beginner wig tips
1. WASH IT WHEN YOU GET IT!!! wash your wigs when you buy them for the love of all that is holy in this world.
2. Try soaking it in fabric softener over night to treat the fibers. This can reduce shine and tangles.
3. Brush with a wide tooth comb from the bottom to the top.
4. Try teasing and/or crimping your wigs to add volume and hold styling. I prefer teasing over crimping but to each their own.
5. Use hair cutting scissors when cutting your wigs. Also invest in thinning sheers as well to help with styling!
6. Göt2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray is the best hairspray for styling ever!
7. Try brushing baby powder or dry shampoo through your wig if it is crazy shiny even after washing and soaking it.
8. Try using a clothing steamer to smooth and style your wig. It is my preferred method of wig styling. I also steam wigs when brushing them.

Lolita fashion: A guide for beginners and love letter to seasoned Lolitas (Fashion guide part ll)
Tumblr media
Hello everyone!! Few days ago I had made a guide for people interested and doing gyaru fashion (interested people please visit my account to read about it <3) moving on I was intrigued and ready to take on the world of Lolita fashion as well, I hope this guides helps newer people and makes other old followers of this amazing fashion culture realize that it is all about fun and feeling pretty. Some may agree with this and some may not either way I am posting this <3
(Kindly please stop sending d#ath threads regarding this post. Kindly also refrain from sending comments saying I deserve those threaths please 🙏🏼)
My guides start from here on. So as a lot of people know, this culture of fashion was started by taking inspirations from Rococco and Victorian era. Over the years this subculture of Japanese fashion has definitely evolved and this subculture has given birth to many sub styles like most famous being sweet Lolita, gothic Lolita and hime Lolita.
So now that you know the gist of this style let me educate you further that the reason Lolita fashion exists is purely just for fun. People especially women wanted to feel that elegance and olden time beauty and dressed up in Lolita just for fun!! So no. 1 rule of Lolita is to have fun. Enjoy what you wear and buy.
Yes, when you first begin it is necessary that you browse through the summary but make sure to ONLY browse through the history of Lolita fashion. Never pay too much attention towards rules of Lolita because again just like gyaru fashion it was and has always been foreigners who police others and are way too anal about rules when as a matter of fact the whole reason Lolita and gyaru existed was to have fun! Of course but only gyaru had a backstory of opposing with stereotypes of women in Japan.
I am here to tell you that I have lived in Japan during the hype of Lolita and gyaru (also being an avid follower of both fashion culture since the age of 4) and having talking with foreigners and locals I suggest you to only LIKE ONLY listen to locals because they truly know what's up. My guides are filled with my experience and what they have told me.
So let's talk about rules like lace and materials and shit. What I have been told and have been doing my life is that pick any lace design that you feel pretty in because in the end even back then Lolita fashion magazines and shows would only tell you what a typical Lolita would wear like poofy dress and small details like pretty wigs and such but people in streets be it Harajuku or Shibuya or etc etc didn't follow these rules themselves and they were covered in latest Lolita trends from head to toe.
The magazines and such only give you an idea of what you can do or typical image of a Lolita fashion follower. That doesn't mean you have to do exactly that. Things like "stop wearing that" "your lace is ugly" "wow you purchased dress from Amazon? Fuck you" "that dress quality sucks you are NOT a real Lolita" is all doing of foreigner Lolita fashion followers.
I am so sorry if you ever encountered any of these people but Lolita girlies in Japan will never harass you like this.
Plus buying stuff from Amazon is OKAY because even though these days there are many affordable Lolita dresses and accessories, it is okay to still look for options and I understand that some people don't have budget and just because you are tight on budget doesn't mean you should be left out. YOU ALSO DESERVE TO FEEL PRETTY! Amazon might not be authentic if that's what you can afford atm then go for it please, enjoy and have fun because you were to meet other Japanese Lolitas they will say things like "wow I didn't know these days Amazon sold such good quality Lolita dresses" never feel guilty for buying off brand.
What people don't tell you is that these days even brands break some of the rules from Lolita fashion and honestly if the household brands break them then you also shouldn't feel bad about messing up. I just want Lolita fashion culture to be welcoming and I don't want beginners to be afraid and I don't want old members to feel the need to be always classic authentic.
