I fucking forgot to put Maddie on the damn bracket lmfao, so we have a last minute match-up before we can move on to round 2.

Gwaine Hinata (Any Publicity Is Good Publicity)

Gwaine is a leftist career politician. He ran and was elected on socialist ideals, but has met his opponents in the middle too many times and is now basically just coasting along on the familiarity vote. He's jaded, no longer the idealist he once was, but even more than that he is so. unbelievably. bored. So when he starts getting asked by the press about a song that was recently released dissing him and that has become an overnight sensation in his home state, Gwaine decides he wants to go see it performed and meet the artist. The artist in question, Asher Adam, frontman of the punk duo ION, sees him in the audience and gets off stage only to perform the song directly to Gwaine while standing on his table. Well, Gwaine maybe sort of falls in love with the guy - and everything he represents - and starts bending over backwards to please him, including making a return to the more radical politics of his youth.

This, of course, gets her murdered. But she may or may not figure out how to walk that off, if only so her killer can't get away with it.

Hinata crouches next to Nezumi, a neat row of mechanic tools spread across a piece of canvas in her lap.  He’s working diligently to keep his motorbike in tip-top shape and, Hinata being the lover of learning that she is, asked about the process.  She was delighted when he included her in the actual process by having her hold onto the tools she’d just learned about.  Every so often, Nezumi would request a different tool and she would hand it over before cleaning the tool he’d traded her with.  

Hinata absentmindedly rubs a socket wrench with the canvas cloth as he works.  “I’ve had several bicycles before.”  She pipes up over the sounds of tools clinking together. “But never a motorbike.”  A small smile of amusement appears on her lips. “I didn’t— I never thought I looked cool enough to own one, so I never really considered it, eheh. .” 

Nezumi fit the bill when it came to the “cool” look.  Long hair, leathers, heavy-duty boots, the stoic expression. Oh, yes, Nezumi was definitely cool.  It is now that Hinata realizes that she’s been staring at his features and her cheeks bloom red like roses.  She’s relieved that he is focused on his bike and not her, but she knows he probably felt her eyes on him.  

She clears her throat.  “U-Umm, anyway. . “ If she wasn’t holding tools, she would definitely be wringing her wrists. “Thanks for letting me help.  You, umm, didn’t have to.”

I love all your hinas but my favorite is A Cure for Love hina 🥹. I like how clueless she is about why everybody wants to m*rder her because it makes her all the more cute and bunniful 🥹.

Omg yessss, ACFL!Hinata is so cute and adorable and badass witchy power but poor little Hinabun is so misunderstood. She so freaking cute but also public enemy number one in the world of Naturals, lol. She's so sweet and yet they'd happily murder her if they could XD

I'm actually working on this fic now, I just been in the mood to be supernaturally creative. I honestly really love the world in ACFL, its a ton of fun to just be able to make stuff up and go crazy with my favorite characters <3

The thing is, I don't have any of the skills (or personality in many cases lmao) to maintain any of the characters' lifestyles that I'd like. Milo, Jordan, and Gwaine, for example, my first three initial thoughts. But I couldn't live Milo's life even with his biological advantages because I don't know how to rob banks. And I couldn't live Jordan's life because I don't play any of his instruments and I get stage fright. And I couldn't live Gwaine's life because I cannot and do not care to be diplomatic lmao. Mason could be a good option, except I don't want kids... Etc.

I guess I'll settle on Toots Tosetti for a character whose place I'd like to take. I still don't know how to effectively steal, but the combination of Toots's powers and the fact that her targets are almost always residential would probably give me enough of a margin for error to learn!

The characters whose lives I'd hate the most is a much easier question. That terrible honor falls to Ken and Eddie.
