I think I knew you’d posted some risqué things but I didn’t know you were once the porn guy? If you are also accepting questions about porn - have you ever had fears or issues with those sorts of photos/videos being out and about impacting your career? I’ve always been told it would be a terrible mistake but I’m always curious to do it anyway.

Also, head shaving fetish videos? I got paid to shave my head for a commercial once but this intrigues me all the more!

I've been the porn guy kind of forever; my first real jobs were doing porn (commissioned art of some stuff that was actually really distressing largely because of the business relationship and nude modeling that was fine) and I've done random fetish stuff and custom videos over the years.

When I first started doing any of that the internet wasn't the way that it is now so it didn't make a difference, by the time it made a difference my career was already dogshit and I'd spent some time working for a feminist magazine that made me use my full legal name on their publication and I got myself a nice collection of howling MRAs to follow me around for the better part of a decade. That was genuinely more professionally damaging than porn has ever ended up being because at least with porn nobody expected me to have my legal name on anything but a release. (It turned out that one of the guys I worked with was fans of one of the MRAs who made an entire video about one of the feminist comics and kept using my name through the whole video so there were like several years where I was trying to be nice to this dude who was pretty awful so that he wouldn't tell this youtuber's audience where I worked. That fucking sucked)

I guess it could come up and it would probably have some pretty bad fallout at work but also there would be other places that I could land; I know several former sex workers in infosec because infosec is a weird space with weird norms and I'm sure I'd land somewhere stable if I had to call in favors. I mean, hell, two of the guys I'd tap for help if I got fired tomorrow work places that host porn where part of their job is making sure that the porn sites get support.

It is definitely something that I would be more concerned about if I were not already relatively toxic as far as employers are concerned. I don't think they'd get as far as being put off by the porn, they already hate the motormouth and the haircut and the eye contact and the labor organizing. (This blog, my current online presence, is not exactly an asset if I'm looking for work, you know? Most employers are not a real big fan of people who talk about abolishing copyright and establishing worker protections - and it's inextricably tied with my legal name because of the feminist magazine that wanted me to leverage my social media presence for their clicks.)

But if it's something you're thinking about and you're not already radioactive it's worthwhile to be cautious. Talk to other porn producers online, read up on it (I've got some stuff written by other people about sex work in the digital age on @safe-for , which is my porn blog, but it's a bit of a scroll to get to it. I had more on my other porn blog, where I also had more porn, but that got deleted. I was really starting to pick up what I was producing online and promoting on tumblr when the porn ban kicked in, then I basically stopped doing pretty much anything SW related when my spouse's health imploded then there was covid and wham bam here we are)

I don't know. If I was starting new at all of this and it was post SESTA/FOSTA would I do it? The internet and its attitudes about porn are VASTLY different now than they were just a few years ago. I would probably be a lot more hesitant now than I was in 2004.

The headshave stuff is fun though, and there's a lot you can do with that that doesn't ping as sex work the same way to a lot of people. There's still SW in the performance for the clients, and in the way they treat you, but it's less of a concern as something that might rear its head and shame your family line in thirty years.

I once had someone pay a five hundred dollars to clip my undercut and shave it down with a razor after. It's good work if you can get it, but it IS work and there may be weird emotional fallout if you're entering a fetish space you're not familiar with (LOTS of degradation in this particular scene; I'm personally okay with that but many many people aren't - if you're uncomfortable being degraded this may not be the kink space for you).

What are your thoughts on the recent chapter?

This is a pretty vague ask but I’m pretty sure I received it yesterday. If not… oops?

I’m actually so excited for the next—that is, the second to last—chapter as someone who was deeply affected by chapters 391-395 and who just loves Toga Himiko in general, so so much. I’ve really grown to love Ochako’s arc too and I’ve come to trust the process here. I didn’t know about everyone freaking out until after I read 428 officials yesterday, and I’m not worried like that. We’ve been in this type of cliffhanger situation multiple times before.

The news that the end of Himiko’s and Ochako’s fight wasn’t recorded hit me hard, just like it hits Ochako, because the world doesn’t get to know who Himiko really is. There’s nothing Ochako could say on her behalf that would compare to actual footage of her pain, anger, joy, love, sorrow, and sacrifice.

…which is to say, Himiko does not serve as a martyr, a tragic, cautionary example. I’ll remind you that that was what the PLF reporter wanted her to be, and she was controlling and patronizing. Let’s think about this as a choice Horikoshi is making, to discard the only ammunition he had to make Himiko into an example and have it be even remotely compelling and satisfying. Boom, gone. There’s no footage. Why?

On the other hand, this is actually an advantageous turn of events if it turns out Himiko survived, because more calculated actions can be taken to keep her safe. I’m starting to see this as a turning point not necessarily for society as a whole, but for the hero profession and its purpose, wherein under Hawks’ leadership the hero commission could become the exact opposite of what it was. It’s no accident that the first half of this chapter is devoted to showing how the next generation and the public were both ~so inspired~ by class A’s actions in a way that mimics the chain of inspiration that motivated class A to begin with. Only this time, Ochako and Izuku are deeply uncomfortable with it! They don’t want this chain reaction to keep going the same way forever. These people look at them and have no idea what they’re actually going through or what they’ve seen. Future heroes who don’t know the real story. That’s very upsetting. Now they are starting to see firsthand how a pattern of collective forgetting is perpetuated. It won’t change until someone like Himiko is actually saved. No bright future without a place for her in it.

I’m excited because this chapter directly confirms Ochako’s awkward, overly cheerful mask for what it is, as it finally starts to crumble. In hindsight, she’s probably done this a lot in the past as well. It casts her whole character in a new light. She and Himiko are so much alike in this way.

I still have high hopes for this storyline because of how much it resonates with me as a queer allegory. Of course, Himiko is also literally queer, but I mean the symbolic stuff about her quirk and her family’s rejection. As a trans person who spent a long time in the closet convincing everyone around me that I was a normal, happy girl, whose pain and rage only festered and grew stronger, who was perceived as selfish and destructive, who was determined to live for myself but still doubted if I had any future at all… I see Himiko’s story as so perfect, so real, that I can’t imagine it ending poorly. And it doesn’t have shit to do with canonizing that ship, either. I’m not worried.