Even the queen and ambassador of foreign affairs kawaii aka president of Japan Lolita Association Misako Aiko who has been doing Lolita fashion for 25 years also mixes and matches from different fashion and breaks so called rules like poofy dress shape, owning few dresses with no laces, hair usually styled in a simple way, not always wearing a blouse or a head wear etc etc.
In conclusion if the president of Lolita fashion and household brands are breaking rules then you should also not feel guilty for few little things here and there. Aim of Lolita fashion is to feel pretty and have fun. You are the prettiest person alive, embrace it and have fun with this style. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Do what makes you happy and don't ever feel guilty about buying off brands because sometimes food, shelter and bills is important and that is understandable.
I love everyone of you. Hope my guides help you a lot <3

Answer to this: If you use a phone, which usually have a wider lens, the doll will look off because wide lens (less than 50mm) distorts things. In this case try to put the doll in the middle of the photo where the less distortion is.
Don't use phone flash or built in camera flash, that's the best way to make your doll look like a creepypasta. You can use camera flash if you put a white plastic cup over it, it will soften the harsh light, and you can fill the cup with white papertowel or put white paper outside, you can experiment! Be careful of lights in general, if the light hits directly the doll's face, the sharp contrast will make the portrait look harsh.
The eyes should be placed carefully, to look alive, you can achieve that usually if the pupils look slightly up and they are symmetrical. Side-eyeing in different ways can look very natural too, looking forward can be cute or intense, depending on the doll's vibe.
If the wig is too shiny or too messy, that can be off-putting too. An obviously fake fur or plastic wig will always look unnatural. You can style fur wigs with a toothbrush or wet your fingers and gently make the hair looks like an organized mess, not a tangled mess. You can make very shiny wig look less shiny if you don't use an artifical light. I know that with heat you can style plastic wigs as well, like boiling water or a hair dryer, but look up the technics and be careful with you and your doll, heat can damage the resin as well!
Don't use props that are proportionally too big for your doll, or put them next to too big items (like a real car) if you want it to look realistic, but you can embrace the doll's doll-ness as well and put them next to human-size stuff. I personally don't care very much but the most life-like doll photos are very careful with any details. Same goes for the doll-clothes, it will only look very life-like if the accessories, stitches, buttons are not too big. If you don't care - like me - that's fine too, this only applies to those who want the most realistic photos.
Be consistent, decide what effect you want to achieve and avoid very fake and cheap looking things. I hope you will find it somewhat useful, if so, I can collect some more stuff. I use a camera and different lenses so if anyone is interested, I can give more tips for beginner camera photographers :) (I'm not a pro myself, but I have a passion for portrait photography and I am doing it for like 8 years now)

1. Sorry for putting in two asks in the span of five or six days un-anonymously. I just don’t know if I’ll get a notification if I ask anonymously.
2. What do you advise to not use for a person just starting to make their own cosplays from scratch? I’m just starting and have already used old Elmer’s School glue and tape because it was all I could easily find.
You’re the only cosplayer i follow on this app so I’m, again, very sorry for the amount of asks you’re getting from me.
no worries at all!
So this is a tricky question because it can be quite broad. Its hard to label things as stuff to always avoid because theres a time and place for everything- BUT I can highlight some beginner friendly materials! Fabric wise, cotton broadcloth is a friendly fabric because its not slippery, not picky about the bias, and its not stretch, making it a good staple if youre looking to start sewing. its also able to be hand sewn. I would also recommend suede as a good starter fabric too because its cheaper and has a good structure (but it can be harder to hand sew).
Construction wise, EVA foam is a great cheap, sturdy base that has some flexibility, which is why its a go-to for non-fabric construction as compared to say cardboard. you can also use air dry clay for smaller shapes, and even paper mache as well for other structures. Glue wise, starting out hot glue was my GOAT, as well as limited applications of superglue. I used hot glue when starting out because it has a much faster dry time than PVA glue (minutes vs hours) can stick better to fabric, and doesnt leave behind a "wet spot" of darkened material like elmer's glue can. Superglue was good for smooth surfaces that hot glue can struggle with, and has a similar fast dry time (but be careful with it around skin since it bonds to skin very well. its what it was originally made for actually!)
every now and again I will use elmer's glue, but more as a primer than as an actual adhesive. the reason being its very slow to dry and it not able to stick to smooth surfaces like plastic very well like superglue can. But ive heard elmer's glue has a lot of applications in wig styling, although I havent used it much outside of small applications myself.
