night alarm. l Joel Miller
Tumblr media
Summary: the danger has come
Warnings: angst, fluff, hiding pregnancy, Jackson is attacked. guns, shooting, fire, one dead,
A/N:
your feedback is very important to me and I thank you for all the reblogs, comments and likes. 🖤 sorry for all the mistakes
short stories from life. [masterlist]
The next few days passed with palpable tension. Joel had been assigned to guard one of the entrance gates, and patrols left Jackson much more often. Despite your desire, you knew that no one would let you do anything really important. No watches, no patrols, nothing that would tire you out or require much effort. You didn’t fight with Joel or anyone else.
“You’re already doing the most important work, honey,” he said one evening as he went on watch. “Stay home. I’ll feel better knowing you’re here.”
So you stayed. Sometimes you’d visit him on watch, bringing him warm coffee, but the weather was so bad that Joel never let you stay there longer than that.
When the magic date of your second trimester passed, you both breathed a sigh of relief. “We should tell Ellie. She’ll start guessing soon.” You said, looking at the calendar full of crossed-out days.
“We will. When she finally shows up at home.” Joel responded, putting on his jacket.
It was getting dark outside and snow was slowly falling. Joel finally gathered his things and, getting ready to leave, he gave you one more look. The corner of his mouth lifted. "You know... I knew we'd make it this time, but I'm still very happy."
"Me too." You gently touched your belly, which was barely visible for now, but to you it was the center of the world. "Be careful, Joel."
One last kiss and he was gone.
Something suddenly tore you from your sleep. An indescribable explosion, and then another one. You jumped out of bed and ran to the window. What you saw seemed terrifying to you - the fence visible from your window was burning in one place, the sound of the bell echoed throughout the neighborhood, and people ran out into the street. You didn't wait long.
In the darkness, you ran out into the hallway and into Ellie's room.
"Ellie!"
But when you reached the bed, when you grabbed the blanket, you understood immediately - the bed was empty. Ellie probably didn't come back for the night. You fell asleep waiting for her.
Shit.
The sound of the bell pounded in your ears, and you felt your heart doing the same in your chest. Joel had to be alert, you didn't know what was going on there. Ellie left the house, and you promised not to move from there.
"Fuck!" you hissed, throwing yourself around the room, but finally made a decision.
You ran back to the bedroom and quickly started getting dressed. After you zipped up your pants, you went to the closet and took down the box that was lying on the back of the top shelf. Joel kept his revolver there. You started loading it when you heard the front door slam.
"Ellie?!" you screamed, grabbing the extra bullets and quickly leaving the room. You ran down the stairs. "Ellie! Thank God you're here! Joel said we should stay here and..." You looked around and saw someone standing in the middle of the living room. It wasn't Ellie.
It all started so suddenly that Joel didn't immediately realize what was happening. First the sound of the doorbell tore through the darkness of the night, then he heard an explosion and saw fire. At the same time, shots rang out at the side gate. Adrenaline immediately rushed through his blood. People were running, shouting orders, passing weapons to each other.
“They hit the side wall! A few got through!” Jesse shouted.
“Tell Tommy!” Joel shouted back, and pointed to a few men standing next to him. “Come with me! We could use some backup!”
He didn’t have to say it twice. They got into the car and headed toward the burning fence. It wasn’t until they were in the car that Joel realized something that hit him so hard his heart almost stopped—your house was close to where the attackers had broken through.
The lights of another car behind them flashed in the side mirror. No one knew how many had gotten through, but there was no way to risk it. When they stopped at the fence, Joel tightened his grip on his rifle and got out.
“We need to secure this place!” Tommy shouted as he climbed out of the other car. “Move! Move!”
“Do you think there could be more of them?”
“I have no idea. We should check every house, every closet.” He watched the group of men put out the fire, but a moment later someone ran up to them. An older man who lived nearby was wearing a jacket over his pajamas and holding a baseball bat.
“Seven or ten,” he gasped. “They ran between the houses. People barricaded themselves inside, but you never know.”
Tommy looked at the graying man. “Are you sure?”
"Yeah, I saw them from the window. I have trouble sleeping, and the noise was really loud," he confirmed.
Tommy looked at Joel. "We'll have to look around the area. We need more men. It's still a few hours until dawn." Something in his brother's gaze suddenly made him uneasy. He'd seen something like that in his brother's eyes before. He wanted to say something, but then he heard Jesse.
"Ellie?! What the hell are you doing here?"
"I was at Dina's, we were watching some movies and... What the fuck happened?" she said, "Joel?"
Joel stared at her, speechless. If Ellie was here, that meant you were home alone. He turned, looking in the direction where your house stood, a few streets apart. An icy chill ran down his spine.
"We caught two of them! The third one is dead!" someone called out from the darkness.
Tommy was saying something, but he couldn't hear him anymore. The blood was rushing in his ears and his legs were moving on their own. Then he remembered running down the street where people were coming out, where there was constant traffic. But he had to know, had to know that you were safe, that his fears were unfounded. After all, your house wasn't that close to the fence, the chance that someone would reach you, that they would choose this house.
When Joel ran onto your street, he saw the house in darkness. He almost calmed down. He heard Ellie and Dina screaming, trying to catch up with him. Behind them, one of the cars was approaching him.
He took a deep breath, filling his aching lungs with air, it only took a few seconds, and then, as he took a few steps, he heard a shot. And another one, and another.
He didn't remember how he got to the porch. The door almost fell off its hinges when he hit it with his shoulder, breaking the lock. Silence. The darkness and silence were terrifying.
He shouted your name. He saw an overturned chair, some junk scattered on the floor. He heard a noise in the hallway, and went in that direction. In the light of the car headlights that came through the window, he saw you sitting against the wall, still clutching his revolver in your hand.
"Baby!"
In the blink of an eye, he was by your side, kneeling and taking your face in his hands. You were terrified, but you were alive. It took him a moment to see the body of a man lying nearby.
"I thought it was Ellie..." you said quietly, "He surprised me..."
"Did he do something to you?" Joel asked, brushing your hair away from your face, "Are you hurt?"
You shook your head. "He wanted to, but... I had your gun."
"My girl."
Tears welled up in your eyes. Joel hugged you without hesitation, feeling your hands tighten around his jacket. You were safe, you were alive.
Footsteps on the porch signaled that others had arrived at the house as well. Ellie looked like she was on the verge of despair as she fell into your arms.
"You're a fucking badass!" she sobbed. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry you were alone."
You hugged her tightly. "You're safe, that's the most important thing." You kissed her on the head. Joel's gaze met yours. The question he wanted to ask you was clear in his eyes. "I'm really okay."
"You should go to the clinic. Morris will check if you and the baby..."
"Baby?!" Ellie sat up and looked at Joel as if he had gone crazy. Her gaze shifted to your face. "Are you... Again? Really?!"
"This is not how you should find out, I'm sorry." You sighed, but Ellie didn't let you finish.
"I'll take you to the clinic. Me and Dina."
Joel nodded. "You'll stay there until I come get you." Seeing your look, he quickly added, "You'll wait for me there. We have to make sure we catch them all."
You knew there was no point in arguing with Joel and you didn't even want to. So you let them take you to the clinic, and Ellie and Dina didn't leave your side for a moment. When Morris examined you and did the ultrasound, both girls were absolutely thrilled when they saw the faint shape on the screen.
"A baby..." Ellie whispered, her eyes widening, "How can someone be so fucking small?"
"You know the baby can hear you too?" Morris asked, still staring intently at the screen.
"Shit! Sorry."
“Don’t worry.” He smiled at Ellie before turning to you. “Everything seems fine. The baby’s growing. How are you feeling?”
“Good. I’m a little more sleepy, but I don’t have any nausea or other discomfort.”
“You almost threw up your stomach last time.” Ellie noticed, and Dina nudged her in the side. “What? That’s true!”
Morris turned off the equipment and handed you some tissues to wipe your stomach. “I think you’re fine. Stay here until the situation in the city clears up. Will Joel come get you?” You nodded. “Good. You’ll get a room and you can rest.”
One of the nurses led you to a room. The clinic was quiet, and the dawn was slowly breaking outside. You weren't sure how long it would take to catch everyone who attacked Jackson. But here you were safe, although your heart was still with Joel and the others.
"So, a baby, huh?" Ellie sat down on the bed.
Dina went to look for something warm to drink and eat, and for the first time you were truly alone. You turned to the girl and smiled slightly.
"What do you think, Ellie?" you asked in a quiet voice.
"That's good, right? I mean, it's like a second chance. Are you afraid?"
"So fucking much." you laughed. "But I guess there's no other way. I just hope that this time..."
"This time everything will be fine, you'll see." the girl interrupted you. You could see the concern in her eyes, but also the certainty of what she was saying: “Joel will take care of you, and I… won’t let anything happen to you or that kid.”
You felt tears well up in your eyes, and your throat tightened painfully. But she noticed, stood up, and came over to hug you.
“You’re going to be fat,” she mumbled, and you giggled. “And Joel will still be crazy about you. You’ll be great parents. You already are.”

⋆.˚ ★—Anaxa x Reader
Tumblr media
Contents: How does Anaxa comfort you, and how does he react to you comforting him?
A/n: Good luck on your pulls!! Words:539
Masterlist ✦ Rules ✦ Ko-Fi
Tumblr media
˚☽˚.⋆Comforting you
-Anaxa doesn't look like he knows how to comfort, probably comes off as too blunt, too harsh, too cold, too this or that, too logical in a field that needs tact and sentiment. However, that is not wholly true. He does understand when someone need a gentler hand, or a shoulder to lean on
-Perhaps it can go without saying, but, he doesn't ever go out of his way to really harass/insult anyone, he doesn’t have the time to go on witch hunts and only gets confrontational when met with ignorance or clear disrespect, and so when he's in a relationship with someone he loves all his otherwise snappy qualities turn into heavy attempts at being more empathetic or at least more warm
-He does prefer when you come to him with problems that can be solved or on which he can give his insight on from a more logical perspective, at least that way he can help you best. But with emotional issues he goes more quiet, simply listening to you talk and vent and rant, sometimes offering a few words if you seem to be looking for a quick input, but largely he stays quiet until you're done. Then he does his best to find some common ground between logic and emotion
-He's not clueless, just trying to be gentle with you. He'd also offer to have your head in his lap and run his fingers through your hair, like you do to him. He also rubs your shoulders while you're there
-Makes you tea or if you're feeling particularly rough and visibility crumbling, he throws in some stronger medicine to help you relax
˚☽˚.⋆You comforting him
-Anaxa is shit at receiving comfort as his first habit when he's distressed is to run to his work or to his room and isolate until he has found the solution himself. He buries himself in his work 90% of the time, and the other, rare, 10% is when he's around his grave or under the shade of Cerce’s great shade, pondering about the future and what ifs in silence
-He's stiff as a plank when you offer comfort, he does feel rather weak and vulnerable when he knows you noticed his shift in demeanor, which truth be told - it is not that hard to tell apart when he’s simply frustrated or when he’s genuinely feeling down
-Although that doesn't mean he doesn't grow to really appreciate your concern and often does try to ease your mind, by at least sharing a room while you both work at your own work. He doesn't want to neglect his time with you either, yet it is hard for him to wholly accept it too
-He does prefer more subtle approaches at comforting him, simple questions or gestures like you making him a lunch box and sliding it to him for example, or simply giving him that knowing look of yours. Nothing over the top but enough to let him know he's loved and cared for, he's not alone and if he pushes this away he'd only be hurting someone, someone he loves, and he doesn’t want that. He can’t lose you due to his selfishness and neglect. He won’t

