Course B: Holidays around the world

The final day of winter school happened today. On our last day, we focused on having fun! We enjoyed dancing to many Christmas-themed songs. We also sung " jingle bells while jingling bells, and What do you want for Christmas?" song and each child shared with their classmates what they wanted for Christmas.

By listening to two books about Hanukkah and Ramadan, we continue our exploration of holidays around the world.

We did a Christmas board game, they had to provide numerous answers in order to reach the goal.

They created a natural Christmas wreath for their craft using ornaments from both Christmas and nature. They decided which rhinestones and ornaments to use and where to place them on their wreath. The result was fantastic!

Holidays from around the world are our new topic for today.

New songs about Christmas and other holidays were introduced. To review Christmas vocabulary, the chanted to the Christmas ABC song.

They sew a stocking with a dark green ribbon as their first craft, and they decorate it with a snowman or a Christmas tree decoration, using different materials such as felt,  pompoms, foam...

After hearing the story of “the elf on the shelf”, they searched around school's classrooms for the elf named “Franky”

It was really fun!
