reach his full potential, and leave his ‘weak’ old self behind. (Bro this just sounds like Aranea Serket forcefully unlocking Jake English’s full potential, and then it ends up fucking up the entire story). The bonds that a Page has with people is a double-edged sword. Due to his nature, people want to help Saeran, badly, but if it's the wrong kind of people, like V and Rika, it could end up poorly.

This is what the Extended Hiveswap Zodiac had to say about the Heart Aspect:

“Those bound to the aspect of Heart are very concerned with their favorite subject: themselves. It wouldn’t be a stretch to call them 'self-obsessed’, but not necessarily in a negative way. They simply want to understand the one thing we all are stuck with for our entire lives, i.e. our own minds. Forging an identity is extremely important to the Heart-bound, and every decision and action goes toward building a coherent narrative of their own story. That isn’t to say Heart-bound don’t care deeply for their friends and allies; they just have a tendency to assume that everyone is as concerned with identity as they are. They are excellent at putting on and taking off masks as the situation calls for them. At their best, they are competent, imaginative, and steady. At their worst they can be overbearing, inflexible, and cold.”

How this applies to Saeran: Heart is Saeran’s Aspect. I’ve said in the Yoosung classpect post that I believe Heart represents romance, emotions, soul and identity. Saeran’s identity is little to none in the beginning of his story, unable to see the outside world due to his parents. Saeyoung was healthy enough to venture outside, to see the world and to form an identity of his own. Saeran was unable to, and as a result there’s only a handful of things that we know he likes for sure: the sky, flowers, and ice cream. You could say these are small parts of his Heart, but he only managed to gather a little.

The theme of identity is all around Saeran. In the main story his identity is decided by others: by Rika who wants him to be Mint Eye’s hacker, by Saeyoung who wants him to be the same little brother that he knows, by V. In Another Story we get a split-personality narrative, where his identity is literally split apart. This is a struggle seen in the Heart bond, trying to figure out who they are (as I’ve said before with Yoosung, but in his case his journey towards self-actualization is completely different).

A Page of Heart has Heart Served to them by others to benefit themselves. Rika, V and Saeyoung are Serving Heart to Saeran, exposing him to new things and shaping his identity. Saeyoung showed him the sky and ice cream. V showed him flowers and photography. Rika showed him… yeah. As I’ve said, letting other people gather Heart for him, help him in order to mature, does more harm than good. The only way Saeran could reach his ideal self is to access his Aspect himself. We see this clearly happen in Ray’s After Ending. Once he has access to Heart, then he is unstoppable. He not only knows exactly who he is (Ray and Saeran fusing into one personality), but we also see other parts of the Aspect of Heart shine through. Romance is a big part of Heart, and he gets that with MC. He is able to express his emotions, which were seen as ‘weak’ by Rika, and ultimately this results in him connecting with his father, making Saejoong actually feel remorse. Emotions aren’t weakness to him, they are his strength.

A Page of Heart can also call on Heart to protect themselves from hardship or unpleasant situations. You could argue he initially does this when he splits his personality between Ray and Saeran in Another Story. He protects himself from pain by making one personality take the brunt of it, even though in the grand scheme of things, he is only harming himself more by doing this.

So, how is Saeran a Page of Heart in the main story (Deep Story, 707 route, Secret Endings)? Well, I talked about Another Story and Ray After Ending a lot since I think we actually see him become a fully realized Page of Heart there, but in the main story that isn’t as obvious. He still has Heart pushed onto him by Saeyoung, V and especially Rika. He hides his true self behind the moniker of Unknown. He uses this identity to his benefit, even if its harmful towards his true self. As Unknown, he intimidates and terrorizes the RFA.

I will be honest, the Page of Heart suits the Saeran we see in Another Story and the role he plays within that narrative. In the main story of Mystic Messenger, his role is different from this. I wanted to cover this interpretation anyway, since it did resonate with me.

Similar to how I determined Jaehee's classpect, we must look at Deep Story, 707 route and the Secret Endings in order determine his classpect, since I believe classpects are determined by the role a character plays in the main narrative.

(Also I like the idea of the Choi twins having classes that are the direct opposite on the Active and Passive class dichotomy).

youre *the* saeran blog so i was hoping maybe you could clarify for a friend and i. was discussing post-ray-ae-careers and i know saeyoung got contracted w jumin, but i was confused about saeran's job? i only remember that he said that "being a hacker was suffering" at the end of his route but i know hes also the (un?)official head of cyber security at c&r. is that his actual job in the ae? or is he just legit free to do whatever after all is said and done?

Alright, I understand that this is a perplexing situation for you. So, GE Saeran has to become the head of the security detail as soon as the two of you escape Mint Eye. It's not because he wants that to be his job. God knows the last thing he wants is to spend the rest of his life on a hacking schedule. But, he has no choice. He takes control of the security team that's hunting down his twin brother, and Jaehee gets to take a break by letting him at the helm. It's nothing for Saeran.

In-game, he is referred to as being far more skilled than his brother, so he knows he shouldn't waste skill no matter how much he hates it. He might not know what he will do when he finds his brother, but he wants Saeyoung to be able to live a free life. So, for the two months that Saeran is free from Mint Eye, he has an official job and that's a job at C&R as the head of this special task force.

I don't think he's the head of Cybersecurity for the entire cooperation, though. He could surely make suggestions and help the company in any way if he noticed a failure, and I bet he did when they were trying to ensure that C&R didn't go offline in the midst of the world learning the truth thanks to them. So, you're right, the unofficial man who is in charge of cybersecurity is a solid label for him at that point. But, the proper label would be the head of the task force. He's doing different things depending on what's needed.

But, if we're talking about the head of cybersecurity, that is the title Saeyoung is given in V's After Ending. When Saeyoung is on the cusp of wanting to not be alive anymore, Jumin offers him a place to be so he can do good and try to make sense of his grief. He takes the job as best he can and continues in that role since the contract was one of those things that will go on forever. It was the only thing Jumin could think of to keep his friend alive. Saeyoung has that job title locked up but Saeran doesn't, by technicality.

However, the job Saeran has an end date in sight. The goal is to find his brother and secure the future. His thought process is that once he finds his brother and they can get everything cleaned up, there will be time for him to decide what he wants to do.

After all, he only had a few moments of freedom before he jumped back into doing something.

He deserves some time to not have to worry about the state of the world around him. He deserves to be able to be selfish. I do not think that he will stay working immediately after the events of his after ending. That will change in the future, but in the immediate time frame, it's time for a break. He needs time to just be a person and to make up for everything he never got to do before now. Where is he getting the money for that? Jumin. Saeyoung. The RFA. They're not going to let Saeran struggle! Nobody's letting Saeyoung struggle on his own, either.

Saeyoung has a copious amount of money saved. He isn't going to have to worry about working for a while. If anything, he's going to be using his money to also live a little and that means the same for his brother. The twins aren't going to be working anytime soon. It's time for a break. It's time for a vacation. For the time being, neither of them have jobs. 

He has a job with Jumin, Jaehee, or Zen if he wants one. That’s the thing. The boys are always going to be able to find work if they want it. It doesn't matter how they want to work or who they want to work for, their friends are going to make sure that they're taken care of as much as possible. They're never going to have to worry about that. I don't think the twins would ask for help, but anyone would give it to them without question.

Now, do I have an idea of what his work is going to be when he has the decision in his head to get a job? Sort of. There is one piece of merch that implies that he could be working as a white hacker. It's not solid enough for us to go on, but it exists. That would mean that he would be using his powers for good instead of the other way around. It's possible the twins will work together as white hackers for some time. I don't see that as a lifelong career for them but I do see it as something that they can work on when needed.

Frankly, I align myself more with the theory that someday they will have a toy and flower shop combination. TLDR; Saeran has a job at C&R during the After Ending, but that job wouldn't exist after Jumin is ousted from the company. But, he could get a job with Jumin if he wants to once again later on since Jumin started his own practice. It is the same for Saeyoung.

It’s been several months since Mi-Cha arrived in Seoul and in the RFA’s lives. Summer has finally arrived, and with that comes the urge to spend these sunny and warm days at the most refreshing place for such a season— the beach! Turns out the RFA is not that different.

One day, while chatting on the app, Mi-Cha sees that Yoosung and Zen talk about having a beach day for Saturday. It had been a while since she had gone to the beach at all, let alone with friends; and that day will be as good as any to go! Now, all they have to do is convince Ray’s grumpy, workaholic ass to come along.

Well, correction: All Mi-Cha has to do…

Now, if only Ray would actually acknowledge her existence—especially considering the past they share.

Man, I see you're playing Ray AE. I remember the first time I did. It was my last. The first time I did it felt as if my heart was ripped out of my chest, ripped to shreds and stomped on. But maybe it's because I love V. I barely found the strength to get the good ending. I was just blindly pressing the choices going by the guide.

I'll never forgive Cheritz for what they did to V and to Jumin (he is my second fave, so it's a double heart break) in that AE.

I'll never recover...

I am incredibly sorry to whoever sent me this request. I rarely check it because I receive so few? (Nervous chuckle ;;;;). I have a great deal to say about this AE in general. Let me tell you.

