love thy neighbor
member — fwb! neighbor!joshua x f reader genre — smut, light angst, college au, idiots to lovers, happy ending word count — 5.1k synopsis — there's perks to having your fwb live next door to you, but there's also downsides. like the fact that it's really hard to hide that you're in love with him. warnings — descriptions of female anatomy, one mention of periods, masturbation (both reader & joshua), the smut is REALLY quick, premature ejaculation sort of, a little bit of body worship, nicknames (baby, good girl), not really described but implied creampie, they are idiots and they are in love and it's gross and sweet notes — tysm to @wongyuseokie & @onlymingyus for help choosing the banner <3 and thanks to @petrichor-han for this idea !! fun fact this was originally going to be for skz han but i figured it would also make a great shua fic so i chose him instead. fun fact #2 i am addicted to giving shua's fics religious titles even when there's no mention of religion in the fic at all lmao. it gives me a giggle like how could i not when it fits so well?? also this is one of my few attempts at angst so if you liked this please reblog or send and ask and lmk how you liked it! hope you enjoy!!
joshua should be asleep right now.
really, he should. it’s 11pm on a sunday night and he’s got his chemistry lab at 8am tomorrow, and he’s still got a couple of assignments that he really needs to catch up on before the final next week.
but then there's that bump against the wall that he’s grown so accustomed to, and his eyes fly open.
maybe becoming fuck buddies with your next-door neighbor isn't the smartest idea he's ever had, because this is the fourth time this week he's had to hear your moans as he tries to fall asleep.
the walls are thin, but he's certain that you must not realize just how thin they are, because he can hear every sound you make as clear as day. every whimper, every buzz of your vibrator, even every moan of his name, barely muffled by the wall separating his room from yours. especially every moan of his name. and it’s been driving him insane.
really, it’s his own fault for trying to be a polite neighbor. he almost wishes that he hadn’t run into you when you’d moved into the apartment next door at the beginning of the semester, because then he probably wouldn’t have recognized you at that party during homecoming weekend and got to talking with you.
and because of that he probably wouldn’t have taken you home from said party and given you the best dicking down of your life (your words, not his), and then after that you probably wouldn’t have decided that you wanted to keep fucking him and agreed to become friends with benefits.
except he doesn’t actually wish that at all.
having your situationship live right next door is pretty convenient, after all. you’ll shoot him an “omw” text and be waiting at his front door seconds later. he forgot to bring condoms? it’ll just take a sec to run home and grab some. when you accidentally leave your panties in his apartment, he can drop them off the same day and then forget about it (he definitely won’t).
he could probably even just bang on his side of the wall and you’d know to come over, but to him that’s a little too far, too impolite. he at least has the decency to send a text first.
a part of him wonders if that’s why you’re so noisy at night, if you’re doing it on purpose and knowing he’ll hear it, secretly hoping for him to come knocking at your door. but he doesn’t want to assume, doesn’t want to show up without asking and realize he’s been completely wrong this whole time and make himself look like a fool.
so he settles for earplugs instead. because there’s no way he can sit there and listen to the sounds you make and not start thinking about all the times he’s been in your bed with you just inches away. and by the time he’s cum all over his fist and he’s finally worn himself out enough to fall asleep, it’s 4am and he has class in the morning and he’s wasted an entire night yet again.
he’s been inside your apartment dozens of times, enough to know the layout by heart. enough to know that your bedroom sits directly next to his, enough to know that your bed is pushed against that very thin wall the same way his is and that your nightstand with the drawer full of toys is right next to the bed.
oh, he’s gotten to know more than just your apartment over the course of the semester. he knows which positions are your favorite (you’ve never told him outright, but you always cum harder when he fucks you in missionary). he knows the names you like to be called and the ones you like to call him. he can even tell which vibrator you’re using right now (the red one doesn’t buzz as loud, so you only use it when your favorite purple one is dead. tonight you’re using the purple one.)
but he’s also gotten to know the way you smile when you see a cat video, the way your forehead wrinkles when you talk about your calculus professor, and the way you like your pancakes in the morning (though he’s never been able to make them for you himself, he swears one day he will. one slice of butter, a ton of syrup, and a handful of cut up strawberries.)
so maybe that’s what makes these nights so unbearable. he can keep lying to himself that it doesn’t bother him, that it wouldn’t bother him as much as it does if he just… didn’t like you.
but, unfortunately, he does like you. and he’s stuck with this problem until he finds a way to fix it, but just like in the lab analyses he has to write every week, he’s got no ideas. so he’ll have to settle for fucking his hand and biting his pillow so you don’t get suspicious of the noises he’s making, and hope that his silly little crush goes away on its own.
after all, he isn’t anything to you. albeit a sexual one, he’s still just a friend. and he’s certain that’s all you want.
god, you wish that joshua could see you right now. you’re certain he’d love it.
earlier tonight you’d had to physically force yourself to turn your phone off so that you wouldn’t be tempted to text him to come over. you’d already texted him on monday night and thursday afternoon, and you’d knocked on his door on saturday at practically the crack of dawn because you’d woken up thinking about him.
were you embarrassed about it? absolutely, but that wasn’t enough to stop you. okay, maybe sometimes it was, because the girl who lived across the hall had caught you (on multiple occasions) sneaking out of joshua’s apartment twice in one day and you refused to meet him again for nearly a week after that.
but joshua didn’t seem one bit embarrassed by your arrangement. he always gave you a friendly smile and offered to walk you to your door afterwards, which you always declined, and he always made sure to say he looked forward to seeing you again. you even saw him wave at the nosy neighbor girl when he’d left your apartment once (which you only remembered because you’d spent the rest of the night in tears about it, but not that you were jealous about it or anything).
you felt bad enough meeting up with him so often, but you felt even worse that you didn’t even have a label to show for it. you knew it was probably exactly what he’d wanted out of this, just somebody to call for a quick fuck, but it made you mad. it was why you got so angry about the girl across the hall; because you knew everybody loved joshua, so of course he couldn’t love only you.
he was hot and he was in a frat and he probably had a hundred girls he could call if he wanted to. with how often you text him to fuck, plus the other people he’s probably seeing? he’s gotta be exhausted.
which is why most nights you opt for touching yourself instead. in the months since you first met joshua, your vibrators have been going through batteries a lot faster than usual, a fact you’re not exactly proud of but will own up to nonetheless.
it’s not your fault that the image of him leaning over you, his thin gold chain dangling in your face as he fucks you is burned into your head practically 24 hours of the day. or the fact that his voice plays on repeat in your brain, specifically that one time he called you “baby” and you came so hard you nearly passed out.
so really, it’s actually his fault that he’s constantly on your mind. his fault for being sexy… or your fault for falling for him?
either way, you find yourself yet again with your pussy stuffed full of your own fingers and your favorite purple vibrator on your clit (you remembered to charge it last night, after you came to the thought of joshua fucking you on your kitchen counter), wishing he could be there to see it.
you close your eyes and picture him in front of you, holding the vibrator against your clit as he grins down at you. such a good girl, he’d say, brushing his thumb over your nipple with his free hand. you love this, don’t you?
“fuck, yes, joshua,” you reply, gasping as you push your fingers deeper inside. you arch off the bed a little, pushing your head back against your pillow. you’ve learned that he loves it when you call him by his full name instead of “shua” or “josh”; you don’t know why, but it always seems to drive him crazy, and you never fail to leave his apartment sore in all the best places afterwards.
you spread your legs a little wider and moan, rolling your cheek to the side as you imagine him fucking you with his fingers instead of your own. i can tell you’re getting close, imaginary joshua says with a smirk, his hand cupped against your pussy as he thrusts his fingers in and out at a bruising pace.
“mhm,” you whimper, curling your fingers and trying to convince yourself that it feels as good as when he does it. “please, joshua—”
you turn your vibrator up to the highest setting, your hips canting into the air as you squeeze your eyes tighter shut. you can feel the waves beginning to wash over you and you repeat his name like a plea, chanting it over and over until you can’t form words anymore.
cum for me, baby, all over my fingers, he says, and your mouth falls open as you let go, your knee accidentally smacking against the wall as your legs shake with pleasure. you keep your vibrator held firmly against your clit until it sends you over the edge again, still riding the high of your first orgasm as you struggle to breathe through it. joshua loves to overstimulate you, until all you can do is weakly push at his hands and beg him to leave your exhausted cunt alone.
the post-orgasm clarity soon starts to hit and you’re left with the realization that you just got off from pretending your neighbor is just as in love with you as you are with him. absolutely pathetic.
but your eyes are starting to droop and you’re quickly finding that you’re too tired to stay awake to think about how much of a loser you are, so you tuck your favorite vibrator back into its spot in your drawer and put your pajamas back on and tuck yourself into bed, trying not to wish joshua was there beside you instead of infinitely far away on the other side of the wall.
when joshua wakes up the next morning, he half expects you to be waiting outside his door again.
of course anyone would be annoyed at being woken up by their neighbor before 7am, but then you’d sheepishly told him that you’d had the most insane wet dream about him and he’d been more than happy to let you come in and bounce yourself on his lap while he watched the early morning sunlight stream through his bedroom window onto your cheeks.
pretty much the perfect morning, in his eyes, except for the fact that you hadn’t slept in his bed with him. you never sleep over and it’s obvious why, but maybe it’s for good reason: he won’t get so attached to you.
unfortunately, though, this morning you aren’t waiting for him, so he trudges to his kitchen to make himself one lonely cup of coffee and one lonely stack of frozen waffles and get ready for his day.
he’s started noticing patterns about when and why you text him, and he finds himself checking his phone all day.
on mondays, because you have all your classes on those days and you’re already exhausted so why not get fucked within an inch of your life before you settle in for the night?
on thursdays, usually in the afternoons because both your schedules happen to line up where he’s just finished his work shift and you’re on your break between classes so it leaves the perfect amount of time for him to eat you out.
if you have a particularly hectic morning you’ll text him right away and ask him if he’d come over once you get home that night, and he’ll reply that he can’t wait with a big red heart emoji.
in fact, most of the times you want to see him is when you’re stressed or upset, which makes sense to him but at the same time makes him a little disappointed. he hopes that you’d want to see him on your happiest days, because any day he gets to see you is automatically his happiest day. but he supposes that’s where you’ve drawn the line, and he’ll have to be okay with that.
joshua’s restless through his chem lab this morning, and then his english lecture, and then his shift at work, not-so patiently awaiting you to ask him about his plans tonight.
but you don’t text him at all on monday, and you don’t text him on tuesday, either. he catches you going into your apartment at the same time he’s leaving on wednesday, and he waves as usual but you just give him a small nod and hurriedly close your door behind you. he’s almost positive you’ll text him on thursday, but your lunch hour comes and goes without a word.
he almost never texts you first, because you text him so often and most of the time he’s already thinking about you anyway. so when sunday rolls around again and he still hasn’t heard anything from you, he thinks maybe you’re waiting for him to say something first this time.
he knows you’ve been home, because he’s heard your friends coming and going. maybe you’ve just been busy with other things and didn’t mean to ghost him. sure, you get together pretty often, but that doesn’t mean it’ll happen every single week. plans change and that’s fine, and it is right before finals week after all.
but even when you’re on your period and aren’t in the mood to see him, you usually send a text as a heads up, and he’s definitely not keeping track or anything but this week shouldn’t be one of them. he’s going through every possibility he can think of as to why you’ve seemingly disappeared, but he just can’t find a reason why.
but then he realizes something else; he’s stopped hearing you at night, too. and then he really starts to worry, because he remembers how upset you looked when he saw you in the hall and maybe something really awful happened to you and he’s been pouting in his room like a selfish idiot this whole time.
so he pulls up your contact, cursor blinking over the text box as he tries to figure out what to say.
hey, he decides on, and he’s surprised but happy when you read the message right away.
he waits a moment, but you don’t respond, so he texts again. you can talk to me, you know? about other stuff. i’m your friend.
he shakes his head and deletes that last sentence before pressing send. you read it immediately again, but it’s a long and agonizing few minutes before you reply.
okay
he frowns, not knowing what to say back. did i do something and make you mad? you seem upset and i’m sorry.
it’s nothing. don’t worry
joshua wants to say, but i do worry, but he knows that might be too far and he’s still not even sure what’s wrong.
so instead he stands up and walks out his front door, leaving his phone on his bed. he may be an idiot, but the least he can do is try to act like your friend.
you don’t answer when he knocks, so he calls your name. “i know you’re home, i can hear you through the wall.”
finally the lock clicks, and you open your door just a crack. “what do you mean, you can hear through the wall?”
he pauses. “i can hear you… walking around, and stuff. making noise. the walls are thin.” so you really didn’t know? oh god, now he feels like an asshole for listening, even if he was trying not to.
“oh. well.” you sigh and close your eyes, inhaling. “that’s embarrassing.”
“can we talk?” joshua asks, suddenly feeling exposed. he’s plenty comfortable in large groups of people, but when he’s around you he wants to hold you tight and keep you secret and safe, out of sight of any wandering eyes. standing out in the hallway where anyone could hear is not how he’d like this to go.
“sure,” you mumble, swinging your door open for him to come inside.
you close the door but don’t move from behind it, standing like you’re waiting for him to say something. so he does.
“listen. i know whatever this is, is messy,” he starts, gesturing between the two of you. “but you’re my friend, and i care about you and i want you to be happy.” he sighs. “so please tell me what’s wrong, because not texting you has been really weird, and if you want to end this then that’s fine and i’ll leave you alone, but don’t just ghost me. we’re still neighbors and i’m not a fan of awkward hallway conversations.”
you crack a smile for a second, but it quickly fades. “do you want to end this?”
“no, not really. but i don’t want you to feel like you have to keep doing this if you don’t like it.”
“i thought it was pretty obvious i did like it,” you say with an almost laugh.
he stares at you quietly. “then what’s going on?”
“i want to keep doing this, but i just… i don’t think i can,” you say, avoiding his eyes. “at least not like this.”
“what do you mean, ‘like this’?”
“joshua, because i like you. and i feel awful because i know we’re not on the same page and it feels like i’m taking advantage of you because you probably have a dozen other women telling you the exact same thing and it’s probably exhausting and it’s not what you want!”
his face contorts in shock at your words. “well, first, that’s not at all true. and second of all, stop trying to guess what i want without just talking to me. what is it that you want?”
“you! i don’t know. i don’t know what i want anymore,” you say, covering your face with your hands.
joshua’s not sure if he should hug you or not, but he really, really wants to. “is that all that’s been bothering you this week?” he asks softly.
“yeah,” you say, moving your hands but still avoiding his eyes. “it’s stupid. i know, and i’m sorry.”
he laughs, and you look up at him like he’s crazy. “you don’t have anything to be sorry for,” he says. “i’m sorry. because for months i’ve been wishing we could change this but i never said anything because this is what i thought you wanted.”
you keep staring at him, but he can’t read the emotion on your face. “so… what is this, then?”
“i’ll be whatever you want me to be for you. your fuck buddy, or your friend, or your boyfriend, whatever.”
“you really don’t see other people?” you ask, still unsure.
now it’s joshua’s turn to look at you like you’re crazy. “no, why would i want to? i don’t care if you do, but with how often you text me it sounds like you don’t, either.”
“i just figured— nevermind,” you sigh.
“can i give you a hug?” he asks after a minute. “we’ve been sleeping together the whole semester, and i don’t think i’ve ever given you a real, proper hug.”
you smile, and seeing that instantly makes his day. “yes, please.”
his arms feel secure around you, and his chest is warm against your cheek. with a sigh you close your eyes, breathing in the smell of his cologne that you’ve been trying to push out of your brain for weeks.
you stand there for a while, neither of you making any moves to pull away. it's been a really, really long week without joshua and you didn’t realize how badly you missed him until this moment.
“so about the walls thing—”
“hm?” he mumbles.
“—you can really hear everything?”
he laughs. “oh, yeah. your bedroom is right next to mine. been having trouble sleeping for so long because i kept hearing you moan my name and it got me hard every time.”
your cheeks burn in embarrassment. “joshua, i’m so sorry! if i had known—”
he shakes his head, cutting you off. “you can make it up to me by telling me everything you were thinking about.”
“probably nothing you don't already know,” you grin shyly.
“probably, but i wanna hear you say it anyway.”
you lean away from him a little bit, releasing your arms from around him to rest against his chest. “i should've known this is why you wanted to come over,” you say, pretending to be mad, but you can already feel the tingling feeling building up in your stomach at the thought.
“it's not,” he replies smoothly, “but i did miss waking up to you knocking on my door.”
you pout. “that was only that one time!”
“doesn't mean it has to be the last.”
heat creeps up into your cheeks and you glance away from him, gaze trained on his shoulder.
“you really wanna know what i was thinking about?” you ask, finally building up the courage to look back up at his face.
“of course i do.” his eyes are sparkling as he watches you, and you can't exactly identify the emotion but you know it makes your heart flutter.
“well,” you start, “it was different every time, but most of the time it started like this.” you trail your hands down his torso, pausing when they reach his hips. he stays silent, eyes fixed on your movements and a little smile on his face that you don't think he even realizes he's doing.
“and then…” you look down, a little surprised to notice the bulge in his pants already there. you place your hand over him gently and look up, waiting for him to say something, but he doesn't stop you.
you clear your throat and start again. “and then, you'd sit on the couch and let me gag on your cock for a while.”
you start to push on his hips, backing him into your living room. he’s enjoying this way more than he should be, but then again, you basically just confessed your love to him so it’s kind of the best day of his life.
the back of his thighs hits the arm rest of your couch, but before you can move him any further his hands pull you flush against his body, his bulge pressing into your stomach.
“how about we skip that part for another day?” he says, his voice low. “tell me what happens after.”
you try your best to hold back a moan, suddenly losing your ability to speak. you can practically feel his cock throbbing through his clothes and it makes it impossible to come up with a coherent sentence.
“don’t get shy on me now, baby,” he hums, hands still firmly gripping your hips, and if your brain hadn’t short-circuited already then it definitely has now. “been hearing you in your room for weeks, i know how loud you like to be.”
“that’s not fair,” you finally manage, still trying to collect your thoughts.
joshua leans forward to kiss your neck, gently at first but quickly growing harsher, and you’re sure he can feel your pulse jump every time his teeth graze your skin.
“fuck, just like that,” you whimper, “exactly like that, shua—”
after a minute he hums and glances up at you through his lashes, clearly waiting for you to keep talking.
“we’d make out for a while, and then you—you’d fuck me on the floor,” you gasp out. joshua moans against your skin, and it’s only then that you realize your hands have found their way to his hair, tugging on it to urge him on.
your fingers loosen and he pulls away, the corners of his lips wet with saliva. “on the floor? you deserve better than that, baby,” he tsks. “can i take you to bed instead?”
“please,” you whine softly, suddenly feeling unbearably eager to fuck him. all week you’ve been using every last ounce of your energy to avoid thinking about joshua, but now that he’s here in front of you and way too willing to play into your fantasies, all the emotions you’ve been holding in are spilling out, and you don’t feel like containing them anymore.
you grab his hand and it’s like you can’t make it to your room fast enough, falling onto your bed and pulling him down on top of you. by then you’ve both forgotten the conversation you were having before because you’re too busy desperately pressing your lips against his, barely remembering to breathe as he kisses you and kisses you and kisses you and what were you even talking about again?
your brain is clouded when he finally pulls away with a gasp, kissing your cheek and your neck once more. his hands slip beneath your shirt and tug it over your head, making his way between your breasts and down your stomach and leaving more kisses as he goes. your skin burns with each touch, gentle lips and not-so-gentle hands covering every inch of you until you feel like your whole body is on fire.
he sits up just long enough to pull his own shirt off and now it’s your turn to touch, your hands instantly finding his chest as you trace your fingertips down his abs.
“how do you want me?” joshua groans, his hands joining yours at his hips to help him push his pants to the ground.
“fuck… missionary? just like this?” you say as you kick your pants and panties off in a rush, wrapping your legs around his waist.
his cock brushes against your stomach and you sigh out a moan, your hands moving up to grab at his biceps. he doesn’t say another word as he runs his tip through your folds, his attention fixated on your pussy and how you’re already dripping for him. for a second he forgets where he is and what he’s doing, so engrossed with the sight of you and how fucking glad he is that he didn’t lose you because you’re both idiots that assume too much about what the other wants instead of communicating your feelings like normal adults.
you let out a little noise and his eyes flick back up to your face, his gaze immediately softening at the blissful expression on your face. to think, he could’ve been seeing you like this the whole time if he had the balls to admit how he felt sooner. but there’s plenty of time for him to pout about it later because right now you need him, and he needs you, too, so why waste time thinking about that when he can think about how good you look taking his cock?
he leans down because he can’t resist kissing your beautiful face one more time, and finally he pushes into you, letting out a loud whine at the same time you moan his name. the sound of your voices joined together goes straight to his dick as he pulls almost all the way out, thrusting back into you with renewed energy.
“baby— fuck,” he groans, his grip on your body tightening as his thrusts begin to grow faster and rougher. “so good to me.”
you clench hard around him at the nickname, clinging onto him as you squeeze your eyes shut.
and then without warning everything hits you all at once, and you go boneless in his arms as he whimpers and groans and gasps and holds you tight and he probably told you he loves you about a million times as he was cumming too but you can’t hear anything as you lay exhausted on the bed, staring up at the ceiling with your ears ringing.
even with his shaking hands you can still feel the gentleness in joshua’s touch as you start to come back down, the warmth of his breath on your cheek as his fingers lightly brush your hair out of your face, feeling him twitch inside you before he slowly pulls out.
with his own orgasm following just barely after yours that was probably some kind of record for the fastest round ever, but you don’t even have the strength to care. so what if he usually fucks you for hours on end? all you care about is the fact that he’s tracing your collarbones with a fucked-out little smile on his face and it’s probably the cutest thing you’ve ever seen in your entire life.
with a soft grunt he stands up, and you call out his name with all the energy you have left.
“joshua?”
“mhm?”
“can you stay?” you ask, and somehow you both know you’re talking about more than just for the next few minutes.
he smiles. “wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else.” and when he comes back with a towel and a wet wipe and apologizes for how fast it all was and promises to give you more whenever you want because he’s officially yours now, you know he’s telling the truth.
even when he’s doing nothing at all, joshua never fails to make your head spin.
laying in the dark with you, his fingers absentmindedly twirling your hair as you snuggle into his chest, you can’t even begin to find the words to explain how good it feels knowing he loves you and you love him back.
but it doesn’t seem like he needs words right now. all he needs is you.

