But it doesn't grow as fast... 😂😂🙈💕 Day 2 of #wipaholicsanonymous from @ohforhookssake and @lottieandalbert is "oldest WIP"... 🙈🙈💕 This VERY SIMPLE AND VERY QUICK for knitting 🙈 knitted project has been on the go since 1st we moved in with Mum to save for @mrbrightsidenarrowboat ... 18 months!! 😱😱😱 I have no excuse... 🙃 it's not complicated, it's on 15mm needles with mostly chunky or multi-stranded yarn... 🙈💕 That little bit on the needle is all I have done this year of the second panel. Day 6 of #wipaholicsanonymous is #bestexcuse My best excuse is NO excuse. I knit, crochet and dye because I have to. Some people chain smoke, I chain knit. Before weaving in the ends of these Lady Stardust Socks that I finished yesterday, I immediately cast on another pair of socks. Maybe my best excuse is actually that my needles were naked and I had to fix that. ;) What about you? Why do you craft? Today is the final day of #wipaholicsanonymous. The theme? #AllTheWIPs. The eight pictures here are all mine in various stages (barely started ---> a few ends to sew in). I really really like starting projects, but seem to have a problem finishing things. If you wanna know anything, just comment! :D (And yes, the top picture is my, "I love @magpie_and_goblin!" picture. A #nordictankdress, a #clusterfucksock and a #heartsock. I say one of each #sock as I'm a slow #crocheter and have only got one sock of each started.) I have 20+ projects here. Day 4 of #wipaholicsanonymous is #subscription I don't (and never have) subscribed to any craft-related periodicals (though my mother subscribes to ALL of them so I should get a free pass). However I have a couple of cherished publications, including the 25th anniversary issue of Vogue Knitting ;(truly an awesome collection) and some Rowan and a few other (mostly Interweave) magazines that's I simply cannot part with. My latest magazine craze is to buy a knitting or crochet magazine in non-English languages. I've got German, Italian and Japanese. I need more!! Okay, what about you? Any magazines to recommend? For Decoration, let me show you one of my favourite makes that still gets used two years later - a #CaptainAmerica inspired lap thing. I made it for my friend's eldest and it stays at the bottom of his bed, and he loves it. Addiction. This picture has three of them (four?) - #crochet, #merino #yarn, @magpie_and_goblin patterns (they are written so well) and #TriskelionYarn. (Huh, it was four.) Crochet keeps me chill and I feel antsy without a hook and some yarn. Merino yarn is just heavenly to work with. Triskelion Yarn dye some gorgeous wool (and it's kinda local to where I live - support local businesses, people) and yeah, I've already mentioned the patterns. They're written clearly and yeah. Love all these to the point I'd probs go into debt for any one of them. (And now I'm gonna try watching #YGwyll - that's #Hinterland for you who don't speak the language of Heaven. So nice seeing #Aberystwyth and it's scenery!) #wipaholicsanonymous

And (almost belatedly) day 11 of #wipaholicsanonymous - library. I've been remiss and not gone around the house collecting up my books/mags/random print outs but this book stays with me almost all the time. It stays in my wip bag, and if I get bored/stuck I have a flick through it. If mam hadn't have bought it, I wouldn't be as obsessed with yarny crafts as I am now. (Yes, I'm saying my love of #crochet is all from my mother. 😆) Also, my Ravelry library is slowly being filled up by the awesome patterns that are available. (I'm always open to friends anywhere, so add me on Rav if you wanna - I'm tinknevertalks there too.) I might need to either purge or add to it. Meh. #LibrariesRock

Slowly coming towards the end of our shared jorney with #wipaholicsanonymous. Today I'm showing you my #stash. The drawers are full of #yarn, all of different materials and weights. The balled yarns are a mix of @trulyhooked, @devonsunyarns (poss not see able here but it's there), #TriskelionYarn, #EdenCottageYarns, #Araucania and @westyorkshirespinners. In the #Sainsburys bag are the remnants of yarn used for Christmas gifts (#ChristmasIsOnlySoFarAway if you wanna see some). The box has a mix of #acrylic, #wool and #cotton (including the cotton to make doilies), as well as some magazines. The #StarWars bag has a few wips and maybe some more yarn... The black material by the box is my #STARLabs bag which has #socks being worked on (literally the toe of two socks of two different patterns that I work on when I want something small). Not pictured - the second box (upstairs), the bags that hold different blankets and the bag for @deltadasher's #HeidiBears #stegosaurus. Day 9. Distance. My day to day job is being a #privatehire #driver (which is a different kind of driver to a #taxi driver but I'm lazy so normally call myself a taxi driver, but whatevs, I'm meandering away from the point 😆) so I try and buy wool anytime I go somewhere that's a distance away from little #Lampeter - it doesn't always work. The #speckled yarn is a #HedgehogFibres #dk in #Typewriter (I love love love this colourway and wish I could buy more but have to be sensible) that I bought from @ayarnstory in #Bath, which is over 120 miles away. It worked up so nicely into a #Virusshawl (which still needs it's ends woven in like two years later - I'm lazy and work full time). So that's the furthest I've travelled. Did try to get yarn in #Chester last summer but Charlie did not want to go out and cried from about the minute we started sightseeing in the cathedral until we got back to the bed and breakfast. Awkward child (who I love to the bones of her). Can't think of the furthest away my yarn has come from... Oh! London! Think that's where @rainbow_cloud_5 is vaguely based. :) Right, now it's time to shower (used Aussie Colour Mate dry shampoo yesterday and regretted it almost instantly - #batisseftw) then go visiting in this gorgeous weather!