Holding the curtains to the side, Klaus gazed out of the window, the ghosts of the past not so visible anymore in the heavy mist that sat upon the empty acres of land that held nothing but dead grass as well as the dead, gone and buried.
It was so early in the morning that it felt like early winter, and the moon was still visible, looking so soft that its sight took all the weight of grief off the watcher's heart.
The collar of his cotton shirt ruffled as a gust of wind passed him by and touched the cold skin of his wife who lay in bed, gazing at him with the tired eyes that didn't catch a blink of sleep in the centuries that they have shown her the terrors and the romanticised of the world.
He smiled, already turning to walk over to her side of the bed. He knelt on the hardwood floor, ignoring it's creaking as he leaned in to press a kiss to her ear lobe, one that chased her mouth.
More of the wind rushed inside the room but neither of them paid much mind to it, for the cold didn't bother them much. Y/n kissed him back, giggling because it seemed that his mouth was eager to wander to places that might be more sinful than the true existence of their kind.
"When do you have to leave?" Y/n asked, breathless as Klaus intertwined his fingers with hers, and saddened because of the inevitable.
"In a few hours," Klaus suggested as he raised the skirt of her night gown while he himself slipped lower and lower until Y/n had to raise the sheets with her hand to look into his eyes as he bit into her thigh close enough to her heat to make her eyes to roll into the back of her skull.
Her palm traced the valleys of his face, feeling the highs and the lows to keep herself from transcending somewhere else while his mouth traced and lapped at her sweetness that was mentioned instead as poison in one of the books that she'd read in some of her earlier days.
"Klaus," she heaved his name as he quickened his pace, his eyes boring into hers, putting on a veil of innocence that they had lost even before they'd been first witness to the world.
Y/n believed that she'd lost her innocence the moment her mother had died while giving birth to her.
Air escaped her lungs all at once as she felt herself release and her hands clutched the unruly curls on the top of Klaus' head. Her hips lifted off the bed, meeting and escaping his mouth at the same time while a certain kind of dizziness took over her, making her feel like a leaf drifting slowly and slowly, off the tree, towards the earth.
Her mouth instinctively kissed back his lips, and she turned the two of them, so she was sitting on top of him. A grin took over her mouth, her eyes crinkling on the corners as she kissed up his chest and wandered off with her trail sideways.
Y/n inhaled softly and deeply upon his neck, sinking her cunning teeth into his hardened skin until she felt some warmth gush into her mouth. His blood coated her tongue like a thick syrup, sweet and addictive.
She sucked and more of it came flowing. In fact, so much of it came that she felt some slipping down the corners of her mouth. So, she backed away, licking the edges of her mouth with her head thrown back, letting the air fill her lungs and kick back in her senses.
The soft caress of Klaus' hand on the back of her head made her look down again, at his face that had her saying she knew what an angel looks like.
The black oblivion in his eyes that promised her a soulmate to spend the rest of eternity with sucked her in. Soon she was turning into corner after corner in a labyrinth, beginning to race in the fear that she was being chased until she found herself leaning against a wall while Klaus pulled on the laces of her corset, pulling hard enough to make Y/n suspicious that he just intended to pull her into him.
She looked into the mirror and caught a glimpse of his smirk, squinting at him when he met her gaze in their reflection.
"I really wish you could accompany me on the ride to the masquerade," she whispered, closing her eyes when she felt his fingers tap their way to the clasp of her necklace and lock it properly.
"I am your escort at the ball, love," he sighed, kissing the back of her head. "Have trust in me, you'll be fine," he murmured against her hair, smelling the faint scent of white Lilies and apples.
Far from the smell of the decaying bodies that he'd have to pass on his way to the city of New Orleans in a short while, though.
Y/n shut her eyes, wanting to protest that nothing when she's left behind, all on her own, stays fine. Instead, she gave a tight nod and turned to cup his face in her palms.
"Miss me," she grinned against the deep maroon of his lips, her laugh echoing when he kissed her passionately. And then she sighed, feeling the silage, her hand tracing the impression made in space where Klaus was once standing; now gone.
Sighing, she trailed down the stairs noiselessly -- it was an art she'd perfected during her time in the isolated estate.
She lit a lantern because despite it being daytime, not even a ray of light fell to the dead ground through the heavy fog that seemed to have settled on their property overnight.
Y/n shook her head, forcing herself to get out of her head and to fix the ragged rhythm of her breathing. While at that, she noticed a cobweb in the corner of the ceiling, instantly making a mental note to get Klaus to clean it up. She'd never felt an attachment to the spiders, though she respected their talent of weaving so masterfully and passionately.
Not enough to not ruin their work, though.
With faintly trembling hands, she picked the lantern off the dining table that could host an entire committee. She turned to walk back over to the main door, eyes settled on the minute details carved into the mansion's main door frame.
Forgetting the keys on the hook screwed to the wall, she looked closely, like she did every single day in the hopes of finding something new. Something tugged at the corner of her mouth when she caught a rose with a dagger stabbed through its middle, designed intricately into the door’s handle.
Smiling in satisfaction, she backed away and – the keys were gone. Y/n had seen them hung on the corner-most hook out the five, but now all of them were empty.
"The house spirits don't want you to leave," whispered her grandmother.
Y/n's head snapped to her side, the door was closed, the air still.
"Leave out some honey for them, perhaps, you can negotiate," she chuckled dryly, and Y/n scrambled to do as told before something more precious was taken from her; even though her grandmother has been dead for centuries and only talks to her when she's alone.
Almost dropping the plate in her hurry, Y/n slid the honey filled utensil in the middle of the table before rushing out of the door.
She exhaled sharply, almost choking on her own saliva as she raced away from the mansion, unable to calm herself down as the image of the keys hung on the hook right before she shut the door with her eyes widened in fear, flashed across her mind.
Klaus had only been away for a half an hour and already things were beginning to take a sinister turn. She took a shuddering breath, forcing her mind to focus on Klaus so that the stone inside her chest doesn't burst into a million tiny shards and she ends up dead because of a thousand cuts.
She brought up the lantern to her eyesight and sighed -- the flame had gone out somewhere amidst her rush.
But she had been in the woods before, she knew her way like the patterns in Klaus' hair. Smiling to manipulate herself, she strolled forward, eyes settled on the trees.
The acres of land on which the mansion stood like a ship on ocean waves, was tucked away under the thick fog when Y/n turned around to see it. But even in the dark blurriness, Y/n saw the tiny flowers dotted throughout the open fields. They were going to die soon, she sighed and walked on.
Then she began to run to catch a leaf that the wind plucked off of a tree.
Some dead, some changing colours, some still green while others had already transitioned into shades of orange or brown. All of the trees would all be lifeless soon, with no leaves or flowers on them, and Y/n will once again find comfort in the death that will encapsulate everything around her.
Maybe eat some of the pomegranates off the trees that will still be bearing some happiness in order to taunt her existence.
Far away in the distant, Y/n could see more huge estates. They seemed abandoned, worn, lived in by ghouls and frustrated spirits. She wondered if sprites and pixies ever giggled away nights in the unkempt properties, but she stole her gaze from the architectures before they could lure her in.
To spend her time alone feeling as normal as she could, she began to think of the love of her life, of Klaus and of how they came to be. And it began something like this...
It was the year 1047 in Russia, and the colour in Y/n's face had settled so deep that there was no life left in her skin.
She traced her cheeks, eyes widely aghast as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. There was nothing under her skin, except for an unsettling silence. There was no rush of blood, or thrumming of her anxious heart so loud in her ears that she felt like she was going to die, instead of smiling at the reminder that she was still alive.
She wished now though, that she had celebrated when her heartbeats came to stutters because she couldn't breathe. Because now, as she tried to find a pulse, she slipped her hand from her neck to the skirts of her gown.
There was nothing in her to prove that she wasn't a living corpse. Her skin was cold, hardened and ridden of all colours.
This couldn't have been. She wasn't a human anymore, and the more she saw of herself, the more rumours about Vampires echoed in her mind. If she was a vampire, then she quickly needed to find another one to survive. And she needed to flee town in order to escape her father, who would probably not even realise her absence in the misery of remembering her late mother.
So, with erratic breathing, she'd rushed back to her room and pulled out the one big handbag she had. She threw in as much as she could, including a large shawl, her night clothes, her warm woollen as well as her silk hood. She rolled two of her dresses somehow to fit, and ran to steal a bottle of her father's brandy and some camphor. He wouldn't know until he would run out of his current bottle, and Y/n won't be there to blame or to conspire with then.
Chanting under her breath for God's mercy, she ran into her bathroom and gathered all of her essentials such as tooth and nail brushes, soap, hairbrush, hairpins, her handy mirror and a towel off the hook.
Hungry because of her state of extreme breathlessness and panic, she packed some crackers and the sandwiches she had made earlier in her lunch and closed the chain of the bag. It was going to be hard to run with it on her arm, but she knew that what would be more hard was death.
She was going to be seen as the thing at the feast or at the sacrifice, and then, she wasn't even going to be seen because people would either burn her or bury her alive. And there was a possibility that she could take one wrong step, and the rumour that was a vampire's existence, would become more of a reality – which would lead to mass murder, of the hiding vampires and likely some innocents who had done no wrong in life but suffer at the hands of it.
She ran through the streets in the middle of the day, where everyone was too busy or too ignorant to be concerned about her. Her house was fairly close to the state of Kievan Rus' and she cried tears of joy for God's blessing as she ran, surprisingly not out of breath.
She ran with the wind throughout the day and night, as silently as she could, not wanting to draw any attention until she reached her destination. And it was on the third morning that she finally came to a stop on the land of Kyiv Koenugarr, the capital of the state that stood on the Dnieper River, the one that flowed to the Black Sea.
For the first time in three days, she smiled. Her breaths came to a faint pace as she stopped by in one of the guest houses to clean up. She knew that she needed to look good enough to convince the one person she had hoped in her heart would help her escape.
She didn't need to rest to get even a blink of sleep, but just out of old habit, she lay down on the soft bedding and shut her eyes to stop the racing of her mind. She could think when she wasn't so much on the edge regarding the fact that she didn't even feel burnt out after so much.
The corners of her eyes moistened as she realised that she wouldn't be missed back home. Maybe the little boy who lived next door would be saddened, but he would forget her too. He was too small to remember disappearance, Y/n hoped. She should have said goodbye to him at least, but maybe that was supposed to be her life's regret.
When the sun came back up, Y/n pulled out the one dress she had laid under the mattress during the night in hopes of getting it a bit decent and dressed herself. She put colour on her mouth and on her cheeks, and kohl on her eyelashes while hinting some of it on the line above.
She needed to look good for this, in case she had to do some convincing or begging. She hoped that she could just threaten, but she wouldn't do that to him who she essentially considered her brother.
She rubbed the one herbal mixture that she had on herself in some places and the fragrance of Saffron, Rosemary and Musk hit her senses all at once. Centering herself, she packed her bag again and began her stroll to find a cart, to where she knew he would be.
"I need to go to the docks!" She shouted over the harsh wind at the man, and he urged her to climb into the cart. "Thank you," she said now that she was behind him.
He nodded and began to move forward, going faster with the help of the forceful wind. It didn't seem like the man minded silence too much, so she kept quiet much to her liking and began an inner monologue to decide how she was going to ask him.
The time passed quicker than she could come to a conclusion though, so she stepped off and handed the man a kuna with a gentle nod for a thank you. She hoped she could find a mirror to maybe fix her hair a bit but she was found too soon for that convenience.
"And what in the world are you doing here?"
He asked, a frown and a smile adorning his features at the same time.
Happiness surged through her body like a gust of wind at seeing his face. It felt like he'd almost lifted her spirits.
"Nikolai!"
She rushed over to him, wrapping her arms around him as tightly as she could. She giggled when he began to swerve the two of them from side to side.
"You're clearly here for a reason so how about you tell me before I set off?" He said, nodding his head towards the awaiting ship.
A worry settled deep in her stomach. She began fidgeting.
"Will you take me with you?" She asked in a whisper because she knew how absurd this might sound to him.
He gripped her shoulders a little tighter.
"The ships are full of Vikings, Y/n. Don't be a fool," he gritted, his fingers leaving a wrinkle on the puff of her dress' sleave.
"But you are going to be with me, so I'll be fine!" She insisted.
Nikolai pinched the bridge of his nose, shaking his head.
Sighing, he began, "why do you want to go to Europe all of a sudden?"
She swallowed. "To start over, you know? And it sounds nice over there, a change would be good," she shrugged.
Y/n knew that he could sense her lying but when he didn't press her about it, she took a breath of relief.
Nikolai turned to walk, but just because of her nature, she gripped his arm from behind.
When he turned with intrigue, and saw worry settled in her big eyes, he hugged her again.
"I'll take care of you like my little sister, Solnishko (sunshine)," he whispered against her hair, and Y/n shut her eyes to force herself calm down. She had known him since her childhood, and she knew deep down that she trusted him more than she trusted her own father.
Backing away a couple steps, she let him take her bag from her hand. Squaring her shoulders, Y/n nodded, which Nikolai copied.
They shared a glint of excitement and nervousness in their gazes and passed each other a wide grin before making a run for the ship that was going to leave any minute now.
Y/n hadn't realised that while deep in her memory, she had come to a halt in front of the frozen lake. So when she heard the crunch of leaves, while she stood alone and completely still, her head whipped to scan her surroundings.
No one, in sight. Y/n knew better than to not trust her intuition so she focused in on all of her senses, there was no smell of blood, no sound of a beating heart, no sight of anyone, no feeling other than of being watched and nothing to touch but her own cold skin.
It had to be a vampire, if anyone.
With an unease, she started on her walk back home. She knew she could face whoever it was and get it over within seconds. But when she reached home unharmed, she felt like she might've just been going insane since she was alone.
She felt insane a lot of the time that she was alone, so with frustration settling deep in her belly, she went over to the room that she had locked the entire oblivion in. The library room.
Most of the books were read there, but when Klaus returned from his entrepreneurial ventures, he always brought back with him some new ones that he just had an instinct she was going to love. And she did mostly end up loving the stories so much that it felt as if they’d claimed a part of her – she'd never tell that to Klaus though, since he might just destroy all literature in the mansion in order to keep her all to himself.
Her eyes glanced at the two stopped clocks in the room and she shook her head because of the reminder that they might as well be haunted since she can't get them to work right for more than two sunsets.
As she sank in the deep green sofa with a worn hardback in her lap, a deep melancholy took over her. Her body felt so weak to the bones that it could've decomposed right there on the expensive furniture.
Suddenly, her grandmother, dressed in all black appeared at the doorway of the room. Y/n thought she had closed the door behind her.
The old woman walked in like she was silently praying on a child in a game to catch her, and stopped right in front of Y/n whose eyes felt hooded and a little too heavy. She took her hand and dropped something from her fist into her open palm.
Y/n brought it back to see for herself, and a gurgling sound escaped from her throat. She choked back on her saliva as the word 'MONSTER' was beginning to slowly be engraved in her palm, the inscription cutting her skin so deep that she fell off the sofa in pain, gripping her hand tightly as she tried to escape, and ended up falling on her bed.
With heavy breaths wreaking havoc inside her lungs, Y/n wiped the cold sweat on her skin on the bed sheets as she turned to lie on Klaus' side of bed. Inhaling deeply, she kept her eyes shut while her entire body shook in tremors and her mind began to show her the flashes of her sweet, well cherished moments spent with her head tucked away in Klaus' chest.
She really wished she could have a drop of his blood, then. Saliva pooled on her tongue, but she swallowed thickly, not allowing herself even the thought of taking a sip from the bottle that he always left behind for her.

It was the 18th century, and Y/n didn't know quite know how to feel when the Pope declared her species as fallacious fictions of humankind. She had sighed deeply, breathing out the tension in her frame as she prepared herself to live a life without chewing her fingers ever again – not because people had potentially known of Vampire's existence, but because she was too paranoid to not fear somehow getting wound up in the theories and be burned on the stake only for her ashes to be fed to some sick family man considered bitten by a vampire.
But she'd also felt her lifeless heart be struck by sadness upon the realisation that she might not ever be accepted by anyone apart from her own species -- who had the foul habit of keeping itself so secretive that Y/n began feeling lonely even in a room full of people.
Then the 19th century rolled around, arguably the worst time period for a human to be alive according to Y/n. She seemed to have a realisation that if this century was going to be associated with one thing, it would be diseases and deaths.
Everyone in the town was always sick and someone was dying each hour. The ones who weren't actively dying, were so obsessed with the notion of death they essentially manifested it in their fate.
Tired of the ongoing death streak, Y/n ran away to the English Countryside. But because she was too lonely and had too much of the torturous time on her hands, she began to despise the fact that she was never going to have the peace that came with death, with the end – ever.
Feeling like she was going to kill herself if she spent another fleeting second in her own company, she found herself back in the main city, preoccupying herself among the aristocrats.
Then years later, the last Vampire Scare occurred in the late 19th century. While people weren't quick to put labels, the town affairs spread in whispers sounding similar to the fluttering wings of a Goldfinch.
But then, when the horrors of Vampires finally bit the dust, being declared as nothing but a myth blew out the one final flicker of hope inside Y/n's chest that longed for connections where the humans would tell her about their history and their folklores themselves instead of her having to read their biassed books in which they painted a portrait using their best colours.
No matter how much she hated being a myth, Y/n loved reading stories about the blood-sucking Roman vampires, and the German Nachzehrer, who harmed the living through "sympathetic magic" from afar.
Y/n loved to debate with Klaus just like humans did with each other, upon who were the English Vampires most like -- The Romanians or The Germans. All because it seemed to be a hot topic among the historians, folklorists, theologists and who not, that like Romanians, New Englanders "were looking for liquid blood in the vital organs, not evidence of shroud chewing." The anti-vampire remedy of "cutting the heart out, burning it to ashes and feeding the ashes to the sick ones" was also something that was practiced in Romania.
But what quite disgusted Y/n was the fact that the sole reason humans even knew of Vampires was because they were brainless and attracted diseases like flowers honey bees during springtime; and also because they feared the said diseases and desired to have control over it in some way, or at least to feel like they did.
Since then, whenever a new resurgence of ‘Vampires are real’ rumours flowed, Y/n chose to ignore it. Because in the current day and age, the resurfacing of the supernatural was simply because of its glorification and romanticisation in the literature; and of course, just an human’s itch to dig into the past.

The music echoed throughout the mansion as Y/n's fingers danced across the keys of the grand piano. There weren't any notes sitting on top for Y/n to read from, she was simply playing what she'd known and what was coming to her as she played.
Moonlight poured in through barred windows that stood on the grounds and touched the ceilings. Something in the back of her mind was telling her that someone was watching her, but she ignored the warning sign, tired of her hallucinations and tired of trying to decipher between what was real and what wasn't.
Her own mind playing tricks on her wasn't something she dealt with very well. It felt like a betrayal, by whom, she couldn't tell. But it was unfair, that not everyone had to constantly decipher their experiences as real or not.
In the moment, all she knew was that as long as the music was flowing and she was hitting the notes remarkably well, she and everything surrounding her was real. Though she'd been told that her playing could bring the dead back, she tried not to think about it.
Frustrated because of the nagging thought of having a watcher, Y/n wondered if the pressing of her fingers on the keys will ever not be soothing for her. Gradually, she felt something rushing within her, something taking over her senses as the sounds hit the tall walls and reverberated back into her ears with violent vibrations that she hated to feel – she felt overcome.
Her fingers started to move on their own, quickening the pace when she reached the beat drop and realised, the answer was yes.
She pulled herself back from the grand piano like it had electrocuted her. Wild eyes and frantic breathing, Y/n waited for the silence to settle and encapsulate her.
Standing up, she took hold of the candelabra that had been sitting on the top of the piano, and climbed up the stairs in the candle's unreliable, flickering light. There was no light in this part of the mansion, the moonlight didn't reach in the back and Y/n felt a breath down her spine as she opened the library room's door.
She didn't walk in right away though. She spared a wry glance to her right, at the other room’s door that was locked. It was night time and she didn't want to be flooded with the horrifying memories of her past that was withheld in that room. But still, the images of Klaus draining bodies in that very room flashed in front of her eyes – causing her to clench them shut and skip inside the library without a second thought.
Picking up the book she'd dropped on the floor earlier, she shut the door quietly and held the skirts of her dress in order to make a run towards the master bedroom. She felt safe in the company of the candle's flame that hadn't gone out in her hurry and she sat in her bed, no longer scared and no longer around; transported into a realm where she was a little human girl skidding through the forest wearing a red cloak, on the way to her grandmother's home when she comes across a sly wolf!
—--
Y/n was standing just outside the door, hiding behind the wall with a cloth to her mouth. Sobs threatened to leave her mouth similarly to how the tears were escaping her eyes, sliding down her cheeks and falling into pools on the ancient flooring.
Sounds of mouths biting into necks, tearing through skin and splintering bones echoed through the chambers. The halls of the mansion were built like those of Cathedrals, tall in order to make a sound boom and echo.
She clenched her eyes shut when another body fell to the ground, lifeless. Daring to peek inside despite her fragile heart, Y/n's mouth fell open as the scene unfolded in front of her.
Klaus was sitting on the one and only chair in the room, looking nothing less than a king sitting on his throne. In front of him, the rest of the hall was full of vampires – sucking on each other.
Some had bitten into another's wrist while they were being fed upon at their neck. Every single soulless body standing in the room had its teeth bared, looking for a life to take whilst theirs was already being drained away by one of their own.
"Faster!" Klaus roared and everyone began to draw blood from one another as if their life depended on it.
Which it did according to what Y/n heard next.
"Remember puppies, if you wish to live, you'll have to drain as many bodies as you can!" He spoke loudly, a wide malicious grin on his mouth.
Y/n sank low upon the grounds, frozen until her eyes met with one of the vampires.
A blood-curdling scream escaped her throat and Y/n felt like all of the blood was rushing to her head. She clutched it, lowering further into the ground in hopes of diminishing the pain but her vision began to fade instead.
She saw Klaus watching her, held for ransom by fate as Y/n fell to the ground, her last sight being of the vampires still feeding like they were at a feast.
When she woke up, Klaus was sitting at the foot of the bed. A book in his hands but not a word was he able to utter when she asked him what the book was about.
He shut it and tossed it across the bed, holding the bridge of his nose as Y/n looked at him through hooded eyes.
"I asked you of one thing," he began. "I asked you not to walk by the room until dusk."
His teeth were clenched, and Y/n could tell by the waver in his voice that he was trying with all of his might to not smash the furniture in the room.
She hoped that he would keep trying, that she wouldn't have to see the black in his eyes represent the devil rather than the peaceful oblivion she saw in them because she wanted to spend it with him.
"Then why, tell me love, were you there?"
"Don't talk to me like I'm a child," Y/n croaked out, stealing her gaze from him to look away.
"But what you did was childish!"
"And you were a monster!" Y/n shouted, now sitting up in the bed with her fists clenching the mattress.
Klaus stood still for a moment, then scoffed.
"I'm the monster?" He asked, his voice so light it sent a wave of regret through Y/n's chest.
"Klaus --"
"No, Y/n," Klaus swallowed, now pacing across the room. "They tried to steal you from me and I'm the one being called the monster for doing to them little of what they deserve for the horror they put you through."
"Klaus, you didn't need to take the blood on your hands. I would've taken my revenge, and you know that," Y/n said.
"Alright then. Fair enough," nodding, Klaus came to a halt. "Let's put it this way – I took my revenge because I love you and I thought I lost you. That thought pained me to the point of no comparison so I took my revenge," he shrugged.
"If you desire, you can take your revenge. I'm sure they are still alive with the speed that they seemed to have lost," Klaus gestured back towards the room.
Y/n clenched her eyes shut. "Lock the room, Klaus," she asked him.
With a faint nod of acceptance, Klaus locked the door to the room where most of the vampires had fallen to the floor, dead. The last ones sucking raced when they saw Klaus and fell to the floor with a thump once the last drop of blood was drunk from their bodies.
Drawing the doors shut, Klaus put a humongous lock on the door and took a step back. He knew what Y/n was going to ask of him when he 'd return, so with a final breath, Klaus decided that among those vampires, Klaus had also locked his own demons inside.
Y/n's head rose when she saw him stroll back into the master bedroom.
"Promise me that you'll never take a life ever again," she whispered.
Klaus nodded, looking into her eyes with honesty so bright it could've blinded her.
"And if you do, do it after you take mine," Y/n spoke stiffly. "Or I'll take yours."
Klaus dropped to his knees beside her side of the bed to hold her hand.
"You have my word," he spoke hoarsely, leaning in just enough that Y/n had to come the rest of the way to meet his mouth.
"I love you," she whispered against his mouth. "I cannot lose you to your demons."
"I love you, too,” Klaus said, stopping when his voice wavered. “And you know that you are my only reason," he smiled, letting her push him back on the bed.