I tweaked it a bit, hope you don’t mindd : ) Really wanted to publish this before my birthday (which is tomorrow) as a little treat to myself and to you guys. I hope you enjoy!
Special Treatment?
Pairing: Poly!Marauders x Reader
CW: None that I could think of?? except for possible typos and grammatical errors. (1.3k words)
You often found asking yourself one-too-many-times if the boys’ affection to you were just purely platonic or romantic.
Maybe you were just being dramatic— giving meaning to meaningless stuff they do for you.
It's probably you, yeah. You and your delusional arse, really. Why would they want you in the mix when the three of them are already dating?
Although— you just can't help but feel special when Remus makes you his famous “Moony toast” as he likes to call it, or when Sirius calls you 'his doll' and slings his arm over your shoulder which results in your stomach doing flips, and let’s not forget how James would flash his mega-watt smile, setting your breakfast down and making sure you know that he's the one who cooked it for you.
With the help of Remus, of course— your flat would turn into ashes if you let James cook alone in the kitchen.
Being roommates with three dudes is certainly uncommon but fun. Telling people about it… well, makes them shoot you questioning looks or are concerned that you’re being held hostage by three big burly men.
You really weren’t sure how it happened— the four of you just fitted together seamlessly, similar to cogs of a well-oiled machine.
It began during the last three months of your 7th year in Hogwarts, you decided to start looking for flats to rent, preferably in close to London. You wanted to live where muggles are, having such keen interest about them and their daily lives, deciding to pursue a muggle career also helped you in your decision.
You tried searching if there's any available flats to rent and how much it’ll cost. However, seeing that you're a broke student, you really couldn't afford any sky-high prices for rent.
It seemed like all hope was lost until you asked one of your friends, Lily, if she knows anyone looking for a flat mate.
You were sure she was an angel sent here on Earth, after a few days she told you that Remus, James, and Sirius have no problems taking you in, seeing that you guys are housemates during their years in Hogwarts.
The rest was history.
They made sure you wouldn’t feel left out. It was how they looked out for you, the way they included you in every plan, every joke, every moment of their lives.
Although, as the days turn into weeks, and weeks into months you start to notice the little things they do.
"Hey doll, have any movies tickled your fancy yet?" Sirius asks, sneaking his arm around your waist, leaning close to your face.
"Erm, no not really... You guys could pick, I'd be fine with anything." You smiled at him, before fleeing to the kitchen to calm your racing heart.
"You're just friends with them, Y/n. I'm sure they do this with Lily and the others..." you let out a mumble, absentmindedly grabbing a glass of water before bumping into someone.
"Whoa, are you okay, darling?" Remus' worried voice pulled you out of your thoughts as he cupped your face before placing the back of his hand on your forehead.
"I'm alright!" You squeaked; Remus' doesn't really look to convinced. "Are you sure, darling? You look rather flushed... I told you to bring your jacket yesterday when you went out. You probably caught a cold." He frowned, you tried to protest but your attempt was futile as he shimmied off his cardigan and made you wear it. "I'll make you some lemon water, alright darling?" James called out from the living room, "We're starting the movie without you guys!"
Remus yelled out, boiling some warm water. "Hold your bloody horses, prongs! I'm making some lemon water." You heard a shuffling of feet nearing you, making you look up.
"Love, don't tell me you're sick." He frowns, and like what Remus did earlier, he placed the back of his hand on your forehead. "I'm not sick." You protested, but it all fell on deaf ears.
Next time you told them you went out, you were practically dressed for winter even though it's only spring.
Those little things made you honestly take a step back and re-asses your situation with them because for merlin's sake, why do they act like your boyfriends when you're just friends with them, right? You couldn't really open it up to Lily because you'd probably sound stupid if this was just normal for them.
Your mind ran with hundreds of what if's and the way Remus' eyes linger on you for a second too long, with an emotion you can't quite decipher doesn't help soothe the thoughts in your mind. The warmth of Sirius' touch, James and oh merlin, when the three of them kissed you on the cheeks during a movie night? You really couldn't live in denial anymore.
You're no detective but the signs are there, clear as day. There's a high chance they're not just being friendly—they care, deeply. And maybe, just maybe, you do too.
Having read enough romance novels, you quickly recognized the pattern, but this isn't fiction. This is real life, and these are your roommates—three guys who have somehow, inexplicably, fallen for the same person. You.
Sitting in loveseat while nursing a cup of tea, you couldn’t help but notice the way the morning light caught in Sirius’s hair, giving him a halo that seemed so at odds with his mischievous smirk. “Morning, doll,” he greeted, his voice a smooth baritone that sent shivers throughout your system. Does this man haven't ever heard of morning voice?
“Morning,” you replied, trying to keep your voice even. “Slept well?”
“Like a log,” he said, eyes softening before squeezing himself beside you. “Did you? You were up late reading with Moony.”
You nodded, the feeling the warmth within your chest surfacing because of the memory. Remus usually reads his novel alongside you, it's sort of yours and his thing. Although you sometimes found yourself getting distracted and instead of focusing on the book, you were drawn to the gentle timbre of his voice and the way his hand occasionally brushed yours as he pointed something out on the page he was reading.
And then there was James, who was currently flipping pancakes with a concentration that was both endearing and amusing. He caught your eye and grinned, the same smile that had greeted you every morning since you’d moved in. “These are going to be the best pancakes you’ve ever tasted,” he declared. “Guaranteed to improve your day by at least twenty percent.”
You laughed, the sound mingling with the sizzling of the batter. “I’ll hold you to that.”
A bedroom creaked open, and Remus shuffled out, rubbing sleep from his eyes. “Is that breakfast I smell?” he mumbled, heading to the kitchen "Yeah, go help prongsie, moons. It's a miracle he hasn't started a fire yet." Sirius teased, it made Remus more awake and practically ran to supervise James.
After a few moments, the four of you were digging into the half-burnt pancakes that James was proud of, a mishmash of pajamas and bed hair (except for Sirius), and yet it felt right. It felt like family. As you ate, you found yourself observing them, the way they interacted with each other, and with you. There was a harmony; a rhythm that you had become a part of without even realizing it.
It was in the little things: the way Remus passed you the syrup without you having to ask, or the sound of Sirius’ laughter seemed to wrap around you like a warm blanket. And James? Well, he was the glue that held it all together, his energy infectious and his presence a constant source of comfort for all of you.
You realized; it didn’t matter what other people thought. They don't see what you saw, feel what you've felt. They don’t understand that this was more than just a shared living space; it was a shared life. And maybe, just maybe, it was okay to give meaning to the ‘meaningless stuff’ because, to you, it meant everything.
And as you looked around at the three men who had become your world, you knew that this was normal. Your normal. And it was perfect.

DAY 66 of Love Is... On Tour
They make songs. Together.
After a show at Wells Fargo Center, Yoongi stayed locked in his hotel room to work on the music for your EP. He has read the lyrics you sent to him and listened to some melody ideas you recorded in your voice notes. In the last two days you two have been collaborating, you are full of visions and excited to tell him all of them. He finds it more surprising that you two haven't had any fights since then.
Is it New Years yet? I'm getting bored, so can we skip ahead? I just wanna forget That I'm at home with nobody to hold
So far, you already recorded two out of the six songs you planned to release in the EP. Usually, Yoongi takes his time in making and editing songs. But considering that this is a holiday EP and you have less than a week before the management's deadline, he works on it at every chance he gets. It's not that hard when you already have a clear vision of what and how you want the extended play to be.
Working is a great distraction compared to scrolling on his phone, which did no good for him. Mainly because he recently saw a post from a mutual friend of his and his ex. That's when he learned that Sara threw a baby shower in what was supposedly their house. He felt something cracked in him when he saw how far along her pregnancy was.
Tempted, Yoongi scrolled through the carousel of photos, admiring the decorations and colors of the house Sara probably picked herself, things that Yoongi had never seen personally. A single photo made Yoongi pause.
It shows Sara and her then-ex-boyfriend holding her growing bump, also showcasing a ring on her finger— not the emerald-cut diamond one he proposed to her. A new one, signaling that she is engaged for a second time this year. That photo was enough for Yoongi to turn it off and focus on his music.
Ding-dong.
Yoongi's head snapped, irritated when the unexpected doorbell noise filled his room. Frowning, he gets up from his chair to check who the person might be.
It's you.
Looking like a curious puppy, you stood before Yoongi's door with two cups of warm drinks you asked Cal to buy on the way back to the hotel. Yoongi looked at you through the small peephole, taking notice of your large, thick white cable knit sweater that falls just a few inches above your knees and the mystery cups you're holding. He opened the door when you began rolling your eyes and tapping your foot.
"What took you so long?!" you instantly asked the moment you saw him, handing him the other cup.
He snickered, ignoring your attitude. He takes the cup before pushing the door wider to let you in. Yoongi followed behind you when you walked inside. He sits back on his chair, in front of his small set-up, while you sit at the edge of his bed. Usually, you will take the couch. But the bed is nearer his working setup.
This is how you two have worked since you started. You only get up when you want to see his screen or when recording something.
"What are you doing here?" he asked since you just finished your show earlier. He figured you might prefer to rest and just work early tomorrow.
"I have an EP to work on, duh!" you replied, taking a sip from your hot chocolate as you tapped on your phone. "Anyway, lemme show you something..."
Probably a new idea. Yoongi thought. He knew it from the moment he saw you opened your phone's notes app.
"Here." You handed him your phone, letting him read something you wrote earlier today.
Maybe he met you somewhere in the desert While he was soul searching, he found someone better Guess you make him happy like I couldn't do Cindy Lou Who
Yoongi reads down the words, "It's a sad song?"
"Yep," you nodded. "Have you heard the song, What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas?"
Yoongi was quick to shake his head. He is not really fond of Christmas songs and doesn't listen to them if not needed. But he could tell by the title that it's probably a sad song too.
You pulled up your legs on his bed, making yourself comfortable, "It's a great song from the 70s. It has a lot of covers too. It's a sad Christmas song and I am so into it that I thought of writing one too."
Yoongi nods, listening, as he scans the rest of your lyrics, "Hmm..."
"What?" you quickly responded to his humming.
With how his eyes squint and his lips form a thin line, you know that he has something to say about your work. You learned after your first night of working together, making you realize that he has the same habit when you rehearse for a show.
"It's great, but I feel like we should just change some irrelevant lines? Like, maybe he met you somewhere in the desert." he read one of the lines. "What does desert get to do with Christmas?"
When he was met with a long silence, Yoongi looked up to you. But he find you just looking at him, chewing on your bottom lip. You looked away before letting out a heavy sigh.
"I found out my ex was cheating on me when paparazzi caught pictures of him and that actress kissing in Coachella." you explained.
"Oh..."
An apologetic look was instantly written all over his face, which is something you haven't expected. You thought he would keep the blank expression he always has. But his eyes and slightly gaped mouth said otherwise. You hate pity or anything like that, especially when it comes from someone who once read you too well. So, you grinned, even though it was forced so much that it almost made your cheeks hurt.
"Want to see the pictures? It's literally everywhere." you joked to change the mood. His eyes widened like he thought you were serious. So you chuckled, "I'm kidding! I won't show you that myself. You can just search it up if you want to."
"I'm not interested. No one really enjoys seeing a picture of their ex," he mumbled, returning your phone to you.
Your eyebrows crooked together when you heard that. He sounded too serious like he was the one in your shoes. You watch him sulk back to his seat, turning his back to work on one of your songs.
"You're acting like you were the one who got cheated on here. You're literally engaged to someone." you quipped.
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."
He whispered mindlessly. Yoongi didn't really think about it and let it slip out of his tongue. He doesn't really like bringing up his personal dramas in his workplace. He never would have realized what he said if you didn't ask him,
"What do you mean by that?"
Yoongi turned around, meeting your eyes, "So, how do you like that song to turn out?"
You're not dumb. Of course, you noticed him dodging your curiosities. He has never shared anything about himself since you two worked together. It's not like I care, you thought. But you know that there is a small itch at the back of your head, trying to get him to talk more. And maybe you know a trick to satisfy that itch.
"Let's order some wine first."
"With your hair so long, lips so bed— wait, that's wrong!"
A bottle of red wine is carelessly placed on the perfectly white duvet of Yoongi's bed. Surprisingly, it is still safe from any stain. The nearly finished cup of now-cold chocolate drink you brought is on the nightstand. You were giggling in front of the microphone and pop filter after making another mistake.
"The words are scrambled." you continued giggling before drinking from the glass of wine you were holding.
It has been almost two hours since you got in his room and Yoongi knows that the effect of your wine is getting into you. Earlier, before you could finish your first glass, you two already agreed on the instrumentals of the song you called cindy lou who. You let Yoongi make some changes in your lyrics, but it's nothing major.
"Something that feels delicate and maybe some piano." You described your idea before humming the tune you were thinking of.
By the second glass of wine, you are recording a rough draft of the song. So that you know if your ideas work well. Yoongi suggested to layer your vocals in some parts while you thought of adding a subtle harmony. Surprisingly, you two worked smoothly.
"Should we add some harp? Noah would have liked that."
You were almost done with your third glass of wine when Yoongi heard you mention your ex's name for the first time.
"Maybe we should stop drinking..." he said.
Even though he's in his fourth glass as well, Yoongi is doing better than you. You looked at him while he clicked something on his setup. You wondered if he could feel the cozy, warm feeling you've been feeling from the wine. Because that plain expression cannot really tell you anything, which makes you feel a little frustrated with how you're the only one who seemed to be a little giggly.
"Fine." you rolled your eyes, letting him take your glass from you.
He got up to get something in his room's mini fridge before going back to you, "Water?"
"It's cold," you replied before you could even touch the bottle.
"Okay, diva."
Your eyebrows raised with that, "No! I mean I cannot drink cold water when I'm singing or recording. It's not good for my throat... I'm fine, anyway. Thanks."
"I thought it would help you sober up," he explained, leaning to his chair.
"I'm sober!" you exclaimed defensively. Just a little fuzzy. But you won't admit that to him.
His lips formed into a smug smile, like he was saying, yeah sure. You puffed before fixing your headphones and crossing your arms over your chest. You looked annoyed. Yoongi knows because your nostrils are flared while there's a small pout on your lips. He bites off his inner cheek to stop himself from smiling.
"Should we record again?" he asked.
Still a little annoyed, you didn't say anything and just nodded your head. The instrumental began playing in your headphones seconds later.
‘Tis the season to be jolly But how can I be when I have nobody
The same song plays on your phone while you tap your fingertips in tune with the sleighbells playing in its instrumental. After finishing recording the song, you stay to see how it will turn out. Yoongi didn't seem to mind even though it was already past midnight.
"Do you want to hear the song I mentioned?" you asked him while he worked on the song.
Busy, he answered with a short sure. So, you played the song in a non-distracting volume, reached for the glass of wine you abandoned, and sat on his bed. You were quiet, sometimes humming to the song, but mostly staring at the view outside.
A silent night I know it's gonna be Joy to the world But it's gonna be sad for me
As the snow falls outside, you think of how this is so not how you expected your December is gonna be this year. With Noah being your original bassist, you thought you two would get to enjoy the snow in various cities you're touring in. And maybe even spend Christmas together during your break. But instead, you are now in your new bassist's, with whom you have dumb fights most of the time, hotel room, making holiday songs.
How surprising is that? You thought to yourself before taking one gulf of your wine.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when Yoongi slightly groaned as he stretched his limbs from his chair. You paused the song and collected the wine bottle and your glass like you were ready to go.
"Are you kicking me out yet?" you asked.
He turned around, just to you about to get up from the bed, "What?"
"Maybe my presence distracts you." you joked, which sounds nicer than maybe you don't want me here in your room anymore because you don't like having me here.
He chuckled, a little tired, "No, it's okay. I know you're waiting for the finished version."
"Good. Because I really like your room. You have a great view of the city. The snow looks perfect here." you rambled.
Yoongi looked outside, seeing the wonderful view you were talking about. He wordlessly agrees before getting back to his screen. Watching him, you mumbled.
"If you're tired, we can just finish that tomorrow."
Just like you, the guy also performed hours ago. You two don't along at most times, but you are not that petty to make him overwork.
"No, I'm fine," he shakes his head. "I'll finish this in an hour, just wait there."
"Okay," you put down the bottle on the nightstand.
Yoongi heard the music play again while he edited the song. Eager to finish it tonight, he continued working for what seemed like a few minutes for him. He made sure to add your suggestions and put some elements he thinks would be perfect. After listening to his finished product through his headphones one more time, Yoongi put on a satisfied smile.
"And it's do—"
Yoongi's smile fell when he found you asleep on his bed with the empty wine glass in your hand. It was already 1:24 AM, and he looked at the time. Seeing how peaceful you are in your sleep, he would hate waking you up. Instead, Yoongi got up cleaned up his nightstand, and carefully took your glass. He tried not to chuckle loudly when he heard your small snores. After gently putting the duvet on you, Yoongi took one of the pillows and threw it on the couch that he would take over tonight. He knows it would be awkward to take up the big, empty space next to you.
Dimming down the lights, Yoongi tried to find a comfortable position on the couch. And when he did, he finally closed his eyes and let himself fall asleep.
If it weren't for the buzzing noise next to you, you would have seen where your celebrity crush ended up taking you for a date in your dreams. Groaning, you reached for your phone beside you. Seeing Cal calling, you begrudgingly answered the call.
"Hey, Cal." your voice sounded weak as you just woke up.
"Where the hell are you, YN?! I've been ringing your room. You have a virtual interview at 9."
Your eyebrows furrowed while slowly sitting up, "What do you mean? I'm in my room— Oh, no. Fuck."
The first thing you see when you sit up is Yoongi's compact studio setup, which you don't remember being in your room. You looked around and it just confirmed that you are not in your hotel room. Yoongi is nowhere to be found, you don't hear any noise from the bathroom either.
"Y/N?" Cal spoke again, worried by your sudden pause.
"I-I'm in Yoongi's room." you stuttered, trying to remember your last memory. You were relieved to find yourself still in the same clothes you went with last night.
You heard a gasp from the other line, "Oh my god, YN! Did you hooked—"
"No, no, no! Still in my clothes. Just fell asleep making songs." you babbled, cutting her suspicions off. "Where the fuck is that sock?!"
Is it a talent to lose a fucking sock while asleep? Because if it is, you just added a new title under your name. You were in a hurry, shuffling the bed for that one sock with heart patterns. Cal can only imagine what you look like right now.
"Here!" you exclaimed, immediately putting it on. You rushed to the door after. "I'm going there right— Yoongi!"
Yoongi was right before you. He shared the same shock as you except he was calmer with his eyebrows raised and eyes widened.
"I have to go for an interview. Cal's gonna rip my head off. I'll check the song later. Thank you for letting me stay!"
You were so in a hurry that you were literally spewing words and didn't realize that you leaned to give a quick kiss on his cheek. It registered as you were moving back, making you two stop for a moment, looking at each other in surprise. He gulped, feeling his throat running dry. while you feel every blood run to your cheeks now, feeling warm.
You blinked, "I-I'm gonna go."
Yoongi watched you run to the elevator before looking at the two cups of coffee he was holding.