I still use tape, although usually either duct tape to secure foam seams from the back, or double sided fashion tape to help with small security fixes when sewing things.
i wouldn't really say there's materials to avoid, but there are things that are more or less applicable, and things that are easier and harder to use. that being said if you got enough gumption you can make a lot of things work for you, although the end product will be limited by the foundational materials (ie yes you can use pva glue to fuse things, but no it wont be as robust as sewing and/or superglue)

Over a month ago at a convention I bought an issue for an indie Australian cosplay magazine and am finally starting on reading it and I'm ASDFGHJKL at how many instances there are of "start small! start with bought or closet cosplays! only learn one new thing at a time!"
Yeah I guess there's a reason everyone kept going "THAT'S YOUR FIRST COSPLAY????" at me hitting the ground running by deciding to figure out sewing for the coat (with lining), foam prop and armour work for the gun and prosthetic arm, an attempt at wig styling, making the belt and gun holster from scratch, very basic eye shaping makeup with eyeliner......
And now my second cosplay includes making mechanical wings.... starting simple? Never heard of her. The things I make will be a blend of over the top complex and complete amateur/beginner mistakes ✌

QSMP community positivity because the streamer awards made me so happy
(under the cut because it's going to be A LOT)
QSMP Digital Artist - Ate and left NO crumbs ever omg. The amount of detail, varying styles, and epic scenes are my favorite. The variety of art styles for QSMP artist is like just going to a buffet to browse and they're all special little dishes made with so much love.
QSMP Tradtional Artist - HOW CAN YOU DRAW/PAINT SOME OF THIS STUFF?? Watercolor paintings of QSMP bulids, notebook spreads with cute little details, the fact that you can draw traditionally at all. All so talented.
QSMP Beginner Artist - NEVER GET DISCOURAGED <33. Everyone was a beginner at some point and seeing people improve over time with their art is so cool. I consider myself still a beginner even though I've been drawing for a couple years now lol. There is still so much for me to learn, and the fact how kind the qsmp art community is makes me so happy. Keep improving, your art looks great <3
QSMP Fanfiction Authors - I don't know whether to compliment you or ask for my therapy payment (/lh). So many authors have ripped my heart out and left it out to dry and others are like a bucket of fluff and joy. I love both of these. The writing quality is genuinely amazing on so many of these. I love to visualize when reading and with all the details it's basically just watching a movie.
QSMP Web Weavers - You guys are AMAZING. Finding so many quotes, transcripts, fanarts, aesthetic photos, and being able to combine them in a way that represents characters so well is beautiful. Not to mention the fact how your able to put credits for everything in an easy to find way??? Perfect.
QSMP Moodboards/Stimboard makers - These are so cute aaaa. I love seeing them, all the little collections of photos or gifs of characters I like is very fun.
QSMP Poll Accounts - I LIVE for taking polls. It's just fun to have a place to put an opinion you had for yourself that you didn't know how to put unprompted on your own post. Seeing results after a while also makes me happy to see what as a general consensus the fandom is on.
QSMBLR and QSMPTWT users - Transferring information from one hellsite to the other, I admire anyone who can survive in the discourse trenches and come back with account updates.
QSMP Clip accounts - I love seeing silly clips of cubitos, and especially those with transcripts and translations. It's a lot of effort and I admire that. Gives me so much info I would've missed otherwise.
QSMP translators - As someone still currently learning the other languages, it is so helpful when people translate it. Sometimes your brain just hurts and you can only read your native language. Also anyone who translates things from English to other languages, yes please make it for other speakers.
QSMP Multi-Shippers - It's so fun to see these, yes give your cubito 7 different romantic/platonic partners. You guys collect ships like Pokémon and it is inspiring
QSMP Cosplayers - I respect cosplayers so much. The wigs, the makeup, the costume, the PROPS?? All take so much work it's amazing to see final products. I reccently tried making a scythe for one I want to do, and I was struggling. Y'all are so cool.
