Nothing is as cliché as kissing in the rain, but heck. It still works. So, why not? 😁

Sidenote:

On the murder mystery side, I guess the reason why the the sixth (Wisut's gf) and seventh (Run's mum) cases were missing on the file is because that's where the bastard cops started fabricating evidence to solve the case. I don't think they did it to protect the real murderer, but rather to make it appear that they have solved the case and earn a promotion.

I also see some theories that maybe Kawin (or Tin) is the real killer. But unless I'm assuming their ages wrong for this series, I don't think he is old enough to commit the first murder. Remember, the last murder happened 18 years ago so unless all the murders happened within a year, the timeline is too tight. I'm guessing both Tin and Kawin were tweens when the last murder took place.

I am fully on board after today's episode. One of them is being a little obvious.

Big Tech said he hasn't seen his kid (not kids) in over ten years, but even if it's kids, <-plural, what is "over ten years"? Perhaps eighteen?

And Win is super rich, so he can afford those expensive shoes unlike Wisut who wore off-brand.

A baker with a powerful dad and surprising aggression.

And a rich boy with violent tendencies and connections to multiple victims.

Will one be an easier scapegoat than Wisut?

Or are they really murder husbands?

Because it's very strange that Win would post that he was at Tin's, only to kidnap both Tin and Run (thinking it was Tul).

Because that means he would have no alibi if something happened, no?

Tin, where are you at, babe?

Are you really tied up or are you trying to tie up loose ends?

Given what we learn in episode 7 here's what I think the show will use as the full explanation for why Tin is the raindrop killer.

Due to his obvious misogyny Tin sees sex work as lowly and thinks all sex workers are disgusting. He hated the fact that his mom was a sex worker and the fact that it somehow contributed to her leaving him. He has lots of pent up anger over his parents abandoning him and forcing him to become a single dad at age 16? Maybe 18.

He uses those women as a proxy for his mother. By killing them he is able to express all the anger and resentment he has towards her. He also mentions how big and powerful it makes him feel to hear them beg for their lives. I'd imagine that's a major high for a boy who was powerless for his entire life.

I havent seen anyone talk about how the show heavily implied the reason why Tin only kills on rainy days is because he'd always have to comfort baby Tul when she got scared due to the mom working. I'm waiting for Tul to connect those dots because that will be devastating for her and it will make for some great tv.

I have seen some people loop his sexuality into all of this and while he is definitely gay I dont think that plays as big of a part in this as everything else. Also he only blames the mom because he's a misogynist. The man gets off on killing innocent women this should not be shocking.

As for why he killed Kawin. I think its because Kawin started up the killings again. I believe they were partners at some point and they quit after Wisut was convicted and Kawin moved away. When he came back I think Kawin wanted to start up again and Tin said no. Then the copycat came out and Kawin did it anyways but this time he broke the pattern. Tin didnt mind because he is crazy but then he saw how it started impacting his sister and that's when he got weary of him.

I think the final straw was Kawin knocking out Run. Kawin knows Run is directly tied to Tul and them taking her makes things far more risky. They probably argued and then Tin snapped. There are many holes in this theory but I think it will atleast be partially true. Likely the part about them being partners.

Episode 5 of Petrichor really highlights the couple dynamic between Ran and Tul, and I love it, especially because this time Ran is the one to take the first step and comfort Tul.

Honestly, I really want to know who the Raincoat Killer is—I have absolutely no idea who it could be at this point.

We finally got some progress in Jiu and May’s relationship, though I wish it had been less bloody. The final scene with May crying was absolutely heartbreaking.

I really love the trio of May, Jiu, and Phu. Their scenes bring a more chill and relaxed vibe to the series.

Even though, let’s face it, the show is kind of police propaganda, I appreciate how corruption, ego, and misogyny are truly integral parts of the storyline.

And poor Wisut… he deserved so much better.
