We just returned home after a three day camping trip on the Oregon coast. And I was settling in to watch tonight's Monday Night Football - but I decided to turn the sound down and get in a belated #VinylAndBeerSunday. I decided to spin the 1970 release from THE MOODY BLUES. From the information found on the internet, their sixth release entitled A QUESTION OF BALANCE was an attempt " to strip down their well-known lush, psychedelic sound in order to be able to better perform the songs in concert.". I don't know if that is true or not - because the music is classic MOODIES with wonderful melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and the Mellotron. This album contains one of my favorite tunes from the group - the elegant prog rock classic QUESTION. It's the perfect soundtrack to #NFL game. I am drinking a beer that I had featured before - and forgotten about it until I opened up my UnTapped App. The WILD IPA from CATEGORY 12 BREWING COMPANY in British Columbia is simply fantastic with lots of bitterness, wildness, and wonderful interplay with flavors in the background.