QSMP Character Analysis Posts - Keeping fanfiction accuracy and my personal view on characters as close to canon as possible. These help so much when I need to look for a character I haven't watched much and easy to read.
QSMP Livebloggers - Save me from losing track of lore when I'm busy. I swear some of you just never sleep (please do but thank you for information). The amount of stuff I can figure out from vague post of combined livebloggers makes it much easier to know what's happening. Most of my mutual liveblog a lot and it saves me so much time <3
QSMP Rebloggers - KEEPING THIS FANDOM ALIVE‼️‼️ Tumblrs algorithm is based on reblogs, accounts that are just lurkers rb stuff ily. Hell yeah man, take all the cool stuff and share it.
QSMP Animatics - Movie night exists because of you guys!! Sometimes you all make me want to sob violently or laugh till I can't breathe. The differences in each video is so fun to see. The effort in each one is just beautiful too, animatics are NOT easy.
QSMP Editors - The fact that people can take a cube game and turn into epic/sad/cute edits with a few clips, transitions, and audios astounds me. You guys are so cool and I love seeing them. Also the fanart edits are so sick, finding the best ones to match.
QSMP Fan Video Creators - Stuff like the Federation Welcoming Workers Video, that one cucrucho cereal video, things like that. Quality is usually amazing and all the unique takes or camera work is epic. Idk what else fits in this genre but I just wanted to mention it.
QSMP RP Accounts - Seeing other people's takes on characters are so interesting and fun to see. RP is a skill I need to work on and it's done pretty well with these accounts. The amount of detail y'all can put is insane.
QSMP OC creators - Cringe culture is dead, I love seeing people make their little characters interact with eachother based on the QSMP. Keep it up and pls share it.
QSMP 3D Animators/Modelers - I never expirence more joy than when I see a 3D model of a qsmp rat spinning around. Also any 3D animators your dedication is insane. I tried learning 3D animation once and that was a STRUGGLE.
QSMP Vod savers/YT summaries -Actual lifesavers, there is no way I could've been apart of this community without them. Watching a few videos a day about what happened on the server makes it easier for me to actually do other things. Also that one person who made a QSMP2023 summary in UNDER 10 minutes, you are insane and did such a great job.
QSMP Accounts in Different Languages - QSMPBLR is heavily more English speaking than other languages, and when people main tag with post in different languages it makes me so happy. This was the point of the server, to let people post in whatever language they wanted. It's also fun for me to practice and try to translate it for myself.
I tried to get everything but please add if you have anything <3

Requesting a Hazbin Halloween request (even though this probably won’t be finished until after Halloween)
Charlie is throwing a Halloween party at the hotel and everyone is wearing different costumes and handing out candy to trick or treating demons
Set after season 1 so Lucifer is present but Pentious is deceased
On time at Halloweens Eve, at least in my Time zone sooo happy Halloween :D Hope you enjoy what i made of your Request :-) It was a lot of Fun writing it!
Spooky Season for Beginners
Tumblr media
Charlie had been planning the Halloween party for a long time and every morning he told all the guests and residents of the Hazbin Hotel , about this very special holiday and how wonderfully cool and great it would be.
And Halloween is a great exercise for building mutual trust.
In addition to some typical games that are common in the human world, the Princess of Hell also put a lot of effort into decorating the hotel's entrance area.
There were carved pumpkins, bats, gravestones, spider webs, skeletons and lots of black and orange decorations. Niffty had been given the task of baking Halloween cookies and with the help of Rosie, Charlie had ordered a partner costume for himself and Vaggie.
All in Halloween style, of course, and Charlie and Vaggie would be portraying the Halloween costume of Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter.
Vaggie was the Hatter and Charlie was dressed as Alice. Keekee the cat had been dressed in a rabbit costume and was watching the wild goings-on and chaos, half asleep on Charlie's arm.
Razzle and Dazzle had also received a few Halloween costumes that Lucifer had chosen and personalized in a fun-sized way.
Charlie's two bodyguard animals were dressed as Milk & Cookies.
It made Razzle and Dazzle even cuter and Charlie was glad that her dad was trying to get involved.
