as I play doors I notice that there is sort of mass limit when it comes to crucifixion

I think this guy BARELY surpasses the crucifixion threshold when comparing it to other entities who can break the crucifix's hold. (e.g. seek, grumble)

since this entity is actually just goop with eyes, it makes sense as to how the humanoid seek can break the chains, but considering that it IS a ball of goop with eyes, what the fuck is the crucifix even banishing? a section of it?? it can recover it bro

+ my theory on the reason why you can't just banish dam seek is because the crucifix is simply too weak. seek is guiding light's biggest op frfr

let's move onto the entities who DON'T surpass the mass threshold.

this one's interesting.

we basically have confirmation that this is a seek infected giggle, so in this case, the crucifix IS banishing a part of seek goop. so maybe in this case, the seek goop is small enough to become banished.

OR, seek's goop is acting as a parasite, therefore screech is technically being controlled but slightly infected, but alive and not completely a part of the seek mass just yet.

they also, obviously, don't pass the threshold.

moving on to the ghostly entities

rush/ambush/halt/dread/eyes

these ghostly entities do not have a large amount of mass (maybe no mass), therefore they can easily be countered and sent to the shadow realm inaccessible by the player

does this mean they are getting sent to a dimension below the current dimension that we can access? is this how the entirety of the hotel/mines/rooms/backdoor, exists?

so if guiding light can access other dimensions how can't it banish the entirety of seek there? lol

my theory on these two sole jumpscare entities is that they do not have ill intent, compared to every other entity. therefore, they cannot be banished.

void

this one is ESPECIALLY interesting.

when you hold out the crucifix to "banish" void, the crucifix will be used to guarantee zero damage when you get teleported back to the group. so, what's happening here?

I personally tie this back to intention, and that guiding light is restraining the void of its ill intent, making it carry out its job while also being harmless.

Any disability/mental disorder headcanons for the entities of Doors? I have a headcanon that A-120 is a ambulatory wheelchair user that uses crutches due to being a wobbly walker and having chronic pain (I share this headcanon with someone else).

I haven't thought about this much, but Ig I have a few headcanons like that

Ambush, A-60, and A-90 def have some sort of anger issues (if that counts)

Eyes had to wear glasses in her past life and has anxiety

Screech has ADHD

Sally (Window) is on the autism spectrum

Curious Light is on the autism spectrum

Hide cant walk that well, so they usually stay in closets like 24/7 or just move in a more blob-like form

Halt and A-120 have abandonment issues

Thats basically all I can think of