Up Late
@megamindsecretlair told me to get in the booth so I had to oblige immediately. This is toxic baby daddy!Terry which is her character so all credit to her! I don’t write him as well as her but nevertheless I hope y’all enjoy, please let me know what you think 🩷!
—
“Mommy, will we have school tomorrow?” Your oldest baby Noah asks as he sat next to his sister Nyla, watching the blue strip of school closings roll across the bottom of the local news. You glance out the kitchen window to see a flurry of snowflakes falling to the icy ground. “Probably not baby” You answer, stirring the pot on spaghetti you were making.
Their already happy cheers only intensified when Terry strolled through the door like he owned it. “Daddy!” You daughter shot off the couch and into his outstretched arms, his fingers dancing around her tummy to tickle her. Your son followed suit and tackled his legs, wrapping his little arms around them and squeezing. You sighed as you cut the heat on the stove and turned around to watch them.
You could say many bad things about Terry but he is a great father to your babies, despite the state of your relationship.
“What your mama up in here cooking?” He asked them, carrying both of them in his arms. “‘Ghetti” Nyla responded as she pointed to the steaming pot. Terry leaned down to put them on the floor, guiding them down the hall to the bathroom so they can wash their hands to eat. You stood with your arms crossed as you watched him turn and walk to you, his lips contorted in a stupid grin.
“How can I help you Terry?” You questioned with your hand out to stop him from coming closer to you. “Don’t be like that girl, I just wanted to see my favorite people” He said, grabbing you hand to pull you into a hug. The two of you gently rocked side to side in your embrace. His hand was firm on your side so you wouldn’t bump into the hot stove. “I’m assuming you’re staying to eat” You spoke against his chest as he refused to let you go.
“You know it” He confirmed.
—
“Can you stay the night dad?” Noah asked Terry while handing him his plate to be washed. “Mhm, that snow is piling up out there” He nodded, scrubbing the dishes with hot soapy water sending a stream of bubbles down the drain. Noah ran out of the kitchen into the living room to power up his game system, under the impression that him and Terry were going to play all night long. “No sir, turn it back off” You came up behind him holding and few sheets and blankets. “You’re still going to bed on time” You reminded your son, turning around to plop the pile of fabric on the couch so you wouldn’t see him pouting.
With Terry cleaning the kitchen you had more time to get your kids wound down and in the bed, starting with bath time. “All my children please report to the bathroom” You announced, Nyla going first so she could pick out her bubbles. “Mommy I want to stay up with daddy” Your son whined, going to stand beside Terry. “Son, I want a million dollars but we can’t always have what we want” You retorted, crossing your arms as you both stared at each other. “It’s all good Noah. I’ll be here tomorrow and we can play” Terry put his hand on Noah’s back and nudged him towards you.
“Okay” He mumbled, dragging his feet to the bathroom. “You’re welcome” Terry mouthed to you making your middle finger go up in his direction.
—
Now that your babies were clean and in bed you could start relaxing. Foaming white bubble slid down your arms as you washed your face. Your eyes were closed as you scrubbed your skin, bending down to rinse with warm water. When you opened your eyes again Terry was standing behind you.
“What the fuck is wrong with you” You groaned with wide eyes, heart pounding from the scare he gave you. “I can’t watch you?” He asked coming closer to wrap his arms around your waist. “No you can’t” You rolled your eyes as you reached for your moisturizer. “I’m not sleeping on the couch. I put the sheets back in the closet for you” He said as if he did you a grand favor. “Whatever Terry” You brushed him off before turning off the light and exiting the bathroom, leaving him in the dark.
Your back sighed in relief as you layed down, your blankets wrapping you in warmth. “Leave me alone Terry” You grumbled, so close to falling asleep. He was trying to slide his hands up your shirt, body pressed against yours. “Come on girl, you know you miss me. When you letting me come back? I know you miss us all being together” He spoke in your ear, lips ghosting over you. It was the same song and dance you always went through. You groaned as you scooted away from him and his touch, hating the way you craved it.
He reached for you again only to be met with a soft pillow. His face scrunched up once he realized what you did, grabbing and tossing the pillow off the bed. “Ain’t no pillow stopping me from getting to you” Terry said, leaning up on his elbows to eye you in the dark. “Go to bed” You reached behind you to swat at him like a ringing alarm clock. You snuggled into you new position and breathed deeply, letting sleep overtake you.
—
The feeling of your nightgown being lifted and bunched around your waist sent goosebumps rippling against your skin. Without the material you were was exposed to the cool night air. Terry quickly warmed you up though, his hand rubbing soothing circles on your skin. Your lashes fluttered against your cheeks as your eyes opened.
4:03 am
“Moveee” You plucked his hand off you and felt around for the covers, wanting to fall back asleep and not in his trap. “Just let me help you. I know you stressed. I seen you walking around all tense and shit. That’s why you need me here, to help you” Terry spoke in your ear. His soft lips brushed against your lobe and you couldn’t stop the whimper from tumbling out of your sleep-swollen lips.
“I’m fine” You responded as firmly as you could, already crumbling under the pressure of his fingers on your clit.
How long has it been? Weeks? Months?
He circled the fat bundle of nerves with even pressure, the gentle squelching sound of your wetness echoing after each movement. You scooted back against him to feel his bulge between your cheeks. “Just say you need it, you know I’ll do it for you” His fingers dipped in between your folds, pushing through your stickiness to tease your throbbing hole. You clenched around nothing, almost as if you were inviting him back inside. Terry smiled at this.
“See, my pussy missed me” He punctuated his sentence by sliding one thick finger inside you. You bit your lip to muffle your sigh, walls squeezing tight around him. After a few shallow pumps he removed his finger only to put it in his mouth, your taste seeping into his tongue. He reached down to free himself from his boxers, fat tip bubbling over with precum. He jerked it a few times, going to hold your leg your leg up so he could have easier access to you.
The length of him slid in between your folds a few times, his tip nudging your clit with each upwards movement. Webs of your combined juices connected the two of you as he tapped your pussy a few times, the heavy head of his dick bouncing off your clit. This had you squealing. The pressure was just too much for you.
“It’s ok baby, just let me in” Both his words and tone were gentle as he eased himself in inch by inch, hips flush against your ass. Your hole welcomed him into your warmth, clenching and dripping. “Aww look at you. You always ready for me huh?” His pace was slow and deep, leaking tip hitting your spot with expert precision. “Yes yes yes” You moaned, pillowcase bitten in between your teeth.
“Tell me you love me” Terry instructed as his hips sped up. Your words lived and died in your throat as your body and mind drowned in pleasure. You shook you head no and Terry wasn’t pleased. Your neck was soon wrapped with his hand, arm pulling you back to look at him the best you could in the dark. “Tell me” He repeated.
This new angle had him reaching deeper than before, your hand reaching back to plant itself on his leg. He still continued despite your hand in his way, bullying himself into his your pussy. Your stomach started to flutter as your orgasm built up. Your hips began to move on their own accord, fucking back on him as you chased your high. “There she go, greedy lil pussy. I’m not fucking you good enough?” He asked. “I, ouu fuck, I love you Terry. I promise” The words tumbled out of you in a string of slurred moans, your promise tapering off into a squeal.
His hand that was on your throat snapped over your lips, the drool leaking from the corner of your mouth covering his palm. “Don’t wake up my kids” He grunted in your ear. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as you came, your muffled moans vibrating his hand.
The feeling of Terry coming inside you made your head spin as your walls were painted milky white. He looked down at where you two connected, a frothy ring of cream surrounding his base glinting in the moonlight.

The winter was supposed to be over; snow turned to slush as the sun did everything it could to melt it all. But night came with freezing temperatures, turning slush into ice underlayers for the new snow to pile on top of. At the start of the winter, it was soft and powdery, but as the season matured, it became thicker, denser, piling into nigh impenetrable snow mounds and filling up every driveway and street until plows came to get rid of it all. They weren’t always successful, so UA elected to cancel classes for the week, deciding it would be better to allow the students a break, both for morale and to prevent any issues from the snow.
Back at the dorms after extra training, you shook ice and snow off your clothes as you left your shoes by the door. Changing clothes was your first task, replacing a sweaty gym uniform with a clean shirt and plaid pajama pants. Even with the cold outside, the dorms stayed warm and the heating system worked overtime to combat the falling temperatures as night came.
Now, you join your classmates in the common area, tuning in to whatever movie they were watching after squishing yourself onto the couch among Mina, Tsu, Jiro, and Hagakure, at Mina’s invitation, trying not to bump Denki, who sits on the arm of the couch right beside you. The others are scattered on the floor beside the couch, engrossed in the action movie on the screen.
A hand bumps your foot as you try to get comfortable. “Oh, sorry.” You look down to see Todoroki sitting below you, back up against the arm of the couch, his arm grazing your leg. He doesn't look at you, so you stay quiet, ignoring how hot your face gets.
You’re the first to admit the movie’s pretty lame, bad CGI paired with a weak plot, but to you, getting to spend time with your classmates is more important than the movie. Everyone else seems to enjoy it, even with Denki’s stage-whispers of, “What just happened?” and, “Who is that guy again?” that somehow make the movie more entertaining.
Snow falls in thick, wet flakes outside the windows, piling onto the small ledges until everything is covered in white as far as the eye could see. You glance again, but you can’t see anything through the flurries whipping around in turbulent circles just outside the building. The lights in the common area flicker a few times, earning a few groans from the others as the movie flickers along with them.
The movie wraps itself up, a satisfying enough ending even for an unsatisfying movie. Mina shuts off the TV, leaving the couch to stretch. “Well, guys, I’m beat! I’m outta here,” she says, wandering down the hall to her room. “Night, everyone!” Most of the others follow her, yawning as they say their goodnights and leave to their rooms.
You and Todoroki are the only ones left, you still on the couch, and him standing about a foot away, stretching with a sigh. His plain black shirt rides up as his arms reach above his head, exposing the waistband of his own pajama pants just below his toned stomach. You’re thankful he stays turned away, embarrassed by your own inability to keep your eyes to yourself. His training has done him justice, He checks his phone and puts it back into his pocket. “I’m heading out, too. See you tomorrow,” he says, always polite.
You yawn in response. “Probably smart. I’ll see you in the morning. Night, Todoroki.”
“Goodnight.” He disappears down the hallway, leaving you to your own devices, alone in the common area.
Your face is hot, even now that he’s gone. Most of the girls in class 1-A agree Todoroki holds the spot for the most attractive boy in the class, and his polite yet relatively aloof demeanor keeps him there. It isn’t like you aren’t friends, so conversation between you isn’t out of the ordinary or shocking, but it still makes you nervous to talk to him. And it especially makes you nervous to be alone with him.
Heaving a sigh, you take the elevator to your room. It’s not very productive to stay awake just thinking about a classmate, so you decide to do some reading, taking a seat on your bed, grabbing your blanket and draping it over yourself.
A low hum echoes through your room as the lights flicker before cutting out completely, leaving the room in pitch black darkness, save for the faint moonlight coming through your small window.
Oh, shit. That’s not good.
You scramble for your bookmark and set your book down, still wrapped in your blanket as you chew on your bottom lip, trying to decide what to do. You continue to wait for the power to turn back on, eventually pulling out your phone to pass the time.
But as the minutes tick by, it’s impossible to ignore the chill in the air. The heat turned off, judging by the silence, and left the dorms with no source of warmth to protect against the bleak weather. That’s really not good.
With no signs of the power returning, you groan, pulling the blanket tighter around your shoulders. What should you do? You can practically see the frostbite forming on your skin as the cold makes its way through your thin blanket. It’s too bad Denki already went to bed a while ago, so you doubt he’s still awake to restart the power.
The dark doesn’t help, and you’re frighteningly alone in your quiet dorm. You turn on your phone flashlight, but you know the weak battery won’t be enough for even another hour. You wish you brought something battery powered to light your room, but you didn’t think that far ahead.
You shut your door tightly behind you as you tiptoe down the hall to the stairs beside the elevator. Hardly anyone ever uses them, but there’s a first time for everything, you suppose. The icy tiles freeze your slippered feet as you walk. Crisp air burns your nostrils as you grip the railing, fingers turning white as the frozen metal draws heat from your skin. The flight of stairs to the fifth floor is much more tedious in the dark, your phone flashlight illuminating every step up.
Reaching your destination, you knock gently on the door, hoping your target isn’t asleep.
No response. You turn to leave, but to your surprise, the door opens, revealing Todoroki. Behind him, soft orange light flickers onto the walls. “Yes?” he says.
“I, uh- was just wondering if you had a candle you could spare me? Because the power, y’know… Well, I figured if anyone would have one, it would be you!” The chattering of your teeth apparently makes you talk a lot, and you have to clamp a frozen hand over your mouth to get words to stop falling from your lips.
He shakes his head, much to your dismay. “No, I’ve only got one, and I’m using it.”
A shiver runs down your spine in the cold hallway. “Oh, that’s okay! Sorry to bother you!” You move to leave, but a warm hand on your shoulder stops you.
“If you want, you could stay here,” he says. “I don’t have any idea how long we’ll be without heat. Or lights. And, I think we’re the only ones still awake.” He steps back into his room.
Your eyes widen, but you go in regardless, feet padding on the tatami mats. It’s still chilly in here, much like your dorm. You’re grateful, however, for the light from the candle and also for his hospitality. He motions to the bed in the corner, gesturing for you to sit. “Thanks, I really didn’t want to just hang out by myself all night,” you say, perching gently at the foot of his bed. “It’s scary with no light.”
“No plans on sleeping?”
You breathe a laugh, fiddling with the hem of your plain shirt, though your fingers are sluggish. “Can’t really sleep when blankets won’t do much for an eternal cold.”
He sits down on the bed too, but cross-legged at the other end from you. If you weren't so tense, you might have laughed at his respectful nature. Nodding in understanding, he says, “Ah. I guess it is quite cold.”
It makes sense he didn’t notice. “What about you, Todoroki?” you say. “Burning the midnight oil?”
It’s hard for either of you to ignore the chills that wrack your body, even as you try to stabilize yourself. His eyes widen momentarily, and he stares at you, head tilted. To deny that his room is becoming colder would be impossible for you. It’s like someone opened a window to let more air in, because there’s no way the rooms should lose heat this quickly. You rub your arms, trying to bring any amount of blood flow back. And not to mention the flutter in your stomach at the fact that you are sitting on Todoroki’s bed, at night, alone, something that your female classmates would squeal at.
He seems largely unaffected by the temperature and you being here, but that look on his face remains. Why is he looking at you like that? But he still doesn’t respond to your question, leaving you to clear your throat and try to avoid his gaze. “Are you okay? Is it too cold in here?” he says.
Your head snaps up before you shake it vehemently, waving your hands in the air in front of you. “No! No, I’m fine! R-really, don’t worry about me.” Your feeble attempt to reassure him is admirable, but he’s not convinced.
“Come here,” he says.
You laugh awkwardly, your breath forming a cloud of condensation in front of you. “W- um, what?” You stumble over your words, and you pray he thinks it’s just the cold.
“You’re losing a lot of body heat, and even without light I can see your lips are turning blue. So, come here.” He holds his hands out to you and stretches his legs, staring at you expectantly.
All the remaining heat in your body goes to your cheeks.
Every thought in your head runs rampant as your stiff body crawls over to Todoroki. His hands meet your shoulders, pulling you between his knees with your legs slung over his right thigh. Your side presses into the left side of his chest and his arms wrap around you.
His heat pervades your body, and you shiver in his grasp. Jesus, he’s so warm. Even in the dead of winter, he’s burning hot like sand on a beach in summer, and you couldn’t be more grateful.
“Is this better?” he asks, breaking the silence. Probably an obvious question, but you’re sure his polite nature made him ask anyway.
You nod, swallowing hard. “Yes. Thank you.” Your body warms up, heat blossoming beneath your skin where his body meets yours.
But, as you bring yourself to look up at him and your eyes meet, you’re acutely aware of his hands on your waist, and the way the light from the solitary candle dances on his face, illuminating the jagged, reddish-brown scar that expands over the left side of his face. And his smell — warm and intoxicating, it infiltrates your brain until it short-circuits. Becoming bold with your newfound warmth, you reach a hand up to touch him, but something flashes in his eyes and his hand grips your wrist in an instant, pulling your hand away and making you gasp softly.
His eyes widen and he releases you. “I’m- I’m sorry…” he murmurs.
Hesitant fingers reach again, and this time, your hand connects with his face. His breath hitches reflexively and his eyes dart away from yours in shame. You swear you’ve never seen him like this, so unguarded. You run your fingers over the edge of his scar, where smooth skin meets raised. It’s mesmerizing you think, the way the discoloration feathers out, harsh and delicate edges alike making up the left side of his face. Your palm moves to his cheek and his gaze meets yours again.
The sight is like a punch to the stomach, leaving you breathless as he stares into you, your hand on his face. One brown eye, dark like freshly-brewed black coffee, warm and inviting. The other, blue and glacial, like a cold winter’s night, much like this one. The dichotomy was almost laughable as his blue eye was more akin to night and the other, like day.
Your other hand meets his face and you bring him closer to you. Inches apart, your eyes flitter around his face. Your fingertips slide into his silken hair, making his grip on your waist tighten, palms sweating over your shirt.
“You’re beautiful, Shōto,” you say, and that’s all it takes.
His lips meet yours, unexpectedly gentle, and you can’t help but sigh. Your lids flutter closed and you’re ascending, heart beating out of your chest as you’re convinced heaven is real. Tangling your fingers into his hair, he groans into you and his hands leave your waist for the first time in a long time. You try to keep track of them, but they’re all over you, leaving trails of fire in their wake. No inch of your skin goes untouched, he makes sure of that.
Oh, god. This can’t be real. You can’t help but think of what your classmates would say if they knew you were here tonight. But, on the other hand, what they don’t know can’t hurt them, right?
It’s like he’s a different person, his usual detached persona gone in favor of a gentle, kind boy. He’s careful with you, hands never straying too far downwards as if he’s afraid you’ll brave the frigid halls just to get away. You wish you could tell him you wouldn’t leave, that you won’t, but your desire to keep his lips on yours is all-consuming. He’s addicting, and you can’t seem to get enough. His scent, his taste, everything about him is addling your brain, your only thoughts of this moment, right now.
You move so you’re facing him, kneeling between his legs, no longer in need of the warmth he so graciously gave you. His fingers grab at the hem of your shirt, snaking underneath it to feel your bare stomach, lingering on your hips. You whimper softly into him, and you move to take your shirt off.
Lips leave yours. “Stop,” Todoroki says, and your eyes snap open.
“What’s wrong?” you say, wiping drool off your lips. Did you do something? Did you misread him? Oh, god…
Hands on your shoulders, he sighs. “I don’t want you to think this was my intention.”
You tilt your head at him. “You mean you didn’t… want to kiss me?”
He shakes his head. “No, it’s not that. I… I just feel like I’m taking advantage of you. You didn’t come here for this. I was only supposed to keep you from freezing to death and now-”
“Stop it,” you say, your arms wrapping around the back of his neck. “I don’t think that about you. I came here for a reason, yeah, but… you are keeping me from freezing. But, if you want to stop, we can.”
“I don’t want to.”
At this moment, you knew you were going to have a lot to explain in the morning.