I couldn't give an overall opinion because I had three bad endings (damn you!) and I quit in the middle of day 4. So I was unaware of what happened to V and Rika at the ending? However, here is what I can say about what I currently know. I believe Cheritz portrayed V as a "villain" excessively. Don't get me start about Rika. Yet, she is not in a rational state of mind, so let's focus on V. We are all aware that V would always keep a secret and bear the entire burden by himself. This is what we have all acknowledged about him so far in every way. If it was necessary to protect the RFA, he would shoulder the burden and even make the ultimate sacrifice. This is who he is. He is both destructive and protective of himself. He would have committed suicide to prevent Rika from causing irreparable harm to the RFA. V has numerous flaws, but he would never stab RFA in the back. I have stated in my previous posts that everyone in the RFA, not just V, is OOC at some point. It does not appear that they are being themselves. Let me tell you, my mouth was gaping when V put on the sleeping gas like (??????). Are you indeed V? Are my eyes lying to me? Who the hell are you??? V would never have gone this far? Perhaps the circumstances and gravity of the situation would somehow influenced his rational decision, but it surprises me that he is portrayed as the traitor who betrayed RFA.

Even though he was blinded by love, this is not the V we knew. Yes, he felt guilty, but choosing Rika over the RFA is not something I'm accustomed to seeing. Sure, V lied about Rika's death and Saeran being a hacker for everyone; he did so to keep Rika "pure" in the eyes of the RFA. However, the fact that he went on to betray the RFA (without hesitance) is absurd. Cheritz was so intent on making V Rika's accomplice that I do not believe we are looking at the same V. Perhaps it was for the plot itself, which is flimsy. (Shrugs). To tell you the truth, I'm not entirely pleased with how Ray AE is taking the lead; it feels too cliche and cheesy for my tastes. Even Rika and V are so OOC. (Everyone however though) I'm grateful that Cheritz has finally completed everything, but I'm not entirely satisfied with the outcome; I had hoped for something different and better. Oh, I forget, I love V too so when I first saw his CG during the meeting, I was like WOW OMG, I went straight to make an edit! Haha.

Yeah man, I knew how it feel to see your character turned out to be not how you want it. I feel the same towards Saeran GE *cough*

Well. Let's just think that, this an AU and Original Story is the true one, since both Casual route/deep route and "Another" story are separate universes, on it own, so let's just focus on what making you feel at ease. Okay? Muah. 😘❤️

What if V became the cult leader and Rika stayed behind with the RFA?

Growing up, V wasn’t allowed to make many of his own choices. Everything was decided by his father and his tutor, down to the very clothes he wore. It chafed at him, making him want to be the one in control. That’s one of the reasons why he enjoyed seeing his mother so much - he was the one in control of that relationship. When his mother died, it threw him into chaos, having lost the little control he previously had until he met Rika.

He and Rika met much the same as they did, with Rika coming in everyday to look at one of his paintings. Their lack of experience with love drew them to each other and V shined the full force of his “love” (really, obsession) on her. In this au, Rika was the one who said V could do anything to her, even hurt her, so long as she kept his love.

He likes that he can control Rika through his love. V, unlike Rika, doesn’t think he has a devil, that his obsession is the full force of the sun and that it is completely good. He doesn’t see the harm it does, like how it keeps her away from the family members that love her (Yoosung and his mom), to how she can’t do anything alone anymore. The more he obsesses over Rika, the more she is forced to adapt into what he thinks is a healthy partner.

He gets really paranoid that she’ll leave him one day. In his mind, either the people he loves die or they don’t love him back.

In regards to Saeran, this time it’s V trying to isolate him. V tries to create a father/son bond that he never got with his own father and Saeran is actually really receptive. Instead of turning Saeran against his brother, V convinces him that they can “save” Saeyoung from the agency he works for. He convinces Saeran to learn to hack both as a way to be close to his brother but as a method to save Saeyoung.

V eventually gets to the point where he’s under the delusion where he thinks his love can “cure” everyone of their demons. Everything becomes beautiful under the light of the sun. This is why he founds Mint Eye (named in a fit of narcissism), so that he might save the less fortunate through his love.

Rika starts to pull away once the cult is created, telling V that it’s wrong, and V lashes out. They get into a fight that damages his vision, but the doctors were only able to save one eye. Rika still loves him with all her heart, but she can’t support his actions and threatens to leave him if he doesn’t stop.

Betrayed, V leaves and Rika lies, saying that V committed suicide. She doesn’t want to ruin the memories of V the RFA have, especially Jumin and Zen. Both his father and Jumin kick up a fuss about it, but there isn’t any evidence that directly contradicts her testimony, so Jihyun Kim is declared dead.

Rika can’t live in her apartment anymore and instead stays in V’s old one.

She’s made head of the RFA in the wake of V’s death.

This makes V furious, as he wanted to eventually bring the RFA into Mint Eye. He declares Rika a traitor, since she promised to always love him, and promises to burn her with the strength of the sun.

For cult activities, the drugging still happens. V doesn’t want to hurt anyone, so there are less believers since he doesn’t want to force anyone into joining, but if he thinks people need it (like Saeran and the RFA) he’s willing to make an exception.

Since V still has Daddy issues, his believers call him both Savior and Father - Savior when talking about him, Father when talking directly to him. The only exception is Saeran/Ray, who calls him Father either way.

He did steal money from the RFA to build the headquarters, but it wasn’t very much, so the Mint Eye building is much smaller. He has a goal to steal the information from past guests from Rika’s unguarded apartment. V’s paranoia ensured that there is still a bomb there.

Saeran is still brainwashed by the cult, but V brainwashes him to think Rika is the one to suggest the hacker agency to Saeyoung. That Rika is the one using Saeyoung, that she’s the reason why he’s hurting. He thinks Rika attacked V on purpose to destroy his vision so he wouldn’t be able to save people. He wants to avenge both V and Saeyoung by hurting her.

V’s delusions and paranoia steadily grow worse, not that he realizes since he never saw a therapist about his mental illness.

MC is chosen by V to infiltrate the RFA.

He actually meets her face to face, with her being extremely nice and having that main character aura definitely made him pay attention to her. 

She’s not “damaged” like the rest of the believers and RFA, so (like canon Rika) he doesn’t have to be the savior around her.

diavolo also reminds zen of jumin in a way, but like, if jumin was more likeable.

even if the brothers start flirting, yoosung would never notice. he's way too oblivious! he becomes more like family, because he kinda resonates with them and the whole lilith thing.

but he actually has a fairly good time. may or may not turn into a cult leader like his dear cousin afterward, though...

simply accepts her fate and agrees to spend the year in devildom

tells lucifer all about jumin...then comes to learn that lucifer is actually more like her and v?

she and satan get along well, but she befriends barbatos and spends most of her time with him and luke instead. baking and bonding over being pushed around by their bosses :')

he warns all of them to keep things lowkey because of his hacker job, and says that it's too dangerous for them to visit him in the human world

before he leaves he gifts everyone some kind of gadget as a way to remember him. gives the whole im-dangerous-man speech, then disappears, never to be seen by them again.

i think after everything settles down saeran would warm up to beel and belphie the most because their dynamic reminds him of his and saeyoung's. he easily relates to belphie and all of belphie's issues, and wants to help him through it!

like his brother, saeran is uninterested in everyone romantically because none of them are his type. he may or may not have had a fling with satan, but satan was giving off too much rika vibes /:

The Passed Out Princess Chapters 1-2

Pairing: My CMC (Uyu, Dan Byeol) x Suit Saeran

Description: On days 7-9 of Ray’s route, the player is denied food as “Saeran” makes his presence first known. But, what if MC fell very ill under this method of torture due to a medical condition? Sadly, my custom MC, Uyu (full name Dan Byeol), would deal with exactly this dilemma.

Content warning: Descriptions of throwing up, passing out, and meal skipping. Every food related issue mentioned is strictly medical, and based on my own condition.

This was written under the assumption that you have played Ray’s route in full, so route spoilers ahead! This takes place during the very beginning of day 8, and according to the timings and contents of the chat rooms, it would take place before Saeran cuts contact with the RFA and before he installs a camera to monitor MC in her room. It is timed to match closely around to when I’d get sick myself.

My CMC’s condition deals chronic with low blood sugar, meaning she has to eat to keep it up or suffer the consequences as seen here. It is not diabetes related, it is something she is born with as am I and is linked to more complicated matters I left out to keep it simple. Some symptoms include: growing light headed, severe dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and passing out. See all chapters

I wrote this with flexibility for whichever HC for Saeran you follow (DID or BPD), because whether or not he has one of the following, Rika has drilled it in his head that Ray and Saeran are separate entities, and Saeran views it this way. Consider it written the way Cheritz writes him, with nothing exactly too set.

To make things easier for myself, I’m uploading multiple chapters on each post, chapters only separated by lines. Here is 1 and 2

The sound of Dan’s phone alerted her to rise and greet the day with a new chat room open.

As the morning sun took its place in the clear blue sky, the little woman sat up in her big bed, bangs sticking out in all directions as her head thumped with a dull pain. Hunger induced pain, she noted, as her stomach felt empty.

Despite the beauty of this early morning, the light pouring through the windows creating a rosy glow which engulfed the princess room; there was no beautiful light shining on the brunette’s new situation, seeming so dreary and dim.