Y/n woke up with excitement fluttering through her entire being. It was brighter than the previous day, she noticed. But all of the mist was still sitting around so Y/n drew her curtains apart and opened the windows.
The cold wind carried with it the smell of pomegranate flowers, making Y/n smile.
Squaring her shoulders, she looked into the void outside, wishing Klaus was beside her to experience the beauty of dragonflies dancing around on top of the flowers sprinkled throughout the fields.
Orange and red scenery was not unmet by her eyes when she squinted. A lot of the trees had turned now, and Y/n wondered why they decided to turn just a little earlier than usual.
She wrapped herself in her robe and walked throughout the house, opening all the windows and drawing curtains to let the light pour in. She felt calm, especially since the past couple of days had been extraordinarily troublesome for her.
Back in her library room, Y/n picked up the neat letter that had been sitting on her desk. It was the letter of the ball invitation sent via the Salvatore Sons, and Y/n was more than giddy to finally meet Klaus there.
Most humble citizens of the realm, You are hereby requested to attend a masquerade ball in honour of the thirtieth marriage anniversary of our dearest Lilian Salvatore and Guiseppe Salvatore, the radiant couple -- also respected members of the founder's council of Mystic Falls. Costumes and masks will be strictly required for entry, and each couple must bring a gift. This sophisticated affair will be a tantalising and stylish celebration with a feast, dancing and competitions. You all will delight in the wondrous, safe atmosphere of Castle Harrowgate. The gates of Castle Harrowgate shall be opened at first dusk in two days' time, and you are expected to be punctual. Dictated but not read Damon and Stefan Salvatore.
While Y/n wasn't one for gatherings, she could appreciate a ball every once in a while. She felt a bit of dread pooling inside of her at the thought of meeting the Salvatores, who had known of her and Klaus while she hadn't known of their mere existence.
Still, she walked across the mansion and picked some flowers the whole morning. In the afternoon, she wrote a poem and read some chapters of her current read that was of her beloved genre, gothic horror.
Once the sun had begun getting tired, though, Y/n slipped into her room and sat in front of her vanity. It still felt a little foreign to her, she wouldn't lie. That doesn't mean she didn't find it infinitely convenient.
She applied rose water on her face first and then rubbed some cream on the skin in order to make her skin look just a little more alive than a corpse's. It brought a certain shine to her face, she thought.
Then she dabbed some light coloured starch on her face in order to even out her complexion, though she didn't quite need to. She was simply following a makeup routine she had learnt from a lady while she had been out in the towns a few months ago, when the sun was overhead and blinding.
She smiled a little tightly as she put some maroon powder on the top of her cheeks, making her look like she had a heart and blood circulation under her skin. Smiling genuinely at her reflection in the mirror, she looked away just before she could begin to point out her flaws.
Lastly, she dabbed some lip tint on her mouth in a way that made her lips look bitten rather than painted.
Tying her own corset for her dress was troublesome enough that she had broken a sweat whilst she'd been at it. Patting cotton all over her face in annoyance, she fixed the ruffles of her dress for the last time.
The colour of the dress was similar to that of the darkest emerald out there, and upon it were drawn complex patterns in all shades of green that went best with the gown's colour.
She had her hair in a low bun sitting on the nape of her neck, the lowest of her hair strands falling out into coils just a couple inches lower. A flowery crown sat on top of her bun like a crown made out of golden oak leaves, the crystals reflecting the sunlight all over the room.
Anxious that she was likely forgetting something, she took hold of her purse and carried in her other hand the gift she had chosen to give – a thick and rich blanket, along with other trinklets and fruits and nuts. She'd also added a tobacco pouch or two in there.
She rushed out of the mansion and sped to the main street, where she accepted herself in a carriage. Once she was sat, she took a deep breath.
Although gradually she realised that the cold sweat she'd broken earlier wasn't because she had been racing around.
It was because subconsciously, she felt like there was a stone sitting inside her chest, one other than her heart. It was heavy, and sharp too. Something was going to go wrong, her guts screamed. She had an instinct that she was going to die that evening, but she ignored all and focused on the dying scenery around her as the carriage raced further.
It was a masquerade ball, surely she'd be able to fool death if it happened to be there as well.

When the carriage turned into a lane, and Y/n saw the mansion; a shiver ran down her spine. It was eerily quiet there, no one in sight and no sounds of a gathering filling the atmosphere.
The castle’s walls stood tall, with tinted windows. It looked like a secretive fortress, with its additional dark towers and iron gates. The sun light didn’t reach the estate very well, and it was all shades of dark – with not even a barren tree in its circumference.
Had she come too early, she wondered and checked her pocket watch. She was just a few minutes late, actually. Maybe people weren't so punctual anymore, she shouted back at her alarmed instincts.
She looked up at the sky which was darkening as the sun was setting. But it was full of heavy clouds drifting slowly, waiting for the right time to bring hell on land.
In the time that she came face to face with the castle, she tried to focus on her hearing. But she couldn't hear any heartbeats, nor any quietened gossip floating around. It was more silent than Y/n had noticed it was underwater during the summer.
Clutching her shawl in clenched fists, she stepped off the carriage. Handing the man a couple pennies and thanking him, she waited as he backed away until out of the sight.
Then she finally turned her gaze onto the Castle Harrowgate, and as she began to feel like it was all a trap, she realised that might as well already be in one.
Klaus had told her that he would meet her by the time the ball would start, to accompany her for the dance since he couldn't imagine sharing with another man the pleasure of dancing with his wife. And upon checking the watch once again, Y/n remembered that the gates must have been opened about half an hour ago.
So, to see no footprints outside the muddy path covered with cobblestones stood out to her. She squinted her eyes, unsure if she'd be able to make a run for it now.
Y/n was better than that though, she could fight an army of vampires if she wanted to with her original strength. But to be wearing a gown and heels, with a gift bag in one hand and a purse in the other, Y/n wasn't sure if she wanted to get blood sprayed all over herself.
Sensing eyes on her, she searched the windows to see even a shadow. But there was none. It was the same feeling as the one she'd gotten when she'd been in the forest a couple days prior, feeling like she was being preyed upon.
She gulped dryly, praying to a god she didn't believe existed that the cowards behind this plan would be willing to talk this through. She didn't wish to be anyone's death, nor did she wish to die herself. She did, occasionally, but now as she felt like death was breathing down her neck, she felt like taking another sip of life before going to bed.
As she walked further and crossed the threshold of the castle, she felt wind move behind her before she could've seen past the open gates.
She screamed but a hand was covering her mouth and as she tried to remind herself that she was a vampire and didn't need to be frightened, her vision began to fade inwards until she could see nothing but the death's cousin – that is sleep.
When she gained back her senses again, she knew that she was in a lot of trouble. She still couldn't see, but she could smell the vampires who had probably noticed her consciousness by now. She could hear them bickering that had come to a sudden halt. She could feel someone standing right beside her in a second and she could touch the chains that she'd been tied up with.
It was raining heavily outside, probably so angrily that it would feel like there were millions of needles being dropped on your skin, all at once, if one happened to be out in it.
Her arms were stinging since they'd been tied up on the two sides. She was on her knees, bent over because of weakness. At least she hoped that's what they thought she felt. Her hair was falling on her face and over her shoulder – how had it slipped out of a tight bun, she wondered and came to the conclusion that it must have happened when she'd struggled against the man's chest while he'd had her in a chokehold with vervain held right over her nose.
Had she been in his place, she'd have burned the skin off the captive's face. She smiled at the kindness these people had shown her.
"Glad you'll finally be put out of the misery of living your immortal life?" Someone spoke from across the room, a man. Likely middle aged, she assumed.
"Glad to finally meet you, Guiseppe," Y/n smirked when the man's breathing stuttered just a bit. "Though I wish it hadn't been this way."
"A lovely mouth you've got with a lovely face," said a younger voice. "Too bad that all the fortune would go to waste."
Y/n chuckled, then choked because of the dryness in her throat. "Mark my words when I say that this will be the very mouth that'll rip your throat out, Salvatore" she shrugged, unsure whether it was Stefan or Damon that she was talking to.
"C'mon, you can't possibly be delusional enough to hope you're going to get out of this one!" Said the same voice, quietened by a clearing of the throat.
The window shutters were rattling, and a couple of animals were howling outside.
"Damon, bring a chair for me, will you?" Said Guiseppe.
Y/n laughed at that; her head was thrown back. "Since when do you care so much that your child might witness a murder?"
"Oh, trust me hon, death doesn't even bother me no more," Damon joked and Y/n grinned. It would be a petty to shut that humourous mouth forever six feet deep into the ground.
"Damon, go," said a handsome voice.
It was silent for a moment and all of Y/n's senses were working relentlessly. But the most she could hear was the ongoing storm outside, thunder rolling like death was on its own carriage, coming down to take Y/n with it.
The thought of whether she had served her purpose in her life was fleeting. But then she began to ponder, if only humans were allowed to deal with existentialism, and whether it was satirical for her to even be thinking that she might just have a meaning to her life.
But then she drifted off to think of her immortality. All her life, she'd never dared to ponder over it – afraid she might begin to have the urge to kill herself. Had she made anything out of having a life that'd never end?
Did she need to do that? Did she really need a reason or a purpose to live? Or since being an immortal, she had to pay the loan by giving this world her all?
But before she could start to lose her mind, she was snapped back to reality.
“I only saw you from the back, in the forest and from outside your mansion,” said the same handsome voice before he chuckled. Y/n’s breathing came to halt – she had been right.
“But sweetheart, you seem like the devil carved you himself – so dangerously beautiful,” he whispered under his breath.
When Y/n didn’t say anything, wanting for him to continue admitting all that he’d done, the young one laughed.
"We aren't going to kill you, by the way,” said he who Y/n was beginning to assume was Stefan.
"Too bad that I will, once I'm out of these shackles."
Y/n genuinely was disappointed. She wanted to cry because she hadn't even thought about this possibly being a trap, and she hated herself for it. And she also hated the fact that these people found it so entertaining, the way they'd played her.
Feeling pathetic, she manipulated herself to turn her sadness into ferocious rage. She couldn't let these men take advantage of her.
Someone laughed, and Y/n smiled. She wanted them to believe that she couldn't help herself out of the chains.
"We just want Klaus," Damon said as if he was bored out of his wits. "You see, he loves you. Surely, he'll trace you here. Then we'll capture him, toy with him, kill him and ponder what to do with your beauty."
Y/n wasn't feeling too sarcastic anymore. She wanted to skin these men alive and hang them upside down to be eaten alive by the crows. But she contained herself with a deep breath.
"You've seen so much of my beauty, it'll only be fair if I got to see yours," she proposed and waited in silence as someone walked over and removed the blindfold from her face.
Squinting, she saw Guiseppe, who looked like he wanted to kill himself. Then she saw Damon, who looked exactly like he talked and Stefan, who was as handsome as his smooth voice.
"Handsome, you two," she nodded at the younger men. "Surely you've got your looks from your stunning mother," she added.
Damon snickered and Stefan glared at him.
"You know, since Klaus met you, his heart has clearly grown quite faint. And we have been sitting, bored, for too long now. It would be nice to have somethings stirred up, yea?"
Y/n shivered as the dark room lit up when lightning stroked the sky.
"Oh, you don't play games with the wily devil," she cautioned, lowering her voice just to exaggerate although everyone in the room was on edge, knowing she'd spoken nothing if not the utter truth.
"Too late to back out now, though," a glowering voice came from right outside the locked doors of what Y/n could only assume was a dungeon or a chamber of some sort.
She grinned, quickly scanning the three men's faces to relish in their fear. Damon's sharp eyes were now wide open, waiting for his death to come any second now. Stefan was standing in a stance, ready to fight although he knew he didn't stand a chance.
And Guiseppe had broken cold sweat, his breathing was so heavy Y/n almost missed the erratic beating of his heart.
Klaus was here, she could imagine him standing behind the door solely for the suspense, fully capable of breaking down the door into shambles.
He kicked once, and the doors came falling inwards, Damon stepping back just in time for the wood to splinter on the floor in front of him.
When Y/n's eyes met with Klaus', she urged him to turn around. But then she flinched when Klaus missed her indication and was hit by a vase on the nape of his neck.
He fell to the ground. crouching for only a second before he'd disappeared.
The three men searched frantically, turning and twisting in distress.
Y/n saw him racing towards her and she opened her arms, letting him carry her. He situated her on the floor above, behind the railings.
“Are you alright?” He asked frantically, searching her over for any signs of injuries. But Y/n cupped his face and kissed him, reassuring him that she wasn’t wounded.
"Don't look," he asked of her earnestly, knowing the effect it could potentially have on her later on. "For me," he breathed.
Y/n pecked his mouth, then. Resting her lips on his until there was only Klaus' scent in front of her instead of him. She stumbled back and slid down a wall, sitting down and burrowing her head in her knees.
"Prepare your riffles!" Guiseppe shouted at the group of men filling the room urgently.
Guns were cocked and sat on men's shoulders, their fingers on the triggers, ready to shoot to kill.
"Where's --" Albert was cut off by a gust of air, during which he disappeared. He was one of the men, the most determined of them all and still the one with the most thirst for life.
Damon turned and saw for himself the chains to which he had tied Y/n, now lying on the grounds, wrapped around Albert's throat. His eyes were wide open, not a sparkle of life left in them.
Swallowing, Damon knocked his elbow into Stefan's ribs. When he hissed in response, Damon shut him up by pointing towards the dead body.
Both of the boys were now looking towards their father with the same hatred they glared at him with every day. He was going to be the reason behind their deaths. They thought of fleeing at the same point, unaware of each other's notions but both were too full of pride to die a coward.
They knew that if they ran, they had a higher chance of dying.
It was silent again, the only sounds in the room being rapidly beating hearts being interrupted by the rolling thunder outside.
Someone pulled the trigger, and when everyone saw, the bullet had passed through the middle of his own forehead. It was Frank, the one who had come to fight quite reluctantly.
Many men were thinking of fleeing now.
"You didn't tell us that the vampires could do this!" Bert gritted near Guiseppe's ear. He was now hopeless for he was never going to get to take walks near his favourite lake ever again.
"You'll be more responsible for our deaths than these goddamn monsters," shouted young James from across the room. He has just gotten married and wanted to have children, raise them up to be as strong as their mother.
Guiseppe was getting more and more frantic now, he could see his death waiting around the corner for him. The sweat rolling down his back was too cold, and his heart felt like it was going to burst inside of his chest.
Nothing was going how he had planned it.
James also disappeared then, and upon noise, everyone saw that his body was hanging off the humongous chandelier, the blood from the open wound on his neck dripping down on men's faces and on the floor. The sound of the blood pooling was ringing in everyone's ears and they all moved out of the way quickly, wiping off the blood on them with the cuffs of their shirts.
Metallic scent of the blood was beginning to suffocate everyone. Choking sounds were heard before William was thrown to a wall, also dead. He was a master at playing cards.
"Run everyone and set the room on fire!" Shouted Bert, but then his head was smashed off his shoulders and his body was swaying around, before it fell to the ground, writhing a little more before going still.
Now only Damon, Stefan and Guiseppe were left alive in the room. The two younger ones looked at each of the lifeless bodies, then at each other.
"God, I want to kill you two before they get a chance!" Guiseppe roared and bent to steal the gun from Bert's hands.,
But before he could pull the trigger, his head was pulled back and a knife sliced his throat.
The two boys howled in agony and covered their faces when Guiseppe's blood sprayed all over them.
When nothing more happened, they opened their eyes and saw Y/n still holding onto their father, the knife still in her bloodied hands.
Dropping the body then, Y/n looked at them regretfully.
She had to come out since Klaus had to take a second to keep his wolf at bay and the old twat was going to shoot his sons. She didn't mind witnessing the three men's deaths at all though. Surely, they must've prepared themselves for it when they'd been planning the entire betrayal.
"Sorry you had to see that," she muttered, stealing her gaze from their horrified ones. Or maybe from Klaus' eyes that shone golden from where he was standing right behind their backs.
She knew the two brothers' fates before they could've even battled whether to try and negotiate a deal or not.
One of the chains which she had been tied to earlier, was wrapped around Klaus' fist.
In the blink of her eyes, both of the brothers had begun choking. The same chain wrapped around their throats; their backs pressed together. If one tried to pull the chain away from their neck, the other brother would choke to death.
Damon was coughing out his spare breaths, panic widening his eyes so much that Y/n feared they might pop out of their sockets. His mouth was beginning to lose colour just like his skin. Still, there was the beg for another chance reddening his eyes, but Y/n switched her gaze onto Stefan.
He was wheezing heavily, his throat making loud creaky noises that Y/n, unfortunately, could recognise anywhere, at any time. He was dying faster than Damon, and his eyes were set on hers when they stopped moving.
As his body began to fall forward, the chain around Damon's neck tightened so tightly that his tongue protruded out of his mouth, eyes staring into the void, lifeless.
Y/n took a shuddering breath, then looked at Klaus.
"I'm sorry you had to do this," she whispered, crossing over the two dead bodies to cup his face.
It had been hard to have him feel solace with his existence without having the urge to kill. Almost like trying to get him clean off of a drug addiction.
This had been a relapse, then. And Y/n's stone-cold heart was trembling inside her chest in fear of losing him to the coping addiction again.
But then the golden rim of an eclipse melted like honey into the moss of his eyes, and they crinkled at the corners. He leaned in and rested his forehead on hers.
"This did not happen because of you, remember that," he whispered. "I needed to do this, or I wouldn't have been able to live with myself."
Y/n nodded solemnly. A tear rolled down her cheek.
"I love you," she sobbed, her body shaking as she pushed herself further into Klaus' chest, wanting to hide away from all that was surrounding her. "You are the remedy of all things."
"Always and forever, my love," Klaus smiled, wrapping his arms around her.
"Let's go home," he muttered into her hair and bent down to pick her up like he had on their wedding day.
"No carriages, since the driver will surely take us to the authorities upon seeing us doused in blood and have not a single wound at the same time," he grinned, laughing when she hit his chest.
"I was really excited for this ball," Y/n sighed. "I wish it didn't have to be this way."
"Me too, love," Klaus said, preparing to race through the small town along with the clear wind.
"But it was evanescent, wasn't it? This rage, this murderous urge – it was fleeting?" Y/n asked nervously, hopefully.
Klaus nodded faintly. "I'm offended you'd think I have such low control," he teased, and Y/n breathed a sigh of relief. “My love, this thirst has gone as quickly as it’d come,” he reassured her.
"Didn't want to kill again but I'm guessing it was for the better, since no one would dare to forget about what the hybrid is capable of for a long time now," smirking, Klaus looked around at the mess he'd made.
“Now let’s go back home,” he smiled and Y/n’s eyes watered as she nodded.
When Klaus had suspected foul play, he'd felt vontade; a strong desire to do something. So powerful had been his inner drive to remind everyone of his terror that he couldn't have helped himself. The thought of losing Y/n had been petrifying enough.
So, he kicked someone's decapitated head out of his way and strolled outside, already annoyed upon the realisation that in the morning, he’d have to hear about the harrowing news of the horrors found inside the Castle Harrowgate.