Baby, It's Cold Outside
See Me Through You Blurb
Synopsis: Joe confesses his concerns to you about playing in cold weather coming back from his wrist injury
Pairing: Husband!Joe Burrow x Wife!Reader
Please Do Not Repost My Content Anywhere
Balancing your plate of snacks along with your drink was successful as you had finally reached the top step on the staircase before making your way back into your bedroom where you figured that your husband would be sleeping seeing as it was the night before game day.
The door was open just as you had left it, but what you didn't expect was to see Joe laying down, but wide awake staring off into space.
Getting comfortable on your side of the bed, you set your drink down on the dresser as you successfully balanced the plate on your small baby bump which you were very proud of.
“Oh! Babe! Look! I can put the plate on my bump now! It's big enough.” You excitedly told him as he turned around to face you.
Seeing it, he quietly laughed to himself before stealing a fruit snack from the plate.
“You okay? It's eleven, you should have been sleep two hours ago.” You asked him and he took a deep sigh before answering you.
“It's cold outside.”
“Yes, baby. I know, It's November. What? You want extra cuddles?” You said while laughing.
“I'm never turning down extra cuddles, but I've never played in the cold with my wrist.” He said as you saw him massaging it.
Setting the plate down to the side of you, your left hand lifted up to run through his hair before leaning down and kissing the top of it.
“You're nervous.”
“That's an understatement.”
“Well it's been cold all week and everyday that you came home from practice you didn't mention anything to me.”
“Because you’re going to worry and that is the last thing I want or need. I felt like I did okay in practice, but not as good as I wanted to be.”
“You’re my husband last time I checked, of course I'm going to worry. No matter how you look at it, your job is dangerous.” You replied as you shrugged.
“I just… I think I'll probably have a few heaters on the sidelines to help keep it loose. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to do.”
“Go out there and do your best. That's what you can do. No matter what the outcome is tomorrow, I know you're going to be amazing. You staying up all hours of the night is not going to help you. Did you even go to sleep at all?”
“No. I've just been laying here.”
“Babe…..”
“I'm just frustrated with how this entire season has gone and now this is something else that I'm adding to it.”
“I know this season hasn't been what you expected, but you have consistently showed up every single week and gave it your all. That is something to be proud of because if it was me, knowing my ass I would have been like bye yall I'm going to sit in the locker room. But not you and you’re a leader for a reason.” You quietly said as he cuddled closer to you.
“And I'm going to be there tomorrow cheering for you the entire time.” You added and in response, Joe leaned over to place several kisses on your lips.
“And like I tell you every single day, I'm proud of you no matter what.”

The sound of yet another can being opened. Your fourth, fifth, sixth energy drink today. It was easy to lose count when your mind was in a constant haze of self-deprecation, insecurity, and loneliness. Why should you be feeling any of this? You had a loving and amazing boyfriend who would compliment and reassure you daily. There should be no reason or excuse for you to live this way.
However, you let your mind get the best of you.
You continued to down your next energy drink within 5 minutes, rubbing your forehead as you continued typing your essay for college. Life stressed you out. Once you graduated, you moved on. Moving on to adulthood, college, work, you name it. Along with all these struggles, something a little more positive wiggled into your life. Your boyfriend, Chan. He was the sweetest guy you could ask for. Nice, caring, handsome, selfless, you wouldn’t trade him for the world. Your first four years weren’t bad, a little bump here and there but nothing like high school had been. Chan had found out how hard it was for you as a teenager. He’d walked in on a close relapse but was able to stop and comfort you. Help you recover, and you did.
Well, sort of.
That’s what Chan thinks anyway. It wasn’t a total lie, it had been a clean recovery for the most part. But as college got harder, the workload got larger, your social life got worse, and all that work to get better quickly dissipated. Of course, you couldn’t let him know that. Remembering the look on his face when you had explained what you used to deal with, and what it caused you to do to yourself. It was something you couldn’t bear to see again. So, you kept it hidden.
You kept it hidden by coping with it differently. Once you realized your previous method of relapsing wouldn’t work anymore, you turned to caffeine. Your previous method involved physically scarring yourself, and you couldn’t hide it. Any caffeine you could find. Soda, coffee, tea, energy drinks. Anything that could take your mind away from the horrible thoughts that clouded your mind. So there you found yourself, sipping on your seventh one of the day. Then your eighth, your ninth, the numbers continue to increase. Proceeding to drink them like they were water, unaware of the severe health problems it could lead to. Or maybe you were aware, and just couldn’t bring yourself to care.
Bang Chan had no idea about it. It was something you could easily keep hidden by destroying the evidence. The empty cans and bottles weren’t hard to get rid of. And with your boyfriend having to stay later than usual to prepare for new comebacks, it was even easier.
You rubbed your eyes with your fingertips and yawned. The clock read 1:30 a.m. It was well after midnight, a time when most would be asleep, resting, and preparing to start their day tomorrow. However, it was a different story for you. Of course for Chan as well, although he had a different situation. Your fingers went away at the keys on your keyboard. You were determined to finish this essay, knowing you’d probably be assigned another one in a few days. Suddenly, your phone dinged. You groaned as annoyance began to flow through you. All you wanted to do was get this stupid schoolwork done and go to bed. As you were about to turn your phone on silent, something caught your eye. A notification from your friend group chat. All you could do was stare at the unopened message, watching as the amount of notifications suddenly began to get larger and larger. Some of your friends were interesting, definitely toxic but there were only a few you had left. In your eyes, it was better to have someone who treats you horribly, rather than having no one. You knew you shouldn’t, but your dying curiosity got the better of you. Next thing you knew, you were reading through several degrading comments.
All about you.
One of your friends had completely snapped at you. Half of your mutual friends had turned against you because of her twisted words. Suddenly, it was like you were frozen. Nothing felt real, and you weren’t a hundred percent sure of what was happening anymore. They were throwing insults at you left and right, and you were too exhausted to defend yourself. It wasn’t long before you zoned out, completely forgetting about the work in front of you. Letting all the negative and self-degrading insults cloud your mind. You began to bathe in self-doubt thanks to the toxicity. It had been like this for years, that one specific friend turning everyone in your life against you. It’d cause you to have an episode, she’d apologize and guilt trip you. And you somehow fell for it. Despite all this, you had a couple of friends who stuck by your side no matter what. Aware of how manipulative she could be, they understood and sympathized with you. This was how it always was. Constantly being drowned in school work and stress, your suffering continues to grow with the emotional abuse. Those thoughts were quickly interrupted as you saw headlights shine through the windows of the living room. Chan had arrived home.
The headlights soon flashed off. Only moments later did Chan slowly and cautiously open the front door. He attempted to keep the noise level down, expecting you to be asleep. Much to his surprise, you were at the dining table in front of your computer. “Baby, what are you still doing up?” He asked sweetly as he shut the front door, locking it back. “Oh, hey Chan. How was your day?” You asked him, completely ignoring his question. Taking another sip of your newly opened energy drink, your eyes didn't leave the screen. You wanted to get this over with and do your best to push out all the self-hatred that your friends dispersed into you.
His eyes briefly darted to the drink that sat on the table next to you, a tinge of worry shooting through him. It wasn’t unusual to find you up late, but it was currently almost 2 am. Doing his best to brush it off, he walked over and sat his things on the kitchen counter. “Not sure how well you’ll sleep with that caffeine in your system.” He said in a joking manner, but also in hopes of bringing you to your senses. Nothing else was said, silence painted the room with only the sound of your typing. He glanced over at the screen, seeing the endless pages of words, that’s when Chris began to wonder…
“How long have you been working on that? Maybe I can help you so you can get to bed soon.” Chan said as he walked over next to you. He put one hand on the back of your chair and his other on the table, leaning down to get a better view of the computer. It was clear he was concerned. “It’s fine, Channie. I’ll get it done within the next uhhh.. couple hours?” He was in disbelief at what he was hearing. Although you stayed up late, you never slept after 12:30. The fact that you said you’d be done when it was nearing sunrise? It shocked him. “Maybe you should just finish this tomorrow, it’s getting late y/n-“
“I know it’s late, but I need this done tonight.” Cutting him off with a sharp tone and briefly looking up at him. He took a small step back at your sudden change. “Just go to bed, i’ll be there soon.” You turned back to your laptop, running your fingers through your hair. Chan could only stand there as he tried to process what had just happened. Sure you weren’t harsh, but you’d never talked to him like that before. After a few minutes, he decided he would clean up around the house a bit. With him being at work all the time, and you busy with college and your job, the house had collected more than dust. Chris already couldn’t sleep well, and knowing you were acting like this would have made resting impossible. He thought that keeping himself occupied until you were done would help. One by one, he went through every dirty dish, every dirty piece of laundry, and every dog toy scattered around from Berry who he now kept with you two. Over an hour had passed, and you still weren’t done. He wasn’t even sure that you realized he was still in the room.
Mutually, he hadn’t even noticed you had opened up two more energy drinks since he’d been here until he saw the cans on the table. He furrowed his eyebrows. One this late was one thing, but the two large-sized energy drinks afterward were another. Something about that irked him, he was big on health. However, he figured you’d had a long day, so he kept his mouth shut as he finished cleaning the house.
Then, his eye caught something.
The trash can. His mouth practically fell open when he saw it, shocked by the amount of empty bottles and cans. Just how much caffeine have you consumed today? Chan had many discussions with you about your health, it was one of the most important factors in life to him. And it was unusual for you not to take care of yourself, he wasn’t sure what to think.
“Y/N..“ he started and caught your attention. You hummed lowly in response, with only silence to follow. He was still in shock, he’d never expect someone like you to care so little about your health. His tongue dragged along the inside of his cheek, doing his best to keep calm. “Just how much caffeine have you had today..?” Chris asked you in a lecturing tone. You rubbed your forehead and sighed before briefly turning your swivel chair around to meet his eyes. “What?” Asking him as if you hadn’t heard. Your words were laced with annoyance, unaware of the events that were about to follow.
He couldn’t bring himself to answer you, only countering with another question of his own. “How many talks have we had about how important your health is?” Your boyfriend crossed his arms as you sighed once again. “I don’t see where you’re going with this.” He figured your head must have been too jumbled to pick up what he was putting down. Chan exhaled deeply as he pinched the bridge of his nose and squinted his eyes. Frustration nipped at him as he bit his tongue so he didn’t say something he’d regret. You were slowly pushing him over the edge.
“You know what, how about we put this away for the night so you can sleep.” The male had realized he was going to have to do more than just talk to get through to you. He thought that resorting to calmer words and taking more action would work. But before he could walk over and shut your laptop, you protested. “What? No, I need to get this done. I’m not finished.”
Chris bit the inside of his cheek and sighed heavily. “Again, go to bed and I’ll be there in a bit.” You continued before muttering something inaudible under your breath. It wasn’t long before your body was facing the computer once again. Anger and frustration began to course through him. What the hell had happened to you? Usually, you were calm and thought carefully about what you put in your body, but now you refused to even acknowledge that your health was declining. Not to mention, you’d gotten snappy with him. “Y/N, it is after 3 in the morning. I’m tired, I know you’re tired. Let’s go to bed and talk about this in the morning-“
“God Chan I do not need you lecturing me right now. I have shit to get done!” Cutting him off and whipping back around in your chair, you left him standing there dumbfounded. “For once, worry about yourself. I don’t need you standing over my shoulder telling me what to do.” The two of you locked eyes briefly. You don’t know what it was and what made you speak to him like that. Was it the stress? The caffeine? The self-hatred? Maybe it was a mix of it all that finally sent you over the edge. Your boyfriend clenched his fist as tears started to gloss over his eyes. A glint of hurt flashed over them before he finally snapped back.
“You know what? I don’t care anymore Y/N. Obviously, you don’t care about your health so don’t expect me to be there when fall to the ground of a heart attack!” His words shot right through your heart. Reality hit you. Immediately, your body shot up out of the chair, “Chan-“ Before you could apologize, you heard the bedroom door slam. You jumped at the loud noise. You could feel yourself start to disassociate, and it wasn’t long before you found your head buried in your hands. Silent sobs escaped through your lips. You weren’t even sure when your body gave out as you collapsed to the ground. The weight of the past month’s struggles all came crashing down on your shoulders at once. How could you be so stupid? The one person you knew you could count on to take care of you and keep you safe, you had pushed away. Realization hit as you glanced over to see the amount of caffeine you’d ingested in only 24 hours. As if on cue, your body finally started to react to it. Your heart felt as if it was beating out of your chest, your body got jittery and you’d only just noticed how much your anxiety had spiked.
A curse seeped through your lips as your cries got unnoticeably louder. At this point, your body and mind refused to forgive you. You started breathing heavier and faster as you found yourself hyperventilating, going back and forth between wanting to get better and wanting it to end. Your mind only brought back horrible memories as intense anxiety ran through your veins. The only sounds that filled the room were your cries, and the refrigerator humming in the background. It added such an eerie and unsettling feeling.
Meanwhile in the bedroom was Chan who had now changed into his sleep clothes. The events of the past few hours raced through his mind on loop. Beginning to replay your actions of the past month in his head, he searched for an answer on why you would be acting like this. You had hurt him, but it wasn’t deniable that you were most likely hurting too.
Hurt people, hurt people. He wasn’t angry, he was just worried sick. It was obvious you had been acting off, but he never knew you turned to caffeine to cope. And as if the male needed any more confirmation, the sound of your suffering slipped right through the walls to his ears. His body moved before he could think, immediately jumping up and making his way to the door.
As he opened it, he realized just how miserable you must’ve been the past month. Usually, he was one to check up on you. Doing small household tasks together and letting you rant about your day, then listen to his. But recently, that had not been the case. Something must’ve been going on that you refused to tell him. You were unaware that you’d caught his attention until you felt two strong arms wrap you in a warm embrace from behind. Your body immediately acted as you threw yourself up and into his arms. “Shh shh, it’s okay sweetheart.” Chan rubbed soothing circles over your back as he noticed how worked up you were. “Baby you’re shaking,” He briefly pulled back to meet your eyes. His fingers found their way under your eyes as he wiped away the tears that poured down your face. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry.”
You dug your head into the crook of his neck, continuing to mutter out apologies to him. “Please don’t leave me, please..” You begged him in between sniffles, which caught him a bit off guard. His lips poured into a frown. “I’m not going to leave you, why would I do that?” Chan’s tone was soft and comforting. However, the question flew through one ear and right out the other.
“I don’t want to hurt anymore Chan, please..” Confusion glossed over his eyes, you don’t want to hurt anymore? What were you talking about? His hands lifted your chin as he pulled his body back slightly to face you. “Slow down, what do you mean?” Worry made its way through his body, it was only then that he noticed just how much you were shaking. “I don’t want to do it anymore Chan, I can’t take it..” Unintentionally, pleas slipped right past your teeth. His eyes looked into yours with sympathy. “Oh, honey..” This was always something you did your best to keep hidden from him, your poor mental health. Chan was a very sweet person. Whenever he noticed that someone he loved was hurting, he made them his priority. Oftentimes, letting his health decline in the process. You had refused to let that happen. Not to mention, you weren’t sure how long he’d want to stay after seeing how weak and vulnerable you could be. It wasn’t that you didn’t believe he loved you, but your mind told you otherwise.
“What’s going on, what’s making you think like this hm?” His hand stroked through your hair, doing every single action of reassurance that he could. God how he hoped it was working. “I.. Everyone hates me and.. and I didn’t even do anything!” You suddenly broke. However, he didn’t scream, insult, or push you away. Quietly and patiently, he waited for you to continue. Making sure to keep you in a warm embrace, he did his best to soothe you. “And I’m drowning in school work and I’m just..”
"Is this about…" Chris suddenly asked you. This wasn't the first time you had come to him with a problem like this, but it was the worst by far. Your glossy eyes glanced up at his, your lips quivering as you held back tears. As if on cue, a ding was heard from the table. Followed by a few more and you immediately knew what was happening. More tears spilled down your face as you avoided eye contact. Curious, Chan looked between you and your phone. Hesitantly, he grabbed it. Anger started to run through his veins as he scrolled through all the chats. He only read a few before he decided to put it down. If he didn’t stop now, he wasn’t sure that everyone would make it out alive. The male turned back towards you, as he gently motioned for you to sit down on the floor. You began to sway, which worried him. Gently, his hands found yours. “Baby, I love you so much you know that?”
“And I want to respect whatever decisions you make because after all, it’s your life but..” He glanced back and forth between your two eyes as you waited for him to continue. This was something to be gone about carefully, the phrasing couldn’t be too harsh. “You have got to cut them off, they’re not good for your mental health and it’s starting to worry me.” You glanced up at him and then at the floor. He was right, there was no denying that. Healthily dealing with things like this was hard for you. “But.. I’m scared.”
“I know, I understand but… I’m concerned with the amount of caffeine you’re putting in your body.” Chan rubbed his thumb over your knuckle as your hand began to shake. “I thought.. I thought it would help distract me. I just wanted everything to end.” Your bottled-up feeling poured out like an ocean. Although Chan was thankful you were finally talking to him, he didn’t know what to do besides getting you help. That was going to be a challenge. “I just want you to be happy again, I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen you eat a whole meal. Much less anything other than caffeine.”
He sighed, “Look I know it may not be what you want to hear, but you need help Y/N.” Unexpectedly, you didn’t protest. “You need to go to a professional, can you do that for me? I’ll even go with you.” You inhaled and exhaled deeply. Doctors terrified you, which is probably why you never went willingly before. The last time you needed help, you had to be dragged there by someone. And most of the time it was Chan. Your eyes met his before slowly nodding, causing a smile to tug on your boyfriend’s lips. His hand went up to the side of your head, fixing your hair a bit. “Can you smile for me, please?”
You didn’t budge and he let out a playful sigh. “Come onnnn, pleaseeeee.” He stuck his bottom lip out to form a pout, one glance is all it took for you to fold, your lips curving upwards into a soft smile. A small giggle from him sounded as he continued to stroke your hair. “There you go… come here.” You glanced at his arms which were now open and welcoming you into them as you crawled into his lap. He rocked you back and forth muttering small positive affirmations to you. Chan was someone you would be forever grateful for. He always knew how to help and cheer you up. The mutual love you guys had for each other was unmatched. So there you two were, in each other's arms as a comforting silence began to take over. With all the caffeine in your system, you both knew it was going to be nearly impossible for you to sleep tonight. There was a long road of recovery waiting for you ahead. However, with Chan, you knew everything was going to be okay.

