Thank you for asking, and this isn't a dumb question at all. Of course, contacting HappyElements has been quite the undertaking, so it's only natural to want to know what we should expect. This is a bit lengthy since I wanted to put as much perspective as possible, and as always, I do not mind if others wish to add to this.

The most important thing to acknowledge is that this is an unprecedented scenario, so we're making estimates about how HappyElements will respond. At best, we hope that HappyElements complies with the requests made in the emails and nothing less, with these requests being a) the removal of Ibuki from AKATSUKI since this plays into the existing discrimination and Japanization of Ryukyuans and b) the careful consideration of how Indigenous characters are written going forward. Other additional goals may be added at individual discretion, but in relation to AKATSUKI and Ibuki, this is our main focus.

There is a chance that Enstars can edit or change the story. For example, in Izumi's event, "One Drop * A Specially Chosen Mad Party in UNDERLAND", fans raised concerns about how Izumi and Leo's backstory was mischaracterized in the story, and the line was later changed. However, when it comes to AKATSUKI and Ibuki, we should acknowledge that our concern is with the story as a whole, not a few lines, and so this is not likely. Should HappyElements decide to edit the story, they would likely be attempts to soften the blows that they dealt - but especially for a subject matter like this, it most certainly does not change the fact that the blow is still being dealt.

Another hope is that, even if it does not change AKATSUKI's event, it will push HappyElements to be more considerate in the future with regards to discrimination and characterization. We know that Enstars has been able to change its trajectory with how it approaches topics. For instance, Arashi's earliest stories contained both homophobic and transphobic stereotypes (specifically, she had many stereotypes associated with gay men, which is why the earliest translations of !-era stories tend to use he/him pronouns exclusively. At the time, her gender was not explained.) However, as years passed, the quality of her stories has noticeably improved, with a greater emphasis on her relationship with her gender. Hopefully, pressure from fans will encourage HappyElements to consider the racist, anti-Indigenous message that its pushing, and reevaluate how to approach Ibuki and other marginalized characters.

Some fans are also taking the angle of focusing on mischaracterization as a sort of "foot-in-the-door" technique. Again, as was the case with Izumi, if we can argue that certain things are out-of-character and that the continuous mischaracterization will be a threat to HappyElements' profits, then we might be able to use that momentum to target the racism in the story, since for AKATSUKI, the mischaracterization has been done to facilitate the discrimination that we see, and thus is not wholly separate from the issue. (Though on that note, fans have been asked to emphasize the treatment of Ibuki, since we must not treat occassional mischaracterization as comparable to active discrimination rooted in prejudices that continue to affect Ryukyuans in the present.)

At the same time, we must acknowledge that HappyElements has not made any efforts of note regarding other concerns raised by fans. Most relevantly, the event "Answer * Matrix of Stars Drawn Towards One Another" contains racist, anti-Indigenous sentiments in its depiction of the Amagi village. Instead of taking inspiration from Ainu culture as has been the case with the Amagis thus far, they made the Ainu village a sci-fi setting. Japanese imperialism has worked tirelessly to erase the culture of the Ainu in order to assimilate them. By making the Amagi village less culturally rooted and more fantastical, Enstars erases the presence of Ainu culture from their world - likely because it wasn't deemed interesting enough, since Enstars does value its shock factor - which is insensitive to the plight that the Ainu face to this day.

With all this in mind, we have to remind ourselves that this situation is still developing. The reaction to fans' emails has been mixed in the past, and the response to concerns of discrimination especially has been disappointing. Though, we also need to acknowledge that this is arguably the strongest, most concentrated reaction of the fans towards HappyElements, and we cannot allow them to intimidate us, nor can we allow them to forget that they are enabling dangerous anti-Ryukyuan sentiments that are not without real-life consequence.

Lastly, as I personally see it... even if "nothing" happens, I still ask that fans continue to pressure HappyElements. If HappyElements cannot treat marginalized people with respect, then at the minimum we should do the opposite and show marginalized fans that we stand with them. As I've mentioned time and time again, what we have seen in Enstars is reflective of real-life prejudices that are actively harming people. Even if HappyElements' mind does not change, other people observing the situation may reevaluate their own biases, and we can counteract whatever harms could occur as a result of HappyElements' lack of care.

How To: Auto Height for Shoes

Haiii! As promised, here is the tutorial to make it so your custom shoes no longer require a shoe slider!

Thank you to the bestie who took the time to pick through Madlen's package file to figure out how it worked. And of course, thank you to Madlen who did the majority of the work figuring out how to make this possible in the first place!

Set Up Your Blend File:

We're going to add a plane that will act as the mesh for the SlotRay which will allow for you to adjust the height of your shoes!