Where I’ve Been and the Future of nondelphic
TLDR; I’m coming back to this blog.
I’m so nervous to post this I literally had to take a nervous shit after drafting this post just THINKING about posting it but uhhh…
Long time no see!
It’s been well over 3 months since I posted regularly on this account. I never intended to take a break, but I got overwhelmed.
I started this account in the middle of August of 2024 with a very specific niche that, if you have seen my posts before, will recognise.
Honestly, it started mostly as a distraction from my real-life problems. I’d began writing again last spring after a long time of writing block due to anxiety, depression, and getting used to my anti-depressants. Suddenly, I went from not being able to get out of bed to being able to get out of bed just to write. It became an escape. Just like writing fanfiction used to be when I was a pre-teen.
Through that, I rediscovered how much I actually love writing and creating. And when that happened, I also started craving community. I’ve never really had writing friends (the few I had were short-lived), and I found myself missing that connection.
That’s kind of where this blog came in. It was an experiment, not something I intended to take seriously. Just a low-effort, continuous space online that wasn’t too personal but could resonate with a wide diaspora of writers. Somewhere people could see themselves in my posts.
I’ve always been in fandom or hobby spaces online in some form—grew up in a developing tech society with zero internet safety guidance, so my relationship with social media is honestly decent, all things considered. But in recent years I’d mostly been a consumer rather than a creator. And I missed that. The active partaking. The sense of community. The external validation from like-minded strangers (very Gen Z of me, I know).
And also, it gave me something to do over summer, which is the worst time of year for me. I’ve struggled with seasonal depression for years, and writing got me through the worst days of my summer uni break. But it also stirred up so many thoughts and ideas I wanted to share.
So I committed to not only starting a blog about writing, but updating it continuously, with a fixed set of posts to be posted everyday.
Part of the experiment was personal, but another part was professional. As someone studying and working in media and social media (amongst other things), I know how algorithms work. I understand how consistency, timing, and frequency affect reach and engagement. So I also wanted to test a theory—that’s not really a theory—that if you just post a lot, at the same time, every day, you’ll see growth.
And it worked. I gained over 4,000 followers in just six months.
Numbers aren’t everything, but I won’t pretend it wasn’t validating. Especially when I’d never had a following before. People were engaging, reblogging, sending kind messages. I felt seen, and I felt like what I was making had value.
It was also fascinating to experience it from both sides, both as the creator and as the media nerd in the background mentally noting what worked, what flopped, and why.
Everything was going great.
So why did I disappear?
Well, first of all, my seasonal depression carried on to constant depression and major social anxiety during autumn and into winter. I slept all day. Didn’t go to school. Could barely leave my apartment to go grocery shopping. All I did was write and update this blog. Make sure I had enough posts queued for the coming week.
I had some visible breaks on this blog which I always announced. “sorry can’t post rn i’m stressed need time to update my queue”. Which was true, and I felt proud of myself for being transparent about it.
But the more my following grew and the more people interacted with me, the more I started doubting myself. I don’t know if it was my anxiety, depression or probable ADHD being the culprit of this, or just plain old imposter syndrome, but I started dreading opening tumblr.
I love coming up with post ideas for people to go “omg are you inside my brain rn?” or “I love your blog, your posts make me feel seen,” and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with everyone visiting this blog. Yet, with the growing eyes on this page, I just felt this impending fear that someday it will all be gone.
So I do what I’ve always had a habit of doing! I self-destructed. And left this blog with the excuse (to myself) to work on myself and come back stronger.
And I guess that sorry excuse has kinda come true, although at the time, I was lying to myself. This post is literally me announcing I’m coming back. But back when I abandoned this blog, I, with a heavy heart, was really planning on not coming back. The more the weeks, and then months stretched on without opening tumblr, a growing guilty conscience brewed inside of me.
I’d open the app, stare at the little icon, and immediately close it again. I didn’t know how to explain myself without it sounding dramatic or like I was attention-seeking. And the longer I waited, the harder it got to come back.
Because what do you even say after months of radio silence on a blog that wasn’t supposed to mean this much to you in the first place?
But the thing is it does mean something. And even when I tried to let it go, I kept thinking about it. I’d see something funny and think, “that would make a good nondelphic post.” I’d draft ideas in my nondelphic ideas google docs, fully knowing I wasn’t posting them, but unable to turn off that part of my brain that wanted to connect with other writers, other people who got it.
I ghosted my own blog. And I won’t pretend I had a huge dramatic epiphany or breakthrough that led me back here. Just the quiet realization that I missed it. And I have better routines now. And expectations. That make it impossible for me to turn into the same all-or-nothing approach to this blog I had during my darkest days. Don’t worry, I’m still deeply insecure, anxious and depressed, so my self-deprecating posts will continue as scheduled! But I’ve found other coping mechanisms that don’t rely on…….. Tumblr’s algorithms.
I don’t need to be 100% healed or consistent or perfect to post. And everyone who has sent me a message during the time I’ve been away that I’ve been too scared to reply to has assured me of exactly that. Maybe I can just… come back. A little softer. A little slower. A little more human.
I’m not sure what the future of this blog looks like exactly. I don’t have a new “post 10 times a day” strategy lined up. But I do know I want to write again. I want to talk to you again. I want to rebuild what I tore down with my silence. Not out of pressure or expectation, but because I want to.
So this is me, stepping back into it. One foot in the door. No grand promises, just a little wave from the threshold.
Hi again.
I’m coming back soon. How soon? I think it’s best to not make any promises, but I’ve committed to coming back now, so I’m still gonna promise “soon.”
Also, genuinely thank you. To everyone who reached out in my DMs or sent something to my ask box while I was gone: I read every single message. Even if I didn’t respond, I saw you. My heart felt so big reading your well wishes and worries. Like genuinely, I didn’t know this little corner of the internet could hold so much kindness. So thank you, from the bottom of my stupid overwhelmed heart.
See you soon ♡
xoxo nondelphic
Ps. I’m gonna write another post over on @rebellenotes in the near future for anyone curious about what I’ve been up to in the last few months.

And The Law Won
Yandere Police Officer x Gender Neutral Reader (CW: Imminent noncon, coerced oral sex, cum swallowing, handcuffing, kidnapping, chloroforming, general yandere behavior, abuse of power, DILF) Word Count: 754 (Drabble that became a minific, deleted due to typo that had already been reblogged a lot. Hope you all enjoy)
It all started when you were driving home late one night. You had been held up at work and all of the roads were pretty clear at this hour, you hadn’t encountered even a single car on the road the entire time. So you didn’t really see much harm in running a red light or two. But almost immediately after you had, even at 3 in the am a police car was on your tail, seemingly materializing out of nowhere. You pulled over and waited for the inevitable ticket. This was just great. You were already so behind on bills and the tickets were ridiculous. You sighed in defeat as you rolled down your window while thinking to yourself that you would never financially recover from this. The officer approached your window, a tall and fairly muscular looking older gentleman. He was a grizzled bear of a man who appeared to be in his mid 40s. His voice was deep and authoritative. “I am Hewlett, the chief of police. Do you know why I pulled you over?” “I ran a red light…” You said meekly, unable to meet the intense gaze of his eyes. “You ran two red lights,” he corrected harshly. He could see you look even farther away in embarrassment and shame, you clearly dreaded the ticket that was about to come your way and would probably go pretty far to avoid it. Times were hard. And he had gotten pretty good at telling how far an individual would go to avoid a hefty fine. “I am afraid I am going to have to write you two tickets.” You were fucked, you could never afford two separate tickets! He smirked. “Or…” He started. And before you knew it he was on the other side of the vehicle, where your car would shield him from any potential passersby, with you sitting in the passenger seat. Your head bobbing back and forth on his cock. Now you knew why the Chief of Police, someone of such a high rank, was doing traffic stops at an out of the way light. He ran his strong calloused hands through your hair as you dutifully blew him. The warmth felt amazing. You were pretty good at this. Your jaw hurt, but it was worth it to avoid two tickets. Something about you made his heart beat faster. Maybe it was the way you looked up at him intermittently to read his face to tell if you were pleasing him, maybe it was just the way you carried yourself, or just how obedient you were and how easily you melted to his desire. Whatever it was didn’t matter really, he just knew he needed more of you. His balls tensed and his cock throbbed, suddenly your mouth was full of his cum. He held both sides of your head and spoke one more command. “Swallow.” You did without hesitation, even though the lingering flavor made you feel dirty. Even after you got home and washed your mouth out twice over. The next time you drove home you made sure to take a new route. Even though it was 15min. longer. But it wouldn’t help you now. Hewlett had your license plate info. A few nights later, when you were watching some youtube videos to relax after work, you heard a sudden crash at your window. You went to investigate, thinking maybe the neighbor’s cat had knocked over another one of your terracotta flower pots. Your window was smashed open. You turned around to rush out the door. At best there was a vandal in your neighborhood, at worst someone had broken in. It was the latter. As you ran you smacked right into Hewlett, his all black attire barely visible in the shadows. He grabbed you and pressed a rag to your face. You were out cold quickly. When you woke up your head was killing you and your thoughts were fuzzy. It took a good few minutes to completely be aware of what was happening to you. You were handcuffed to a bed in a room that looked like it had been sound proofed. Hewlett stood over you grinning, grinding his lubed cock into your entrance as those rough hands of his rubbed your thighs. “Oh good, you’re awake. Now we can begin~” You struggled weakly against the cuffs. But it was no use. You thought you were fucked when you were about to receive two tickets, but no. Now you were truly about to be screwed.

“So the server mechanic is that when you kill someone, you gain an extra life?” Wemmbu asks as he trails behind the green-clad version of a person he swore to never think about again, doing his best to focus on the surroundings instead of the Prince stood in front of him.
They’re walking back to the place they’d spawned, and Wemmbu is… nervous.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Pretty simple, I think. Way easier to keep track of than something on like, I dunno, Bliss or something,” Zam— not the one he knows, but a different one, who he’s not (yet?) sure he can trust— says, picking at the thrice-bitten nails on her one remaining hand (his Zam had also had a problem with nail-biting, but he had stopped letting Wemmbu see his bare hands about a week before the betrayal, so Wemmbu supposed he would never know if that was still true) nervously as they stand by the border of the spawn chunk, waiting for the person who’d dropped them off here— which, according to Zam, was another SpokeIsHere— to show up once again to take them back to her home server.
(Ironic, wasn’t it. He met his Zam searching for Spoke to kill and ban him, and he meets this one because Spoke, a friend that Zam trusts found them— found him, somehow, and brought them here.)
He’s still not sure if going to Zam’s home server is a good idea, but… for all his possible misgivings about his own Zam, there’s no reason not to give this one the benefit of the doubt. If worse comes to worse… Wemmbu still has ways to get out. “Oh, though, it’s not… it’s not really like, a life, though. It’s a heart. You know. Like with gapples, but, uh, they’re permanent— or as permanent as long as you can keep yourself alive. And it’s not hardcore, so at least you’ve got that going for you! You know, not having to worry about permanent death if you get farmed a few times. I’d… know about that last bit.”
“Yeah, okay. I think I get it.” Wemmbu’s voice is still a little raspy and his nose irritated from the conversation they’d had only thirty minutes ago, and it’s a little embarrassing to be face to face with Zam when he’s like this, so he turns away, trying to make sense of the things she had told him. “Uh. You– Zam. Can you, uh, give me a second? I think I need a second. You know, to. Uh. Think, and stuff.”
“Sure! Sure. I… I’ll go, uh. Over there. By the, um, the crater-pond thing, can you see—? You can see it from here, I think.” Zam waves his hands over at a small pond off in the distance, just barely visible in the chunk border. “I’ll just— yeah. Um. Go ahead, I won’t be listening. Take your time, man. Um. And let me know if you… you know, change your mind on going to Lifesteal. I won’t be mad, I promise, I just… don’t really think it’d be good to leave you here.”
Wemmbu wants to tell Zam just how right she is, that it’s probably one of the worst ideas to leave him alone back on Unstable, after everything that’s happened— but he doesn’t. Instead, he just watches as Zam starts to jog off over to the pond, the scrappy green cloak around his shoulders billowing in the wind as he runs.
It’s so… unfamiliar to him.
He’s not sure what to make of it, what to make of Zam and the fact that there’s a pin on his cloak of Wemmbu’s face even despite her own misgivings about him (because this Zam’s Wemmbu wronged her badly, too, and he doesn’t know what to think about that either. He isn’t sure what to make of Zam at all, and the worst part is, even though the likelihood of Zam lying is as high as he’s ever known it to be, Wemmbu believes him almost fullheartedly). He’s not sure what he should think about the ribbons and hairclips and trinkets that represent the people this Zam loves (or loved?) and how she wears her hearts on her sleeve, literally, with a heart count of fifteen hearts earned from people who cared about Zam enough to give him a part of their own vitality.
How was it that someone who lived on such a seemingly cruel server had turned out better than the Zam Wemmbu knew? Why didn’t he get to meet this version of Zam earlier? Why did it have to be another version of him, with cruelty running through his veins and bloodshed in his heart, that met Zam for the first time on Lifesteal?
Goddammit.
Wemmbu doesn’t know what he wants.
He buries his head in his arms as he sits down by a rock next to what looks like a man-made explosion. Oh— wait, that’s right, hadn’t Zam said something about this too? Something like how this was one of the servers used to test for her Wemmbu’s orbital cannon nuking. Which… yeah, okay. That was totally something he would’ve done, before the Prince Zam Empire and everything that happened afterward.
The Prince Zam Empire… no. Nah. Let’s not— yeah. Don’t think about that, man. Just don’t even go there.
Wemmbu slouches forward slightly, lifting his head just so to see if he can catch sight of Zam instead of getting himself stuck in his head again.
She’s made a fishing rod, somehow, and is currently looking like he’s going to town on the tiny pond. The green cloak— so very unlike the Zam he knows, with a deep crimson red cloak trimmed with fur and decorated in jewels upon jewels— pools around her shoulders as he yanks back fish bit by bit, the metal arm where his left hand should be glinting in the sunlight as the eternal sun beams down on them.
He sighs, and stands up, stretching each of the spider legs he usually hides underneath his shirt as he does so. Depending on how long Spoke’s going to take to pick them up, Wemmbu may as well spend some time getting to know this Zam better. There’s no use speculating about what is and isn’t there, if he doesn’t know anything about her besides her trauma.
“Hey, Zam,” Wemmbu calls as he nears the little pond, giving Zam a nervous wave as she smiles back awkwardly at him. “Uh. Can I…”
“Yeah! Yeah, uh, feel free to join, if you want. I— I’ve fished a few rods out already, so let me just, uh—” Zam places down an E-Chest (which Wemmbu now belatedly realizes is probably where he’d gotten the rod from in the first place) and pulls out an anvil, a shulker with a few books inside and three fishing rods, before combining them all and handing Wemmbu a new enchanted fishing rod. “Here. Use this.”
“Thanks,” Wemmbu says, the word feeling unfamiliar on his tongue, not only because he doesn’t usually thank others genuinely, but also because he can’t remember the last time he thanked Zam. “Uh. So… do you… ugh. Do you like fishing, usually?”
Zam laughs at that, a mannerism so similar to the Zam Wemmbu knows (no, knew) that it makes his heart clench. He— fuck. He has to stop associating them with each other. It’s seriously not good for his heart. “Oh, not really, but it’s funny cause recently, a lot of the more serious convos I’ve had have been while fishing. I guess it’s just cause there’s just like, nothing else to do here. I mean… unless you could figure out how to get the orbital cannon working.”
“Huh? Orbital cannon? What do you— what do you mean, man?” Wemmbu glances over (perhaps a little quicker than he really should) at Zam, who shrugs. He hopes he doesn’t sound too desperate to her to start on a new topic. No offense to fishers, or anything, but. They’re kinda boring, just a bit.
“I don’t really know much about it, cause I was usually, uh, you know, doing my best to like, not exploit— actually, you don’t know because I didn’t go into detail on the Season Four stuff— but. But! This used to be the testing server for hacks and stuff. When, uh, Wemmbu… Lifesteal… was president season five, he used this to test out his cannon thing. And Squiddo— I did tell you about her, right? She kind of also found admin powers and used this server to test her stuff out too. That’s where the elevator down to the void came from,” Zam points over at a deeper crater hole some blocks away from them. “And, uh— yeah. So, I guess, if you could figure out how to build your own little cannon here then there’s that to keep us busy until Spoke comes to pick us up.”
Wemmbu glances down at the fishing rod in his hands, almost missing the tug of a fish on his string. In the shaky reflection of the water, the red of the salmon’s scales in his hand looks almost like the blur of blood. “I… well. I guess I don’t… really know.”
Liar.
“Well… well, I mean, that’s okay too!” Zam clasps her hands together, fishing rod left forgotten at their side as he takes the salmon away from Wemmbu’s hand, depositing it in a bucket that he hadn’t noticed before. It swims around the bucket excitedly. He wishes he could be like that salmon. “Um. You know! Like, whatever you wanna do is fine by me.”
“I want…” Wemmbu sighs. Whatever, sure, he’ll put all his cards on the table. Who even cares anymore? Not him. “Fuck, dude, I— whatever. I wanna like, get to know you, but it’s like– I just don’t know where to start.”
Zam looks at him, short golden curls falling into her eyes as he does so. “That’s okay. That’s, like, totally okay! It’s great, even, cause I want to get to know you too, Wemmbu. And I don’t think we, you know, have to really know where to start with this stuff. We can just– you know. Go. Like— like, you know, right now! What’s your favourite colour and stuff, you know?”
Despite himself, that manages to wrench a laugh from Wemmbu. “What’s— what’s my favourite colour? Dude, is that— is that the best you can manage?”
Zam beams. It makes Wemmbu’s chest hurt a little. “It made you laugh, didn’t it? That means it’s pretty great, in my eyes.”
“You know— you know what?” Wemmbu says, and then, because he can’t help himself but try to ruin every nice thing that comes his way, adds on, “I can see why, uh, why people liked to torment you, back on your home server. Like— like, dude, you’re… seriously… way too open. Too… you’re too…”
“Loud? Unusual? Trusting?” Zam shrugs. “Well, I know that already, dude. But I don’t care.”
She doesn’t look affected in the slightest by his words, and— god fucking dammit, Wemmbu, god dammit, stop thinking. Just stop thinking. He reminds Wemmbu so much of his Zam and yet at the same time, when she says things like this… it makes him want to mace something. Maybe himself.
“I just… you know. I think I want you to be happy. You— you know? And I think… I think we can try working on that, you know, if you come back to Lifesteal with me. It’s… well, actually, it kinda sucks, and all that, but, like. It’s my home. And everyone on there isn’t trying to kill each other for real unless we are, but like, we’re not right now, and I’m doing a really bad job of selling this shit so I’m just gonna stop now,” Zam says, practically all in one breath. “I just think. I think I want to see you be happy. You know? And I want to be your friend, and it’s not because I couldn’t make peace with the other you or anything, and— are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Wemmbu says, and yet, even as he says it, he can feel the wet trail of tears making their way down his face. He sniffs— his nose is still fucking irritated from half an hour (or more?) ago and it makes him feel honestly disgusting, and he tries to wipe away the tears staining his face and collar. “I— I just—”
“Do you want, like, um— a handkerchief or something?” Zam looks so concerned, and it makes Wemmbu almost choke on an irrational peal of laughter, because she’s never been concerned for him, but this is a different Zam who’s kind and bright and so much like the Zam that Wemmbu misses, and he can’t fucking deal with it. “I can— fuck, dude, I dunno what you, uh— fuck! Fuck, I’m sorry, I’m just not good with this kind of stuff—”
“You’re— you’re fine,” Wemmbu coughs, and he brings up a hand to his face. “I’m. Fine. We can— um. If you want me to go— to— uh, your—”
“Lifesteal,” Zam says. “You want to come back with me to Lifesteal?”
“I— can give it a try,” Wemmbu manages to choke out, and even through his tear-blurred eyes, he can clearly see Zam’s radiant grin.