Uyu still found herself wrapped up in this place, whisked away to a castle tucked deep within mountains known as Magenta. Every corner of the building was constructed brick by brick with a beautifully ornate architectural design, but the bright exterior was only a façade. If she was left caged like this for long, what would become of her? Driven to insanity, perhaps she’d attack and claw at the walls which confined her, unable to turn her anger to Saeran, the real victim in all this. The “savior” made it clear she was the true ruling figure who lurked about as the moon rose, the mastermind behind this place’s pain and suffering.

The night before, after being so kindly introduced to “Saeran”, this golden-haired angel confirmed herself to be quite the wicked witch of the west indeed, and it took everything out of Uyu to not call her harsher names to her face.

Mint Eye was hell redecorated to wear the guise of heaven, but pretty gardens and saccharine words could not fool her. Because Dan wore no wool over her eyes, the savior had no intention of allowing her to live long enough to become the new narrator of “The Yellow Wallpaper”; and she had no shoes to click together at the heel to wish her way home with who she came here for originally.

Just as Ray’s suit did, he changed, flipping like a light switch.

Saeran, the name V previously called him by, did succeed in giving her a good fright, his attitude being the least thing she expected to see after Ray’s earlier sobs over the phone.

Uyu was mainly focused on one solid question after their encounter, though. Just what did that “cleansing” entail in full detail? What did this place do to him, to make him weep and beg for a warm hand to hold one minute, only to push back and try to scare her the next?

It was as if he was caught, dragged by the feet somewhere inescapable, a pit damp and dark down under; rising from a shivering grave cold to the touch.

If it weren’t for her position, she wouldn’t have allowed it.

Now more than ever, this room built on the foundation of fantasy and delight felt like a birdcage which barely allowed her to wiggle an arm through its bars. She relied on her song, her sweet words which Ray claimed to tickle at his heart and hold a power over him like no other before. Her goal, of course, was to use this for good, influencing him to learn to appreciate and care for himself like he should. But now, she felt unable to do even that much, not that she’d give up trying.

Saeran wished to dismiss her and her actions entirely, evident from his need to spew the fact that he bestowed upon her the label of being less than a person, his toy. His play thing.

That sick twisting she felt pooling in her gut upon first hearing the term “cleansing” seemed all too in place.

Ray, as sweet as her prince charming was, had a knack for leaving out important details about this museum of wonder. To her best guess, it was done to avoid panic as none of what went on here could be viewed as normal, or ok. He only briefly mentioned things like the “elixir”, such as on the night V arrived to spiral this place’s plans into chaos.

That was the night she could officially mark a great importance in staying, despite the vast network of lies.

Uyu wasn’t entirely stupid, she had an idea of what the elixir might be a while back, but it was still hard to process regardless.

Saeran threatened to give her one of these cleansing ceremonies...and said he could “draw out the maximum pain in the process”, telling her whatever happened to him hurt. A “no duh” moment indeed, but it was confirmation.

Ray suffered, for no reason other than he was too enwrapped in his blooming feelings for her, something that shouldn’t be taken as a negative but was. It displeased the savior that his chains which bound him by the ankles began to jingle with his new yearning to take flight.

She couldn’t allow herself to lie down and give the savior the satisfaction of breaking her, not when she still had so much to do, and not when Saeran and the RFA were at risk.

As the cool night-time air blew around them, feeling its whisper through her long locks of hair, Ray opened up about Mint Eye’s beliefs as a sanctuary for the “weak”, who had no choice but to lock themselves away to avoid further hurt.

He clearly viewed himself as someone in this category. Weak. But Saeran? Saeran shoved and shouted, which felt like a complete opposite to Ray’s whimpers and pleading. He even went as far as to accuse her of manipulation, of treating Ray like a puppet as she watched him dance to the harp she plucked.

Looking past his outburst and itch to watch her squirm, there stood a man seething with hate sparked entirely by twisted lies and his own fears. He gave himself away rather quickly as he attempted to say she messed with “hisna vefeelings” for some “big plan”.

She had to trust that there were boundaries he wouldn’t cross, being so close to her and forceful...and that was where her panic truly lied. But for now, she’d bank on the idea that he just wanted to scare her, staying alert in case he went too far. There were vases around from Ray’s various gifts that could be used as a weapon during the extreme. Unlike her, Saeran had no fighting skills either, but currently she was a bit too ill for those measures.

For once, a room so pink made her feel neither cozy nor at home.

Uyu’s fuzzy morning vision was then attracted to a black blob hanging on the doorknob. With a little eye rub, she made it out to be a dress, and a rather pretty one at that. In the way it was cut, it would expose much of her shoulders and upper back, the top front of it connected to a bow tied around the back of a neck piece with strings of fabric; like an attached choker. She could only assume it was a “gracious gift” bestowed upon her from the man she saw take Ray’s place. Apparently, he has a thing for black.

Her little device chimed again, and then once more, third time giving her the last push of annoyance she needed to reach over and respond to the opened chatroom.

She sighed with relief seeing Seven was the person active online, as she could now pester him with questions about what he was seeing on his end of the fight. They typed away, Uyu expressing concern for both of the hackers as they discussed Ra-Saeran’s new careless and aggressive tactics to snag him a victory.

As time passed, Jumin joined to ask questions as well, mainly circling around the governmental commendation from the Prime Minister to recognize the RFA for their charity work. Uyu stuck to her gut and pushed against the idea of it being a complete positive.

While both V and Seven acted oddly around the idea of the commendation, the RFA was also just a small organization which had only held two parties previous to Rika’s “passing”. The award was too fishy to trust in her judgment, especially now that she understood things going on around here weren’t at all what they had seemed to be.

Mint Eye wasn’t the only organization she was caught in that held its secrets.

After a bit of talking, Jumin agreed that the prime minister’s reasoning had to be figured out before any final decisions could be made. Everyone logged off, Seven returning to the battlefield and Jumin to stitching in his car.

The need for food grew worse.

Uyu showered and changed into the outfit provided…not having much of a choice to do otherwise unless she wanted to rewear old clothing. She felt down and sluggish as she dressed the way her toy maker willed, the dark frills of her attire tickling against her thighs as her step dragged. She was still ok enough to make herself look presentable, even if done at such a pace.

Her hair changed to a solid dark brown color as it took in the shower water, the gold ombré reaching her tips returning upon giving it a blow dry, making sure Saeran would have less to scoff next he saw her. She wasn’t aiming to avoid his crude comments, but instead trying to make herself feel good. Call her smelly all he wants, she knows she isn’t.

Saeran was aiming to play into her insecurities, maybe full well knowing she had so very many of them as he tried to wind her up. The least she could do was confirm his lies to be lies in the ways she knew how, if not for him then for her. She couldn’t allow him to figure out what made her gears stop, whether his words were true or not. This was no game of knife throwing, and she was no target.

11:00 AM crept up on her as she moped around quietly in her dollhouse, waiting for Saeran to come and try to take a good yanking on her marionette strings.

Dan sat upon the bed as the empty-headed feeling and banging in her temple raged, shifting to lay down fully and make herself more comfortable. If she stood for too long, she’d sway and wobble as her vision turned to black, purple and green swirls, momentarily clouding both her sight and mind.

Despite her numerous texts and occasional calls, she still heard nothing from Saeran. Not a peep.

She was growing restless as well as worried for him, and what would become of her as she continued to go unfed.

Her phone buzzed, shifting her attention over to it groggily, eyes half lidded as she wanted to sleep off this sinking feeling. Soon, she’d start to go down like the Titanic as lunch time acted as her iceberg.

Uyu hoped it was her self-proclaimed master, only to let out a grumble seeing that it wasn’t. Instead, it was Zen who had logged on.

She chatted with him, trying her best not to voice her ever-growing discomfort from skipping last night’s dinner as well as that morning’s breakfast, lunch time now creeping just around the corner.

After a quick talk, she’d call Saeran again...as uncomfortable as that conversation would be, it was her only viable option to kill the onslaught of nausea.

As they talked for a while, Yoosung joined the conversation as well….with talk of food; stew he was in the middle of making to be precise. She felt her stomach churn and rumble as the need for rest fell over her like a weighted blanket, being the only escape from the inevitable vomit now building up inside.

She logged off within another couple of seconds as the hot sweat began.

Dan swallowed thickly as her stomach went haywire, guts twisting, coaxing her to run to the toilet and empty out the water she could at least keep herself going on from the bathroom tap.

Leaving her phone on the bed, she rose to her feet best she could, stumbling till she reached the cold tiles of the bathroom floor. There, she fell to her knees, pulling her long hair back and away from her damp face, lifting up the toilet seat before her.

Within a mere moment, she felt the contents claw at the inside of her throat with a burning sensation, attempting to break free. She shuddered as her body suddenly fell in temperature, before allowing whatever her tummy could offer up to slip past her lips, color in her face all too faded away, displaying her illness. Gagging and choking noises echoed throughout the small room as the rather clearish liquid flowed from her mouth, tears from the discomfort blurring her vision as she blinked them away.

She stayed like that by the toilet for a while, throwing up a couple more times before making certain that event was over for the time being. Uyu considered herself extremely lucky that none was able to touch her or end up in her hair, but not nice to say vomiting wasn’t new to her. She knew the tricks.