It was after Adam's death caused by Niffty, a change that was unusual, but Lucifer tried to get involved and support Charlie with her dream and the hotel.
And the King of Hell had of course chosen a costume too.
And of course he had chosen a duck costume.
A Halloween costume that was way too big and made the little king look even smaller...but it was Halloween and it didn't bother Lucifer. Because Halloween was one of his favorite holidays...right after Christmas...Easter...his wedding...oh...um, Charlie's birthday! And who doesn't like ducks?
Angel Dust had dressed up as Harley Quinn, the baseball bat and the blue and red mascara rounded off his short outfit, in which Angel felt comfortable and couldn't stop throwing a few teasing comments at Husk, who was forced to wear a clown costume with a green wig by Charlie. Angel had enough Harley/Joker hints in tow to get on the grumpy bartender's nerves. Even though Angel had died in a different decade, he had quickly learned and loved this Harley Quinn costume and her complex relationship with the Joker.
"Come on Husk, you could be my Joker hmmmm?", - Angel cooed with an amused grin and waved at him demonstratively happily with his right hand, which was in a red glove.
Clown Husk, however, just looked at him grimly before heading with a tray behind the bar to the table on which Niffty and Alastor had set up a buffet for Halloween.
The bartender balanced a few spooky cocktails on the tray that shimmered raven-black and orange and were decorated with fine sugar spider webs. Husk placed the tray on a free space at the table and immediately took one of the cocktail glasses.
Alastor himself hadn't put on a costume. He was the radio demon and not a circus clown... even if Husk's green wig certainly made him grin even more, the young Princess Morningstar could still look so pleading with her eyes.
He didn't dress up, but he would be a guest at this Halloween party out of pure interest in this spectacle. (The small crown made of cockroaches that Niffty had made a while ago was also rejected by Alastor) - accordingly, he appeared in a brand new suit... like the one he had in his closet in countless copies. He was scary enough and didn't need to squeeze himself into a ridiculous costume to spread fear and terror...he was a radio demon and that should not be forgotten, especially on Halloween. Nevertheless, Alastor was amused by the choice of the other poor souls and residents of the Hazbin Hotel for this Halloween party evening.
Frank the Egg Boi had dressed up as a miniature version of Sir Pentious to honor his deceased best boss ever, Niffty had helped him sew the little hat and the snake tail. Frank now walked proudly next to Niffty, very excited about this Halloween tradition.
Niffty, on the other hand, had thrown herself into a witch costume and decorated her pointed hat with a little blood. Whether it was real or fake blood was not yet clear, but Niffty seemed to be beaming just as much as Frank, who was very excited about celebrating Halloween and opening the door to the first demons that go around trick or treating and giving them candy.
After Charlie started the Halloween party with a short speech about friendship, the origins of Halloween and the anticipation of soon being able to give candy to all the hard-working trick-or-treaters if they dare to ring the doorbell, it was time for the first games at the party.
Because besides the alcohol, which Husk probably indulged in the most, Charlie had read up on customs and games to make the very first Hazbin Hotel Halloween perfect and memorable.
There was a Halloween scavenger hunt through the hotel, fishing for apples out of a bucket, horror-tactile dares where you had to blindly guess everyday objects by feeling them in a darkened container, Halloween bingo, pumpkin bowling, stop dance, and a costume competition whose winner was to be announced at midnight.
Angel was just in time at the start, playing non-alcoholic eyeball pong (a version of beer pong but with painted table tennis balls that were supposed to look like eyes) for his team consisting of him, Alastor and Husk, ... when the doorbell rang for the first time that evening and to everyone's surprise it was Alastor , who went to the front door and opened it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Ah, children in costumes, let's see, we have a Frankenstein, a fairy, a... shopping basket? And a lion... don't forget to smile children!",  to the surprise of everyone present, Alastor was the person at the door and, with his creepy smile, put a few sweets into the little buckets of the young demon children.
"Alastor? You forgot a child", Vaggie stated dryly and nodded once to a child in costume that Alastor had clearly skipped over.
And the radio demon didn't put any sweets in the little boy's bucket either. He had simply ignored the disguised demon child.
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about, dear”, Alastor said innocently.