Pairing: Dark Tangerine x (female) Reader
▶ This is a yandere/dark work and it may contain triggering content so please READ THE WARNINGS before. Do not read if minor.
More at Masterlist
SUMMARY: Escaping Tangerine was never an option.
WARNING: Implied Kidnapping.
AN: Please, reblog and give me feedback.
I dug this out of nowhere to feed to Tangerine fandom. Probably one of my lasts drafts about him :(
--
“Love…don’t you fuckin’ dare.”
You swallow hard, fear building in your throat as Tangerine appears in the room, stiffly standing near the door.
The gun threatens to slip from your sweaty grip and you increase the pressure, struggling to keep your hand steady despite the very obvious tremor.
It's not like you know how to use the revolver that you somehow managed to find in one of Tangerine's office drawers, but you thought you could use it to get out of this unwanted situation.
“Give me the keys and I won’t shoot.” your attempt to have an authoritative voice fails miserably, both you and Tangerine realizing your terrified state.
“Y/N, darlin’…” He takes a cautious step forward, approaching you and you sniff, terror flooding you.
“Please! Please, give me the keys…” you beg, taking a few steps behind until you bump into the kitchen aisle, trapped between the furniture and Tangerine.
You panic as he keeps moving forward in your direction.
“Stop! Just stop moving or…. or I swear I’ll shoot.”
“Listen, love, how about we talk this through’, yeah?” he raises his hands in the air, assuring that he wasn't going to try anything but you still keep the gun pointed at him.
“That’s a fully loaded gun, love, you can seriously hurt yourself with it and we don’t want that, do we?”
Tangerine takes another small step towards you as you shake your head, tears blurring your vision and your hand slightly lowers.
“I just wanna go home.” you sob, shoulders shaking.
Your blurry eyes makes you miss the small step he takes towards you, his cheek twitching with anticipation.
“I know, love, but this is your home now.” his voice is smooth and calm, placating you and you look at him, eyes begging him.
“Please…”
“You’re not leavin’ this house, love, you know that.” his confidence scares you and he extends his hand, nodding towards the gun. “So why don’t you gimme' me that gun and I promise I won’t get mad, how ‘bout that?”
You don’t reply and Tangerine sighs.
“Cause did ya know that the door also needs a finger print scan to open up, right?”
Your eyes dart towards the robust front door, already protected with several locks whose keys you still don't have.
Big mistake.
By the time you realize that there is no scanner, it’s too late. Tangerine lunges forwards and next thing you know, you're pinned down between the counter and his body.
You cry out as he expertly twists your wrist, taking the gun away from you, carelessly throwing it to the floor.
His anger is visible as he roughly turns you around, slamming you face down on the counter, pressing his lips to your ear.
“Looks like you’re in a big fuckin’ trouble, love.”

“- Not like that Y/N, I already corrected your form three times today. Focus, please.”
Taehyun’s tone was growing annoyed as he helped you fix the placement of your back and feet as you did your squats. But was it really your fault when your trainer was looking so good ? When the main reason why you started to go to the gym again was to see him ? When you always left your sessions with him not only sweating and with sore muscles but also with a pool of arousal in your panties because you liked the way it was so easy for him to move you, how big his hands looked around your waist ?
And you really did try to stay focused. However, the way you would see Taehyun's eyes darken and the frustration becoming visible on his face as you did the moves he had already explained to you five or six times before wrong made it even harder for you to concentrate. But he didn’t need to know how much of a slut you were. Not yet. And you didn’t only want him to fuck you stupid against the gym’s mirrors, you also wanted him to take you on dates and to play with your hair after a long day. Though, Taehyun never showed interest and never responded to your sometimes flirty remarks or approaches. You understood - it was his job after all, and he was good at it.
“- Just… Stop. Put that down or you’re gonna hurt yourself.”
You bite down on your lips as you did so, putting the weights back on the racks and then turning around to see him. His arms were crossed in front of his chest, and annoyance was written all over his face. And for some reason, you found him even more attractive like this. Were you fucked in the head ? Yeah, probably.
“- What’s going on today ?
- Uh, nothing. I’m just distracted, sorry…
- It’s like you enjoy getting on my nerves sometimes, Y/N, I swear.”
And how were you supposed to respond to that ? That yes, it excited you when he took that harsh tone with you ? When he corrected your form firmly ? When he was frustrated and looked like he could ruin you for any other man ? You wanted to but you couldn’t, for obvious reasons. But Taehyun seemed to get it on his own, tilting his head to the side as he kept staring at you.
“- Is that it ? You like it when I’m mean to you ?”
His tone was mocking, his smirk was making you feel pathetic and the way he was shaking his head only deepened the humiliation of the situation. But again, you liked it. You liked how it made you feel, you liked how he could see right through your bluff and see how dirty you were, how ready you were to redeem yourself and show him just how good you could be. And your lack of answer told him everything he needed to know as he took a step closer to you.
“- So that’s what you’re into ?”
The only thing you could do was nod and try to keep the eye contact going as he walked closer and closer to you, backing you up against the mirror of the empty gym at this late hour. He was so close now that you could feel his hot breath hitting your face and see the way his eyes flickered down to your lips for a few seconds just as yours did the same.
“- Answer me, Y/N. Do you like it when I’m mean to you ?
- Yes…”
That was all Taehyun needed to grab your jaw in his hands and bring your lips to his, his mouth and tongue immediately taking control over yours and making you release a surprised gasp. The kiss was messy, and it felt like Taehyun was completely dominating you, but you loved it, it was all you ever wanted. You didn’t protest when he took a hold of your hips to spin you around, pressing his body against yours and letting you feel his hard cock against your ass. Your eyes locked with his again in the reflection of the mirror, already feeling out of breath from the whole situation.
“- You’re such a dirty girl, Y/N. Fantasizing about your gym trainer ? That’s so naughty.”
You just nodded at his words, not objecting to anything he said because it was the truth, the undeniable truth. There was a glint of something darker than usual in his eyes as he let his hands run from your waist up to your chest, his touch making shivers come alive on your skin. You could see the way your back was arching against him, you could see the way your breath was hitching in your throat and you could see the way he was smiling devilishly at you. You closed your eyes shut as Taehyun squeezed your breasts, a small whimper slipping past your lips.
“- Open your eyes, angel. Look at yourself, look at how much of a slut you are.
- Taehyun…
- I said open your eyes.”
His demanding, harsh tone made you even wetter if that was even possible, and the view of his hands on you made your craving for him even stronger.
“- Good girl. You know how to listen then, uh ?
- Yes… Yes, I can be good…
- We’ll see that.”
His words lingered in the air as he let his hands drop from your chest to your gym shorts. Without even taking enough care to take your clothes off, he slipped his hand in between your thighs to rub at your clothed clit. Your body reacted right away : your thighs closing around his hand, your hands helplessly trying to grab at something and a low moan rolling off your tongue. But Taehyun didn’t stop, recklessly playing with you until a wet spot grew on the grey material of your shorts, making you feel and see how pathetic you were.
“- Such a fucking whore… Are you not ashamed ? Being so wet from only that ? Only a bitch in heat would love it.
- Taehyun…
- You can’t even talk anymore, you’re just a dumb doll thinking with her cunt.”
You moaned out a choked out “yes”, now desperately grinding against his fingers in search of more frictions, of more of his touch. But Taehyun wouldn’t have it this way, his other hand creeping up from your hips to your neck, wrapping his fingers around your throat and squeezing it without any mercy. But another moan ripped from your mouth instead, your eyes rolling to the back of your head as he squeezed tighter.
“- You like that too ?
- Yeah…
- You’re gonna cum just like this ? With my hand around your throat and barely even touching you ?
- Please…”
At this point, your thighs are shaking, and all you can see through your teary eyes is the mischievous look on Taehyun’s face as he kept on adding pressure against your clit, holding you up by your throat and playing with your airflow until you were close to your climax. And you knew he could feel it, it was obvious in the way he kept on degrading you, telling you how disgusting and nasty you were, how bad you were for loving all of this, what he was doing to you.
“- I’m so close… P-Please, Taehyun…
- Think you deserved it ? You think you deserve to cum ?”
Tears streamed down your face at his mean and degrading words, and he chuckled condescendingly at your fucked out state. The friction was good but not enough. You felt so close but yet, it still felt like you needed more. Your whole body felt on fire as Taehyun leaned over your shoulder to lick your tears away, leaving the skin of your cheeks even hotter.
“- Answer, slut.
- Y-Yes ! Please, Tae… Please… I need it…”
His hold around your throat tightened, the dark feelings you were stirring in him made him feel on the edge of insanity, and the way you were reacting made him crave your body even more. He could feel your juices seeping through the material of your shorts, coating his fingers in it. He loved how he was able to make a mess of you with a few touches and words, how easy it was for him to break you down.
“- So fucking greedy… Go on, cum like the naughty girl you are.”
You didn’t need more than his words and one last squeeze around your throat to let go, the wave of your orgasm crashing over you so strongly you needed to grip his forearm to not collapse on the floor. You came back to reality when Taehyun held your jaw in between his fingers, forcing you to raise your head and look at your reflection in the mirror, allowing you to see how gone you looked, how dishevelled you looked.
“- This is who you truly are, angel.”

