[Dogrose] French Folk Traditions.
Common names : Dog Rose, Hedge Rose, Rosehip.
Vernacular names : dog rose, wild rose, rosehip (name given to the fruit of the dog rose), in France we call it "gratte-cul" literally "itching-ass", it evokes hairs in the red fruits which can cause itching. Also call cynor(r)hodon, kunorhodon (greek) : Dog Rose, Rose du Chien.
The name “dog rose” comes from the property once attributed to the root of this plant, which was supposed to cure the bites of rabid dogs.*(I will talk about this property further when I will translate extracts from Fournier for the botanical properties of the plant.)
The rosehip is a shrub which, in France, has always had great magical properties.
Suspended from the door or from the ceiling of houses, its branches protect against diseases and spells (North); they prevent cow's milk from drying up, especially after a curse has been cast on it (Limousin).
To cast or "lift" a spell, one uses a rosehip root that one will have picked up in a cemetery on a full moon night. (Languedoc)
The magical and formerly sacred character of this shrub appears in certain prohibitions (taboos), mixed with fear and respect, noted in the 19th century :
you must be careful not to insult it, otherwise the culprit will be affected by an illness that will only go away when he apologizes. (West)
the young girl who picks a rosehip flower will see her marriage delayed for a year.
if this same young girl (mean virgin) touches the fruit of the dog rose, she will fall from the "high-disease" (old name given to epilepsy.) (Drôme.)
laying rosehip flowers on a grave brings bad luck to the family for entire generations.
-
According to a Breton legend, it's the devil who designed the rosehip while trying to make a rosebush.
-
Magical Medicine:
you must cut a branch of wild rose the same size as the patient and put it to dry in the fireplace. When the branch is completely withered, the patient is cured.
various skin problems can be treated in the same way.
certain healers in the Gard treat their patients by pulling up a rosehip at sunrise, a gesture accompanied by magic words. Healers must then walk away backwards.
Sometimes an excrescence that looks like a sponge grows on the dog rose (it is called "rose scab"). It has long been used to dissolve kidney stones and has long been attributed with all sorts of marvelous properties. It protects against toothaches, it brings good luck (if you find it without having looked for it, or if you can't remember where you put it in your clothes)(Loiret), as a poultice on the kidneys it soothes the pain of menstruation and calms the influx of blood.

watching morning practice - competition ice starts early today, so juniors started earrrrrly
practice for the senior international started at 7:45
one team is skating Zorro. if Adrian noticed, can’t tell -is talking to his own team
Katarina del Camp-Akalin/Bert Akalin, representing Turkey, train in North Carolina but is with Pasquale at the boards, so maybe splitting time at Novi?
when a skater makes a mistake in practice other skaters on the ice, esp training mates, will loud clap to encourage them🥺
Ritter/Brykalov have the tallest lifts ever- it’s so dramatic. they have some beautiful elements in this free
makes you appreciate the rock solid lifters who are the majority at this level when you see lifts which look unstable with blades stuttering or precarious looking position changes - seeing a couple of those last night and this morning 😱 pls stay safe
Fournier/Zhu are coming along - he in particular looks like he really loves to perform
Alyssa/Jacob are skating a minor key song, and they feel connected and emotional
Nathan entrusts his medallion to the coaches at practice too, not just competitions 🥺
Leia and Pietro in Mahler white for the FD
omgggg Lily and Nathan making my epic classical dreams come true😭😭😭
i like the tradition of the teams bowing to their coaches to end a session- it feels gracious- some of them bow to or go to thank the announcer/music operator too
zamboni break before the last 2 groups for practice -
Kaitlyn Weaver was here at the event last night. Alper Ucar who’s also on the ISU ice dance tech committee w Kaitlyn also here, was here at practice this morning too. Shawn Rettstatt sat with the tech panel during the event, had the headphones on like they did - is he advising? overseeing?
so many times, teams are needing to pull up to avoid collisions or flying blades . maybe this is normal at schools with a lot of teams, bc nobody looks fazed
B/B’s choreo slide works better in person - it travels so far - ballroom Latin has a really open upper body, doesn’t it? it feels like she’s doing something different with her carriage which doesn’t quite fit?
