winterblessed IS really cool actually. from what i'm gathering this grand magical force, the aurora, picks one person at the start of each winter to carry its power. that person is a polaris, which is what senna is. the polaris picks three "leaders;" a hunter, a warden, and a sage (unsure if the titles are the same for each polaris.) right now, hwei is senna's warden, but FUCKKK him right. what if senna picked seren as her warden???

Strange question, but thoughts on the Winterblessed skin? Personally, since Annie Senna got skins with h some sweet lore, I'm satisfied.

I agree the skins are cute and they look okay, im happy Lucian and Senna are getting a Xayah/Rakan type of treatment this time, its cute to see that they are getting invested on them too as a couple, cause they deserve that. They are cute and they are married, period. Annie getting a skin is cool too and for the rest they are fine, Thresh is there to add more sass so, thats cool. The aesthetic of the skinline is a bit better than the last things Riot has released in the last couple years, i like that type of old winter castle aesthetic fused with boreal themes/colours mixed with a christmas legend/fairytale, i think its cute.

However, never forget this is Riot Games. This is the second year we get Winterblessed. Expect this skinline to reappear in the next 2 years consecutively until people get bored of it cause the quality of the skins got poor with pass of time and they create something else and leave the skinline to the dust. This is one of the recent Riot's money machines cause last ones did good last year and these new ones were deffinetly a bop cause every game i play someone has either Hwei, Senna or Camille skins with the border/icon (thats almost like 15 dollars in release cause i dont think they were able to farm the battle pass in 10 minutes since event release...). Something else that bugs me is that, and mind me i love Senna, its why they have given her another legendary skin. I dont understand the point of giving characters another legendary skin when equally popular characters dont have one, im not even talking about champs like Azir, Xerath, etc, im literally talking about Lulu for example or even Annie. And mind you, im a Pyke apologist, but if i could i would set Project Pyke as a concept on fire. I guess Senna is another money machine to them more than other champions that are as popular. But i dont know. Skins are good but Riot intentions are screaming quite hard.

LOL: The Winterblessed 2023 pass, was it worth it?

With the end of 2023 and the start of 2024 the League of Legends Winterblessed 2023 pass is coming to an end (after being active from December 6 to January 8). Now lets see if the pass was actually worth the money.

How much was the pass?

The pass on its own was worth 1650 RP which is an this moment in time equivalent to around £15 ( about $19 USD) if we take into account that you have no RP to start with. In this case you would be buying 1400RP+the bonus 50 for £10 and having to buy 575RP for £4.49. This is the same as the 2022 pass.

What did you get?

From completing levels of the pass you can earn tokens. You can earn enough tokens to unlock the prestige Camille skin worth 2000 and you can earn even more tokens. These unlock certain things inside the shop including the prestige skin mentioned earlier.

For the first 50 levels of the pass you can earn either 20 or 60 tokens per level. After 50 you can earn 20 per level.

For 200 tokens each you can buy a winterblessed orb which contains a skin shard and a chance to earn other items. This is useful if you happen to be a filthy skin collector like me,as if you happen to not want the prestige skin and you earn 3 skin shards you dont like/already own you can reroll them into a random skin and possibly get a different prestige skin or even an ultimate skin.

Alongside the pass, Riot also released 8 new skins (not including prestige). For Annie, Camille, Hecarim, Hwei, Lucian, Senna, Sylas and Thresh. Whenever they release skins related to the pass they include accessories that can either be purchased with the skin for RP or earned from tokens these are Borders and limited Chromas. The limited Chromas from the 2022 skins were also available in this pass. There was also an option to buy keys, key fragments, emotes and champ shards.

My dislike of this pass is that there was only one Prestige skin option. In other passes there have been options later on during the pass.

In the worlds 2023 pass you could chose between Prestige Coven Akali or Prestige Heartsteel Yone.

Opinion

Personally I think this pass was decent but could have been better however I think the pass was worth buying if you are interested in the skins of the game for the extra skin shards, extra mythic essence and other cosmetic items.
