“Sending someone to wake me up it’s not what a best friend would do, Black.” you muttered, running your hands through your hair as you brushed it away from your face with your fingers.
“Is your roommate still alive?” he asked with a knowing smile, standing straight from his previous position leaning on the wall outside your common room.
That day you hadn’t woken up with the soft sunlight over your face, your skin warm to the touch as you stretched the sleep out of your body, you didn’t wake up to the distant chatter of the rest of the Ravenclaws at the common room or to the smell of your roommates perfumes after they had showered. No. You woke up to the harsh grasp of Anne, one of your roommates, shaking you awake like some natural event was happening and you all had to run out of the castle. Did natural disasters even dare to touch Hogwarts? You didn’t have the time to ask, the urgence in her voice when she told you some Slytherin boy was looking for you outside enough to make your own worry wash away with a groan, turning your back and diving deeper in your bed.
“He said it was important.”
“I’m sure.” you mumbled, your face buried in your pillow as you lifted your head, muttering under your breath as you got out of bed like a grumpy child.
“She’s breathing.” you assured him, a glare permanent in your face as you started to walk beside him “To what do I owe the pleasure of rising this early in the morning?” you asked bitterly.
“You’re the worst.” he said with a hint of humor, making you turn to him in both shock and a deeper glare.
“Excuse you?” you said.
“I play Quidditch, today is the game.” he reminded you, the vague memory of those words being told to you before coming back to you “You asked me to come and look for you just before it began.”
“You’re playing this early?” you asked, looking outside the windows in the corridor to see the sun was barely out in the sky “You’re not playing, Reg. That’s called torture, someone like you should know that.” you said, nudging his side with your arm.
He stayed silent, turning to you before he quickly glanced away. “What do you mean?” he asked.
You looked at him, taking his change of humor in before you answered “You and your habit of making me wake up early.” you explained, but there was no humor behind your words anymore. “Are you sure you feel alright?”
He took a deep breath, one you barely noticed before he nodded firmly. “Of course.” he answered “You’re right, it’s too early. I’m not fully awake yet.” he said, patting his cheeks gently with the pads of his fingers, making you shake your head and laugh. “I thought we could have breakfast together, before the game.”
“I-” you said, linking your arm with his “would absolutely love that.”
Regulus led the both of you to the mostly empty Great Hall, breakfast being served to the few early birds like Regulus that chose to raise with the sun. You would never understand but you had, literally , asked for it.
You seated on your usual spot, your eyelids still a little heavy while you saw Regulus moved gracefully.
“Your tea.” he said, handing you a cup with careful movements.
“How thoughtful.” you answered, taking the cup from his hands as you took a slow sip “But I think if you want me to survive this day I might need something a little stronger.”
He rolled his eyes and said nothing, as he switched his cup with yours with a swift movement across the table.
You looked down in shock at your new cup, the dark liquid reflecting your image and showing exactly how you felt “Since when do you drink coffee?” you asked in a whispered scream.
He glanced at you with little expression on his face “I took a liking to it during the winter break.” he explained.
“Winter break?” you questioned “Did your mother take a liking to it too or what? You’ve never even looked in its direction, not even when I tried to force it on you.” you said, spitting the words. Your arms laid crossed over your chest, your glare set on your face as you saw him shrug.
“It’s because you tried to force it on me that I didn’t try it.” he said back, both of you entering in a small fight over his new liking to the warm beverage, your body language becoming more prominent as you both started to lean on the table, hands pointing everywhere while trying to keep your voices hushed.
“They look like an old couple.” James said from the other end of the Great Hall, taking a bite of his breakfast as he glanced at the silence of Sirius.
“Stop.” Remus warned him, snapping his fingers in front of Sirius “They’ll feel you staring and it’ll be worse for her.”
“Maybe he should feel my stare.” Sirius snapped, lowering his gaze and taking his emotions out on his own breakfast, a fork his weapon of choice.
You hadn't even seen Sirius when you got to the Great Hall but he had heard your laugh the moment you turned right on the door, holding onto his brother’s arm like nothing had happened. Did you forget all that he said? Were you that great of an actress? The smile that inevitably appeared on his face at any sign of you was completely washed away when you two sat down and started talking like you always had.
He wanted that.
“You should talk to her.” Remus offered but James cut him short.
“I don’t get what the big issue is! So your brother is her best friend, why should that stop you from dating her?”
“You forgot the part where Regulus is a Slytherin with the mind and ideas of Sirius’ parents that hates him for being him.” Remus said, all three pairs of eyes on him with an unnatural silence “Don’t look at me like that, you know I’m right.”
“Didn’t have to be so harsh about it.” Peter murmured in his side while Sirius just stared blankly with hopelessness in his eyes.
“Point is,” James added, slinging his arm over Sirius’ shoulders and giving Remus a glare “He already hates you, why not give him one more reason?”
Sirius groaned, moving out of James' hold “Because she doesn’t want him to hate her.”
“She might have to pick.” James added, a bright smile on his lips. “And we all know who would win, right?” he asked, looking for Remus and Peter’s support but only finding his subtle shaking of heads, making all confidence in James fade.
“Yeah, Prongs.” Sirius said, pointing his hand in your direction as he let it fall with a thud on the table, the act of defeatment “The one in the old couple wins. Look at them! Everyone already thinks that they are secretly dating. I stand no chance.”
The three Marauders stared at their friend in disbelief. A side of Sirius Black they never expected to see coming to shine from the dark, making its way into the world for everyone to see it. Sirius Black, the boy who had all the ladies running after him, the one who had no trouble using his skills to have everyone down on their knees and that knew he was worth it of it all and more, that same Sirius Black that now hid his head in between his arms for a Ravenclaw girl who had the heart and wit to befriend his brother and become the shadow of one another.