"Y' see, Jake, a lot o' people in this department ain't exactly friendly to others," Sy tells him. "In fact, it can be difficult for me an' Pine to assign anyone to tickets that require interacting with others."

Jake nods, a little nervously. "IT generally doesn't draw the most charismatic people."

"Which is a damn shame because, more and more, it requires some decent people skills," Sy agrees. "That's why Pine an' I were thinking of giving you a promotion." Jake's eyes go wide with shock. "The way things are right now, we assign tickets kinda randomly. We're interested in putting you in charge of the tickets. You'd be takin' on a lot more of the people focused work, the level 1 support, and the others'd be pickin' up more of your programming work. But since we all know workin' with people can be a pain, Pine's made sure to negotiate some more money into our budget for you. If you want the job."

"By 'in charge of tickets' do you mean I'd be taking them all on?"

"No, no, no," Sy assures. "Just that you'd be making them your priority. And you'd be assigning the level 2 and 3 support tickets around the department as you see fit."

"Won't that cut into your work?"

Syverson laughs at that. "Given how much o' my day is puttin' out fires caused by one of ours bein' rude to others in the building, yeah. But that just gives me more time for actually managing y'all, keepin' us up-to-date on projects, security measures and other stuff."

Jake thinks for a moment. "Does this mean I'll also be responsible for Lloyd's complaints about not getting Maestro assigned to his tickets?"

"He has eased up on that," Sy counters. "But yes."

"But this promotion gives me the authority to handle him, right?"

"That's correct."

Jake nods. "I'm in. Thanks so much for this!"

It had taken forever to get the twins to sleep for their afternoon naps. Leia couldn't stop fidgeting, at least until you gave her the Charmander stuffie to hold as you rocked them. But then Luke wanted his Bulbasaur and you ended up with overfull arms. Some days you're surprised your own biceps aren't as big as Jake's!

Jake's performance review was today and you wanted to make sure to cook up his favorite foods. You'd already sent some of his favorite snacks to work with him. You chuckle thinking about how quickly he can down a bottle of Mountain Dew. The bag of gummy worms to go with the meatball sub were, hopefully, a nice surprise for him. Generally all the sweets in the apartment were homemade but you know how much of a comfort gummy worms can be for him.

And after all Jake has done for you, for the twins, how could not comfort him? Be there for him? Jake never once talked down to you. Never made you feel like your hobbies or interests were a waste of time. He always made sure you felt loved and appreciated. You'd been together for so many years but you still giggle like a teenager whenever you think of him. And you know he does the same. Heck, you giggle as you think of him blushing pink and smiling as he thinks about you.

He's been working so hard to make sure you and the twins were provided for. The budget was sometimes tight but Jake made enough and your commissions were a good supplement. It just made sense for your little family to have a stay-at-home parent. Childcare costs for twins could be rough. But you got more creative with recipes, clothing, toys; your families were happy to help with a lot of the baby supplies; all of it resulting in all of you being able to live a nice, modest but incredibly happy life.

As the twins nap you get to work on the 5-cheese mac you know Jake loves. You're positive his performance review will go well, but it doesn't hurt to have a comfort food ready for him when he gets home.

Jake was practically bursting with excitement when he came home. As soon as he walked through the door the twins held out their hands, smiling, "Dada! Dada!" It always made his heart melt that they looked forward to his coming home. He picked them both up and spun, making them squeal with laughter. He takes a deep breath and knows what you're cooking up for dinner, making him smile even more. He's almost tearing up from how loved he feels.

"Dinner's just about ready," you call from the kitchen.

Jake looks to Luke and Leia, "you ready for dinner? Smells like Mama cooked up some really good food for us!" They both start chattering and laughing as Jake dances them over to their highchairs and gets them settled in. He joins you in the kitchen to help you carry things out and greets you with a big kiss.

"I take it the review went well?"

He starts visibly shaking with excitement, "so well! Let's get dinner started and I'll tell you!"

"Tease!" you smile at him as the two of you take things out to the table, making him laugh. Seeing him laugh causes the twins to renew their laughing and your heart warms all the more for it.

You and Jake alternate dishing out the food for yourselves and the twins. Even though it's certainly cooled down, Luke still holds out his spoon of mac and cheese for you to blow on it. Meanwhile Jake is helping to portion control Leia's ketchup for her chicken nuggets. Both of you are certain she'd drink the ketchup if left unattended so you've developed a system of adding a little dollop to each one as she's eating. Sometimes Jake thinks she views it as a game to play and he hopes she never grows out of it.

After the twins are sated a bit, you and Jake can finally dig in to your own plates. Jake gives all the appreciative moans he knows make you smile. It helps that your cooking is genuinely so damn delicious.

"Now will you finally tell me how the review went?"

"I'm getting a promotion!"

You squeal with happiness, causing a chain reaction with the twins. "A promotion! That's so wonderful! So well deserved!"

Jake blushes, "thank you, Sunshine. And it even comes with a pay raise! I think, after a few months, we can start looking at getting a bigger place!"

"Oh, Jakey! That's so wonderful! I really feel like we should celebrate!"

"I can think of a few ways to celebrate," Jake says, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Definitely," you confirm with a giggle as heat rushes to your face. "I'm also thinking we should do a gaming night."

Jake's eyes go wide, "yes, please! Oh that would be so amazing! Not as amazing as you, but still amazing. God I love you so much, Sunshine! You're the best thing to ever happen to me---"

"I feel the same about you, Jakey," you say softly.

New 3 things that happened:

*I got my new ID, my id expired and to renew it I had to get photographed, and since I just opened my bank account a year ago it depends on it so already I was giving up on the idea to keep the account but by miracle a photographer agreed to picture us at home, and it turned to us cuz I wanted all my sibs to have theirs taken with me too and because I had to argue first time to get my ID forever, so i didn't have the energy to keep doing it for the rest of my sibs so now it was the chance. The day of the photographer coming I was shaking with fear and I thought I would never leave the bathroom gotten ill. I fear seeing people more than dyin so I don't know how I held it together, I literally don't remember how it went or how I did, but I recall my sibs looking the same as I felt but it was finally done. parents too taken their shoots and because one needed their passport renewed to renew their id, them alone costing 1k$ and the appointment was set 6 months ahead, we R now close to it anyway, and the thought of how we have to pay to exist some more costly made me think of my worthlessness and helplessness even more, making me ashamed of still living.

