My tips for other magical girls !!

Cw English is not my first language

♡ Make a diy wand or buy a toy one! Use it as an accessory, keychain or simply wear it around with you

♡ Are you the type who uses an object to transform? decorate your object or create it! this is similar to the wand diy

♡ Outfits! If you're fictionkin, make your outfits inspired on your kin, you can also use things like fluffy skirts, bows, lace and cute jewerly

♡ This is too basic, but make a playlist, believe me, it can help

♡ Merch from media with magical girls, buy or diy merch from media like sailor moon, sakura cardcaptor, even from stuff like star vs the forces of evil, winxs club, etc.

♡ This is super specific but those little backpacks with wings on them(??? Idk

♡ If you can, dye/cut/style your hair the same as the character you kin or in a way that makes you feel connected to the kin

♡ cute room decor, use pastel colors and kawaii themed things, search for cutecore room inspo or bedrooms of certain magical girl animes on pinterest(btw i don't like the term cutecore)

Pros in con Summary: Trixie and Calvin spend a day at an anime convention when some slight trouble happens.

Calvin checked his watch impatiently. He'd begun to do so with increasing frequency, but he couldn't help it. In only a scant few hours, Townsville’s Animenia Con would begin, and he needed to be at the convention center with his schedule in tow.

He'd done everything he could the night before to make the day went as smooth as possible: he'd loaded up all his stuff in his backpack, he'd conducted an exhaustive costume check with paris so as to ensure that his cosplay was accurate, and he'd prepared and carefully budgeted his money so to could get his merch from his favorite artists.

Calvin resisted the urge to check his watch again, and instead chose to pace about the living room, hoping that the physical activity would provide some level of distraction. He came across his reflection, and, in a brief moment of pride, allowed himself a moment to admire his reflection.

Staring back at him was the spitting image of Alucard, as seen in Hellsing ultimate. Albeit, blacker, younger, fatter, and all around… lesser, than the real McCoy. But so great was his mother skill with sewing, that for a moment, he could almost allow himself to believe that he was staring at Alucard. As soon as all this convention stuff was over, he was absolutely going to do something to thank her for all her hard work.

Again, the urge to check his watch passed through him, but mercifully, just as he was about to give into the temptation, salvation arrived in the sound of the door knocking.

Opening the door he saw Trixie wearing cosplay as well. “Hey Calvin, are you ready to go?” She asks, trailing behind a wagon filled with her merch.

“Yeah, I was worried you weren’t gonna come,” he said in relief. “I got some anime merch that I want to get autographed, and I see that you have some too.

Looking back she chuckles, “Oh no these aren’t getting autographed…well i mean they might but not by me.” She corrected “I’m selling them at the artist alley. This is my first time doing this and I hope people like them enough to buy them.”

“Oh! Well I like your outfit.”

“Thanks, it's Aisha’s enchantix form.”

“Right Right Aisha.” he nods, not wanting to hurt Trixie’s feelings from his lack of knowledge of the winx club.

As the two got out of the car driven by Calvin’s dad, they were in awe at the size of the crowd in front of the convention center. Cosplayers and fans alike were talking about their favorite media while others were debating who’s best girl.

As Trixie setted up her vendor table at the artist alley she glanced around, taking in the surrounding area. Booths as far as the eye could see, in neat, orderly lines. Within each were her fellow vendors, scurrying around their respective palaces in anticipation of money that would soon be thrust upon them by all too willing customers, each desperate to have a piece of fanart of their waifu and/or husbando. Capitalism and Creativity meeting in a glorious, harmonious blend. And at the center of it all was a large stage, to be used for announcements and events.

Her own preparations were nearly complete. All she needed to do was unload and unpack the last of her boxes of products. Fortunately for her, Calvin had offered to help her with that last part.

“Are you sure you’re gonna be okay?” He asks Trixie as he sets up the keychains “I can stay with you and help out.”

“I can handle it Calvin, If anything happens I can just text you.”

He was a bit concerned as he debated whenever to help his friend or to explore the conventions, he sighs giving her a half smile. “Alright, Call me if something serious happens and I'll rush right over."