i realize sometimes knowing a little is worse than knowing nothing- these are just opinions and observations- pls feel free to educate me on the technical points
they played the wrong music for Pate/Bye and i got excited for a sec bc it was out of the box for them. but nope, their music is firmly in the box, and the music was for the Browns
which, let’s gooooooo - i love it!!! no disadvantage in being a sibling team if you can do this- a little kid sitting in front of me stopped eating his bagel bites to watch and went Wow at their SlLi on the music
Lauriault/LeGac - the Wild West program - at this point, these character programs are so polished and smartly done - the acting points, the choreo, the music - this one doesn’t have that wow moment in that they’re repeating lifts, but they’re good lifts
I’m so happy they let us watch them practice❤️

✔ For whichever one of my muses you like most OwO
A QUICK AND EASY PLOTTING GUIDE ! | OOC MEME | ACCEPTING
HELLO YUE!! I won't lie to ya, chief; you've given me a tricky task here! Picking my favourite muse out of your catalogue is like choosing my favourite kind of chocolate, and let me tell you, I have a SWEET TOOTH! Haha!
So, I've cut this post for brevity's sake, but I chose a wild card assortment!
So, in order, I put down
Asteria because my wife. I MEAN because thematically, I think these two would naturally have interactions, with Astaria being a lore-keeper and Amity filling a similar cultural role in Saijikara and Amity being a part of the Pokemon league. Asteria is (presumably) involved with the greater institution as the Hoenn champion, SO YOU SEE WHAT I'M GETTING AT HERE.
Cynthia for similar reasons but also because geographically, she's just a lot closer to Saijikara and Amity by extension. Amity and Cynthia have a similar kind of curiosity and I think it would be interesting to smoosh that together? I don't have the words to perfectly describe it, but they both have a curious but respectful air that, like, I would trust them to go into a tomb and not be a clown about it and instead sit down in the dusty darkness for an hour writing down all the glyphs to translate later. Also, because SPIRITOMB CLUB SPIRITOMB CLUB, if a collection of hundreds of souls can vibe with you and want to help serve your cause, you KNOW you're in good company - safety not considered! Haha
Nathanael because it would fascinating in a 'this is going to go down like a cherry bomb thrown into a bathroom,' not because she can't vibe with his personality (she's very patient and is spectrum/has grown up with others on the spectrum so she's completely missing that trait that gives her friction over some social cues not being followed, (Amity is oblivious, she's aware but doesn't track the following/not following) ) or because she inherently disagrees with his stances, cause honestly she doesn't! It's just the combination of both, the N 'charm,' being questioned and put on the defence, especially in regards to questioning her Pokemon Team (which is ACTUALLY her found family, not in the 'tee hee close friend group' way but like, Whinnie adopted her, he considers her sister, Magnus followed, and others trickled in to form what she calls her coven, they've been the only present family structure she's had since she was 8 and Whinnie rescued her from certain death in the forest - especially given the toxic family unit she returned to after and her mother legitimately coming to hate her - and they were her direct lifeline in raising her siblings. Poking at that is one of the only ways to genuinely get her to break character and get legitimately enraged, which probably would happen) I just - I would kill to see Amity genuinely pushed to express a negative emotion on the main - BUTTTT BUT BUT BUT, I am OFTEN wrong about Amity's reaction to things and how she takes the wheel in regards to herself - Amity wasn't meant to have ADHD, but that evolved naturally. Aside from the entertainment of a blow-up, it could be interesting if they could be civil. I mean - when was the last time Amity got to speak about Saijikara, not about her role appointed and being digestible to an outside audience but just- her genuine thoughts and feelings about it and the change of outside pressure pushing in to wipe away both unpleasant history that still lurks in the corners of your mind in the waking present and the traditions that you hold close to your identity. (also because I can see her lore dumping and N going 'wow, ANYWAYS,' and I think that'd be REAL funny)
AND VOLO -- but Volo mainly because, like, doing this meme WITHOUT including him would be like going to a shrine and not leaving a tithing. I have to pay the Volo tax and give him some attention! It's the law of the land! Haha
My muse(s): Amity De Claire - Joy + Her Pokemon Team & the Coven (Noriko Joy, Orin Fournier, Yuhuza Sataoi, Yvita & Yvona Joy + close family friends like Mako) the whole song and dance of everyone on the property! Y'feel!