*my eye is better, I still see a dark spot looking in a certain direction, getting an eye mask surprisingly helped keeping my eyes less dry cuz they be the most when I wake up and I had the driest time before it got infected and swelled, and already I'm used to the spot and can ignore it..

*I'm still drawing, literally it's making me live love and laugh, I don't care about improving or drawing my best constantly, ai can get poisoned for all I care as it continues to dehumanise the whole point of art-- keeping humanity alive ( btw use glazing ❤️🖤)

I realised that I don't have any physical collection of my art & since I can't look at the screens forever just to browse, nd printing all my stuff isn't feasible, then I came across those mini albums Nd I got the idea to just print one sheet = 9 pics! They look good too for trashy quality, I love it 8' and yes, purple and silver is the 10% obsession to my 90% red and black pallets, thanks to remembering Freeza c'x

But as usual posting my drawings never cease to eat me alive with anxiety, but I think I'm slowly becoming indifferent to it, even if the thought of that no one actually sees my art but me, which is the main case cuz I am living in isolation and being drawing in secret till few recent years because of my conservative surroundings, I feel much calmer when I'm not seen and maybe it's self destructive in a way cuz to stay posting I need to be commissioned cuz net bill, but it became irrelevant cuz I accepted that i can't have the mental capacity to be a social media person or chase anything that I already knew I can't maintain, I had an art block for a year I almost believed that was it for my art drive and me cuz it my sanity— cuz burning out so bad. If my post has a description it was in my drafts for months cuz I plan for every piece I share, but if can't form words I allow myself to let it be captionless, I draw faster than I form words and that's why art is important to me on a personal level, it's my first way of express even if its indirect, the only bit of human Mani left to live in me to put through lines and paint splodges. Even if no one sees it, and to be honest with myself, have very weak chances of being seen on a level that benefits me financially, I'm on the other side of the world, never seen the sky beyond my schooling days, nonverbal irl and know that I can get taken advantage of easily in social manner because it either I don't get the social cues or can't say no..

I'm grateful that at least I got the chance to experience being in a loving nurturing fandom like Sev's that made me experience genuine human goodness and care I never thought possible, made me have some self worth, personality beyond a made for marriage caretaker, and allowed me to get art tools and clothing that I was never allowed or could afford, and many first time small life pleasures like perfumes, food and toys, even if I only recognise 5 or 10 of you dears now, by DP liking my posts- (I suck at remembering names sorry)

I'm also grateful to have a room after endless years of couch and house movings, I have a safe space to still be able to draw and be cool under an AC in this 50° weather..

I think realistically that's the best it can get having spent all my life trying to get anywhere but isolated, and nothing working. At least I'm indifferent and fine of being the caretaker of my disabled guardians and siblings, I need them as much as they need me, even if it caused me the same cycle of mental anguish and earth leavings hehe

Hey Goldy,

Just re-read your post on bts ships and ITS, and I was wondering if you had any thoughts about why Hybe allowed or thought it was a good idea for Jikook to do the travel show? I’m thinking in the round because they haven’t really promoted it on their channels, sold it to Disney and left it, so what was in it for them? How do you think Jikook approached them with it?

I think even if Jikook hadn't approached them with it they would have approached Jikook with it. The chemistry they have is highly and easily marketable and Disney housing them only means more money and autonomy for them.

And guys please watch the shit out of it so Disney knows there's an audience for such content.

You see think of this again as a business, and Jikook are the product. The usual strategy of such businesses is to invest in the product and sell it not to keep the product for ya self and or keep investing in it forever. The eng game is to sell and generate revenue from it.

If jikook are able to pull this off it only means more investors more brand deals and an evergreen content that's gonna make more and more money

Hybe will either use the money from investors they attract to reinvest in it's business and with little costs cos cost of production of the content would have been paid for.

There's so many places in the world they can visit. Which means they need someone to pay for flights accommodations health insurance traveling insurance and so on.

It's a business.

All they need is for jikook to keep jikooking and like Jungkook said for them to learn to be better entertainers and make sure the content they put out is engaging

And I think on that Jimin can make a lot of input. He knows what sells and he knows how to work an audience.

About promoting it, a you have to consider the co nflirt of interest their platform is a competitor you know??? The whole idea is to have people run to Disney and watch Disney. If they showing it in their platform that would defeat the purpose

Two since it's Disney's platform they trying to promote, Disney would have to pay hybe to promote the content on hybe's platform 🥴

The least they can do is to agree to post say highlights every now and then and make a post about it every week

You get that people get paid to post stuff on their own platforms rights??? Hybe is no different. They've amassed a lot of following and traction and they have monetized that traction. If Disney wants them to promote Disney hard they gotta make it rain on them

It's why they "accidentally" post other artists to Army on weverse. It's not an accident they trying to make money off their platform.

These artists join weverse because they hope to tap into Hybe's huge user base.

There's plenty in it for hybe. If jikook is a success they would have to replicate that success or find a way to monetize the other members through units or solo shows like what Jin is doing.

Sope could come up with an idea for a show for example. In such a situation even if they fund the show by themselves and search for investors by themselves or sell the show to disney by themselves, hybe still earns a commission on their earnings as their agent. As their agent hybe earns a commission on allllllllll their earnings regardless of where that earnings come from.

But if hybe also provide the money for their show or find investors for them, (this is extra work done or extra investment) so when all is done hybe can either enter a partnership agreement with Sope to air the show on hybes independent platform like weverse but sope would have to pay hybe for airing it on such platform and also split revenue with them because they are the investors and on top of that hybe still earns a commission as their agency in charge of managing their career.

Or sope can choose to go with a third party platform like Disney instead of weverse and if Disney buys the show sope gets paid and then they have to pay back hybe for that initial investment in their show on top of paying them a commission on their earnings as they are their agent.

Or Sope can get bought out by Netflix or any other such platforms and it would be the same process.

Jikook are not doing this for free and neither are hybe or Disney or Netflix. They have a business relationship between them and everyone gets to take home something

Though I must add that it's not always the case that their shows will be bought by third party platforms. Sometimes they can enter an agreement that benefits both sides or even pay Disney themselves if they want to tap into the audience of Disney rather than Disney tapping theirs.

