But don't get me wrong. I'm here for naturals jumping into wiggatry. Idc how #versatile is supposed to be, I can get a unit if I want a burgundy bob. Tf I look like permanently being in that state? But shout out to those who been in it strong, was called ghetto when you had blue now carefree hoes got blue yarn hair

Here's the thing - it's a wig.

I love the idea of Ed in braids of some sort, but they need a union stylist that knows how to do top-tier wiggatry for that, or it'll look bad.

Like, here are examples of it done right and of it...not.

Hair styles I would like Edward Teach to try out in S2

Big ole top knot

Space buns

High pony

One thick luscious braid

Some smaller braids framing his face

Butterfly clips (or maybe they can look like teeny tiny ships if they want to keep a nautical theme), worn exactly how we did in the 2000s

An updo with a really elaborate jeweled comb

There’s a fan art I can’t find now that was Ed dressed up for his wedding day and his hair had lovely pearls scattered all throughout it? That, please.

His half up half down style he wore a lot in S1, but with accessories. Ribbons, clips, etc.

A beautiful blow out. How do they have blow outs on a pirate ship in 1717? idk that’s a question for David Jenkins to figure out.

A single flower tucked behind his ear

LOTS of flowers braided through his hair. I’m talking a full meadow.

Maybe a fun scarf!

A fishtail braid just because I admire commitment to a theme

Some COLOR. I really think purple would send a nice message but a bright fuchsia would also be lovely

Back to braids. I think a set of braids pulled into a bun would be delightful.

Also I’d like two big braided pigtails, but only braided until the nape of his neck and then flowing all wavy and loose.

A crown. Even just for a minute is fine. Flower and/or jeweled, please.

I very much do not want him to cut it, but the man deserves to have the full Breakup Hair Experience, followed by the “I’m in a loving relationship with the Gentleman Pirate and I want to express myself through my hair and feel fancy as fuck” experience.

Please note: this list is NOT complete and I welcome any and all suggestions. Also I think it goes without saying that Stede and/or the rest of the crew assist Ed with some of these hair styles.

I bought this hair two weeks ago, and had it sewn-in, only to have to take it out 4 days later because my braid foundation wasn't right. (very important lemme tell you!) So I decided to color the hair and make it into a wig. And with geekscoutcookies as my witness,  the hair lightens SO quickly, I mean, within seconds it was already turning a gorgeous golden brown, 10 minutes into the processing and the hair was a honey blonde. Love it! I also let each bundle process for different times, for example, my two 12" bundles. One processed for 20 minutes, the other for 30, so I could achieve different levels of blonde. I used saran wrap to color on instead of foil, so I could see the color through the wrap since I was working with 6 bundles at a time. I mixed colors together, instead of just applying straight from the bottle. I'll be sewing her tonight and posting pics in a few hours. ^_^

Sunlight pics for nerdpoet. (The purple wig I finished a week or so ago.) The lighter purple looks kind of pinkish in this light BUT it’s definitely purple. (Kiss Purple Rage).

Kinky/curly wig for Estrella-fuego. The hair can be picked out for fluffiness (use your hands, spritz lightly with water and leave in conditioner) but I’ll leave that to her! I'm going to cut the front and then post pics of that.

Inspiration! I own the Rihanna Rocks (by Isis Collection) pictured above (mine is red) and after being gifted with this green/pastel hair today (Black Essence 100% human hair quality color O1B/PS2) I am going to turn this hair into that. Mmhmm. I’m usually all for coloring hair myself because I love the process, but this hair was too gorgeous to pass up, and really…who turns down a gift?? okay? Wish me luck… lol.

For nerdpoet : Barbz, I fell asleep before I could post the photos, I’m so sorry! So here she is, both straightened and curled. She’s layered with long bangs you can swoop to the side. (Let me know if you want shorter bangs.)

One of the purple tones looks pink but it’s the violet I showed you the other day. Let me know what you think!!

For my boo shylalen. Please pardon that last pic, I had just taken the rods out & was in the middle of applying some mousse before packing the hair up in the net when I remembered to take a pic of her.  Curls and a bit of color. 

Used: Outre Premium Natural Indian hair in “Summer Rain wave���, 12”, originally a light brown (6N), dyed dark brown, and black.

A short bob for brownskinnedbeauty. Specs: Outre Purple Premium Pack Yaki in 10” & 12” both in #2, and Outre Duby 8” in #27. I used Salerm Vision permanent color in Azul for the lighter blue shades, and Adore semi permanent color in Indigo Blue, after bleaching the #2 hair.

Corkscrew Curly. Made with Femi Collection all in one 5 pc pack in the color P4/30, mixed with some #27 and #33 Freetress Jazz water hair I had left over from an older wig. Made in December 2013.