Deja Vu | Jeon Jungkook | One Shot
Summary: Life hadn't gone down the path you had hoped for but the one who made that choice for you isn't someone you want to see ever again. Pairing: f!reader x Jungkook, childhood friends Word Count: 3k~ a/n: I wrote this last night in one go so I figured I might as well post it...let me know if you guys would like to see this from Jungkook's pov 👀 p.s. I got lazy and hardly edited this but I hope you guys like it lol Oh and this is loosely based off of the very beginning of Deja Vu by Tomorrow x Together
My fingers ghost along the spines of the books I pass by, looking for something that might catch my eye because yes sometimes I do judge a book by it's cover.
Finding one that seems interesting enough I turn it over, reading the summary of the fifth romance novel I've picked up since I've been here but when the bell on the door jingles giving notice of a newcomer I turn to see who it is...and I really I wish I hadn't.
My palms instantly clam up leaving me nervously wiping them off on my sweater so I don't damage the book but I can't let go of it since it's my only form of shelter, hiding in plain sight from the person I hoped to never see again.
Curiosity get's the best of me though, watching as he sits down and pulls out his laptop at one of the tables in this cafe bookstore hybrid, one of my favorites places in the city that I'll probably never come to again in fear of running into him.
He pulls a camera out of his bag and takes the memory card out before putting it in his computer to upload it's contents.
I guess he did end up becoming a photographer like he always wanted.
It's strange seeing someone who was so important to you for so many years become someone you barely even recognize. But that's the thing, I do recognize him and I hate the fact that no matter how hard I try I can't help think of him often. How is he doing? What does his life look like now? Has he finally found someone to love like I have?
Seeing him makes me doubt everything though, but that's just what he does. He makes it impossible for me not to be drawn to him, wanting to talk to him, to laugh with him, to be with him.
I thought I had moved past that. Thought that this silly little childhood crush had been nothing but that, a stupid crush that I finally grew out of.
But seeing him here tells me it's everything but that.
I look from him to the book I'm hiding behind, trying to distract myself and with the amount of effort I'm putting in it actually works...for a little while.
My eyes are begging me to let them wander again, indulge in the desire to observe him even if nothing comes from it and once I decide that one more look can't hurt instead of meeting his brows furrowed in concentration I meet his eyes.
His soft chocolate brown eyes that I've willed myself not to drown in time and time again are looking back at me, a soft smile reaching his lips when he finally sees me notice him making me sick to my stomach.
Turning as subtly as I can I walk further into the maze of shelves around me, praying his interest in me was only fleeting and that he in fact did not recognize me.
After a few minutes of hiding in the corner that not many notice as it's a rather unpopular genre I let out the breath that I had decided to hold at some point, my need to be invisible necessary to my survival but when I decide the coast is clear and walk out of my little nook I bump into the exact person I wish I had never met all those years ago.
He holds onto my forearm as he sees me stumble back, unsure of if this minor collision would result in a fall and with his help, that I hate to admit I needed in the moment, prevents that mortifying occurrence from happening.
"I'm sorry that was my fault" he says and lets go of my arm, thankfully noticing how uncomfortable I am with his touch from my body language. "No it was mine, I should've been more careful coming out from behind that corner" I admit, a common courtesy after interactions like this, neither one wanting to admit it was the other persons fault.
"Well regardless I'm sorry" he says and I nod my head, looking down at the floor to avoid giving him a chance to recognize me. "I'm glad I caught you though, a fall against a bookshelf doesn't sound the most desirable" he chuckles, hoping to diffuse the awkward air around us but there's no use in him trying. He made that decision for the both of us a long time ago...
*Seven years ago*
"Please say something" I mumble, the five feet between us feeling like we're lightyears away, the silence a twin to the vacuum that is space.
He's right there but I know I've lost him for good with this stupid decision. "I don't know what to say" he mumbles right back leaving me scoffing in disbelief. "Then make something up. Anything is better than this" I say in reference to the radio silence between us since I decided to confess to him.
I know I shouldn't have done it. I know I'm selfish for telling him after all of these years and not simply fessing up to how I felt about him long ago but I was afraid that something like this might happen, and I was right.
I hate that when it comes to him that I'm always right.
I could let us part ways and go to college leaving things left unsaid but I stupidly hoped that we could make it work. Do long distance so we wouldn't feel the need to go on dates or even worry about getting physical if it got to that point.
In my silly little crush clouded brain I thought that he would at least give us a shot but I know it was useless.
I know he doesn't feel the same way about me but I didn't realize it was gonna be this fucking hard.
"Just say something!" I say, raising my voice at him since I need to do something to keep myself from suffocating. "What do you fucking want me to say?" he throws back, getting just as upset but he has no reason to be acting like this, not when he holds our future in the palm of his hand.
"Say you don't like me, say you're not into me like that because from this reaction alone I know you probably don't feel the same way! Anything but this..." I say, my tone harsh but softening at the end, wanting to be mad at him but he's done nothing wrong.
Nothing except for giving me false hope that we could be something more.
"I don't know how I feel about you" he admits and I scoff. "Well when you figure it out, you know where to find me" I say and pick up my bag that I had discarded on the table I had been sat on, waiting for him to finally show up.
I had decided to do this off campus.
We're seniors and although the rumors and humiliation from his rejection wouldn't go around for long it wasn't worth it to have the off chance of an audience.
No doubt they'll still circulate since the two of us have been conjoined at the hip since childhood but keeping the actual event from prying eyes was the best I could do.
I take one last look at him but his eyes are turned down, not even able to look me and so I walk to my car as fast as I can, holding back the stupid fucking tears that I told myself I would never cry.
I've always been told that boys aren't worth my tears, but he's not just some boy...
*Back to present time*
"Right um, thanks" I say and continue to look at my shoes, noticing the small scuff marks that I had accumulated from the many trips out I had taken them on, anything to distract myself from the man in front of me.
"I uh, I noticed you reading over there," he says, waving towards the general direction he had seen me at, "thought I would come over and introduce myself" he says, not letting me go with that simple apology for the unfortunate opening to us meeting again, though he doesn't know yet that we have absolutely no need for an introduction.
"Do you hunt down and force introductions with strangers often?" I mumble, wanting to be taken as closed off and disinterested as possible. He chuckles and I fucking hate how it makes my heart flutter, the same sound I had heard time and time again, although a little deeper now but no less charming.
"No, not often, but I didn't want to miss my opportunity since you decided to run off as soon as I caught your eye" he says, pointing out my obvious efforts of escape.
"I'm Jungkook" he says after there's been a lull in the conversation, holding out his hand for me to shake and after a pregnant pause I decide to take it, offering at least a common courtesy since I'm not the asshole in this relationship, or lack there of.
"It's nice to meet you" he says and I mumble the same sentiment back, not meaning a single word of it. "Do you talk to people's shoes often?" he teases as I haven't met his eyes since that initial glance, one he found inviting where as I felt was an ignition to my fight or flight, and unfortunately for me, yet fortunately for him, I chose wrong.
"That's not what I'm doing" I say, finally facing him, the difference in height a lot bigger than I remembered, his amused smile making it even more nerve racking, my body begging me to get the hell out of here.
"Then what is it that you were doing?" he asks, a crooked smile on his face but when a couple of beats passes by without me giving him an answer he takes that time to study me and when I see his expression changes to one of recognition I know there's no use in trying to get away unscathed.
"Yn?" he asks, my name no doubt feeling foreign on his lips but the way it sound to me is heartbreaking, a sound that I had hoped I would never hear again.
I decide to just look up at him, facing my fear since the answer to his barely articulated inquiry is quiet obvious to him now.
"What has it been, five year? Six years?" he asks, his eyes lighting up and his tone a relaxed one as if this is a happy reunion, showing that my feelings had really meant nothing to him.
"Seven actually" I say and he sighs in disbelief, "Has it really been that long?" he asks, a stupid question that could’ve been solved by a couple of seconds of mental math but I just hum as a response and try to walk past him, my first efforts of escape.
"Woah woah woah, where are you going?" he asks as if he had a right to keep me here. "Home" I say and try to walk down the path that'll lead me out of this bookstore that feels a lot smaller now.
"Do you have a second? I thought we could catch up? Maybe grab a coffee or something?" he suggests, nodding towards the cafe and I sigh, trying to think of the best way to shoot him down but luckily I don't have to, at least not now.
"I've been looking everywhere for you" David, my fiancé says, placing a just barely there kiss on my cheek as a way to somewhat establish our relationship to this unknown man in front of me.
When there's been another pause with me making no efforts of introduction David decides to take the initiative. "David" he says simply, holding out his hand for Jungkook to shake and he gives his name right back, their eye contact quickly broken as Jungkook's decided to bring his eyes back to me.
"Honey who's this?" David asks in a soft tone, placing a hand on my waist in reassurance, showing me he's not upset after finding me talking to this mystery man from his perspective.
"We used to be friends back in school" Jungkook says when I still decide to hold my tongue, making this interaction even more uncomfortable than it needs to be but I have no obligation to make this go smoothly. His admission to having lost touch cracks open up a scab on my heart that I thought had healed long ago.
"Oh, so you guys grew up together?" David asks and Jungkook nods. "Yeah...we did" he says softly, still looking at me as I've decided to look away from him after a few exchanges between the two of them.
"Honey do you think you could pull the car around? I'm sure he has something to get back to, as do we" I say, hoping he won't mind following my request without a need to ask for clarification. "Sure love, I'll text you when I'm out front" he says, him knowing that I'd no doubt like I second to wrap things up alone while remembering that we had to park pretty far away as it's an uncharacteristically busy day today.
"Thanks" I mouth to him and he places a kiss on my temple before holding his hand out for Jungkook again. "It was nice to meet you" he says and Jungkook nods half heartedly, "Yeah, you too" and he watches his back for a second as David leaves before turning his attention back to me.
"Boyfriend?" he asks unceremoniously, "Fiancé, actually" I say and he looks down and indeed sees the beautiful ring David had gotten me.
"Wow! Um, congratulations" he says, trying his hand at a halfhearted sentiment but failing miserably. "Yeah we've been together for four years so we figured it was time" I say and he nods his head giving me a sad smile.
"Well I'm happy for you" he says softly and I scoff, "No" I say abruptly to the point he flinches. "No?" he says as if he had never uttered the word before.
"You do not get to act like a kicked puppy because you didn't think I would move on" I say and place my pointer finger on his chest and he steps back as I apply pressure.
"What do you mean? I only said I was happy for you" he says as if he hadn't put on the saddest doe eyes he has ever given me. "You know you've gotten even more transparent with age" I say and he goes to open his mouth but I'm not done with him yet.
"You waltzed over here probably thinking I was just some cute girl that you wanted to shoot your shot with but when you found out it was me you wanted to what? Get a coffee? Act like nothing ever happened? Go back to the way we were? Or did you think you actually had a shot with me after everything you put me through?" I say practically shaking from the intensity of the words that I can't stop from coming out.
No warmth, no compassion left in my tone, just pure anger and disgust and I can tell from the way he's no longer carrying himself as confidently as before, he wasn't expecting this kind of a reaction from me.
After another pause as painful as the one all those years ago I scoff again, crossing my arms over my chest, losing patience with this conversation. "You gonna say something or are you still trying to figure out how you feel about me? Or better yet did you even bother to?" I spit out and he shakes his head.
"I was scared and stupid and selfish and couldn't figure out what the hell I wanted" he says, seemingly becoming more articulate over the years, but just barely.
"Is that all you have to say to me?" I ask, his explanation subpar at best. "Y/n I was eighteen and scared of losing you. You were the most important person in my life, and in some ways you still are" he admits but I shake my head and step away from him making him take a step towards me.
"You do not get to go around acting like the victim saying things like that just to mess with my head" I seethe, appalled that he thinks he has the right to say that to me. "Y/n I didn't mean to-"
"You know what?" I say, cutting him off, "I always thought that what you did, or didn't even bother to do showed that you didn't care about my feelings, but I never thought of you as being cruel. Maybe that whole time you were just toying with my feeling just because you could. You never expected me to have the guts to finally tell you how I felt huh?"
"Y/n please that's not what happened" he says, chasing after me when I start to walk away from him. "Then what did happen huh?" I spit out, waiting for whatever sorry excuse to come out of his mouth.
"I never meant to hurt you..." he says, reaching out for my hand but I move out of the way.
I give him one last once over, looking at how heartbroken and pathetic he looks but I have no sympathy for him and from the way the last bit of hope drains from his eyes he finally realizes that there's no saving this.
He tries once more to say something but we're interrupted by the text we both knew I was begging to come in.
"Y/n..." he says and tries to see if I'll give him one last chance but I turn my back and walk towards the door, my hand resting on the handle for longer than necessary, contemplating if this was the right choice but for the sake of my future I know that it was.
"Goodbye Jungkook" I utter under my breath and pull the door open to walk out. When I turn back to close the door behind me I do myself a horrible disservice by looking through the glass and seeing an expression on his face that I'll never forget.

