I have a personal headcanon that while underwater, SeaWings use mainly ASL to communicate ideas and thoughts and that the bioluminescent flashes are there to give tone, tense, etc.

Who is the great ice dragon? What queen did Opal make the gift of vision for and is it a coincidence that she supposedly "was around the time of Queen Diamond" and Queen Diamond, according to the winglets, was trying to get Arctic to enchant a "gift of vision" albeit related to weather? If Sunny was born under all three moons (like she would have been if they weren't in a cave) would she have had darkstalker-level powers? How did Orca avoid the animus test? (that one might just be a plothole) What is with the wingless dragon in Burn's stronghold? WHO IS BERYL? What happened to Jerboa II? What is the gift of understanding? If animus magic truly originated with the icewings, how did it pop up in seawing and sandwing bloodlines? Was it truly a random mutation? If so, why was the icewing bloodline so consistent (literally an animus EVERY GENERATION until darkstalker I think)? If Darkstalker had kids would his bloodline have been just as strong???

Hot take for Wof: clearsight kinda sucks I understand she can’t see that far into the future but could she see one of the Hivewing queens becoming a dictator I understand it might be very foggy but could she right something like “Oh yeah the Hivewing queen is going to be a dictator so time in the future I don’t know why but if they have white eyes y’all are screwed bye” I'm also I’m beginning book 3 so it might explain more on that fingers crossed

The Wings of Fire plotholes strike again

So LeafWings and BeetleWings (what HiveWings and SilkWings used to be) were once residents of Pyrrhia, but they fled due to trouble, right? In book 15 it shows that the dragon alive during that time were possibly hybrids or pre-evolved versions of the modern tribes, INCLUDING LeafWings since Freedom has leafspeak powers and resembles them a bit. So this implies LeafWings and BeetleWings were still around during the Scorching (I’m pretty sure Cottonmouth went to Pantala to follow the BeetleWings and LeafWings there too… That would further prove my point). If LeafWings and BeetleWings were around during the Scorching, how the hell do the modern Pyrrhian dragons know about the scorching but not the TWO OTHER TRIBES who used to live on the continent?? “Oh but they Leaf/BeetleWings escaped during the Scorching” the scorching MIGHT have been the reason they dragons escaped, and how have dragons not been able to know anything before the scorching? How do they go “omg there are more than 7 tribes” when there should be evidence the LeafWings at least lived on your continent?

Mulloway, Shell, and Kuhli are 3 loving SeaWings living in the Sea Kingdom.

Mulloway is a Scout for the SeaWing army, luckily, there hasn’t been much activity from enemy kingdoms, granting him more time at home.

Kuhli is a hunter, making most of her income through selling her catches to her merchant friends, even going further inland for more exotic prey.

Shell is a writer, often drawing from tales Kuhli hears from merchants and traveling dragons. She was blinded in one eye due to an incident in her dragonet-hood, but she’s managed to adapt over the years.

(These guys were partially created to spite that one person on tiktok who started trending for hating poly people. Tho I have always wanted to make poly oc’s so here we are :3)

Pinkie Pie would of course be a rainwing! It was either mudwing or rainwing in my eyes but I just had to go rainwing.

Peony was raised in a cave system by parents afraid of war and other dragons. Peony never got to experience the feeling of the sun on her scales. One day while exploring the cave system with her sister, she found a wide hole in the ceiling with light pouring out of it. She had never felt something so wonderful. She returned to her parents, who attempted to block the tunnel. Peony left her parents and siblings, of whom were too afraid to go with her. She found her way to the surface and through the years found herself as a dragon and as a friend.