Tyler was right, he got maybe four hours of sleep and spent most of his night tossing and turning.
When it was seven in the morning, Tyler gave up entirely and retreated to the living room to wait until you woke up. He flipped through channel after channel, nothing really catching his interest long enough to commit to it, and he did that for two hours straight. He dozed off a couple times, but he was still nowhere near well rested by the time you opened the bedroom door and stepped out into the hall at nine in the morning. “Hey,” he said as soon as he saw you, and he sat up as you slowly made your way over to the couch with the throw blanket from the bed wrapped around you.
“Hi,” you said back as you climbed over the armrest instead of walking around the back of the couch.
Tyler held back a grin, because you did that every single time you sat down on the couch, and he was happy that at least a few things hadn’t changed. “How did you sleep?”
“Okay,” you answered and rubbed at your eyes with your hands. “That bed is pretty comfortable. Way better than the one at the hospital.”
“I told you,” he laughed, glancing back at the TV screen as some ad for RAM began playing. When your eyes became fixated on the TV as well, Tyler looked back over at you. “How’s your head?”
You tear your eyes away from the screen and drop your hands onto your lap. “It’s okay,” you said quietly. “I looked at the stitches in the mirror and I nearly fainted. I should probably not do that again.”
Tyler’s heart fell at that and he shifted a bit. “Yeah, definitely don’t do that anymore,” he agreed, not knowing what he would do if you did faint and injure yourself even more. “You didn’t take your pill yet, did you?”
You shook your head and leaned back on the couch. “No, not yet. I figured I should probably eat something with it,”
“Good idea,” Tyler hummed, handing you the remote as he pushed himself off the couch and made his way to the kitchen. The open concept allowed him to keep an eye on you as he worked on making breakfast, and he often found himself checking on you more than he should.
If he really tried, he could almost let himself believe that this was just another Saturday morning, with you catching up on the latest news while he made french toast and bacon.
He had no idea how much he would end up longing for days like those again.
“You’re still gonna show me some of your streams later, right?” You called out as you put on some home decorating show. “You said you would.”
Tyler laughed under his breath as he walked back into the living room. “And I will,” he said as he handed you a glass of orange juice before making his way back to the kitchen. “But they’re our streams, babe.”
You lifted yourself up and looked at him from over the back of the couch. “I’m in them, too?”
“Yeah,” he answered as he got a plate down from the cupboard. “What, you thought you weren’t my partner anymore?” He teased as he put the food onto the plate.
“No, I…” you trailed off and didn’t continue when he handed you the plate and turned to walk down the hallway. “You’re not eating with me?”
Tyler paused and grinned at the hint of a whine in your voice. “I’m gettin’ your meds,” he clarified and you visibly relaxed.
“Oh,” you mumbled, sitting back down in a more comfortable position. “Right, I knew that.”
“Uh huh,”
He left you on the couch while he went into your bedroom, and his heart swelled a bit when he noticed that you had made the bed up before you left the room. You were supposed to be resting and letting him do all the work, yet he wasn’t annoyed or frustrated with you for not doing that. He was just hopelessly in love with you.
“You didn’t need to make the bed,” he said when he entered the living room again. “You’re supposed to be takin’ it easy.”
You gave him a look as you bit into a piece of bacon. “I think I can handle pulling a sheet up,” you said back, your voice a bit muffled as you chewed.
Tyler shook his head again and set a pill onto the coffee table before making a second plate and sitting next to you. “Will you ever just let me handle things and not be a smartass about it?” He teased and you shrugged as you set your plate aside and took the pill.
“No, because I feel useless enough as it is,” you answer as you lean back against the armrest and drape your legs over his thighs. “And I wanted to do something productive while I still had the energy to do so before I took my meds and became tired all over again.”
Tyler smiled over at you, his skin heating up at having at least a part of you touching him. “You’re not useless,” he said, using your calves as a makeshift table for his plate. “You’re hurt, and that’s a damn good excuse for you to not strain yourself. And when you get tired, I’ll show you some of the streams. How does that sound?”
“Good,” you grin over at him and cross your arms over your chest. “That sounds really good.”
About a half hour later, your meds kicked in and you were left feeling groggy and a bit grumpy as you propped your legs up on the coffee table and waited for Tyler to come back with his IPad.
Oh, yeah. You were also feeling clingy, because as soon as he sat down next to you again, you shifted closer to him and cuddled against his side. And Tyler loved every second of it.
You pressed your cheek against his bicep as he pulled up one of the earlier streams you and he ever did, where it was literally just you, Tyler, Boone and two cameras; one on his dashboard, and the other attached to the roof of his truck.
The first few videos you and he made were honestly pretty painful to watch since neither of you were really experienced with everything at that time, and luckily he had known Boone for a few years at that point, and he helped Tyler form a small group of storm chasers, and helped him upgrade all his equipment.
“Oh, God,” you moaned as you moved closer to him. “That’s me? What the hell am I wearing?”
Tyler looked down at the screen and felt his lips curve upwards as he took in the shirt you were wearing in the video. “That’s your DIY Tornado Wrangler shirt,” he answered. “You went out and bought a fabric marker, then went into my drawer and took one of my white shirts and wrote on it. I still don’t know why you didn’t just buy a shirt, but it was so long ago, I don’t even care anymore.”
You groaned and buried your face against his side. “Why did I even do that? That’s so lame,”
Tyler scoffed and looked down at you. “Lame? Baby, you’re the whole reason we have actual shirts now. Someone saw it and asked for us to start sellin’ ‘em, and nearly every adrenaline junkie in Oklahoma has one now,”
You don’t say anything as you lift your head and give him a wide eyed look before glancing back at the screen. “There’s no way I’m that important,”
“You’re the most important person in my life,” Tyler instantly answered, and you shut up after that for the most part as he showed you any video you wanted to see.
The last one you watched was a more recent one, and the stream ended with you and Tyler sharing a deep but chaste kiss. You were blushing by the time Tyler set the IPad down and turned to look at you, and he smirked at the pink tint on your face. “Wow, we have no shame,” you mumbled as you looked away.
Tyler laughed, moving to stand up. “Yeah, you somehow managed to only pick one out of the many streams we have that end like that, babe,” he said and you blushed even more before sitting up quickly.
“Where are you going?” You asked as if you believed he was planning on leaving you alone for more than a minute.
“I’m just putting this on charge in case you want to watch more later,” he said and smiled at the way you visibly relaxed. He walked around the couch and pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head, his eyes instinctively flickering towards your stitches before he made his way to the guest room and plugged his IPad in.
He was only away from you for about thirty seconds, but it might as well have been thirty minutes, because the second he walked back into the living room, you were reaching for him.
Tyler sat back down next to you, draping his arm around your shoulders as you pressed yourself against his side. “Tell me another memory of us,” you murmured, reaching for his hand. “Any one you want.”
He hummed and leaned back on the couch, tilting his head back as he thought of what to tell you about. “How about the time you planned a surprise party for my twenty second birthday, then accidentally told me about it?”
A hint of pink flashed across your face again as you laughed. “Um…yeah, that sounds like me,” you mumbled, “Wow, that’s embarrassing.”
Tyler grinned as he nodded. “Yeah, you were pretty embarrassed about it back then too, but it was cute. You spent weeks planning this big surprise, and then you accidentally told me about it the day before. I wanted to laugh, but you ended up cryin’, so I had to hold back,” he added as you played with his fingers. “You looked so sad, I spent the next hour holdin’ you, and I ended up testin’ out my actin’ skills the next day at the party so I didn’t give away the fact that I already knew about the surprise.”
You smiled and looked up at him. “I’m such a baby,”
“You’re not a baby,” he said, bringing your hand up to his lips and pressing a few kisses to your knuckles. “You’re just emotional, you always have been, and it’s one of the reasons I’m head over heels for you. You wear your heart on your sleeve, babe.”
You nodded and shuffled closer to him. You were clearly in a mood for physical touch right now, and Tyler would be a fool to deny you of that. “You’re sweet, Ty. And I know, I know, you’re only like this with me, but I know you’ve always been sweet. That’s one thing I didn’t forget,”
Tyler’s grin softens as he pulls you closer to his side. “Maybe,” he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to the side of your head, then you were falling asleep against him, and his couple hours of sleep finally caught up to him as he tilted his head back and tightened his hold on you as his own eyes drifted close.
-
That’s how the next few days went.
Tyler would toss and turn in the guest bed while you slept down the hall from him, then he’d wake up and make you breakfast, make sure you took your pill, then spend a good couple hours on the couch with you as he showed you more streams or told you another story about your relationship.
While your memory was still a mess, you were beginning to look more and more comfortable at home, and he had a sneaking suspicion that you rather liked being around him as you couldn’t seem to stay away from him, and he loved it. It was like nothing happened, and the feeling of normalcy was definitely needed as Tyler felt like his heart was whole again, even if he was barely holding on at times.
You were laying on the couch, your head on his lap as Tyler ran his fingers through your hair. Your stitches were looking better now that they’ve had time to breathe, and the wound itself was less red and puffy.
“Tell me about…” you trail off as you shift on the couch. “Oh, tell me about our first night in this house. Like, what did we do the night we moved in?”
A small smirk formed on Tyler’s lips as he brushed your hair out of your face. “How ‘bout I tell you about the second night instead?”
Your brows furrowed and you propped your legs up on the armrest of the couch. “Why? What’s wrong with the first night?”
“Oh, nothin’...but it also left nothin’ to the imagination, babe,” he answered and you blushed before nodding.
“Okay, yeah. Tell me about the second night instead,”
Tyler laughed as he paused the movement of his fingers. “Alright,” he agreed. “Our second day here was spent mostly unpackin’, but towards the evenin’, you and I decided to have a break, so we went out onto the back deck, and we didn’t have any furniture out there yet, so you and I sat down on the steps and we watched the sun go down behind the trees. We talked just like this the whole time, like we were still gettin’ to know each other, even though we know everythin’ about one another.”
You smiled and let out a quiet hum. “Every minute with you seems perfect, Ty,” you mumbled, “I almost want to think you’re lying to me and trying to make it sound like we had the perfect relationship.”
Tyler ran his knuckles along your jaw, grinning at the way you leaned into his touch. “We did,” he murmured, then added, “We still do.”
Nodding slowly, you sat up on the couch and turned to face him. “I hope so,” you said so quietly, Tyler almost didn’t hear you.
Almost.
“You and I are fine, babe,” he assured you, reaching over to tuck your hair behind your ear. “Even though there’s not much in this pretty head of yours right now, I know we’re gonna be just fine. I promise.”
The grateful smile you gave him made his heart swoon, and he knew that no matter how many years have passed and will pass, you’ll always be able to make him feel this way. Like how he did when he first fell in love with you.
“Okay,” you mumbled, leaning into his touch. “I guess I have no choice but to believe you.” Your voice was teasing, and he was helpless to stop the faint blush that formed on his face.
-
It had been a week since Tyler brought you home from the hospital, and your memory still wasn’t back. It wasn’t really showing much of a hint that it was on its way back, but Tyler was still hopeful.
In the meantime, he’s more than fine with creating more memories with you while you carefully try to coax the old ones to return.
You were officially off your pain meds as of last night, and your head was looking a lot better than it did a week ago, and in about another week or so, you’d be able to get the stitches removed.
After a bit of pestering from you, Tyler finally caved and let you come with him to get groceries. It didn’t take much, because the house was running low on food before your injury, and he hadn’t left your side since, so he was definitely working with scraps at this point and needed to go get actual food.
It was good for you to get out of the house, too. You already seemed like you were completely comfortable in it again, and that made Tyler beyond happy.
He let you push the cart since you were still a bit shaky, and he was a close step behind you as he let you go down any aisle you wanted. A few kids stared at your stitched up cut and cringed as you walked by them, but you just smiled at them while Tyler reminded himself that they were kids and that they didn’t know any better.
He nearly bumped into you when you stopped and reached for something on the shelf. “What about these?” You asked with a sweet smile as you turned to face him, your hand gripping a box of Oreo cookies. “Sugar might help my head, right? That’s what everyone says, right?”
Tyler laughed quietly and shook his head, knowing how much of a sweet tooth you are. It was pretty much a miracle that you’ve gone a week and a half without so much as a bite of anything sugary. That doesn’t mean you haven’t been dropping subtle hints throughout the week, this one was just flat out obvious though. “Baby, the only thing these are gonna do is give you a sugar rush. Nice try though,” he said as he took the box from you.
You stuck out your lip and pouted at him, and he wanted to kiss you so badly. It had been over a week since he gave you anything more than a hug and a kiss on your forehead, but he was letting you control the pace of things. Even if it was slowly making him touch-starved. “But my head is fine,” you say and he gives you a look. “Okay, my head will be fine, the doctor said so. And what if I promise to save them until after I get my stitches out?”
Tyler raises an eyebrow and gives you a skeptical look. “Uh huh, I know your tricks. You’ll pull that box out of the bag as soon as we get home and eat every single one,” he teased and you blushed a bit before laughing.
“You have no faith in me,” you scoff, draping your arms over the handle of the cart as you look between his eyes and the box in his hands.
Tyler grinned, shaking his head. “Of course I don’t. You have zero control when it comes to cookies. These won’t last five minutes,”
You smile at him and open your mouth to respond, but then you go quiet. At your sudden silence, Tyler looked up from the cookies and focused his attention back on you.
“Baby? You still with me?” He asked with a soft laugh, but you suddenly seemed distant as you looked over his shoulder. “Hey, you okay? I was just kiddin’, babe.”
You nodded slowly, and then Tyler noticed that your gaze was fixated on something behind him. “Yeah,” you mumbled, leaning back on the cart. “Sorry…sorry.”
Tyler shook his head, tossing the box into the cart before moving closer to you. “Don’t be sorry, baby, just tell me what’s wrong,” he murmured, reaching up to take your chin in between his index finger and thumb. Once he knew that you were alright, he glanced over his shoulder to try and see what you were looking at.
You hold onto his arm as he takes note of the couple a few feet down the aisle, big grins on their faces as they look down at their matching wedding bands that look brand new. “That could’ve been us,” you mumbled, “You want to marry me, Ty, and you’ve asked me, but I said no. And I don’t know why, because you’re perfect and we’re perfect, and I said no. Why did I say no?”
Tyler looks back at you with furrowed brows. The conversation of marriage hadn’t been brought back up since you first asked about it the day he brought you home, but the couple down the aisle clearly triggered something in you. And now you looked like you were on the verge of tears.
Okay, maybe he could’ve held off on groceries for a few more days, because you were beginning to look overwhelmed, and that was the last thing Tyler wanted.
“Hey, it’s okay,” he said, turning you around so you weren’t looking at the newlyweds anymore. “It’s alright. I don’t want you beatin’ yourself up about it, okay? That’s not why I’ve been tellin’ you these things. I don’t want you to feel bad about any of it.”
He pressed his front against your back and hugged you from behind as you looked down at the tiled floor. “But I want to marry you, Ty,” you whispered and Tyler’s heart skipped multiple beats at that, because that was the first time you had ever said that. During his proposals, you just gave different reasons as to why you couldn’t get married yet, but here you are now, telling him after spending a week and a half by his side that you want to marry him.
His words get caught in his throat as he leans down to gently rest his chin on your shoulder. “It’s okay,” he said again, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. “We’re gonna get married one day, I promise. We just need some more time, that’s all. But I swear, baby, I’m gonna marry you one day. And I don’t care how long I need to wait, okay? Please, please, babe, don’t think about that right now or force it. Let it come to you.”
You sniffle and nod, leaning back against him as you grip his forearm that’s wrapped around your chest. “Okay,” you whispered, and he held you like that in the snack aisle for as long as you needed him to. Once you had calmed down, you tilted your head and looked up at him, and the request you had made his heart skip another few beats. “Tonight…will you sleep with me? In our bed?”

ricky 리키
lets you play with his hair
i think ricky is honestly extremely particular with his hair, and especially who gets to touch it
his hair isn’t very visibly damaged despite getting it dyed frequently / basically not having black hair since he was probably fifteen years old (and he’s nineteen now, so that says something) so he has to take good care of it not to have it fried off
there were stories about him during bopeul where they said they always saw him fully ready with perfectly styled hair whenever he left his room, too
like i’m not even kidding he has to care for his hair a whole lot or by now he could’ve been bald i’m sorry
when his friends—mainly gyuvin—try to play with his hair or comb their fingers through it, ricky allows it but is not that pleased because he put effort into styling his hair and doesn’t want it to get messed up
gyuvin jokingly whines a little, but is over it after a few seconds
when ricky started dating you, although he thoroughly knew you and almost all of your habits and mannerisms, he didn’t think you would be into playing with his hair
you’re hanging out, watching a movie at your apartment while your head is rested on his shoulder when he feels your fingers suddenly brush through the strands of his hair
he turns to look at you, partly shocked but also just wondering what you’re planning on doing to his hair
you shrug your shoulders, keeping your eyes on the tv and not minding him one bit
“what are you doing?” he asks, a little amused
he expects you to reply playfully, to exchange banter or something like that
but instead, you say, “your hair is really soft, you know,” as you proceed to curl a portion with your finger acting as the curling iron
ricky quite literally folded that day... now he lets you do whatever you want with his hair
you can braid it, curl it, whatever
he doesn’t mind as long as it’s you, even if he spent nearly an hour fixing it this morning
you’re in a cafe talking to gyuvin and gunwook, sitting at the other side of the table when you lift your arm to twirl ricky’s hair, him not remotely flinching at the contact
gyuvin is pleasantly surprised to witness this sight
“you don’t let me do that,” he sulks, aimed at ricky
your boyfriend scoffs. “you’re not [name].”
gyuvin 규빈
always texts you + makes sure you’ve eaten
okay i think i’ve seen a lot of people say this already idk but i think it’s soooo true
gyuvin texts you excessively
like. about anything
there was one instance when his little brother had a crush on a girl, and gyuvin literally went to you for help and his brother didn’t even have an inkling of what was happening
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): [NAME] MY LITTLE BROTHER... is... growing up :(
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): he used to be so small i could put him in my pocket and now
yn: what happened???
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): he LIKES A GIRL. who told him it was okay to get a girlfriend? at his toddler age??
yn: gyuvin i love you but we started dating when We were his age
and then he continued to ask you for advice on how to help his brother get the girl he liked
there’s more instances of him oversharing his brother’s life with you, but that ends there
he also buys you snacks all the time
even if you don’t want it. even if you verbally, very clearly, straightforwardly tell him you’re not the tiniest bit hungry
he’s basically your mother oml
he makes those little snack baggies for you to take
before you both graduated, gyuvin would bring you lunch. it didn’t just stop at snacks
he would ask his mom to help him cook for you
and he’d make it all cute and stuff like shaping the rice to be your favorite character
he’d pack it to school and give it to you in the morning. omg
mixing those two things together, you get “have you eaten yet” texts all the time
it’s two pm, and you were so stuck while helping a friend that you regrettably forgot to eat lunch. ‘it’s okay,’ you assure yourself, ‘i had a late breakfast’
gyuvin texts you, asking the usual “have you eaten lunch????” and you lie and say yes
and then your phone rings and you know you can’t avoid it anymore because he can see through your voice when you lie
from the speaker of your phone, gyuvin’s voice is unbelievably attractive—but you choose to ignore that fact for now
“[name],” he deadpans. “be honest. have you eaten?”
choosing to accept defeat, you exhale deeply. “no.”
gyuvin suddenly hangs up and only a text is left on your screen
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): i’m coming over in. like 30 minutes i have to ask my mom to help me cook
gunwook 건욱
teaches you how to dance
gunwook is SO good at dancing it’s so crazy
i love watching him on stage because he’s the best performer ever. like he seems to genuinely enjoy it and i hope he never loses that love for dancing / singing / rapping
you on the other hand..... you could be good at dancing too, just definitely not as good as gunwook
so whenever your scheduled dates are interrupted by his extracurriculars at school, you decide to tag along with him, if the members of his clubs don’t mind (which they usually don’t)
one of his extracurriculars is the dance team
and most of the time, when your preplanned dates are cancelled because of an extracurricular he has lined up for him, it is almost always dance
so you end up following him to the practice room, silently watching him in the corner so as to not obstruct their view of the mirror by sitting directly in front of them
his eyes light up with the flame of passion you adore so much, and you’re so content that even if your date is cancelled because of this, you’re not annoyed and you still get to indirectly spend some time with him by spectating him as he does what he likes
in the short breaks that he gets, he takes the opportunity to sit beside you on the floor and ask about your day
when the practice session ends, he asks if it’s okay with you if he stays to polish up the routine, to which you say yes and offer to stay with him because everyone else has started to leave
after a while, he grows tired and plops down next to you
gunwook chuckles. “i’m sorry for cancelling our date and making you stay with me.”
“it’s alright, i like watching you dance.” you smile
he abruptly stiffens up, irises reflecting the light, making his eyes glow excitedly. “do i dance well? what do you think?”
you giggle. “you dance very well. a lot better than i can, for sure.”
“mhm, yeah?” he grins widely, and you know what he’s going to do
gunwook jumps up on his feet, extending his hand out to you to help you get up
“you just need a little help.” he nods proudly. “you’re lucky i’m your boyfriend.”
you take his hand, and he leads you to the center of the room and he starts to dance with you ballroom style (???) like the waltz and stuff
he guides your arms over his shoulder to circle his neck, and his hands rest on your waist and then he starts counting, “4... 3... 2... 1... like this,” as he takes a singular step in different directions, encouraging you to mirror his movements
you almost trip, but you tightly cling on to his shoulders before you can fall
gunwook laughs. “enough dancing for today?”
“yes, please,” you agree, letting your body fall forwards into a hug with him
“alright. if you’re not that tired, are you still up for that date?”
yujin 유진
(tries to) initiate / enjoys physical touch
yujin doesn’t seem like his love language is physical touch.... i know gyuvin does it a lot to him and he kinda pretends to not like it but it’s so endearing and i sooo believe he deep down loves it
it’s the same with you, but he’s the one intiating it
he never thought he liked skinship all that much, because he would even jokingly say it pestered him a little at times when gyuvin would dote on him
but when it came to you, and when you first started dating, he was itching to hold your hand
it was so new to him because he never craved for anyone’s physical affection before
all his older friends like gyuvin and gunwook would always just.... initiate skinship for him and he thought he didn’t like it but
suddenly you come along, and you don’t even try to hold his hand
he thought couples were supposed to hold hands?? and hug??
but you’re not budging and it’s so frustrating
while walking you home from school like usual, as you tell him about your day, he tries to gather the courage to intertwine your hands
it doesn’t work, and he’s left with cold hands as he stares at you enter your front door
“next time,” he whispers to no one but the wind
next time comes and still... he’s too nervous to hold your hand
the distance between your palms is less than four inches, and all he has to do is take the leap—besides, nothing could go that wrong. you like him and he likes you
he purposely bumps the back of his hand with yours, but doesn’t actually take your hand in his
he awkwardly rubs his nape, unsure of what to do now
your brows knit together, as you’re now aware of yujin’s weird behavior
“yujin?” you tug on his uniform sleeve. “is something wrong?”
“no! nothing’s wrong,” he quickly denies, “don’t worry about it.”
“okay... can i see your hand, though?” you request, and it successfully confuses him because why do you want to see his hand?
he obliges, giving it to you palm up when you lace your fingers with his
“i’ve noticed you trying to hold my hand since last week,” you say, giggling. “i was waiting for you to do it, but i guess you’re too shy.”
“i’m not that shy,” yujin defends, looking down at your interlocked hands... ‘this is a good feeling,’ he thinks
you nod passively. “it’s fine. it’s one of the reasons why i like you.” you swing both your hands back and forth in the space between you
yujin doesn’t try to retort, only relishing the feeling of your hand in his
skinship isn’t so bad... maybe he could get used to this.