Oddly, when something like this would happen, it gave her a tiny amount of strength back. It was strangely relieving, although emptying her stomach further. Her tummy was able to untense a tad.

She blew her nose and wiped her eyes before giving it all a flush down.

A fast teeth brush followed before she stumbled over to bed where she had left her phone. She fiddled with the RFA app until she could reach Saeran’s contact profile. Trying not to let the dread of being ignored again wash over her, she dialed up his number, both nervous and praying this time for a response.

After that last fit was over, her condition would move her into another stage, passing out being the only thing to come next without the blood sugar spike she needed.

The ringing went on for what felt like an eternity as she groaned and pressed her face into the pillow.

“Pick up...pick up damn it please pick up…”.

Uyu wished that she had made a bigger fuss over this earlier rather than attempting to swallow it and wait it out. Being distracted by “the savior” and Saeran’s screaming was something she shouldn’t have allowed herself to do in the midst of endangering her own health. What was she thinking? She knew it would reach this point, it always does if left unchecked. She internally cursed herself for not speaking up more assertively.

After another moment, his angry voice finally came through the speaker and she sighed softly with relief. The last she had heard from him was at four in the morning.

“Feeling this lonely and desperate already, hmm? Tch...what makes you think you have the right to contact me over and over again when I’m doing important work unlike you?”

She huffed on the other end, which he paid no mind.

“All you do is fiddle around like a good for nothing. You didn’t seem so happy to chat with me last time we spoke, but now you’re all eager and ready? You’re just itching for another visit aren’t you? Impatient little princess~.”

He let out an airy chuckle, finding her repeated acts of calling him rather amusing.

“Don’t worry. I have play time all planned out for you soon, you pest. I’ll bother you ten times more than you ever bothered me-”

She cut off his angry rambling, mumbling quietly as she spoke.

“Saeran...can you please come here? I’m not well right now and I don’t know how much longer I can keep myself functioning...I already threw up-”

“Speak up, you complainer! Seriously? You want to see me so badly that you’d put on an elaborate show? Princess...you can’t win any sort of sympathy from me by acting like a brat. Ugg, I’m going to hang up now. I’ll be imagining the million ways I can punish you for this later, stupid toy. I’m busy! Too busy for a bug like you to understand! You waste my time-”

“Wait please...please come here...it’s harder for me to explain over the phone. I...mentioned this problem earlier..please…”

And she had, briefly attempting to bring it up as he invaded a chat room between her and Jaehee.

“Begging now?”

He took on a sad tone of childish mockery as he continued.

“Please please please...please come see me... AHAHA! You airhead. I know what your medical records look like, and therefore I know you’re spinning a lie. You’re not to be trusted just as my savior says. There’s nothing there pertaining to some sort of eating issue other than the fact that your weak little body can’t handle milk…‘Uyu’~.”

He teased at her chosen nickname, and while the irony was why it was picked, this was less than fun.

“Now quit whining over an empty stomach when it hasn’t even been a full day! It’s no fun to see you give up so fast!”

Dan tried her best not to slur her speech, the task assigned to speak up being too hard of one to follow.

“Fine...fine don’t believe me. But…..it doesn’t hurt to come anyways. Since you want to see me suffer….or whatever….”

“Or whatever??? Toy, if I come see you right now...you won’t like what you’re going to get. I haven’t an ounce of pity in me to give you if that’s what you’re searching for. I'm not the type to let you rest in my lap as I stroke your hair and tell you it will be alright, and I won’t give in and feed you. Instead, I’ll make sure you never wish to call me again.”

“...ok…”

“Ok? Ok?? Haha! ...ok then. Let’s see how pathetic you’ve become as you beg and plead to me in person, little actor. Playtime is happening earlier today than I had planned. Congratulations! I’m extra pissed.”

Call ended.

She let out a puff of air, dropping her phone down next to her before closing her eyes, not bothering to stand in preparation for his arrival.

LMFAO bet ya didn't expect that did ya!? Nah you probably did, anyway the reason why she's the least reliable for a pet it's kinda obvious, first of all, she would refuse to get her pet treatment when it almost turns blind and ma'am? Please help your dog???

Also if at any time the pet dies she would start another cult so let's not risk it with her. Instead of an animal maybe give her a rock instead pfttt (actually wait-no she'd probably throw it at our poor mint coloured hair boy just give her a dog plushy it smth she can't be trusted with alive things)

10. Saeyoung

You may be asking me, Amanda, why, Saeyoung absolutely loves cats he'd be a cool cat dad, and yes, you're right. But you also don't understand that this man's love for cats goes SO far that he will actually cause chaos all around him. He'd give the cat SO many treats, not only that, but he'd also cuddle them, and that's nice tight? Wrong. This man will try to stretch the cat, grab it and twirl it around, reenact the lion king and do the 'Simba' bit and everything. Not only that he'd completely use it to prank Zen and everyone else, overall, he'd be a great pet owner but it'd be too much chaos so let's just stick with loving cats from afar.

Also I feel like he'd get a snake for some reason, and he'd dress them up in like a fancy bowtie a hat, or an iguana or chameleon y'know? He'd go for the amphibian type :o

9. Ray

I love our boy, I really do, but honestly how do you expect him to take care of a dog if he can't take care of himself. 😢

Actually scratch that, if he had a dog he would definitely love it and spoil it, and we live for that but also:

Maybe give him a hamster or smth, while he's hacking away and watching MC in their room the hamster will be spinning on it's wheel super happy

I could see him as the pet owner that takes their dogs on walks and such, but honestly, if he's allergic to cats he's probably allergic to other animals too, at least some with a lot of hair! Although I feel like he'd get one of those big dogs and he'd go on runs with it all the time. The dog would be like the ones that are mostly thought of as super dangerous or aggressive but it turns out they're a sweetheart. Either that or a poodle 🐩💀 (but like I said, he's probably allergic to animals with lots of hair.)

7. Jihyun

Jihyun would be pretty good as a pet owner but honestly he'd be super nervous at everything at first. Welcome to the Jihyun apologizing to his pet show akdjdn. But would we trust him with a pet? He wasn't really able to take care of two teenage boys -although it was mostly because he was in a toxic relationship 💀

When he has his sight problems he could totally get those helper dogs? (Forgot what they're called I'm sorry T_T)

He'd probably get a more chill pet tho, maybe a cat (he probably likes them a lot too! Also they're pretty calming.) So he could have like the guide dog and a small kitty too!

6. Jaehee

She'd be an awesome pet mom lol. I don't think she'd get a cat after being traumatized from pet-sitting Elizabeth. Maybe she could get like a turtle 🐢

Or maybe a rat to reenact Ratatouille lmaoo

She wouldn't get big pets unless the MC wanted to adopt something (and if they're a couple, we all know what people who want kids but can't or just aren't able to adopt at the moment, do, they get DOGS AND CATS!!!)

5. Suit Saeran

You may be wondering once again, WHAT AND WHY

Let me explain.

Suit would dffinetly get those scary and big dogs that have spiky collars and everything, and he'd probably call him something like Killer or Skull Destroyer, or maybe Blade lmao

And we all know he'd die for his dog. It's the only one he can trust ajdhdbdbd

He'd be like the bad boys that walk around with their dog everywhere growling at people (not just the dog, the two of them)

And "Spike" would be so well taken care of. Believers have to start doing draws to see who feeds the monster dog that always bites them PFTTT

The dog would also dffinetly know how to fight. It'd be cute if the only person he likes appart from Saeran tho is MC hehe

AND you cannot change my mind in this, ever since Saeran got "Dark Knight" (I'm experimenting with the dog names pfft) he's shown him a picture of Saeyoung and taught him to absolutely hate his guts, so Seven, buddy, maybe don't get to close to them lol

AND the backstory for this dog is that Saeran found him under some bushes, hurt, and the dog reminded him of when he was younger, so he took him in and that's how the doggie came to be :3

3. GE Saeran

Idk, he'd also get the normal-ish animals, like a bunny or a cat (he'd like how calming they are.)

He'd be the person that likes animals but like....other people's animals? He'd love to see Elizabeth and such, but he wouldn't really want to have one (unless MC wanted to of course.) It's not that he doesn't like them, it's mostly because he feels more comfortable with other people's pets ajdjdbd

3. In a tie with Saeran, Yoosung

Yoosung is a vet, c'mon he knows how to deal with animals!

At first he'd be so freaking nervous and would be just like a helicopter parent, making sure the doggie is alright and such, but then he gets the hang of it and he's perfect.

We all know we got a bunny with him too in his GE :D so maybe a dog and a bunny! He'd have more than one pet I'll tell ya that.

2. Jumin

Listen he's the king alright? He pampers his cat SO much, and you can just TELL how much he loves Elly. We all stan a man that loves animals.

He'd probably get some exotic pets too, maybe a few horses and birds that are really exotic or something

But can you imagine him with like....a tiger PFT

He'd be like: omg this is a cat but bigger let me have one

He'd also be up to a dog, it'd take a bit of convincing but if MC wants one then he'd snap his fingers and get them one immediately (I love this man he's so ADORABLE) and then they'd have two children and Zen wouldn't have to worry about just Elizabeth

1. Vanderwood

Yes! The one! The only!