She gives him a thumbs up as he leaves her to her work. Her Bunny_Tr1x booth had opened to little fanfare. This was to be expected being her first time as a seller.

And for a time, she'd been absolutely correct. Then she got her first customer, far sooner than she had anticipated. An introverted, shy teen, not much older than herself. Trixie had been a tad disappointed to find out that the boy was just looking around, but that quickly evaporated when he noticed that one of the keychains was of Vash the stampede.

They'd made small talk, a few pictures were taken, and the girl was sent on her way with a few keychains . All in all, a pretty good experience for her first sale.

It wasn't long before other attendees began to gravitate towards her booth and she quickly found herself busy.

Meanwhile on Calvin’s part he was walking around the artist alley, seeing if he could get something cute for Paris, there were snow globes with iconic scenes recreated in them, keychains of ship couples, even some handmade miniature plushies. He looked at his budget and went for the miniature plushies, buying a squishy lil hedgehog for his girlfriend.

Meanwhile with Trixie things were slowing down for her when she noticed a familiar picture from across her, it looked like something she drew while someone was selling prints of them.

“Wait a minute.” She gets up and approaches the booth.

As she got closer she could see clearly that these prints were al-generated, once the person was getting their money Trixie was at their booth.

“Excuse me,” She said, “I noticed that your prints look similar to mine.”

“Oh really? Great minds think alike.” They said counting their money.

“Yeah, almost as if you generated them through a.i.” Trixie narrowed her eyes.

The person stops counting their Money and looks at Trixie, she kept her eyes narrowed as they glared at each other.

“It’s called digital art, ya heard of it?”

“Digital art involves actual work and heart put into it,” She replies “What you’re doing is the equivalent of microwaving frozen dinner and serving it as homemade cooking.”

As she argued with them a crowd was forming around the two, both of them glaring at each other. Getting his autograph from his favorite voice actor he gets a call from Trixie, placing his stuff in his backpack he answers the call.

“Hey Trixs what’s up?”

“Calvin, I need your help!” trixie said in a panicked tone

“H-Hold on, I'm coming to you!”

“Hurry!”

He pushed through the crowd trying to see what was the fuss, people were shouting over each other trying to get a word out edgewise. Insults and threats were being thrown while some people threw food in retaliation.

“Hey what the hell is going on?!?” Calvin said looking furious

Both Trixie and the seller looked at him, not saying a word til trixie speaks. “This person is selling generative ai art as their own work!” She said, glaring at the scammer.

Calvin looks at them as well both confused and disappointed. “Really dude?”

“It’s the same as digital art!”

The crowd booed at them throwing their food and trash at them before Calvin calmed them down. “Okay okay settled down, first off it sounds like microwaving frozen dinner and serving it as homemade cooking.”

“That’s what i said!.” Trixie shouted from the crowd.

“And second Generative A.I isn’t helping anyone, not artists, not writers, not even you.”

They looked away, not wanting to admit that he was right. They sigh as they give trixie some of the sales profits.

“I’ll leave and never come back…”

“Hey hold on,” Calvin grabs them by their shoulder. “Maybe instead you can practice drawing or find some other way to be creative for next time okay?”

They twiddle their thumbs before nodding.

Later that day at the food court Trixie and Calvin were having some burgers after what happened.

“Sorry about what happen at your booth.” he said to Trixie

“It’s not your fault,” She said, drinking her milkshake. “You helped me out when I called you.”

He smiles a bit looking at his bag of merch, “Well I'm glad you at least got to sell your keychains, I bet you've got some new followers too.”

Trixie smiles as both she and Calvin enjoy each other’s companies.

3 - nostalgia-inducing possession?

a tie between the little green dino plushie I've had since I was a little kiddo (and its red, yellow, and blue siblings I found at a fleamarket last summer which almost made me break down and cry at the stall lol), the plushie bat keychain i begged my mother to buy for me (used it as a stim toy a bunch over the years. loyal companion <3), and the little metal trinket box with a print of Bloom from Winx Club on it which I used to keep scented flower petals in, and carried around with me and sniffed the petals whenever I needed a distraction. (I was a huge Winx Club nerd and a very anxious and paranoid kid due to a generally hostile school environment, bullying, and no support)

probably the first time I got a hug from a classmate in 6th grade after telling her I hadn't been hugged in several years at the time. shoutout to you, Alex. I'll never forget you <3

getting to enjoy all of nature's big and small beauties and wonders, and also getting to share thoughts and ideas and get excited over them with lovely people <3 (like you!)