summary: you sleep with the driver you’ve had a crush on for forever, should you have done it though?
notes: so this was originally a one shot request, but i think i may have gotten carried away with it. this is going to be a series, i don’t know how long it’ll be, probably not as long as the pornstar series, but more than a few chapters.
wc: 2919
warnings: !! INCLUDES SMUT, MINORS DNI !! oral (both f and m receiving), p in v sex, getting sick, pregnancy
This is wrong.
You watch as he talks animatedly with Alex and Lando. The three of them giggle as they talk amongst themselves. You softly smile as George glances your way and gives you a small wave.
You clear your throat, brush off your nerves, and approach the group.
“Alex, James wants to see you and Logan in his office.” You tell the Williams driver when you’ve gathered his attention.
“See you guys later.” Alex says, throwing an arm over your shoulder, walking back towards the Williams area of the paddock.
“You know you can just talk to him, right?” Alex asks you.
You hum as you look up at him questioningly.
“George. You don’t just have to stare at him from afar, you can talk to him.”
You shake your head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
As the person hired to be James Vowels’ assistant, you had a close relationship with both Williams drivers. You could often be found spending time with the two of them while not working. And of course hanging around Alex meant hanging around his best friend, George Russell.
It was hard to explain George. He was british, of course, so very british. He was sweet. He had a tendency to make punny jokes. He was handsome. He often found himself being used as memes in the F1 world.
He was perfect, and he was completely 100% out of your league. Even if Alex tried to constantly push you to get closer to him.
You shouldn’t be doing this.
The club was loud, dimly lit, but at the same time flashing with bright strobe lights. You swirl your drink in your glass. You didn’t want to be here, you’d rather be back in your hotel room, sleeping, or packing for the flight home tomorrow.
Alex stumbles over to you, Lily on his arm, clearly trying to keep him standing up.
“Why are you alone? Go talk to someone!” He shouts far too loud.
“I think I’m good right here, thanks.” You tell him.
“Boring.” He sticks his tongue out.
“I think it’s time to get you home. Or at least get some water and food in your system.” Lily says. “See you tomorrow?” She asks you.
You nod, then watch her walk off with Alex stumbling after her. You shake your head and take a sip of your drink.
“He’s going to be a mess tomorrow.” A voice says next to you. You recognize it immediately.
You turn to see George standing next to you, leaning against the bar, a drink of his own in his hand. His hair flops down in his face a little. His eyes seem to sparkle in the club lights.
“Poor Lily.” You say, tearing your gaze away from him.
“Poor Lily? I’m gonna be the one he complains about it to.” George laughs.
“Maybe you should just get drunk too.”
“You want to get me drunk?” George smirks looking down at you.
“No, I didn’t mean-” you stutter.
George bumps his arm against yours. “I’m kidding.”
You give an awkward laugh looking back down at your drink. “You did really well this weekend.” You tell him before drinking some more, hoping to get some liquid courage in your system.
“Thanks.” He smiles. “You guys were great too.”
“Oh, I have nothing to do with anything that happens on track.” You shake your head.
“Really? Toto runs his assistant like a madman.”
You laugh and shake your head. “No, James gives me tasks that help the team, sure, but never anything big enough to impact the races.”
“I’m sure that’s not true.” George says, taking a drink of his beer.
The two of you chat for the rest of the evening about the season, about Alex, about his career so far and yours. He brushes off anyone who tries to get his attention while he’s with you, opting to stay practically glued to your side.
Don’t let this keep going.
You share a taxi back to your hotel. You’re pressed up against his side as he tells you a story about something to do with Alex. You can’t really remember what it’s about specifically, you’re too enamored with the way the lights of the city flash over his eyes.
You laugh when he gets out of the car, his long legs making it a challenge after being cramped in the backseat. You’re still giggling when he holds a hand out for you to take to help you step out of the car. You think you can see a faint blush on his cheeks.
He walks you up to your room, keeping a hand on the small of your back the whole way there. You dig in your pocket for your key, looking up at him when you find it.
Don’t do it.
The hallway feels smaller than it did this morning, like there’s no room between you and George. You can smell his cologne and a little bit of the alcohol he was drinking in the club.
His eyes glance down at your lips, then back up to your eyes, as if he’s having his own internal battle in his head.
From there on it’s foggy. You don’t know who made the first move, maybe it was you, maybe it was him, or maybe you were both just too desperate for one another you couldn’t hold yourselves back.
You need to stop this.
His hands grip onto your hips as yours hold onto his face. Your body is pressed between his and the door. You fumble with your room key, pressing it into the lock, then blindly searching for the door handle with your hand.
George takes over, swiftly opening the door, pushing you inside, then closing it behind him.
A trail of clothing is left between the door and your bed. Your kisses become sloppier and hungrier. Your hands bury themselves in his golden hair, tugging at the soft strands.
This is a bad idea.
His touch becomes softer when he’s got you on your bed. His touches turn gentle as he caresses you, and kisses your exposed skin. His eyes look up to yours often, silently asking if you're okay, if he’s doing what you want him to do.
He spends a while between your legs, making you fall apart on his mouth. His eyes look up at you, hazy, as if he’s letting himself drown in you. He groans when you squeeze your legs around his head and tug on his hair.
You pull him back up to you so you can kiss him again. You can taste yourself on his lips.
You flip him over and crawl down to do the same with him. He reaches out, and stops you with a hand to your chin, making you look up at him.
“You don’t have to.”
“I want to.” You nod.
George swears he’s died and gone to heaven when he feels your lips on him. He throws his head back and lets out a soft moan. His hands twitch at his sides, searching for something to hold onto.
You take his hands and guide them to your hair, giving him control. He looks down at you, and nearly finishes at the sight alone. His cock is in your mouth as you look up at him, your eyes somehow innocently staring into his.
You take him down your throat, using your hands to pump what you can’t fit in your mouth.
He pulls you up off his cock when he feels himself getting close, desperate to cum inside you rather than in your mouth. He rolls you back over, his body on top of yours while he kisses you again.
“Condom?” He pants against you.
You reach over to the drawer by your bed and pull out a condom, holding it out to him.
He tears it open and rolls it on, then looks back down at you, still laying under him.
“Are you sure you want-”
This won’t end well.
“I need you George.” You cut him off.
He tries to be careful with you, pushing into you slowly and gently, taking his time to stretch you out around him. His control slips away from him quickly though, when you wrap your legs around his waist, pushing him deeper inside you. He lets out a deep groan when he feels you clench around him, his head dropping down to your shoulder.
“I’m not gonna last.” He practically whimpers in your ear.
“Fuck me George.” You roll your hips up against his.
He does, lifting himself up off of you enough to pull out nearly all the way, then slam his hips back against yours. His hair falls in his face as a look of determination spreads over his face.
It’s impossibly warm, laying under him. You feel like you’re drowning in him, but you’re desperate to keep him close to you.
He reaches down to play with your clit when his pace begins to falter, a clear sign that he’s almost there. He needs you to cum first, so he holds his own orgasm back. He lets go when you cry out his name, pushing your hips up against his. His thrusts die down, becoming slower as you both ride out your orgasms.
He pulls out of you, out of breath. He pulls the condom off, tying it, then walks to the bathroom to throw it away. He silently comes back to the bed and lays next to you.
You don’t know where to go from here. Should you talk about what just happened? George makes the decision for you, pulling you into his arms. You lay against him quietly, listening to his heartbeat. His breathing evens out and soon you can hear him softly snoring.
You let yourself fall asleep in his arms, deciding to figure things out in the morning.
You shouldn’t have done this.
You wake up in an empty bed. The sheets are cold even with the sun streaming in through the window. You sit up and see some clothes on the floor, all of them yours, George’s gone.
You grab your phone and unlock it, hoping to see something, but there’s nothing from him. You only have one text from Lily, telling you that she and Alex made it back to the hotel alright.
You ignore the uncomfortable feeling that’s settled in your stomach and get up to shower and get dressed. You wear comfortable clothes, something that won’t bother you on the plane ride back home.
You check your phone throughout the day, waiting to see a text from George. Your phone remains in your hand at the hotel, on the plane ride home, even back at Williams HQ.
You cave that evening, sending George a brief text after you’ve gotten home. He responds within a few minutes, and it makes you feel even worse.
It was a mistake.
You don’t realize you’re crying until you see the teardrops that land on your phone’s screen. You quickly type out an answer before tossing your phone away to the other end of your couch.
You’re sure you weren’t drunk, and you’re almost certain he wasn’t either. You’d only seen him with one drink, but maybe he’d already had more earlier? But he seemed so casual and put together the entire time you were with each other.
You leave your phone in your living room that night. You can’t bear the thought of picking it back up to see any messages from him. You figure you should feel better after a good night’s sleep, you should have a clearer head.
The next day doesn’t bring any clarity however, instead you spend the day in what seems like a fog. Your body is working on autopilot as you accompany James to the factory.
You notice your apparent discomfort when he asks if you’re alright. You plaster a smile on your face and give him a brief nod, blaming your mood on jetlag.
You bury yourself in your work for the next week, putting all of your focus on helping James in whatever ways you can. You try to ignore social media while back at home, not wanting to have to think about George and be reminded of what happened.
You know seeing him again is inevitable when it’s time for the next race weekend. You fly out with James, opting to catch up on some sleep while on the plane.
You thought being back in the paddock would be difficult, having to avoid the Mercedes garage at all costs. However, you find yourself spending all of your time in the Williams garage. You remain at James’ side as much as you can, save for the couple of times you’ve had to go to the restroom.
You figured the bad feelings in your stomach were simply nerves, but after a trip to the bathroom hunched over the toilet you assumed it was the food you had eaten on the plane.
You watch the race with Lily, sitting side by side with headphones over your ears. Usually you enjoy this part of race weekends, where you get to sit back and watch all the work the team has done come together. It’s quite hard to enjoy the race though when you’re excusing yourself to go to the restroom for a third time within an hour and a half.
“Are you alright?” Lily asks, her concern clear on her face.
You nod and shrug. “I think I have a stomach bug. I probably ate some bad food or something.”
She gives you an unconvinced nod then focuses her attention back on the race.
Logan and Alex finish in the midfield, which was expected. Lily leaves you to see her boyfriend while you join James again to go over the debriefing schedule.
Alex and Lily invite you to fly with them to the next circuit for the upcoming race. You accept, thanking them, grateful that you’ll have a little bit of time to rest during the double header.
The flight is filled with more trips to the bathroom, each of which has the couple’s concern growing.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” Alex asks, offering you some water.
You nod, taking small sips from the bottle. “It’s just a stomach bug.”
“You’ve been sick for almost a week now, stomach bugs only last a couple of days Y/n…” Lily says. “Are you sure it’s not something else?”
“What would it be?”
Lily glances at Alex and takes a deep breath before she asks. “You’ve been sick for a while now, and it seems like you’re constantly tired… Is it possible you’re pregnant?”
You feel the blood drain from your face. “No, no, I can’t be pregnant.”
“Y/n-”
“No, I can’t. It’s not possible.” You shake your head. You feel like you’re going to be sick yet again.
“Have you been with anyone recently?” Alex asks you.
There’s only been the one person as of late. You can feel the tears begin to well up in your eyes. Your hand raises to cover your mouth, trying to hold in the sobs you know are coming.
Lily moves to sit next to you, gently placing a hand on your back. “It’s alright, we don’t know anything for sure. We’ll get you a test to take when we’re landed.”
You nod, trying to calm down the rapid beating of your heart.
You keep quiet for the rest of the plane ride, letting yourself drown in your thoughts all while Alex and Lily attempt to keep you distracted.
You stop at a small store before going to the hotel, you and Lily walk in alone, afraid Alex will draw too much unwanted attention.
“I don’t think you two have anything to worry about.” The cashier gives the two of you a weird look when you ask for the test that’s sitting behind the counter.
You roll your eyes and pay for the box, shoving it in your bag and walking back to the car with Lily trailing behind you.
The three of you gather together in your room, all staring at the box in your hands.
“It’ll be okay.” Lily gives you a small smile.
“We’re here for you, no matter the result.” Alex nods.
The two of them sit on your bed while you go to the bathroom to use the test. You set a timer on your phone, leaving the test on the counter.
You sigh as you leave the bathroom. Your tears have finally dried, you wouldn’t be surprised if you had no more left in your system.
You wait silently for the test to finish. Your phone beeps after what seems like an eternity. You look at the couple sitting on your bed and close your eyes.
“It was George.” You say, your voice a little rough from your crying on the plane.
“George?” Alex asks.
“Russell.” You tell him. “It was George Russell. We slept together a few weeks ago. It was only a one night stand, but we used a condom, I didn’t think this would happen.” Your voice cracks as you finish speaking.
“Do you want me to look for you?” Lily asks.
“No, I can do it.” You wipe the tears that have started to fall again and take a deep breath.
You walk back into the bathroom and look down at the test. You turn to see Alex and Lily both standing in the doorway.
“I’m pregnant.”

“Mission; find the wallet?” — KMG

⋆ note — idek what is this but YES WE LOVE A BESTFRIEND!MINGYU 😽🔥 | will write another gyu oneshot <3
"Tsk, tsk, sucks to be you."
Your bestfriend pouted as he looked at you through the screen, brushing his hair with his hand as he attempted to find a spot on the bed to sit.
"That's not helping," he huffed, groaning in frustration at the sight of his room in disarray, with everything scattered around. "I really shouldn't have let him in my room."
"I told you, he is really annoying. Do you remember the day he got injured? And the professor told me to take care of him? It was probably the worst day of my life." You wince, recalling the disastrous day you had spent looking after the professor's son. "Isn't he too mischievous for his age?"
Mingyu chuckled, causing you to frown. "That day when you bumped onto me looking like a clown?"
"I'm hanging up the call if you want to keep it this way."
"No, no! I'm sorry!" He laughed, resting his phone against a book.
You roll your eyes, attempting to hold back a smile that threatened to form on your lips. "When are you coming back to the dorms?" He asks, and you shrug. "Tomorrow, maybe."
"Why do you ask?"
"Why do you think, genius?"
"I hope the professor's kid steals your wallet next time."
"Hey! that's—" he pauses, and gasps before speaking in a hushed tone. "Wait, where's my wallet!?"
Your jaw drops as you resist the urge to scold him for his carelessness. "Don't tell me you didn't hide your wallet." You stare at him in horror as he searches through his desk for his wallet, only to sigh and fall back into his chair.
"I can't find it..." He cried out, covering his face with his two hands.
"Gosh, what am I going to do with your careless ass?" With a sigh, you massage your temples while Mingyu sits there looking pouty, as if he is waiting for you to come up with a master plan to find it. "Are you sure it's not there?"
Mingyu's face lit up, and he quickly shook his head. "It's not there, it's not! let's go find it tomorrow!" He chirped with a grin, knowing that you will come back tomorrow. You smiled and sneered.
He had always been like this. Always so excited to meet you.
"Okay, then. I'll come back tomorrow morning and we can go to the professor together."
"I'll come to pick you up." He said, holding up his hands to form a heart. "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow, mwah!" He puckered his lips to deliver a flying kiss before hanging up the phone.
"No, wait—"
You sighed, as he had already hung up the phone.
You stood up from your seat, smiling at the thought of finally meeting your friends again. (by friends, I mean Mingyu)
Due to an important family gathering, you had to return home from the dorm a few days ago, and Mingyu has not left you alone for even a minute since then. Basically, he just wants to see his best friend again because he misses her so much.
You had to pack so you could leave tomorrow. It was definitely not gonna be easy when you arrive there. Questions from your friends about what happened in the family gathering, catching up with the lectures and lessons, preparing for exams, and most importantly, having a clingy Mingyu by your side. (which you loved ofcourse)

Steve’s heart races as he climbs the stairs to his room. He promised Eddie he would wait for him to get back from Indy tomorrow to do this, but he’s been thinking about it all day. Nonstop.
And Robin made him go home to “deal with his problem” even though he was scheduled to close.
His problem being that he’s been hard for the last three hours.
It’s Eddie’s fault, really. He’s the one that bought the vibrator, left it on Steve’s bed, and then fucked off to do band things in Indy for four days.
The first two days, Steve ignored it. It was easy to do because he was still unsure how he felt about using it at all. Eddie assured him he’d love it, and Eddie was usually right about the things he likes, but a part of Steve thought that maybe this was too far.
Until this morning, when he unboxed it out of curiosity, and he found that it had five settings. And that it had a heat feature. And that it would work as a plug, too.
He shoved it back in the box and stared at his ceiling for two hours before he got up and got ready for work.
He was useless at work all day, both Keith and Robin were completely done with him.
Steve sits on his bed and thinks about this.
He could just try it out on the lowest setting and see how it works. He’ll wash it really good and then box it back up so Eddie doesn’t know. He knows Eddie won’t waste any time when he’s back; He’s just as impatient as Steve is.
But he doesn’t want to lie to Eddie, and even more than that, he doesn’t want to break Eddie’s rule.
He kinda wants to, though. A little bit.
He’s usually so good. Always does what Eddie wants, tries to be a good boy for him.
And in return, Eddie tells him he’s good, and gives him what he wants, and makes him feel like he’s flying.
He thinks breaking this one rule might be worth it.
So he unboxes the vibrator again and he makes sure it has the batteries it was supposed to come with in it and he reads the manual slowly so he understands the buttons. If he’s doing this to himself, he needs to be able to feel which button is which.
“Just the lowest setting,” he says to himself as he strips all of his clothes off. “Just to see.”
It’s thicker than he expected, so he opens himself up on two fingers before he even tries to slip it inside.
When he does, he knows he’s in trouble.
“Fuck,” Steve whines, biting his lip as he tries to find the perfect spot for it to fit snugly against his prostate.
It’s not even on yet and he thinks he’s going to come.
Once it’s settled inside, he lets his arms fall against the bed, his breaths heavy as he tries to calm down. He shouldn’t be doing this. He should’ve waited for Eddie.
He reaches down to press the button on the tip of the plug, the one that turns it on.
The moment he does, he gasps and lets out a loud moan.
The vibrations are borderline too much, even in the first few seconds. It’s a dull thrum, but it fills him, and feels like it’s making his heart beat faster and his hands shake.
He’s leaking, probably has been for a while, but it’s so much more than he usually does. Eddie likes to lick it up and spit it into his mouth, make him clean up his own mess.
Just the thought of Eddie doing that now, while turning up the setting on the plug, has Steve gripping the base of his cock to avoid finishing so soon. He circles his hole with one fingertip, clenching around the plug as he bumps up the setting by one.
His back arches without his permission, and tears spring to his eyes as his release shoots across his stomach. It’s heaven and hell, feeling so much while not having Eddie here to kiss him, and play with his hair, and wipe him down.
He goes from feeling better than ever to feeling short bursts of pain with pleasure, the overstimulation of the vibrations still happening almost too much. He manages to turn the vibrator off with shaking hands, but he doesn’t remove it.
“Fuck me,” he laughs as he tries to settle down enough to remove it.
He closes his eyes and sighs out.
The last thought he has before falling asleep is that he didn’t even get to actually touch his dick.
****
He wakes to a hand on his dick.
He’d panic more if he wasn’t familiar with the hand on his dick.
“Fuck, Eddie,” he moans, thankful that they have their own home, that no one ever has to hear the way he screams under Eddie’s touch. “What’re you doing home?”
“Apparently disciplining you,” he replies, voice cool, smug smile in place.
The room is dark, but Steve can see enough of him to know he’s figured out that Steve didn’t listen to his instructions. The hand on his dick is rough, no spit to glide the way. Steve winces at the drag as he speeds up.
“Come on, baby,” Eddie nips his neck. “You wanted to come so bad you couldn’t wait for me. Now I’m here. Let’s see it.”
Steve whimpers. It hurts, but it’s so good. The weight of the plug filling him up just adds to it as is whole body is jostled with Eddie’s firm movements.
“Can’t.” Steve takes a breath. “Hurts.”
“Awww, you should’ve thought about that before trying my new toy without me.”
And it’s the way he says it, my toy in that tone that makes Steve think he isn’t just talking about the vibrator. Like maybe Steve is his toy.
Steve’s gonna come. He’s certain of it.
Any moment now.
He feels his thighs tense.
Eddie’s hand is gone.
“No!” Steve cries. “Please. I’m so close. Please.”
“I don’t care if you’re close, sweetheart,” his words sting as he pulls away and stares down at where the plug is hidden inside Steve. “What happened to my good boy, huh? I leave you alone for a few days and you decide to misbehave?”
Steve can’t even find words to explain himself. Eddie’s hand is back on him, but this time his fingers are pinching his nipples, twisting just enough for it to bite.
They’re gone as fast as they came and Steve’s gasping for breath, arching up into the touch while wishing Eddie would lick them to ease the burn. He’s a mess of feeling right now and it’s his own fault.
Eddie’s palm makes contact with Steve’s cheek.
It’s hot, fire against his skin. The pain of the slap barely registers as he feels his own release against his stomach.
“Would you look at that?” Eddie hums. “Who knew being so rough with you would make such a mess.”
Steve feels a tear fall from the corner of his eye, but he’s too busy coming down from his high to wipe it away.
Eddie does it for him.
It’s gentle, soft, the opposite of the slap that caused it.
“I’m gonna turn this on now,” Eddie taps the base of the plug, sending shockwaves through Steve’s nerves. “And you’re gonna get to have every setting. Or did you already do every setting?”
“No, sir,” Steve whispers, voice broken. “Just two.”
Eddie nods. “Then I think I’ll have to get two more out of you before we can stop.”
Steve whines. He’s already sore. His cock is trying to get hard again, and he can feel every shift of the plug inside him. He doesn’t even think he could have two more orgasms if Eddie turned the vibrator on the highest setting.
He thinks he might pass out.
“Color?” Eddie asks.
It doesn’t quite break the moment, but it does make Steve focus on his face.
He looks concerned, but he also looks like he’s in awe. He always kind of looks at Steve like that, like he’s amazing him just by existing, just by the noises he makes and the curve of his body.
“Green.”
Eddie kisses the corner of his mouth before he slaps his other cheek.
Steve groans and turns his face away reflexively, but Eddie grabs his jaw and makes him turn to look up at him.
“I wanna see those cheeks get red, baby. Makes your eyes so bright when you cry,” Eddie slaps him again, but Steve’s starting to feel numb. “Just like that. You know why I wanted you to wait for me?”
Steve shook his head.
“Because I know how to make everything good for you. You didn’t even tease yourself a little, did you?” Eddie clicks his tongue against his teeth. “How am I supposed to knock you up if you try to do everything yourself?”
Steve’s cock pulses between them.
“Please. Please, sir.”
“Please, please sir,” Eddie mocks him, leaning down to grip his jaw tight. “Please what?”
“Please fuck me,” Steve tries to say with his mouth forced open.
“Oh, I’m gonna. But what else?” Eddie moves his hand down to Steve’s throat, resting there as a threat, the kind that makes Steve’s eyes roll back in his head. “What did you beg me to do to you on the phone the other night?”
“Wanna be full of you,” Steve continues, trying to focus on what Eddie’s asking.
“Yeah, gonna fill you up so good. Gotta make sure it takes, right?”
Steve nods. “Wanna have your baby.”
Eddie grins down at him as he turns the vibrator on.
He bumps it up to two immediately and Steve thinks this is a different two than the one he had on before he fell asleep. It’s sharp and too much immediately, making him squirm under Eddie’s weight. But Eddie doesn’t allow it, which just adds to the jolts of electricity going through his body.
“I’ll give you one, sweetheart. But first, you gotta be my good boy.”
Steve can do that. He can do whatever Eddie needs him to.
Eddie bumps the setting up again and it’s almost unbearable. How does anyone handle the highest setting?
Oh. Oh. It’s warm.
It feels like…
“Gonna come,” Steve warns. “Feels too good.”
“Then come, baby.”
Steve nearly screams through his orgasm and Eddie doesn’t try to quiet him. He laughs as Steve shivers from aftershocks.
He turns it up again and Steve may black out for a second. He squeezes his eyes shut and grits his teeth together and his dick stays hard.
“Too much, too much.”
“It wouldn’t be if you hadn’t started without me.”
It’s probably true, but Steve’s already feeling pretty far gone.
“One more, baby boy. Think you can give me another one?”
Steve nods because he can, he knows he can. He wasn’t sure before, but Eddie’s tone makes him believe he’s capable of anything.
If Eddie tells him to come, he will. If Eddie tells him to suck him while he fucks his mouth, he’ll happily do it.
“Look at you, so sweet. You’re so beautiful when you let me take care of you. Can’t believe you thought you could do this all for yourself,” Eddie wraps his hand around Steve’s cock, barely moving it. Steve curls up and towards Eddie with the touch, whimpering at the firey pleasure piercing his stomach. “You’re mine, Stevie. My hands are the only ones who can make you feel this good, my mouth, my cock, my toy.”
Steve’s chest is heaving as Eddie turns the vibrator up to the highest setting.
Words aren’t happening anymore.
Steve thinks he comes, but he can’t be sure.
He’s tingly and weightless, and he thinks if Eddie gets off of him, he’ll fly away.
The plug is gone and Steve whines at the loss. He tries to shove his own fingers inside himself, wants to keep feeling full, but Eddie slaps his wrist.
“That’s mine. Hands up.”
Steve listens because he decided being good is probably better for getting what he wants. Plus, Eddie’s fingers are inside him, four of them he thinks. It burns a little, but it’s not something Steve can complain about past the noises he’s making.
He wouldn’t anyways, not when he knows what he’s getting next.
Eddie slaps his cock.
Maybe he didn’t know what he was getting. He yelps, his eyes shoot open, and he stares at Eddie in shock.
He’s still hard, but it hurts.
“Color?” Eddie asks again, because this is new, and he always asks when he does something new. Even if they’ve talked about it, even if Steve assured him he would say red if he didn’t like it.
The pain was already gone, replaced with an overwhelming need to come. Eddie’s fingers were pressing against his prostate, making him forget about the slap entirely.
“Green, sir, again.”
“Good boy,” Eddie grins as he slaps his cock again, harder. “You like being slapped around? Like when I make you red all over? Look at your dick, baby.”
Steve does. It’s an angry red, almost purple, and he still has cum leaking from the tip. It twitches against his stomach when Eddie grabs it and rubs his thumb across the soaked slit.
Steve is panting, sure that there’s no way he could handle more.
“Gonna give you what you want now.”
Eddie’s cock is pretty average in length, but it’s thick, and he got it pierced a while back. It drives Steve absolutely crazy.
But four fingers stretched him out enough that Eddie’s cock entering him is just a dull ache.
“There you go, baby. That feel good? You feel full now?” Eddie asks as he lets more of his weight fall on top of Steve. Steve is by far the heavier of the two, but he loves when Eddie surrounds him like this.
But he doesn’t feel full yet. He shakes his head.
“No? What else do you need?” Eddie knows exactly what he needs, and he knows Steve is so far gone that talking is damn near impossible at this point. “You need to suck something? My fingers maybe?”
Steve shakes his head. Maybe next time.
“Need your cum.”
Eddie groans as he starts fucking into Steve faster, making the bedframe hit the wall behind them. They really need to look into getting something to dull the noise. They’ll never be able to do anything when they have guests over at this rate.
“That’s all you need, sweet boy? Just need me to fill you up, put the plug in, make sure nothing leaks out so you can give me a baby?” Eddie is breathless now, stomach and arms tense as he holds himself at the perfect angle to hit the oversensitive bundle of nerves inside Steve.
“Mhm, gonna-” Steve moans. “Gonna give you a baby. All the babies. Ten babies.”
Steve feels Eddie’s warm breath against his neck.
“Ten’s a lot, sweetheart,” he laughs against his neck before placing a gentle kiss over his moles. “You gonna come for me again?”
Steve nods, but he isn’t sure he can. He can barely even feel his cock anymore, so he’s not sure he’s got anything left in the tank.
Eddie moans against his jaw, hips stuttering to a much slower rhythm as he comes. Steve feels the warmth inside him, can already feel it dripping out. He whines at the loss.
“I know, baby,” Eddie wipes at a stray tear as he pulls back, but not out. “Come for me. Let me feel you.”
Steve thinks he comes. He’s pretty sure he passes out, too.
When his eyes open again, Eddie’s holding him, playing with his hair and humming softly. He’s still sweaty, but he doesn’t have any cum dried on him. The plug is snug inside him, holding as much of Eddie inside as possible.
“With me, Stevie?” Eddie whispers. It’s the quietest moment they’ve shared since he woke up to Eddie in bed with him.
“Kinda.”
Eddie’s hand brushes up and down his back, fingers poking gently into his spine.
“Can’t believe you didn’t wait for me.”
“Was nervous,” Steve yawns.
“Is it okay?” Eddie asks.
Steve nods against his chest. “Really okay.”
“You’re gonna be sore later.”
“‘S okay. Feel full.”
“We gonna talk about the ten babies thing?” Eddie asks, not judging, never judging, just curious.
“Gonna give you ten babies. ‘S what I said,” Steve is too tired to stay awake.
“Might be difficult with our current anatomy, but we can give it an honest try,” Eddie is laughing softly as he talks.
“Try again later,” Steve barely mumbles out before he drifts back to sleep.