He's the only one appart from Jaehee that has more than one braincell PFTTTTT

He'd have a pretty big and scary dog that would've an absolute sweetheart when you get to know them. Everyone at first is scared but the dog just wants to sleep and eat, that's all.

Vanderwood is super responsible, I mean after Saeyoung I'm sure a dog would be nothing. He'd also compare Seven to his dog lol "Not even Capitan America is that dirty!"

His dog would spend all day sleeping. Sometimes Vanderwood will take him on walks, and they really enjoy that time together.

He will tell him about his day as he cooks or does the laundry. He'd be in an apron making some dinner and be all like:

Not only that, he wasn't eating properly again, that idiot. I had to practically drag him out of his chair and make him eat some food. Not that I'm worried. It'd just be a hassle to have to find another hacker as good as him. Seriously that guy...."

I made a proper character on my account and used up a level 60 booster card for this boy on a class I ended up hating lmao

ChoiSaeran

Of course, he uses his own name. There are many aesthetics GE Saeran would go for, and I don't doubt he would take most of the flowery ones with proper suits as he would dress in real life, but I like to think even he would go for a little bit of cool darkness with a Hades suit and all sometimes. He cycles through costumes and aesthetics a lot.

Saeran is a DPS main - in this very specific case, a dual blade wielder, but I can also see him as a summoner or necromancer. I think he would like healing, but it's just not a position I can see him in. Like Yoosung, I think he'd be a bit overwhelmed. He agreed to play this game to bond with the other members of the RFA and have fun, not to make his life more stressful.

Saeran can handle PvE and PvP, but he prefers playing the game for farming/professions like gathering, cooking, or crafting. He spends more time soloing low-level dungeons for material drops than he does in Nightmare dungeons with the party. He spends way more time fortifying his gear than he does actually leveling up.

"But I want to be prepared for the awakening trial-" he reasons as Yoosung complains about how he wastes his precious time and resources on farming. It doesn't beat real gardening, but he can appreciate the menial game tasks for what they are.

Choi Boi PVP matches

Saeyoung follows him around pestering him with PVP requests and he keeps denying all of them.

"Fight me, Saeran!"

"Brother, please-"

He accepts when bribed with sweet cold treats.

It's a never-ending battle. Saeran's gear is fortified enough to regenerate and reflect enough damage that it affects Saeyoung's ability to make a dent in his HP bar, and Saeyoung has a high EVA stat, so they're pretty evenly matched in their complementary fighting styles.

While Saeyoung employs an "offense is the best defense" method (reference: AS email with whitehacker [intelligence unit head] where he mentions 707 also suggests offensive strategies), Saeran is more of an "iron wall" type of guy (reference: AS: story mode where Saeyoung notes that "this guy is blocking every corner that doesn't need blocked," referring to the hacker aka Saeran). Saeyoung deals in pure damage and crit, but Saeran is more of a strategist. Saeyoung weed wacks his way through the game beating his enemies with sheer force, but Saeran properly rotates his skills and timing, leading up to a skill that procs 15 different buffs at once for the best attack opportunities. Of course, Saeyoung also plays strategically at times - he couldn't have made it past the awakening trial otherwise. They just have separate play styles during free play.

Bonus: I made some models for Saeran's other timelines before I created a whole character for him the other day, and it'd be a waste not to use them sooo...

SE Saeran

Reserved cat boy who doesn't know exactly what he wants but the dark and fire dual blades looked cool. He's just along for the ride.

Suit

Much like the first GE Saeran, but he wholly embraces the dark look. He could either go as an evil military commander or a dangerous rockstar-looking dude. Giant swords with demonic auras fit him I think. Dual pistols are probably a better fit, but the costume weapons currently available for them in this game are relatively lame so I didn't use them to model Suit. Honestly, I don't think Suit would consider playing a video game for enjoyment without some sort of outside influence, but if there was some incentive like being able to dig up info on the RFA pre-Ray route, I can see him joining to spy on them.

Ray

I don't think Ray as we see him at Magenta would actually allow himself the pleasure of playing a game unless the player insists that he can and/or should, but if he did, he would definitely stick to his irl aesthetic. Ray isn't inherently violent, so I think he'd be better suited to casting, whether that's healing or DPSing.

In Ray route, Seven seems extremely anxious and depressed, after Saejoong rushed to meet V and Jumin, and the fact there's a better hacker than him. Why do you think he's got all sentimental and worried? It is because of Saeran and the promise?

Imagine this for a second, dear Anonymous.

You are 707.

For almost a decade you have given your life and soul to an agency that was meant to give you the tools to protect your brother from being hurt by your mother and father. You know that this agency isn't a good place but it's your only option at the time and you believe that it's the right choice to make because nothing else has ever been afforded to you in your life.

 It sounds like a good deal. All you want to do is protect your brother so you make a deal with the Devil. You give your brother to the two adults that you have decided to trust for the first time in your life and you leave. You leave knowing that you will never ever see your brother again or be able to hear about him.

You make this sacrifice because you know it's the right thing to do for your brother's life. You wish that you could be there with him but you can't. 

So, you make the best of what you have. You do whatever it takes to get through oh, and that means that you have to face traumatizing things that you never imagined. But still, you try your best to survive them because it's what you have to do. You do things because it's what you have to do.

It's your duty. It's your job to sacrifice.

You feel as though you are doing what has to be done and you never stop doing it. The only reason that you can make a mask that seems like a joker is because you saw a photo after so many years and your brother finally looks happy. You feel like there's a reason to go on because your brother is happy and finally you have seen that your sacrifice was worth it.

You can play pretend and make the best of this situation that you have. It's not the best, but you can pretend. You can pretend really well. Nobody is any the wiser to who you really are. You like to use the RFA as a found family. It's easy to imagine that they can be like your family and this is about as good as it's going to get.

You weren't too upset about that because all of these people are nice people and they make you feel normal. Even if you can't see your brother, you know that he's happy and you know that you can live with this little bit that you do have.

It seems like things are going to be okay even as the cracks start to appear. Your heart is heavy because one of those two adults that you trusted wound up taking their life as far as you know. You know that they were a nice person and that they did what they could to protect your brother, and you are grateful to that person even if they are no longer with you because they did what they could for your brother.

So, now you continue to lean all your trust into the one adult that you can count on that is still alive.You look at that man like he is your father. You see him as if he is a man that cares about you and that can be there for you when you need him. You may not have your brother, but you have a connection to your brother through this man who has promised to protect him.

Now, this is where things start to get messy.

Somebody appears in your messenger out of the blue. You don't know who they are and you don't know how they got in. Every part of you is telling you that this is not good. You have a fleeting feeling in the back of your head that this could be because of your father because every time you fear when something goes wrong you assume that it is the man who has been tracking me down since the day you were born.

You push that thought to the back of your head because your father figure tells you that you can trust this person.

He always tells you when you can trust someone even if you can't tell you the details. You trust him wholeheartedly because he has never steered you wrong before. Still, you have doubts about the situation but you don't voice them very loudly. You do try to get information from this new person but you don't get all that much because they seem to not only be innocent but dodging the question.

They remind you a lot of Somebody That You Used To Know but you can't think about that. You don't think about that. You try to hide it. But as the days pass by, you start to notice more and more that the things that this person knows are too close to home.

They know more than they should and as scary as that is supposed to be to you because if anyone knows you too deeply they could be destroyed, you find that you want to trust them. You feel like you can trust them with something that is secret. Even if you know that you should be biting your tongue. So, you do let a few things slip to them now and again but you don't regret it because it has been weighing on your mind for so long that you didn't even realize it was eating away at you.

You feel like they're a good addition to your little family. It seems like things are going to be okay even if there's a hacker that makes you want to rip your hair out. The hacker feels so familiar and yet so different from anyone that you've ever faced before. You kind of like the challenge that you've been given even though you should be taking this a lot more seriously than you are.

You have always appreciated a good battle of wits and this guy intrigues you in a way that nobody else ever has. You're interested in this, and even though MC says that he’s a good person who is being manipulated… You know that there's a lot more to it than that. It's a mystery that you want to focus on for the time being because it gives you something to do.

It's not easy to sell your soul to an agency where you have to do work that you're not exactly proud of. You don't like doing the work that is handed to you because you know that it could be going to people that are not your favorite. There's a lot of people in this world that are willing to pay for you to do all sorts of things. You avoid doing those things as long as you can because you don't want them to get their hands on what they need. You do what you have to do. But, you make sure that it's not easy for those people.

You feel like this is going to be the only distraction that you have to face. That is, until the day that you've been dreading finally comes. Your father has located bits of information that have let him directly to your location. This is a man that can control the country and everything inside of it. This is a man who has killed and gotten rid of people who have gotten close to revealing something that could ruin his image.

Your father is a bad man.

Your father is the reason that you have done what you have done. He is the kind of man that will make you do whatever it takes to get the bare minimum. You are happy for the little things that you have because they are the only things that you can have. However, this man has come and you know that he is not going to stop until you and your brother are dead. You are not safe and the people that know about you are not safe, either. This is not good.

You have spent your entire life trying to make sure that you are never close to this man's line of sight. You have sacrificed and given up every part of yourself to make sure that this never happened and here he is. He has found the way to find you and now you know that your brother isn't safe either. You don't give a damn that the man has found you and could kill you.