Welp, sorry for not getting to this yesterday, but I have my own fankid AU!!

It’s called “Khaos Kid,” and this is the first fankid I’ve ever designed across my time on the internet. Say hello to Khaos the Hedgehog! My Sonadow kid!! If you wish to read more about him, his lore will be shown below.

Otherwise, I do like how I made this guy. The first time doing a custom quill design like this was very annoying, and it was the same with color-mapping the shoes. But, I got it done in the end, and I couldn’t be any prouder.

Khaos was born not of a scientific background like sayyy… @/emthimofnight’s Stellar the Hedgehog. But instead of Chaos Energy from the Chaos and Master Emeralds on Angel Island. Why? Well, the Chaos Emeralds are also known as the “miracle gems,” so what would be more of a miracle than the miracle of life?

You see, in this AU, the Chaos Emeralds are…“alive” in some way and from how Sonic has protected them from getting into the wrong hands and using them to save the Earth over and over again, they have deemed Sonic as their protector. Think of it as Knuckles being the protector of the Master Emerald or Blaze with the Sol Emeralds.

Also within this AU, there seems to be an occurrence when someone comes into contact with Chaos Energy. For some reason, it can mess with their genetic makeup in unknown ways. This often leads to, with the victim’s first exposure, to be universally adaptable to mate with any biological being, creating completely healthy hybrids as a result. At least, that seems to be the most common result. And, as you would guess, Sonic has seen the brunt of this radiation-like energy by going Super with all seven of the Chaos Emeralds and using a fake emerald to use Chaos Control (I would count the events of 06 in these examples, but in all intents and purposes, those events got erased from time.)

This all came to ahead when he went against Eggman one last time in Green Hill Zone and defeated him. But sadly, with all cards played, Eggman met a tragic end by the hands of the collapsing machinery of the mech he used and the Eggmobile. Eggman had died, Starline style. Sonic could have saved him, but this couldn’t happen when a sudden pain shot through him from his back that caused him to go into a rolling wipeout just meters away from the wreckage.

What’s wrong with Sonic? Well apparently, Sonic is aging at an accelerated pace compared to the rest of the Sonic cast, but it isn’t enough to notice at a glance. Regardless of which, after this likely final adventure for the blue blur, the Chaos Emeralds realized that Sonic wasn’t going to be in his prime forever and instead of scattering to the winds, fly off to the Master Emerald at Angel Island to create a being that has the intended purpose for protecting these precious gemstones as well as the world.

There was one problem though, even with all this time being with the blue blur, they didn’t have a perfect shot at making what was essentially a genetic clone, so they decided to fill in the gaps with the DNA of the one who used the Emeralds for good the second-most often, Shadow the Hedgehog.

I’ll leave it there as I do have other things like commissions that I payed for to go over stuff like how Khaos got his custom shoes and his relationship with his parents

Chapter Twelve

A year, six months, two weeks, and three days have passed since the incident. You can’t remember your last visit. They all go pretty much the same: examine his unmoving form, wait for him to wake up, try not to feel disappointed when he doesn’t.

In the beginning, you would bring little flowers to leave floating around him. Now, they’re all shriveled and brown. 

The sight strikes you. It’s such a desolate representation of how life has moved on without him. Even you have a new life after all the time that has gone by.

You're on the verge of tears when you hear a voice.

“Why do you look so sad?”

In the midst of the withered flowers, Scaramouche is staring at you with his face scrunched in confusion.

“Lord Scaramouche, you're awake!” you exclaim with a wobbly smile, eyes welling even faster.

“Lord… who?”

“Oh… uh,” you stammer. “Stay put, I’ll get help!”

Your thoughts are racing as you rush out the door. He doesn’t remember anything. What happens if he never recovers his memory? Would that make me his keeper? Could I even bear such responsibility knowing all that I’v– we’ve lost? He has to remember. He has to.

The seemingly youthful archon strokes her chin in thought. “Retrograde amnesia, huh…”

It’s taking everything in you not to descend into hysteria. Just deciding who to ask for help took a good fifteen minutes. Finding Lesser Lord Kusanali took even longer. Now, you’re not even sure she’ll be able to do anything.

Her outburst startles you out of your rumination. “I’ve got it.

“Everything that has ever happened is recorded in Irminsul. We can use the Irminsul to show Scaramouche his past and restore his memories,” she finishes.

Hope stirs in your chest. That doesn’t sound too hard. “So, where do we find this Irminsul?”

“That part is a little more complicated,” she admits. “As the dendro archon, I am an avatar of Irminsul and therefore have constant access to it. I can send him there and bring him back.

She did her best to suppress it, but you still noticed her grimace. “I cannot, however, lead him through Irminsul. I have to remain in Sumeru in order to pull him out of Irminsul, which means someone else would have to guide him.”

Before you even get the chance to volunteer, she shoots you down. “It can’t be you. There are many dangers in Irminsul, dangers that an unskilled fighter wouldn’t be able to overcome.”

Your faces darkened in unison as she said what you were both thinking.

“It has to be the Traveler.”

Everyone knows the Traveler is a member of the Adventurers’ Guild. Some of her most famous conquests started out as commissions given to her by the same Snezhnayan puppet found at every guild headquarters.

“Katheryne, I’m looking for the Traveler.”

She smiles warmly as she always does. “Welcome to the Adventurers’ Guild! Are you interested in commissioning an adventurer?”

“Something like that,” you mutter. “Can you tell the Traveler to meet me at the cafe? Tell her it’s urgent, thanks.”

Before Katheryne can ask for your name or the details of the commission, you’re off to wait at Puspa Cafe. It’s better that she doesn’t know who’s requesting to meet with her anyway.

When the Traveler meets your eyes, it’s clear she wasn’t expecting you. Her eyes are widened and her eyebrows are raised. Everything about her expression tells you she’s thinking, “I thought we were done with this bitch.”

As she and her companion make their way to your table, you quash any uncertainty running through your head. Every hesitation, every shred of reluctance, every ounce of apprehension.

“I know I’m probably the last person you’d like to see,” you start, averting your eyes from her judgemental stare. “But please hear me out.”