Sirius Black cared for the girl enough to put his own desires aside and let her be happy, to keep his friendship. The only person she had left in the school. That wasn’t true anymore, but he knew it was the truth for his brother. A brother that deep down he still cared about, he knew that the girl sitting in front of him was his entire world and he didn’t have the heart to hurt two people he cared about for his own happiness. As selfish as Sirius Black was, this time he didn’t want to be. He just hoped he had the strength to keep that promise to himself.
*******
The air up on the bleachers was cold against your cheeks. The day had gotten a little cloudy and you could smell in the air a storm coming in the school direction. You just hoped it wouldn’t start as you watched the game. Moving through all of your housemates you found a seat in the front, a seat for someone who went there all by themselves, someone like you. You went for the sole purpose of watching Regulus play, something you two didn’t share in liking but he was still passionate about, you loved seeing the smile on his face while he flew on his broom.
The students divided themselves without even realizing it, covering the deep blue colors of the Ravenclaw house you could find the team they supported for the day. Dark red banners flew in the air while others jumped with green pieces of clothing. Of course, you didn’t stay behind. Covering the blue of your robes there was a green scarf around your neck. Regulus had wrapped it around your neck just before you went your separate ways, you wished him luck and watched him go to the changing rooms.
But now you didn’t feel sure about it. Wishing you could divide your body and paint one side with the colors of Gryffindor while the other flashed the usual greens.
It wasn’t every day that the two houses played against one another, the natural rivalry making the game all the more interesting for those who enjoyed the competition. They might not be the best teams or the greatest players, but they were the houses of Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin. The tension in the air was stronger than the one of the upcoming storm.
Your attention was captured from inside your head the moment the wind swept your hair out of your face, green and silver flying in the air as each player took their position. They waved proudly, the cheers loud and full of excitement.
Then the Gryffindor team make their appearance. The crowd burst with energy as the team flew around, waving to all the people in the bleachers. It wasn’t unknown how popular they were. Marlene Mckinnon was in their team, one of the prettiest girls in the school, a true Gryffindor and quidditch player. Then you could count on the charisma of James Potter, captain and star. And then there was Sirius, you were certain most people who usually didn’t show up to quidditch games were there only for Sirius.
But then inevitable happened. Sirius flew just above from where you stood, looking down at you with a smile. He moved through the air in a subtle way, glancing in different directions but inevitably ending on you. He flashed you his brightest smile, pointing to his neck as he shook his head.
You looked down, seeing the Slytherin scarf around your neck and feeling a blush come up to your cheeks.
His smile returned to his face, winking in your direction before he dissapeared in the distance. The game began minutes after.
Of course he would make a big entrance in your life after being missing for days. Only he would do that.
Your bubble burst when the cheers to your right began increasing in volume, seeing Gryffindor had scored. You restrained yourself to slow claps, James bumping fists with Marlene as they went back to their positions. The game was getting more interesting by the minute.
The last few minutes had you on the edge of your seat. The scores were even, the Slytherins played sharper and the Gryffindors rougher. Regulus had been after the snitch with no luck, almost fighting the Gryffindor seeker every time each of them caught a glimpse of it. Your eyes were focused on the black haired boy, his eyes snapping to all directions at the slightest sound and then he was gone. You tried to follow him but he was too fast, your neck too sore from trying to keep up, finally losing him in the crowd of players. Still you found your new focus.
Sirius flew through the middle of the field, following close to James as he kept the Slytherin team away from him, the Quaffle secured under his arm. They worked in sync, James flying higher and faster. He wasted no time once he got his shot, throwing the Quaffle with a swift swing of his arm.
Just then the game ended but the cheers grew as every single person joined in. All the players looked down, you following as your eyes widened in surprise. You shot up in your place, throwing your hands in the air. Regulus held the snitch in his hand.
Confusion filled the place as everyone wondered who had won. The game ended with Gryffindor having more points but Regulus caught the golden snitch.
You lowered your arms, looking at Regulus as he met your gaze. He shrugged, going to the ground where all the players were shouting their arguments to the teachers.
A couple of minutes in silence followed as everyone observed the crowd down in the pitch, the frustration clear in their faces. They were throwing their hands in the air, pointing at each other and shouting, the echo of their voices reaching the high part of the bleachers.
“Gryffindor wins!” yelled the student that had been commenting on the entire game. The crowd burst into loud cheers once more, some running down to the pitch while others hugged right there. The energy was too heavy and you couldn’t help but join in, letting out a shout as you jumped in your place.
You ran down to the ground, body clashing against many students going in the opposite direction. And then you met his eyes, far away in the distance, Sirius stood tall over many of the students that were congratulating the team but his gaze remained on you, a smile mirrored in both your faces as you started to walk in his direction, unknowing of Regulus watching you from the side.
He stared at your smile, one he had never seen in your face, and followed the direction of your eyes. It was a sea of people, all of them sharing the smile on your lips but not one sharing the feeling.
Just before you got away from him he reached for you, tapping your shoulder as he followed your step.
“Reg!” you gasped, turning to the side before you pointed at him. “I-I could’ve sworn I saw you over there.” you said, pointing in the direction you were headed.
“I’m right here.” he told you “You look far too happy for someone whose best friend just lost a game because of bad timing.”
You laughed, smiling smugly at him “And I’m the bad loser.”
“It was bad timing and you know it.” he said, about to add something else when he closed the gap from his mouth, seeing your eyes lost in the distance, glancing between him and whatever had captured your attention.
You shook your head and turned fully to him, taking his arm and dragging him with you “If only you were faster.” you mocked, returning to the conversation like nothing had happened.
“If only.” he whispered, letting himself follow your step as he took one last glance over his shoulder.
Gryffindor.

