The exhaustion was written clearly on the alpha's features as she pulled into the parking lot of Waffle House. Between doing damage control before the Wine Party and actually going to the wine party, Gwen was spent. However, if there was one thing she was more than tired was hungry. The vampires sure knew how to throw a party, but the spread of food left much to be desired for the now ravenous alpha. She'd surely worked up an appetite between mingling and networking, as well as keeping a watchful eye on other pack members.

Walking into the familiar scene of Waffle House with a smile, she quickly found a booth near the back window to take residence. Leaving the party knowing it was later than late, she had reached out to the one person she knew would probably be up at this hour, Auggie. She was happy to receive the text that he would meet her somewhere, grateful she wouldn't have to dine alone. Gwen ordered a coffee and looked out the window for signs of Auggie's arrival.

As an elder for the werewolf community, she had to at least make an appearance at the festival, even if she didn't want to. The alpha was trying to keep an eye on her children and pack but they had quickly scattered through the crowd, wanting to enjoy the party before she sent them home. She found a place on the balcony to watch over the maze, making sure none of her pack ended up in there accidentally.

A warm around her waist was the only thing that stopped Esme from mothering her thirty-three year old child. "Oh hi there, honey," she hummed, tilting her head to kiss his cheek. Now she had some company, the party was a little better. "I don't plan on staying for long," she answered. "As an elder, it's polite. But, you didn't have to come. Or are you waiting to find a hot vampire date?" the alpha teased.

Attending an event like this, as a werewolf, proved all sorts of different compared to the Lunar new year or at least, that is what Jaxon thought. He was in no mood to start a fight, despite the familiar faces he saw in the crowd, but if they decided to push it...well, he wasn't going to fucking hesitate. For the time being, he kept an eye on pack (a hard enough task considering how big that goddamn mansion was) and focused on enjoying some fancy cocktail one of the floor staff had handed him.

Walking across the room, Reed noticed the balconies overlooking the garden maze and opened one of the doors to access it. Hell, he hadn't smoked in years but he was not surprised to see some people there, including one very, very gorgeous lady. He neared her, looping an arm around her waist to bring her closer, and kissed her temple. "Hi." he whispered with a soft smile on his lips. "You look absolutely beautiful, dear. I didn't know you were here. You holding up fine?"

I freaked out a little cause he introduced me to them. But I was also a little drunk cause on Thursday I was still so scared all I managed to do was say hi to him while sober. But then I had a drink (and made him try it) and I literally STARED AT HIM the whole night and thought I was going to die when he went on stage and played his guitar I was kind of glad we accidentally stood on the wrong side so we weren't right in front of him cause I think I might have died. And anyway when we left I got my first ever hug from him and it was awkward but it was lovely. And then I got into the parking lot and immediately texted him and told him that he should wear his hat to winefest cause he looked cute in it. And then he wore it to winefest.
