"Oh, this was a bad idea..." In all honesty, Mirai hadn't actually wanted to go down here. Ultimately, it had been his own curiosity that'd driven him to take the lift down, and he'd regretted it not too long after. At the very least, he figured he could be fast enough to just run away from any monsters that showed up, but that wouldn't stop him from being nervous in the meantime.

"I- um... you look more prepared than I feel right now..." He was mumbling a bit to himself, clutching his tera orb in his hands as he looked at the cavern system looming ahead of them. "I don't usually... do stuff like this."

"Yeah... the place I was born had a lot of big cities. A lot of things were metal and really tall... the place I lived before coming here wasn't quite like that though." The Paldea he'd left behind wasn't quite as advanced, but it had been nice, in a way. Different, but not bad.

"Oh... I know what pikachu are, yeah. There's a lot in Paldea, though I think they're in most regions around the world." He'd never seen pikachu from other regions, though. Only Paldean ones. "I haven't met any pikachu here yet... b-but it's nice to know there's some around? Pikachu are pretty cute- I mean, uh..."

He coughed into a hand, trying to hide the faint blue blush across his cheeks after admitting that. "A-Anyways, I'm Mirai. It's nice to meet you, Gyess."

“Oh! I do not mind at all.” She smiles, not fully as to hide her fangs, but enough to be friendly.

“You dwelt in a city? Is… is that like this place? With the tall shiny buildings and… cars? I have never been in a city until I came here.” She hoped she was remembering the name of the shiny boxes. The world she knew did not have nearly anything as advanced as this place. She was still learning what everything was.

Pokemon? That sounded familiar. “Poke - e - mon? Oh oh! I know that creature! His name is Pikachu! Do you know him too?” No one has told her specifically that pokemon is a general species, rather than just a singular being that is named Pikachu.

“Oh um! My name is Wild Gyess by the way. Most call me just Gyess though.”

Mirai jumped a bit when she started excitedly asking questions, not having expected that. However, he would admit- it was nice knowing there really were other dragons here. It wasn't like they were rare in Paldea or anything, but still..

"O-Oh, um... hmm. How do I explain it..." He tapped a finger against his chin in thought, tilting his head for a moment. "Pokemon all have one or two 'types'. They're like our... affinity for certain things? And also determines stuff we're weak or strong against... so like, I'm an electric-dragon type, which means I'm good with using electric and dragon-type moves."

He'd never really had to think too much about it before showing up here, honestly. But being in a place where that wasn't the norm made him think about it a lot.

"No, it's okay. I don't mind."

At first, she was confused. It seemed strange that multiple a creature could exist. Unless… was its name, not Pikachu, and its species was a Pikachu? But before she could probably connect the dots, she was immediately excited by Dragon-Type.

“Oh! You are a dragon too! Or perhaps more akin to dragons? What does the 'type’ mean? You are two of these types?” The questions were coming quick, as they did when she was comfortable with whom she was addressing.

“Ah! I am sorry if I ask of you too many questions!” She blushes a little from the embarrassment. She tended to get a little over excited when it came to meeting fellow dragons, or even partial dragons. She didn’t really see the difference.

"Would you... mind if I came with you? I... I'd rather not go out there alone..." Any other one of his friends probably would've been better prepared for this than he was, honestly. But none of them were here right now, so he'd have to just... do his best to not panic too much. At least he had his tera orb back, even if he didn't particularly want to use it.

"I lived... in a city. And I didn't really go out into the wild much, until my friends started dragging me out places." Oh, what he wouldn't give to be back in Paldea. At least those scary circumstances were ones he was used to. "I only really know stuff about pokemon, too."

Gyess’ curiosity was what always managed to be a driving force in her decisions. For better or for worse, she just wanted to see things and do things, and she’d been seeing a lot of folks enter the hole. Last thing she remember about the hole was that there was a castle in it instead.

It seemed that she had found someone who was about as nervous, and perhaps just as curious as she was. Wandering unknown places was kind of her specialty, in a way that the forest she lived in was mostly unknown. 

She tried her best to smile warmly. In all truth, she was just as nervous as the creature beside her. She wasn’t used to adventuring alone, but she welcomed the company nonetheless.

“o-oh! that’s okay! I suppose, well, I have lived in a forest for as long as I remember, though I would not say I am… ‘prepared’ for what is to come. Perhaps in this instance, it is better to have another to discover with?”

"Y-Yeah, there's a lot of pikachu..." He'd heard they were pretty common in Kanto too, though he'd never actually been to see for himself. "Dragon types? Um, yeah.. I'm a dragon-type. Or at least, partially- I'm electric-dragon type."

Nevermind the fact that cyclizar had seemed to be dragon-normal type more commonly in the Paldea he'd left behind, because that part wasn't important.

"Some pokemon have dual typings like me, and others only have one. That's just... kinda normal where I'm from, but I guess it isn't elsewhere...?"

She was listening intently to his descriptions of his home. It sounded like nothing she’d ever seen, but a place that she’d love to explore someday. “Woah! That is most amazing!”

“There is more than one pikachu?” She was a little confused. How could there be more than one of a person, or rather creature? Unless they had used a cloning spell, perhaps. Something clicked in her brain as she thought about it more. “Oh! You are from the same world as pikachu! I have heard a little about this world, do you know about um…. dragon… types?” She hoped she was remembering what he called them properly.

She only giggles as he mentions their cuteness and his introduction. “It is also nice to meet you!