Haven Raised- Chapter 4
Summary:  Harry’s life is completely changed when his aunt and uncle are forced to take him to a funeral at a relatives. Now being raised by Primrose Evans, her sister Grace and the citizens of Havenfall, his life is going to be a roller coaster.

The days leading up to the supply trip were slightly chaotic as the group ran around and tried to find things. It was decided to go to Diagon Alley for the supplies as the magical alleys in America would not carry all the correct supplies anyway though they did go to check, now that Harry was legally allowed into them. A precaution that the government held was that muggleborn children were not allowed to go to the magical alleys without a proper magical escort until they were ten at the very least.  As Prim was unaware of any American magical citizens they had never gone to them.
The only thing they bought in the alley was a set of phones that could reach anyone anywhere and work around magic. They were very cool and could work with any phone provider.
Prim put out the news that Harry was going to boarding school fairly easily and listened to various people comment on it, all surprised she would let him go across the world and some jealous mumbles about the fact Harry had a large inheritance. She gave those people dirty looks. That was not the proper way to react to that news.
“Alright, so the portkey will be leaving in five minutes-” Prim said, as she adjusted her scarf. With them going out, she had cause to wear one of her nicer clothing options- an outfit Grace often called her actress outfit. “We’ll be landing in the Ministry Auditorium- Grace you have-”
“I have my Muggle Pass, I promise,” Grace said to her older sister. A Muggle Pass as Grace called it would let her into the Ministry without setting off their alarms. Prim carried one as well.
“Okay- oh! Sweetie!” Prim grabbed a hat and put it on Harry’s head. “Let's try to hide ourselves a bit longer.” The group waited, all holding the belt that would be used as their portkey, nervous.
When it happened, it felt like a hook had attached to them and they went off. Prim closed her eyes tightly, feeling sick while Grace swore loudly and Harry shouted. When they landed, Prim briskly smoothed her skirt down and adjusted her scarf.
“Utterly ridiculous transportation.” She said.
“Agreed,” Grace said, standing up from where she had sprawled, Harry having to do the same. “How did you land on your feet?”
“I honestly do not know,” Prim admitted. “Well, come along. We have much to do!” They left the Ministry after a quick check-in that had Prim threatening the worker to keep his mouth shut about Harry being in England.
When they did leave though, Prim struggled to find the right street they needed, while both Grace and Harry claimed they had to go to the bathroom.
“Couldn't you have used the Ministry one?” Prim asked in exasperation.
“Hell no.”
“Language.” Prim sighed. She understood- being there risked the chances of Harry being discovered. “Fine. Go to the store and I'll look up the street.”
Prim squinted at her phone as Grace and Harry ducked into a store beside them to use the bathroom. Google maps were acting odd and not giving her the proper directions to the road she needed.
Huffing, she turned to go into the store to ask directions when she ran into a man just stepping out.
“Oh!” she shouted, about to fall back, but the man grabbed her arm.
“Easy,” the man said with a laugh. He was a rather tall man with brown hair and very expensive clothing paired with what looked like even more expensive glasses. He must be from Spain, Prim thought randomly, he has a similar accent to Diego. Very faint, but somewhat there.
“I am terribly sorry,” Prim said as the man let her arm go.
“It’s alright.” the man said in a very smooth tone. He smirked at her. “You seemed to suddenly decide to go into the store fast.”
“My GPS isn’t working very well on my phone,” Prim said. The man gave her a confused look, but Prim felt a bit off from the said look like it was masking something else. Something dangerous.
“GPS? Forgive me, but your accent is American and we are in London…”
“I caved and bought the special travel package,” Prim lied. Thanks to the American Magical Apple Department, her phone was international. The man nodded.
“What were you searching for?” the man asked. Prim went to tap the home button on the screen when Harry and Grace came out of the store.
“Are we going, Mama?” Harry asked.
“One-second honey, I just need some directions,” Prim told the boy, turning back to the man who gave her directions. “Thank you, Mr…”
“Antonio Vasquez.” The man said with a smile.
“Did your GPS bust again sis?” Grace teased and the man seemed to stiffen almost but relaxed so quick that Prim dismissed it.
“Oh shush,” Prim said before she turned back to Mr. Vasquez. “Thank you, sir.”
“No problem Miss…”
“Primrose Evans,” Prim replied. She shook Antonio’s hand and the group split, with Antonio heading off and the Evans going to their shopping destination.
“He seemed… off.” Grace mused. “His gaze…”
“Felt a bit like something dangerous, yes I know.” Prim shrugged. “Maybe he was a dark wizard or such?”
“Whatever. Let's go shopping!” Grace cheered as Harry grinned up at them, his eyes sparkling with glee. They headed to the street and thanks to their Passes, both Grace and Prim noticed the Leaky Cauldron.
“We need to speak with the owner, a chap named Tom,” Prim told Grace and Harry as they entered the bar. Grace looked around in awe while Harry shrank against her slight. Prim simply walked right up to the counter.
“Excuse me.” She said to the bartender. He smiled at her.
“Hello, Miss! Haven't heard an accent like yours in a while.”
“Well, I am from America. Are you Tom?” Prim asked.
“Aye. And you?”
“Primrose Evans sir. I'm here with my younger cousin and sister. My cousin is a wizard and he was accepted to Hogwarts as his parents were British. Neither I nor my sister has magic…” she shrugged as Tom nodded.
“I see. Hmm,- Bruce!” He called over to a scruffy looking fellow.
“Yeah Tom?” The man grumbled.
“Can you help Miss Evans get into the alley with her cousin and sister?”
“Yeah.” The man said, standing up in a hunched fashion. The Evans family followed Bruce to the back where he tapped a brick in the wall. The bricks began to move and even Prim couldn't withhold her gasp of astonishment.
