My Final Interest of Metal
As a little kid in late 90s, my first small introduction to metal was listening to Test Drive 5's soundtrack on PS1. Fear Factory, Pitchshifter, Gravity Kills and KMFDM. I wasn't obsessed with it early on, but I liked them.
In 2003, I began to introduce some bands like Motley Crue, Static-X, Element Eighty, Rob Zombie, P.O.D., Papa Roach and Evanescence.
In 2004, I listened to Mudvayne, Ministry (eugh), Slipknot, Hatebreed, Rammstein and Nigthwish.
2005, there's Mastodon, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Celldweller, Korn, Linkin Park, Apocalyptica, Finch and I heard lots of 80s heavy metal bands like Judas Priest, Slayer, Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc.
2006, Atreyu, DragonForce, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, Underoath, Epica, Megadeth, Dio, Valient Thorr, etc.
2007, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, In Flames, Ozzy Osbourne's Black Rain, As I Lay Dying and Lacuna Coil, etc.
2008, Thought Industry, Coroner, Anacrusis' Screams and Whispers, Protest The Hero, Opeth, Kalmah, After Forever, Ihsahn, diSEMBOWELMENT, Reverend Bizarre, etc.
2009, August Burns Red's Constellations, Ea's II, CKY, Veil of Maya, Napalm Death, Bring Me The Horizon, Devil Sold His Soul, Liferuiner's No Saints, Hurt's Vol. 1, Family Force 5, A Day To Remember, Return to Exile, Thousand Foot Krutch's Welcome to the Masquerade and so on…
Years were passing by with a bunch of metal bands I was so into back then and I couldn't escape it.
In 2012, I noticed Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth gave up producing metal music in Heritage and he gave his thoughts about metal in FaceCulture interview.
Steven Wilson was not alone on his stance about metal in mid 2000s.
I wish I could have given up metal back in late 2000s or early 2010s, but I was a douchebag to keep me obsessed with metal.
Well, that is until I did stop in 2013 after Atoma's Skylight and Deafheaven's Sunbather.
I moved on back in late 2013.
Whether I heard the metal bands made a new metal album or song in 2014 until this year, they were…
boring.
The last metal album I thought it was so okay lately was Emma Ruth Rundle / Thou's May Our Chambers Be Full.
But still, I'll probably forget it.
Not this post.
At the time I'm writing this, electronic music and darkwave are my current obsession.
Who knows if I made the wrong decision and go back to metal in 2030?
Most likely not. That'd be kinda regressive.
I enjoyed my time to listen to metal music from the 70s to 2013.

Ozzy Osbourne Retires From Touring Whether you know him as the frontman of legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath or as the lovable goofball patriarch on The Osbournes, Ozzy Osbourne is one of the most recognizable pop culture figures in history. At 74, he may not be able to rock out like he used to. That hasn't stopped him from touring one last time. Following the European No More Tours II announcement in 2019 with fellow legends Judas Priest, it has been a rocky road. From health issues to the pandemic, a lot of factors postponed the tour several times. Fans nonetheless held out hope for the Prince of Darkness to go out with a bang.Unfortunately, there's a major setback. In a sudden statement made on January 31, Osbourne announced his retirement from touring. The news came following continued complications with a spinal injury first sustained in 2003 during a nearly fatal quad-bike accident. In 2019, the tour was first postponed because Osbourne fell in his home, aggravating the injury. Osbourne has been treating the injury ever since in hopes that he could return to the road."My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage," Osbourne said in a statement. "My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.""Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way," he continues. "My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country." Luckily, technology and the pandemic saw a rise in virtual concerts. We may get some acoustic Ozzy rocking out from the comfort of his living room for all we know. Recently, Osbourne became a grandfather again after his daughter, Kelly, welcomed her first child with Sid Wilson of Slipknot. In a recent interview with People, she shouted out her enthusiastic father who "fucking told everybody" about the sex of her baby. The Prince of Darkness can now attend to activities such as playing with his grandchildren and enjoying life with his family. Below, read Osbourne's full statement. “This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine. My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak. I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required. Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really FUCKS ME UP, more than you will ever know. Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way. My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country. I want to thank my family……my band…….my crew……my longtime friends, Judas Priest, and of course, my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have. I love you all…”Photo courtesy of Scott Dudelson/Getty Images https://www.papermag.com/ozzy-osbourne-retire-2659342453.html

Concepts for a Spiderman AU that's a pseudo-crossover with Batman.
Wilson Fisk is given an ultimatum by his wife and child that he quits crime or they're gone. He quits. He makes good with his colleagues, does a lot of paying off and quits. It's not good enough for everyone and Fisks family is taken from him. He's Batman now, because I said.
Standard Spiderman origin happens, but Peter Parker goes a bit of a darker way. Not that dark, mostly petty thievery. After beating Flash Thompson in a fight, Flash befriends Parker and they get up to stuff. Fisk stops Spidermans first really intense crime before it really begins, but recognizes his voice. Oh no, this is May's kid. Fisk has been volunteering at shelters and such since his family's demise and knows May well. Fisk convinces Peter to re-examine what he's doing.
Norman Osbourn is just the same as the Raimi version but picks a different persona than a goblin.
I'm not a writer.

Note
8, 10, 13, 15!
8) What was your first favorite song?
Oh goodness. How far back should I go? The furthest I can remember is when I was four or five. My family raised me on country music, and I knew all the words to "Redneck Woman," by Gretchen Wilson.
10) Is there any song you can't stand, even though you like the artist?
I can't think of an artist that I like whose music I hate. I asked my sister what song I can't stand, and she started singing "Payphone" by Maroon 5. This evoked a pure murderous response in me, so I guess that's the answer.
13) Is there a song that you wish was longer?
I think "Shot In the Dark" by Ozzy Osbourne could afford to be at least three times longer. Just as a treat.
15) Is there an artist you wish more people knew?
Nah, not really! I don't share music with anyone but my close friends.