“I don’t believe that. Charlie, can you please tell Alastor that every child gets some of the Halloween candy, no matter what they’re dressed up as!”, groaned Vaggie.
“What an incredibly wicked rule! With such a tasteless costume, our little friend should be happy not to be chased off the grounds of the Hazbin Hotel with pitchforks and fire running after him!” - Alastor giggled amusedly.
The little boy had dressed up as Vox. Yes, exactly, as the TV demon Vox. A good reason from Alastor to ignore this tastelessness, and for someone who uses a pathetic, immature demon as his Halloween costume idea, there are no candy.
“Alastor? It’s Halloween - look how cool the little boy is dressed!” Charlie tried.
Alastor's right eye twitched irritably as he looked at the costume.
"Oh i dont think so? It's not even a direct replica! The antenna is damaged on the wrong side ha-ha!", Alastor laughed and slammed the door in the child's face.
Lucifer snapped the fingers of his right hand once and the poor disguised Vox Kid Boy, got a lot of candy in his bucket... and Alastor got a Halloween hat conjured onto his head. Whether he wanted it or not.
"Happy Halloween! And if we play limbo next, I'm for Alastor to start!", Lucifer said amusedly and waddled ahead in his duck costume.
It was going to be a long, fun evening, full of scares, horror and Halloween vibes. A slightly chaotic first Halloween for the Hazbin Hotel and its residents, but one that will be remembered... a good memory... and lots of extra decorations in the form of small ghost figures that were distributed throughout the hotel, by a prankster at midnight... as if they wanted to keep the Halloween tradition going even a few days after October 31st.
But who the mysterious question mark was that distributed these little figures , all over the hotel would remain a mystery without an answer, for better or worse.
THE END

I’m a trans man and I cut my hair very short about 10 years ago, thinking I’d never want it to grow long again even though I missed the texture and length of my hair. It used to be something I was proud of, until people started associating it with only “being feminine” and it started feeling like I was being trapped by the societal views of long hair, especially on young Asian “girls” (which is what I was seen as back then).
Well, 10 years later, 5 of which were spent on HRT and 2 of which were spent post top surgery, I’m starting to grow my hair out again. I have always gravitated towards depictions of men with long hair, mostly in fiction, but men with shoulder length hair or longer have pretty consistently ranked high in my list of characters who I have gender envy of. I saw a short video recently about the history of hair-related beauty in China (I am Chinese) and there was a segment about how for a certain period in Chinese history, noblemen were also expected to adhere to a beauty standard similar to what we’d today associate with women. I already knew that they kept long hair, but I didn’t know that they were expected to be elegant, delicate, and wear elaborate, beautiful clothing. It resonated with me a lot, and it’s what convinced me to try growing my hair out again. I still have no idea how I’m going to style it, or how I’m going to cope with the fact that long hair is going to get me misgendered even more than I already do (the myth of “be on t long enough and get enough surgery and you’ll pass!” is absolutely just a myth. I’m too short, my face is too round, and I have long given up trying to adhere to a standard that would make me unhappy, even if it would alleviate some of the societal impact of my transness).
I do kinda wish I could have long hair and short hair at the same time (before anyone says wigs, I have considered it but there aren’t a lot of accessible wigs for beginners that have the length and texture I’m looking for, and I don’t want to wear a wig anyway, I want it to be my own hair). Idk, I just thought I’d share. Maybe I’ll continue growing out my hair and realize I don’t like it, then cut it short again, or maybe I’ll manage to last until my hair reaches my lower back again the way it was when it was at its longest (just before I cut it very short). Maybe I’ll learn how to style it in a traditional, historical way or even in the modernized way they do in xianxia and wuxia dramas. I hope that with how popular shows like that are, that maybe people will start to learn more about how I experience masculinity—bc that’s how I feel about my long hair.
thank you for sharing!

Who should I cosplay?
I’m trying to pick a cosplay to make for next year because I’m going to go to some cons, but I’m having a hard time pick between a few characters.
The options are:
Coco from witch hat atelier
Tumblr media
I LOVE witch hat atelier, and I think that my face is a pretty similar shape to coco’s. Her outfit doesn’t seem too hard to make and her hair is pretty simple, so she seems like a good character for a beginner cosplayer like me with mild sewing experience.