Diagon Alley was a riot of colors and sounds as they stepped through, thanking Bruce as they did so.
Prim looked around the place and spotted the Gringotts bank ahead.
“Alright, so we’ll be going to pick up some money for the shopping. After which we will start with the trunk and see if we can't get some magic to let us carry it easily or shrink it.” She told Harry and Grace who nodded their agreement.
The trip to the bank was fairly simple. She did spend a few minutes chatting with Harry’s accountant. Apparently, the Malfoy family had tried to fight back against the fines leveled at them and tried to get Remus tossed out as he was a werewolf but they had failed each time. Meaning they lost a lot of money fighting. It was funny to Prim, that they had even tried after being revealed as snakes and liars.
“It as well helped Hogwarts greatly. Their potions professor was discovered to be giving unfair points and punishments out but Mr. Malfoy was hiding any complaints made to the board by the parents. He was placed on probation until this year. Time will tell if he's changed.” Boneclaw said with a shrug.
“Good. I hope Harry actually learns something while in school rather than having to deal with a nasty teacher.” Prim said firmly.
They left the bank after confirming that the investments were going strong and with a surprising offer from the Goblins to manage Prim’s own meaner account. Apparently, they had noticed how much the Potter account was making and realized her advice had helped it grow, simply by investing in the Muggle World. They wanted to thank her (or thank her as much as they could) as these choices also helped the bank when they started investing in the Muggle World, growing their money.
Prim was thrilled though she didn't have much money in general, she hoped it would work!
They did go to the trunk store first, finding one that did shrink with a command that was also feather light as well as unbreakable and had a voice lock. It was quite expensive but Prim encouraged Harry to get it.
“You're going to be using this trunk for seven years, honey. You'll be banging it up and down the stairs, slamming it into walls and trying to carry it. As well given…” her eyes went to his forehead for a second. “Everything, having it lock and only respond to your voice to open or shrink is a benefit.”
As well he could completely afford it. The goblins had added extra to his trust and Prim did put what extra money she got from the stipend she received into the trust as well.
With that, Prim also made him get a bag with a charm on it that was called an Extendable Charm. Grace called it a bag of holding with a grin.
“That's some video game term right?”
“Prim, you play video games.” Grace pointed out. “And look up memes for a laugh.”
“True but I never actually know what game that's from.”
“... I'll be honest. I don't either.” Grace said, frowning before she shrugged. “Eh. Come on Harry! Let's go get your books now!” They skipped off after buying the trunk and coding it to Harry’s (and Prim’s) voice. It was a law for a minor to have a second person have their voice coded so a teacher could contact the third party just in case. Prim had happily agreed.
The bookstore was quick and easy- other then Harry begging to buy three books in magizoology. Prim had laughed while buying them. His love of animals was cute. He doted on Spot and often he would carry injured animals he found into the house for help. She was lucky he wasn't a vegetarian- that would be a hard thing to handle with trying to figure out proper substitutions for iron and protein supplements.
Potion ingredients and the cauldron took little time as well. At most, it just was annoying spending the time in the rather disgusting store.
“Why do you need to buy parchment?” Prim wondered as she stared at the stationary store. “Does parchment have magic properties?”
“Maybe ask the guy inside?” Grace suggested as they entered said store.
“I will,” Prim said firmly, going over to ask.
“What else would they use?” the store owner answered in confusion. Prim stared at him for a moment and then turned around.
“We’re buying enough for your assignments but going to Staples for a notebook and pens. I do not like the look of you trying to write notes with those quills!” She told Harry firmly. They gathered what was needed before heading to the next store to grab a telescope.
“This looks super out of date. Maybe he should use mine from my astronomy phase?” Grace asked.
“He can bring both just in case they kick a fuss about him using one or the other,” Prim said before she nodded to a large shop called Madam Malkins. “Let's get your robes, honey.”
“Joy, clothes shopping,” Harry said with a pout. “Can we get ice cream after this?’
“If you do not make that much of a fuss,” Prim told Harry who nodded and they entered the shop to have Harry dressed in his robes.
“You’re here rather early for Hogwarts.” the woman said. Madam Malkin apparently.
“We wanted to get his things sooner rather than later,” Prim explained, smiling. Madame Malkin nodded.
“That makes sense. Traditions do state you come in August but why not as soon as you get the letters?” The woman shook her head and began measuring Harry for his robes. He held out remarkably well and the woman didn’t jump when she had to take Harry’s hat off to measure his head and saw his scar. After they agreed to come back for the robes, they paid and went off to the ice cream parlor where Harry eagerly tried the Chocolate Butterbeer, Grace had Strawberry Unicron- an ice cream that shone a new color every few minutes- and Prim got a simple Vanilla with sparkles that changed color.
“You’re boring,” Grace told Prim. Prim shrugged.
“I accept my status as the boring one. I still get ice cream.” She told Grace who snorted, loudly.
“Boring ones shouldn’t get ice cream, right Harry?” she asked her nephew who hesitated before grinning slightly.
“Right.”
“Rude! The both of you!” Teased Prim as they finished their ice cream. They then went to what Harry was looking forward to most, not that he had said anything.
Ollivander's wand shop.
Opening the door, they looked around at all the strange boxes and shelves inside. Prim looked around for the owner while Grace sat down on the chair in the corner. Harry went up to the desk to ring the bell while Prim stood back a little.
“Hello!” a man said out of nowhere, causing the three to startle. Grace even fell out of the chair, prompting a look of amusement from Prim. “Mr. Potter. I wondered when you would be here…” mused the man, studying him. Prim reached out to grab Harry’s shoulders, leveling a look at Ollivander that he ignored.
“Which is your wand arm?” asked the wandmaker.