You care about the fact that your brother is now in danger. You know that if you leave the found family that you have created, they’ll be okay. You know that you can count on them to protect each other and you won't have to be afraid for them.

The target is on your back and as long as you run you won't have to worry about them. But you stay because you need to know for sure that your brother is okay. You need to know for sure that everything that you're doing is going to work out the way that it should. You hesitate to leave even though you should. It's going to hurt but you've done this before.  The unfortunate thing is that you had more time in the past to figure out how you wanted to leave.

You want to make things right with the hacker and MC, first. But it's becoming increasingly hard to do that. The longer that you linger, the more likely that people are going to get hurt. You are filled with complicated emotions about this situation because you are still a child even if you are grown, and you are so afraid but you have to be so brave.

So, you know that there are two people in this world that you could talk to about this. You don't go out of your way to talk about it with them but somehow your voice starts to say things that you know that it shouldn't when you start talking to MC. They remind you of him. They remind you of the way the world used to be. They remind you of the person that you are hidden underneath 7 masks.

For some reason, you find yourself admitting to things that you shouldn't. You know that it's the selfish part of you that wants to be remembered for the things that you've done but you would never admit it. Maybe, you just want somebody to know that there is somebody inside of you that isn't what he appears to be. Even if you get erased, maybe somebody deserves to know the truth.

MC is just connected enough and disconnected enough to the situation that you feel like you can admit these things. So, you find yourself admitting things that you never would in the past. It's because you know the end is coming but also because you know that you want someone to know. You want at least someone else to know the things that you're going through.

You could never say these things to your father figure.

You could never tell him the things that are weighing on your mind because of how much he already sacrificed to make sure that you could have this position. You know that he's already going through enough so you bite your tongue a lot when it comes to this. MC isn't like that. You can talk to them. It's almost natural and like you know them like the back of your hand.

So, you say those things. You say these things to them. You admit things to somebody that you know wouldn't understand. Secrets are heavy to carry on your shoulders. But you know that you can trust somebody that carries just as many Secrets as you do. So this is where you are, you say what needs to be said and then you leave before you say more that could put them in danger.

You are grateful that you can get this much off of your chest.

You have no way of knowing that after admitting these things to MC, it won't even be 24 hours later that your Father captures you. At the very least, at least somebody out there got to know that you existed and that you had a brother that you gave everything for.

Fingertips (Ray x m!reader)

Ray had been working himself to the bone. He was constantly worrying about the RFA converting his oh so special guest. The man he loathed so much seemed to be putting in extra effort at the moment. Usually, he’d laugh it off, but his mind was swarming with thoughts. He pressed the keys harder as he worked as if it’d have more impact that way. The dimly lit room was filled with a clattering. He brought his fingers to his lips again as he monitored the screens. His strained eyes darted across the screens. There was a metallic taste forming in his mouth and sharp stings in his fingertips. He glanced down at his hands surprised to see blood. He let out a low hiss of pain. Figures. He looked up at his monitors, nothing had changed yet. He could spare a moment. He wanted to let his guest know. The words alone even on a screen were a beautiful remedy.  He was magnetically drawn to the boy. He winced softly as he typed out his message.

“After talking to you, I saw that my hands were bleeding.”

“I was so stressed out because of that redhead, and I was biting my nails without realizing it.”

“I don’t think other Believers can give me the first-aid treatment on this..”

“What should I do? It hurts too bad…”

He’d have to blot at it with tissues and continue his work. He nodded at the idea until he got a reply. He picked the phone back up eagerly.

“Come to me. I will treat you.”

The reply made his heart flutter. Did he mean that? Maybe it was a joke. Even with that thought, he still believed it. The other hadn’t betrayed his trust thus far. He couldn’t stop the smile on his face as he replied. He’d stop by after seeing his savior. He pressed the phone close to his chest feeling his heart continue to flutter. He cherished the feeling. His light-colored eyes took note of an update on the monitors. The red-head was back at it. He could hardly feel the pain as he typed. It was gentler but faster than before. He had successfully outwitted him again and set up enough of a gap to have time for both the savior and...him. He could never dare admit it out loud but the thought of seeing him again filled the hacker with more joy than the presence of his savior did. 

In fact, the whole visit seemed to blur together. He wasn’t being spoken to much anyway. He was simply bearing witness to something. Once he was excused, he headed up the stairs. He raised his hand up slowly to knock. He didn’t understand why he was hesitating. Was there still a doubt? Perhaps guilt? He couldn’t be sure, but he knocked anyway. He, after all, had limited time. The soft voice inside sent a rush of excitement coursing through him.

“Y/n,” He hummed. The name felt nice on his tongue. 

“You really came.”

“Should I not have? I took your offer seriously, but I can-”

“Don’t be silly. Sit down,” The other boy spoke more firmly as he patted the spot beside him, but there was not a single trace of malice.

The white-haired boy did as told. He sat beside the other. The quiet boy took his hand. The feeling made his chest feel tight. His light-colored eyes observed as his hands were inspected. Bandages and some tube of cream was pulled out. One of the believers must have delivered it. The small act of kindness brought a smile to his face. He was going to speak, thank the other, say he’d make it up to him. Something like that. He was until his hands were brought closer to his guest’s lips. There was a small hesitance, and their eyes met.

“When I was younger, my mom would kiss wherever I got hurt. It’s silly, but it made it feel better. Would that be okay?” 

“I...Yes, it’s…” Ray couldn’t even begin to fathom what to say. It was as if his mind had short-circuited. The places where his skin was being touched felt as if it was burning now. He could have pulled away, in fact, he was going to despite his words. The burn was so intense he couldn’t tell if it hurts or if it was good. Once he felt the soft lips very softly, almost feather like, kiss them, he couldn’t move. The small kisses caused a cool wave to wash over him. He audibly sighed. He could swear he heard a chuckle, but he didn’t comment. Soon, the soft lips pulled away and the cream was carefully applied.

Ray’s eyes stayed glued to his lips. He was curious about how they’d feel on his own lips. He wanted to curse himself for thinking such things, but the lips turned to a smirk. He locked eyes again as his last finger was being bandaged. 

“Feel better?” The question rang in his head before he snapped to reality.

“Ah, yes, thank you!” Ray answered with a smile. “I should be going now. I wish I could stay longer, I promise to visit again soon.” 

He got up with those words not making eye contact. He’d have to focus his thoughts on the hacking. He was sure that his loathed opponent would be back. 

“Wait for a second, Ray?”

“Yes, Y/n?” 

“My lips hurt.”

“How should I...Oh,” He said softly as it clicked.

His heart raced at the idea of kissing him. He had been thinking about it, but to actually receive an invitation was another story. Was he even worthy of such a thing? He hadn’t been able to defeat his twin nor get the ceremony complete. He hadn’t even had much time to spend with his guest. That’s not to say Ray didn’t want to kiss him or at least try due to lack of experience, he felt himself take a step closer toward the now standing boy.

“You don’t have to,” He reassured.

“No, I...I want to,” Ray murmured, “It’s just…”

Ray cupped his face and brought it close to his. Was this really okay? Was he really allowed to have this? It felt so sacred getting to see Y/n this close. The way his e/c eyes shone in the pale lighting. He took in every little detail he could. He never wanted to forget this even if he didn’t feel worthy of such an opportunity. Watching the soft smile rise to the other’s face and his eyes fluttering closed, it gave him the courage to close the gap. Their lips met and Ray had never felt such euphoria. He thought his heart might burst. The Savior always had said the heart fluttering moments were rare and he should cherish them all. He was, of course, cherishing them, but why was it so often with Y/n? He couldn’t understand, was this not right? It had to be if it felt like this. His skin felt too hot again, much more than he could bear. He pulled away first. 

“That was even lovelier than I had imagined,” Y/n whispered pressing his fingertips to his lips before making eye contact again. “Consider me healed! Thank you, Ray!”

Than he had imagined? He too thought about them kissing? That gave him a wave of relief that soothed the burns. Despite knowing there never was an injury, it made him feel proud to know he had helped in some way. He wanted to stay longer. Maybe try again to build a tolerance to the heat.

“Y/n, I want to stay longer. Prove to you I’m worthy of these affections,” Ray began feeling regret already building.

“You are more than worthy. Good luck, okay? Don’t overwork yourself,” He replied just as sweetly as he always was. “I’ll get to see you later. Maybe another walk in the gardens?”

“Of course! Anything,” He agreed quickly. “Goodbye, Y/n.”

He took his leave and walked immediately back to his room where he did his work. He sat in the chair and melted into it. His bandaged fingertips brushed gently against his lips that still tingled ever so slightly.

Day 8 of the ray route

I'm on the 10th day of Jaehee's route, basically finishing it since it's almost 7pm and whoo boy

I've done all casual and deep story routes and gotta say, Jaehee and 7's route are the best ones (not including V's and Ray's since i just got enough of hourglasses for them which YES FINALLY)

•The order in which I've completed stories: Yoosung -> Seven -> Jumin -> Zen -> Jaehee

Spoilers ahead:

A lot of things got revealed here.