 The Traveler’s frown deepens the longer she listens.

“Why should we restore his memories?” Paimon asks with an accusatory tone. “He might try to destroy Teyvat!”

“It’s safer for everyone if he forgets his past,” the Traveler agrees.

Tears prick your eyes and you dig your nails into your fist. “You don’t know him like I do. He won’t cause any trouble.”

Sensing the Traveler’s misgivings, you finally raise your head to meet her eyes.

“Please.”

She stands from her side of the table and turns to you with a dissatisfied look. “Alright, let’s go.”

You jump up from your seat feeling lighter than air. “Thank you so much. I’ll take you to him, he’s in the Sanctuary.”

There’s a spark of hope in your chest as you lead them to Scaramouche. You’re already thinking of all the things you want to tell him, everything he’s missed in the last year and a half.

In the midst of your daydreaming, you hear a whisper that is not quite a whisper.

“Hey, Lumine, are we really gonna help them?”

“It’s okay, Paimon. If anything goes wrong, I can put Scaramouche out of commission. For good this time.”

The spark of hope you felt is extinguished by the fear that strikes your heart.

** POV Switch **

”Who was that girl, Nahida?”

“For a very long time, she was your most loyal companion.”

Shortly after you ran out the door, Lesser Lord Kusanali arrived and she’s been fielding questions since. “Who are you?” “Who am I?” “How did I get here?” That sort of thing.

Scaramouche only stops asking questions when you finally return a few hours later with another girl and a… fairy? Everyone is talking about ‘helping’ him, but he’s not sure what they’re planning or how they’ll accomplish it.

Eventually, their hushed conversation ends and they approach him. His ‘most loyal companion’ hangs back.

“Scaramouche,” the child-like god addresses him. “The Traveler and I are going to help restore your memories, but I need you to do as I say.”

She guides him and the traveler towards the center of the sanctuary and instructs them to sit cross-legged.

“Close your eyes,” she says, and the material world disappears. “Irminsul access granted. Initiating connection procedure.”

When he opens his eyes, everything is tranquil and pink. Then, he turns and meets the Traveler’s eyes to find her glaring at him with suspicion.

She leads him through mazes of information that is simultaneously tangible and intangible, careful not to touch anything particularly luminescent. It takes them what seems like hours to reach their destination, but when they finally do, the giant tree that had been before them is replaced by a traditional dojo.

He sees horrible things in that dojo. His creation, his creator. His ‘mother’ abandoning him. Dottore’s betrayal. His friends dying. His own cruelty.

But he also sees you. He gets to watch you trip over your words when you first meet, offer him sweets every time you baked (even if he said no every time), and sip tea with him in comfortable silence.

“…but if in a year you realize that I’ve stuck by you, you’ll have to take me seriously!”

Wow. It has to have been over a year since she said that, maybe two, he ponders. She really stayed…

Finally, they make it to that fateful day. They end up getting attacked by his past self, which is surreal and kinda creepy. He’s so startled he pulls a vision out of nowhere to destroy himself? I dunno.

Once they’ve broken the mech suit and reclaimed the gnosis, he sees you running toward it. You’re running as fast as you can to catch him, someone so undeserving of your loyalty, companionship, affection. So strong are your feelings, that you earn a vision of your own and use your newfound cryo ability to break his fall.

In all his centuries roaming Teyvat, he has never seen someone care so much for another person. Especially not him. The way you cradle his face in this memory is so tender, so filled with concern. And the way you shield him with your body, knowing Il Dottore could shred your mortal flesh with ease. Your determination and commitment is incredible.

It feels… nice, to be cared for, is his last thought before he’s released from the dream.

** POV Switch **

Their quiet trance was nerve-racking from an outsider’s perspective. At first, you could hear both sides of the conversation but the sanctuary fell silent after Nahida said “initiating connection procedure”. The only sign that anything is even happening is the telltale rapid eye movement that comes with dreaming.

It doesn’t take long for them to wake up. As with most dreams, the perceived duration is much shorter than the actual duration. The 500 years of memories they had relived lasted maybe half an hour in the real world. It was still a really tense half hour, in your defense.

Not once had you taken your eyes off him so when he came to, his immediate eye contact stole your breath. He stood, dusted himself off, and walked over to where you had been observing them from afar.

He offers you a hand. “Congrats on the vision.”

You take his hand gingerly, like you’re not sure if you’re supposed to touch him. “Thank you, my—“

“Don’t call me that,” he cuts you off. “We’ll think of something else.”

Beaming at him, you ask, “Does that mean you won’t be returning to the Fatui?”

“No,“ he said. “I won’t be returning to the Fatui.”

It occurs to you that your relationship with him up until this point was purely a result of working for the Fatui. What will happen now?

“…Does that mean you’ll no longer require my services?” you inquire with a light furrow in your brow.

“No…” He puts his hand to his chin, thoughtfully. “It just means I can’t pay you for them.”

And that smile is back and more brilliant than ever, almost like your boss didn’t just tell you you’d be working for free.

Buck is good under pressure. Always has been. Big emergency at work? He’s got it. He’s cool. Delivering his biological child on the couch? No problem. Climb into the belly of a sinking cruise ship? Fun even! Wedding and senior prom planning overlap while his husband-to-be is out of commission? Fucking nightmare. 

It’s not that anything is hard in isolation. It’s all just checking shit off lists. No biggie. Buck loves lists. He loves clipboards and binders and… Yeah, okay. He can hear his own thoughts. The problem is that Eddie’s got a broken foot and Maddie’s got pre-school volunteer thingy for her youngest, and so Buck somehow thought volunteering to escort Chris and Ainslee in the middle of his own stuff - which again, he’s doing all by himself - was wise. It was not wise. It was the opposite of wise. 

The list of things he has to do for the wedding are as follows:

-Final suit fitting

-Pick up the rings

-Pick up Eddie’s shoes from the leather shoe repair place 

-Pick up Jee’s flower girl dress, because it’s ready, and Maddie and Chim are both busy

-Pick up and drop off Eddie’s surprise at Bobby’s, so Eddie does not find it before the wedding

That last bit is slightly more complicated now, considering Chris will be with him. Speaking of which, he can add picking up Ainslee and driving to the linen rental place to that list. And potentially hauling some linens. He doesn’t actually know. 