“Umm… I’m left-handed.” Harry said slowly. The tape measure Ollivander held began moving then and Prim backed off slowly. She noticed the tape measure going around by itself while Ollivander spoke, his voice calm and even.
“I remember when your mother and father were here for their first wands. Your mother favored a wand that was perfect for charm work while your father enjoyed one that was good for transfiguration. Well, I say favor and enjoyed but it is truly the wand that chooses the witch or wizard Mr. Potter.” Ollivander said. He pulled a wand off the shelf and offered it to Harry who took it with a wave.
And that was when the fun started. Harry tried many wands, over and over again. Grace had pulled out her phone to play a game and Prim was reading one of the books Harry had bought on Magizoology, bored.
“I wonder…” Ollivander said suddenly, bringing their attention to him. He went way into the back of the shop, carrying out a wand. “Try this one. Holly, elven inches with a phoenix feather tail. Nice and supple.” Harry took it and frowned.
“It… feels warm but not…” he said out loud, sounding confused. Ollivander blinked and then a gleam appeared in his eyes.
“Oh, you are a tricky one. Miss, may I take him to the back to get an extra piece?”
“I… yes,” Prim said with a nod and Harry followed Ollivander to the back of the shop where what looked like a workshop was set up. Harry really wished Spot was with him as Ollivander brought out feathers and what looked like strings, placing them on the counter.
“Go on, see what calls you,” Ollivander said. Harry reached out, almost knowing what to do automatically. He hovered his hand over each piece and shook his head, feeling very nervous. Ollivander looked completely confused. “That shouldn’t… hmmm.” He reached into his desk and pulled out a red feather in a small tube. “What about this one?” he asked, putting it down and opening the top.
Harry could feel the heat coming from the small feather as he reached out, hovering a hand over it. It felt like fire but also exactly what he had been missing.
“That one.”
“Fascinating… I never thought a devil feather would work with a phoenix feather. I wonder why…” Ollivander sounded impressed.
“A devil feather?” Harry asked in surprise.
“Ah yes. About… oh, thirty-fifty years ago I helped a young devil escape from England. In exchange, they gave me a feather. This one.” Ollivander said. “I never truly held the same thoughts most of my fellows hold about devils but I still hesitated to use the feather, until now.” He shrugged and took the wand and the feather. “Go back to your mother, it will take only a little time for me to make your wand.”
Harry obeyed and hugged Prim, surprising the woman who hugged back.
Harry just wondered what it meant, that a devil feather worked so well for him?

Prim studied Harry who was snuggling Spot. He had been very quiet since the trip to Diagon and she worried over him.
“Honey?” she asked, walking over to sit down with him on the grass. “You okay?” He shrugged. Prim reached out and ran a hand over his hair, petting him as he petted Spot.
“...Am I a good person?” Harry asked.
“Of course you are,” Prim told him, frowning. “You’re one of the best people I know honey. Why would you ever think otherwise?” Harry shrugged and said no more on the subject, but he did get happier as the start of Hogwarts approached.
On his birthday a white owl appeared as a gift from Remus, as a way to contact him as the ban from contacting Harry would not work if it was from Harry to Remus.
“She’s beautiful!” Harry said, petting her.
“Better give her a good name. I vote Queenie.” Grace said. Harry gave her an affronted look.
“That’s a boring name!”
“No, it isn’t!” Grace said and the two bickered back and forth for a long while until Harry opened his History of Magic book and picked out the first female name.
“HER NAME IS HEDWIG!” Harry shouted and Grace moaned at the loss of a great name while Prim just rolled her eyes at them.
After Harry’s birthday it seemed like September ran right at them, and soon they were in King’s Cross Station, saying goodbye as they couldn’t cross the barrier themselves.
“You be good Harry,” Prim told her son with a hug. He hugged right back.
“I will Mom, promise,” he said. With that, he waved goodbye as he walked through the barrier.

From now on until like… next story this is pure HP with the occasional cameo from Prim and Grace as well as Havenfall’s Finest. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter!!
Plot points:
-Yeah no. Sorry. I don't like Snape. I won't deny he was a ‘Good’ guy but the thing is you can still fight for the right things but be an incredibly shitty person. I think JK did have a widely publish a video where she hesitates on calling him good. Brave? He is brave. But a good man? No. So here he got a talking to early. We’ll have to see what happens later but yeah.
-I’m of two minds of the debate: Muggleborns bring in pens and looseleaf. Like, on one side I think it makes sense that the Wizarding World legit does not have any idea of pens or paper but on the other its like: What if there was a reason?  Here there isn’t but like Prim isn’t sure about the prejudice in the world. So notebooks for notes and first drafts, parchment for later.
-Harry being left handed. Okay, this is more my own amusement but I know that some schools still hold the idea that being left-handed means your evil. Some people do too- I have met some of these people. So the idea of the Dursley family forcing Harry to be right-handed isn’t a far stretch to me. So… Harry is left handed here. Because Prim let him write how he wanted and he just kept picking up his pen or things with his left hand and she never stopped it.

Hello! I really liked the scenarios you did for when the guys wives went into labor. I was curious if you could do the same thing but with Semi, Akaashi, Yamaguchi, and Tsukishima? Have a wonderful day! 💚
Sorry we’ve been so inactive lately, but I (finally) had my baby, and she’s been taking up a lot of my time. This isn’t going to be exactly like the other scenarios, but these are based on my actual labor and delivery experiences, so I hope you enjoy this little slice of realism. ~Admin Emma
Semi
You were well past the point of being done with your pregnancy, and Semi could see it. At almost two full weeks past due with no signs of your little one making her grand entrance on her own, now you were at the hospital at the crack of dawn, ready for your obstetrician to induce you. They’d told you to arrive very early–these processes could take hours and they wanted to give you the best chance of success. Semi had a feeling that today would finally be the day.