Richeh from witch hat atelier
Tumblr media
Same points as coco except with longer hair, which I have experience with ( I’ve cosplayed miku). I just also like her character, and think that there probably won’t be many cosplayers of her.
Marcille from dungeon meshi
Tumblr media
Another simpler outfit, I’ve made dresses like hers before, and there’s probably patterns online. I’m almost the same height and eye color as her. But I’m inexperienced with props. And I don’t know if she’s too basic for what I want to do or not, because I kind of want to style a really stylized wig. But she would be fun.
Rin or Len
Tumblr media
I’ve already done miku, and I love both of them. Their outfits are both really cool and I think styling lens wig would be fun.
Kasane Teto
Tumblr media
I WANT TO STYLE HER WIGG. I really like her hair. Downside, I hate red.
Robin from star rail
Tumblr media
I’d definitely have to buy her cosplay and modify it. I love her design, she’s one of my favorites star rail characters. But she might be a bit too complicated.
Misha from star rail
Tumblr media
Misha was my favorite character when I got him, I love his design. Only problem is contacts, which I don’t do. But I think he’d be fun to cosplay.
ganyu from genshin impact
Tumblr media
I’ve been a ganyu main since like, 2021. I’ve wanted to cosplay her but never had the chance. I think her wig would be fun to style.

Rococo Chanel
Welcome to my another artwork! My design reflects the opulent elegance of Rococo fashion, characterized by its lavish fabric, delicate details, and flowing silhouette. The dress features a fitted bodice with a square neckline trimmed in soft lace, giving a nod to the 18th-century French court style. The sleeves are three-quarter length with subtle lace ruffles at the cuffs, and the bodice tapers into a tightly cinched waist, highlighting the refined figure typical of that era. The color palette blends a dusky rose with hints of cream, contributing to the romantic, vintage aesthetic. A delicate ribbon adorns the neckline, matching the soft, ethereal feel of the gown.
The skirt is voluminous and gracefully flared, structured to create a dramatic bell shape, likely supported by a pannier underneath, as was the fashion of Marie Antoinette’s time. The outer layer of the skirt is a richly textured rose-toned fabric, while the inner panel is a lighter, blush pink with a scalloped edge of lace running down the center. The overall appearance of the gown is one of refined sophistication, embodying the aristocratic fantasy of tea parties, lace fans, and powdered wigs. I filled it with vintage teacups, cherubs, and Victorian lace reinforces the nostalgic, fairy-tale charm that the dress so effortlessly evokes. Stay tuned for more artworks. Finally getting around to posting about NYC Dollcon, which really is mostly just my haul lol
I went with no solid plan of things to buy beyond "cute, anachronistic, pink things for Vanora, and also shoes" and managed to find some things. A lot of vendors didn't have much 1/3 scale clothing, or what they had didn't feel like the right style. Unfortunately, one of the shirts I bought for her is too small, so I'll have to look into selling or trading it, since I don't know if I'm particularly motivated to take it apart and alter it to fit better. And the pants that I bought for Faolan are too big, so same thing with those (I was thinking of the pants for his formal outfit when I got them, but honestly, I can just make some simple ones for that anyway). I'm still undecided on what want to do about his body, so I'll probably wait for those. But I bought the things below, including the exclusive head from Logan Dolls, which will become Mercutio, aka discount Shakespeare xD! I got another wig for Vanora too, that's a bit closer to what her hair color should be. It will still need to be styled into a partial ponytail though, so I'm still at "well see how this goes" that I am with her other one lol. I might leave one down so she can have somewhat different hair styles, probably the other one, since it's a little shorter.