Your full thoughts on the dance event?
Let's do this by order of placement in the FD
Nauryzova/Datiev - very slow, very messy
Nette/Westwood - felt like they were underscored, their lifts were very nice and they had nice flow and decent speed. Definitely showing promise
Lafond-Fournier/Kam - nice music that @macaroni-rascal evidently identified as music Tessa used which was hella impressive. They lost some steam in the second half but overall a solid performance
KanaDai and KoKo - will get their own post since this is wild
Harris/Chan - the best they skated this FD all season and showing some really nice qualities, they have a great flow and very nice edge work (that gets sloppy at times). The twizzles are for sure her nemesis. That being said I'm not a fan of the revamped second half of the FD, I get why they changed it but I preferred the old music.
Lauriault/LeGac - it's no secret I like this FD but this wasn't a strong outing for them, they lacked speed and attack and felt slow and tentative even during elements they usually shine in. However, this was still a breakthrough season for them as they consistently beat Soucisse/Firus (who got passed by them, L/L, and even S/W at nationals).
CPom - for me WUZROBBED, their protocols annoy me a lot because the only flaw you see is judges being bitchy towards them. Their choreo spin move is lovely yet gets little love, their character steps are fire and get little love. I hope they and Scott/Madi/Adria/MF will figure out how to max their potential on choreo elements, the rest will come naturally I hope.
Green/Parsons - did well but looked off on lifts and choreo elements, Love the entrance into the spin, their choreo steps were generic but scored too well. I do like them a lot, but MIDA better figure our an identity for them because another season of meh programs will for sure hurt them.
Lajoie/Lagha - their consistency is so impressive, they had one error this entire season and it was a small one during the choreo steps in the RD at skate Canada. I love their RD slightly more than the FD but them being able to do both styles so well is a testament to their abilities. As Ben Agosto wrote, "future world champs".
Candanes - had the best competition of their life and with Laurance having a MCL tear. I feel like if they skate like this at Worlds they have an outside shot at Bronze, either way I just love seeing them deliver like this.
Chock/Bates - my unpopular opinion is that their FD totally grew on me and I enjoy it quite a lot. They are very smart and strategic about their elements, they know how to max their choreo elements GOEs and that's what's been giving them a push the entire last quad. I think their packaging is smart, their elements and their placement is smart (OBSESSED with the choreo spin), and overall as I said before I would rather see them take Worls gold than G/P at this point...
Lastly, shout out to the ice dancers who ovedrall managed the altitude very very well in the FD.
What did you all think about 4CC dance?

It’s Norway 1904, and Asta Hedstrom doesn’t want to marry her odious betrothed, Nils—even though a domestic future is all her mother believes she’s suited for, on account of her single-sided deafness, unconventional appearance, and even stranger notions. Asta would rather spend her life performing in the village theater with her friends and fellow outcasts: her best friend Gunnar Fuglestad and his secret boyfriend, wealthy Erlend Fournier.
But the situation takes a dire turn when Nils lashes out in jealousy—gravely injuring Gunnar. Shunning marriage for good, Asta moves with Gunnar and Erlend to their secluded cabin above town. With few ties left with their families, they have one shot at gaining enough kroner to secure their way of life: win the village’s annual horse race.

Starfall Sleuth: the Fournier Detective Agency
Disclaimer: Any and all information is subject to change as the project develops.
The Fournier Detective Agency is owned by an Honorable Adrien Fournier, the second son of a minor gentry house and the greatest detective of his generation in the city of Starfall and the nation of Astraeria at large.