V lied about Rika's suicide. Baehee has had a rough past. She and Zen make great friends, no actual romantic feelings involved which is good for those that got triggered in Zen's route. Jumin is an actual fucking sociopath and the only time he was an actual decent human being was by the end of Zen's route. I have mixed feelings towards Zen: to a woman, he's truly a darling. However, i kinda dislike how he reacted when Yoosung wanted to check up on him when he broke his leg just cuz he's a guy. But still, he did go to Yoosung when the little fella hit the rock bottom and took care of him while he was drunk. With Zen it's kinda a hit or miss (but you never really miss, as the song would say), depending on my mood.

It's sad that bc Korea is LGBT+ sensitive, we can't get a fully romantic route with Jae, even tho her and MC are definitely acting like a couple, they call it "best friends".

I love the character development she gets. The best one hands down so far. She's also finally getting along with Seven. What i didn't like about her wasn't all the nagging about not dating Zen as much as her disregarding Seven and his load of work, even though they know he's a hacker and (obviously) a one in demand since he's paid well. And i think it's known he works for a secret agency in general and that it's not just revealed in his route (i may be incorrect) which makes it even worse. But oh well.. It got better in her route. Also, in Jaehee's route i feel like MC got integrated into RFA the best. I really liked it when during a call with Zen, he mentions how well him, Jae and MC get along, which is true. MC's appearance had the biggest impact on the group as a whole there, since Bae relaxed and showed character, everyone's getting along except Jumin, who's a spoiled brat, AND V ACTUALLY DID SHIT. HE DIDN'T GO AWOL. That's always a plus. He did help in Jumin's route as well, but this one is kinda more direct.

Jaehee's phone calls and massages made me really soft. Besides Seven, she has the healthiest relationship with MC.

These are some of the examples. Very wholesome and very romantic. I've truly enjoyed this story, but I'm happy for them.

I just need to wait till tonight to see what happens with NEVER DROVE IN MY LIFE SO I'LL STEAL SEVEN'S MOST EXPENSIVE SPORT CAR AND DEMOLISH IT MR TRUST FUND KID JUMIN FUXKING HAN

This is day 9 i belive and there was a wall break right from the start as well! It was very funny, but Seven is as sweet as always.

That's about it. Finally finishing this and tomorrow is the party and at 12am I'll begin Another story, starting with Ray. I'm really excited 🎉

I Will Return

I Wrote this so long ago, so here you go my first post on this account is my favorite Oneshot I had written in the Mystic Messenger Fandom. I hope you like it    =^.^=

I really didn't want to leave without Ray but with the state V was in made me worry about not just him but Seven as well, there was no way that Seven would be able to carry V by himself let alone care for him along the drive. For the rest of the night in the safe house that Seven had brought us to I couldn't help feeling as though I had betrayed Ray, I had promised that I would never leave him never betray him and here I am with the RFA instead of him. When we first arrived at Seven's Safe house he introduced me to a tall man with long brown hair named Vanderwood, and since arriving Vanderwood has been great company.

Vanderwood spent quite a while helping V get better, he somehow knew that I was feeling down and while treating the sick V he did his best to cheer me up with small talk. "So I know that it may be a bit of a touchy subject, but what was that Mint Eye place even like?" I looked up at Vanderwood as I sat in the chair beside V's bed as I thought of the time I spent with Ray "Well it was different, but not all bad. The time I spent with Ray, the hacker there, was always nice and made me feel happy....I just wish that I could have taken him with us, though I doubt he would want to." Vanderwood looked at me a little puzzled by my words, then it hit him "So you have feelings for him do you."

With those words he finished up with V and left to start the task Seven had asked him to do, but I couldn't help but think 'is it that obvious? Or is Vanderwood just that good at reading me?' I couldn't sleep at all that night, I have such bad nightmares but when I was with Ray it was like they had completely disappeared.

The next morning I received a call from Ray, and it broke my heart hearing him cry and beg for me to return to him. Nobody could ever understand how I just wanted to go to him in that moment, but what was happening in Mint Eye was wrong and he was being used by Rikka to fulfill her sick idea of paradise. I couldn't say a word as he spoke to me with such a sad voice, it was all I could do just to prevent myself from breaking down into tears in that moment. I know he would only hurt more if he knew how much it hurt me to have left him there in that horrid place alone, but maybe soon I could convince him to leave that place and come with me.

Ray hung up before I could even say a word to him, and for the rest of the day I was hoping that he would call me back so that I could talk to him, maybe convince him of the wrongs Mint Eye was doing and get him out of there... But he never called back, I couldn't hear his sweet voice again for the whole day.

As I sat beside V in his bed I thought only of Ray, I hadn't even noticed that Vanderwood had come into the room I was so lost in thought. "Hey, would you like to join me outside for a bit of fresh air?" Vanderwood offered in a kind voice, all I did was nod in agreement as I stood and followed him out onto the porch. Once outside Vanderwood lit himself a cigarette and took a long drag from it "Do you want one?" it had been a few months since I quit but at the moment one didn't sound half bad "Yeah, thank you Vanderwood." he carefully bent down to where I was  sitting on the porch steps and lit my cigarette.

We sat there quiet for a short time before Vanderwood spoke up "You know Seven seems pretty worried about you right now, and frankly so am I.... I do realize that you left someone you care for so deeply in a bad place, but a beautiful young lady such as yourself should not be as sad as you are for too long." he spoke calmly as he did his best to make me feel better, but I couldn't help but think that perhaps he knows how I feel right now. "Vanderwood, Have you ever been in my situation?" He let out a quiet sigh and closed his eyes as if to remember something important. "Yes I have, a long time ago...Though it didn't end too well." That was all he said on the matter and I didn't wish to push the subject that was obviously painful for him.

Once more it was quiet between us as we looked out at the stars, but once again Vanderwood broke that silence. "You know it is not good to hold in your feelings, you could always talk to me if you want. You never know it might help you decide what you need to do next." How was it that this man I had only known for just two days be so kind to me? It's not that I hated it but somehow he made me feel safe, as though I was talking with my own brother. I know it's impossible I haven't seen or heard from my brother since that day he left so long ago, but Vanderwood reminded me so much of the brother who left me so long ago.

I can't help but feel safe here with Vanderwood and I can't help the words as they slowly escape from my lips "Why.... Why do I regret my decision so much? I care for my friends but still, why did we have to leave without him?" I could not stop the tears that threatened to fall from my eyes as they slowly cascade down my cheeks. "H-He needed to be saved from that place too..." I was torn in two as I cared so much for my friends, but I also cared for Ray just as much if not more. "Why! Why did we have to leave the man I love Behind!" realizing that I was now yelling I stopped to calm myself before speaking again "...he, he needs the most help."

As I cried into the palms of my hands I was suddenly pulled into a warm hug, Vanderwood had sat next to me while I was talking and I didn't even notice. "It's okay MC, I promise that we will go back for him...Even if I have to go myself." His words were firm but gentle, I lay my head on his chest and cried until I fell asleep in his arms.

I was back in my room at Mint Eye with Ray as he held me against his chest lovingly, and it felt so nice to be with him again. I hadn't realized just how much I missed him until I looked into his beautiful mint green eyes, his grip on me tightened as I lay my head back onto his chest...But it all changed as his grip grew tighter and tighter as his body shook as though he was crying, his hold on me got tighter and tighter until it was becoming hard for me to breath "R-Ray...I...I can't" my words were immediately cut off by the terrifying laughter that erupted from Ray's mouth as it echoed through the room.

Tears began to fill my eyes as I struggled to get free from the man holding me, this was definitely not Ray even if he looked like him. "R-Ray...It...Hurts." The man immediately stopped laughing as he looked straight into my eyes, and in the most chilling voice that almost sounded like Ray he said "Ray? I am not Ray, I am...."

I jolt awake tears streaming down my face and am met by the worried face of Vanderwood who was sitting on the floor beside the couch I was laying on, I couldn't help it as my body moved on its own, and Vanderwood was right there, and I was just so scared. I had jumped into Vanderwood's arms and began crying hysterically onto his shoulder, to my surprise he began to stroke my hair gently as he sang a song that my older brother used to sing to me when I was feeling down.

Vanderwood POV

After all those years I had spent running from the past I had never lost sight of her, even though as an agent I was not aloud to have any family ties my sister was the only thing I cared for. How could I not keep an eye on her after leaving her alone with our dying mother, but all this time I was working as an agent, saving all my money, enduring Seven's nonsense, all so that one day I could quit and go back to her.

Maybe when this is all over I can finally tell her, and maybe quite the agency so that I can be there for her like I never was in the past. I wonder, would it be okay for me to live a normal life with my little sister after all I have done?

Your POV

It didn't take long for me to calm down after Vanderwood had finished singing to me, but there was just one thing I couldn't get out of my head "Are...Are you....Edward?" His eyes grew wide at my sudden question before he slowly closed his eyes and smiled softly "I haven't been called that name in such a long time...Of course I couldn't hide who I really was from my younger sister." tears began to fill my eyes once more, but this time they were tears full of happiness "Edward, I-I missed you so much"

After a few moments crying into my older brother's arms, I moved away from him to give him a bit of space "I'm sorry brother, after all this time away from each other. I imagine it's not a pleasant sight to see me like this." He quietly shushed me and motioned for us to step outside, I had nearly forgotten that he was a secret agent working under a code name with Seven all this time. We made our way back out to the porch and he began to talk in a low voice "You know, I have been keeping an eye on you since the day I left. I have dreamed of the day we could be reunited, and I wouldn't change a single thing about this moment. I am simply happy that you are here." though I was feeling very happy to finally be back with my brother, I was also still so depressed thinking about Ray.

