Oh Valentine’s Day…
I nearly feel like I lost my way, even though I know I haven’t. But it’s time for another cleanse, to feel more secure and deserving. To harness my wasted energy from the undeserving to tasks that would be worthwhile.
Goodbye childish men, your unwanted whines and pleads will be ignored and forgotten. Do not spread your insecurity onto others. Focus on yourself to become the best form. Stop blaming others for your same old mistakes and ignorance.

Dear Vector Prime,
We've seen a lot of monster bots and cons over the years, but has there ever been one with a Sasquatch or yeti alternate mode?
Dear Cryptid Con,
I believe I've already spoken of several Ancient Decepticons with forms observed by your kind to be cryptids, whose numbers included Heavytread and Abominus. Heavytread was active in the Pacific Northwest, where he inspired the legend of the Sasquatch before being captured and imprisoned by Crosswise. Abominus, meanwhile, was active in the Himalayas, where he menaced the indigenous tribes along with early 19th-century mountaineers. The duo had a brother, Stinkbomb, who was active in the southern United States. His acrid odor proved infamous, and inspired tales of the legendary "skunk ape".
They are by no means unique in the multiverse, however. Take the Mini-Con Windchill, who hindered the Rescue Bot Boulder and his human ally, Graham Burns, during an arctic rescue operation. His actions were more mischievous than malicious, and he eventually decided to stop aggravating them and instead help them in their efforts. Together, they saved a thaw-monitoring station from sliding into the ocean, and ultimately parted on amicable terms.

Photos from the weekend at Saints Rest Beach during the extreme cold warning. We were on our way out of town and noticed the sea smoke from the highway and decided to take a detour. It was about -45 with the windchill, and we could only be out of the vehicle for less than 5 minutes before needing to rush back in. #saintsrestbeach #polarvortex #windchill #saintjohnnb #saintawesome #newbrunswickcanada #jeepwrangler #olllllllo (at Saints Rest Beach) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoV_K6KOacb/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

So I’m straight up not having a good time right now. :(

The first one is in Celsius and the second in Freedom Units Fahrenheit. This kind of cold is apparently going to linger until Monday, might go down to -50C, -58F and it’s going to be snowing too.

It's a might nippy out there. With a windchill of -22°C the juice in our hummingbird feeders freezes solid in an hour. Been rotating them out since 7:15 this morning.
I tell ya, if it stays like this I'm seriously considering wearing socks with my Birkenstocks!! 🥶

The greenhouse is all wrapped up and ready for the below zero temperatures this weekend. It only took us two cold snaps but we’ve finally figured out the best method of insulating our little marvel of a growing station. 🪴 Current wind chill temperature is 2 degrees outside with 30-50mph wind gusts. But inside the greenhouse, it’s a warm and toasty 76! All the details of this winterizing system will be on the blog shortly. So happy (and relieved!) that the spring seedlings will stay warm and protected. 💚 . . . . #wintergreenhouse #winterweather #coldsnap #newenglandlife #windchill #greenhouselife #greenhouselove https://www.instagram.com/p/CoNmWdyuhtP/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Today I am really feeling the wall my students face in terms of their education. It is -37 with the windchill, schools around the state have closed or allowed for early dismissal, and my students mainly walk to school, some more than 30 minutes. The district knows this, as not two weeks ago they sent around a survey about how kids are getting to and from school. My students are all new immigrants and do not all have the winter gear necessary to stay safe from this cold's obvious dangers. The district not only did not let out early, but they were also the only school system in the region to have a full day. The private schools in town are closed. The charter academies and vocational schools too. Only public school students are having to risk their extremities. If they are absent, they risk losing credit for the semester.
It feels like an equity issue. Like of course these kids are not prepared for the cold. Anyone could know that. Some of them arrived from South America, where it is literally summer, just last week. All of them are from migrant families. None of them have the years of knowledge and body resistance that other families here have. Plus the 4 absences a semester means lost credit thing makes sure that so many of these specific kids fall a grade behind and are consequently more likely to drop out. Of the 12 families in my homeroom, only 6 sent their kid in today, and those 6 are the ones who can afford taxis to drop them off at school. How do I, as a teacher who they trust, communicate their needs to those enforcing institutional inequities? Moreover, what do I do when the superintendent making the decision is also someone from our community, someone who was a newcomer student himself?

Well, it's #groundhogday...#again. Which means #sixmoreweeks of no real #winter here in #newyorkcity. Not that I'm complaining, but it is starting to get a bit unsettling that we've just had an extended #autumn. On the flipside, at least we're not experiencing the #midwest or the #south's weather right now. #climatechange #cold #freezing #windchill #nosnow #winterstorms https://www.instagram.com/p/CoKeqPVuaMq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
