Nothing is as cliché as kissing in the rain, but heck. It still works. So, why not? 😁

Sidenote:

On the murder mystery side, I guess the reason why the the sixth (Wisut's gf) and seventh (Run's mum) cases were missing on the file is because that's where the bastard cops started fabricating evidence to solve the case. I don't think they did it to protect the real murderer, but rather to make it appear that they have solved the case and earn a promotion.

I also see some theories that maybe Kawin (or Tin) is the real killer. But unless I'm assuming their ages wrong for this series, I don't think he is old enough to commit the first murder. Remember, the last murder happened 18 years ago so unless all the murders happened within a year, the timeline is too tight. I'm guessing both Tin and Kawin were tweens when the last murder took place.

And a rich boy with violent tendencies and connections to multiple victims.

Will one be an easier scapegoat than Wisut?

Or are they really murder husbands?

Because it's very strange that Win would post that he was at Tin's, only to kidnap both Tin and Run (thinking it was Tul).

Because that means he would have no alibi if something happened, no?

Episode 5 of Petrichor really highlights the couple dynamic between Ran and Tul, and I love it, especially because this time Ran is the one to take the first step and comfort Tul.

Honestly, I really want to know who the Raincoat Killer is—I have absolutely no idea who it could be at this point.

We finally got some progress in Jiu and May’s relationship, though I wish it had been less bloody. The final scene with May crying was absolutely heartbreaking.

I really love the trio of May, Jiu, and Phu. Their scenes bring a more chill and relaxed vibe to the series.

Even though, let’s face it, the show is kind of police propaganda, I appreciate how corruption, ego, and misogyny are truly integral parts of the storyline.

And poor Wisut… he deserved so much better.

Current clown car theory for Petrichor - it's a group of men. If Win (and possibly Tin, though that's undetermined as yet) are involved, and they are supposed to be close in age to their actors, they would have only been 12 & 13 at the time of the original murders. Even if they're supposed to be a bit older, it's a hard sell that they would have been able to operate alone.

But, we clearly have a stage set of powerful men who don't hesitate to use violence when it suits them. Who see women with integrity as obstacles who need to get in line. Why does Big Tech always go for a scapegoat instead of remotely trying to solve the case? Even Phichet was suggesting they do the bare minimum of holding the police who killed Wisut accountable and not just immediately scapegoating someone else, and BT refused. Why? Unless BT knows exactly who is responsible, because it's the same men who lifted him to power for the very reason he would do whatever required to protect them. Men like Artit might not do the killing themselves but use the group as a way to get rid of women who are interfering with what they want (or in the case of the prostitutes, know things that are dangerous to the powerful).

I'm ready to be completely wrong, we do still have four episodes left. But this show is doing a lot of convincing setup around men who protect other men over the lives and safety of women.
