I believe I've already spoken of several Ancient Decepticons with forms observed by your kind to be cryptids, whose numbers included Heavytread and Abominus. Heavytread was active in the Pacific Northwest, where he inspired the legend of the Sasquatch before being captured and imprisoned by Crosswise. Abominus, meanwhile, was active in the Himalayas, where he menaced the indigenous tribes along with early 19th-century mountaineers. The duo had a brother, Stinkbomb, who was active in the southern United States. His acrid odor proved infamous, and inspired tales of the legendary "skunk ape".

They are by no means unique in the multiverse, however. Take the Mini-Con Windchill, who hindered the Rescue Bot Boulder and his human ally, Graham Burns, during an arctic rescue operation. His actions were more mischievous than malicious, and he eventually decided to stop aggravating them and instead help them in their efforts. Together, they saved a thaw-monitoring station from sliding into the ocean, and ultimately parted on amicable terms.

Weekly Highlights January 19th to 25th

This week we start with an arctic winter storm making its way through the Great Lakes and Northeast today into tomorrow. The storm will bring very cold weather, wind, along with dangerous wind chills that are below zero through mid-week. Snow accumulations look to be around 1-4’’ with 4’’ + along the I-95 corridor. Blizzard like conditions will come with this storm and make for dangerous travel…

So I’m straight up not having a good time right now. :(

The first one is in Celsius and the second in Freedom Units Fahrenheit. This kind of cold is apparently going to linger until Monday, might go down to -50C, -58F and it’s going to be snowing too.

It's a might nippy out there. With a windchill of -22°C the juice in our hummingbird feeders freezes solid in an hour. Been rotating them out since 7:15 this morning.

I tell ya, if it stays like this I'm seriously considering wearing socks with my Birkenstocks!! 🥶

A while ago I ordered a yoshino cherry tree from a dubious online shop and it arrived looking like just a stick in some dirt, and I've just been watering my Dirt Stick for weeks on a wing and a prayer, tenderly caring for my precious Stick, loving and believing in my Stick.

And then on the coldest day of the year so far, she started to bud :)

*Deidara and Hidan burst in through the back door, white-faced and trembling*

Sasori: Oh, good God … what’s the matter with you two?? Where are your COATS?!

Deidara, holding his shaking hands under hot water: W-w-was a b-b-bet, D-Danna. To s-see who could l-last longer w-without anything h-heavy on!

Hidan, trying to shove Deidara away from the sink to put his own hands under the water: I w-won, asshole. Y-you got in h-here before m-me!

Deidara: N-no I d-d-didn’t, hm! Y-y-you —

Sasori: Both of you stop it this instant! You should be ASHAMED of yourselves! Do you realize that it’s entirely possible to DIE, exposing your bare skin to below-zero temperatures for prolonged periods?? How even old are you both? Must I look after you like CHILDREN?!

Deidara: B-but S-Sasori! It was a b-b-b—

Sasori: START BETTING ON NORMAL THINGS LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE!

Kakuzu, coming into the room: No need to explain the situation, I heard it all from the living room. I went and drew them a warm bath. They can take one together, seeing as how they’re choosing to act like infants.

Sasori: Thank you, Kakuzu. *goes to Deidara and starts stripping him out of his clothes, while Kakuzu does the same to Hidan*

Hidan: *starts laughing through chattering teeth* T-t-thanks, old man! I j-just won a h-hundred b-bucks off of t-this d-dumbass!

Kakuzu: What?

Deidara, scowling: H-he bet me that if w-we did s-something like this, S-Sasori would j-just lecture and y-yell at us, but K-Kakuzu would d-do something to actually h-help us! 

Sasori:

Sasori: I … was going to help once I was done “yelling”, Deidara. *changes his voice to be soft and gentle* My love, have you no idea how much I care for you? I just —

Kakuzu: You can save it, Sasori. When I walked in here, even I could see it; you were literal seconds away from killing them both, telling the rest of us that they’d died from frostbite, and then taking their bodies to turn into puppets.

Sasori:

Sasori: … that does not prove that I don’t still love Deidara, I just —

Kakuzu: Just make sure your brat pays mine before the end of the day. I’ve decided he’s going to buy us dinner to celebrate one of his stupid decisions being profitable for a change.

Sasori:
