And it was on the fourth day of our trip that we reached the Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon! We spent most of the afternoon leaning out of the car to get the perfect shot, or quickly rolling up the window to keep the elk and emu out. It was a long day of driving, and we were both so thankful to be staying at a fancy inn with a basket of Jenga and a nice river view :). The next morning we headed to Portland, stopping at Powell's Books and checking out the foodie scene. With only a few hours there, we didn't get to eat or see as much as we had hoped, but that just gives us reasons to go back! Our final night was spent in Vancouver, Washington. We ate popcorn at an amusement park, Carlos almost won a gigantic stuffed animal, and we cooked dinner in our studio apartment.