Open your blend file that contains the shoes your wish to adjust. In the 3D View, press Shift + S and in the menu, select “Cursor to Center” In the 3D View, press Shift + A and in the menu, hover over “Mesh” then add a plane.

Now size this plane down as small as you can get it. You don’t want this plane visible in game.

Double check to make sure the plane has not moved from the center!! Your sim won't be centered in game if it has! If you see that it's moved:

Press "Shift + S" and click "Cursor to Center".

Then Select your plane and press "Ctrl + Shift + Alt + C", click "Origin to 3D Cursor".

Press "Ctrl + Shift + Alt + C" again and click "Geometry to Origin".

Navigate to the “Object data” tab and under “UV Maps” add a new one then name it “uv_0”.

Next, navigate to the “Scene” tab and under “S4Studio CAS Tools” set the cut number.

Depending on how many cuts your shoes have, you’ll want to adjust this number. For example, if your shoe has 3 cuts (0000, 0001, 0002) then this plane would have a cut number of 0003. Since my boots only have one cut, I will put the number as 0001. Now select your shoes and enter Edit mode. Select a face/vertice/edge on the very bottom of your shoes. Look to the panel on the left side of the screen (if it’s not open, press “N”). Under “Transform”, note down the number next to “Z” After that, save your blend file under another name so you can distinguish which is which. I’ll name mine “Boots_3_Height Cut”

Add a New Cut to your Package File:

We're going to add an additional cut in your package file for the new plane!

Open Sims 4 Studio, make a new package file for your shoes and import them. Go to the Warehouse tab and select your LOD 0, it will be the geometry with the largest file size. Sometimes you have to close then reopen the package to see the geometry. Duplicate this geometry and in the box that pops up, change the last character of the “Group”. It can be any number or letter as long as it’s not the same as the duplicated geometry. On the duplicated geometry, note down the Group, Instance & Type values. Find the “Region Map” and next to “Entries” click “Edit Items”. Add a new entry and in the “Layer” box, type the number you used for your cut. Since I used the cut number 0001, I will type 1. Keep the “Region Type” as “Base” and move to “Models” then click “Edit Items”. Add a new Model entry and paste the Group, Instance & Type values you noted down before. Save and close each box. Find your “CAS Part”, this is your swatch.

If you have additional swatches, it is a good idea to remove them and add them back once you are finished with this process.

Scroll down until you find the “Lods”.

Click “Level: 0” and next to "LOD Models", click “Edit Items”. Add a new entry and paste the Group, Instance & Type values again. Save & close each window and return to the Warehouse.

Adjusting SlotRays:

We are now going to edit the SlotRays for the new cut which will adjust the height of the sim for your shoes!

Return to the new duplicated Geometry and in the “Data” tab, find the “SlotRay Intersections” and click “Edit Items”. Add a new entry and find the “OffsetFromIntersectionsOs” box.

You'll want to change ONLY the middle coordinate number. That will be the height of the sim.

You want to take the “Z” coordinate that you noted down from blender and replace middle coordinate number.  If the number you wrote down is negative (i.e -0.01234) make it positive (i.e 0.01234).

In the “SlotHash” box, change the value from “00000000” to “FEAE6981”. This is the hash for the b__ROOT__ bone in the Sim's Rig.

Save and close the dialogs then return to the warehouse. Next, reimport your mesh and save your package file. You can now test your shoes in game!

Please keep in mind:

You have to do this for every LOD of your mesh

You can freely replace the mesh of your shoes and adjust the height since the cut with the plane has the SlotRay data

Animations may be off since EA hasn't made the game to support taller sims

CAS windows may move slightly if your sim is using poses/animations where they are leaning to the side. This won't affect gameplay

I recommend using Helgatisha's Stand Still in CAS mod to make sure your sim is absolutely centered

Robb would be able to sense the meltdown from a mile away. You had a bad day; everything seemed to be going wrong, and everything just felt wrong. You'd be tense and a more irritable, and he could see the way your fists clenched and your eyes squinted as the council meeting drags on.

He'd hate being unable to do much about it during such an event, and would find himself focusing more on you than the meeting, wondering when the moment is that you'll snap.

You manage to keep a grip on yourself until after the meeting, quickly withdrawing from any social activities and rushing back to yours and Robb's chambers—with Robb following close behind.

You'd be pacing the length of your chambers by the time he caught up with you, your breath heavy and fingers trembling as you fumbled with the laces of your dress, the fabric feeling uncomfortable and only adding to your frustrations.

The first time this had happened around him he had panicked a little, not quite knowing how to soothe you, but as time goes on he figures out all the little ways to comfort and help you.