Bonus of Vanora in the outfits (minus the heels because i can't seem to get her flat feet off to swap them for heeled ones lol) and dollisabeth in the flower crown I bought for her :3

I went to the molding and casting panel on Saturday, which was really interesting. I don't know if I'll ever sculpt anything, but it could be good to know even for making little accessories or something like that. I mostly wandered and shopped Saturday, and we left a little early xD Sunday I went to the Tianba faceup panel, which was really cool! I also went to the zbrush panel, which was interesting for the bit that people weren't interrupting or arguing with the host (some people were seriously SO RUDE! It was made clear at the beginning that the panel was meant for people with no experience and those who'd tried it wouldn't gain anything, but that didn't stop people who'd tried it before from staying and trying to ask more advanced questions or just argue in what was labelled a beginner panel). I have blendr anyway, not zbrush, but seeing some of the basics would still have been cool. And I also went to the one of joint engineering, but that definitely went mostly over my head because I'm nowhere near trying that xD
The VIP tickets were worth the extra expense! They came with so much stuff! I might have to get a project doll at some point just so I can use the eyes from Tianba, because they're lovely, but don't suit anyone I currently have. And the little teeny monster doll from Logan dolls is cute! the heels have little hearts on them! I'm kind of afraid to try anything with her at the moment though because she's so small lol

I still haven't figured out what to put in the commission forms for the faceup I won in the raffle, so I'm working on that slowly xD I am probably overthinking it, like usual. But also, it says to send the eyes for final pictures, so I need to finish those first I feel like. I think I can also ask for them to do the ear "piercings" which also means sorting out one of his earrings, since it's not a typical stud or hoop. I'm still really excited about it! I've never commissioned a faceup before though, so I'm not quite sure what information is helpful to send and what's more relevant for an illustration (and what's just me infodumping about characters tbh lol).
Overall I enjoyed it! I don't know if I'd go every year (it's an expensive trip with travel and hotel costs!) but maybe every few years if they keep doing it. It sounds like it was successful, so I imagine they'll do it at least one other time.

🎀🕸️How To Look Aesthetic🕸️🎀
If you're ever wondering why your makeup never looks like the Cool People On The Internet™ I've cracked the code. Here's what's I've noticed my looks been lacking.
1. Lashes. If you never tried them before and you want to achieve that Look, you can get them at the dollar store try natural ones and dramatic ones 2.50 investment my guy
2. Circle lenses. This one is for ppl like myself who are alternative. Take a good look at the eyes of the people you follow, if their eyes aren't Uniquely stunning (i.e. notable in any way basically), they probably have contacts in that make their limbal ring (that's the ring around your iris. Fun fact! :D Naturally dark limbal rings on people are considered considerably attractive by a wide number of people, but people don't typically note them to be THE part of the eye they find interesting and fun to look at-- they just say shit like "there's something/a spark in them" or whatever but I know this because I know what *I* like and I like rings and darkness, back to my point, they make the limbal rings) ever so slightly (or massively) larger than natural. They're super cute! Look into cosmetic/contact lense Safety and Hygiene/Care and then try them out!
3. White/Pale foundation. For my goths and editorials/avant gardes! Now, This one is a touchy subject! My biggest piece of advice is your desire for white/pale foundation should be driven by an artistic vision (Ex. goths; looking dead/having pallor (a sickly paleness), vampiric, ghostly, doll-like etc) and Not from pressure to fit in/look Whiter (as in the demographic of people. I'm talking about colorism). I mean it so wholeheartedly when I say the goth community is better with everybody in every skin tone. You can paint your face if you Want, if that is your individual desire for Self Expression, but any scene that makes you feel like you need to Hide Your Skin in order to be welcomed is a racist, shit scene you should steer clear of. Literal white supremacy, don't fall for it. You belong here. That being said, sometimes you just want a pure white base! It has that Classic Goth Je Ne Sais Quoi! Plain skin or skin colored foundation just might not cut it for your vision for yourself. Make sure to take care of your skin, breaking out hurts!
4. (Bonus) Wigs. It can be hard to tell sometimes but maybe what you're missing is a wig. Some people really appreciate that Totally Perfect, Doll-like hair or access to elaborate/high maintenance styles.
5. (Beginner bonus) Liquid eyeliner. Lots of makeup beginners are pointed towards pencil eyeliner because of their ease of use, but if you're new and wondering why your liner isn't as inky black, sharp, and is prone to smudging, it's because what you want is liquid eyeliner. It takes a little practice to get the hang of it, try it before you take a shower, experiment and watch tutorials, use accessibility tools if desired/necessary, you'll probably get it. You'll want some makeup wipes too, be frugal and don't get too frustrated (trust me it's embarrassing to cry about eye paint. Personal experience.)
