I loved how this little decaying samara looked like the skull of a tiny creature. The samara is probably one of a half from a bigleaf maple, as there are tons in discovery park~

I... actually do not know what this is but it caught my eye. I thought maybe some kind of wasps nest but i am unsure and did not want to get close enough to look. :'3 perhaps someone can tell me what rhis is?

lastly, what i believe to be an artist's conk, but i am a novice mushroom hunter so i am not 100% certain.

i feel like absolute shit emotionally and mentally so i was too lazy to pull out literally anything actually meant for art such as sketchbook/tablet whatever.

anyhoo.

i know he look monkey-esque but he shape shifts to what ever environment suits him at the time.

there are some features that will always be present tho and i will probs have a place showcasing them in a proper ref sheet. some day. when i stop feeling like shit.

A Cinnabar Moth~ Tyria jacobaeae

Nonnative to the state of Washington, these were apparently introduced as a biological control agent against a noxious weed called exostic tansy ragwort.

I Over-baked it a Tad

You can see the cracks from what i believe to be oved-baking? but i am not 100% sure.

Now i'm scared to paint it cuz i am worried the texturing will go away with texture of the paint 😱😱😱

We still have a little time to think on it. What are y'alls thoughts? Should I still paint it or do you think it is fine as is? And if I do paint it, what patten or color? (will likely stick to something simple regardless.)

idk if i remembered to share my dab "carvings" - sometimes when i get some dabs that isn't too wet or melty, i gradually carve it into stuffs as i smoke thru it.