THE LAST TIME
~1k words
>you find out dean is going to die soon. and he wants to spend his last meeting with you well.
warnings/notes: smut, minors dni! set in the 2nd half of the 3rd season, may be kinda angsty, oral (f!receiving), fingering, gn/afab reader, no usage of y/n
REBLOGS WILL BE APPRECIATED!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were shocked.
Starting from scratch...you and Dean ended on a bad note. Horrible notes. If those notes were put together into a song, it would be the ugliest melody known to man.
You really wanted to help him find his father, you could have - but somehow Dean thought it was too dangerous. Like you two weren't both hunters when you were kids.
But you still forgave him when he hadn't been around for weeks... months. years. You called, and he didn't pick up, changed numbers.
And then you just find out that the Winchesters opened the gates of hell. It was enough to shock you. But it was compounded by the way he and his brother just showed up at your hotel room - they probably found out where you were from Bobby - and in casual fashion just decided to help you with the case. And Dean, as if inadvertently, on your refusal, threw in the fact that he'd be dead in less than six months.
This case wasn't easy, yeah. You've never dealt with real demons before, honestly. Werewolves, vampires, wendigos, ghosts of all kinds-- but no demons. A bunch of demons took over an entire town. You couldn't have done it alone, yes; but with news like this, it was impossible to focus on the case.
Dean could have died so soon, and you still spent those few years just waiting for him. If you wanted to, you would have been there. You could have fixed it-- it tormented you.
"You know, it'd be funny if I died without ever fucking you again."
He said it with a smile, as if it were no business at all. You'd known him for so long that you definitely realized how strained that smile was. On Dean Winchester's smile sincerity scale, which rated a pure and genuine laugh at ten, this smile you rated at one and a half at most.
But you also knew that this distraction...it wouldn't hurt you both, to be honest.
You were cuddling on a decrepit motel bed. Sam is somewhere in the library, trying to find something you haven't found yet. You rest your nose in his hair, resting your hand on his jaw, lifting his head slightly. "I always knew you were a jerk, Winchester, but not this much."
It's his turn to silence your complaints with his lips as he raises his head sharply. And you don't resist at all. Why would you ever resist?
You didn't notice the moment the gentle cuddling turned into something more sultry.
His hands all over your body, as if he was trying to imprint every cell of your body in his head, to memorize every mole and hollow and bulge.
Where before he'd been lying against your shoulder, now you were under him, tangling your fingers in his short hair. There was nowhere to tangle, and yet you were doing it.
"I'm not letting you go. No fucking hell, you're stuck here with me," you whisper in his ear, kissing his temple and cheekbones. Dean can only grin as he moves down to your neck. He knows there's no way out, thanks to Ruby for opening his eyes.
But he doesn't say anything back, just mumbles into your skin about how beautiful you are, how soft you are, how he fucking loves you. Like you don't know that.
A few long moments of his worship of your body, and Dean is already pulling the waistband of your unbuttoned jeans and underwear down with his teeth. A few long moments of his worship of your body, and Dean's teeth are pulling the waistband of your unbuttoned jeans down, along with your underwear, and the black lace falls to the floor along with the denim as he bumps his nose against the inside of your thighs, stopping abruptly.
He inhales your scent and visibly shakes. His breathing is shaky, like he's ready to cry. He knows for sure that the only thing he'll remember in hell is Sam and you.
"Dean?" You call out, gently lowering your hand to caress his cheek and lift his face up by his chin. He rests his head on your stomach and kisses the soft skin, smirking.
"Forget it, baby" And he lowers himself sharply, pouncing on you like he's starving. His tongue first passes from bottom to top, licking away the moisture of your arousal, then flicks the clit a few times until Dean's lips press against it, sucking. Vacuum drives you crazy, that's for sure.
He knows how to do it, and you know it. And over time, he clearly hasn't lost his skills, although your brain pushes the idea that his tongue could be in someone other than you away.
Dean doesn't hold back, he literally whimpers. He missed it as much as you did, maybe more. His thick fingers play with your slit until one middle finger slips into the wet walls, and he literally moans in pleasure.
"Still just as supple," he whispers, sending vibrations through your lower abdomen, the fingers of his free hand stroking your waist and stomach as he returns to your clit and wet folds.
His finger doesn't give you a break; God, his finger alone could replace any toy, honestly. Especially when he pushes the second one in and pauses for a few seconds to make sure you're okay with the shift, but when your hands roughly clutch his hair in your fist, he knows he's doing it right and goes back to the same pace.
You're on the verge of release, of edge--
"Baby, baby, love, let it out, come on..." He growls, encouragingly - but lightly, nonchalantly - spanking your ass. And God, that was the last straw as you squeak his name loudly, clutching his head between your thighs.
But if this was his last sex with you in his life, he wasn't gonna stop so soon.

That You Are
09/16/2024
Pairing: Hozier x reader
Word Count: 1,057
Warnings: rpf, yearning
Summary: He is far away even though he longs to be anywhere that you are.
A/N: Seriously, I have no idea if this is any good or even worth sharing with you, but here we go anyway. Heavily inspired by song and video, as you can probably tell…

It’s getting late. Late enough for the day to come to an end. For the sun to  vanish in the distance, where the barren land melts into the horizon. Pastel hues of pink, orange and blue have replaced the bright azure in the sky. And for the first time I can breathe again. The mild air fills my lungs, my whole body winding down with a sigh of relief. Because with the sun, the heat has left the air. The suffocating, scorching heat that has tortured me all day. That has stretched the hours and minutes and seconds until it almost made me believe this day would never end.
But it did. And you of all people know what this means to me. What it means to us. One day less of being apart. One day less of longing to be close to you. Of sitting here on my own, in front of me a view so stunning it makes my heart ache. And it aches even more for not being able to share this moment with you. I’ve taken a picture to send to you later. But as so often, the colours are a bit off, the angle not quite right. Or maybe it is simply the fact that there is something about this world that no lens will ever be able to capture.
Are you still fast asleep, my darling? I hope you are. The day is still young for you, the sun not yet ready to brighten your side of the world. I’ll send it to you, and with it all my love. As I always do, so that every ray of sunlight may remind you of it, may warm you like the hugs you so dearly miss. I promise you’ll get them all. I’ll even throw in a few more to make up for the long wait.
How I wish I could hold you in my arms right now. Instead I am dreaming of you, eyes wide open, seemingly transfixed by the spectacle in front of me when all I really see is you. It’s almost as if you were here with me.
Somewhere behind me I can hear the soft tapping of your bare feet on the floor. It has to be you. I recognise the rhythm of your stride blindly. It’s engraved into my memory like all the other little things about you. Your unique scent, the melody of your voice, the feeling of your skin against mine, the even beat of your heart, the cadence of your breath. For a second I can feel it crawl along my neck before the touch of your lips drowns out every other sensation. They are warm and smooth as they delicately press against my pulse. And they are gone as soon as they have appeared. But the smile they brought to mine lingers.
I watch as your entire form comes into view. You look comfortable in those wide clothes. You don’t have to say it, I know you are just as relieved that the sun is gone as I am. No more sweating, no more sticky skin, the thin sheen of moisture covering your body and the gentle breeze in your wet hair heavenly refreshing.
Your smile carries it all. And I am glad my hands know on their own what to do, how to hold the instrument, how to pick the chords. Because everything I see in this moment is the curve of your lips, and everything I am becomes you for this fleeting fragment of time.
I love you. All of me loves you. I want to tell you, but the words never form, sealed inside my chest as your hand finds me. Wordlessly it asks me to make room for you, and I do. And as soon as my legs fall open, you sink down between them. One arm claiming my thigh, your head soon follows. It might not be the most comfortable of pillows to rest on, but you don’t seem to mind. Maybe it’s the view that makes up for it, the tiny rest of the sun that is still visible, like the last gleaming ember of a bonfire.
Gently your lips press against the light blue denim that covers my thigh, and as much as I wish they would press against my lips instead, your sweet gesture of affection makes my heart want to leap out of its cage and into your loving hands. It would be safe with you. That is a truth indelible. Probably the only one.
It’s only now that I realise I have started to whistle. Of course it is this song. What other song would it be?
“Will you sing for me?” you ask, your voice barely louder than a whisper. Are you afraid I will deny you your wish? Or are you still worried about my voice even though I am feeling much better these days? Don’t be. I’m good. And you are with me. What else could I ask for?
Softly I begin the first verse as your fingers are drawing patterns on my knee in perfect harmony. You pull yourself closer to me, the movement setting a few strands of your hair in motion. They roll across the lower layers like waves to the shore, the last bit of sunlight bringing out the warmest tones in them. My fingers are itching to touch you, but that would mean to stop playing. You would turn immediately and the displeasure on your face would be much worse than to deny myself the silky touch of your hair as it runs through my fingers.
There will be time enough for that later. When I will hold you in my arms, the world around us falling silent until it will be hard to imagine that it consists of more than just you and me. It doesn’t matter anyway that we are just two insignificant parts of a huge integral whole when there is a whole world inside of us that is entirely ours. Yours and mine.
A world in which you are actually here with me on this balcony. In which I am dreaming next to you, pulling you closer against my chest, not even sleep numbing my longing for you. A world in which I will always be anywhere that you are.

Tumblr media
The knock on your door is so light it barely qualifies as a knock, more like a baby knocking on the door asking for entry.
You open it to see Reo balancing a box of cookies, Isagi looking over both shoulders like he’s expecting to get tackled, Bachira grinning like he’s about to do something illegal, and Nagi… barefoot and yawning. “Reo told me to walk. That was annoying,” Nagi says by way of hello. “You literally live five doors down,” you say, letting them in.
They kicked their shoes off and fully entered your room. You took one of the crumbled cookies and started eating it till Bachira practically slammed a pack of cards in front of you. "We're Not Really Strangers," the package read, “We’re going to play, we're not really strangers but the cards are a tad bit messier.” Reo narrows his eyes. “You mean emotionally manipulative.” “I mean fun.” Isagi sighs like his soul just left his body. “Can I opt out?” “Nope,” you and Bachira say in unison.
Bachira wiggles his eyebrows and holds out the cards. “Y/N draws first. House rules.” You glance around the circle, Reo is lounging on your bean bag chair, Isagi is sitting cross-legged and visibly stressed, Nagi is slouched against your bed, staring at you with half-lidded curiosity.
You pick a card. “Alright. ‘What’s something you’ve never told anyone here?’” Everyone groans. “Wow. Starting strong,” Reo mutters, rubbing his temple. “I’ll go,” Bachira offers cheerfully. “One time, I replaced Ego’s black coffee with chocolate protein shake as an experiment.” “Did he notice?” you ask. “He said nothing. But the next day, there were two locks on the staff fridge.” Next card goes to Reo.
He reads it aloud: “Who’s someone here you wouldn’t mind being stuck with on a deserted island?” “I feel like there’s a correct answer.” Isagi said Reo shrugs. “Y/n.” “WHAT?!” Bachira gasps.
“You’re resourceful,” Reo says, cool and casual. “Also, you’ve got the ‘keep us alive’ energy.” “PFTTTT I wish I was practically spoon feeding my entire life I’d probably kill myself if I got stuck on a deserted island.” You confessed making the boys laugh at you.
“I’d still want to be stuck with Y/n too. She wouldn’t make me do anything.” Nagi said before Isagi spoke up “Okay but you’d die in like six hours.” Nagi shrugs. “Worth it.”.
Isagi draws the next one. “'What do you notice first when you like someone?'” He pauses. Look up at the group. “Don’t make this weird.” “Too late.” Bachira said Isagi sighs. “I guess… their smile.” “That’s actually cute,” you admit. Isagi turns bright red. “I literally hate this game.” He huffed out.
Then Nagi lazily reaches forward, picks up a card with two fingers like it’s heavy. He reads it slowly. “‘What would you say if you knew they wouldn’t forget it?’” No one says anything.
Reo leans forward. “Dude. You gonna answer?” Nagi glances at you. His voice is low. Almost like he’s just talking to you. “I’d say I like it when you talk to me like I’m more than just another player.” Silence. Actual silence.
Reo’s eyes go wide. Isagi makes a strangled sound. Bachira straight-up clutches his chest like he’s in a drama. “HELP WHY IS BACHIRA ACTUALLY CLUTCHING HIS PEARLS.” You say causing you and Bachira to burst out into a fit of laughter.
“Anyway.” Nagi flops backward onto your bed. “I’m tired now.” “Bro,” Isagi whispers. “You can’t just say stuff like that and nap.” “Well watch me.” Nagi said back now, grabbing a pillow and two of your blankets, throwing it on the floor and throwing the two blankets over him.
“Wow…” You say looking at the boy who was now asleep on your floor. “We’ll wake him up before we leave.” Reo said as the three of you continued playing the card game.
After what felt like twenty more questions Reo had fallen asleep so the other two boys finally decided it was time to go to bed so they woke Nagi and Reo up and they waved you bye as the four left your room.

I always had a funny idea for something about a very energetic reader and a pretty lazy Astro. A complete tone opposite in energy.
I don't really mind what format it's in, your stuff. (I mean by this like hc, oneshot etc).
Letting the Bed Bugs Bite
Headcanon format woah I'm spinning a wheel btw so if you think you requested something first and should get first pick, the wheel says otherwise.
Tumblr media
(Woah, handwriting so kawaii!!!)
================================================
"...How about-"
"NO NAPS IM ON A WINNING STREAK RIGHT NOW!"
"...Of what?"
"I... don't know?"
He can't keep up with you, unsurprisingly. Does it cause strain in your relationship? At times, yeah. It can get pretty exhausting for him to constantly attempt to keep up with you due to your energy. Which he originally doesn't mind, but after he realizes how difficult it is to try to calm you down at times, it can cause problems.
This can happen at night where you probably wake him up every time he tries to fall asleep, which unsurprisingly can annoy him and likely other toons depending on how loud you are. He'll constantly remind you to keep it down to not wake anyone else up.
He doesn't mind the overstimulation. Or at least, you don't think he does. But you constantly bouncing from place to place with him subsequently being in tow does cause him to fidget a bit. Maybe you'll notice and slow down a bit to let him relax a little, but it doesn't stop him from imploring you to take a nap.
On the topic of sleeping, you can confidently say that Astro doesn't have a clue about what you commonly dream about. That's mostly due to you not getting your 6-8 recommended hours of sleep. The few dreams that Astro does see could be your inner secrets, or it could just be you doing you. It's really up to what mood you're in.
The very very few times where you do get exhausted from moving around and do agree to take a nap with Astro is the few moments where you can visibly see him calm down. He's not really calm prior because he's always getting dragged into whatever you're doing. Being said, Astro still does love you (platonically or romantically) it's just hard to keep up.
He asks (begs) you to use that energy with the kids (if Gardenview is still open) or asks you to distract Twisteds (if Gardenview is closed). You do both of these things because what else are you going to do? Meanwhile Astro uses his ability to regenerate your stamina regardless of what you're doing. And honestly, that's rare.
Because of your dynamic, other Toons frequently ask if Astro's alright (some more than others) to which he insists he's fine. He's not really wrong, since he can handle your energy just fine, it's just when it becomes too much when it becomes a problem. You're likely unaware of this unless Astro tells you about it, which he most likely won't.
He occasionally tags along in whatever you're doing (whenever you're not forcefully dragging him into it) just to make sure you're not putting yourself or others in danger. Usually, that would be the Toon Handlers or Staff's problems, but you're most likely going to listen to him rather than anyone else.
...
Yeah, a Twisted Astro would be your worst nightmare, probably. His ability to make you not regenerate stamina as fast would make you one of the first Toons to die, except you won't, because of reasons. In the event that the encounter does happen, Twisted Astro carries you around; much to your dismay. How dare he get rid of your 'endless' energy?!
Twisted Astro would admit that he -sort of- misses your 'endless' stream of energy, it reminded him of a better time, where Ichor was the least of his worries. And he adores the fact that you haven't really changed a bit from your old self. (Except for maybe some moping about not being able to see him more often)