”Jesus fuck” you gripped onto the sink of the bar bathroom, knuckles turning white as your boyfriend absolutely pounded you from the back. It was halloweekend, and you and Lip had went out barhopping with a few of your friends from university to the Halloween events that were taking place.
“Fuckin told you I wasn’t gonna last the night with this shit” he spanks you again this time, harder, feeling his handprint swell on your skin, the contact causing a yelp to leave your lips. “You fuckin love this shit” he grabbed you by your half up half down ponytail, forcing you to look in the mirror as he absolutely wrecked you.
There was no way you were leaving this bathroom without anyone knowing you were fucked, there was black eyeliner running in thick black streaks down your cheeks, your black lipstick was smudged around your mouth that lip had wiped his carelessly with the back of his flannel sleeve after he noticed that it looked as if he had messily sucked on a lump of charcoal.
“You are just obsessed with bein’ whored out, yea? Love walkin around with your pussy painted in my cum, that’s what you wanted mm?” He wrapped his hand around your throat, pulling you back to him and squeezing your neck lightly to bring that fuzzy floaty feeling it brought.
“I fucking love it” you said, your voice a bit breathy from the way he was holding your neck. The admission brought a cocky smirk to his lips and he chuckled a bit
“That’s my girl, that’s my good fuckin’ whore” he tightened his hand around your neck and quickened the pace of his thrusts. The sound of skin against skin was heard throughout the single genderless bathroom, your hips rutting against the counter with each thrust that would probably leave you with bruises tomorrow morning.
Your mind was nearly numb with pleasure, little squeaks you couldn’t contain leaving your lips with each snap of his hips. “God- I’m fucking cumming - lip-lipliplip” you ramble out and thankfully for the bumping music playing throughout the bar- no one would be able to hear you.
“Thaaaas it. That’s it babygirl- cum on my cock that’s it- fuck- clench sound m’fuck cock like that” he said his voice hot, desperate. You nearly went weak as your orgasm washed over you, arms shaking as you tried to support yourself on the sink.
“Good - fuckin- girl- shiiiiiit” he accentuated each word with a harsh snap of his hips, causing you to gush around his cock and he groaned. “Love that- so fuckin hot shit” he grunted as he wrapped his strong arms against you and kissed the back of your neck chastely as he buried himself all the way to the hilt as you clench and contract around him, his breath quivering.
“F-fuck lip fuck- fuck- so fucking thick” you whined out, turning your face to the side to capture him in a hot wanting kiss as he continued to fuck you from behind. He kissed your lips feverishly, thrusting out of you more frantically which told you he was getting close.
You moved his hand from your hip to your bare breasts that you’d pulled out so he could play with them as he fucked you, and he whimpers hotly against your lips, his breath warm before he captured you in another kiss to mask a whine that escaped him as you roll your hips back to meet his.
“Gonna give me one fuckin more ‘fore I cum, Tha’s the fuckin rules” he said hotly against your lips. Your arousal made the slapping of skin on skin much louder, strings of arousal coating your ass and his hips. He pulled you flush against him, thrusting up right into your g spot as he bit down on your neck in such a way that made your head spin. “I know you need it- hear how fuckin wet you are?” He thrusted harder “how easy it is for my cock to slip in and outta you? Like you were made f’me?” He sucked on your earlobe gently, before biting and tugging at it.
His grip tightening around your throat and his mixed pleas of “give it t’me, fuckin give it t’me, I earned it, let go princess- gimme y’r fuckin cum” were what caused your undoing. He knew you would be loud by the way your hips shuddered and you squirted around his cock, which is why he covered your mouth with his hand so you could scream into it and it was just a muffled moan.
“That’s it that’s my good fuckin girl” he grunted, reaching his hand down from your mouth and grabbing some of the slick with his fingers. When he brought them back up, they were glistening with your arousal and he admired them for a moment before sticking them in his mouth, his eyes fluttering shut in bliss and moaning as he sucked them clean.
The taste was his undoing, he grunted hotly as he buried himself to the hilt and his cock twitched as he released a hot large load into you. You watched him in the mirror in awe, his face red and sweaty from the encounter, his middle and forefingers hanging out of his lips like the most sinful thing you’d ever seen.
“Holy fuck” you whimpered, feeling the warmth fill you to the brim. He hummed at the taste, pulling the digits out of his mouth with a wet pop and looking at you in the mirror.
“Well someone’s a mess. In more ways then one huh? What m’I gonna do with you” he teased, grabbing your breasts
“Tits out” he squeezes them together, pinching your nipples lightly “all this black shit all over y’face” he grabbed your chin, forcing you to look yourself in the mirror. He thumbed away a smear of black lipstick and kissed your forehead.
“Hairs all fucked out too. Mm?” He fixed your dress, pulling it up over your breasts before pulling out of you and you whimpered at the empty feeling, before the warmth began dripping down your leg and he smeared his cum on the inside of your thigh.
“Gonna leave that masterpiece though”

Covering the Classics Part 2 | Bob Floyd x OC
Summary: Anna knows her new coworkers want her to meet their friend Bob. But she's too hesitant, afraid to get herself in a situation where she's pining after someone new. During a spur of the moment shopping trip, Bob is delighted to bump into a woman he can only describe as adorable. Too bad he's never been great at the follow through.
Warnings: Fluff, angst, adult language, eventually 18+
Length: 3600 words
Pairing: Robert "Bob" Floyd x Female OC (this story is part of the Beer Boy/Sugar and Jake/Jessica universe)