Despite the mythological reputation he holds as an ego-centric genius, he will gladly admit that he does not complete his cases by himself and requires aid in the form of his various staff, including the young Seele Gardner, the protagonist of the story.
Thus, let's discuss a brief roster of the characters associated with the Fournier Detective Agency:
Adrien Fournier, as previously discussed, is a second son in a noble family, leaving him free to pursue any and all interests without much worry for income and money. As a child, he was always deeply curious and learned to redirect his penchant for mischief into solving riddles and eventually, crimes. While he may play the part of the self-centered genius, he does care deeply for his colleagues, considering them among his closest friends and such an ego is hiding a deeper grief and inability to cope with an incident several years in the past.
Clementine Stark is his personal assistant. A secretary, driver, and even a bodyguard at times, this demure and stoic lady works for Fournier mainly as a form of gratitude. Her father was framed for a murder and the first major case Fournier solved acquitted him. Deeply loyal and hyper-competent, Miss Stark often finds herself fighting with Victoria Kestrel.
Victoria Kestrel is the resident mechanic of the detective agency. She frequently devises new gadgets to assist in the gathering of evidence and solving cases, as well as maintaining the car and the weaponry within the detective agency. She is somewhat of a free spirit, tomboyish in her working persona but a wild partying sort when the night falls. She is often competitive with Miss Stark in all manners of marksmanship and usually bickers about trying to get Miss Stark to adopt more technology in carrying out her duties. She often fails in this regard.
Gaspard LaSalle is a childhood friend of Fournier's, as his home village was the same as the location of the Fournier summer/country estate. An experienced attorney, LaSalle has long learned to suffer Fournier's more obnoxious traits and is the one who makes sure that Fournier is actually caring for himself properly. They often have chess nights in their townhouses and collaborate frequently. If there is a case where LaSalle cannot find enough evidence to help his client, he will always come to Fournier and his agency.
Seele Gardner is just seventeen and the newfound apprentice to Fournier. Her attention to detail and cognitive abilities caught Fournier's eye when he visited the village of Galewell on a vacation and was dragged into a theft case by the local authorities. What her greatest contribution is, however, is her ability to see through glamours and magical effects, making her vital to cases that involve sorcery and magicians. Cases that Fournier himself has sworn off of.
In Fournier's office, the only portrait he keeps clean is the little photograph of a smirking girl with dark hair and violet eyes. She was once known as Solene Watson, Fournier's partner-in-crime and a young sorceress who was drafted for the king's war with the neighboring Celecerres. Watson was Fournier's fiancee at the time, and he never truly got over her death.

REVIEW
Death at Fournier Downs by Cara Devlin
Bow Street Duchess #2
Excellent addition to the series – couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to see what happens next!
What I liked:
* Audrey: Duchess of Fournier, married to her childhood friend and keeps his secret as he keeps hers, extrasensory perception of psychometry, has spent time in an asylum due to her paranormal ability, admirable, strong, intelligent, intriguing
* Hugh: principal Bow Street officer, nanny’s son, Viscount’s by-blow, scandal in his past, well-educated and eloquent, intuitive, attracted to Audrey, honorable, compassionate, a good man
* Sir: a young man from the streets befriended and employed by Hugh, savvy, a bit of light in the stories
* Basil: Hugh’s valet, a voice of reason, grounded, impeccable clothes handler
* The respect, friendship, and commitment Audrey and Philip have within their marriage – it has saved them both from a difficult alternative future
* Phillip: Duke of Fournier, brother, husband, arrested for murder and released when murderer was caught, curious about how his future will unfold
* The triangle that is developing between Audrey, Hugh, and Phillip and wondering how it will be resolved
* The plot, pacing, writing, and the way the story concluded with all mysteries and murders solveds
* That it seems true to the time and believable.
What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to
* How biased, bigoted and small-minded so many of this era were and how cruel they could be to others – even their family.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely
Thank you to the author and BookSirens for the ARC – This is my honest review.