It was like he had read my mind in that moment "I know you miss Ray, but I will keep my promise to you. No matter what it takes I will save him from that place, if that would put that lovely smile back on your face I will do anything to make it happen." I know I am crying a lot but I can't help it my brother has returned to me and soon we will go to save Ray from Mint Eye, I trust  in my brother and I will believe him when he says he will save Ray.

I was able to go back to sleep without nightmares this time, and when I woke in the morning V was doing much better and I could hear my brother and Seven talking about something quietly in the room they were using for their computers.

"Seven I have a favor to ask of you, but I don't want you asking me a million questions when I am finished, I just want a simple answer. Got it." My brother seemed to be asking Seven something rather important, I wonder what it might be "Umm, Yeah sure thing. What can this lovely hacking god do for you miss Vanderwood?" I couldn't help but laugh at the way Seven treated my older brother, but I kept quiet so that I could figure out what was going on. "Okay I want you to go with me to save that Hacker from Mint Eye..." there was a long moment of silence as I imagined Seven thinking intently on what could be on my brother's mind, but then the door was suddenly opened revealing Edward and Seven looking rather disappointed in the fact that I was eavesdropping on their conversation.

"What exactly is it you think you are doing there MC?" my brother did not look too happy with me as he asked that question, but saving Ray was my decision so I should have a right to be a part of this conversation. Regaining my confidence I carefully and calmly spoke up "I want to be a part of this conversation if it involves going back to save Ray, it was me who left him there and I  will be going back to get him too."

Seven looked scared of what my brother might do to me for listening in on their conversation, but he didn't know of our relationship so Edward's words caught him off guard "No it is too dangerous for you to go back, I don't want to put you in harm's way." you could almost hear Seven's jaw hit the floor hearing the almighty Vanderwood sounding so kind, it was all I could do not to laugh at him. "V-Vanderwood...Did you just, show concern for another human being?!?" Edward simply ignored Seven as he continued looking at me sternly trying to get me to accept what he said without words, but I was not about to give in. I returned his stare never wavering, my conviction was strong. There is no way I would let them go to save Ray without me.

As if realizing that I would not be changing my mind my brother finally gave in "Fine, but you will be accompanied by me and have a walkie-talkie on you the whole time for emergencies. Got it?" I smiled happily as I shook my head in agreement happy that I had managed to stand my ground. Seven was still standing there looking more confused than he had earlier "What the hell is going on here?!?" Edward sighed loudly as he turned to Seven "Might as well tell you the truth so you know not to mess with MC"

After Edward finished explaining everything to Seven the redhead had a million questions that my brother obviously didn't want to answer so I did most the answering "Wait wait wait, so you have a sister Vanderwood? And she is MC? Also your real name is Edward?" me and my brother simply nod in agreement "And you joined the agency to save money for her?" once again Edward shook his head "okay okay one more question, and this one is for MC...You are in love with the hacker in Mint Eye?!?" I looked at him surprised that that was the only question he had for me "Yes I am, and his name is Ray." Seven looked at the two of us for a moment as the thought deeply to himself.

After a bit of silence he suddenly spoke up in his usual cheerful tone "Okay I will help, and seeing as you both trusted me with such delicate information I may as well share with you both my real name." he paused for a moment for what I could only assume by what I knew about Seven was for dramatic effect "My real name is, Drum roll please. badum badum badum, Saeyoung" though he sounded happy his eyes were filled with sadness as though his mind wandered somewhere dark at the mention of his own name. "Well then shall we discuss the plan to save MC's princess Ray?"

A few days later after we had brought V to a hospital we made our way to Mint Eye, Seven stayed in the car as me and Edward went in. We had made our way to Ray's room without seeing a single person which was very peculiar, I stopped Edward before he could open the door to Ray's room "Brother would you mind if I went in to see Ray alone for a bit, I have the walkie, and you will be right outside the door...so could you please give me a moment?" as if he understood where I was coming from and shook his head in agreement, I smiled weakly to him before I turned and walked into Ray's room.

I slowly closed the door behind me as I spotted Ray over by his computers setting up what looked like a bomb? "R-Ray?" I had tried to keep my voice steady, but seeing Ray after so long I couldn't hide my emotions. "W-What are you doing over there....I...I came back for you Ray." Slowly he turned to look at me tears began to fill his eyes as he realized that it was me calling to him "MC...I thought...You were never going to..." I quickly ran to him not caring about the bomb he had been messing with seconds ago, the second I reached him I held him tightly as though it was the last time I would get the chance. "Ray I will always return to you...I promise."

I could feel Ray's body shake as he cried silently, soon he raised his arms and embraced me tightly. His embrace was completely different from what I experienced in my nightmare, this was  filled with love and happiness. "I-I thought that...Nobody needed me anymore..." my heart stung at the words leaving his mouth "My Savior told me...That Mint Eye was over...That we should, find out own happiness...But you...You are my happiness MC." I couldn't stop my tears I was happy to be hearing this but also saddened because "I thought...You were never going to come back...so I...I was planning to die here today...so that you could be happy forever..." Ray thought I would be happy with him gone.

How could I do this to him, just from leaving him for those few days he had managed to convince himself that he was only a burden to me. "Ray, How could I ever be happy in a world...without the man I love." Ray immediately stopped crying as he looked down into my eyes "D-Did you just...Say you...Love me?" I smiled happily as I answered "Of Course I love you silly, how could I not. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me." Ray looked completely shocked, but as he was going to say something he remembered the bomb "Shit, MC we need to leave here immediately. That bomb will go off in Thirty minutes, and we should get to a safe distance before that." I nod in agreement and as we made our way to the door I explained to him that my older brother was waiting outside for us, he looked confused at first but decided to save his questions for when we were safe.

Once we reached Saeyoung's car there was an uncomfortable tension between Ray and the redhead, then I noticed something I hadn't before "Saeyoung? Why is it that...You and Ray look so similar?" Before either men could answer my question the Mint Eye building started to blow up, small pieces of debris came flying over to where we were standing I closed my eyes to keep the dust out of my eye and when I opened them I was met by the sight of beautiful mint green eyes looking back at me. "T-Thank you R-Ray." I was being held firmly against his chest and it wouldn't be so embarrassing, if not for the fact that my older brother was looking directly at the two of us.

I quickly separated myself from Ray and attempted to draw the attention away from Ray and I "Sooo, Saeyoung about the fact that you and Ray look alike." the two men looked at on another with two different looks in their eye's, Saeyoung looking sad and confused and Ray looking more angry than anything else. "MC, Saeyoung is my twin brother...I colored my hair and eyes to make myself look less like that traitor." Now I was confused, I knew that Ray did not like Saeyoung but what made him a traitor? "S-Saeran...I..." Saeyoung finally spoke but the name he used for Ray was new to me. "Don't Call Me That!!" Ray sounded madder than he had when he spoke Saeyoung's name, is Saeran not his real name? "Um? Ray I'm very confused right now."

Ray sighed in attempt to release the anger he felt before he looked me in the eyes and began explaining that Saeran was the name of the other guy, and the way he made it sound Saeran was also a part of him meaning Ray had two different personalities. After he explained that Ray went on to explain his hatred for Saeyoung, how he had been abandoned with his abusive mother by his brother who promised to protect him. I couldn't help but feel sad for Ray or Saeran, but it felt as though this was the same story as mine and my brother Edward's and so I took Ray away from the Crying Saeyoung and my brother who was trying to calm him down.

"Ray I know you aren't going to like what I have to say, but I want you to listen to me and think about what I have to say." he relaxed as he took hold of my hands and shook his head in agreement. "Okay, so from what you have told me and from what Saeyoung was saying. It seems that Saeyoung did the same exact thing my older brother did with me, but we are both handling the situation differently. You see a long time ago when I was just a little girl my mother was dying from an illness, and around that time my brother left me...my brother promised that he would always protect me, and when he left and never returned...well at first I thought that he had abandoned me, but then I realized that he would never break his promise to me. And so I continued to have faith that he would come back some day, and a few days ago he did."

Ray listened intently to what I had to say, he never made a single noise and even held my hands tighter as I talked of my mother and of being left alone. "Saeran, the difference between our stories is that I went on with life believing in my brother, were you were instead told to hate him for abandoning you. But I bet if you think about it hard enough you will see, your brother was doing the best he could to protect you the only way he could at the time." Though I know he had objections he never said a word not even when I finished, he took in everything I said and then finally he spoke "You are completely Right MC, but it is so hard to forgive him for leaving me alone...but you are right I can't picture him breaking a promise..."

I smiled at him before we both looked over to our two brothers who were still preoccupied "well then how about we think about it like this...If they had never left us, we probably would have never met in the first place." Saeran laughed at my comment "I assume that means that you are also having difficulty forgiving your brother." smiling I kissed him on the cheek "how could I when I had to suffer for all those years...but I can't deny that I still love him with all my heart." the two of us smiled as we held each other tightly, and continued to watch our brothers argue about random things that somehow became Saeyoung's topic to cry over.