“So we have you all checked in. We have to get a baseline reading on the monitor, but everything is looking good so far,” the nurse said, strapping you to a contraption that Semi had spent the better part of the past week or so getting to know–the fetal monitor. “The IV team will be by to put your IV in, just in case, and then the doctor will start the induction.”
“Why does she need an IV?” Semi asked, suddenly nervous. They hadn’t said anything about a needle, and he really didn’t do well with needles.
“It’s just standard procedure with an induction,” the nurse said, her voice a little too cheery all things considered, in his opinion. “If the Cytotec doesn’t work, then we may have to start a pitocin drip, and she tested positive for Group B Strep back in February.”
Semi could physically feel himself pale, and his hand tightened in yours. All of a sudden, this very “routine procedure” was starting to feel very involved. And yet you had this serene expression on your face while the nurse went over things with you. It sounded like she was just humming in his ears, but you seemed so collected. Every possible horrific scenario went through his head in that moment–infections, losing you, losing the baby… it became a swirl of color and anxiety that made him feel like he could pass out.
“Eita,” you said firmly, snapping him out of his anxious death spiral. “Talk to me, baby. What’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong? You… you listened to that nurse tell us every possible worst case scenario and you’re asking me what’s wrong?”
“Eita, I’m pretty sure she just had to tell us all that for legal reasons,” you replied. “Everything is going to be fine–the doctor is going to put a little pill next to my cervix and hopefully, that makes little Makoto want to come out.”
“You sound so calm,” he said, scrunching his nose. “How can you be so calm?”
“I’m a very good actress,” you said with a small, thin, nervous smile. “Eita, I’m terrified, but just think–after all this waiting, we’re finally going to meet our baby soon, one way or the other.”
“Yeah… I suppose,” Semi murmured, pressing his forehead against yours. “I’m just…”
“You ready to meet our little girl?”
“I am,” he sighed, leaning into your touch. “I really, really am.”
“So sorry to interrupt, but I’m with the IV team,” a nurse called from the door. “I’m just here to do ____’s IV and then I’ll be on my way.”
You grinned at Semi, patting the back of his hand gently. The anxious fluttering in his chest was still there, but it was subdued by your presence. He felt a bit like a substandard husband–he was supposed to be supporting you, not the other way around. A familiar curl of self-loathing swirled darkly in his chest, but your bright smile and gentle hand in his hair banished it once again.
“Eita, why don’t you go get the bags from the car while she does my IV. By the time you get back, we’ll just be playing the waiting game.”
He squeezed your hand in his, not sure if he wanted to stay for your sake or for his. But he really didn’t like needles. He took your surety at face value, pressed a kiss to your hair, and went out to the car. One way or another, things were happening today. And he wasn’t going to change things by stressing himself out.
Akaashi
He always knew you were exceptional; you were one of the 15% of women whose water broke before active labor set in. It had happened around 2:30 that afternoon, and given the complicated nature of your pregnancy, the doctor wanted you to be monitored when that happened. Akaashi remembered enough from the few gynecology classes he’d taken in med school that once the water broke, all of a sudden, labor had a ticking clock.
He just never thought he’d have to be on the other end of things. He wanted to slap the nurses working with you–after the doctor had determined things were progressing too slowly for her liking, they set you on a pitocin drip, which required constant monitoring. Between them being utterly incompetent with the IV pump and their monitoring equipment only being able to capture your contractions when you were flat on your back, Akaashi was ready to throw them all out and just deliver your  baby on his own.
“Keiji,” you whimpered, your eyes squeezing shut in pain.
“I’m here,” he assured, patting your hair back from your face. “It’s ok, it’ll be over soon.”
“I can’t anymore,” you sobbed, fat tears rolling down your cheeks as you tried to will yourself to relax. It didn’t work. “Keiji, it hurts. Make it stop.”
“I wish I could,” he said, squeezing your hand as hard as he dared. “But you’re doing great, ____. Just breathe.”
You nodded silently, squeezing his hand back. Your grip was almost bruising, and he didn’t care. Any pain he felt paled in comparison to what you were going through. How selfish could he be that he wanted this more than once? He wished he could take some of the pain away, maybe share the burden… it was so hard having to watch you go through this. He never wanted to see you in so much pain again, no matter the outcome. He knew it would be over soon, one way or the other, but he wasn’t sure he could manage this anymore. Something drew tight in his chest when you let out another pained sob. He rubbed the inside of your leg in a gesture he hoped was soothing…
It couldn’t continue much longer. He couldn’t let it continue… he loved you too much.
Yamaguchi
His hands trembled as he dialed the one person he could always count on to calm him down, other than you. He couldn’t be in that room anymore as nurses buzzed around you to prep you for surgery, taking blood samples and asking questions. Once they’d handed him the scrubs he’d need to change into, it had all felt so terrifyingly real and he needed to talk to someone, even though it was so late at night.
“Tsukki? She needs surgery,” he whimpered into his phone.
“A cesarian?” Tsukki asked, suddenly alert despite the hour. “Is everything alright?”
“She’s not progressing, and the baby’s heart rate keeps dropping,” he answered, fighting tears. “I’m scared and I don’t know what to do.”
“Well the first thing is try to relax,” Tsukki answered. “It’s a fairly standard operation–it will be over in less than an hour. She’s healthy… she’ll be OK.”
Yamaguchi was about to respond with a remark along the lines of if you were healthy and going to be OK, you wouldn’t need surgery, but the nurses started pouring out of your room. You were being transported… it was happening. It was real. He swallowed hard and hung up his phone, following you through the doors. You were clearly exhausted from your long and fruitless labor, because you barely responded when he slipped his hand into yours.