5 Stars
BLURB
After a murder scandal nearly sent her husband to the gallows, Audrey, the Duchess of Fournier, has retreated to the countryside to distance herself from gossip—and from the Bow Street officer who proved as irritating as he was intriguing. But when Audrey’s friend Charlotte, the Countess of Bainbury, dies mysteriously on Fournier Downs parkland, she summons the only person she trusts to uncover the truth: Principal Officer Hugh Marsden. Trying to ignore the mounting friction between them, as well as Hugh’s command for her to stay out of his investigation, Audrey uses her uncanny ability to read the memories of objects to discover a web of sordid local secrets. More than one unlucky lady has been caught within its deadly strands, and a single misstep in their hunt for a killer could make Audrey and Hugh the next targets. Murder at Fournier Downs is the second Bow Street Duchess mystery, perfect for fans of Anna Lee Huber, Darcie Wilde, Deanna Raybourn, and Kerrigan Byrne. Read the first book, Murder at the Seven Dials, available on Kindle Unlimited and in paperback.

Despicable Minions (DM AU) - Wilde/Nelson/Prescott family tree
Important:
Ruby is still a lesbian in my AU (I didn't change her orientation), however, the times when she was younger, LGBTQ+ people weren't very welcome, so she tried her best to keep it to herself. Jacob knew his wife was into women and despite them getting divorce eventually, they remained friends - Jacob now has a new family, while Ruby has a girlfriend named Ivette.
She also lives with Perry, Patsy and Poppy in Mayflower. And finally, Ruby no longer lives and/or knows Lucy, Tom and their families. By the way, during the events of DM4, Ruby was away from town, enjoying her free time in spa (with Yvette, of course).

Solanum Dulcamara /Bittersweet Nightshade/
[Excerpt from P.V Fournier's Dictionary of Medicinal and Poisonous Plants of France.]
-
Common names : Wild licorice, climbing nightshade, Judas vine, wild vine, fever grass, foulbrood, dead dog vine.
Nothing is more graceful than the small, yellow-hearted purple star flowers of Bittersweet, that small vine native to the edges of streams and running or standing waters, light damp woods, dunes, old walls and even hollow trees, especially willows.
It is a climbing plant, more often drooping than climbing, with woody stems and herbaceous branches, which hardly reaches more than 1 to 2 meters. Its leaves are quite varied in shape on the same plant (...), [the flowers are] arranged in clusters and bloom all summer [to then] give way to small scarlet, hanging berries, which are sought by birds in winter.
History :
The history of botany shows us that it is not certain that Bittersweet appears in ancient texts (continual confusion with Strychnos Hypnotikos and Black Nightshade), perhaps in Dioscorides however.
[You have to wait] the 16th century and the Germans to be sure that we are talking about this particular plant.
-
Dioscorides declared the plant a laxative and added that the berries dispelled all stains from the face and skin.
Mathiole asserts that the women of Tuscany also use Bittersweet as a cosmetic and that it is used in a vinous decoction against dropsy.
-
Toxicity :
It would seem that the younger the plant, the less Solanine it contains (which is also valid for Black Nightshade.)
Solanine poisoning causes nausea, vomiting, anxiety, tingling in various organs (?!?), increased secretions, agitation, cramps, convulsive movements of the hands, lips, eyelids, insomnia, vertigo, progressive paralysis of the tongue, weakening pulse, and finally, according to O. Gessner, violent dyspnoea and death by asphyxiation.
Properties :
Bittersweet is slightly laxative, diuretic, stimulant, sudorific, depurative, expectorant, antiherpetic and slightly narcotic.
The part used is the woody stem (at least one year old) chewed, who gives a feeling of bitterness followed by a sweet taste (...)
In fact, Bittersweet is mostly used as a depurative and is effective in chronic skin conditions : eczema, herpes, psoriasis, various scabs, pruritus.
-
Manual :
- Infusion or decoction : 8 to 30g per liter of water; to be taken 3 times a day between meals.
Cazin recommends starting with 4-8g per day and gradually increasing the dose, and assessing body susceptibility as you go.
It can produce at the beginning of the treatment headaches and dizziness, or even an exacerbation of the evil incriminated; but by persisting, the symptoms decrease.
