Our whole lives our bodies are told they’re beautiful by random strangers, but appreciating that beauty yourself is condemned. . Hating our bodies is normal, but loving them is frowned upon. . I say that’s bs. I love this body. I love what it can do. I love how I’ve learned to love it despite being constantly taught it’s never enough. . I am seeing an increase in individuals looking for wolf tails. This is a reminder that wolves are still considered "at risk" or endangered and protected in many states. Some subspecies of grey wolf are illegal to kill such as red wolves and Mexican wolves. It is illegal to posses wolf parts in some states. Each state will have different laws, and it is your responsibility to know those laws. Most sellers will be able to tell you if they can sell and ship to you, but they are not the ones responsible for knowing the laws in your state or province of residence. I live in Ontario, Canada. While wolves can be hunted here and in most of Canada, special licenses are required for anyone in Ontario to possess a wolf pelt or wolf parts. "Register for a Notice of Possession — which allows you keep a pelt for personal use — if you: received it as a gift, bought it, brought it to Ontario, found a carcass, acquired it in protection of property" https://www.ontario.ca/page/keep-buy-or-sell-pelt Similar possession laws and licenses may be required in some states too. Meditation Retreat and Updates

I've got a lot going on right now, so here's the rundown.

1) Attending Meditation Retreat We hear a lot about meditation in the Therian/Otherkin community today. However, I suspect that few people are actually meditating properly. To be honest, I've never really meditated much myself. As someone who wants to help others, I thought I should take this unique opportunity to learn proper techniques for meditation, what one can expect, what one might gain, etc. I will also be learning from a very knowledgeable person on the subject, an ordained Buddhist Monk.

This meditation retreat will be four days long at an off-grid forest hermitage. That means no internet or cell phone, and I won't be active here over the weekend of the retreat (August 3-6). I am allowed to take a camera. I plan to tent for the duration of the retreat. I hope I can bring some good information back to the community, and I'm sure I'll learn something about myself too.

2) Update on Q and A video I have not forgotten about this. I have written out answers to most of the questions in preparation for recording the video. I just need to find the time to record it. Easier said than done. But a video will happen in the future.

3) Life Update My mate and I celebrated our 8th anniversary last weekend. We went camping, hiking, and swimming in an area around "Wolf River" and "Wolf Lake". We visited two waterfalls. We saw falcons, loons, and beavers. As a gift, I ordered each of us a wolf fur bracelet from WildAwaken on Etsy. The seller humanely collects the shed fur by brushing wolves at sanctuaries. It's nice to have these bracelets as reminders of what we are on the inside, but it's even more important to me to know that the wolves were not harmed in the process. Wearing the bracelet makes me feel good, but I don't think my therianthropic experiences have changed any while wearing it. Shifts have not been stronger or anything like that.

Heya ^^ How durable are the wolf-fur bracelets? I'd love to get one but they look pretty fragile

I haven’t had mine very long, but I have worn it several times. It clangs against the desk and keyboard at work and isn’t showing any signs of damage yet. I recommend reading the reviews from other people who have bought them too. There are other options for wolf related items like little charms and tiny bottles filled with wolf fur that go on a necklace.