Greywind seemed to always be the best option for comforting you. You enjoyed the softness of the direwolf's fur and the warmth that emitted from the soft beast. He'd help you out of your clothes once you found them too uncomfortable, helping you into one of his oversized shirts and his fur cloak. He'd make sure the fire is stoked, and you're comfortable on the bed with Greywind and would avoid touching you too much or in any way that may add to your state and would probably sit on the edge of the bed until you calmed down and when you did, he'd pull you into his lap, making sure you're nice and snug against him, letting you fall asleep on him.

Interests:

Your interests are definitely a little different from the usual high-born ladies, but Robb doesn't care. He adores the way you light up with excitement as you talk about your interests, finding adorable and endearing. He'd sit there for hours listening to you talk if he could. Alas, duties as King are endless and constant, especially in a time of war.

That doesn't stop him from listening to you in the evenings as the two of you lay together. You'd be curled against his side perhaps, Robb's fingers toying with the ends of your hair, curling the strands around his fingers as he listens to you talk. He'd let out little hums and add on a little to the conversation but is content to just listen to you, to watch the way you get excited over something you love. Greywind would probably be lying at the foot of the bed, giving your feet some much-needed warmth (wouldn't want to get frostbite and have your toes fall off now, would we?)

Robb doesn't care how silly or strange your interests are, he's just happy you're happy. Nothing makes him happier than seeing that excitement dancing behind your eyes as you fumbled to tell him something new about your interests.

oh please kitty jinwoo is like unpredictable... you don't know when is he gonna plot his next incident. the last one was you coming home to your plants absolutely demolished and jinwoo is his small cat form that obviously had dirt on his fur and fucking face, you had to scold your cat like a mother does to a toddler.

anyway he might actually just push off a glass of waterr off the counter or bite you if you have your eyes set on something else that isn't him, (not so) little kitty is pretty jealous when it comes to his owner.

anyways sometimes whenever you go to work, your co-workers would worry over you whenever they catch some bite marks all over your body and ask if you're doing alright at home. you chuckle at these instances because you answer with 'oh! it's just my cat don't worry' and they would give you a weird look because the hell you mean it's just your cat, what cat leave bitemarks that's almost as big as a human??

i mean it's true because jinwoo would deadass drape over you and get all cuddly and cute like a lovey dovey cute kitty before getting real close to you, your eyes trailing his almost god-like features. jinwoo is just infuriatingly so handsome and it doesn't help the pair of fluffy cat ears adds to his charm.

the moment would be interrupted when you feel a fucking nip on your hand when jinwoo sneakily brought your wrist to his mouth and bit it. the scene after that ended with jinwoo having a victorious toothy smile and you smacking him repeatedly.

how do i color my overlays?

step zero : make the color first !!!

this will be used to color the overlays, your free to make it look like anything, throw in some gradients or some dots!!!

first, ill show you how to color the heart tunnel! ill be doing this on capcut, but this can probably work on most programs! follow my steps!

step one : add the images

make sure to first add the background and then add the overlay!!!

step two : color it

to do this first click on the overlay, scroll till you find "blend" and then click "dodge"

then save! this will be the end result, tada!

wasnt that hard, was it? now lets do the other overlay! ill be doing this again on capcut but this can work on most programs!

lets keep going!

step one : add the images

this time, add the overlay first and then the color! scroll til you find "overlay" -> "add overlay"

step two : color it

haiii !!! i hope you are doing well, i have multiple questions (i’m new to the sims ❤️‍🩹) i’m sorry if they’ve been answered before. my first question is how do you add additional buildings, like your 711, secondly, how do you set up your stories so smoothly, almost as if they’re roleplay, are those mods and things like that? when shin and maya were in school how did you have that whole thing set up like how were you able to see in the school and also was that another building you added, lastly, have you actually had shin and maya since they were younger? or do you have multiple houses so you can do flashbacks as well, i want to start my characters off as teens but i don’t want their development to take too long…sorry for so many questions and if my wording is clumsy !

find buildings online (youtube, thesimsresource, pinterest), download their tray files, and then put these files in the tray files folder (Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray) you can also download buildings directly from the gallery, here is how

i use the free camera mode to film my videos and i use animations like this one to make my sims move in a more natural way

there is a pack called highschool years that allows you to go to school with your sims; the building i used is this one

nope! i have multiple versions of shin & maya, the main ones are the ones you always see and i started playing with them when they were teens. their younger selves (pre-teen, child, toddler) are in another save file and i only use them to film their past, i never actually play with them

So, the basic code for it would be this:


So, first, you're going to find your image link. You can do that like this on computer, by holding down on the image until the drop down menu appears, and clicking "Copy Image Address."

So, now you have your image address! You're going to go back to Simply Plural, and paste that address into that last little bit!

Now, this part is also important: you need to make sure that little paint icon on the right of the text box is turned ON.