However, it should be done with caution.
- Diuretic wine : 500g of stems boiled in 1 liter of white wine, 2 glasses/day.
- Decoction for lotions and baths : 100 to 200g per liter of water, young shoots or fresh leaves.
- In homeopathy its essence is used against rheumatic affections, urticaria and bladder disorders.
Elements of personal experience :
H. Roth as well as S. Lawless say that this plant can help to "regain its balance" or to "keep it", which seems fair to me.
Nevertheless, there is an old German legend which clearly indicates that this plant is inhabited by a very powerful Fairy (able in particular to fight step by step against *dark* witches / mares) , and I have felt few times, more than an ambivalence, an real ambiguity.
I don't have much experience with the "little people" (apart from the "ones" taken directly from the folklore of where I live), but what I have found is that indeed, the Spirit of this plant can help to find our balance, but (and) he is never there where one thinks he is, and thus he is very "good" to play certain "tricks", typical of the "little people".
With me, he was a sure 'friend' and 'ally' for a very long time, he taught me a lot of things very slowly (because I never understand anything quickly) but the FLASH he showed me once of his great power left me "mute" and "stunned" at the moment.
Also, to guard against nightmares, and unless you have a special relationship with this very powerful "Fairy", I recommend more strongly than hanging a branch of Bittersweet at the head of your bed, to place a branch of St. John's wort (among others, but it all depends on the mares in question, of course.)

Introduction/Who am I?
Okay, so since I’m back on here again in the ongoing exodus, I thought I’d better do an introductory post for anyone who wants to follow as well as refresh old friends and followers. Open to new friendships so feel free to send me asks, reply, or whatever if you want to talk.

A QUICK AND EASY PLOTTING GUIDE ! | OOC MEME | ACCEPTING
My muse(s): Amity De Claire - Joy + Her Pokemon Team & the Coven (Noriko Joy, Orin Fournier, Yuhuza Sataoi, Yvita & Yvona Joy + close family friends like Mako) the whole song and dance of everyone on the property! + Vespodoza because I could see interactions, and they would be interesting.
Imagine meeting with an alternate universe's version of yourself? Wild! I love the prompt, ESPECIALLY for Giratina and Vespo! Even more so given that Vespodoza is the ONLY remaining Pokemon from the world of its origin left alive - the Dialga and Palkia of their world represented the two extremes of existence, the absence and the presence of Vespodoza SUPPOSED to be the in-between to mediate - unlike the present world - but Vespodoza is evil, it didn't mediate, it stoked both flames on either side with its swarm until both deities turned to war, and by then the swarms and Vespodoza had grown so strong that it devoured them both. Leaving the God of their universe to destroy the whole universe as a failed experiment to try and contain Vespodoza... only for him to wiggle out like a cockroach and move onto the next one, and the next one, until eventually, his hubris ends him when HE'S consumed (in spirit) by the little girl who he murdered and stole the body of (while on the flip side, as he's using her body as a sentient cocoon and drug to feel emotions and experiences, it's not capable of understanding on his own : she's consuming his mind and turning the parts of him into her until only one remains: Amity)
Do I know your muse(s): yes | no | a little | tell me about your muse
( OKAY OKAY—I will out myself here. After you responded to my tags on the 'what made you name your blog' reblog chain meme, I HAD to check out your full blog and the lore. Nico and Amity are brothers in misfortune (on paper, at least!) AND possessed by Giritina adjacent entities. How could I not immediately latch on like Velcro?! But like, oh my god, when I say, when I SAY I love them both!! I love Giritina having a little vacation and watching through the eyes of a vessel about what it means to experience an existence that's so small but not insignificant and having that unseen escape from the clashing status quo of him, Dialga and Palkia with Arceus out here both instigating and being the worlds worst referee. BUT ALSO NICO, MY CRYPTID BELOVED, he is so so welcome in Saijikara; I love that he's coasting on the nature of the assumption and truly living like a spectre in the best way. Everyone assumes one part or the other and fills in the gaps they want about him - like who he must be affiliated with - and how he started. meanwhile, he can live his best life, poking and prodding, not needing to be grounded to any one human institution and sort of remaining as that perfect in between of both Giritina, with his godly perspective, and a normal ass bro! )
Setting: our verse | my verse | your verse | modern | alternate universe | other*
(Given the nature of both of our characters, there are SO MANY interesting possible verses and point-in-time interactions that could take place, and I'd love any of them! So, like, DM me so we can get started and plot something because I am OVERFLOWING with ideas!)