Buck schedules it all out. Picks the best route. Makes a mental strategy for getting through this day. He has it all down to the wire and he thinks it’s going to be just fine.

He’s wrong. He’s so fucking wrong. 

It starts with the realization that Eddie doesn’t really intend to take it easy. He’s up even before Buck’s six o’clock alarm, puttering around the fucking kitchen. 

“You have got to go back to bed, Eddie, Jesus,” Buck scolds.

“Couldn’t sleep,” Eddie grumbles as he makes coffee. “Uncomfortable.”

Eddie is a poor sleeper, generally. Minus the broken foot. So this isn’t exactly a shock to Buck. 

“Okay, so go be awake in bed,” Buck suggests. 

“Didn’t want to wake you,” Eddie shrugs.

“Well, there was always the couch, and I’m awake now, so-”

“Buck.”

“I worry!” Buck says. “Can you please just sit down and I will make you breakfast and bring you coffee and… And make sure your foot isn’t totally fucked forever?”

“Because you’re the model of patience when you injure yourself,” Eddie accuses. 

“Well, that’s not the point,” Buck complains. 

Eddie sighs. “Fine. I will go lie down.”

“Good! And I will bring you breakfast in bed.”

Breakfast in bed is not on the schedule. It was going to be a protein bar and to-go coffee while rushing Chris out the door for Buck. But his future-husband’s wellbeing is actually more important than the wedding, believe it or not. So he’ll take the time-bump. Fifteen minutes later, Buck has a plate of eggs and toast and fruit for Eddie, the same being kept warm for Chris, and a spare slice of toast with a fried egg for himself. He scarfs it down before bringing Eddie his meal, then goes to wake Chris. 

Now, he told Chris to set an alarm for twenty after. He was very specific on this matter. He explained the schedule. The importance of the schedule and sticking to it. He was very clear. If something is going to get cut from said schedule, it won’t be anything to do with the wedding. However, despite this, Buck knows Christopher is still a teenager. And teenagers snooze their alarms. Buck sure did. So he expects the alarm will not be followed with due diligence. Which is why he accompanies it with knocking on Chris’ door. 

“Chris? Wake up, man. Breakfast is waiting and we’ve got a tight schedule!” 

He hears a moan of discontent and figures he’s done his job.  

Buck is pretty proud of himself later when they pull out of the driveway only three minutes behind schedule. He thinks they’ll be able to keep that up.

He’s wrong. He’s so wrong. 

The first thing they do is drive to the tailor. Buck has brought his tailor, Rex, a lot of business over the years. For the simple matter, that Buck struggles to fit suits off the rack easily. He’s got long legs and big arms and… And yea. They don’t usually sell ‘em with Buck’s exact dimensions. So he and Rex have a good working relationship. He offers to meet Buck a bit early for the final suit fitting. This all makes the schedule possible to begin with. 

Chris sits in the waiting room texting, probably texting Ainslee, while Buck gets fitted. Buck had given himself an hour for this excursion. Until quarter to nine. Unfortunately, it takes a little longer. It’s closer to nine when they leave Rex’s.Buck tries not to sweat, looking at the clock.

“You’re really intense about the schedule,” Chris observes as they head towards the shoe repair shop, which opens at nine exactly. 

“Yep, well,” Buck says. “There’s a lot to do today. I want to make sure we have time for everything.”

Chris nods. “There’s still a while before the wedding, though.”

“It seems like it,” Buck says. “But not as much as you’d think. Especially since the week of the wedding, family starts arriving and we have to drive to the airport and back a few times.”

“Oh, LAX,” Chris winces.

“Yeah. LAX is right.”

“Your suit looks really nice though,” Chris says. 

Buck smiles at him. “Thanks, bud.”

“I’m not sure if I look very good in mine,” Chris mumbles.

“The suit for the wedding or the suit for prom?” Buck asks, frowning.

i'm trying.

I've been wanting to update you guys on where I'm at for a while, but every time I sit down to do it it just...doesn't come out the way I want it to. But here goes.

I am not in a good place with writing right now. I haven't been for a few months at this point. I WANT to write - I have so many ideas for stories - but the words just don't come to me easily these days. All the fics I've posted so far this year (with one or two exceptions) are ones that I had written in 2023. Very little of it has been fresh off the press content. And while I don't mind that, I do wish I could still be working on new things in the meantime. It's just not happening right now, and I don't know why.

I would love to open free fic requests again, but ohhhh the stress. I may not want to write most of the ones I get, and even if I do, it might take me eons to get to actually writing them. I have so many restrictions in place with my characters that I'll write for, would it put people off? No one has commissioned me in forever; would opening free requests even matter? I've done so many drabble events because it's all I can manage right now - are people burnt out on them? If I did another event would anyone even want to participate? Are my followers bored? Should I be trying harder to get into new fandoms and write for them?

Not to mention the stress of timing. Can I feasibly put out new content in tandem with old content, especially when they're for fandoms I have Primary Universes going for? What about writing for myself? Will I fall back into my old pattern of just doing what other people want or expect?

The thoughts are endless. This is the tip of the iceberg of what's going through my brain these days.

So...do I want to write? YES. Do I want to do free requests again? YESSSS. But will it happen? So far, it's not looking promising.

I'm trying, guys. I'm trying to hang in there and keep creating for you. I want to - it's not that I feel forced to. I just feel like my well has run dry, or that you're getting bored of the same stuff in different ways from me. It's a miserable feeling.

I still love my fandoms - I'm especially back in my MHA era these days - but...I don't know. It's just not coming to me as easily anymore.

But I'm still trying.

Match-Up Commission for @unfinished-projects-galore!

Hi, thank you for the matchup request! Just a reminder, matchups are commissions on my blog!

Hm, out of the characters I feel like a lot of people could be good matches, but here’s the two I chose for you...

HxH — Feitan

Surprisingly, he’s quite an artsy guy (he was actually reading an artbook in one of the Yorknew scenes). While yes they usually come in brutal or unconventional forms, he does have an appreciation for them, perhaps that’s one reason why he got so close to Chrollo too. Either way, if you happen to be into painting or drawing, he’ll likely be drawn to you from the start. He isn’t much of a reader but he likes artworks a lot, the weirder or darker they are the better for him. But if you like to make wholesome illustrations he does have a soft spot for them too, so really the limit is the sky haha. He won’t be able to outright say that he likes your work since he’s so emotionally constipated, but he will definitely be watching you do your work from afar. He probably doesn’t really care too much about your schoolwork since he isn’t really into academics, so whether or not you study for exams isn’t his business.