Chapter 2 - An affair to remember
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Chapter 2, here we are! Leave a comment, heart or reblog if you enjoyed reading this. And no, I couldn’t just settle on one photo.
Pairing: Tony Stark x F! Reader
Warning: 18+ loss of virginity, age gap, smut.
Word count: 4025
An affair to remember
After trying around eleven outfits and disliking each of them for some reason or other, you settled on a simple floral button down blouse with a pair of jeans. You weren’t exactly sure if he’d asked you out on a date or the drink was just a friendly offer.
Of course it’s a date, you kissed him, Y/N, you thought to yourself. The mirror of your car revealed a visibly nervous reflection of you, fixing your hair multiple times, redoing your lipstick before you shook yourself mentally and drove off. Stark tower was a twenty minute drive from your apartment, and since it was a Sunday, traffic was in your favour thankfully.
By the time the tall, shiny building came into view, you had worked yourself up into taking this as a business meeting. You would be professional with the man and politely decline drinks if he’d offered. It would be inappropriate. You were sure he felt the same way.
Apparently your arrival was expected and welcomed in a pleasantly surprising way. A chubby, friendly looking man gave you a smile as you entered the foyer, introducing himself as Happy Hogan. He escorted you up to Mr. Stark’s floor or rather floors which was the penthouse of the ninety-three storeyed building.
The space was swanky, stylish and impeccably designed. Floor to ceiling windows that offered the most stunning views of the city, sleek and modern furniture that only screamed rich. You smoothed down your top and cleared your throat as you approached the outdoor seating area where Tony sat, wearing a dark coloured shirt and some jeans. Casual but still quite well put together, you thought.
“Ah! Miss Y/L/N, you made it. Thanks, Happy.”
As your hands touched, the spark was back, one that made your insides buzz with excitement as you smiled at each other, letting your handshake extend for longer than necessary. It was only when Happy cleared his throat to announce his exit that you broke contact.
As he left, you considered bringing up the elephant in the room that loomed large, causing you to shuffle your weight from one foot to the other. Maybe if you addressed it right away, you could move on and be done with it? Not let the meeting be awkward for the rest of the evening.
Meanwhile, Tony was trying his best to focus on anything but your irresistible lips. He was drawn to them, it was quite unexplainable but he wanted nothing more than to have your lips on his again.
“So…” you started, twirling a lock of hair nervously between your fingers as you looked around, aware of his gaze following.
“So.”
“I think we should talk about what happened. Look, it was a mistake, I don’t know what came over me, I shouldn’t have kissed you like that.”
Tony blinked his disappointment away and nodded in agreement. It was probably for the best.
“Yeah, probably. You’re right. It—it was inappropriate.”
“Yes! I mean, you’re friends with my Dad and also way out of my league.”
Your admission made him smirk, watching your cheeks flush with realization of what you had said.
“Out of your league huh? What is your league? Overzealous frat boys?” he teased.
“Haha. You’re funny.” You rolled your eyes but hoped he’d drop the subject, thankfully he did, brushing it off as no harm done, much to your relief.
You unconsciously reached for your camera, thinking it’d be better if you steered the subject to the big photoshoot.
“You brought your camera, why?” Tony murmured, pointing to the device sticking out from your bag.
“I just thought I’d do a few test shots of the locations you’d be photographed in. Check the lighting and things. It will be a day shoot, right?”
Tony frowned, realizing he was yet to work out all of that or he probably had been sent the schedule but it slipped his mind. He also thought it’d be a good idea to inform Natalie about the change in photographer, since the magazine had been adamant on bringing their own person for the job.
“That’s a good question, I have no idea. But don’t worry, I’ll have my secretary send you the details.”
Humming in agreement, you asked if he could show you around the space, get an idea about what the vibe of the interview was going to be like. He happily agreed and began a tour of the place, explaining what housed on each floor, giving you a background about his business which you kinda already knew - one Google search was all it took to give the necessary details and some unnecessary ones as well. Tony had a notorious reputation of being a playboy, he certainly lived a very colourful life and had made no qualms about it.
Still, his eyes reflected the passion he had for technology as he spoke, the pride he took in pointing out all of the achievements Stark Industries had over the years.
Primarily a weapons manufacturer, he decided on taking a different route for his company after a particularly life-changing incident in Afghanistan. The man was abducted by a terrorist group called Ten Rings and kept in a cave for three months.
While how he escaped remained a mystery to the world, his return had been miraculous. He led you back to his grand living room, gesturing you to take a seat.
“You said an explosive blew up not far from you and yet you came out of that cave scratch free? How?” you asked about his incredulous story.
“Not just any explosive, it was one of my own creations. And I never said it was scratch free.”
He seemed to ponder for a while, looking around as if to check if anyone was spying on you two before he reached for the buttons of his shirt, undoing them to reveal what looked like a circular battery-like device emitting a faint blue light. It seemed as if it was jammed in his chest, the peripheral skin scarred.
“What is that?”
He chuckled as your eyes went wide, glancing down at the device that was keeping him alive.
“It’s an electromagnet that essentially keeps the shrapnel from reaching my heart. It’s called an arc reactor, there is another one of these, a much bigger one that powers this building.” he explained, buttoning his shirt back up and letting you know how he managed to power it with the help of a man named Ho Yinsen in the caves.
If it weren’t for that little device, and the brave sacrifice of Yinsen, the world would’ve lost Tony Stark and you would’ve never met this incredible man.
“And here I assumed you sold your soul to the devil.”
Your words made him laugh, feeling a little flutter in that battery-operated heart. He wasn’t sure what made him reveal the arc reactor to you, he hadn’t let anyone see it, except for Rhodey since he found him in the desert. Something about you reassured him that you were trustworthy. You were like a breath of fresh air.
After returning, Tony Stark had dedicated much of his business to RnD in the field of science and technology. You listened with keen interest, getting to know the man better with each passing moment, you couldn’t help but admire him for all the success he’d achieved.
“Gosh. Where are my manners? I haven’t offered you anything to drink, Miss Y/L/N.” Tony exclaimed, right as one of his bots whirred in with a silver tray that had a bottle of champagne on ice with two glasses.
“Robots bringing in champagne? You planned this, didn’t you?” you chuckled, finding it rather hard to refuse it. I mean, it wouldn’t really hurt having one glass. Right?
“I’m just trying to make a good first impression.” he shrugged, popping the bottle open expertly before filling the two glasses.
“Why? You’re not an overzealous frat boy.” you teased, taking a sip of the champagne while holding his gaze.”
“Oh honey, I’m much better.”
There it was again.
The tingle of excitement you felt deep within your belly every time you had a banter. Even though you wouldn’t admit to yourself, you were attracted to the man. He was just so sure of who he was, he carried himself with a certain confidence that was quite sexy.
For the next couple of hours, you two spoke about anything and everything, making you realize how easy he was to talk to despite the age difference. You spoke about your relationship with your parents, your eyes lit up each time you mentioned how your father had been your biggest cheerleader while Tony listened with a soft smile on his face. His phone kept buzzing every now and then and he kept dismissing it. When it rang for the fourth time, you thought it was time for you to head back since you’d stayed for longer than you had intended to.
“You should get that, it’s probably important. I’ll get going.”
Tony stood up with you, not really ready to let you go just yet, though the incessant buzzing of his Stark pad was hard to ignore.
“Are you sure I can’t persuade you for another glass? Perhaps some wine? Happy could drive you home later..”
The offer was tempting, and you weren’t ready to say goodbye either but you had to. You would see him next week anyways.
“Thank you, but I think I should head back, it’s late. What you’ve done with Stark Industries is truly remarkable. Thank you for sharing your story with me. You’re an incredible man, Tony. I don’t think you give yourself enough credit for it.” You smiled, meaning every word you’d said.
He had been complimented many times before but something about your words made him believe it. He felt his heart dance a little with joy.
“See you on Wednesday then?”
“Uh yeah. See you.”
Deciding on a friendly hug, you wrapped your arms around him, breathing in his scent, something so oddly comforting about it. Smiling to yourself when you felt Tony’s breath against your hair, you pulled back only to find him staring at your lips. You kissed him on the cheek quickly, and stepped back, not trusting yourself to not make the same impulsive decision no matter how much you wanted to do it.
“Bye, Tony.”
“Goodbye, Y/N.”
He watched you until the elevator doors closed, leaving you to let out a sigh and lean against the cold metal. The whole way down, you contemplated what it would be like to kiss Tony, recalling the moment your lips had touched the other night. It only lasted a second but it hadn’t left your mind ever since.
You wanted to do it again.
You wanted more. Him. In every way possible. It was like a need you felt that drew you to him, like a moth to a flame. You knew it would be dangerous and yet it was impossible to resist the temptation.
It was probably why you decided to go with your instincts and press the button that led you back to Tony Stark.
He had his back to you when you reached his floor again, you saw the same flame of desire dancing in his eyes that danced in yours as he turned to find you standing there. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation as you took long strides and he met you halfway, lips colliding in an instant.
You felt your breath knocked out of your chest as you kissed Tony Stark, a rush of excitement surging through your body as his arms went around you to pull you flush against his chest, keeping you there. You gasped at the intensity and Tony used the opportunity to slide his tongue in your mouth, deepening the kiss.
A lingering taste of champagne mixed with a hint of coffee is what you tasted as you gave in and your hands found their way around his neck, carding through the hair at the nape of his neck.
Not realizing he had walked you back until you were met with the cool wall behind, you felt Tony smile against your lips before they trailed lower, along your jaw, down to your neck. Letting out a soft moan, you tugged on his hair silently signaling him to not stop. Desire flooded through you and gathered between your legs as he continued nipping at your skin, reveling in the little sounds you made. His hands slid up your body to brush against your breasts, his thumb deliberating until your nipples stood erect against his touch.
You felt goose pimples across your body where he touched you as his hands slipped inside your blouse, wanting to feel more of your skin. Wasting no time, Tony unbuttoned it hastily and threw it to the side, bringing his lips over your collarbone, littering small kisses along it.
Letting out a sigh, you felt his hands toy with the hem of your jeans as his mouth closed over your bra-covered nipple. You weren’t alien to the feeling but your eyes fluttered open when Tony unzipped your jeans and let it slide down your legs.
“Bedroom?” he asked huskily after you’d stepped out of them, leaving you in a matching pair of lingerie. You managed a nod before following him inside his bedroom, a heady cocktail of desire and lust swimming in your mind as the man gently laid you against the soft mattress.
“So gorgeous, Y/N.”
He crawled over you with purpose, his gaze darkening as he took in your form before his lips crashed against yours once more. The kiss had more urgency this time, while he prodded your legs open to allow you to feel his growing erection.
You let out another gasp feeling his hardness brush against your core, a rush of ardor followed by sudden insecurity made its presence known as you sat up on your elbow, breaking the kiss.
“Tony, I’ve never um–I mean I’m a–” you fumbled with the choice of words, heat creeping up to your cheeks as you tried to convey you had never done this before. Tony rested his arms on either side, still breathing heavily as he took your words in, his own heartbeat pounding against his ears while blood had rushed southward.
“Do you want to stop? We can if you’re uncomfortable.”
You shook your head, not wanting to back out this but you had apprehensions which he could sense. Gently caressing your bare legs, he rested his forehead against yours.
“Tell me what you want.”
You answered by pulling him in for another hungry kiss and wrapping your legs around him to let him know the answer.
“Words, sweetheart.” he murmured, rolling his hips towards your center once again.
“I want you, Tony. I want this.” you managed, unbuttoning his shirt quickly, surprised at your assertion. In the darkness of the room, the blue glow emitted from his arc reactor acted like a source of light, rendering his features luminescent.
With a couple of hasty kisses against your lips, he made you lie back before trailing his path of open-mouthed kisses down your neck, discarding your bra to expose you some more. Cupping one in a hand, tweaking the nipple between his fingers, Tony closed his mouth around the other one, coaxing out a needy whine.
Treating both of them equally, he allowed his hand to travel lower to cup your sex over your panties, smirking as he found them already damp. You felt your breathing turn shallower as his fingers traced along your clothed slit, brushing against your bundle of nerves every so often.
“I want to taste you, sweetheart. Want to know if you taste just as sweet down there as you do here.” Tony’s words turned your insides to jelly, his lips sucking on your tongue as he slowly peeled the last remaining cloth from your body.
Your heart hammered inside your ribcage as he kissed his way down your body, settling between your legs, holding them apart as you instinctively went to close them.
“Lie back, close your eyes.”
You did as you were told, wetting your bottom lip with your tongue as you felt his breath down there, the air making your glistening folds shine eagerly. He first laid small kisses along your inner thigh before his tongue peeked out to tease you open. You let out a cry when his tongue licked a strip up your entrance, the action wildly exciting and new for nobody had gone down on you before. You felt him draw small circles around your clitoris, sending waves of desire down your spine as you squirmed for more.
“Oh my God!” you panted, anchoring your hands in his hair while he continued.
“Does it feel good, sweetheart?” he did everything in his might to not devour you the way he wanted to, knowing you’d probably feel overwhelmed if he did. In all honesty, your scent drove him mad and your taste was irresistible, he couldn’t get enough.
“Yes! Feels so good, Tony!”
Your words encouraged him to continue the assault, every lick and nudge drawing the sweetest of sounds from you. Your wetness gathered on his finger as he traced a line along it, pushing it inside your heat, grunting as he felt your walls immediately clamp around it.
“Relax, Y/N.” Tony repeated, slowly stroking you with his finger, getting you ready for his cock that strained against his pants. Your slickness helped when he added another finger, drawing out yet another moan as you felt an increase in pressure down there.
His thumb brushed against your clit while he massaged your walls open for him, making you lose all sense of coherence as you felt something building inside of you. The familiar tightness low in your belly when you pleasured yourself when alone, only this time, it felt like it had increased by tenfold. Tony held you down as your hips rose up from the bed in their own accord, matching his ministrations. As your moans got louder, you sensed you were close, tugging on his hair once more, you felt your walls tighten around his fingers.
“Let go, Y/N. Come for me.”
And you did. It felt like a tight-wound rope snapped, giving way for an intense wave of pleasure that shook your body. It felt exhilarating at the same time unreal, like you were floating away on a cloud of bliss. When you came down from your high, Tony had discarded his pants and was slanting his lips over yours, letting you taste some of your essence.
Feeling bolder now, you reached between your bodies to stroke his hard cock over his boxers, hearing his breathing hitch.
“Remove them.” He ordered, aiding you when pushed them down his legs to let his cock spring free.
You felt your walls clamp around nothing at the sight of him, he was big, making you wonder if it would hurt when you finally had him.
Reaching over to the nightstand, you watched Tony tear open a foil of condom and roll it over his length. Settling between your legs once more, he kissed you again, this time with a languid urgency.
You tensed up as his erection poked against your core, sensing it Tony broke the kiss to look into your eyes for signs of apprehension.
“We can still stop if you want to, Y/N. Just say the word.”
Appreciative of how considerate he was being, you knew you were ready. You wanted him, as much as he wanted you. Wrapping your fingers around his length delicately, you stroked him a few times, watching his mouth fall open.
“I want you to fuck me, Tony.”
You whispered, lying back against the pillows and allowing him to take control. He lined up against your entrance, gathering your arousal as he went before slipping just the head of cock inside.
“This will hurt a little. Breathe through it for me?”
Nodding, you felt him push in further, letting out a grunt at your tightness. He was right, the girth of him sliding inside your channel felt odd but electrifying. Tony felt his cock push past the barrier as he entered you, giving you time to get used to the feeling.
You let out a cry as he bottomed out, the feeling of fullness overwhelmed your senses as the pain stung.
Retracting only a little at first, Tony drove his hips back into you, repeating the action a few more times as you felt pain receding and giving way to a new kind of pleasure.
“More.” You begged, digging your fingers into his back as he complied.
Your tight heat felt so amazing around his cock, Tony felt himself getting lost in the feeling. Steadily he set a pace, pushing you against the mattress as his hips speared into you, drawing sinful moans.
The feeling of being wound up again took over, Tony smirked as you wrapped both your legs around his hips tighter, the new angle making his cock reach deeper inside your pussy.
“You’re so tight, Y/N. You’re close again, aren’t you?” He breathed, increasing the force of his thrusts to make his pubic bone brush against your clit.
“Yes! I’m so close. Please, Tony.” You whimpered, moving your hips to match up as sounds of your combined pleasure filled the room.
Reaching between your bodies, he teased your clit while driving in and out of your sopping heat, aiding your second orgasm. You felt yourself clamp around his cock before the same feeling of euphoria took over, making your walls spasm out of control.
Vision blurred and body convulsed under the intense waves of pleasure coursing through your veins as you rode out your high. Tony grunted against your ear as your spasming walls fueled his climax, causing his balls to tighten before he emptied himself in the condom, holding you close. Gingerly, he pulled out of you, making you wince at the sudden emptiness you felt.
“You okay?”
“More than okay.” you grinned lazily, accepting the soft kiss he offered.
As tired as you were, you didn’t protest when he nudged you to get up, leading you to the shower for a quick clean up, the soreness between your legs evident.
You exchanged several kisses in the shower, the hot water working wonders on relaxing your muscles, making it evident you were in need of a nap soon.
Once fully dressed, Tony resisted the urge to make you stay again and walked you out while your car stood, waiting. He could sense you were preoccupied with something since you hadn’t said much.
“Tony, about the photoshoot..”
“Oh no, that’s no longer required. I just wanted to sleep with you.” He shrugged, making your stomach drop for a second before he chuckled, enjoying his joke way more than you did.
“Come on, Y/N. I asked you because you’re the person for the job. This doesn’t change anything.” He smiled, wrapping his arms around your waist to give you a quick kiss.
That definitely quietened your insecurities, but it didn’t ease the thought that you had lost your virginity to this gorgeous man who was not only older, but very good friends with your parents. If they ever found out…
On your way back, you also thought about how you’d break the news to Izzy, there was not a thing you kept from her. And if you didn’t, you were positive she’d find out somehow, she was quite shrewd about these things.
As uncertain as you were about it all, you couldn’t shake off the fact that you had slept with Tony Stark.
And it was fantastic.
Changing into comfortable clothes, you lay in bed, staring at the ceiling with a smile that refused to leave your face before deciding on pulling out your phone.
Cocky billionaires are still not my type, you know…
You texted Tony once you reached home, a big grin on your face, waiting for his response as the three dots appeared almost instantly on your screen.
Oh I know. Maybe I’ll change your mind. Actually I’m pretty sure of it.