They ushered him into a small waiting room, telling him they’d come get him as soon as the anesthesia took effect. He felt cold panic set in as he watched you roll away from him, tears pricking the corners of his eyes. He’d never felt more scared in his entire life, and every possible worst case scenario ran through his head. He didn’t know what he would do if he lost you or your baby. He tried to think about something–anything–other than what was coming, but with only the ticking clock for company, his anxiety ran a little wild.
“Yamaguchi-san?” A man in blue scrubs poked his head into the waiting room. Yamaguchi recognized him–he was assisting your normal doctor in the operation. “Sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to check on you and answer any questions you might have about the procedure.”
He swallowed hard; “Just… what’s going to happen? Is she going to be awake?”
“We’ll try our best to keep her as lucid as possible,” the doctor said. “We’re administering a spinal anaesthesia, which will numb her from the chest down and allows her to be awake during the procedure. Then we’ll make an incision at the base of the uterus about fifteen centimeters long. If all goes well, the baby will go skin-to-skin with her as soon as we confirm everything is alright. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to cut the cord, given that she will still be open when we separate the umbilical cord. I hope that’s alright.”
Honestly, in that moment, Yamaguchi had sort of forgotten about the traditional practice. He didn’t care… he just wanted you to be safe; “Is she going to be alright? Her and the baby?”
“If it goes my way, it’s going to be fine,” the doctor said, giving him a friendly smile and a clap on the shoulder. “And it usually goes my way. Now the nurse will be in momentarily to bring you into the operating room; in the meantime, I have some advice for you.”
“Oh?” Yamaguchi swallowed hard again, but his mouth had gone totally dry.
“Relax. Take a chill pill. Doctor’s orders.” He shot Yamaguchi a playful wink before heading through the doors once more.
Instantly, Yamaguchi felt better. Clearly, it wasn’t the end-of-the-world scenario he’d built up in his head if this doctor–a man who’d already proven himself empathetic and competent in the hours leading up to your surgery–was making light-hearted jokes. He suddenly felt confident and relaxed–you were going to be fine, and he could be there for you.
Tsukishima
The nurse led him into the operating room, and before he could process what was happening to you, he found a spot on the back wall that was suddenly very interesting. He didn’t look away from it until he was seated by your head. He tried not to pay attention to the awful sounds coming from the other side of that sterile drape, and instead focused on your hand in his.
He wanted to say something–hell, he wanted you to say something… anything. But you were both too nervous, too focused on what was happening, to think of anything. He just held your hand, resting your knuckles against his forehead. After everything you had gone through–all the careful planning and the long pregnancy and the full day in the hospital–he was ready for it to be over, but he was also terrified. He didn’t want to lose you, and he didn’t want to lose your baby. If they made him choose, he didn’t know what he would do…
“Kei,” you whimpered. He could barely hear you over the sound of that God-awful suction, but he heard you nonetheless. You sounded so scared, and he suddenly felt awful–you were the one lying strapped to a table with a giant fuck-off hole in your stomach. You were the one who’d been in fruitless labor all day long. What right did he have…
“I’m here,” he said softly, squeezing your hand a little harder. He knew it had only been a few minutes, but it felt like he’d been in this too-cold, too-bright, too-sterile room for hours, waiting with bated breath while the doctors tried to get to your baby.
“You’re going to feel some pressure,” the nurse by your head said. “They’re going to push her out of you now.”
He squeezed your hand a little harder, his pulse picking up in anticipation. You waited, listening to the doctors with their hushed, urgent tones…
And then, all of a sudden, he heard your daughter’s birth cry, and just like that he was someone new.

Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is a fictional superheroine appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character is a founding member of the Justice League. The character first appeared in All Star Comics#8 in October 1941 with her first feature in Sensation Comics #1 in January 1942. The Wonder Woman title has been published by DC Comics almost continuously except for a brief hiatus in 1986. In her homeland, the island nation of Themyscira, her official title is Princess Diana of Themyscira. When blending into the society outside of her homeland, she sometimes adopts her civilian identity Diana Prince.
Wonder Woman was created by the American psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston (pen name: Charles Moulton), and artist Harry G. Peter. Marston's wife, Elizabeth, and their life partner, Olive Byrne, are credited as being his inspiration for the character's appearance. Marston's comics featured his ideas on DISC theory, and the character drew a great deal of inspiration from early feminists, and especially from birth control pioneer Margaret Sanger; in particular, her piece "Woman and the New Race".
Wonder Woman's origin story relates that she was sculpted from clay by her mother Queen Hippolyta and was given a life to live as an Amazon, along with superhuman powers as gifts by the Greek gods. In recent years, DC changed her background with the retcon that she is the daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta, jointly raised by her mother and her aunts Antiope and Menalippe. The character has changed in depiction over the decades, including briefly losing her powers entirely in the late 1960s; by the 1980s, artist George Perez gave her an athletic look and emphasized her Amazonian heritage. She possesses an arsenal of magical items, including the Lasso of Truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara which serves as a projectile, and, in older stories, a range of devices based on Amazon technology.
Wonder Woman's character was created during World War II; the character in the story was initially depicted fighting Axis military forces as well as an assortment of colorful supervillains, although over time her stories came to place greater emphasis on characters, deities, and monsters from Greek mythology. Many stories depicted Wonder Woman rescuing herself from bondage, which defeated the "damsels in distress" trope that was common in comics during the 1940s. In the decades since her debut, Wonder Woman has gained a cast of enemies bent on eliminating the Amazon, including classic villains such as Ares, Cheetah, Doctor Poison, Circe, Doctor Psycho, and Giganta, along with more recent adversaries such as Veronica Cale and the First Born. Wonder Woman has also regularly appeared in comic books featuring the superhero teams Justice Society (from 1941) and Justice League (from 1960).
