can i just say i love how you respond and interact so kindly and respectfully with your followers ? it's much appreciated

i'm not the same anon but i think you make a great point of hotch/haley and jj/will...the parallels are there, i will say that at least we got some glimpse into the background and dynamic between hotch and hailey...i agree with you will and jj was kinda just ...idk it just happened, and their interactions come off,...like they are acting 😂😭if that makes sense like the chemistry is not all the way there, in comparison with her interactions with spence or even garcia you can see real emotion and friendship there

i think her being a young mom overshadows a lot of her character development and storylines also

I have to say that I've been keeping you in my ask box for a while, cause all of this that you wrote has to do everything with the fic that I'm going to post today. There you will get to see my reasoning when I compare willfer to hotchley. And it's so great to see ask like these. But yeah, I agree with everything you said here. I hope my fic can do a little more justice than this short reply

I still remember how Will had acted in season 7, when Henry was sick, demanding JJ to be home with them..and now this happens

I'm so annoyed at the jj and will arc because all that build up and for what???? He doesnt have cancer, neither of them was even wounded in the field??? Why did i have to sit through 10 episodes of lamontagne couples therapy then???

Also im so annoyed seeing them in the field together. 1) a married couple cannot go in the field together bc its clouds their judgement 2) parents shouldnt go into the field together because it increases the chances of ORPHANING their kids 3) the show didnt even give an emotional payoff for it?????

So this episode was really good. AJ did a fantastic job directing and I love the directing style she has when it comes to her episodes

I loved all the Willfer and family scenes and omg I can’t believe how much the kids have grown up. Henry is taller than JJ lol

So glad that Tyler wasn’t in this episode but low key sad Bailey wasn’t in it either

Really wish someone would knock some sense into Garcia and tell her that her relationship is going to have repercussions for the team

Why do I feel like Luke isn’t gonna care at all that Garcia is with Tyler and they’re going to scrap Garvez. If they are might as well as give Luke a boyfriend so he isn’t alone and we can see more of his personal life

The case was interesting and the team are so close to figuring out that Lee is Elias. Can’t wait for that revelation

Rossi showing up at Sydney’s door had be shooked. So curious to see how this will turn out

CRIMINAL MINDS FANDOM GIFT EXCHANGE 2022

Welcome friends + fans of Criminal Minds to the 2022 fandom gift exchange. Hit that follow button - wheels up in 17 (days).

Firstly, what is a fandom gift exchange I hear you ask? That’s simple. It’s like Secret Santa, but instead of receiving a candle that someone got from their grandma last Christmas and didn’t want, you get a fan creation made (or written) just for you.

Okay, so how does it work? Everyone will both receive a gift, and create a gift. After the 12th, you will get a DM from us with the details of your recipient’s wish list, so you can get started. There will be a week’s window to post your gifts - starting Dec 19th - and you can choose to do this publicly on tumblr or AO3, or via direct message.

Do I get to choose my own recipient/Santa? You will be assigned both a recipient and a Santa based on your answers to the form at the end of this post. You will be matched by the ships and characters you’re willing to create for/wish to receive works about, the content you’re able to create or wish to receive, and any other factors we think might be relevant. This is so you don’t end up having to write a story for a character you don’t like, or a ship you can’t tolerate. We’ll ensure that you also don’t receive anything that might be triggering, upsetting, or inappropriate in terms of rating - as these are all things you’ll answer about on the form.

Okay so what fan works are allowed? FanFiction (anything over 1000 words), fanart, video edits, fanmixes (min. 8 tracks) and creative gif sets will all be accepted as gifts - the important thing being you should present something you yourself would be happy to receive (in terms of quality, a finished piece etc.) In the form, you can select preferences for these, as well as letting us know what type of creation you’re willing to gift. We will match you to your recipient and Santa through this.

We are allowing NSFW content in this exchange, however, as minors will also be allowed to participate, please read the info of your recipient very carefully to ensure you don’t gift someone something inappropriate. Also be sure to use the community guidelines on tumblr, and the rating system on Ao3 (if applicable) to ensure this content is seen by the correct eyes!

You will receive a DM from this page on the 13th assigning you your recipient, including all the info stated in the form. No personal or private information will be corresponded! Thoughts on Willfer and Hotchley?

Hotchgan or Moreid?

I like Willfer, I think they're cute and I love Will's accent even if I can't understand some of it without the subtitles.

Hotchley, I really really love. And (this is not directed at you in any way) I really dislike the way a lot of people seem to think you have to choose "sides" because I can like Hotch and still think Haley wanting a divorce was reasonable. She married him presumably during/after college when he was a prosecutor, not FBI, and then being head of a unit is definitely a step up from just working for the bureau. They're really cute in the earlier seasons though and I like to think about their relationship for any childhood/teenage headcanons or fics of Hotch. Also the cheating thing was really hastily crammed in there and I think it's a stupid plot point, if you can even call it that.

Moreid is admittedly the Reid ship I can put up with the most but I'm not that interested in him so it's not my first choice of ship.

Hotch and Morgan though, I love them.