It's crazy how little known most precure merchandise is, simply because collector sites only list things like:

figures, henshin devices, keychains, clear files, children's costumes, acrylic stands, ship collab items etc

but there is so much more. think of anything we have for toddlers-elementary school kids here with like, winx club or dora on it, they've got it

every season has like 30 coloring books and also things like

pool rings, arm floatys, cheap little water guns, inflatable pool floatys of the cures themselves, every article of clothing you can imagine ESPESCIALLY lots of shoes and hats, backpacks, little purses. so many little purses. costume jewelry, sunglasses, little flashlights, cake toppers, bags of cotton candy with the cures on the bag, fesfival masks, pencils, pens, erasers, etc..!

if you live in Japan and are a very small child and you want anything, like, ANYTHING with precure on it, the world is your oyster baby

clothes aren't as appealing to adult collectors I guess since you're not gonna be able to wear them but it's kind of surprising that stuff like stationery sets doesn't get much attention. people don't want to collect precure pencils and erasers?

I guess it's the difference between "collector goods" and "accessories." Japanese collector sites probably also only list figures and stuff. but if you live in Japan you can go out and buy the jewelry and clothes if you think they're cute and that's harder to do overseas

⤷ what’s in winx club’s bag?

― lena moon.

lena carries a pink coach satchel bag for her everyday use. she used to carry a little white backpack but! her job has demanded her to be a bit more professional.  she bought it with her first paycheck and is very proud of that ( but she misses the aesthetic of having a tiny backpack at all times )

 sunscreen yes please! her favorite is krave beauty’s beet sunscreen, she has a habit of offering it to others because a lot of people still don’t know you should wear it even when it’s CLOUDY

she has a small pencil case from daiso, there’s various cute pens and pencils it’s a bit embarrassing when she brings it out from work.

a small thin wallet, it can only hold her id card and her debit and credit card. 

her company id card on a lanyard, she has a cute sunflower pin on the straps but her actual picture she looks like she’s going to sneeze.

she has a small clear plastic bag ( a freebie ? maybe from glossier ?) with her favorite liptint, a lavender face mist and some pads and tampons just in case. 

keys!! to her !!! own apartment!!! she’s very excited, she has a cinnamoroll keychain that she bought off of etsy.

of course her phone, there’s a picture of her mom and her on the back on vacation in korea. 

she also brings a pair of sandals because her feet hurt after doing her segment in heels : (

pepper spray but she’s afraid it’s opened and might spray herself by mistake 

a receipt from her favorite diner, it’s from her first time there and she kept it so she could remember the address.

Reasons I Really like Winx Club

-has a diverse cast -was clearly meant to be an anime script -badly adapted to american audiences -sometimes characters just walk into things and no one notices -characters do very Japanese things and no one notices -stock music -the subtitles -the horrible talk tracks over music -did i mention the stock music -no one in the world seems to exist except the Winx -the adults in the show don’t do shit -why is everyone the same shape -sexy transformation sequences -sometimes the plot is just “….and suddenly x happens” -seriously did i mention the stock music because clearly no one paid for that, its ridiculous -there are a set of characters that exist only to sell keychains -what are parents -what are teachers -why is this group of young girls the reason anything happens in this world -really though why don’t the adults do anything -why don’t the other characters affect the main cast -why does everything in this world revolve around the schools -“realms” and “dimensions” are never explained -everyone is sexy -one time two guys switched names and nobody made a big deal about it -everyone is clearly in lesbians -no one is straight -no one -not one single character -everyone has sexual tension with everyone -the bad guys all wear latex for no explainable reason other than lesbians -there’s an autistic character that’s done….passably well for early 2000's ’s -theres an asian character who isn’t a joke -there’s more than one brown character -everyone wears wedges and heels for no reason -everyone is the trope-y est trope they can be