Pre-established relationships? yes | no | depends on the relationship
Note: The crossed-off ones are the only ones I can't really see happening. The bold ones are the 'OH YEAH PROBABLY' quick and easy roles I can see Ami slotting into, and everything else is a possibility! If you see something you want to proceed with, then let's plot!!
Possible relationships: friends | classmate | co-worker | roommate | family, real or adopted | dating or blind date | married | friends with benefits | unrequited love | lending a hand | teacher - student | rivals | allies | partner-in-crime | enemies | protecter - guarded | business partners | spy - infiltrated | manipulator - manipulated | star-crossed | first meeting | other
I’m in the mood for: fluff | angst | horror | romance | humor | crime | hurt / comfort | action | supernatural | slice of life | crack | dark threads | light threads | any genre | multi-para | shorter para | one-line | any length | plotted threads | unplotted threads | other (alternate answer: YES)
Feel free to: message me ooc | message me ic | tell me your ideas | write a starter | answer one of my opens | send a meme | reblog this with your preferences - let’s find common interests! (ALL OF THE ABOVE ON GOD)

It seems that I have created another OC, this time for Gorillaz. This is Natalie.... Fournier? Coste? I’m still deciding on her last name, to be honest. Anyways, she’s a musician from Alberta, Canada who mainly composes orchestral music mixed with electronic stuff, something like Lindsey Stirling's music. She gets involved with the band starting in phase, where she’s initially just a collaborator, but she later becomes a touring rhythm guitarist and violinist starting with phase 5. Gets along best with Russel and Noodle. I could probably go more in-depth about her, but 1. I don’t wanna make this post too long, and 2. I’m still working out some details on her.
Now watch as I never draw or bring her up again
(Below this cut is mainly for those who follow me already)
As you may have noticed I’m using a different signature here, and it will be like that from here on out. Only reason I’m changing this is cause I’m more commonly known as and more comfortable with the name Photon on these wild, wild, electronic lands.
#Gorillaz#OC#Gorillaz OC#Natalie Fournier#<-- will be using Fournier for now#It's the surname I'm leaning towards the most atm'#Will be changed if I decide otherwise#2022 art

Best programs of the season so far, in your opinion?
Oh, great question!
I think Lajoie and Lagha have an excellent set of programs, both of them show off their strengths in different ways and also show off their versatility.
Carreira and Ponomarenko have an amazing set of programs, one of the best RD's of the season for me, and that free dance suits them so well, I can't wait to see them skate it at Nationals when they have another two months of training under their belts.
I love Gilles and Poirier's rhythm dance, only because Paul is living his best gay life and I only watch him during it.
I think the Taschlers have a great rhtyhm dance, their edge control and speed is wild, especially that back inside edge they take into their midline step, this screenshot doesn't do it justice, but damn:
Fournier Beaudry and Sorensen have a really well constructed free dance that I enjoy a lot, it builds so well and they are skating the best they've skated since before Nik's injury.
Orihara and Pirinen's free dance about a mermaid/siren luring in a sailor is just so fun, the moment she eats his heart at the end? Iconic. I'm starting to really enjoy that team, and I think they are eons better than the Trukkila and Versluis.
Hawayek and Baker's free dance is just stunning, I wish they were better in lifts, because they sometimes detract from the performance, more than enhance it, but in terms of pure skating skills, it's amazing to watch.
Reed and Ambrulevicius's rhythm dance is also one that I enjoy a lot.
These are all the programs I've gone back and watched again after the competition. :D