By the end of her first week teaching, Anna had learned many things, almost like she was a student herself. That nice, secluded ladies' restroom she found was secluded because one of the toilets regularly overflowed. The coffee in the teacher's lounge was actually disgusting, but the donuts were available every day. And Dr. Pham from the sociology department asked her out three times on Thursday, apparently because she wore her hair in two braids like Princess Anna from Frozen, a mistake she wouldn't be making again.
And she was so tired. She started to lose her voice on Friday morning from how much she had to talk in her lectures. She took the wrong notes to class with her and had to improvise an hour long class on Emily Dickinson, because she was too afraid to give one of her students the keys to her office door. So she sweated it out, but managed to sound somewhat coherent as she dismissed her class at noon.
She pressed her lips together. If she ran to get her sandwich and peanuts really quickly, she could join her new friends by the weird tree. After two days of joining them for lunch, she really liked both of them. She just didn't want to get their hopes up about their friend Bob whom she was supposedly perfect for.
Anna wasn't perfect for anybody. And frankly this Bob guy sounded like a dreamboat, which just made it worse. He'd probably laugh after taking one look at her, and if she opened her mouth and tried to talk to him, he'd run away scared. She already turned down their invitation to go to the Navy hangout bar on Saturday night, citing that she was too exhausted. But it was really because she needed to stand firm with herself and do everything she could to protect her feelings from now on.
After another few seconds of contemplation, she went to her office and got her lunch before heading to the quad. But today it was just Jessica there eating lasagna and garlic bread from a plastic container while Anna's stomach growled in jealousy.
"Hi," she greeted after she chewed up a bite of her perfect looking lunch. "It's just us today. Dr. Rosenthal apparently had a bunch of questions about the math curriculum and took Advanced Calculus out for a long working lunch at Covewood."
Anna had barely been in the city for more than two weeks, but even she had heard of Covewood. "That's a five star restaurant. A romantic date night hot spot."
"Mmhmm," Jessica agreed as she sunk her perfect teeth into the garlic bread.
Anna realized her own experience was fueling her next sentences, but she said them anyway. "Isn't she married? Her husband is okay with that?" she asked softly.
Advanced Physics burst into laughter. "Bradley loves Dr. Rosenthal. He's in his seventies, and he's one of the sweetest people at the school. They have him over for dinner sometimes. He actually did my tenure review."
"Oh," Anna replied, embarrassed that she could hardly relate to someone who trusted their spouse. "That actually sounds really nice."
"Hey, are you sure you don't want to come out tomorrow night? No pressure. I just think you'd have a fun time. The guys are all sweethearts."
Anna looked down at herself and her sad sandwich. She didn't even have money to spare for a beer that she would probably drink half of before she wanted to leave. And it didn't matter if the guys were sweet, she knew her two new friends would be champing at the bit to see how she and this Bob person interacted. "Not this weekend," she replied. "Maybe another night."
Instead of socializing, she spent her Saturday window shopping in North Park. She had a budget of exactly zero dollars, but she could entertain herself for hours this way. She gasped when she found a two story bookshop that claimed it contained new and used and rare finds, and she ran across the street to get to it.
It was darker and quieter inside than the sunlit, traffic filled streets, and when Anna took a deep breath, it reminded her of a cozy library. The clerk behind the register waved instead of speaking, so really, it just kept getting better. When she noticed the wooden sign on the wall informing her that The Classics were upstairs, she made her way up the creaky steps to a loft area with row after row of tall shelves.
"Perfect," she muttered, walking to the end of the open space and turning down the last tight row of bookshelves. She wasn't alone, but the only other occupant was a tall, slim man with broad shoulders and tidy, sandy colored hair. He seemed to be so absorbed by what he was reading, he didn't look up when Anna reached for an enormous copy of Shakespeare plays.
She almost moaned out loud; it was annotated and contained every play she had to teach in her Thursday morning English 300 class. It was well worn, and the cover felt nice in her hands. Shit. Of course it was seventy bucks. That was more than she spent on groceries last week. Maybe she could expense it to the department? She should probably know how to do that. Maybe she could text one of her new friends and ask if that was allowed.
But she slid the book back into place as a Vonnegut she didn't yet own caught her eye. She reached out for it with a steady hand, but as soon as her fingertips met the spine, a much larger hand, complete with graceful yet calloused fingers, wrapped around hers. Everything suddenly smelled clean like soap and also intriguingly like tea leaves. And then she heard a voice next to her ear that made her bite down on her lip as a ripple of pleasure teased her spine.
"Oh. I'm so sorry."
--------------------------
Bob had never been to this store before, and he wasn't really planning on stopping by today, but Mickey dragged him in and then ditched him for the children's section at the back of the store. Bob looked around downstairs, but as a poetry fan, he found that section to be seriously lacking, so he headed up to the loft instead.
He considered himself well-read until he realized how many classic novels he'd never even heard of before. And they all sounded really depressing. Which was kind of the point, he supposed, but if he was going to get something new to read, he was in the mood for a more upbeat story. Maybe a romance or a European adventure he could get lost in. Maybe a sweeping, romantic tale where the nice guy gets the girl for once.
After several tries, he still wasn't finding anything close to what he was hoping for. As he re-shevled The Bell Jar, he decided to just reach for a book at random. Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut? Maybe that would be more his speed. But when he reached for it, his fingers wrapped around a soft hand complete with glossy, burgundy fingernails instead of the actual book. He jumped an inch in the air, because he hadn't even been aware anyone else was in the aisle with him, let alone a woman who smelled like sweet perfume.
"Oh. I'm so sorry," he stammered, already mortified. Then she turned to look at him over her shoulder, and he wanted to jump off the loft railing and run out the shop door. There was only one word to accurately describe her: adorable. She had dark red hair done up in a messy braid, big brown eyes, and a smattering of freckles across her nose. "Oh."
"It's okay," she replied softly as she tried to hand him the book. "You can have it."
He shook his head, completely distracted, as he kept finding more things about her face that he liked. A grin curled along his lips as he said, "No, it's all yours. Really. I was just looking for something new to read."
She glanced down at the cover and then back at his face, and maybe he was imagining things, but it looked like she was blushing a bit. "Wow. I wasn't really expecting anyone else to be interested in reading a sarcastic take on global destruction on a sunny Saturday afternoon."
His eyebrows shot up. "Is that what it's about?"
Her laughter was also adorable. "Yeah, I mean... it's Vonnegut," she said with a bit of an eye roll. Oh no. She knew what she was talking about, and he kind of didn't. He was probably about to sound like an idiot.
Bob cleared his throat and pointed at a random spine to buy himself time. "What's this one about?"
She cocked her head slightly to the side and said, "Two murders and a kidnapping."
"Oh," he said with a little laugh. "No thanks. How about this one?"
He wasn't even looking at the books now at all, preferring to watch her facial expression change as she checked another title. "Oh, that one's good. Also about murder."
He chuckled and pointed at another. "This one?"
She smirked and looked up at him. "Jealousy, rage, hatred, and also a lot of murder."
"Wow," Bob replied with what he was sure was a stupid looking smile. "I was hoping for something a little tamer? Perhaps less murder-y? Maybe I should go down and look in the children's section?" He jerked his thumb over his shoulder and listened to her laugh again.
"I could recommend a few books with little to no murder. Maybe even a happy ending," she told him, and he watched as she pushed her braid over her shoulder.
"I'll believe it when I see it," he said as he crossed his arms over his chest. To his shock and amazement, her gaze followed his movement, and her blush returned.
When her tongue darted out between her lips, Bob could feel his heart beating in his temples. Her brown eyes drifted back up to his face, and he wondered if this was how Jake or Bradley used to feel when girls paid attention to them at the bar. It was decidedly really exciting.
He was going to be bold like his friends. He was going to ask her for her number. Maybe he'd see if she wanted to help him shop for some books, and he could buy her that horrible Vonnegut that she wanted, and then he'd ask her very nicely for her number.
"Floyd!"
Bob watched you jump as Mickey's voice echoed through the store.
"Floyd! Let's go!"
"S-Sorry," Bob muttered, stepping past her and heading for the loft railing. "Just... hang on for one second?"
As soon as Mickey looked up and saw him, he said, "We gotta go, man. I got some books for my nephews, but we'll be late to grab a drink before D&D if we don't leave now. You know how she gets when we're late." He was shaking a bag of books and heading for the door.
Bob did know for a fact that Jessica got annoyed when they showed up late because they got hungry or distracted on the way to The Hard Deck. "Just give me a minute," he told Mickey, but he was already outside.
He swiped his sweaty palms on his jeans and turned around to find the aisle empty. Oh no. He checked the next row of shelves, and the next, and the next, until he got all the way to the stairs, but the adorable redhead was nowhere to be found. And he had no idea what her name was.
"Hello?" he called out softly, checking each aisle again until he was back where he started. Bob might have believed that he imagined the whole entire exchange with an attractive woman, except that there was one book propped up against the others right where he and she had been standing.
"A Room With a View by E. M. Forster," he mumbled as he picked it up and turned it over in his hands. He glanced around again, but she was well and truly gone, leaving nothing except for what seemed like a book recommendation.
"Floyd!"
Bob sighed and tipped his head back in frustration. "Coming!"
He descended the stairs slowly, head swiveling in every direction, searching for brown eyes and a braid while he held the book. Gone. He paid for A Room With a View and headed outside to find Mickey looking quite annoyed. What he didn't see was the mystery girl watching him from the far end of the loft.
-----------------------
"She was real," Bob insisted as he held his glass of ginger ale a little tighter. "Just because you were too busy yelling doesn't mean I made her up in my mind. She had red hair and brown eyes."
Mickey gave him a skeptical look. "That's actually a really rare combination. And I know for a fact you happen to have an excellent imagination, my friend."
Bob cradled his forehead in his hand. "Why didn't I ask for her name and number?" Then he paused. "You know what? It doesn't even matter. There's no way she would have agreed to give it to me."
He thought about the book he bought sitting on the front seat of his truck next to his dice bag and character sheet, and he considered just going home for the night. Maybe he could start to read the book. Maybe he'd feel like writing.
Then he felt an arm slip around his waist. "Hi, Jessica," he said as he blushed when he looked down at Jake's petite girlfriend. A second later, Bradley's wife was next to him as well, and Bob realized they were wearing matching smirks.
"Hey, Bob," Jessica replied, giving him a little squeeze. "We were just wondering if you happened to like redheads."
Mickey snickered before he tipped his beer bottle back and finished the drink. "He loves them. Daydreams about them."
Bob shot him a withering look. "She was real."
"Who was real?" Bradley's wife asked as her husband came up behind her and set his chin on her shoulder. Great, now he was going to have a full audience of people informed about his embarrassing afternoon of not even knowing how to ask a woman what her name was.
"There was a cute girl at the bookstore in North Park earlier," he muttered. "She had red hair, and I fumbled the ball."
Bradley chuckled. "You know what your problem is, right? You're too nice. Sugar met me when I was an absolute fuckboy, and she fell hard."
"I've been having a decade long lapse of judgement," she replied, and Bradley kissed her neck. "Don't listen to him, Bob. Girls love nice guys."
But Bob knew they didn't. Even the woman from the bookstore dodged him after approximately five minutes of flirting. If you could even call that flirting. He finished his ginger ale, and said, "We need to go. It's almost time for D&D. I'll drive."
Mickey nodded and said, "I'm ready." He could probably tell Bob had reached his limit with this conversation. His friend may be an extrovert to the extreme, but he was good at recognizing when Bob needed a break.
Jessica nodded as well and patted him on the chest before she pranced off into Jake's open arms. They shared the most adorable looking kisses before Jake straightened out her glasses and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Have her home by midnight, Bob!" he called as he released her.
Bob nodded wishing there was someone besides the elderly woman who lived in the duplex next to him that cared if he was out past midnight or not. Even though he always looked forward to playing Dungeons & Dragons, he kind of wanted to head home and call it an early night. Nothing sounded as good as sending an email to Nat before reading his new book. But he would wait until later, and maybe he would even be in the mood to get his laptop out.
-----------------------
Anna went back to her studio apartment empty handed. Well, that wasn't quite true. She didn't buy any books, but she did splurge on a six dollar bottle of wine which would probably taste disgusting. She just hoped it would help her sleep through the night after reading some sad poetry and eating a piece of toast for dinner.
That guy from the bookstore was going to linger in her mind for a long time whether she wanted him to or not. She was more attracted to him after five minutes in his presence than she was to Kevin at any point in the past five years. And if she was going to start thinking about Kevin, she was probably going to cry.
The toast was good, but the wine was bad. And she did cry a little bit. She was never going to get attached to the idea of being in a relationship ever again. She was never going to have herself that level of intimacy just to have it ripped away. She wouldn't allow it. Relying on herself would have to be enough. Handsome strangers with muscular, veiny arms and cute glasses who made her laugh were not part of the plan. That's why she ducked behind the end cap after she left him a book she thought he might like. She watched him buy it for himself, which left her almost breathless. If she allowed herself to, she could picture him sitting in a coffee shop sipping some tea and reading that book.
"Enough," she whispered, vision a little sloppy from the wine. She opened up the website called PoetsAmongUs, read a bookmarked collection about how good it would feel to be loved completely, and passed out.
The realization that she was going to have to spend all of Sunday afternoon getting ready for the week was made slightly easier by the fact that she only had four hundred square feet of space to clean. And then she thought about the beautiful home she once had in New Jersey, and she had to finish the bottle of wine to help her get through her notes on The Great Gatsby.
She was still thinking about that hot guy with the glasses on Monday when she grabbed a donut from the teacher's lounge. Indulging in a little fantasy here and there about being loved and cared for wouldn't be so bad. And putting his face to it just made it even sexier. When she wasn't teaching, she let her mind wander to some possibilities that would never happen again. Pretty eyes, lean muscles, soft looking hair, pink cheeks. He probably had nice friends, too. He probably never cheated on anything in his life.
"Hey, Anna? Are you alright?"
She looked up from her bag of peanuts and realized she'd been so deep in thought, she wasn't paying attention to the lunch conversation. "I'm sorry," she replied, fighting the urge to groan. She wasn't very good at this stuff and should have probably just eaten lunch in her office like she did the past few days. The fact that it was Wednesday and she was still distracted was concerning to her.
"Don't apologize. You just seem lost in thought," said Jessica as she ate another perfect looking lunch.
"Do you want some chips and hummus? Bradley packed me too much food today," her other friend said. And of course he did, because he sounded like a damn dream.
Anna ate a few chips and sighed. "Have either of you ever had your heart smashed to bits?" She didn't really mean to say that out loud, but now that she had, she was met with an awkward silence that she wanted to run away from.
"Yeah," Advanced Calculus replied softly. "And I did it to myself."
"Not my heart as much as my hopes and dreams," Advanced Physics added. "But for me, I think that was much worse."
Now the silence that followed wasn't quite as painful, but Anna was still a little embarrassed. "Yeah. All of the above." She cleared her throat and tried to think of something else to talk about, but her mind was still on the bookstore. "Hey, why didn't you tell me that San Diego is full of hot guys? They are literally everywhere. I went window shopping in North Park and got sucked into a bookstore, and I bumped into a guy with glasses who smelled so nice."
"Ohhh, what did he look like?"
Anna sighed. "You know how you can just tell a guy is really strong even though he doesn't have bulging muscles?"
"Mmhmm."
"He was like that." Anna bit into her sandwich and chewed it slowly. "Pretty eyes, kind of the color of a lake. Sandy hair. Wire glasses. Soft spoken. He smelled like a cup of tea."
A few seconds later, she was snapped back from her drifting thoughts as Advanced Calculus asked, "Did you say this was at a bookstore in North Park?"
"Yes," Anna replied with a nod.
"Did you get his name?" Advanced Physics asked.
"No," she answered, still embarrassed over the fact that she hid from him.
And then she thought she was going to get whiplash again.
"Was he about six feet tall?"
"Was he slim but not skinny?"
"Did he blush when he smiled?"
"Will you please come to the Hard Deck this weekend?"

“Sorry!”
You were bumped hard from behind and you turned around to find a very apologetic-looking woman pushing a large cart.
“It’s alright, love,” you assured her.
As she continued past you, you took a moment to look around you. It was a lot to take in. People bustling about, equipment being moved, other people just arriving.
They had already begun to set up for the event taking place the next day. You had just gotten here yourself. You took a deep breath, feeling the lanyard around your neck between your fingers.
Every year, London held a huge comedy event and you were lucky enough to be invited this year. You were staying in a hotel room above the place but you hadn’t seen it yet.
The man at the window had told you to come straight backstage of venue so you could be given a tour before you settled in. Truthfully you just wanted to rest after the day or travel you’d had—you didn’t live to far from the city, but still. You felt for the performers who were coming from out of the country.
“When do you think they’ll start this bloody tour?” You mumbled to yourself “I’m starving.”
You looked around you. It looked like many of the performers were already here. It was quite crowded. You saw many people standing together—group acts—and a couple of solo ones—like yourself.
You were a pretty big local actor—The Times’ words, not yours—and you had dabbled in comedy for the past few years. You were excited to finally show off that side of your skill set here.
Finally, a woman a few yards away from you called out, “Alright, if I could get all of the performers in tomorrow’s show over here. We’re going to go ahead and get started.”
You walked to where she had pointed and joined the rest of the people waiting.
“If everyone could follow me—” The woman started, but she was interrupted by the double doors at the back of the room bursting open.
A large group of people came rushing in to a chorus of “Were here! We’re not late! Don’t start without us! I told Ian we shouldn’t have taken the Underground!”
You covered your mouth to suppress a laugh. The woman in charge, however, didn’t look as pleased. She walked over to meet them slowly, fixing them with a glare.
“I’m assuming you’re Smosh?” She asked the group.
A few murmurs went trough the room. Smosh? You heard people mutter.
“What’s Smosh?” You asked a woman next to you. She couldn’t have been younger than 75.
“Oh they’re a hoot, darling, you’ll see,” was all she said.
From listening to the people around you, you gathered that they were an American YouTube comedy group that was also participating in this event.
You watched as they got checked in and as you scanned over them, your eye caught on a man standing towards the back. He was leaning towards the person next to him, hands in his pockets, presumably making a joke based off of the reaction by the other.
Then all of a sudden he looked your way and your eyes snapped back to your hands in front of you. You felt your cheeks warm at getting caught staring. But blimey he was bloody gorgeous!
Eventually Smosh made their way over to where you were standing and the woman, looking more stressed and disgruntled than ever, addressed the group.
“Right,” she’d said, looking pointedly at the late-arrivers. “Now that we’re all here, let’s get this done with, alright?”
She began leading you on her tour. You were glad to finally get started.
“How about all these British people?” A voice to your left said.
You turned to find the man you’d been watching earlier, leaning towards you conspiratorially. When you didn’t say anything, he continued.
“They’ve all got their knickers in a twist, eh?” He said in a mock-English accent.
You raised an eyebrow at him.
“Oh god, you’re one of the British people aren’t you?” He said, eyes wide.
You smiled, amused. “I’m afraid so. Although my knickers are perfectly fine, thank you.”
His eyes widened even more when he heard your accent. “Well then, I think I must’ve set some record because I’ve only been in your country for two hours and I’ve already insulted three locals.”
“Three?” You questioned.
“Tried this same bit at airport security,” he confessed. “They were less pleased. Remind me never to show them our Gentleman’s videos. Called me a wanker, which I’m assuming is not good.”
You giggled. “Not quite. So I hear you’re a comedian?”
“Can you write my next resume?” He joked. “But yeah, I do comedy stuff. And other stuff. We’re on YouTube—all of us at Smosh.”
He gestured to the dozen or so other people with him. None of them looked your way though.
“And I'm assuming you’re not just here to cater?” He asked you.
“No, I’m one of the performers,” you answered. “But a pastry does sound lovely right about now.”
A moment of silence passed and you listened to the woman at the front talk about the history of the building.
“I’m Spencer, by the way,” the man said. “Spencer Agnew.”
You shook his hand. “(Y/n). (Y/n) (Y/l/n).”
“That’s so normal,” Spencer acknowledged. “I was expecting something more British.”
“More British?” You repeated.
“Yeah, I don’t know, like something from Downton Abbey. Dowager Countess Maryanne whatever.”
“I don’t think you’ve ever seen that show,” you teased. “And you are aware that it’s the 21st century?”
“Already? How long have I been in this building?”
You laughed again. He was charming, Spencer. You were so engrossed in talking to him that you were hardly paying attention to the tour.
“Hey, what are you doing after this?” Spencer whispered, glancing at the woman giving the tour, probably hoping she didn’t notice him not paying attention.
Going back to my hotel room, getting some rest and ordering room service, was what you meant to say. What came out was—
“Nothing. I’m not doing anything.”
You didn’t know what made you say it. You just knew you wanted to spend more time with Spencer.
“Me neither,” Spencer said flippantly and you felt your cheeks flame at assuming he wanted to do something with you. Then he cracked a smile. “I’m just kidding. You wanna grab a bite to eat? I’d go myself but I don’t know any of the good spots.”
“That sounds brilliant, I’m starving.” You nodded.
“Great. And maybe afterwards you can show me around the city, make sure I don’t offend anyone else.”
“It’s a date,” you said. “Anything to stop you ruffling more feathers.”
Spencer smiled brightly at you and you couldn’t help but beam back. You couldn’t wait for your date with Spencer. Even though you had just met him, you were already more excited about an afternoon with him than the actual comedy event.
“Hey, I can’t be doing that bad,” Spencer joked. “I did convince the most attractive person in here to go out with me.”
“Stop it,” you teased, batting his arm. He looked down at where you had touched him.
“It’s true,” he said, looking shy all of a sudden. “If this is what all British people look like, I’m staying in this country forever.”
“You’re not half bad yourself,” you told him, hoping he didn’t see your cheeks flush.
“Very encouraging,” Spencer said. “But I better join my people before they think they lost me. Again. I’ll tell you that story tonight. At eight?”
You nodded. “Perfect. I’m looking forward to it.”
Spencer winked, kissing you lightly on the cheek before backing up. “Later Countess Cute Accent.”
You giggled, watching him turn around and head back to his friends and coworkers.
“Dude,” you heard him say to one of his friends. “I just had a real life, reverse London Boy moment. Taylor said ‘God I love the English’ and I felt that.”
You smiled. You were only thinking of Spencer as you turned back towards the front of the still-moving group. You still felt the ghost of his kiss on your face, and your heart still pounded inside your chest. You couldn’t wait to get to know him better.
“And if you look to your left you’ll see the flying buttresses deigned by the late…”
The guide kept speaking but you weren’t paying attention.
Reverse London Boy huh? You thought. Well then, boy I fancy you.

A Room Full of People

You take a break in the corner of the Last Drop as your friends party the night away on a Tuesday evening.
Note: I've been to so many holiday parties this past week so why not write about it.
Is drinking on a weekday a good idea?
A waiter bumps into you and mumbles an apology, one completely inaudible with the loud bass of the track currently playing. You’re thankful you invested in one of those expensive earplugs all those months ago. For one, the loud music of the bar isn’t aggressively assaulting your ears, its usual invasive sound lulled to a pleasant thrum.
You take a sip of your drink. Your friends deem it absolutely horrendous; who in their right mind would willingly sip on a Jager bomb all night? You like it though, after joking that you take comfort in it since it tastes like the cough syrup you liked when you were a kid—Caitlyn had looked at you in horror when you said this—and you liked the familiarity.
You take a step back to avoid another partygoer making a beeline for the bathroom. You notice your step isn’t as coordinated as you’d like, a familiar weightlessness starting to bloom in your head. You try to count how many shots of tequila you’ve had, plus the first two Jager bombs you had finished off earlier. You have a presentation tomorrow morning.
Maybe drinking on a weekday wasn’t such a good idea, after all.
The Last Drop was packed for a Tuesday, you blame it on the fact that it was the holidays, and people had probably finally had time off of work. The others were all paired up, dancing or talking amongst themselves in the crowd. You yourself were squeezed in with them just a few minutes ago, but your unfortunately minuscule social battery had given up an hour ago, so off to the side you went.
You loved going to the parties, you loved hanging out with your friends, getting absolutely sloshed; having the worst hangover the next day, then rinse and repeat. But most of all, you loved being invited; a small reminder that there were people that cared about you. People that cared enough to want you around them while they made terrible decisions.
You were the introverted one in the group. When you were younger you were quiet, kept to yourself, and avoided events where you would have to talk to people you didn’t know. But eventually, as you grew older, you thought there wouldn’t be much harm in going out with friends and hanging out late into the night and early morning. Humans are social creatures, after all.
You look down at your watch and frown. It was only nine, which means you're only going to progressively get drunker before you all decide to call it a night. Which means an unavoidable hangover in the morning. Definitely not a good idea.
Looking over at your friends, all happily dancing and jumping to the music, you take minute to drink the entire scene in. The thrum of the music, the bass reverberating in your chest, the kick of the drums, as a remix to a familiar song starts to play. The people on the dance floor all cheer before singing along, all of them seemingly catching a second wind and dancing harder. You find yourself starting to nod to the music, the alcohol you've consumed helping you loosen up.
Mylo and Claggor catch sight of you and start waving you over, their own drinks spilling as they do so. You wave them off in response, content in staying in the corner--and avoiding being given shots--and watch the room.
They look like they're about to walk over and pull you into the dance circle they've formed where Ekko is having a dance-off with Vi. But then the chorus of the song picks up and they immediately jump up and pump their arms, and you're left forgotten in your corner.
You continue watching your friends, occasionally sipping your drink. You're just about to head over to the bar and get everyone a few water bottles, when you catch a whiff of a familiar smoky perfume. You remind yourself to ask her what perfume she uses as a pair or arms snakes around your waist, and you feel her rest her head against the back of your shoulder.
She asks you a question, she knows you can't hear it, but asks anyway. You roll your eyes in response, and take out one of your earplugs, the music suddenly becoming ten times louder. She gets on her tip toes, inadvertently pulling you back a bit, leaning next to your ear.
"Now why are you hiding here?" Her words are just a tiny bit slurred as she says this. You snort, and turn around--a little less graceful than you usually are--meeting her expectant, slightly glazed eyes; the lights of the bar giving them a pink shade. Her smile is lopsided, and moves her arms to wrap around your neck. You tilt your head so you can speak a little closer to her ear, she pulls you closer to her.
"Maybe I was just waiting for you here so I could get you to myself."
She grins. "Well I'm here. What now, oh great mastermind?"
Her eyes flit to your lips for a moment, before settling back to yours. There's an expectant look in them, a welcome invitation.
You lean in and close that gap between the two of you. Suddenly the music in the bar is deafened, the only thing flooding your senses is her perfume, her arms around your neck, and the taste of the alcohol on her lips.
Maybe drinking on a weekday isn't such a bad idea, after all.
