Let's check the themes today...

Oh! It's about the lyrics of an old human song... from a show about boring people in ties.

Now, "somebody's blood" would refer to cartel executions. It's more direct and literal. Most lyrics sites say this, ya know.

"Summer's bird", on the other hand, would provide a contrast to "love this winter breeze", and refer to Saul's optimism being "shot down". It sounds more like two syllables than three in the first word, at least to me. You should get your ears checked!

It's a dark show! A neo-Western! There's gotta be some blood in it!

You're so childish! Blood doesn't make things cool! It's more poetic, more tragic, if you think of Mr. McGill as a singing bird in the summer, then he gets shot down by the paranoia of his brother!

Ooo yayayaya! I’m always happy to talk abt home!! :D

Yep, you’re right! No pokemon, also no humans (they kinda stopped existing a long time ago, along with all other mammals). We’ve got tons of other creatures though! Lots of sea life evolved to be land dwelling, not just the squids and octopi. Some of them ended up very people-like, like the urchins, and and crabs, and tons of other mollusks and fish. Some of them evolved to be more like traditional animals, like some shrimp.

Actually I just realized you probably don’t know what most of those are, hm…

Well, just know that they’re neat :]

Yeah, but anyways! Aside from the occasional living fossil trying to wipe us off the map, it’s pretty chill! We’ve got sports, tons of art, the music is amazing (seriously I need to send you all some songs to listen to)

Oh! Food!! We’ve got tons of neat food. There’s this place near where I live that has amazing udon, and there’s this other place that makes this soup with shrimp in it, and then- Oh! If you visit inkopolis, crusty Sean’s is the single best place to get food in the city. Honestly there’s a lot of places I could talk abt for ages, but I don’t wanna ramble too much.

Oh yea! In my area we’ve got two main regions and cities, inkadia and the splatlands. Inkadia is like- temperate, mountainous, gets pretty cold in the winter. And then the Splatlands is mostly just desert. They play fast and loose with the law, and most of it is pretty chaotic, but it’s a great place once you know what you’re doing.

There’s more, but I can’t think of much else to mention aside from like- inksports, but those could take up a whole post on their own.

Pearl may snuggle up and watch the wintery scene, every time Marina gently moves Pearl closer to her, she'll squeak in response, being the cute squid that she is 💕

If asked, Junko can tell one anything and everything about him. He's very different from his wife. When Junko wasn't only with her, he'd frequently take her out for ice cream. Whenever she had any hardships, he was there to help her. It's theorized that this led to her love of ice cream and soup, another comfort food of hers. After losing his daughter, he was able to maintain his life, but he was deeply depressed. The way the small town he lived in worked, nothing could really stop Kaori from taking her again. To solve the empty space in his life, he began sending her letters. If found by Kaori, she'd crumple them up. In each letter, he promised that, no matter what, they'd see each other again.

in kindergarten, junko colored in a paper tie for father's day and gave it to him. he still has it.

tried very hard to get 3s mom to stop her habits for junko's sake, even when it became clear that she wouldn't

always gave junko a big hug when she came home from school (before The Incident)

Arson's lore/backstory

As someone who never knew much about it's childhood if you ask it to retell some childhood stories it would most likely be from when it was 10-14. The truth is that it was {abandoned} and labelled as an anomaly due to the fact that it had cat features and developed extremely early on in life. At the age of 5 it was taken in by an inkling on the luxurious side of inkopolis. It was never given a real name but due to the fact that her skin could set a small fire out of paper if it even touched a stack of paper, it was given the nickname "Arson" after reaching the legal requirements for jobs around inkopolis it became quite a target for people who wanted there enemies to suffer. As for some reason it was well known that she had anomalous "powers" , it started to run a side hustle of using the money of those so desperate for their enemies to suffer. The way it would work the payments was : pay 100 G for the initial service and then 20 G for the amount of hours the fire would burn out. Somehow it had never been suspected for these acts of arson. This may have been that she was a "loner" and never hung out in really populated arias where this service could make them rich. this didn't work all the time. It had been interviewed countless times by the time any roomers start to spread about it. Most about it's ability to set fire to anything that they touch and their background.

{abandoned}: it is suspected to have amnesia. This is due to the fact that it cant remember anything until it was 10. Which is extremely unusual for any child. "All I remember was waking up in the woods and being covered in all sorts of religious clothes. it was weird. I had a HUGE mark on my back. Also, it felt like it was about late autumn early winter, I think? I don't know. It was YEARS ago"

Edit (this is just an update to the lore): this paragraph was written from Arson's perspective. Glossing over anything that involves dates or conflicts. Truth is that it was a good formerly going by Armine (the god of fire mischief and violence/wars. And a few years before the end of the Great Turf War (I think it would have gone on for at least 10-12 years) Armine was banished for 500 years. Mainly due to what it represented (this happened with the god of death and sorrow (Reaper) and no it didn't work) so why did this happen? It's sister was absolutely done with it from day one and wanted any excuse to get rid of Armine, the war was that excuse.

Adria sits in her normal spot in Alterna, waiting for Julian to return from the kettle. Winter always feels so... sad? Is that the word to describe it correctly? She's not really sure anymore... Either way, the first month of the year tends to be harsher to her...

"...Mm..."

She glances towards the kettle Julian will be coming out of soon, she'd sent Callie and Marie out to do a supply run for Alterna, so it was quiet besides the soft sound of the ocean waves below her.

...She's not a big fan of the quiet anymore...

When it's too quiet, she starts thinking, and when she starts thinking, it usually leads to bad memories... She pulls out her phone, putting on a playlist just to have a little more sound around her. Though, the songs feel as though they're just as off as she is.

"...It's lonely being by myself..."

She mumbles to herself, rummaging through her pockets. She pulled out a few papers from her pocket, nothing really important written on them, and unfolds them. Out slides an old photograph, or, rather old as in from when she first came to Inkopolis...

...has it really been almost a decade now...?

"...Oh..."

She paused, reaching out for the photo. It's definitely seen some better days, scuff marks on both the front and back, but... It's nice. Old faces she hasn't seen for about 5 years...

"..."

Instinctively, she touches the scar on the right side of her face, staring at herself as a 15 year old... Before becoming Agent 3, before when the only scars she had were invisible.

"...Hmm..."

She wipes at her eyes when her vision becomes too blurry to make out the faces in the photo, only lifting her head when Julian has returned.

"Captain?"

He's covered in enemy ink, scratches and bruises from whatever battle he just came from, but his first thought is to comfort her. Even if he doesn't know what's wrong. He tosses aside the little treasures he took back from the kettle and sits in front of Adria.

"...Sad?"

"...Just... thinking too much..."

Queenie’s fuse was easily reignited. “Ex—Excuse me?! Perhaps I didn’t hear you correctly!” She reaches for her purse, opening it to find that there’s … not nearly enough coinage inside to bribe anyone. It was never wise to carry large sums of money around Splatsville, and she had intended to pay her way through Inkopolis by card. Gritting her teeth, she snaps the purse shut again. “Well—! If you’re too blind to see sense, then it’s your loss! Your establishment doesn’t deserve to be graced by my presence.”

She turns heel, grasping Eelrune by the arm to lead her away. “My Inkstagram followers will hear all about this disgrace, mark my words! … Que cabrón ..."

Once they’re well out of sight, Queenie loosens her grip, and her firm, stoic posture wilts like a flower in winter. “I’m … I’m so sorry, Eelrune. I’ve never, ever been turned away from any establishment before. I really thought…” She covers her face. “I just—I really wanted to take you there.”
