Decoy Team’s Debrief
@sixfingersixtails @heroesxdemons
“Alright mission time: Here’s the low down.”
“You will be dropped on the northern side of the Winterdown’s kingdom border. From there you will march east ward along coast and edge to hide from any patrols, You will reach a point where it is possible to see an orange glow over the ocean side during dawn, dusk, and nighttime. That is the Ogre kingdom where the dwarves are going to assume where you came from.”
“You will wait until Recon team is ready to infiltrate. At that point, the orders shift to Sixer, in where you will go inwards into the kingdom of the dwarves wearing Orge based uniforms. Burn your Crow Empire uniforms before you begin. Your goal is to cause as much destruction as possible, but this does not mean casualties on massive scale... A war tatic is to wound a single person to where two people are taken off the battle field: one hurt, and one carrying. However some deaths are inevitable.”
“Now comes the closing part. Sixer and other minor leaders will be kept in contact with me. When I have the princess safely away: book it and escape. Split north and south, unless high casualties, in which stick as a group and head south specifically. Extraction is those points. If you are captured we will pull a mission to get you out after we stage another mission.”
“Got all that? Any Questions?”

Winterdown’s Recon (Pt.2)
@crows-evil-blog
They brought a lot of C4. That poor unnamed minion carried most of it there for them. Give that guy a raise!
Rachael helped set up the explosives and doesn’t stop when the call came in. She wavers when Crow starts to speak up into the intercom and stops to watch him under the mask. Change of plans? No problem. Wouldn’t be the first time she had to do some improvisation on the job.
“Will do boss. Permission to take the grunt with me?” She points a thumb to the anonymous minion with them. She could use the extra arms to carry explosives. But not just that. She was starting to feel a little weird. Was it jitters? No it felt physical. Something was off. She tries to tuck the anxiety away and get back to her job.
They split their ways.

Winterdown’s Recon (Pt.1)
Under cut for length. @crows-evil-blog
Rachael had been awoken in the early morning to the comm ringing by her mattress. Apparently it was time to get the mission underway. She got a small bag together and boarded the Condor. Just like he said, there was a briefing and slight training. Fitting the uniforms was the weirdest part for her. Didn’t like stuff like that and the uniform still felt a little too tight against her skin. She would pinch and pull at it for a while until she got used to it.
Jumping ahead to the deploy. Dwarves. Literal dwarves. She felt like an inconspicuous giant walking amongst them with Crow and Tina, who she hadn’t met until recently. Who was a mouse? Now she really feels like the biggest elephant in the room. She hadn’t really spoken to Tina, hadn’t even introduced herself yet. There might be time for that later. Might. For now, she slinks into the storage room Crow had found. It was just as cold inside as it was out. Maybe even colder.
She looks around at the items that were strewn about the floor, on shelves and in barrels. Looked like food storage. There was a lot of salt jars. Probably for preserving fish and meats. Speaking of meats there was a shelf that was filled with slabs of meat and fish. Crow announces to them that they move out in 58 minutes and Rachael gives a nob of understanding. More than enough time. Then she turns right back to the shelves. They were right above her eye level. Whatever was on the shelves smelled smoky and looked cooked when she jumped up so she reaches up and snags a piece of meat and what looks like salmon. Good source of protein and other vitamins. Could use the boost for the mission. She yanks her helmet off and puts the entire piece of fish in her mouth, quickly chewing and swallowing it. Onto the dried meat.
Show time. Swallowing what was left in her mouth and running her tongue over her teeth for a quick clean, she yanks her mask back on and follows Crow. He wasn’t kidding! It was an ice tunnel. Blue and white and pearl from wall to wall. She gets a few feet in and instantly slides. Screw getting her footing, these boots were pointless on ice. Pausing for a moment, she takes off her shoes. As she walked the cold seeped into her feet and they quilled up giving her larger and sharper talons. Thousands of small prickles stuck into the ice giving her better traction. They did click on the ice as the only form of noise that came from her. It sounded uncanny.
The ice creatures were no problem for them and she paid them no mind. One was ballsy enough to try and get closer to her and as a warning she lunges forward stomping a foot on the ice to deter it. It may be best to stay closer to Crow until they get out. “I’ll pay ya to get me one of those later on.” He was already aware of Gaster and the trouble he put her through. While the incantation she used was useful it did require some grief to go through. At least this thing could be kept in her house to keep him out. She gets ahead towards the end to bust apart some stalagmites and stalactites that blocked their path. At the end was the citadel. It was immaculate. The design like abstract art and the architecture otherworldly.
“I’m sorry, but I have to say it and you can punch me for it later. Time to beak the ice.” Oh god she made herself cringe to.