Speaking of which, he probably looks for people who are independent or are able to be by themselves for long periods of time. He can’t stand people who depend on others for too many things, almost like they’re not able to function without the other. Because of this, he likes that while you do give him some time you also let him do his own stuff. If you aren’t part of the troupe, this will be even more important because he a) doesn’t want you to get hurt if you follow the troupe around and b) he knows he can’t always be there for you because of troupe operations. He’ll check up on you from time to time because while he hates admitting it, he does like hearing your voice. Expect random calls from him at like 2am or 6pm, it really doesn’t matter when he’ll just pick up his phone and call you haha.

Another thing you two share is liking to be in smaller groups or by yourselves. He feels safe around the troupe even though they’re a big group because he’s known them forever, but if he’s supposed to survive in a room with more than four people he doesn’t know, he’d rather kill them. He values the strong, intimate connections people make when in smaller or 1-to-1 relationships, so you two won’t have a problem there. He likes spending time with you without a lot of people around since it helps him feel like there’s some privacy in the relationship. He doesn’t like knowing others are peering into his private life that much.

Speaking of privacy, he will want to keep things like PDA to a minimum. He loves you yes but he also doesn’t want people snooping into his private life. Because of that, the most PDA he will do outside is pull you closer to him if he thinks you were about to get hurt but that’s it. Hand-holding? Maybe if you’re lucky and only the troupe’s around, but no hugging and definitely no kissing is to be done when others are able to see you two. He’s surprisingly soft when it comes to physical affection, maybe he’s scared to break one of your bones. He also values time spent with you. He doesn’t see himself as a good gift-giver because he tends to think gifts = practical things one might need, so you might not get a fancy dress or new shoes for example. However, he does think that spending time with you is important, so he’ll go out of his way to make as much time available as he can with his busy schedule. If Phinks starts asking him where he goes half of the time Feitan will give him a quick glare but not say anything (he might be blushing slightly).

TWST — Vil

Look, it’s Pomefiore! This bold dorm leader likes you because you two share similar hobbies but also because it’s sort of like an opposites attract moment. He has no issues being in the spotlight, having to converse with fifty new people at once, etc. But at the same time, he wants someone who will give him a bit of calm in his already chaotic life, which is why he values people that might want smaller groups of friends, more intimate relationships, things like that. He sees you as an escape from more or less the harsher world because he can be himself around you without putting on the perfect persona, and because you are chill he’s able to chill out too haha.

I think you two would have all-nighters talking about your favorite books or favorite artworks. He’s a big reader, he just doesn’t have all the time in the world to pick up as many stories as he would want to. Because of this, if you happen to have books you liked that he hasn’t read yet, I think he would appreciate it if you just talked to him about those stories, even stories you want to rant about he would love listening to you. He also is a big film critic, so if you have any films you want to watch, it might be fun seeing it with him. He points out different aspects of the film that you might not have thought about before, but he also likes to just appreciate the movies silently. It might be a good idea to do the classic movie date with him!

Something that might scare people away from Vil would be his cold exterior or his extremely rigid criteria for what is “beautiful.” However, I highly doubt he would actually judge people for looking differently from him or from the conventional beauty standards. If you wear things or style yourself in ways that make you comfortable and in ways that you like, I think that would be good in his eyes. He probably sees beauty as more of a “can you be confident in what you like” or “do you appreciate yourself” more than just “does it look aesthetic.” He will make you do skincare with him if he thinks you would be interested and he might enjoy doing your hair from time to time (he likes experimenting with styles bear with him lol), but in the end he thinks what you do with your fashion is what he’ll support. Now if he thinks what you wore that day was horrendous, he won’t cut corners, but that literally never happens since the only person he thinks has bad fashion is RSA HAHA! I think he would actually like your hairstyle, mainly because it’s so bold in his opinion.

He definitely has no issues with PDA unless fans or snooping news reporters are around. He loves holding your hand, playing with your hair, just sitting next to you. He might honestly be touch-starved because he had to grow up so quickly and be independent for most of his life, so I imagine any form of soft affection would make him flustered. He’s emotionally constipated, so he won’t know how to express he wants you to hug him, expect him to just give you a long stare as if you are able to read his mind. He likes giving affection through quality time the most though, mainly because he never had a lot of connections in his past and values getting to know someone.

Speaking of which, similar to Feitan I think he would want someone who can be independent. He’s extremely busy, which means he doesn’t have all the time in the world to take care of you. He tries to make as much time for you as he can, but in the end he still ends up with way more tasks than he asked for. If you’re able to take care of yourself when he’s not around, he’ll definitely appreciate it and find a way to make up for lost time. He loves you for who you are, and would honestly love every minute he gets to spend with you.

Just a little status update that mentions some medical stuff under the cut.

This gauntlet of sick dad and emergencies expenses is still ongoing since last year, but I’m happy to say the house is almost sold so they can have that money vs the bank taking it. Now they can settle into a RV or the likes. That’s a small blessing as my dad goes into his surgery today. Probably not going to have a foot when he comes out the other end but I really hope this signals the uptick in healing and not him just perpetually hurt and in the ER off and on forever. Been a wild one! Just felt like checking in again with this space since a lot of the folks who reached out to help by buying art came from tumblr. I’m nearing the end of the commission Que I took on to help off set the costs of the emergency but it all got done at a much slower rate then I liked but it’s been an interesting balancing act of making sure I take the time for thing important to me in this haze of- least you lose the ability to do so forever- vibe. And then also truth be told got a lot of grieving done in there for my folks and their situation which made focusing on art hard.

