i'm making myself laugh thinking about this but I wholeheartedly believe madame morrible absolutely HATES the thought of glinda and elphaba being together like the mere mention of gelphie would probably send her into immediate cardiac arrest and it's not even because she's homophobic or anything I just fully believe she dislikes glinda so so much she's just like this is absolutely NOT happening in my house.

glinda and elphaba are having their gay ass moment and she's like "I sense a disturbance in the force; the wind is telling me those fucking lesbians are at it again."

like IK this woman hates to see glinda's fruity ass coming for several reasons but first and foremost I believe it's because she's so fucking ANNOYED by how much elphaba loves and cares for her, like this pink bitch is throwing a wrench in her plans just by EXISTING and being herself.

i do mourn glinda's wardrobe more than anything else the movies could possibly change. every one of her costumes in the musical is so deliberate and there's so much visual storytelling done with them. her skirts get progressively longer as the show goes on because she's growing up. she goes from warm colors to cool colors because she shifts from naive and sunny to melancholic and serious. her accessories go from little purses to actual jewelry and her wand and tiara as her "public persona" solidifies. green and blue are incorporated to signify her relationship with elphaba. you can trace her whole character arc with just the way she dresses.

in the movie she just wears pink. all the time. the same shade of it. a bit of lavender if we're lucky :/

you'd swoon when you looked out the window and saw him walk out to the curb to check his mail, the way he looked in those grey sweatpants and that white t-shirt...

he'd give you a polite smile and a slight nod when you passed his house on your daily walk while he was working in his front yard, which made your face heat up instantly.

you'd build up the courage to interact with him more, make excuses to be around him. you'd share your baked goods with him or ask for help around your house with something... anything to get closer to him.

your hand would brush against his as you hand him a container of cookies you'd baked for him to try...the electricity of his touch lingering long after.

john could tell you had a crush on him, so he'd occasionally tease you, make you squirm under his intense gaze and soft smiles, his voice sending chills down your spine.

he'd lean on the fence between your yards, listening intently while you chatted with him about your day. his muscular arms flexing as he gripped the wooden post.

Anyway, after watching the Wicked movie again, I think my ideal outcome of the love triangle in a canon divergence scenario is "Gelphie and their free-range boytoy Fiyero who comes and goes as he pleases."
