To imagine that 20 years ago I didn't think I'd live to see my 20's... But I'm still here, and I'm so happy that I am 💖 Life's been rough, and it will continue to be at times, but thankfully there's pockets of joy to be found in the chaos. It really can be as simple as a funny tag someone leaves on my art, my best friend @unicornia93 doodling something funny to cheer me up, or the boundless enthusiasm my fiance has for ANY idea I share with him or my family being their goofy but wonderful selves 😂💖

I also want to extend a sincere Thank You to everyone who's supported and followed me over the years. Every year when my birthday comes around I always wonder how I got so lucky to be blessed with great friends, a wonderful fiance and my small but loving family... And to also be part of a community both online and offline amongst kindhearted, passionate people and artists. I don't say this often enough, but I truly appreciate each and every one of you! From my regular followers who always, always like my art (yes, I see you 💖), and to my friends, family and fiance for giving encouragement and critique to help me grow as an artist and person. You guys are absolutely wonderful!! 💖🙏

I'm glad I stuck around to experience all that life has had to offer so far. Thank you for being here with me in this moment, I hope you will be here next year too 💖💐

🍂🎃 Happy Halloween 🎃🍂

I've been gone a while, life's been kinda crazy and being chronically ill makes things a bit rough sometimes, but one thing I refuse to miss out on is drawing something for Halloween! 🎃💖

Decided to draw Khalan and Willow for this year's Halloween again ☺ Ironically Willow is dressed as a witch... And being a witch, did she actually dress up? 🤔😂 Khalan is a mighty werewolf! The whole forest trembles at his fearsome howl 😂 There's an easter egg in this artwork from a previous Halloween card I made... 🤔✨

Bummed out I wasn't able to make the horror themed comic I had originally planned with Willow and Khalan for Halloween, but maybe next year!

Hope ya'll had a good start to autumn, here's to the rest of the year 🎃🍂✨

🍁 Dance pf Fairies and Gold 🍂

It's been a while since I last worked with watercolors but when @vesprynna posted her DTIYS I was very inspired to recreate it traditionally! So here is her lovely character Willow with her baby goat, deep in a autumn forest.

The fairies are acting up, a wind is howling and dark fog seeps through it. Is it the forest protecting her from something? Or is something trying to scare her away? What could it be hiding in the woods aside from this little forest witch?

I've been sitting on this illustration for a while, and what better time to share it than now when spring has finally arrived! 🥰💐 I'm slowly working on my comic Dearest, and wanted to explore Willow's character and world a bit more. She's out picking flowers for her mom Morena (and maybe for her boyfriend Khalan??) hehe 💐💖

I'm trying to refine my style, working on building up speed and efficiency to work faster in preparation for the comic... But I fear I will end up rendering it in my usual style because I enjoy it so much 🤣...

Once renovations and moving into the apartment is done I hope to be able to be more focused and work harder on developing the comic. For now I have to mostly daydream and ponder my ideas haha 🤣💖

The rain that had threatened to fall all day finally began it's decent when Willow eventually found the escaped goat.

It was standing still - too still - by the edge of the forest where the ancient part of the woods called the Old Roots began. Willow ran up to the goat and scooped it into her arms; there was no resistance from the goat. The animal was unharmed thankfully, but Willow was concerned about its seemingly paralized state.

She was torn from her thoughts as a faint blue glow appeared from the bushes. A moment later Willow's heart stopped as something far bigger than her rustled the golden leaves of the birches, and she too froze as she stood face to face with what could only be a Forest Dweller...

Reblogging this to day that after 2 years I FINALLY figured out where to take Willow and Khalan's story. We got there in the end, folks haha 🤣💖

I've written almost 4 pages of ideas for events and things I want to include into their story and I'm so excited to finally develop this little cozy world 🥰

Of course this will be a romance mixed with slice of life and quiet Ghibli moments (because I adore their reverent, slow paced "soak up the mood" scenes so so much)

I feel bad for having slept on these two for so long, but I'm looking forward to drawing them more! 💖🌳🌿🌾

Willow was abandoned in the woods as a baby, and a kind witch took her in. In her childhood Willow befriended another gentle inhabitant of the forest; a dweller named Khalan. The two of them miiiight like each other more than friends though 😌💕

I’ve been working on Willow and Khalan’s story for a little while and I haven’t gotten too far yet, but I’m plotting stuff constantly while doing other things. I’m very excited to share more with you guys hopefully soon 😤