But I feel like in my bones they might finally catch a break even if they have to live without a proper home to get it. They’ll have shelter and it’ll be a frugal situation but it’s not one where my dad is forced to keep working while severely hurt just because if he stopped they’d immediately get steam rolled by debt and bills. He just got full disability which means he can finally drop 2 out of his three jobs. He’ll probably still do small time freelance stuff but I really just wanted him to not be an absurdly on point metaphor for the working class being grinded to dust despite doing everything right outside of not being born rich, having a human body, and having family with medical needs. It’s crazy how if I had my dads job as a young person with no kids and limited bills I’d be doing phenomenally well, but despite my dad grinding his way into a union electrician job- by the time he got it the family had already dealt with one to many surgeries and near death medical bills for it to help. It’s wild and I hate it. You do everything right and break your body for the companies and your still left with a missing foot and a life where your gonna move in with your elderly mom with your family until you can secure a RV. Bah I could go on forever upset about it but the long and short of it is that I want my parents to get the means to just sit on a porch of some kind and REST. Get a dang break. Maybe that’ll happen soon. Dad says they’ll visit me immediately once he’s better and the thought makes me very weepy in a good way. 🥹

At any rate I’m going to do my darnedest to finish my commission que and then get RGs update out the door which I’ve been chipping away at anyways for a for me mental break. Got like 20 pages sketched and postable if in the end I decide to not color them at all. We shall see I’m still excited for that project so I want to do some lighting at the very least but in the end if I need to post just to get the story out I will!

Doll break down below

Hair (Fur type) : Short-Medium 🪼 Embroidered or Separate bangs (piece of fabric that is cut out to be bangs and is not embroidered to the face) : Separate . Why? Bangs are over lapping eyes and due to my personal preference I think this would be better, this choice is dependent on what one personally thinks looks better .🪼 Clothes : I was taking forever due to procrastination and had to post it without jacket . The only item I think would be hard to get is the doll leather jacket since you’d need to either commission for one or spend a bit of time looking for premade ones (haven’t really seen any fake leather clothes for the cotton dolls that aren’t customs as of now personally) . Choker is something you could probably find, doll belts, small animal collars, self made, etc . All have different draw backs . I could give instructions on how to hand make the choker and many other accessories or start adding links to videos that would help with make them but it probably make a separate pinned post for that . Wouldn’t do it unless requested .

I’ve been doing some research on what I want to do next in terms of new drawings for the series (you can see examples when I do multiple of one persons characters) and I’ve been job hunting recently. Unfortunately I’m an anxious person so it’s been hard to find one that would fit and actually have the courage to apply. For this serious going on words I will be sniffing for OC/PCs in other fandoms and even doing some characters from the games of those fandoms. One I was interested in was ‘boyfriend to death’? I haven’t played it myself but I have seen many art of Ren and found him interesting. It’s gory, from my understanding. Or maybe ‘14 days with you’? Want to spice stuff up by looking outside the fandom I started with. Yknow? I’m thinking about going back to people I’ve plushie gunned before to either do their other OCs or redo the ones I’ve done. Some I’m happy with and some I think I could change a bit. Trying not to though since I’m saving those options for my polls for celebration of how many plushies of gunned.

Alright, listen up, folks.

My hours have been reduced to nothing for months now on account of disabilities I'm trying to get treated for, I got a med bill I wasn't expectin' in the mail, and now I'm woefully far from bein' able to pay for my upcoming psychiatrist appointment, which I have to pay for by the 24th of this month. This one is really important because there's a strong probablility this one will be the one to prescribe me some meds that just might enable me to be able to acually take care of myself (read: actually function at all) for the first time in my life. I'm prolly gonna need like $300 to cover the appointment. I ain't askin' y'all to help me for free, however.

I can sew together little pillow monster things. They have zipper mouths and button eyes. They're hand-sewn, from a pet-free home.

This is my oldest (and smallest) example. about 7" wide and tall. The ones I'm proposing to sell will be about 9" wide and tall.

Here are the buttons and (9) zippers I have available for this endeavor. (Sorry about the lighting.) Note the loops on the zipper pulls for easier zipping.

Uhh, those are soda can pull tabs in the corner. Ignore that, I'm procrastinating on working on a project.

In terms of fabric, I have fleece and flannel of various colors. 'S all preshrunk in a washer and dryer, but I don't have a good way to showcase or store fabric other than shoving it all into one plastic bag. That aside, here's the flannel I have:

(Dark blue, light blue, teal, white, space [small amount], and scales [purple, blue, and green scales, small amount])

And here's the fleece:

(Purple, red, orange, and black [small amount])

Note how I have more of some colors in one material or another than in others. This means certain body surface colors may not be possible due to material limitations. I have a whole bunch of thread colors, and just an overall abundance of thread tho 👍

These are custom made to order, and the production is paid in advance. You can do custom colors (body, front vs back color, the color of the inside of the mouth, whether or not you want it to have a tongue, number / color of eyes) and you can POTENTIALLY do other customizations. (Want it to have a ridge on its back like a cartoon dinosaur? Want me to give it horns? Want me to try to figure out how tassles work? Want it to have floppy, doofy, cow-lookin' ears? [I recommend fleece for these kinds of additions, trust me on this one.]) Shape alterations mmmmaayyyyy be possible, but that's pretty dubious. Bear in mind that any customizations / additions will likely drive priduction time wayyy up, and there are things I might not be able to do.

Shipping will be paid seperately, and at the time of shipping. I can't really afford to cover shipping, but also I have no earthly idea how to calculate shipping. I have a tiny scale at home now that I can use to weigh the finished product, but that's about it. These are gonna have to be personally taken to the post office, which means a lot of walking. I dunno, we'll figure it out.

This is all being said and shown in the interest of maximum transparency with this stuff. You will recieve update images with progress on your little monster dude, and you're gonna have to give feedback on the button placements and angles before I sew 'em on so that way I know I've got the look you want on it.

Customizations and additions will add to the price, but the extent to which it happens is (sort of) negotiable. Most customizations are going to be (sort of) experimental on my end, and hand sewing takes forever, especially when you have "everything magically is really hard and takes too long" disease.

If I hit my goal, I'll stop accepting donations. If all 9 commission slots are taken, I will update this post with a good ol'-fashioned pinned reblog and close commissions AND donations. Note that I can only work on one pillow monster at a time, and that it's on a first-come-first-serve basis. If I'm working on one and you want to commission one, I'll let you know and ask if you wanna wait for it. You'll get a number (1-9) to signify whose order I need to do next.