The character is an iconic figure in popular culture that has been adapted to various media. October 21 is Wonder Woman Day, commemorating the release of her first appearance in All Star Comics#8 (with the exception of 2017 which held the day on June 3 to tie in with the release of the film of the same name).
Wonder Woman has been featured in various media from radio to television and film, and appears in merchandise sold around the world, such as apparel, toys, dolls, jewelry, and video games. Shannon Farnon, Susan Eisenberg, Maggie Q, Lucy Lawless, Keri Russell, Kate Beckinsale, Rosario Dawson, Cobie Smulders, and Halsey among others, have provided the character's voice for animated adaptations. Wonder Woman has been depicted in both film and television by Cathy Lee Crosby, Lynda Carter, and in the DC Extended Universe films by Gal Gadot.
> Diana Prince
The "Diana Prince" identity has been part of Wonder Woman's history since her comics debut in 1941. In the early Golden Age stories, Wonder Woman served as a military secretary during World War II, using Prince as her cover. Later occupations Wonder Woman performed as Prince included translator at the United Nations, Air Force captain and ambassador, and in the '70s TV series, Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman used Prince to serve as an agent of the Inter-Agency Defense Command. In the DC Extended Universe, Prince works as curator for the Department of Antiquities at the extremely prestigious Louvre Museum and is held in very high esteem by the curator of the Gotham City Museum of Antiquities. Her tremendously long life span, accumulation of immense amount of knowledge and exceptional perceptiveness makes Diana Prince the wisest and most emotionally-intelligent member of the Justice League.
During Marston's run, Diana Prince was the name of an army nurse whom Wonder Woman met. The nurse wanted to meet with her fiancé, who was transferred to South America, but was unable to arrange for money to do so. As Wonder Woman needed a secret identity to look after Steve (who was admitted to the same army hospital in which Diana Prince worked), and because both of them looked alike, Wonder Woman gave the nurse money to go to her fiancé in exchange for the nurse's credentials and took Diana Prince as her alias. She started to work as an army nurse and later as an Air Force secretary.
The identity of Diana Prince was especially prominent in a series published in the early 1970s, in which she fought crime only under the Prince alias and without her mystic powers. To support herself, she ran a mod clothing boutique.
The Diana Prince alias also played an important role after the events of Infinite Crisis. Wonder Woman was broadcast worldwide killing a villain named Maxwell Lord, as he was mind controlling Superman into killing Batman. When Wonder Woman caught him in her lasso, demanding to know how to stop Superman, Maxwell revealed that the only way to stop him was to kill Lord, so as a last resort Diana snapped his neck. To recover from the trauma of killing another person, the Amazon went into a self-imposed exile for one year. On her return to public life, Diana realized that her life as a full-time celebrity superhero and ambassador had kept her removed from humanity. Because of this she assumed the persona of Diana Prince and became an agent at the Department of Metahuman Affairs. During a later battle with the witch Circe, a spell was placed on Diana leaving her powerless when not in the guise of Wonder Woman.
The New 52 universe does not have a "Diana Prince" identity as stated in an interview by series writer Brian Azzarello. However, when she and Superman began dating, for her civilian identity she used the Diana Prince alias whenever she was around Clark Kent; such as when she introduced herself to Lois Lane at Lois's housewarming party under that name.
Personality
Princess Diana commands respect both as Wonder Woman and Diana Prince; her epithetical title – The Amazon Princess – illustrates the dichotomy of her character. She is a powerful, strong-willed character who does not back down from a fight or a challenge. Yet, she is a diplomat who strongly "favors the pen", and a lover of peace who would never seek to fight or escalate a conflict. She's simultaneously both the most fierce and most nurturing member of the Justice League; and her political connections as a United Nations Honorary Ambassador and the ambassador of a warrior nation makes her an invaluable addition to the team. With her powerful abilities, centuries of training and experience at handling threats that range from petty crime to threats that are of a magical or supernatural nature, Diana is capable of competing with nearly any hero or villain.
Many writers have depicted Diana in different personalities and tone; between both of her diametric extremes; that of a worldly warrior, a highly compassionate and calm ambassador, and sometimes also as a naive and innocent person, depending on the writer. What has remained constant, and is a mainstay of the character, is her nurturing humanity: her overwhelming belief in love, empathy, compassion, and having a strong conscience.[citation needed] This trait had been the reason for her induction into the Star Sapphires.
Writer Gail Simone was applauded for her portrayal of Wonder Woman during her run on the series, with comic book reviewer Dan Phillips of IGN noting that "she's molded Diana into a very relatable and sympathetic character."
Actress Gal Gadot described Wonder Woman as "an idealist. Experienced, super-confident. Open and sincere even in the midst of a gruesome, bloody conflict. Having many strengths and powers, but at the end of the day she's a woman with a lot of emotional intelligence".
In the Golden Age, Wonder Woman adhered to an Amazon code of helping any in need, even misogynistic people, and never accepting a reward for saving someone; while conversely, the modern version of the character has been shown to perform lethal and fatal actions when left with no other alternative, exemplified in the killing of Maxwell Lord in order to save Superman's life.
The New 52 version of the character has been portrayed to be a younger, more headstrong, loving, fierce and willful person.[citation needed] Brian Azzarello stated in a video interview with DC Comics that they're building a very "confident", "impulsive" and "good-hearted" character in her. He referred to her trait of feeling compassion as both her strength and weakness.
A distinctive trait of her characterization is a group of signature mythological exclamations, beginning with "Great Aphrodite!", followed by "Great Hera!", "Merciful Minerva!", and "Suffering Sappho!', some of which were contributed by Elizabeth Holloway Marston.