Winterdown’s Recon (Pt.3)
These are drabbles meant for the event going on. @splinter-sister and @anothercracker are apart of this group, along with an unnamed Minion that I will write about. There will be 2-3 parts. Rise, action, and fall. I hope you enjoy it.
Part 3: Retrieval and Escape
With all of the events going on that happened, everything is on the fly. The entire Recon team was split up doing their own part to deal with a way in and out for a good escape and capture. Crow’s goal specifically was grabbing the princess. Simple enough. After a silent nod of a ‘go team’, they all bursted apart as Crow ran inwards, where as Racheal and Tina ran outward to do their gig. Time to get to work.
“Ariella! We have come for you! Give up simply to end this attack! We know what happens if you don’t!” Crow yells, exploding into the main chamber, as the dwarf steps forward.
“... Broomstick. You had almost caused an international incident. The peace we had was almost broken. I hope you have the best excuse you can muster, or I’m taking your other arm, and finding the original as trophies.” Ariella spoke with a strong, angry, and cold Scottish accent.
“I’m the villain. I cause destruction, pain, sorrow, and horrible events. Seeing my adversaries weaker and at their own throats only makes my attacks stronger. So my role is fit well, and I intend to see it through.” Crow says, having a stance, readying his hand.
“... You were always a schemer. If we didn’t end this war, I would might have given you that kingdom area as a price to help me solve the issue. But Mayapple and Malachite led me to peace. The war was over. I-”
“!!!!!”
Ariella fell down, after receiving an electrical shock. She was conscious still, but barely. Crow scoops her up and starts running.
“You want peace? I’ll give you the greatest peace there is with kingdoms. Under my rule. Under my control.” Crow says to her, as he books it.
Racheal’s and Tina’s work really showed as he ran back. Nearly no run ins and no problems, all with the escape route in sight and the escape vehicle appearing before them. Crow jumps on first, followed by R and T.
Ariella looks at the other two as they are all taken into the air:
“You are all going down.”
But Crow succeeded today, and his actions are known.

Winterdown Pre-set-up
“Alright we got three teams going on. Yes, Three.”
“Team one, Recon. Rachael, Tina, and I are going to infiltrate the dwarven stronghold to capture a princess.”
“Team two is Sixer with his platoon, maybe Desco too. They are the Decoy Detraction Team. Cause Mayhem and look like Sukochi Ogres.”
“And Team three is team Protection. Mel, Aku, Dr. Flug, you three will protect Azura on a night out in the town and have her return safely here back to the airship, understood?”

Winterdown Smackdown Recap!
You can see the other pieces of the event in detail here!
For a simple thing, since it has been a bit:
Crow successfully led an attack on the dwarven kingdom and took the princess. While the plan did not go exactly to plan, the end goal was gotten.
Crow originally wanted to pin the attack on the ogre kingdom to reignite the war between dwarves and ogres, yet due to minion mishaps, Crow told everyone to own up to it.
Due to this, the teams of Recon and Decoy scrambled and improv’ed as best as they could with the new situation, and finally finish the mission.
The dwarves thought they won at the start, but once they realized their princess was taken, the true winner came through:
Crow.

Part 2: The Citadel
A call was made again after they got the C4 charges up, but before the explosion. Crow’s face changed dramatically in this.
“What? . . .”
“WHAT? Um...”
“Own it then! Keep huge pressure up on the civilians and buildings. They will know were going for the princess at this point, but we need to keep them focused on their total lively hood. Rave the farms if need be, start to attack the sewers, take the time to make sure they don’t come for us.” And with that Crow hung up and huffed.
He needed to think and process what happened. On the fly change happened and he needs to adapt. What can he do? What can he do? . . .
“Alright. Plans have changed.” Crow says simply, creating a pile of grenades now off to the side from his mechanical hand.
“R, I’m going to need you to start making a clear path outside. Any direction. Blow up as many walls as possible- Just make clear paths for our escape.”
“Tina we-” Another call came in.
“WHAT IS IT NOW, BECKY?” Crow yells, only to stop silent once more.... Great. Crow hangs up.
“Tina... I’m going to need you to go through the rafters and ducts to find important rooms and blow them up. Surveillance, restock rooms, the likes. I need both of you to keep an eye out for another villain as well. Dr. Mechano. He’s here too. Timing be damned I guess.”
“I’m going to be-line it to the center and grab the princess. We need to work efficently and effectively. I’ll shoot up deactivated grenades into the ducts and leave a bunch everywhere, along with this huge pile here. We need to hurry. Time is against us more than ever. Lets go.”
And with that, each took off in their own directions after the C4 wall exploded, leaving them their path to freedom, saftey, and rewards.

Winterdown’s Recon (Pt.1)
These are drabbles meant for the event going on. @anothercracker and @splinter-sister are apart of this group, along with an unnamed Minion that I will write about. There will be 2-3 parts. Rise, action, and fall. I hope you enjoy it.
Part 1: The Ice Cave Entrance
Crow isn’t the biggest fan of silence and beginnings of missions. It’s where so much can go so wrong so quickly. So, Crow just has to bite his tongue for the time being and wait for the Decoy team to begin their motions. Both the Recon and Decoy teams dropped at the same time on opposite side of the kingdom, making their own way in. Recon team was a lot smaller, only comprised of three people. Tina, Rachael, and Crow himself.
Getting through town was easy, but much to Rachael and Tina’s surprise, they were truly dwarves. Something you would see out of LOTR or D&D. Crow doesn’t seem that surprised, since he has been here before, but the others might be seen as surprised.
Crow Quickly stepped into a building that was unlocked, a storage room. And ushered the others in. After the door shut behind, Crow started to get on the Comms.
“Alright Talk to me. We ready to roll? . . . Alright. I’ll relay message to the ship and recon. Remember to not kill if nessisary. If they attack directly with intent to kill, then you can defend. Just focus on making them not fighting, while causing as much of a scene as possible. Alright. Crow Out.” Crow turns his focus to another call, relaying all across about a hour rest before starting. Finally, Crow turns to his team.
“Were starting in 58 minutes to the T. Once the time starts we should head through the cellar here into the ice caves bellow. So rest up till then, and we move.” Crow says with some conviction and pride. Finally starting soon, much like the set up before an epic concert.
That time went faster than expected, with Crow not doing much except rummaging through the storage room for stuff to take, think of fitting fight songs, and talking with the main ship. But the time hit the mark and Crow smiled wickedly.
“Let’s go team. Princess awaits us.” Crow says, flinging open the hatch. and jumping in. Inside the cave was just the name: Ice everywhere. Sometimes a glow of light shined in through the pristine smooth ice. Sometimes with wind chilled to the bone if it wasn’t for the warmth protection they had on.
The monsters down bellow in the ice caves seemed to cower from the three, albiet sizing from much larger than them to smaller than Tina, but each were horrifiying from the others. The thing that kept most away were the light emitting from Crow’s hand.
“Monster Be-Gone. You’d be surprised how much this actually is. Free. Cause I stole it.” Crow says to break the ice and tension in the room. Bam double pun. Got ‘em.
Their walk took a bit of time, but after some navigation and help from Rachael and Tina, they were at the edge of the citadel's foundation and dungeon. It looked almost lego-like, with all of the colors and designs all over the place. But it was time to break in, and take the next step through the gauntlet of the citadel.

anothercracker:
“Well, they are a touch snug but with use they should loosen up.” She muttered, messing with the vest. She still wore her cloak over it, at least when not working.
And being here was not as bad as she thought it would be. No one was deliberately malicious towards her and not one of them had even shown a inkling of wanting to dissect her.
The one little dark spot in her future was the mission she was inevitably going to have to do.
“Alright. Soon were going to have to add some tools to the vest as well, so you need to make sure of that. There is a tracking system built into the vest already in case if you get into a point where you are in trouble or need to escape.” Crow informs. It’s also to check where she is and where she is going, just so she holds true to the contract.
“First mission down the road is going to be something with me to be precise. Were going into Winterdown, a kingdom of Dwarves. I got some crew taking care of a light show, so you and I are going to get a princess. Your going to be reconing and scouting slightly ahead helping this process be quick and silent as possible.”
